In the programme tonight, hundreds of people will lose their jobs at | :00:22. | :00:32.

the Coryton Oil Refinery. Hello and welcome to Look East. In | :00:55. | :00:57.
the programme tonight: Hundreds of redundancies confirmed | :00:57. | :01:00.
for oil refinery workers in Essex. Up to 500 will lose their jobs. | :01:00. | :01:04.
35 years in jail for the killer of two men shot on a travellers' site. | :01:04. | :01:05.
A judge said it was cold-blooded execution. | :01:05. | :01:08.
The multi-million pound road scheme that has missed its deadline ahead | :01:08. | :01:10.
of the Olympics. A killer who carried out execution- | :01:10. | :01:13.
style shotgun murders at a traveller site in Suffolk has been | :01:13. | :01:19.
jailed for a minimum of 35 years. The jury heard how Christopher Line | :01:19. | :01:22.
repeatedly reloaded his shotgun to shoot two men who planned an arson | :01:22. | :01:25.
attack at the Willow Park Caravan site at Beck Row near Mildenhall. | :01:25. | :01:35.
:01:35. | :01:38. | ||
This report from our Home Affairs Correspondent. | :01:38. | :01:42.
The face of a killer. Christopher Line in a police picture released | :01:42. | :01:47.
tonight. He'd re-loaded his shotgun a number of times to kill two men | :01:47. | :01:50.
from Essex, Shane Hill and David Castell. They'd turned up at the | :01:50. | :01:52.
caravan site to carry out an arson attack. Christopher Line had | :01:52. | :01:55.
expected a visit as police had repeatedly warned him that his life | :01:55. | :01:58.
was in danger, along with that of a traveller friend. They rejected | :01:58. | :02:02.
police help. Instead Line chose to execute the men, one of them while | :02:02. | :02:05.
he was running away. Both were shot in the head. Sentencing Christopher | :02:05. | :02:07.
Line to life imprisonment, the judge told them they were brutal | :02:07. | :02:11.
and murder list -- merciless killings. He had little regard for | :02:11. | :02:16.
the lives of others. Christopher Line showed no emotion as the judge | :02:16. | :02:26.
:02:26. | :02:27. | ||
sent him down. To this day police don't know what lies behind the | :02:27. | :02:30.
dispute that led to the killings linking men from Essex to the | :02:30. | :02:32.
traveller site in Suffolk. The families of the victims are still | :02:32. | :02:35.
seeking answers. We have a lot of questions to be answered. The whole | :02:35. | :02:40.
situation regarding the whole act. We have to justice for the person | :02:40. | :02:45.
who killed these men, but the other people have to be brought to | :02:45. | :02:54.
justice. It is one thing to protect as site, but it is another to | :02:54. | :03:02.
brutally murder to people like that. Line's response to every police | :03:02. | :03:05.
question at interview was "no comment". But police were clear | :03:05. | :03:11.
about his cold determination. killing has been described as close | :03:11. | :03:16.
range and fatal. It shows no doubt about his intention on that night. | :03:16. | :03:26.
:03:26. | :03:29. | ||
When he went out with that firearm, he intended to kill both men for. | :03:29. | :03:32.
The families of the two murder victims returned to Southend | :03:32. | :03:37.
tonight. The traumatic case now behind them. But they say they | :03:37. | :03:39.
won't rest until the police have the full picture. | :03:39. | :03:43.
Their worst fears have come true. Up to 850 workers are set to lose | :03:43. | :03:46.
their jobs at the Coryton Oil Refinery in Essex after months of | :03:46. | :03:48.
uncertainty. Today, 180 workers were given the first redundancy | :03:48. | :03:51.
notices. Coryton produced 20% of petrol and diesel used in the south | :03:51. | :03:54.
east of England, but now it is being turned into a storage | :03:54. | :03:57.
terminal. In June 2007, the refinery was bought by Petroplus | :03:57. | :04:03.
from BP for nearly 900 million. In January this year, Petroplus filed | :04:03. | :04:06.
for bankruptcy and Coryton shut down sparking fears of fuel | :04:06. | :04:10.
shortages. In February, sales started again while options were | :04:10. | :04:19.
explored. The unions wanted government help to save the | :04:19. | :04:22.
refinery. But it was sold to new owners and now hundreds of jobs | :04:22. | :04:31.
will go. Our reporter is at the refinery near Basildon. | :04:31. | :04:38.
