In Look East tonight: A dramatic rescue on a beach after | :00:06. | :00:12.
a 15-year-old girl is buried alive. Hello, welcome to Look East. | :00:12. | :00:14.
Also tonight: Rowan Atkinson leaves hospital | :00:14. | :00:18.
after crashing his McClaren supercar near Peterborough. | :00:18. | :00:25.
What Milly the monkey means when she does this... | :00:25. | :00:35.
:00:35. | :00:44. | ||
And the fastest ice cream van in Hello. More on the beach rescue | :00:44. | :00:49.
story a little later. But first, the road accident involving Rowan | :00:49. | :00:52.
Atkinson. The star of Mr Bean and Blackadder | :00:52. | :00:56.
left hospital this afternoon after crashing in Cambridgeshire. His | :00:56. | :01:02.
McLaren F1 supercar hit a tree on the A605 and he suffered a shoulder | :01:02. | :01:10.
injury. Blackadder... Mr Bean. Roles that | :01:10. | :01:14.
have made Rowan Atkinson recognisable the world over. But, | :01:14. | :01:21.
after crashing his supercar, doors open, wedged against a sign... The | :01:21. | :01:26.
start today did not want his face seemed. Hospital security keeping a | :01:26. | :01:30.
camera away while the actor is escorted into a private ambulance | :01:30. | :01:34.
and driven off. His minor shoulder injury had been treated overnight | :01:34. | :01:39.
after a crash that happened here. At the roadside today, skid marks, | :01:39. | :01:44.
debris and snapped trees. Reports say the supercar spun several times | :01:44. | :01:47.
before leaving the road. It then ripped through all of these trees | :01:47. | :01:53.
and ended up by that signpost there. That is where it caught fire. Rowan | :01:53. | :01:59.
Atkinson is known for his love of cars. His F1 McLaren costs around | :01:59. | :02:03.
600,000. On top gear in recent weeks, he topped the leaderboard in | :02:03. | :02:10.
the show's star in a reasonably priced car. The McLaren F1 is | :02:10. | :02:14.
another one of your... I have still got it. That is interesting, I | :02:14. | :02:20.
don't like that. I know, you have never been wild about it. But I | :02:20. | :02:24.
have lived with it for 14 years. Reports say the comedian walked | :02:24. | :02:28.
away from this, waiting for an ambulance, fire crews and police | :02:28. | :02:33.
with a passer-by. His breathalyser was negative. His agent today would | :02:33. | :02:37.
not comment on the crash and said they were just happy and relieved | :02:37. | :02:47.
:02:47. | :02:52. | ||
that Rowan Atkinson was OK. All this week we have been looking | :02:52. | :02:56.
at the impact of immigration and in a moment we will be hearing some of | :02:56. | :02:59.
what you have had to say. But first to Peterborough. Four years ago we | :02:59. | :03:02.
took a close look at a particular problem affecting schools and the | :03:02. | :03:05.
health service. So let's start with an extract from that original | :03:05. | :03:06.
report. The exodus from Poland is being | :03:06. | :03:09.
felt here. Many said the population in Peterborough is at bursting | :03:09. | :03:11.
point. At Fulbridge Primary School in September, the head had to turn | :03:11. | :03:16.
away up to 100 mostly Eastern European children. Two years ago we | :03:16. | :03:20.
had about three children from Europe in our score and now have | :03:20. | :03:27.
over 80. I would be worried as much on a Peter Brown level as on our | :03:27. | :03:31.
level -- a Peter Brown level. It needs recognising. Get into the | :03:31. | :03:35.
cities and schools and find out what is going on. If they do not do | :03:35. | :03:38.
that? Is not, the schools will be swamped. | :03:38. | :03:41.
So that was Fulbridge Primary nearly four years ago. In her | :03:41. | :03:44.
special report tonight, Emma Baugh has been back to that same school | :03:44. | :03:54.
:03:54. | :03:54. | ||
and to a local doctor's surgery to see if much has changed. | :03:54. | :04:03.
