Hello, welcome to Look North. In the programme tonight: A three`year`old | :00:07. | :00:10.
boy has been killed in a hit`and`run incident in Darlington. We're trying | :00:11. | :00:13.
to piece together what's happened and we're trying to trace any | :00:14. | :00:16.
witnesses in the area. Also tonight. Underwater searches | :00:17. | :00:19.
for an American student who's been missing for five days after a night | :00:20. | :00:23.
out in Durham. Everything must go. Experts prepare | :00:24. | :00:29.
to rescue specimen plants from Newcastle's Botanic Gardens, which | :00:30. | :00:33.
look set to close after 90 years. And they're in the Army now. The | :00:34. | :00:37.
teenage soldiers reunited with their families after six weeks of training | :00:38. | :00:42.
at a special military college. And in tonight's Team Talk. Black | :00:43. | :00:45.
and white delight... Red and white misery! Words of wisdom as the | :00:46. | :00:49.
Magpies shock Mourinho's men with victory at St James'. But the Black | :00:50. | :00:53.
Cats lose their cool against their old boss at Hull. | :00:54. | :01:08.
A three`year`old boy has been knocked down and killed in a hit and | :01:09. | :01:13.
run incident in Darlington in County Durham. It happened this morning, | :01:14. | :01:16.
close to the junction of Falmer Road and Neasham Road in the Eastbourne | :01:17. | :01:20.
Park area of the town. Police have had the area sealed off for much of | :01:21. | :01:25.
the day. Our Reporter Alison Freeman is at the scene. Alison, do we know | :01:26. | :01:34.
yet what exactly happened? Police are saying that witnesses are then | :01:35. | :01:39.
on the ground. It happened in the morning. It happened very quickly. | :01:40. | :01:48.
What we do know, is that the three`year`old boy was walking with | :01:49. | :01:54.
his mother. They turned into another road, and it was there that he was | :01:55. | :02:02.
hit by a car. It failed to stop and the driver left. He died at the | :02:03. | :02:11.
scene. Police are looking for clues to find out who the driver was. | :02:12. | :02:20.
Earlier, I spoke to a local man. He told me what had happened. I heard a | :02:21. | :02:26.
lot of shouting and screaming. I came running out of the house. I ran | :02:27. | :02:30.
towards the top of the street. The little lad plays with my son during | :02:31. | :02:36.
the summer. They played outside my house. Obviously a terrible | :02:37. | :02:52.
incident. Yes. This is a fairly close`knit area. The children play | :02:53. | :03:01.
together. There is a school nearby. It is all but the people here were | :03:02. | :03:06.
talking about. Police are trying to work out what has happened. A car | :03:07. | :03:15.
was removed from the area. This evening, flowers have been laid at | :03:16. | :03:23.
the scene. I spoke to the local inspector, who told me what it had | :03:24. | :03:33.
been like. We are trying to piece together what has happened. We want | :03:34. | :03:39.
to know if anybody saw vehicles acting suspiciously. Police have | :03:40. | :03:47.
told us in the last hour that they have arrested a local man. They | :03:48. | :03:55.
stress that this is still at a very early stage. | :03:56. | :04:01.
The family of an American student missing in Durham for almost a week | :04:02. | :04:04.
say they're hoping against hope he's still alive. Sope Peters hasn't been | :04:05. | :04:08.
seen since a night out drinking last Tuesday. Today his uncle arrived in | :04:09. | :04:15.
the country to help with the search. The hopes are slim, and fading. | :04:16. | :04:21.
Watching the search is Sope's uncle. He's travelled thousands of miles | :04:22. | :04:26.
from North Virginia to be here. It's very difficult. We're a closely`knit | :04:27. | :04:31.
family. Not just his mum, dad and sister. His uncles and grandmother. | :04:32. | :04:40.
Cousins. Both in Nigeria and the States. It's devastating. But we | :04:41. | :04:48.
have a strong faith. We continue to believe. This was Sope's second year | :04:49. | :04:59.
of university in Durham. Students have distributed posters around the | :05:00. | :05:06.
city. So what do we know of his movements? He'd been out drinking in | :05:07. | :05:13.
Durham city centre. He emerged down these steps, onto the riverfront. | :05:14. | :05:18.
He's picked up by CCTV. After that, absolutely nothing. You've got to be | :05:19. | :05:25.
pragmatic. Every likelihood is that he's in the river. We've exhausted | :05:26. | :05:28.
land searches. Extensive CCTV reviews. We can't put him out of | :05:29. | :05:35.
this location. That said, we're still holding on to the hope that | :05:36. | :05:40.
he's safe and well somewhere. The river can be 20 feet deep in places. | :05:41. | :05:47.
