Hello and welcome to a new week on Look East with Susie and me. Coming | :00:07. | :00:11.
up in the next 30 minutes: After this girl dies in a nightclub crush, | :00:12. | :00:19.
just how safe are the region's nightspots? Customers are the | :00:19. | :00:22.
number one priority. We have to make sure they are OK and they have | :00:22. | :00:26.
a good night. At the end of the day, we're here to provide a service and | :00:26. | :00:30.
we will look after customers. We go undercover to find out the | :00:30. | :00:34.
truth about a new scheme to avoid care home fees. | :00:34. | :00:40.
Why is it that you are selling a product called How To avoid care | :00:40. | :00:44.
home fees when, by marketing it as that, you could be rendering it | :00:44. | :00:47.
useless? The courts throw out the case of | :00:47. | :00:50.
the offensive golly in the window. And if you know an unsung sporting | :00:50. | :01:00.
:01:00. | :01:05. | ||
hero, now's the time to tell us Hello. A week after a young woman | :01:06. | :01:09.
died in a crush at a nightclub, the Industry insisted today that the | :01:09. | :01:14.
safety of club-goers was a top priority. | :01:14. | :01:16.
Nabila Nanfuka died, and two other people were seriously injured, | :01:16. | :01:21.
during a stampede at the Lava Ignite club in Northampton. One of | :01:21. | :01:24.
the injured is still in a critical condition. The police are still | :01:24. | :01:27.
appealing for witnesses to get in touch, but tonight, as thousands of | :01:27. | :01:31.
young people get ready for a night on the town, many will be worried | :01:31. | :01:41.
:01:41. | :01:45. | ||
about safety. Let's go to Northampton now, and Jo Black. | :01:45. | :01:48.
Normally this nightclub would be putting the lights on in the next | :01:48. | :01:52.
few hours, getting ready to post a student evening. As you can see, | :01:52. | :01:55.
the doors are firmly closed and are likely to stay that way for the | :01:55. | :02:00.
next month or so until councillors come to a decision on its future. I | :02:00. | :02:05.
spent Saturday night talking to people who are usually here about | :02:05. | :02:09.
their concerns. They say they cannot believe this has happened on | :02:09. | :02:15.
their own doorstep. Saturday night in Northampton and Bridge Street is | :02:15. | :02:22.
buzzing. Just days before, at the town's biggest nightclub, Nabila | :02:22. | :02:26.
Nanfuka died after a crush in the early hours of the morning. | :02:26. | :02:36.
:02:36. | :02:36. | ||
Alison's has been suspended -- the licence. That could have been me or | :02:36. | :02:44.
my friends. What a way to go. have been to clubs in Manchester | :02:44. | :02:47.
and London and I have never heard of anything like that happening. I | :02:47. | :02:52.
am shocked. It is really bad. quite shocking. Her life is already | :02:52. | :02:57.
over because she went on a night out. It is scary. | :02:57. | :03:02.
Investigations into why a club goers rushed towards the doors are | :03:02. | :03:05.
still ongoing. Pictures from inside the venue are now beginning to | :03:05. | :03:11.
surface. Even though the pub -- the club is closed, posters advertising | :03:11. | :03:16.
the event at which Nabila Nanfuka died are still visible. This is | :03:16. | :03:22.
interesting down here. "working with Northamptonshire Police to | :03:22. | :03:26.
bring you a safe event." Northamptonshire Police have told | :03:26. | :03:30.
us that the first they knew about this night was when the disaster | :03:30. | :03:40.
happened. For other bar managers in the town the shock of what happened | :03:40. | :03:44.
this weekend means they are taking no chances. They have drafted in | :03:44. | :03:49.
extra staff. The message: Safety is paramount. Customers are the number | :03:49. | :03:53.
one priority. They give us a job and we have to look after them. We | :03:53. | :03:57.
want to make sure they have a good night because, at the end of the | :03:57. | :04:02.
day, it is their night. Tonight, two other women who were | :04:02. | :04:08.
also at the club remain in hospital. Questions and the desires to have | :04:08. | :04:17.
wide this tragedy happened keep on coming. -- questions and theories. | :04:17. | :04:22.