Good afternoon... And migrant families are still a huge part of | :04:03. | :04:06.
life at Fulbridge Primary and the pressure on places is still the | :04:06. | :04:10.
same. This particular board in this area | :04:10. | :04:14.
has had more migrants than any other ward in the country. Next | :04:15. | :04:19.
year in our reception class, we have a waiting list of about 70 | :04:19. | :04:25.
children. We can admit 90 children into our school but there are 70 | :04:25. | :04:30.
without a place wanting to come here. Up the road, at the medical | :04:30. | :04:34.
centre, they are accepting 140 new patients a month, mostly from the | :04:34. | :04:38.
migrant community. What we find is that, particularly if they do not | :04:38. | :04:44.
speak any English at all, we are on to the translation line which | :04:44. | :04:46.
extends the time of the consultation which obviously is an | :04:46. | :04:50.
added burden and pressure when it is a busy day and you have a lot of | :04:50. | :04:54.
patience. Finding figures for the number of Eastern European people | :04:54. | :04:58.
that have moved to Peterborough is difficult, but some figures suggest | :04:58. | :05:03.
that up until this year it has been more than 20,000. Members of the | :05:03. | :05:07.
Polish community feel it could be 20,000 for just Polish people alone. | :05:07. | :05:12.
I do think it has gone too far. I think there are so many immigrants | :05:12. | :05:16.
now that there are not enough jobs. It is not something I see as a | :05:16. | :05:21.
problem. Fundamentally it is an opportunity for this country are. | :05:21. | :05:25.
just feel as a country we are losing our identification, which is | :05:25. | :05:31.
putting more pressure on hospitals, doctors. Izabela Obyie has set up a | :05:31. | :05:36.
Polish organisation for the city. The discussion tends to go into how | :05:36. | :05:45.
much stress has been put on to doctors, schools, and there is not | :05:45. | :05:49.
well balanced with the fact that we pay taxes. Back at Fulbridge | :05:49. | :05:53.
Primary, the head teacher says he welcomes migration and says | :05:53. | :05:56.
families encourage their children to work hard because they | :05:56. | :06:00.
appreciate what Britain offers. Families are staying longer but the | :06:00. | :06:04.
school does not know how many more will arrive. | :06:04. | :06:07.
We asked for your views on our reports on migrant workers in the | :06:07. | :06:10.
region, and lots of you got in touch. Gary Phillips says shame on | :06:10. | :06:13.
us for suggesting Eastern Europeans are doing jobs British workers | :06:13. | :06:18.
don't want to do. "I have been out of work since April and have | :06:18. | :06:22.
applied for hundreds of jobs". Graham Glover asks whether the | :06:22. | :06:25.
farmers for whom migrant workers are a first choice are the same | :06:25. | :06:29.
ones who exhort us to buy local produce instead of cheap imports? | :06:29. | :06:31.
Meanwhile, Richard Kerrison says migrants are employed ahead of | :06:31. | :06:35.
British workers because they are cheaper. "The British are not bad | :06:35. | :06:41.
workers". And finally an email from Mariela | :06:41. | :06:45.
Di-Rupo. She came here in 2004 and did washing up, shelf-filling and | :06:45. | :06:48.
factory work. Now she is a buyer for a large engineering company, | :06:48. | :06:52.
but she suspects she will always be "the foreigner who came to this | :06:52. | :06:58.
country and pinched a British job". Thanks to all of you who got in | :06:58. | :07:05.
touch. We always like to hear your stories. | :07:05. | :07:08.
Next, more on that story about a 15-year-old girl recovering in | :07:08. | :07:18.
:07:18. | :07:19. | ||
hospital after being buried alive on a beach. The emergency services | :07:19. | :07:22.
were called to Caister on Sea near Great Yarmouth just after 3pm this | :07:22. | :07:24.
afternoon. Paramedics, the fire service, and a | :07:24. | :07:28.
crew from the local lifeboat helped dig the girl out of a hole which | :07:28. | :07:31.
was eight feet deep. Tonight, paramedics say she is lucky to be | :07:31. | :07:33.
alive. Our chief reporter Kim Riley is there now. | :07:33. | :07:37.
