of a missing Derby student are starting their own appeal today to

help find him. 20`year`old Nadish Kunwar was last seen on a night out

with friends in the city centre three weeks ago. After he'd left

them he was seen walking on CCTV. This lunchtime his friends and

former classmates are handing out leaflets and filming their own

appeal for information about his disappearance.

Campaigners have been in Nottingham calling for a region`wide payrise

for workers today. The TUC held a rally in the city centre this

morning, joined by the MP Lilian Greenwood. They say that while the

economy has started to show signs of growth, worker's wages have lagged

far behind inflation. It's that gap they blame for the 'cost of living'

crisis, as they call it. Getting a pay rise is the quickest way for

people to see more money in their pockets, and people go out and spend

that, and that helps create other businesses and provide other people

with a salary. For the last four years we have seen incomes

declining. One in five people are earning below the living wage. For

most people, the pound in their pocket is not buying what it used

to. The people of Nottingham, the people of the East Midlands and the

rest of the country actually need to be earning enough to go out and

purchase and actually live a decent life.

To this afternoon's football. Nottingham Forest are on the road to

Burnley. Derby are hosting Bournemouth, and a win for them,

with a loss for Forest, could see the Rams move to second in the

Championship, behind only the Foxes, who face Ipswich. In League One,

it's an important match for Notts County. A win for the Magpies over

Shrewsbury could see them move five points clear of Shrewsbury and,

vitally, out of the relegation zone. Shrewsbury are the same, but these

are the big six pointers. Now that they are here, I feel that we are in

the right possible frame of mind to approach them in the right manner.