We have asked the owners of the club for an interview several times | :04:23. | :04:32.
:04:33. | :04:34. | ||
but they have declined. The police have told us they are | :04:34. | :04:36.
disappointed with the number of people who have come forward with | :04:36. | :04:41.
information. The police want people to get in touch. Did you take | :04:41. | :04:46.
photographs? Have you got any footage? Please contact the police | :04:47. | :04:56.
:04:57. | :04:57. | ||
if you have anything. At least 10 Conservative MPs in | :04:57. | :05:00.
this region are expected to defy party bosses and vote in favour of | :05:00. | :05:03.
a referendum on Europe. Alex Dunlop has been watching this evening's | :05:03. | :05:06.
debate in Parliament. This is the scene live in the House | :05:06. | :05:10.
of Commons. We are now two hours into the debate as MPs prepare to | :05:10. | :05:12.
vote over a referendum on Britain's membership of the European Union. | :05:12. | :05:16.
Of the 61 Conservatives who want one, around 10, as you say, are | :05:16. | :05:19.
from the BBC Look East region, among them, Essex MP Priti Patel, | :05:19. | :05:22.
who got in at the last election, and seasoned members like Bernard | :05:22. | :05:32.
:05:32. | :05:33. | ||
Jenkin, who heads an influential Commons select committee. With | :05:33. | :05:38.
little say in the building behind them, the UKIP activists voiced | :05:38. | :05:45.
their protest outside. Reservations inside of the EU are perhaps more | :05:45. | :05:48.
able to be broadcast than this one. Those arriving for the debate say | :05:48. | :05:54.
that, despite party loyalty, what appears in their in-tray from | :05:54. | :05:59.
constituents comes first. They do not like the fact that we are | :05:59. | :06:03.
cutting public services but sending 25 million a day to Europe. | :06:03. | :06:06.
Clearly, this has fired up the people of Wellingborough. I do not | :06:06. | :06:11.
think I have had an issue where so many people have contacted me. | :06:11. | :06:18.
Our relationship with Europe has a direct relevance to this region, | :06:18. | :06:22.
but those who want out of Europe say that the millions we contribute | :06:22. | :06:24.
to the EU could be better spent getting local businesses back on | :06:24. | :06:31.
their feet. These are the local MPs who are demanding a referendum on | :06:32. | :06:36.
whether we stay, leave or renegotiate membership of the EU in | :06:36. | :06:40.
the next session of Parliament. have to remember that there will be | :06:41. | :06:44.
constituency boundary revisions proposed. These MPs are obviously | :06:45. | :06:50.
having to touch base with their activist support. They are probably | :06:51. | :06:54.
coming under a bit of pressure from there was up and they are more | :06:54. | :06:59.
Eurosceptic? Certainly, yes. Those who defied the party whip | :06:59. | :07:03.
tonight know that their card will be marked. They will also know that | :07:03. | :07:06.
they will have made their mark on an issue that has dogged the | :07:06. | :07:10.
Conservatives for decades. One of the men who will defy the | :07:10. | :07:13.
Government tonight is the MP for Clacton, Douglas Carswell. When I | :07:13. | :07:16.
spoke to him earlier this afternoon I asked him if the Tory party had | :07:16. | :07:19.
forgotten the lessons of the 1990s when John Major's government was | :07:19. | :07:25.
torn apart by arguments over Europe. Europe has done a pretty good job | :07:25. | :07:29.
of dividing the Conservative Party for 40 years without a referendum. | :07:29. | :07:33.
But maybe it is time to consider that a referendum is the best way | :07:33. | :07:38.
of healing the divisions within the Conservative Party. I think that | :07:38. | :07:41.
having a referendum, and we saw it with the alternative vote | :07:41. | :07:47.
referendum, it allows politicians to understand that they should let | :07:47. | :07:51.
the people settle the matter. know that you're not going to win, | :07:51. | :07:57.
don't you? Lots of people and the Labour Party will vote with the | :07:57. | :08:02.