Umpire has come forward for Coryton, but it is not the buyer the workers | :04:38. | :04:47.
wanted. It is a consortium of energy companies, but the plan is | :04:47. | :04:55.
to close it down as a refinery and reopen it as a fuel storage depot. | :04:55. | :05:05.
:05:05. | :05:06. | ||
That will effectively wipe out the jobs of the people who work here. | :05:06. | :05:11.
A Jobs Fair for Coryton workers. No wonder it was busy. A few hours | :05:11. | :05:13.
earlier, any flickering hopes for the refinery's future had been | :05:13. | :05:18.
extinguished. I have been sending off applications like most people | :05:18. | :05:23.
for the last few weeks. I can see how people get despondent quite | :05:23. | :05:26.
quickly. I have had three interviews and the winter villas. | :05:26. | :05:33.
It will get tougher as more and more people leave. There are a lot | :05:33. | :05:38.
of jobs that are skilled. Many competent people will struggle. | :05:38. | :05:42.
Ahmed have to move away. I have applied for jobs on the oil rigs in | :05:42. | :05:52.
:05:52. | :05:54. | ||
the Middle East. Coryton's administrators confirmed last night | :05:54. | :05:57.
it's been bought by a consortium that plans to change it from a | :05:57. | :06:00.
refinery that turns crude oil into petrol, diesel and jet fuel into a | :06:00. | :06:03.
fuel storage depot. 850 jobs will be reduced to an estimated 50. | :06:03. | :06:06.
have been here for twenty-one years. It has been like working with | :06:07. | :06:14.
members of my family. It is heart- wrenching. To see virtually | :06:14. | :06:18.
everyone lose their job apart from a handful. Protests have been held | :06:19. | :06:21.
at fuel depots. Amid anger the Government didn't do more to keep | :06:22. | :06:29.
Coryton open. Scuffles broke out at this demo. Three arrests were made. | :06:29. | :06:31.
But despite Union threats fuel supplies would be disrupted it | :06:31. | :06:39.
seems the demos haven't saved Coryton. | :06:39. | :06:43.
There is real anger that a profitable oil refinery is | :06:43. | :06:47.
effectively being allowed to close. As one worker said to me, Coryton | :06:48. | :06:53.
is an oil refinery that is -- that is slowly going cold. You can | :06:53. | :06:57.
normally see the flares above the recovery -- above the refinery. | :06:58. | :07:02.
There are none tonight. What about the political fall-out? | :07:02. | :07:05.
Coryton will be debated in the House of Commons this evening, but | :07:05. | :07:08.
the Energy Minister has told Look East that the Government has done | :07:08. | :07:11.
all it can to keep the refinery open. Our Political Correspondent | :07:11. | :07:21.
:07:21. | :07:24. | ||
is at Westminster now. A political row has erupted today. | :07:24. | :07:27.
Labour say that if the Government had given financial support to them, | :07:27. | :07:30.
it would have been easier to find a buyer. The Government says that | :07:30. | :07:34.
would have been against European law and it is not a national | :07:34. | :07:39.
necessity to keep it open. What ever on his agreed about is that | :07:39. | :07:49.
:07:49. | :07:50. | ||
this is a very big blow for Essex. It's been a refinery for 60 years | :07:50. | :07:53.
processing 10 million tonnes of fuel every year. So did the the | :07:53. | :07:57.
