from the Atlantic. Thank you very much. That's it from us. | :00:00. | :00:09.
Hello and welcome to Look East. In the programme tonight: Conned by a | :00:10. | :00:14.
cowboy ` the pensioner taken for thousands by this builder who is now | :00:15. | :00:24.
behind bars. At night time I kept winking `` picking up, thinking what | :00:25. | :00:28.
a fool I been. The end of a tragic week for RAF Lakenheath after the | :00:29. | :00:31.
helicopter crash that killed four airmen. Double Top for "Darting | :00:32. | :00:34.
Deeter", as she targets the World Championships. And Sam Smith's the | :00:35. | :00:38.
Sound of 2014, the singer most likely to succeed this year. | :00:39. | :00:52.
Good evening. A pensioner has told Look East how he was conned by a | :00:53. | :01:03.
cowboy builder out of thousands of pounds. Alan Fitzgerald, the | :01:04. | :01:06.
builder, is now behind bars serving the longest sentence ever handed out | :01:07. | :01:09.
in Northamptonshire in a trading standards case. Many of those | :01:10. | :01:12.
targetted were elderly. One victim, David Old spoke to our reporter Neil | :01:13. | :01:14.
Bradford. This is the house where it began, he | :01:15. | :01:24.
came round and offered to prepare the crack in the driveway. In March | :01:25. | :01:30.
2012, David employed the services of a local builder. He agreed to pay | :01:31. | :01:37.
him ?475 to repair his driveway But the builder soon found other jobs to | :01:38. | :01:43.
keep him busy. He came over quite reassuring, that he could do the | :01:44. | :01:47.
work for me, and a variety of work, like decoration, internal fittings | :01:48. | :01:55.
and things. And I thought, at that time, he was the man for the job. | :01:56. | :02:02.
His builder was Alan Fitzgerald a fraudster who look for elderly and | :02:03. | :02:05.
vulnerable victims. In just two years, he took ?300,000 from 39 | :02:06. | :02:14.
people across three counties. This is the work he has done in the | :02:15. | :02:17.
lounge here. He has painted all of the walls and put me a new curtain | :02:18. | :02:28.
rail up like many victims, 74`year`old David was often | :02:29. | :02:31.
substandard, or simply left unfinished. Demanding payment in | :02:32. | :02:35.
advance, Fitzgerald even drove the partially sighted pensioner to the | :02:36. | :02:41.
bank. The final bill reached a staggering ?22,500. At night time I | :02:42. | :02:47.
kept waking up, thinking what a fool I had been to allow this man to | :02:48. | :02:56.
drive me to the bank and get me to draw out all of this money. And just | :02:57. | :03:03.
pay it over to him. Fitzgerald's oldest victim was 94. This week he | :03:04. | :03:07.
admitted fraudulent trading and described by a judge as truly | :03:08. | :03:10.
despicable and was jailed for six years. David, who works as a piano | :03:11. | :03:17.
restorer, hopes his experience. Others from being conned in the same | :03:18. | :03:19.
way. The chaplain at RAF Lakenheath in | :03:20. | :03:25.
Suffolk has been talking today about the sense of brotherhood at the | :03:26. | :03:28.
base, that is helping them cope with tragedy. On Tuesday, a Pave Hawk | :03:29. | :03:33.
helicopter crashed on the Norfolk coast killing the four airmen on | :03:34. | :03:38.
board. Our Chief reporter, Kim Riley has spent the day at Lakenheath He | :03:39. | :03:40.
sent this report a few minutes ago. A very difficult week is drawing to | :03:41. | :03:51.
a close here with many personnel still deployed to that crash site on | :03:52. | :03:56.
the north Norfolk coast. They face a very difficult job, and it will be | :03:57. | :04:00.
many weeks before the accident investigators's conclusions are | :04:01. | :04:07.
known. An F`15 taxes to the runway, and it appears to be business as | :04:08. | :04:11.
usual at Lakenheath, but the fences decked with flowers and tributes to | :04:12. | :04:18.