This is the stretch of Caister beach where the drama unfolded. The | :07:37. | :07:41.
15-year-old was in a hole which could have been as much as 8 ft | :07:41. | :07:45.
deep. It is just along by the beach cafe. It has now been filled in so | :07:45. | :07:49.
no one else gets into danger. When the alarm was raised, an awful lot | :07:49. | :07:54.
of people came to help, with bare hands, with shovels, and try to dig | :07:54. | :07:58.
her out. Among them were crew members from the local volunteer | :07:58. | :08:05.
case to live by it, the station is just close by. -- Caister lifeboat. | :08:06. | :08:11.
Sand can be very dangerous. Even if you get three, four food on top of | :08:11. | :08:17.
you, you cannot move. It packs in, especially when it is wet, further | :08:17. | :08:23.
down, very wet and very solid. She is very lucky. I was the person who | :08:23. | :08:28.
pulled her free in the end, then they got her on the stretcher. She | :08:28. | :08:34.
was so tight in the sand, it wasn't even up to her waist and you could | :08:34. | :08:39.
not pull her up. After how long we heard she had been in there, we | :08:39. | :08:43.
thought she was dead, that is how bad. But as soon as we lifted the | :08:43. | :08:47.
head up and we cleared the air was, she started trying to breed herself | :08:47. | :08:51.
and they got all of the monitors on, gave her oxygen and she started to | :08:51. | :08:55.
pick up, the signs were getting better all the time. But it was | :08:55. | :09:01.
touch and go at one point. As they were digging down, the | :09:01. | :09:04.
first thing they saw was dark hair in the sand. The teenager had been | :09:04. | :09:08.
buried for as much as 10 minutes and was suffering from what they | :09:09. | :09:12.
called a respiratory arrest, she was blue in the face, really quite | :09:12. | :09:19.
cold. A paramedic probably saved her life. A helicopter was close by, | :09:19. | :09:24.
taking part in an exercise it, and flew back to hospital. Tonight we | :09:25. | :09:28.
understand she is in hospital, sitting up in bed and is apparently | :09:28. | :09:32.
breathing well. But this is by no means the first incident of this | :09:32. | :09:36.
kind along this stretch of coast. The great feeling here tonight is | :09:36. | :09:41.
that this 15-year-old girl has been very fortunate. | :09:41. | :09:43.
Still to come: The weekend weather and sport, | :09:43. | :09:45.
including the start of the new football season. | :09:45. | :09:48.
There's cricket, too, and Mike Liggins on the ice cream van with | :09:48. | :09:56.
go-faster stripes. Yes, it can do 186 miles an hour, | :09:56. | :10:00.
allegedly, but how will it get on in a race with a touring car? Find | :10:01. | :10:10.
:10:11. | :10:11. | ||
out after more from your part of Workers at Remploy in Norwich are | :10:11. | :10:13.
worried about their jobs. The company, which specialises in | :10:14. | :10:16.
employing people with disabilities, is currently subsidised by the | :10:16. | :10:22.
Government. But a recent report has suggested the money could be better | :10:22. | :10:28.
spent on other things. Throughout her adult life, Susan | :10:28. | :10:32.
Wright, who is autistic, has struggled to find a job. You look | :10:32. | :10:37.
at the job vacancies and it says, must work on own initiative. I once | :10:37. | :10:44.
went for a job and the man said, I don't think it is your cup of tea | :10:44. | :10:47.
because you have to serve 100 people and we expect you to work | :10:47. | :10:51.
under pressure and I might get panicked. After six years of | :10:51. | :10:55.
unemployment she landed a job here at Remploy in Norwich. But now she | :10:55. | :10:59.
and around 60 co-workers with disabilities fear that employment | :10:59. | :11:05.
could soon come to an end. The fear stems from this, a review which | :11:05. | :11:08.
recommends the government moves away from subsidising specialist | :11:08. | :11:11.
factories like Remploy and instead spends the money on specialist | :11:11. | :11:16.
schemes like access to work progress. That is where people with | :11:16. | :11:19.
disabilities are funded to work in everyday jobs alongside the able- | :11:19. | :11:26.
bodied. Opponents say this would begin to tackle workplace bullying | :11:26. | :11:32.
and discrimination. Access to work helps with people who are | :11:32. | :11:36.
experiencing bullying, it helps the employer put in the right policies | :11:36. | :11:42.
at work, and only if we do that will we wipe out bullying at work. | :11:42. | :11:52.