Government do everything it could to keep Coryton open? We have | :07:57. | :08:03.
looked at all legal avenues. What about state aid? The basic rules | :08:03. | :08:09.
were not met. There was no shortage of supply as there is a massive | :08:09. | :08:17.
oversupply of petrol into the you came market. The Labour party and | :08:17. | :08:23.
the unions disagree. They point to Coryton's sister refinery here in | :08:23. | :08:25.
France that was saved after the Government there offered financial | :08:25. | :08:28.
assistance. The Government did not do their homework. That is the | :08:28. | :08:32.
dereliction of duty of which they are guilty. The consequences of | :08:32. | :08:36.
that will be felt mostly by the people lose their jobs but also for | :08:36. | :08:40.
the country as we will be reliant even more on the future on the | :08:40. | :08:47.
import of foreign fuels. A we already import 15% of our diesel | :08:47. | :08:51.
from abroad. With Coryton no longer a refinery that figure will rise to | :08:51. | :08:58.
25%. But the Government says we shouldn't be worried. We can bring | :08:58. | :09:02.
in the stock we need to maintain that. There are plenty of also ruck | :09:02. | :09:07.
-- plentiful supplies around the world. Coryton was primarily for | :09:07. | :09:12.
petrol. The demand is not there for petrol. The Government says it | :09:12. | :09:15.
wasn't just changing demands that brought about Coryton's closure. | :09:15. | :09:21.
Its owners were heavily in debt. Any buyer would have needed at | :09:21. | :09:25.
least 150 million before they could even reopen the refinery. | :09:25. | :09:29.
The big question now is can Coryton and the surrounding area ever | :09:29. | :09:34.
recover from this? The Government is saying the terminal is still | :09:34. | :09:37.
open and it will be an important terminal in an important part of | :09:37. | :09:41.
the country to draw in more business and create long-term jobs. | :09:41. | :09:47.
Labour says it will take a long time to make up 800 jobs. | :09:47. | :09:50.
Still to come on Look East: The apprentices learning their trade in | :09:50. | :09:52.
the curry business. And as the Olympic Torch Relay | :09:52. | :09:55.
heads towards the East, our reporter has the story of one of | :09:55. | :10:05.
the torchbearers. John Bowman's wife died in February | :10:05. | :10:10.
from cancer. He is carrying out the full -- carrying the Olympic flame | :10:10. | :10:20.
:10:20. | :10:21. | ||
$NEWLINE Essex County Council has apologised to local people and the | :10:21. | :10:23.
Olympic authorities after contractors failed to finish a key | :10:23. | :10:26.
road on time. The Sadler's Farm Junction is being improved in | :10:26. | :10:28.
advance of the Mountain Biking competition near Hadleigh. But, | :10:28. | :10:31.
beset by wet weather, the work between the A13 and A130 is taking | :10:31. | :10:41.
:10:41. | :10:44. | ||
months longer than planned. Essex's biggest traffic improvement | :10:44. | :10:48.
scheme in three decades. The 63 million project should have been | :10:48. | :10:54.
finished today. The question now is whether it will be ready for the | :10:54. | :10:58.
Olympic might -- mountain biking event three miles away? 40,000 | :10:58. | :11:05.
people expected here on 11th and 12 August. The organisers are feeling | :11:05. | :11:08.
twitchy. The local authority have assured us the road improvement | :11:08. | :11:14.
scheme will be finished before the competition begins at Hadleigh form. | :11:14. | :11:20.
Local businesses say the roadworks have cost them dear. It should have | :11:20. | :11:24.
been finished by the start of the year. It is now the end of the | :11:24. | :11:28.
season and it has affected our business. People will not go round | :11:28. | :11:33.
that roundabout while there are thousands of cars. It is a queue of | :11:33. | :11:39.
over one hour. It has been catastrophic. We have lost 90 p a | :11:39. | :11:44.
pack of our football. People phone as up to say they want to get | :11:44. | :11:54.