the lost airmen. One woman's wife is here with her young son. We are | :04:19. | :04:24.
supporting each other as a community. I didn't know any of | :04:25. | :04:27.
them, but it's a sad loss. These goes comeback from war, then they do | :04:28. | :04:33.
a little training thing, and this happens. It is so sad. John Ritter | :04:34. | :04:38.
is one of six chaplains on the station who has been supporting the | :04:39. | :04:41.
families. And also Lakenheath personnel working at the sight at | :04:42. | :04:47.
the time. The scene is one of those that is difficult for anybody to be | :04:48. | :04:51.
there. What we try to do is help folks and help them deal with what | :04:52. | :04:54.
they are going through. The response we have had from this country and | :04:55. | :05:03.
the people surrounding us here at Lakenheath has been absolutely | :05:04. | :05:05.
wonderful. It has been a blessing to all of us, supporting us, letting us | :05:06. | :05:10.
know they are praying for us, and praying for the families. It's been | :05:11. | :05:13.
a great comfort knowing that we have such support from our neighbours. We | :05:14. | :05:20.
will get through it eventually. We will. You know what, it's OK. It's | :05:21. | :05:28.
what he wanted to do. Captain Chris's parents, Mick and Mary, have | :05:29. | :05:34.
spoken of their pride in his distinguished air force career. When | :05:35. | :05:37.
their son spoke to local students they learned the extent of the | :05:38. | :05:39.
challenges faced during tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their crew had | :05:40. | :05:45.
100 rescues attributed to them. All of the kids were amazed, and in my | :05:46. | :05:54.
mind I think, that is one day, and that's into fire, situations. | :05:55. | :06:01.
Knowing it was 100 was good enough for me, I didn't need the details. | :06:02. | :06:05.
The bereaved families of the four crew members will be the first brief | :06:06. | :06:09.
when the accident investigation board reaches conclusions in the | :06:10. | :06:11.
next two months. The official report will then be published. The bodies | :06:12. | :06:17.
of the four mm are at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for poor smoke | :06:18. | :06:22.
is `` for postmortem is to be carried out. This Sunday there will | :06:23. | :06:26.
be praising many churches for the victims, their families, and all of | :06:27. | :06:30.
those truck `` touched by this tragedy. | :06:31. | :06:33.
Conservatives in South East Cambridgeshire will meet within the | :06:34. | :06:38.
next hour to decide what to do about their general election candidate. It | :06:39. | :06:41.
follows reports that they may have chosen the wrong person last month. | :06:42. | :06:43.
Our political correspondent Andrew Sinclair is in Ely where the meeting | :06:44. | :06:48.
is about to be held. So it could be quite a stormy affair? I think it | :06:49. | :06:56.
will be. There is a lot of anger in the local party about this. It was | :06:57. | :06:59.
last month in the hall behind me the members of the local party and the | :07:00. | :07:04.
public gathered to choose a successor for Sir James Pace at the | :07:05. | :07:09.
next election, and they chose Lucy Fraser, a London barrister, highly | :07:10. | :07:13.
regarded by the Conservative Party hierarchy but she had not been the | :07:14. | :07:15.
favourite to win. The favourite had been a councillor from Saint Albans | :07:16. | :07:21.
called Heidi Allen, and she had campaigned hard and there was a lot | :07:22. | :07:25.
of surprise when Heidi Alan did not win. Very shortly afterwards we | :07:26. | :07:28.
started to hear grumbles about the way the whole election had been run, | :07:29. | :07:33.
claims that the ballot papers had not been properly printed and some | :07:34. | :07:36.
candidates names were in capital letters and others were not. This | :07:37. | :07:40.
week it was confirmed to us that there had been a problem in actually | :07:41. | :07:43.
counting the number of boats. They may have counted them wrong way | :07:44. | :07:48.
They found a bundle of papers in the Lucy Fraser pile which actually had | :07:49. | :07:52.