There will always be a need for Remploy. It provides employment for | :11:52. | :11:56.
those that would find it very difficult to find work outside. | :11:56. | :12:01.
Susan believed she had a job for life at Remploy. That may no longer | :12:01. | :12:06.
be the case. A helicopter company which used to | :12:06. | :12:09.
operate services for the air ambulance and the police in Norfolk | :12:09. | :12:12.
has gone into liquidation. 19 people work for Sterling | :12:12. | :12:15.
Helicopters, which is based at Norwich Airport. The administrator | :12:15. | :12:19.
says there is only a slim chance the business can be saved. | :12:19. | :12:22.
The Conservative Party in Brentwood has taken the unusual step of | :12:22. | :12:24.
delivering leaflets apologising for comments which they made about the | :12:24. | :12:30.
Liberal Democrats. They have also paid damages to one of the party's | :12:30. | :12:33.
councillors. Our political correspondent Andrew Sinclair is | :12:33. | :12:39.
here. What is this all about? This goes back to last summer when | :12:39. | :12:44.
the Conservatives put out a leaflet which accused the local Liberal | :12:44. | :12:47.
Democrats, and in particular their group leader David Kendall, of | :12:47. | :12:51.
misleading resident and peddling dishonest propaganda. David Kendall | :12:51. | :12:55.
decided to sue them for libel, and settled out of court. The | :12:55. | :13:00.
Conservatives paid him 4,000 in damages and agreed to put out a | :13:00. | :13:04.
leaflet saying sorry. This is the leaflet, a very fulsome apology. It | :13:04. | :13:10.
will be sent to 8,500 homes in the town and says, we hereby advised | :13:10. | :13:13.
that such allegations were, in fact, false and were wrongly made for | :13:13. | :13:16.
political gain. We apologise unreservedly. | :13:16. | :13:20.
It is a bit embarrassing for the Conservatives? | :13:20. | :13:25.
They are putting a brave face on it, saying they thought they could win | :13:25. | :13:28.
the case out of court because cost of be too much, but it is | :13:28. | :13:34.
embarrassing. The local MP in this town is Eric Pickles and the former | :13:34. | :13:36.
leader was Brandon Lewis, now the MP for Great Yarmouth. | :13:37. | :13:42.
It must be unusual to send out a leaflet like this to say sorry? | :13:42. | :13:45.
Politicians will sometimes a Surrey and withdraw allegations, but to | :13:45. | :13:49.
put out a leaflet like this is very rare, and the only time I can find | :13:50. | :13:54.
that it happen before was, ironically, in Brentwood when the | :13:54. | :13:57.
Liberal Democrats said sorry and pay damages to the Conservatives | :13:57. | :14:01.
for libelling one of their councillors. Maybe this is payback | :14:01. | :14:05.
time? Took thank you. | :14:05. | :14:07.
The controversial guided busway in Cambridgeshire will finally open on | :14:07. | :14:15.
Sunday - two years late and 64 million over budget. It will link | :14:15. | :14:18.
St Ives with Cambridge, and is thought to be the longest of its | :14:18. | :14:24.
kind in the world. It is designed to take traffic off the busy A14. | :14:24. | :14:28.
The project has been dogged by controversy. Cambridgeshire County | :14:28. | :14:31.
Council is taking BAM Nuttal to the High Court to recover 30 million | :14:31. | :14:34.
it says it is owed. A great story now from Colchester | :14:34. | :14:38.
Zoo. This is Milly the Monkey, and researchers believe she is putting | :14:38. | :14:43.
her hands over her face for a very specific reason. They say it is | :14:43. | :14:51.
actually sign language, and it's unique to her family. | :14:51. | :14:56.