Tomorrow, divers will go in. Sope's dad is also on his way from America, | :05:48. | :06:02.
to join the search. People opposed to an underground | :06:03. | :06:05.
nuclear waste store in Cumbria have set up a new pressure group. Back in | :06:06. | :06:09.
January, the County Council brought the search for a site to a | :06:10. | :06:13.
standstill when it voted no, despite the two district councils ` | :06:14. | :06:16.
Allerdale and Copeland ` being in favour. But the Government's now | :06:17. | :06:20.
proposing to allow those district councils to act alone. Side by side, | :06:21. | :06:30.
but fiercely opposed. Those for and against continuing with the search | :06:31. | :06:33.
for somewhere to bury nuclear waste in Cumbria ` hoping to make their | :06:34. | :06:36.
voices heard outside the County Council in January. The decision by | :06:37. | :06:42.
county councillors to vote no and pull out of the process overruled | :06:43. | :06:45.
yes votes by Copeland and Allerdale borough councils. But now the | :06:46. | :06:49.
Government wants to change the rules. Its new proposals would allow | :06:50. | :06:53.
borough councils to participate in site searches, without the approval | :06:54. | :06:57.
of the County Council. It's a move that makes more sense for some | :06:58. | :07:03.
politicians in West Cumbria. I think it's allowed the right authority at | :07:04. | :07:07.
the right level to take the decision. But what we can't forget | :07:08. | :07:11.
is that, also included in the consultation, are words like | :07:12. | :07:16.
referendum. It's very clear to me that it's actually given the right | :07:17. | :07:21.
to the local people. Basically, the local authority will just be there | :07:22. | :07:24.
to listen to the community as they already do. They will then take the | :07:25. | :07:28.
final decision. But those who hoped January's vote was binding are angry | :07:29. | :07:31.
about what they say is an astonishingly undemocratic move by | :07:32. | :07:36.
the Government. They've started a new campaign group called The | :07:37. | :07:39.
Cumbria Trust, to try to stop any future nuclear waste repository in | :07:40. | :07:44.
the county. They believe its geology is unsuitable. But the new campaign | :07:45. | :07:49.
hasn't gone down well with the local MP. It's the same old faces with the | :07:50. | :07:55.
same old mistruths. Any campaign against the presence of radioactive | :07:56. | :07:58.
materials and nuclear waste in West Cumbria is a very curious one, given | :07:59. | :08:01.
that 75% of those materials nationally are already there. We | :08:02. | :08:11.
argued very strongly for much greater investment in Sellafield | :08:12. | :08:15.
than the other two. I would remind you that not so long ago the | :08:16. | :08:19.
chairman of the PAC said there is an intolerable risk to people and the | :08:20. | :08:29.
environment. That's here in Cumbria. That's why we want greater | :08:30. | :08:32.
investment in Sellafield. Not less. We are not anti`nuclear. The idea of | :08:33. | :08:37.
burying nuclear waste somewhere under Cumbria appals and appeals in | :08:38. | :08:41.
equal measure. But any decision isn't likely to be made for decades. | :08:42. | :08:51.
Bomb disposal engineers have been searching a house in County Durham | :08:52. | :08:54.
following a firearms incident there yesterday. A 27`year`old man was | :08:55. | :08:57.
arrested at the address in Fulforth Way in Sacriston. He was detained on | :08:58. | :09:03.
suspicion of making threats to kill. Durham Police called in the Bomb | :09:04. | :09:06.
Disposal Unit from Catterick Garrison after officers became | :09:07. | :09:08.
concerned following an initial search of the house. | :09:09. | :09:15.
Campaigners trying to save the Futurist Theatre in Scarborough have | :09:16. | :09:17.
collected 4,000 signatures on a petition, but that might not be | :09:18. | :09:21.
enough to save it. The 92`year`old building, which sits on the | :09:22. | :09:24.
seafront, has hosted some of the biggest names in entertainment ` | :09:25. | :09:27.
including The Beatles. Scarborough Borough Council says it can no | :09:28. | :09:31.
longer afford to run it. Supporters of the theatre say the town can't | :09:32. | :09:40.
afford to be without it. The Futurist has stirred emotions in | :09:41. | :09:44.
Scarborough. Talk of its closure has seen a fierce campaign, with | :09:45. | :09:47.
protestors today handing the council a petition signed by 4,000 people. | :09:48. | :09:54.