Heidi Alan's name on it. That called the whole selection into question | :07:53. | :07:58.
and why we have a meeting tonight. Quite a saga. What do we expect to | :07:59. | :08:02.
happen at the meeting tonight? It has officially been called to | :08:03. | :08:06.
re`endorse Lucy Fraser as the candidate, and that's what the party | :08:07. | :08:10.
wants to see happen, but I don't think it will be that | :08:11. | :08:11.
straightforward. There are supporters of Heidi Alan who think | :08:12. | :08:16.
this has been very unfair and they want to call for the election to be | :08:17. | :08:20.
rerun from scratch. I don't know how strong the calls will be tonight but | :08:21. | :08:23.
if enough people agree, the party will have to scrap the whole | :08:24. | :08:26.
election and start again from scratch. That will be embarrassing | :08:27. | :08:29.
and also a lot of hassle because they will have to call another | :08:30. | :08:36.
general, open primary. To give you an idea of how serious this is, | :08:37. | :08:39.
there are officials from Conservative Party web quarters here | :08:40. | :08:43.
tonight to make sure there are no more mix`ups `` headquarters. And | :08:44. | :08:47.
there's more on this story on the Sunday Politics show this Sunday at | :08:48. | :08:49.
11:00pm on BBC One. Now, it's one of the fastest growing | :08:50. | :08:56.
towns in the region. And in the last three years alone, 1,500 new homes | :08:57. | :09:00.
have been built, making Corby one of the top three places in the UK for | :09:01. | :09:02.
development. Priors Hall Park is typical. | :09:03. | :09:12.
Building work ground to a halt in the recession, but has now has a new | :09:13. | :09:14.
lease of life. This housing estate, perhaps more | :09:15. | :09:21.
than anywhere, symbolises the economic crash. Work ground to a | :09:22. | :09:26.
halt, leaving houses and roads unfinished, but the site owner was | :09:27. | :09:30.
never in any doubt that Corby was a good place to build and that the | :09:31. | :09:36.
good times would return. It is one hour from London on a train and on | :09:37. | :09:45.
the A14. It sits in the middle of Milton Keynes and Cambridge as an | :09:46. | :09:47.
exciting place to bring your kids up, walk your dog, and work. Work is | :09:48. | :09:55.
underway now thanks in part to a government grant, but there are | :09:56. | :09:57.
concerns that despite projects like this, the region and the country | :09:58. | :10:01.
still has a chronic shortage of housing, a situation the government | :10:02. | :10:08.
says is improving. There is a real challenge in delivering houses. We | :10:09. | :10:11.
have delivered. In total, 400,0 0 houses so far, and we have done that | :10:12. | :10:17.
coming out of the deepest recession since the 1920s. The government is | :10:18. | :10:22.
also keen to point out that a healthy housing market means a | :10:23. | :10:25.
healthy jobs market, and in particular helps youth unemployment. | :10:26. | :10:31.
There is just so much work it to be done. It is falling on us at the | :10:32. | :10:36.
moment. We have constantly got work. Talk to me about the skills you are | :10:37. | :10:42.
learning on the site? Most importantly, the experience you need | :10:43. | :10:45.
to do other things in the trade so it works out really well. It is | :10:46. | :10:50.
claimed that this is the largest development site in the country | :10:51. | :10:56.
covering some 1500 acres. The sheer scale of the site is quite hard to | :10:57. | :10:59.
describe. Currently around 200 houses have already been built, but | :11:00. | :11:04.
there are plans to build another 5000 in the next 15 years. And the | :11:05. | :11:09.
developers claim there are no shortage of people willing to move | :11:10. | :11:14.
here, saying marketing campaigns such as this have attracted | :11:15. | :11:17.
commuters from London and from surrounding towns in | :11:18. | :11:17.
Northamptonshire. Search teams have been out in force | :11:18. | :11:24.
today looking for a Bedfordshire man who's been missing for more than a | :11:25. | :11:27.
week. Police searched stretches of water in Leighton Buzzard where Neil | :11:28. | :11:31.