Breakfast Time in the monkey enclosure. An eager youngster grabs | :14:56. | :15:02.
a mango for himself. The alpha male flaunts his spectacular backside. | :15:02. | :15:06.
But these monkeys are unlike any others. It all started with Milly | :15:06. | :15:12.
the Monkey. And this. Is she depressed? Or to she had a sore | :15:12. | :15:17.
head after a night out on the tiles? It was odd behaviour, we had | :15:17. | :15:22.
not seen it on any of the other primates. We thought maybe she had | :15:22. | :15:28.
something wrong with her side, shading her eyes from the Sun. That | :15:28. | :15:33.
was our initial explanation. We got a vet in to examine her, and her | :15:33. | :15:39.
eyes are fine. This young male's behaviour indicated he wanted | :15:39. | :15:44.
Millie to groom him. But she was having none of it. What is | :15:44. | :15:47.
fascinating scientists is that no other population of these monkeys | :15:47. | :15:52.
seems to use this gesture, just the ones he at Colchester. It seems | :15:52. | :15:57.
Millie invented it. It also seems to be that she is saying, leave me | :15:57. | :16:03.
alone! Now, six young males in the group have adopted the behaviour. | :16:03. | :16:07.
Maybe she thought that by covering her eyes she is not having eye | :16:07. | :16:11.
contact with the others, indicating that she wants to be alone, she is | :16:11. | :16:16.
not looking at them. But it seems her habit is catching. Even Silvio | :16:16. | :16:26.
:16:26. | :16:34. | ||
It is that time of year when some producer tells me to remind people | :16:34. | :16:37.
the sun has been shining, so it must be the start of the football | :16:38. | :16:46.
season. But it has, and it is. We have also got cricket from | :16:46. | :16:49.
Northampton and the Big Touring cars Championship. But first, the | :16:49. | :16:52.
football. Yes, the football season starts | :16:52. | :16:55.
tomorrow. Yesterday, we took a close look at our teams in leagues | :16:55. | :16:57.
One and Two. Tonight, it's the Championship. Peterborough, managed | :16:57. | :17:00.
by Darren Ferguson, and Ipswich, with Paul Jewell in charge, both | :17:00. | :17:07.
juggling different expectation levels. | :17:07. | :17:12.
He sold big and spend big bike championship standards. But can | :17:12. | :17:16.
Ipswich go on a promotion when this season? The way Paul Jewell is | :17:16. | :17:21.
putting the side together, I think the goal is promotion. The money is | :17:21. | :17:24.
there, he is prepared to spend it, we have every chance of making the | :17:24. | :17:28.
play-offs, at least. With seven new signings it is easy to see why the | :17:29. | :17:32.
fans are positive. A regular goalscorer has been banned and | :17:32. | :17:37.
Michael Chopra. Lee Bowyer might not be everyone's cup of tea but | :17:37. | :17:43.
his pedigree is impressive. David Stockdale arrived on loan from | :17:43. | :17:49.
Fulham. He was called up by England last season. Town continue to be | :17:49. | :17:57.
bankrolled by this man who makes it 5 million deficit every season. | :17:57. | :18:04.
are all frustrated, we all want to be up there every season, but it is | :18:04. | :18:08.
myself, the players or the fans. Everyone is clear where we want to | :18:08. | :18:12.
get you. In Edyth is unlikely to be hard fought, Town are hoping to | :18:13. | :18:22.
spend more cash. But it has been a remarkable four years for | :18:22. | :18:29.
Peterborough, one relegation and three promotions. They famously | :18:29. | :18:33.

Thankfully, they are more realistic now. Stay up, that is what we are | :18:36. | :18:43.
going to be. I suppose in a way it is easy to do, we have just got to | :18:44. | :18:47.
stay up, maintain ourselves and establish ourselves as a | :18:47. | :18:51.
championship club. Peter Brown need to build steadily. The | :18:51. | :18:55.
redevelopment of London Road begins in autumn. They have cashed in at | :18:55. | :19:02.