Government. Of course, the Government will get its way. It has | :08:02. | :08:06.
used heavy-handed tactics to ensure that. This is the about the | :08:06. | :08:13.
beginning of a campaign. I think the referendum is unstoppable. | :08:14. | :08:20.
you not just a bunch of disaffected right-wing Tories who do not like | :08:20. | :08:24.
what the Government is doing? that around. It is the people who | :08:24. | :08:32.
are demanding is bought. -- demanding this vote. A large chunk | :08:32. | :08:36.
of people in this country have triggered this process. If you say | :08:36. | :08:40.
they are banging on about Europe, in that case, the British people | :08:40. | :08:44.
are banging on about Europe. you get a phone call from the Prime | :08:44. | :08:48.
Minister this week in? I did not. I get lots of phone calls and e-mails | :08:48. | :08:53.
from lots of people. If they live in my constituency I take their | :08:53. | :08:57.
views very seriously. If the Prime Minister had asked you to vote with | :08:57. | :09:01.
the Government, would you have changed your mind? I would be | :09:01. | :09:05.
polite and say that, with respect, I feel strongly and I think it is | :09:05. | :09:10.
time that the Government started to pursue the correct policy. | :09:10. | :09:14.
Ultimately, I believe that Parliament is there to control | :09:14. | :09:19.
government, not government there to control parliament. It is MPs | :09:19. | :09:22.
elected by the people who make sure that ministers get it right, not | :09:22. | :09:26.
the other way round. Thank you very much. | :09:26. | :09:29.
Still to come tonight: A round-up of the action from the sport this | :09:29. | :09:31.
weekend. In tonight's special report, we investigate the scheme | :09:31. | :09:34.
which promises no fees for care homes. And, after the autumnal | :09:34. | :09:37.
sunshine, get ready for some wetter weather tonight. The full forecast | :09:37. | :09:47.

A woman from Suffolk who was accused of racial harassment by a | :09:47. | :09:50.
neighbour after a golliwog was put in a window will have no further | :09:51. | :09:54.
action taken against her. Magistrates in Lowestoft threw out | :09:54. | :10:04.
:10:04. | :10:05. | ||
the case after the prosecution said there was not enough evidence. Jem | :10:05. | :10:09.
Mason's home in a Suffolk village. She fell out with a black neighbour | :10:09. | :10:13.
over a planning dispute and then over what was put in a window. The | :10:13. | :10:17.
golliwog, put there in August, brought a complaint to the police | :10:17. | :10:21.
from a neighbour. Mrs Mason was arrested and later charged with | :10:21. | :10:26.
racial harassment. She arrived at court in September, reluctant to | :10:26. | :10:29.
appear on camera. Released on unconditional bail the trial was | :10:29. | :10:39.
set to go ahead in January. Today, the case collapsed. It was Chris | :10:39. | :10:41.
McCann of the Crown Prosecution Service to addressed the court this | :10:41. | :10:46.
morning. He said it had to be proved it was Mrs Mason who placed | :10:46. | :10:49.
the ball up in a position likely to cause her neighbours racially | :10:49. | :10:54.
aggravated harassment, alarm or distress. In fact, he said, four | :10:54. | :10:58.
adults had access to the window and it could not be established to put | :10:58. | :11:02.
the ball there. The evidence was insufficient and there was no | :11:02. | :11:06.
realistic prospect of conviction. She has always denied that she | :11:06. | :11:13.
intended to racially harassed or insult her neighbours. She feels | :11:13. | :11:17.
her life has been turned upside down for the last two for three | :11:17. | :11:20.
months as a result of the case and she would like to try and get back | :11:20. | :11:25.
to some degree of normality in her family life. She would also like to | :11:25. | :11:29.
try, if possible, to rebuild her relationship with our neighbours. | :11:29. | :11:32.