:11:54. | :11:56. | ||
something and then say they are giving up -- 90%. In a statement, | :11:56. | :11:59.
they said they're working with their partners to insure the works | :11:59. | :12:04.
are finished as soon as possible. In the meantime, traffic is flowing | :12:04. | :12:08.
freely and the don't expect any disruption to journey times through | :12:08. | :12:12.
this delay. Including the torch relay and travelling to and from | :12:12. | :12:17.
the Olympics site at Hadleigh farm. Improvements continue today. The | :12:17. | :12:20.
workers now have their own Olympic countdown which they cannot afford | :12:20. | :12:30.
:12:30. | :12:31. | ||
to mess. -- miss. A man found electrocuted on a | :12:31. | :12:34.
railway line in Essex this morning is thought to have died while | :12:34. | :12:37.
trying to steal cable. His body was discovered on an embankment near | :12:37. | :12:40.
Hadleigh on the Southend to London line. A 25,000 volt cable had been | :12:40. | :12:44.
cut. The line was closed for most of the morning. | :12:44. | :12:47.
A warning notice imposed on the James Paget Hospital in Norfolk has | :12:47. | :12:50.
been lifted. During a recent unannounced visit, the Care Quality | :12:50. | :12:52.
Commission found patients are now receiving safe and appropriate care. | :12:52. | :12:59.
But it says the way patient records are managed still needs improvement. | :12:59. | :13:02.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering Luke Durbin | :13:02. | :13:05.
the teenager who went missing while on a night out in Ipswich in 2006. | :13:05. | :13:08.
Since then, his mother Nicki has fought tirelessly to find out what | :13:08. | :13:18.
:13:18. | :13:19. | ||
happened to him. Six years of investigations today | :13:19. | :13:26.
lead detectives to this house in Spring Road in Ipswich. And the | :13:26. | :13:35.
arrest of a 40-year-man. Luke Durbin was last seen in Dog's Head | :13:35. | :13:41.
Street in Ipswich on 13th May 2006. Since then, a number sightings, and | :13:41. | :13:51.
:13:51. | :13:52. | ||
searches but no breakthrough.until today. I think of him every day. | :13:52. | :13:58.
There are sinister thoughts of where he might be. Luke was 19 when | :13:58. | :14:01.
he went missing. That night he was caught on a CCTV camera.in this | :14:01. | :14:08.
taxi office. Further sightings followed. Last September, police | :14:08. | :14:11.
teams searched undergrowth near to the Foxhall Stadium in the hunt for | :14:11. | :14:19.
clues. 10 miles away, police targeted this area of Woodbridge. | :14:19. | :14:25.
After reports of Luke.in a blue Renault Megane with a black driver. | :14:25. | :14:27.
Both searches revealing no evidence of Luke's disappearance. Today's | :14:28. | :14:30.
arrest was made by detectives from the joint Norfolk and Suffolk Major | :14:31. | :14:33.
Investigation Team. This afternoon a second house, the suspect's | :14:33. | :14:37.
former home in Rendlesham, was also cordoned off and searched. | :14:37. | :14:40.
A medieval church on the Ickworth estate in Suffolk is to be restored | :14:40. | :14:43.
with a Lottery grant of more than 700,000. St Mary's has been the | :14:43. | :14:46.
burial place of the Hervey family since 1467. It fell into disrepair | :14:46. | :14:49.
after being sold to the 7th Marquess of Bristol in 1986. The | :14:49. | :14:52.
restoration is being led by Frederick Hervey, the present | :14:52. | :15:02.
:15:02. | :15:03. | ||
Marquess of Bristol. We have worked hard to let people | :15:03. | :15:09.
back into the church and reveal its true glory. It was created by | :15:09. | :15:19.
:15:19. | :15:19. | ||
various perils of Bristol and marquesses in the past. | :15:19. | :15:23.