They hope it will persuade the authority to keep The Futurist open, | :09:55. | :10:00.
and invest in its long`term future. We don't have a lot in this town, | :10:01. | :10:04.
and the good things we did have are slowly disappearing. The visiting | :10:05. | :10:07.
productions coming in would be settling for second best, when they | :10:08. | :10:10.
already had the best, and it was closed down! Scarborough without | :10:11. | :10:14.
it... I don't know... It could become another block of flats. It | :10:15. | :10:19.
can't happen. The theatre, on Scarborough's seafront, has played | :10:20. | :10:22.
host to some of the biggest names in showbusiness. Even The Beatles have | :10:23. | :10:27.
played here. Today, though, the council ` who own the building ` say | :10:28. | :10:32.
it's no longer viable. It needs ?7 million spending. Investment which | :10:33. | :10:35.
the council leader told protestors was difficult to justify. We've had | :10:36. | :10:42.
people from far away getting in touch, because The Futurist is close | :10:43. | :10:47.
to the hearts of many people. But there is an issue for the council. | :10:48. | :10:51.
That's sustainability. But I definitely understand where you're | :10:52. | :10:54.
coming from. Scarborough Council says it will consider the petition | :10:55. | :10:58.
carefully. But to make it official, and force a council debate, the | :10:59. | :11:03.
campaigners need 5,000 signatures. All from people living in | :11:04. | :11:07.
Scarborough. At the moment, they don't have that, but say they'll be | :11:08. | :11:11.
working hard to achieve it before the end of the year. | :11:12. | :11:21.
A botanical garden in Newcastle, which has been open for 90 years, is | :11:22. | :11:26.
set to close its doors at the end of this month unless a large amount of | :11:27. | :11:30.
money can be found. Moorbank Botanic Gardens has been leased by Newcastle | :11:31. | :11:33.
University for many years, but they're now pulling out for good. A | :11:34. | :11:38.
friends group has been set up to try to keep the gardens open, but the | :11:39. | :11:42.
landlords ` the Freemen of Newcastle ` say the site has too many | :11:43. | :11:45.
problems, which will cost hundreds of thousands to repair. It's like | :11:46. | :11:54.
Jurassic Park here... You've probably never been here. Moorbank | :11:55. | :11:58.
Botanic Gardens has existed to serve the studentry of Newcastle | :11:59. | :12:01.
University, which pays the rent, and only seldom opens its doors to the | :12:02. | :12:05.
people. But the University has no further need for Moorbank. And | :12:06. | :12:13.
volunteers like Dan Gerrard are facing a future without their | :12:14. | :12:16.
beloved plants. ?? YELLOW The legacy has been going for 90 years. We | :12:17. | :12:20.
would feel devastated if it was ended. The Friends of Moorbank has | :12:21. | :12:28.
been set up to try and keep the gardens open. It claims it will cost | :12:29. | :12:31.
around ?120,000 over the next 15 years. We identified the fact that | :12:32. | :12:37.
we needed a partner to help us. They came in to see if they could take | :12:38. | :12:45.
over the running. They were keen so we arranged a meeting with the | :12:46. | :12:50.
Freemen. But in July, it was made clear that the Freemen didn't want | :12:51. | :12:54.
to have a tenant. But this is where the Friends and the Freemen | :12:55. | :12:58.
disagree. This is a nice facility, but it does require a reality check. | :12:59. | :13:03.
At the end of this month, the Freemen will take the keys, and they | :13:04. | :13:07.
will survey the structures and the land... They'll see what can be | :13:08. | :13:15.
done. Are you not worried that the Freemen are being perceived as the | :13:16. | :13:19.
bad people? ?? GREEN Let's wait until the end of the month. We're | :13:20. | :13:24.
looking at more than ?1 million. If you've never been here before ` as I | :13:25. | :13:28.
hadn't before today ` then you can't fail to be impressed by the place. | :13:29. | :13:31.
It's interesting. There's nothing like it nearby. But you don't have | :13:32. | :13:38.
to look too hard to see that a great deal of money needs to be spent. | :13:39. | :13:42.
We'll find out what the future holds for the gardens at the end of this | :13:43. | :13:53.
month. Coming up soon, Dawn will be joining | :13:54. | :13:56.
me for Monday's Team Talk. And Paul Mooney is ready for launch. The 2014 | :13:57. | :14:09.
calendar is on sale. And I'll have the forecast. | :14:10. | :14:17.
Now, they're the soldiers of the future. 16 and 17`year`olds, | :14:18. | :14:21.
training for a military career at the Army Foundation College at | :14:22. | :14:24.
Harrogate in North Yorkshire. For the past six weeks, they've been | :14:25. | :14:27.
getting to grips with living away from home ` then their relatives | :14:28. | :14:31.
were invited in for a family day, to see how the youngsters are coping. | :14:32. | :14:34.