At the end of the day, they still live next to each other. According | :11:33. | :11:36.
to the CPS, the case of the golliwog in the window has cost the | :11:37. | :11:43.
family a great deal of upset. It had met with them to explain its | :11:43. | :11:48.
reasons for not pursuing prosecution. Today, the window | :11:48. | :11:53.
showed nothing more controversial than a display of flowers. | :11:53. | :11:56.
A woman has been killed in a bungalow fire at Benfleet in Essex. | :11:56. | :11:59.
Crews were called to the home in Rayleigh Road just after 9:30pm | :11:59. | :12:01.
yesterday. The bedroom was seriously damaged by the fire. An | :12:01. | :12:04.
investigation is now under way. Detectives investigating a fatal | :12:04. | :12:10.
stabbing in Ipswich have charged a 21-year-old man with murder. The | :12:10. | :12:13.
victim, named by police as Lee Jackson, was found dead in flats at | :12:13. | :12:15.
Chesterton Close on the Chantry Estate on Saturday. Sebastian | :12:15. | :12:17.
Kornjaca, an electrical engineer from Ipswich, will appear before | :12:17. | :12:23.
magistrates tomorrow. The Duchess of Cornwall has been in | :12:23. | :12:27.
Essex today to see how children are helped to overcome a morbid fear of | :12:27. | :12:30.
dogs. The condition is called cynophobia, and the Essex Dog | :12:30. | :12:40.
:12:40. | :12:40. | ||
Training Centre is one of the few places that provides treatment. | :12:40. | :12:44.
Moments after arriving, wearing a purple and green jacket and pleated | :12:44. | :12:51.
skirt, it was clear the duchess was in her element. This was the first | :12:51. | :12:56.
dog on which her Royal Highness lavished attention. This 24-year- | :12:56. | :13:01.
old dog performed at the Royal Tournament in 1997. I have to train | :13:01. | :13:06.
her with hand signals because she is slightly blind and slightly deaf. | :13:06. | :13:11.
The quality of life is fantastic. Inside the Essex Dog Training | :13:11. | :13:15.
Centre in Brentwood, the Duchess met children or overcoming a morbid | :13:15. | :13:22.
fear of dogs. It can make children afraid to go out. Weekly sessions | :13:22. | :13:26.
with a gentle dogs at the centre turns many sufferers into dog- | :13:26. | :13:32.
lovers. I was in my pram when I was about three and his big dog came up | :13:32. | :13:37.
to me and was all over my face. I did not like it. I remember being | :13:37. | :13:41.
in the woods with Emily and she panicked when she saw a dog. What | :13:41. | :13:45.
was it like to have the Duchess of Cornwall here today? It is good for | :13:45. | :13:49.
the centre. It needs promotion. It is also good for the classes | :13:49. | :13:52.
because it is something that is not very commonly known about in the UK | :13:52. | :13:55.
and there must be many children who are suffering the same thing as | :13:55. | :14:01.
Emily. Then a chance to see a training class. Not all dogs, | :14:01. | :14:06.
though, observe royal protocol. The Duchess may have been looking for | :14:06. | :14:13.
some tips. Earlier this year, she adopted a Jack Russell. She said | :14:13. | :14:17.
she only wished she lived closer to the training centre and she would | :14:17. | :14:21.
attend it with a dog. That would be great. Then the Duchess saw what | :14:21. | :14:26.
dogs can do given proper training. A mixture of fortunes for our local | :14:27. | :14:30.
football teams over the weekend. And a big away game in front of the | :14:30. | :14:34.
TV cameras for Norwich City. Here is Phil. | :14:34. | :14:37.
That's right. After pushing Manchester United all the way at | :14:37. | :14:39.
Old Trafford and worrying Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Norwich City's | :14:39. | :14:42.
task this weekend was at Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool. But Canary | :14:42. | :14:45.
fans certainly were not making the 500-mile round trip to make up the | :14:45. | :14:53.
numbers. There was a time when a trip to | :14:53. | :14:56.
