First tonight, a young woman is in hospital

following a fire at a flat in Northampton.

Crews were called in the early hours of this morning.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson.

Hours after the blaze broke out at this first-floor flat,

Inside, police say the damage is extensive.

Two people were rescued from the property at four

Four fire crews were here at the scene,

And those people in surrounding flats today exhausted

after being woken up by the fire during the night

There was a gentleman hanging out the window,

He jumped out the window and then more fire brigade turned up.

A lot of these people got evacuated out of their houses,

and then the police went round trying to bash the door in.

They couldn't bash it in for a little while,

and then they must have got the girl out of there.

Yeah, it was really frightening, actually, yeah because it's a quiet

It's just horrible to see all the elderly women having to get

out of their houses at that time of night.

Police say a 20-year-old woman is being treated

for serious injuries at Northampton General Hospital

and that a 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson.

Residents have now been allowed to return to their homes.

The investigation, meanwhile, continues.

Four people have now been charged with the murder

Liam Hunt suffered injuries on Tuesday evening

and an 18-year-old have been charged.

Another boy is also being questioned.

Cloud is going to come and go throughout this weekend and this

was something demonstrated exquisitely by one of our weather

Here was the picture at about seven o'clock,

beautiful pink skies and some clear weather at that.

Half an hour later - sun is up, lots of cloud in the sky.

So that's really what's going to happen as we go through tonight.

Patchy cloud coming and going, thickening up towards the early

hours, and the breeze is going to be picking up as well.

I think temperatures at their lowest, something like five degrees.

And we start tomorrow with a mixture of cloud,

but some bright and sunny spells coming and going throughout the day.

Bit of a breeze blowing in from the west, but temperatures

will be comfortably in double figures and it will feel quite

pleasant in the best of the sunny spells.

I can't produce too much sunshine throughout this week.

There will be a fair amount of cloud, a little on the breezy

It has been a mild day to day and some of us have seen some spring

sunshine. Blue skies and sunshine here above the River Thames. It has

not been sunny everywhere, though. We have got more cloud around across

more northerly parts of the country. Some rain to come tonight across

Scotland and northern England, all clearing away by the time we get to

Sunday morning. And it will be quite chilly start to Sunday, particularly

in the south-east corner, where there could be some mist and fog