Kate Bradbrook was given exclusive access to the event. They may only | :14:35. | :14:44.
be 16 and 17, but they'll soon be serving their country. These new | :14:45. | :14:48.
recruits are just six weeks into their military training here in | :14:49. | :14:50.
Harrogate, and haven't seen their families since they started. I think | :14:51. | :14:58.
it's great. It's really good for them. It teaches them lots of life | :14:59. | :15:04.
skills. It's a good job. The drills have been the best so far. It's | :15:05. | :15:09.
great to have your family involved. It's funny, especially with my | :15:10. | :15:12.
little brother! He's a little shy, but he's doing all right! Parents | :15:13. | :15:17.
and grandparents were also taught survival techniques by the junior | :15:18. | :15:20.
soldiers, and also got to sample a not`so`enjoyable part of army life. | :15:21. | :15:27.
Ration packs. Eaten during training exercises. We've been here for six | :15:28. | :15:34.
weeks. We've been away from civilian life for ages. It's weird. It's been | :15:35. | :15:38.
strange seeing civilians again, and having random people in my room! But | :15:39. | :15:43.
it's been fun. And speaking of rooms... This is my locker, mum. | :15:44. | :15:50.
This is my drill kit. I was really looking forward to coming down. I've | :15:51. | :15:55.
not seen him for six weeks. Having him text you is really nice, but I | :15:56. | :16:00.
couldn't wait to come down and see him. The recruits are also learning | :16:01. | :16:05.
how to handle weapons. Something they'll get much more practice of in | :16:06. | :16:10.
the coming months. But their training isn't all about the | :16:11. | :16:13.
military. At the same time, they're continuing their education in | :16:14. | :16:20.
numeracy and literacy. In the next few years, they'll become | :16:21. | :16:23.
fully`fledged soldiers. Using the skills they learned right here in | :16:24. | :16:33.
Yorkshire. Good luck to them! And Dawn's | :16:34. | :16:37.
reporting for duty now ` just in time for Team Talk. | :16:38. | :16:45.
Only one place to start and that's with the Premier League's surprise | :16:46. | :16:48.
result of the weekend ` Newcastle's 2`0 victory over Chelsea. Jose | :16:49. | :16:52.
Mourinho's side came to Tyneside on the back of six straight wins, while | :16:53. | :16:56.
the Magpies still had the memory of their derby defeat to Sunderland | :16:57. | :17:01.
fresh in their minds. Yes, I don't think anyone would have predicted | :17:02. | :17:03.
Saturday's result, although St James' Park seems to be a bit of a | :17:04. | :17:07.
bogey ground for Jose, who surprisingly has never won there! | :17:08. | :17:11.
Poor first half from both sides ` Alan Pardew said it was the worst | :17:12. | :17:14.
he's seen Newcastle play this season ` and they certainly struggled to | :17:15. | :17:18.
hang onto the ball. Half the team had played 120 minutes against Man | :17:19. | :17:23.
City in the cup. Chelsea weren't on top form themselves, but John Terry | :17:24. | :17:27.
had a couple of chances which crucially Newcastle kept out. It was | :17:28. | :17:31.
a different story after the break. Yes, as Newcastle upped the tempo | :17:32. | :17:35.
and created chances the atmosphere in the ground started to build as | :17:36. | :17:38.
fans sensed a goal coming. Alan Pardew sensed it too, and is this | :17:39. | :17:43.
managerial brilliance? A word in Yohan Cababye's ear, and moments | :17:44. | :17:46.
later a perfect free kick which Yoan Gouffran stuck in the net. Pardew | :17:47. | :17:49.
probably deserved an assist for that! He certainly beat Mourinho in | :17:50. | :17:53.
the tactical battle. The 'Special One' didn't look too happy ` I | :17:54. | :17:57.
suppose it's a look that suits him, though! And he was even unhappier in | :17:58. | :18:00.
the 89th minute, when some great play by Vernon Anita set up Loic | :18:01. | :18:05.
Remy to score his sixth goal of the season ` the striker running over to | :18:06. | :18:08.
celebrate with a little boy in a wheelchair. It takes the Magpies up | :18:09. | :18:12.
to ninth. And Pardew's taking no credit for the first goal, by the | :18:13. | :18:16.
way! He's got a brilliant shape when he shoots. I told him to whip it in. | :18:17. | :18:21.
He still had to execute it, though, so I don't think I'll get the | :18:22. | :18:26.
assist! He hit it perfectly. It dipped at the right time. Gouffran | :18:27. | :18:30.
is brave enough to put his head on it. It gave us a springboard for a | :18:31. | :18:35.
fabulous day. For all of the staff, all of the fans, and our owner... | :18:36. | :18:39.