Anfield would strike fear into the hearts of Norwich City fans, but | :14:56. | :15:03.
times have changed. The dark days are over. Three wins out of the | :15:03. | :15:07.
last four and Norwich fans are buzzing. If we keep playing like we | :15:07. | :15:14.
have been we might get a draw out of it. Every chance of getting a | :15:14. | :15:19.
point here, I think. 5 points of the Champions League - cannot | :15:19. | :15:29.
:15:29. | :15:35. | ||
complain. There was that Wanderers volley | :15:35. | :15:39.
into the top corner past David James. Norwich have not had a clean | :15:39. | :15:45.
sheet this season so what a great place for them to start off. Good | :15:45. | :15:52.
luck to them. It was another former Canary that caused problems - Craig | :15:53. | :16:02.
Canary that caused problems - Craig Canary that caused problems - Craig | :16:02. | :16:12.
:16:12. | :16:15. | ||
Bellamy setting up - Soares. Liverpool could have won it through | :16:15. | :16:22.
Andy Carroll. 1-1 it finished. One point for Norwich on the road - | :16:22. | :16:32.
more than many Norwich fans could have hoped. You cannot ask for more. | :16:32. | :16:35.
They have come here and done the business. What more do you want? | :16:35. | :16:39.
While the journey back in a Ford might have been long, it was | :16:39. | :16:43.
certainly enjoyable for fans in yellow and green. Next up, | :16:43. | :16:48.
Blackburn at Carrow Road next weekend. | :16:48. | :16:51.
So this is what the Premier League table looks like after the | :16:51. | :16:55.
weekend's action. Norwich safely in the top half after that point at | :16:55. | :16:57.
Liverpool, but more importantly, six points clear of the relegation | :16:57. | :17:01.
zone. Plenty of goals and cards for the other clubs in our region. Kate | :17:01. | :17:09.
Riley begins our round-up in the Championship. | :17:09. | :17:14.
Ipswich Town hosted Crystal Palace at Portman Road. They have had four | :17:14. | :17:16.
at Portman Road. They have had four successive home wins in the Premier | :17:16. | :17:24.
League. The finish here matched the quality of the cross. The | :17:24. | :17:28.
goalkeepers were kept busy, each keeping their side in the game. | :17:28. | :17:38.
:17:38. | :17:38. | ||
That was, until the 55th minute. It was enough for 1-0 win. There were | :17:38. | :17:48.
:17:48. | :17:49. | ||
more goals at Peterborough, who entertain Leeds. Mark Little got an | :17:49. | :17:53.
equaliser in the dying minutes. Five minutes into injury time, | :17:53. | :17:58.
Leeds stole the win. Colchester held Sheffield Wednesday foreign | :17:58. | :18:02.
hour Until the hosts broke the deadlock. The second for Wednesday | :18:02. | :18:12.
:18:12. | :18:13. | ||
sealed the game and the points. Dickinson and Phillips found the | :18:13. | :18:17.
net for the Mack Blues as they rounded off a 4-1 win to stay | :18:17. | :18:23.
And you can see every goal from the weekend's action on the BBC sport | :18:23. | :18:26.
website. Go to bbc.co.uk/sport to see them. You will also find the | :18:26. | :18:30.
latest news and fixtures for your favourite club. Colchester and | :18:30. | :18:32.
Southend returned to league action tomorrow night. Colchester host | :18:32. | :18:39.
Bournemouth, while Southend make the journey to Barnet. As well as | :18:39. | :18:42.
live commentary on your local BBC radio station, you will find | :18:42. | :18:50.
regular updates here on our website. You're watching Look East from the | :18:50. | :18:59.
BBC. Coming up: Elena serves up a treat for the girls. | :19:00. | :19:03.