of the Old Trafford's youth team players have arrived on loan. The | :19:08. | :19:12.
youth team player of the year at Manchester United? It was good to | :19:12. | :19:21.
win that. Posh return united in their battle to just stay up. | :19:21. | :19:24.
Here are the fixtures. Ipswich at Bristol City tomorrow. Posh host | :19:24. | :19:26.
Crystal Palace. Into League One, having just missed | :19:26. | :19:29.
out on promotion last season, MK Dons kick off at home to Hartlepool. | :19:29. | :19:31.
Colchester head to Preston, and after back-to-back promotions, | :19:31. | :19:36.
Stevenage tackle Exeter. On to League Two, after flirting | :19:36. | :19:39.
with relegation last year Gary Johnson will hope for much better | :19:39. | :19:49.

We tried to take as much as we can in each performance, we are very | :19:49. | :19:54.
together people. On to lead to, after flirting with | :19:54. | :19:57.
relegation last year Gary Johnson will hope for much better in his | :19:57. | :20:00.
first season at Northampton. They host Accrington tomorrow. Southend | :20:00. | :20:05.
play Hereford. So, what are the Blues aiming for? | :20:05. | :20:10.
Promotion. Confident? Of course I am confident. Any manager at the | :20:10. | :20:16.
start of the season, you have ideas of where your team will finish. I | :20:16. | :20:19.
think there is a lot of confidence from last season. | :20:19. | :20:22.
And, as always, you won't miss a kick on the BBC. Coverage tomorrow | :20:22. | :20:25.

On to cricket, and there has been a sell-out crowd in Northampton today, | :20:33. | :20:36.
where Northants are playing India in a warm-up game before next | :20:36. | :20:44.
week's third Test Match. James Burridge is there. | :20:44. | :20:49.
Welcome to the County Ground. Today's first day finished under | :20:49. | :20:54.
five minutes ago, the Indians still being put through their training | :20:54. | :20:59.
regime because they are suffering in this Test, 2-0 down. They have | :20:59. | :21:03.
to find some form with the bat and ball. Today was a bit of a mixed | :21:03. | :21:06.
bag. The Indian cricket in juggernaut | :21:06. | :21:10.
rolled into town short of form, then number-one Test status under | :21:10. | :21:15.
threat, but still the crowds came to watch the stars return from | :21:15. | :21:25.
:21:25. | :21:26. | ||
injury. This batsman lasted just 25 balls. He was gutted but realised | :21:26. | :21:33.
it was a good ball. I think he walked away knowing it was a good | :21:33. | :21:38.
ball, bears are the only things that will get him dismissed. | :21:38. | :21:43.
years ago Australia were here, now India are in town. And if you do | :21:43. | :21:50.
not have a Test match ticket, this view is the best you will sit. | :21:50. | :21:53.
be in a small county ground like this, it is great, and to see | :21:53. | :21:57.
world-class players turn up as billion. What has summer been like | :21:57. | :22:03.
watching India play? Fantastic, cannot describe it more than that. | :22:03. | :22:09.
But you are 2-0 down in the series. We will play outside the crease. | :22:09. | :22:14.
You think they can reverse the same is? Exactly. With crowds like this, | :22:14. | :22:20.
counter's coffers are reaping the rewards. 150,000 is said to be | :22:20. | :22:26.
generated over the next few days. - - the county's coffers. People want | :22:26. | :22:30.
to come and spend their money and enjoy themselves. It is full of | :22:30. | :22:34.
atmosphere, full of people enjoying themselves, and if we can make some | :22:34. | :22:38.
money to invest back into cricket, we are all winner. India's batsmen | :22:38. | :22:48.
:22:48. | :22:49. | ||
had a mixed day. Plenty for the sell-out crowd to enjoy tomorrow. | :22:49. | :22:54.
327 they manage today, so plentiful the grounds to look forward to. A | :22:54. | :22:57.
sell-out crowd expected tomorrow, which has not happened here for an | :22:57. | :23:00.
awfully long time. Thank you. | :23:00. | :23:03.