Day one of the Royal Norfolk Show got off to a good start the rain | :15:23. | :15:26.
held-off and 50,000 people went through the gates. The Agriculture | :15:26. | :15:29.
Minister Jim Paice paid a visit but traffic problems meant long queues | :15:29. | :15:30.
to get in. Delays to get in this Showground | :15:31. | :15:35.
this morning meant a three-hour wait for some. 1,000 cars every | :15:35. | :15:41.
other trying to get in. Inside, this family were inside with their | :15:41. | :15:45.
cattle. The last remaining a dairy cow being shown a for the final | :15:45. | :15:52.
time. The family are selling up after 107 years in the business. | :15:52. | :16:00.
There was a recent 10% cut in its milk prices which had a steeply. | :16:00. | :16:06.
Four my wife, after three generations of dairy farming, this | :16:06. | :16:15.
has been hard. The cows still has what it takes to win over the | :16:15. | :16:21.
judges. No umbrella as required. At the Suffolk Show, marquees were | :16:21. | :16:25.
blown over and the second day was cancelled. But some companies have | :16:25. | :16:29.
benefited from the rain. At the start of the year, it was very dry. | :16:29. | :16:36.
The latest reign has been very good for barley crops. We need some good | :16:36. | :16:41.
weather to finish off the process. The outlook for forming in a region | :16:41. | :16:46.
is quite good. Most farmers are optimistic about the future. This | :16:46. | :16:51.
show is worth 40 million to the local economy. Four businesses, it | :16:51. | :17:01.

is a vital chance to bring in new Curry may have become Britain's | :17:06. | :17:09.
national dish but behind the scenes the restaurant industry is worried | :17:09. | :17:11.
because last year the Government restricted immigration for Asian | :17:11. | :17:14.
chefs. Only chefs earning more than $28,000 can come into Britain and | :17:14. | :17:17.
that's a big problem for takeaways and restaurants. But in Northampton | :17:17. | :17:20.
they have come up with a home-grown solution. Our reporter has been to | :17:20. | :17:27.
meet the curry apprentices. It takes a lot of knowledge and | :17:27. | :17:31.
skill to tackle a tikka massala the restaurant way. Scores of spices go | :17:31. | :17:34.
into the secret recipe sauce. And these teenagers are getting tips | :17:34. | :17:39.
from the best. Weston Favell Academy has joined forces with the | :17:39. | :17:47.
Saffron Restaurant. Offering young apprentices not only a taste of | :17:47. | :17:50.
what it takes to cook Asian cuisine but real training which the owner | :17:50. | :17:55.
hopes could breed him a chef of the future. We have a crisis in our | :17:55. | :17:59.
sector because of emigration being tightened for small businesses like | :17:59. | :18:08.
ourselves. Two start of, you have to pay 20,000 pound or wages to get | :18:08. | :18:18.
:18:18. | :18:18. | ||
one chef over from the sub- continent. -- 28,000. But what | :18:19. | :18:26.
does the school get out of it? is great for our students. It let | :18:27. | :18:33.
them know if they want a career in the food industry. It was hard | :18:33. | :18:43.
:18:43. | :18:47. | ||
because I am not used to chopping with gloves on. The latest figures | :18:47. | :18:50.
from the Home Office show that last year 148,000 visas were issued to | :18:50. | :18:54.
people who wanted to work in the UK. That's a drop of 8% on the year | :18:54. | :18:57.
before. And the number has been falling since 2005. But can kids | :18:57. | :19:00.
from Northampton really cook curry as well as the chefs from | :19:00. | :19:02.
Bangladesh? Today the restaurants regular customers gave the | :19:02. | :19:06.
apprentices a thumbs up. students did a tremendous job. It | :19:06. | :19:11.
is only the first or second time they have done this. You cannot | :19:11. | :19:16.
knock them. They have done opportunity here. Maybe it is | :19:16. | :19:19.
something they do not think of Until few weeks ago. They have | :19:19. | :19:24.
shown today that they can make a go for it. So support for the | :19:24. | :19:26.
apprentices, but for the restaurant to succeed their curiosity must | :19:26. | :19:34.
turn into a career. Three more athletes from this | :19:34. | :19:37.
region have been added to Team East for the Olympic Games today. | :19:37. | :19:39.