Next tonight, the cost of care and an offer which seems too good to be | :19:03. | :19:07.
true. Here it is. It can cost you 1,000 a week to be looked after in | :19:07. | :19:10.
old age, but a businessman from Norfolk claims he has a way of | :19:11. | :19:14.
avoiding it. People planning for their old age are told that they | :19:14. | :19:17.
can escape paying the fees, even if they have savings. The man behind | :19:17. | :19:20.
the scheme is the subject of an investigation by the Inside Out | :19:20. | :19:27.
programme tonight. She wants to make sure that be | :19:27. | :19:31.
the's inherent in... The man behind the Universal Group | :19:31. | :19:36.
is Stephen Lumb. In his seminars he makes many claims that he and his | :19:36. | :19:40.
company are very well connected and important. How accurate are his | :19:40. | :19:45.
claims about his products? Are under cover producer asks Steve | :19:45. | :19:49.
Long if an elderly person who is not well could use one of the | :19:49. | :19:53.
trusts to avoid fees. Provided he has not already been assessed and | :19:53. | :19:58.
is not receiving care, it is straight forward. The local | :19:58. | :20:01.
authority will look at the reasons that the trust was created and, if | :20:01. | :20:06.
they feel it was done for the purpose of putting the asset beyond | :20:06. | :20:12.
their reach, then, of course, they could take it into account in an | :20:12. | :20:15.
assessment and treat the person is that they still owned the asset. | :20:15. | :20:22.
We wrote to Mr Long to ask why he gives misleading statements. His | :20:22. | :20:26.
office told us he was out of the country until the end of this week. | :20:27. | :20:30.
Then the Office claimed that some of his mistakes were due to any | :20:30. | :20:34.
infection. Well I hope his hearing is better because he is still in | :20:34. | :20:37.
the country and he is giving a seminar at this hotel in Gloucester. | :20:37. | :20:41.
His office said that Universal Asset Protection is totally | :20:41. | :20:44.
committed to excellent customer care and that their fees are not | :20:44. | :20:51.
excessive. Mr Long has not given specific answers to most of our | :20:51. | :20:56.
questions. By have to ask your question, Mr Long. Why is it you | :20:56. | :20:59.
are selling a product called How to avoid care fees when, by marketing | :20:59. | :21:05.
it as that, you are, in fact, possibly rendering it useless? | :21:05. | :21:09.
is not the advice that we have received. It is nice of you to come | :21:09. | :21:13.
unannounced into a seminar. We have been in touch with you, Mr Long, | :21:13. | :21:16.
and we have asked a number of questions about the validity of | :21:16. | :21:20.
these trusts. Actually, by advertising your cells as how to | :21:20. | :21:23.
avoid care fees, you are kind of shooting yourself in that the | :21:24. | :21:28.
debate, aren't you? It is not the advice we have received the stop | :21:28. | :21:33.
who had you received advice from? This is from the Government. Who is | :21:33. | :21:37.
wrong, you're the government? have put me on the spot you. | :21:37. | :21:41.
have because you Office told us you were out of the country and that is | :21:41. | :21:46.
not the case, is it? You have here. I am not prepared to discuss on | :21:46. | :21:49.
television the intellectual property that we have. All I can | :21:49. | :21:54.
say is that the prop -- the product that we use has a 100% track record. | :21:54. | :21:57.
We have documentary evidence of local authorities accepting that it | :21:57. | :22:01.
works. You market yourself as one of only five companies that | :22:01. | :22:05.
specialises in this type of elderly care trust. That is not true either, | :22:05. | :22:10.
is it? We say that we are one of five specialist providers that | :22:10. | :22:14.
provide these for other people. Any firm of solicitors who knows and | :22:14. | :22:17.
understands the rules are run this would be able to do that. Strange | :22:17. | :22:25.
that he said the opposite when he did not know he was being recorded. | :22:25. | :22:29.
It is a specialist niche. There are probably $5 in the country that can | :22:29. | :22:33.
do it. Which Mr Long should we believe and what can you do about | :22:33. | :22:38.
this? If you're thinking about a trust to avoid fees, remember that | :22:38. | :22:42.
they are not suitable for everyone and they may not work. | :22:42. | :22:45.
And you can see David Whiteley's full report later on Inside Out. | :22:45. | :22:51.
That is here on BBC 1 at half past seven. | :22:51. | :22:55.