Devlin was last seen on New Year's Day. The 36`year`old was reported | :11:32. | :11:34.
missing after a night out with friends. His route home is thought | :11:35. | :11:43.
to have been near the river. A body has not yet been found. Later, Alex | :11:44. | :11:48.
officers after arriving on a flight from Sao Paulo in Brazil. | :11:49. | :11:56.
Still to come on the programme tonight, the weekend weather, the | :11:57. | :12:08.
sport, and tips for the top in part. We will talk to Sam Smith, the thing | :12:09. | :12:12.
from Cambridgeshire who is the BBC's Sound of 2014. | :12:13. | :12:19.
If new technology is your thing, you'll probably have heard of 3D | :12:20. | :12:25.
printing. Instead of printing ink onto paper, it's a way of scanning | :12:26. | :12:29.
an object and then printing it in 3D in plastic. What you get should be | :12:30. | :12:32.
an exact copy of the original. Now that technology is being used on | :12:33. | :12:36.
Tornado jets at their base at RAF Marham in Norfolk. It's a way of | :12:37. | :12:40.
making spare parts on site and it saves a lot of time and money. | :12:41. | :12:45.
In an aircraft hangar in Norfolk, something is changing. Where once | :12:46. | :12:51.
parts were manufactured miles away. Now they are being printed. This | :12:52. | :12:55.
part is used to protect the radio in a cockpit. First, a model is | :12:56. | :13:01.
scanned. The stickers allow the computer to track where the laser is | :13:02. | :13:06.
being applied to the surface. That surface is captured then transmitted | :13:07. | :13:11.
to the computer. Then a 3D image is created ready to send to the printer | :13:12. | :13:14.
to make. But instead of using ink, it uses plastic. It builds up | :13:15. | :13:22.
layers, so it wastes nothing and saves time. A tool for an aircraft | :13:23. | :13:27.
component can take anything from a few weeks to several months to | :13:28. | :13:33.
manufacture. With the combination of 3D scanning and 3D printing we use, | :13:34. | :13:36.
we can reduce those timescales down to a matter of days. For small | :13:37. | :13:42.
parts, even hours. The plastic for these casings is made specifically | :13:43. | :13:45.
to protect the aircraft. Then after around 24 hours in this printer, the | :13:46. | :13:52.
component should be ready to fit. To be able to turn what we see in | :13:53. | :13:55.
two`dimensions on our computer screens into the real | :13:56. | :13:57.
three`dimensional construct. Get it in our hands, take it to the | :13:58. | :14:00.
aircraft. Marvellous, absolutely fantastic. And this is the actual | :14:01. | :14:07.
part fitted in the cockpit. Made out of the 3D printer, it costs a couple | :14:08. | :14:11.
of hundred pounds. But if it was manufactured the traditional way, it | :14:12. | :14:15.
would cost up to 2000. There were concerns about 3D printers in | :14:16. | :14:18.
America being used to make guns. But more and more businesses are using | :14:19. | :14:24.
them. This year, NASA wants to launch one into space to help | :14:25. | :14:27.
astronauts manufacture parts. And in the future, it is hoped they could | :14:28. | :14:34.
be used by air personnel abroad. There is no reason to suspect that, | :14:35. | :14:37.
into the future, this kind of technology can be part of a deployed | :14:38. | :14:40.
operation in support of maintaining and repairing those aircraft away | :14:41. | :14:46.
from the main base such as this. The Tornado aircraft are due to be | :14:47. | :14:50.
retired in 2019. By then, who knows which components will be made using | :14:51. | :14:54.
a 3D printer? The future is in the imagination of the designers. | :14:55. | :15:03.
It is amazing. So clever. Sport now. And with news of the | :15:04. | :15:07.
darts World Championships and a great run for Ipswich Town, here's | :15:08. | :15:10.
Tom. Yes, there's a fight to stay in the | :15:11. | :15:14.