And from cricket to motorsport. The British Touring Car Championships | :23:03. | :23:06.
are in Norfolk this weekend. But today there was a different | :23:06. | :23:08.
vehicle attracting all the attention at Snetterton. An ice | :23:08. | :23:18.
cream van which can go at more than 180 miles an hour. | :23:18. | :23:23.
On a hot, sunny day, there is nothing like the cheery sound of an | :23:23. | :23:26.
ice-cream van to set the pulse racing. Sadly, this is nothing like | :23:26. | :23:32.
a real ice-cream van. Can I have a chocolate mousse, please? We don't | :23:32. | :23:38.
sell ice-creams. Created to promote the organic farm business of former | :23:38. | :23:42.
F1 world champion Jody Scheckter, this ice-cream van has the engine | :23:42. | :23:49.
from a Jaguar X J 220. It feels like a transit van with a T20 | :23:49. | :23:55.
engine! It is very heavy, but very fast. It is a big weekend for | :23:55. | :23:58.
Snetterton with the British Touring Car Championship, and it was this | :23:58. | :24:07.
Ford Focus that the ice-cream van had challenged to a race. And, yes, | :24:07. | :24:10.
the ice-cream van was fast on the straights and rubbish around the | :24:10. | :24:20.
:24:20. | :24:23. | ||
But, somehow, perhaps thanks to the magic of television, the ice-cream | :24:23. | :24:30.
van drove to a narrow but heroic victory. When I went into 10 two, I | :24:30. | :24:35.
thought, it is going over! I tried to go past him and taking on a | :24:35. | :24:42.
little bit. It was an experience. And you can see the ice-cream van | :24:42. | :24:47.
in action again at Snetterton on Sunday, after its driver has | :24:47. | :24:53.
plucked up the courage to have another go. Well done for winning | :24:53. | :25:03.
:25:03. | :25:06. | ||
You are struggling, aren't you? Bad luck. | :25:06. | :25:15.
Two ice-creams! Mike Liggins is a We have had a bit of a technical | :25:15. | :25:21.
glitch, so we will have to use the weather graphics from lunchtime. | :25:21. | :25:25.
After the reign of yesterday, a final day today but we have low- | :25:25. | :25:31.
pressure close by so a shower risk for the next three days. Looking at | :25:31. | :25:34.
tonight's chart, ending the day on a fine note with some sunny | :25:34. | :25:40.
intervals, a bit of patchy cloud a round at times. During the course | :25:40. | :25:47.
of the night, we could have the odd spot or two of light rain in the | :25:47. | :25:52.
north. Overnight, temperatures not getting too low, probably dipping | :25:52. | :25:59.
to about 13 degrees. We have still got the gremlins in, bear with me. | :25:59. | :26:04.
The winds are light, coming from south to the south-east in | :26:04. | :26:09.
direction. Tomorrow, generally a bit more cloud around, so the story | :26:09. | :26:14.
has updated a little bit from lunchtime's graphics. It looks like | :26:14. | :26:18.
a bit more of the shallow risk tomorrow, so a bright start and | :26:18. | :26:23.
then the cloud does bubble up. The main shower activity looks like it | :26:23. | :26:26.
is around North Norfolk and the west of the region, may be some | :26:26. | :26:33.
further south, but temperatures not doing too badly. We are probably | :26:33. | :26:40.
looking at a top temperature of 22, different from lunchtime. In the | :26:40. | :26:43.
afternoon, mainly dry with sunny spells but cloudy at times. Here is | :26:43. | :26:51.
the pressure chart. We have this weather front crossing us, which | :26:51. | :26:57.
will bring the potential for heavy showers. For the next five days, a | :26:57. | :27:00.
shower rest tomorrow for North Norfolk and the west of the region, | :27:00. | :27:09.
the rest staying mainly dry. In two Sunday, a greater shower risk, but | :27:09. | :27:13.
those showers could turn heavy through the afternoon. Into Monday, | :27:13. | :27:17.
the further risk of showers, but high pressure starts to build, so | :27:17. | :27:21.
by the beginning and middle of next week it looks like a fine, dry | :27:21. | :27:26.
story with some high temperatures of up to 22 degrees. But with the | :27:26. | :27:31. |