Do you know somebody who is a real unsung hero when it comes to sport | :22:55. | :22:59.
- the people who do all the hard work but are very modest about it? | :22:59. | :23:03.
If you do, now would be a good time to do something about it. We are | :23:03. | :23:06.
looking for nominations for the BBC Sports Unsung Hero Award. Over the | :23:06. | :23:08.
last two years, our region has provided the national winner. Elena | :23:08. | :23:11.
Baltacha - Britain's number one tennis player from Ipswich - would | :23:11. | :23:21.
like to make it three in a row. Elena Baltacha is at the top of her | :23:21. | :23:27.
game - British No. 1, London 22 of next year, and her own tennis | :23:27. | :23:31.
academy in Ipswich. Who has got the right leg in front of Stead -- | :23:31. | :23:34.
instead of the left? The academy is for girls who would not normally | :23:34. | :23:38.
get the chance to play tennis. It is her way of giving something back. | :23:38. | :23:42.
How many do you think you can do? She knows the value of that because, | :23:42. | :23:49.
if it were not for our own coach -- for her own coach, she would not be | :23:49. | :23:57.
where she is. He has given me a lot of support and belief. I think that | :23:57. | :24:03.
everything that I have achieved is down to him. I hour him so much. | :24:03. | :24:13.
:24:13. | :24:22. | ||
The winner is lines had if. Can we find another local winner? | :24:22. | :24:28.
He is so passionate and he has that drive and wants to give everything. | :24:28. | :24:32.
It would be great to get one of them to at least Wimbledon. In | :24:32. | :24:36.
return, he does not ask for anything. He does not get paid. He | :24:36. | :24:39.
does it purely because he is so passionate and he loves it. When | :24:39. | :24:43.
you talk about unsung heroes, that is the type of people that do | :24:43. | :24:48.
things like that. The window closes at the end of the month but do it | :24:48. | :24:52.
today so that doors can open for the unsung hero when your sporting | :24:52. | :24:59.
life. -- in your sporting life. To nominate you're unsung hero, | :24:59. | :25:00.
just go to bbc.co.uk/sportsunsunghero and all | :25:00. | :25:10.
:25:10. | :25:13. | ||
It has been quite find today but there is some wet weather on the | :25:13. | :25:18.
way. This weather front has been steadily moving across the country, | :25:18. | :25:22.
and it has brought some heavy rain for the south-west. You can see it | :25:22. | :25:26.
on the radar charred from earlier. It will reach us eventually but it | :25:26. | :25:30.
is not expected to be quite as intense once it does. The bulk of | :25:31. | :25:35.
the rain will arrive overnight. Forced the rest -- for the rest of | :25:35. | :25:39.
the region it is later on this evening. Around 9pm we will see the | :25:39. | :25:44.
first rain moving through. It should start to dry out in the West | :25:44. | :25:54.
:25:54. | :25:54. | ||
over night, leaving cloud around. It will stay pretty mild. The wind | :25:54. | :26:04.
:26:04. | :26:06. | ||
is coming from the south-east. We have some strong wind speeds around | :26:06. | :26:15.
the Norfolk and Suffolk coast. It will not be quite such a windy day | :26:15. | :26:20.
tomorrow. There will be some early rain to clear first thing. There | :26:20. | :26:24.
will be some sunny spells developing. It is parts of eastern | :26:24. | :26:34.
Suffolk and the north-east of fog that will see some early rainfall. | :26:34. | :26:44.
:26:44. | :26:51. | ||
-- and north-eastern or fork. -- There will be further spells of | :26:51. | :26:56.
sunshine through the afternoon. We are expecting some for the showers | :26:56. | :27:00.
in the earring. They could merge together to form longer spells of | :27:00. | :27:10.
:27:10. | :27:15. | ||
rain. The overnight rain tonight could produce perhaps 10 mm. It | :27:15. | :27:22.
looks mostly dry for Wednesday. The wind is lighter as a weak ridge of | :27:22. | :27:24. |