Premier League in this region plus a battle to get in it. Mick McCarthy | :15:15. | :15:18.
today missed out on December's Manager of the Month award. But | :15:19. | :15:21.
after a long unbeaten run dating back to November, Ipswich look | :15:22. | :15:24.
well`placed to challenge for a play`off spot. Town host QPR | :15:25. | :15:27.
tomorrow. It's sixth versus third in the Championship. | :15:28. | :15:30.
For over a decade, it switched to have been going nowhere. 12 years in | :15:31. | :15:34.
the same league, the Championship's longest Irving club, but after | :15:35. | :15:41.
several seasons, Mick McCarthy has the club looking up. Yeah, I talk | :15:42. | :15:47.
about it all the time, being in the promotion, we want to be in the top | :15:48. | :15:55.
six. And I think we have probably deserved to be there. They were | :15:56. | :16:00.
relegated in 2002, managers coming and going, in fact they were last | :16:01. | :16:06.
challenging the play`offs six years ago, but since Marcus Evans took | :16:07. | :16:09.
over, they have barely threatened promotion. We have not finished as | :16:10. | :16:16.
high as expected, but we have had a great little run. We believe they | :16:17. | :16:20.
are good enough to be in the top six, which is where we have aimed | :16:21. | :16:24.
from day one. What would it mean for the club and town at its rich could | :16:25. | :16:29.
get up this year? It has been a long time since the town has been up to | :16:30. | :16:33.
those heady heights, but fantastic, not just the club, staff, but give | :16:34. | :16:40.
the town a huge boost. It costs a lot of money to play football in the | :16:41. | :16:44.
championship, and a golden egg in the Premiership, something we have | :16:45. | :16:48.
been chasing, and the sooner we get there, the better. Certainly for the | :16:49. | :16:53.
club 80 million in debt, but they have transformed and is deadly claim | :16:54. | :16:59.
the league, raising expectation. When he came in common he inspired | :17:00. | :17:02.
the players, but confidence to the first`team squad. So we are not | :17:03. | :17:07.
surprised that he has worked so well. And the players love playing | :17:08. | :17:13.
for him. And knocking on your doer looking for money? We have | :17:14. | :17:21.
strengthened squad this Christmas. He has not not yet, but the door is | :17:22. | :17:28.
open. Attendances down, averaging 16,500, nearly 25,010 years ago, but | :17:29. | :17:34.
a fan's group as dons a survey to find out why. `` has launched a | :17:35. | :17:41.
survey. Attendances down dramatically, a lot down to price, a | :17:42. | :17:44.
cost of living crisis in the country, and people having to pick | :17:45. | :17:49.
and choose those that it is price, football needs to realise that. But | :17:50. | :17:55.
Ipswich are worth watching again, contenders, can they stay there? And | :17:56. | :18:00.
you can see more on Mick McCarthy at noon tomorrow on BBC One on Football | :18:01. | :18:07.
Focus. For Norwich, it's back to the | :18:08. | :18:10.
Premier League away to Everton. City drew 1`1 with Crystal Palace on New | :18:11. | :18:14.
Year's Day. But having gone five games without a win in the league, | :18:15. | :18:17.
they've dropped to 15th, three points above the drop`zone. Players | :18:18. | :18:20.
take full responsibility for what happens on the pitch, and we get set | :18:21. | :18:23.
out to win a game of football. If we do not do that, it is on our heads. | :18:24. | :18:27.
The manager and staff take the brunt, but players have to take | :18:28. | :18:30.
responsibility. Start running it round. | :18:31. | :18:34.
In Rugby, Northampton play the first of two make or break games in the | :18:35. | :18:38.
Heineken Cup this weekend. Ospreys first on Sunday. Saints are still | :18:39. | :18:42.
hoping to reach the quarter finals. The world darts championship | :18:43. | :18:46.
finishes this weekend. We have two ladies still in it. 19`year`old | :18:47. | :19:03.