Jonathan Clarke from Southend, Glenn Kirkham from Chelmsford and | :19:39. | :19:42.
Harry Martin from Ipswich are all in the men's hockey team. The Team | :19:43. | :19:49.
East total stands at 29. The swimmer Adam Brown from | :19:49. | :19:52.
Bedfordshire is a real medal prospect and he's back in the UK | :19:52. | :19:55.
after training in America leaving his fiance behind so he can focus | :19:55. | :20:05.
:20:05. | :20:07. | ||
on the Olympics. Our reporter has been to meet him. | :20:07. | :20:17.
Pulling 60 kgs in a swimming pool is not for the faint-hearted. But | :20:17. | :20:20.
if you're going for gold in 2012, you think of every last detail to | :20:20. | :20:23.
shave off every last split second. Adam Brown is Britain's best over | :20:23. | :20:29.
50 metres. I try not to think about too much. Four the average swimmer, | :20:29. | :20:33.
combining your stroke with breathing is a big challenge. | :20:33. | :20:41.
Forget about breathing over 50 metres. This race last 21 seconds. | :20:41. | :20:45.
Some people try to hold their breath. I do not breed. Without | :20:45. | :20:54.
breathing, you don't turn your head. How difficult is that to do? Fairly | :20:54. | :21:00.
difficult. It is more mental than physical. We do the work in the | :21:00. | :21:08.
pool which is to do with hypoxic training and holding your breath. | :21:08. | :21:12.
He is an outstanding athlete. Whether he will reach the pinnacle | :21:12. | :21:22.
:21:22. | :21:24. | ||
will be down to him. He is less than half a second of a medal. | :21:25. | :21:28.
as Adam chases a sporting dream he's had to leave a romantic one | :21:28. | :21:31.
behind in America where he'd been training. So whilst he focuses on | :21:31. | :21:37.
the race fiancee Mary sorts the reception. She has stuck with me. | :21:37. | :21:42.
It has been hard. She came over in March for the trials. She is coming | :21:42. | :21:47.
over for the Olympics. It will be good to see her during the on in | :21:47. | :21:53.
the crowd. With the Games less than five weeks away and a wedding in | :21:54. | :21:59.
October Adam could have quite a year. | :21:59. | :22:02.
In five days, the Olympic Torch will come to the east as part of | :22:02. | :22:05.
its journey around the UK. It is here for eight days. Hundreds of | :22:05. | :22:09.
people will carry the torch. One of them is John Bowman who will be | :22:09. | :22:11.
running through Chelmsford. Originally his wife Kirstie was | :22:11. | :22:19.
nominated, but she died from cancer in February. | :22:19. | :22:25.
She recognised early on that it would be a battle. She would never | :22:25. | :22:35.
:22:35. | :22:37. | ||
ask, why me? John Bowman met Kirste Snellgrove in 1993. They were both | :22:37. | :22:42.
in the police force. But John was married and they didn't get | :22:42. | :22:47.
together for another 11 years. was beautiful. She does very hip -- | :22:47. | :22:57.
:22:57. | :22:57. | ||
very fit and healthy. She was incredibly funny. In 2005, Kirste | :22:57. | :23:01.
was diagnosed with breast cancer. At that point she embarked on | :23:01. | :23:04.
running marathons to raise for the Breast Cancer Campaign. She would | :23:04. | :23:10.
constantly challenge herself. The first time we went out when she had | :23:10. | :23:14.
chemotherapy, she managed half a mile. The day before, she ran five | :23:14. | :23:24.
:23:24. | :23:28. | ||
miles. Kisrte 22 marathons in all and raised something like 100,000. | :23:28. | :23:31.
