Hello. I'm Tom Williams. Crews are still at the scene of a large office

fire in the centre of Bedford. It broke out in the early hours of this

morning in the old council offices. Surrounding streets had to be sealed

off. It's believed the building was empty at the time. The fire still

hasn't been brought under control. A man wanted over the shooting of a

traveller near Stevenage has been arrested in Denmark. The victim,

Thomas Ward, died from a gunshot wound to the chest at a caravan site

in Dyes Lane last April. His second cousin, John Boy Ward, was arrested

near Copenhagen on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

Four men have been jailed for more than 40 years for kidnapping and

torturing a man in Ipswich. The gang snatched their victim in Bell Close.

They tortured him with a hot iron and boiling water, before burgling

his home. Gibril Seray`Wurie was sentenced to 14 years and Malachi

Cavalho twelve. Daniel Smith and Ricky Greenwood got 14 years between

them. Fears of further flooding in the

East seem to be fading. River levels in several areas, including here on

the Suffolk`Essex border, are continuing to rise as Thursday

night's rainfall moves downstream. There are more than 30 flood

warnings still in force for the region as the Environment Agency

monitors river levels. But it says there's no immediate threat to any

more properties. In the football today, all eyes on

days to come and the Met Office have got a yellow warning in place, just

for the Home Counties. This is for rain until six 6am. This afternoon

will be less in the way of sunshine. As it clouds over, we will

have more of those showers. Pretty heavy with some Hill and thunder

mixed in. Norfolk and Suffolk will further best. You may get away with

no showers at all. Those strong south`westerly winds will continue

through the night. They strengthen later on in the day. As to the