Fallon Sherrock from Milton Keynes. And Deta Hedman. James Barrett has | :19:04. | :19:11.
been to meet her. You want to put on a good performance. I do not worry | :19:12. | :19:15.
about who I am playing, just play the dartboard. Meet Deta Hedman, the | :19:16. | :19:22.
postie with the deadly delivery. At 54 years of age, nearly 30 years of | :19:23. | :19:25.
competition, the adrenaline's still pumping. You just see the crowd, get | :19:26. | :19:32.
so excited, and once your music comes on, you cannot help but dance, | :19:33. | :19:38.
and give someone the hive. You see friends as you come along. Your | :19:39. | :19:46.
heart is pumping. `` give someone the high`five. 1100 people will be | :19:47. | :19:53.
packed in here, making a racket. If you support someone on the oche, it | :19:54. | :20:02.
can be excruciating. An absolute nightmare. Excruciating. You want to | :20:03. | :20:06.
do well, but you cannot guarantee it. Depending on whether she is | :20:07. | :20:10.
successful, or beaten, depends on the mood for the rest of the night. | :20:11. | :20:14.
The women's field has grown to 16 this year for the first time. A | :20:15. | :20:18.
?12,000 cheque lies in wait for the winner. But Deta won't be feeling | :20:19. | :20:21.
the strain of the increasing competition. It really is just | :20:22. | :20:26.
another day. The pressure is not on me. I do have a job, this is a hobby | :20:27. | :20:32.
I thoroughly enjoyed. If I did not win, or do not do well, I have a | :20:33. | :20:37.
wage coming in, so no pressure, really. Deta's semifinal is | :20:38. | :20:40.
tomorrow, with a possible final on Sunday. Whatever happens, it's back | :20:41. | :20:46.
to work at the Royal Mail depot in Chelmsford on Monday. With the title | :20:47. | :20:49.
hopefully signed, sealed and delivered. | :20:50. | :20:55.
Best of luck to have. The views to all this we can's football on the | :20:56. | :21:01.
BBC sport website well as coverage on BBC local radio. `` this | :21:02. | :21:05.
weekend's football. Good luck to her, she is great. | :21:06. | :21:13.
Now if you haven't already heard the name Sam Smith, the chances are you | :21:14. | :21:16.
will soon. That's because Sam, who's from Cambridgeshire, is tipped to be | :21:17. | :21:20.
one of the biggest names in British pop music. He's been named as the | :21:21. | :21:24.
BBC's Sound of 2014, the singer most likely to succeed in the coming | :21:25. | :21:27.
year. Previous winners include Adele and Jessie J. In a moment, we'll | :21:28. | :21:30.
hear from the man himself. But first, here's Sam Smith doing what | :21:31. | :21:38.
he does best. # I'm covering my ears! # # I lay by | :21:39. | :21:58.
your side! # I'm latching onto you! # an amazing voice. | :21:59. | :22:03.
He BBC's Sound of 2014 is decided by a range of music industry experts. | :22:04. | :22:06.
When we spoke to Sam earlier, I asked him how it felt to be | :22:07. | :22:10.
recognised in this way. It kind of means everything. I have been locked | :22:11. | :22:13.
away in the last year writing my album, surrounded by industry | :22:14. | :22:17.
people, making friends, and just to have they nod is really special. | :22:18. | :22:22.
Really special. You joined quite a while of Fame, Jessie J, Adele, how | :22:23. | :22:30.
does it feel to be amongst those names? It means a great deal. I was | :22:31. | :22:41.
16 when I saw Adele win the Brit. But I would go mad if I thought | :22:42. | :22:45.
about it too much. I saw on Twitter, you said you were an | :22:46. | :22:49.
emotional wreck today. And this comes after being the critics choice | :22:50. | :22:56.
for the Brits as well. An incredible few months? Gill macro editor has | :22:57. | :22:58.
been incredible. The most emotional thing about it is... | :22:59. | :23:07.
It has been incredible. The most emotional thing about it is the | :23:08. | :23:14.
fans. My mother sending me pictures. It is crazy. Your mother is very | :23:15. | :23:21.
proud, as are your friends, but looking back, going to school in | :23:22. | :23:24.