In 2010 John and Kirste married. But little more than a year later | :23:31. | :23:37.
Kirste lost her battle with cancer. Cancer did not beat her. Cancer | :23:38. | :23:45.
died when she did. Kirste ran the torch relay before the Beijing | :23:45. | :23:49.
Games. She was nominated to do it again this year. But now John will | :23:49. | :23:54.
carry the flame instead. She will be there, making sure I do it | :23:54. | :24:01.
properly and don't let her down. I don't want to let her down. I guess | :24:01. | :24:05.
I am slowly beginning to recognise how lucky I was to have someone | :24:05. | :24:14.
like her in my life. We all have a soul mate somewhere and I was lucky | :24:14. | :24:19.
to meet mine. I had seven wonderful years with her. I have had | :24:19. | :24:24.
counselling and my family and friends have given the reasons to | :24:24. | :24:34.
:24:34. | :24:36. | ||
go on. It is important I carry on her work and try to raise money for | :24:36. | :24:46.
:24:46. | :24:46. | ||
her work and try to raise money for cancer research. | :24:46. | :24:50.
And John will be running a leg of the relay at Hylands Park in | :24:50. | :24:52.
Chelmsford next Friday night. Just a reminder that the torch | :24:52. | :24:55.
arrives in our region on Monday in Northamptonshire. It will spend | :24:55. | :24:58.
eight days here, heading up through Peterborough to Norwich. Then down | :24:58. | :25:00.
south to Chelmsford with Cambridge and Luton also included. Here is | :25:00. | :25:03.
the detail day by day. On Monday, Coventry to Leicester, including | :25:03. | :25:06.
Northampton and Corby. On Tuesday, it goes from Leicester to | :25:06. | :25:08.
Peterborough. Wednesday is Peterborough across to King's Lynn. | :25:08. | :25:11.
Then up the coast and down to Norwich. On Thursday, it is Norwich | :25:11. | :25:14.
to Great Yarmouth and then down the coast to Ipswich. Friday, Ipswich | :25:14. | :25:17.
through Colchester to Chelmsford. It remains in the east for Saturday, | :25:17. | :25:20.
Sunday and Monday. We will have more details for those days next | :25:20. | :25:23.
week. Look East will be following it every inch of the way, as will | :25:23. | :25:31.
it every inch of the way, as will your BBC local radio stations. | :25:31. | :25:35.
The warmth and humidity has continued to build today. Most | :25:35. | :25:41.
parts of our region are in the 20s. That will all change at this low | :25:41. | :25:44.
swings in from the Atlantic tomorrow. One more day of that | :25:44. | :25:49.
humidity to deal with. This is the satellite image. Most places are | :25:49. | :25:54.
dry this evening, but there is a line of sharp showers on the | :25:54. | :26:04.
:26:04. | :26:07. | ||
Suffolk border with Norfolk. It will be muddy with the potential | :26:07. | :26:17.
:26:17. | :26:18. | ||
for rain overnight. -- it will be muddy. Here comes the low tomorrow. | :26:18. | :26:28.
:26:28. | :26:29. | ||
There will be some instability. There could be some thunderstorms. | :26:29. | :26:35.
The greatest risk is in North Northamptonshire, North | :26:35. | :26:43.
Cambridgeshire and West Norfolk. More isolated in the south of our | :26:43. | :26:53.
:26:53. | :26:54. | ||
region. Another warm and humid day. Temperatures could climb to 45 -- | :26:54. | :27:04.
:27:04. | :27:06. | ||
to 25 Celsius. There will be some thunderstorms. The risk is greater | :27:06. | :27:13.
in the north. So, the next five days. Temperatures returned to | :27:13. | :27:20.
about normal for this time of year. Anything between 18 and 20 degrees. | :27:20. | :27:24.
Similar days. We will see some sunshine and it will be breezy. | :27:24. | :27:28. |
