There have been calls for calm after three people were injured

when a car mounted a pavement outside a pub in Islington.

but police say the case is not terror related.

Police seal off a stretch of the Essex Road late last night.

It was just minutes after this card mounted the pavement,

Two men and a woman were taken to hospital - none are thought

At the beginning, I guess the four or five minutes,

I was not sure what's happening, because the car was broken,

When you were seeing this and you were seeing

lots of police around your house, how did it make you feel?

I start to be worried and shaking to be honest,

I was shaking in the window and a little bit hiding behind my

curtain, because I was absolutely not sure what's happening.

The only traces of what happened last night are these yellow markings

on the road that show where the car travelled off the road,

where many people would have been sat having a drink.

It then travelled back onto the road,

where it was left right in the middle, abandoned.

The people in the car ran from the scene,

where two knives were found - one inside the vehicle

Police say the crash is not terror related,

but following the attack in Westminster this week,

many questioned whether this had a similar motive.

I can quite understand why people have jumped to conclusions,

but this wasn't a terrorist incident, this looks like crime.

My thoughts go to those were terrified last night and those

up their largest community in London, say they could be forced

to go their separate ways, because of the proposed

redevelopment of the Elephant and Castle shopping centre.

centre for the last 25 years, but now she fears her livelihood

It's like a family now, the community what we have,

Latin American together, this is the place I start,

and the place all my friends, my clients I make all these years.

And she's not alone - there's over 100 other

What made you guys come here all those years ago?

Well, it was a very cheap place to invest...

But that could change if new plans to redevelop

the space get the go-ahead, something that has left many angry.

One of the things that the planning application does not cover is,

by policy, there should be 10% of retail space

in big developments that should come as affordable units.

That is not included in the planning application.

Well, love it or hate it, there's no doubt

the Elephant and Castle shopping centre is a local landmark,

but look around, there's unprecedented change happening.

There's tower blocks popping up all over the place,

and now the owners of this key site want to do the same.

They want to build this, 1000 new homes, a cultural centre,

a new university campus and retail units.

But critics say the new shops won't be affordable

or accessible to the smaller existing retailers.

In a statement, the owners said that retaining local and specialist

retailers is key to our ambition to support the diverse vibrancy

of the area, and we will continue to help

The shopping centre has had many makeovers, extensions

and even a change of colour, but now, after 52 years,

its owners feel the time has come for a complete restyle.

Football now, and an international friendly to be played tomorrow

in London between Nigeria and Burkina Faso has been called off.

The match was due to be played at Barnet FC's Hive Stadium,

but seven Burkino Faso players couldn't get visas to come.