Bishops Stortford, did you think at 21 you would be doing this? No, I | :23:25. | :23:31.
moved to London when I was 18, worked in a bar for two years, and | :23:32. | :23:35.
literally about a year and a bit ago, about two years ago, I said to | :23:36. | :23:40.
myself, one more year, and if I do not do anything, I have to stop and | :23:41. | :23:45.
stop I was cleaning toilets, getting so sick of it. And I had good | :23:46. | :23:53.
A`levels. Thank God I stuck with it. And your first solo single is coming | :23:54. | :23:58.
out next month. But I know you are interested in exploring different | :23:59. | :24:03.
genres of music. Basically, what is important is, I grew up listening to | :24:04. | :24:09.
massive diva voices, and an obsession in the industry with | :24:10. | :24:17.
putting people in boxes, that is that person's zone, and I want to | :24:18. | :24:21.
break that for men, missing the likes of George Michael, Prince, | :24:22. | :24:27.
Elton John, all these people who could float in and out of genres, | :24:28. | :24:33.
singing whatever I want to think. Which is what I have tried to do | :24:34. | :24:38.
with these various songs that I have released. Every song has been | :24:39. | :24:41.
different. That is important for me to make that point. Thank goodness | :24:42. | :24:46.
you give yourself that extra year, because your single comes out next | :24:47. | :24:53.
month. Yes, and my video comes out on Monday. Great to talk to you and | :24:54. | :24:59.
congratulations from everyone at Look East. Thank you. What a start | :25:00. | :25:05.
for 2014. Nice man. How is the weather? | :25:06. | :25:09.
All right if you like it cold and crisp. A weather front at the moment | :25:10. | :25:15.
moves in from the West, bringing a band rain across the country. Not a | :25:16. | :25:20.
lot of rain left when it gets to us, but turning things cloudier, and | :25:21. | :25:25.
over the next few hours, some patchy rain, moving eastwards through this | :25:26. | :25:30.
evening. And then later tonight for the eastern half. Most of it out to | :25:31. | :25:34.
sea by the end of the night. Most of us three of cost. `` free of frost. | :25:35. | :25:44.
Attach a growing frost possible in rural spots. A moderate | :25:45. | :25:51.
south`westerly wind as well. Into tomorrow morning, across the eastern | :25:52. | :25:56.
half, it may be cloudy with rain, but essentially high pressure | :25:57. | :26:00.
building, meaning we will see a day that will be cold, crisp and with | :26:01. | :26:04.
long spells of sunshine, a fine winter's day. Into tomorrow, long | :26:05. | :26:10.
spells of sunshine through much of the day. High temperatures of around | :26:11. | :26:16.
or seven degrees. Not warm, but alike when from an north`westerly | :26:17. | :26:24.
direction. `` light wind. When the sun goes down, it will get very cold | :26:25. | :26:30.
indeed. Some sharp frost following for tomorrow night, quite widely | :26:31. | :26:33.
temperatures dropping below freezing, so expect sharp frost, | :26:34. | :26:39.
probably the sharpest we have seen this winter. The high pressure that | :26:40. | :26:42.
would bring cold beer is looking like a double move to the East, a | :26:43. | :26:46.
line weather that macro will bring cold beer to the East. `` cold air. | :26:47. | :26:56.
Just to deal with Sunday, it looks like there will be some mist and fog | :26:57. | :27:01.
forming for Saturday night, and lingering into Sunday morning. Then | :27:02. | :27:06.
lifting into low`level cloud, so lots of Sunday quite cloudy and | :27:07. | :27:10.
therefore cold. The left, some brighter spells. Then overnight rain | :27:11. | :27:15.
moving through on Sunday night. Some heavy. Match of it out of the way by | :27:16. | :27:24.
Monday, largely dry and bright, before the next weather system comes | :27:25. | :27:28.
through Monday night into Tuesday, some showers around. | :27:29. | :27:34.
Overall not bad. We can live with that. That is all for this evening. | :27:35. | :27:37.
Have a very good weekend. Goodbye. | :27:38. | :27:42. |