We've had a bit of stick. It's nice that we'll all have a spring in our | :18:40. | :18:46.
step, across the city. That's not a feeling shared on Wearside, I | :18:47. | :18:50.
wouldn't think. Having just picked up their first league win of the | :18:51. | :18:54.
season, they just had to build on that, as they went to Hull. But it | :18:55. | :18:58.
was one of those days when just about everything that could go | :18:59. | :19:04.
wrong, did go wrong! There was an ongoing. Even worse than that, this | :19:05. | :19:22.
challenge. It looked a sore one. And this was a no bad challenge. A lot | :19:23. | :19:37.
of red cards. This was even worse. Ambitious foul. The nine men nearly | :19:38. | :19:49.
salvaged a point, with this shot, but it wasn't to be. I have to say | :19:50. | :20:00.
that I'm still very proud of the players. What they did in the second | :20:01. | :20:04.
half... It was probably our best 45 minutes so far. We were in the game | :20:05. | :20:08.
all the time. Vito Mannone was excellent in goal. We needed a few | :20:09. | :20:12.
saves from him. But the rest of the guys did exactly what we talked | :20:13. | :20:16.
about. It's like a clean sheet for me. It's almost like we played a | :20:17. | :20:20.
game of 45 minutes, and kept a clean sheet. Like Sunderland, | :20:21. | :20:23.
Middlesbrough couldn't build on a hugely encouraging result last | :20:24. | :20:26.
weekend. No, they couldn't, although it took a great goal from Blackburn | :20:27. | :20:30.
to spoil Mark Venus' second match in caretaker charge. He came back down | :20:31. | :20:33.
to earth with a bump, although both sides had their chances to take the | :20:34. | :20:37.
lead. Jason Steele at his best to deny Alan Judge. Then Kei Kamara's | :20:38. | :20:41.
header was scrambled away. It was this piledriver, though, from | :20:42. | :20:43.
Blackburn's Jason Lowe, which won it. Pretty good. But no away wins in | :20:44. | :20:50.
the last six for Boro ` just four points above the drop zone. And | :20:51. | :20:53.
defender Justin Hoyte's off to Millwall on loan. There was just one | :20:54. | :20:57.
goal in the rain at Gillingham, where the home side were awarded a | :20:58. | :21:00.
penalty after Carlisle's Danny Livesey felled Danny Hollands. A | :21:01. | :21:03.
third Danny ` Kedwell ` scored from the spot. Both sides finished with | :21:04. | :21:07.
ten men ` Carlisle striker Lee Miller saw red for an off`the`ball | :21:08. | :21:10.
incident. Later, Leon Legge received a second yellow card. German utility | :21:11. | :21:16.
player Max Ehmer today joined the Cumbrians on loan from QPR. At | :21:17. | :21:19.
Victoria Park, Hartlepool earned their fifth win in six games. James | :21:20. | :21:24.
Poole gave Pools the lead. Zavon Hines grabbed the equaliser for | :21:25. | :21:27.
Dagenham Redbridge but Neil Austin's saving tackle denied him a | :21:28. | :21:33.
second. And it was the home side who found the winner with Andy Monkhouse | :21:34. | :21:37.
nodding in. York City twice came from behind to earn a draw at | :21:38. | :21:42.
Cheltenham. Ryan Bowman scored the Minstermen's first equaliser. And | :21:43. | :21:45.
then, after this free`kick curled into the net ` and the referee | :21:46. | :21:49.
over`ruled an offside flag ` it was left to Bowman to pounce on a | :21:50. | :21:53.
defensive mix`up and give York the point that manager Nigel Worthington | :21:54. | :21:58.
thought they deserved. In Rugby Union, Newcastle Falcons lost | :21:59. | :22:00.
heavily to Premiership leaders Saracens. Phil Godman kicked the | :22:01. | 2:54:11
Falcons into an initial lead but it proved to be their only score of the | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
game as a dominant Saracens side, even without six internationals, ran | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
in five tries to claim a bonus point victory at Allianz Park. And in the | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
Rugby League World Cup, there was a thrilling end to the second of two | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
matches hosted by Workington at Derwent Park. With the Italians in | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
the lead, Scotland's Ben Hellewell rounded off a sublime team move to | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
make it 30`30 and set up a clash with the USA on Thursday. The | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
support we've had in West Cumbria has been unbelievable. So we'd like | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
to thank everybody in West Cumbria. Sensational effort from our lads. | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
We've won another great game. Nice to end the sport on a happy | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
note tonight. Ricky Ashworth, the captain of Berwick Bandits speedway | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
team, has woken up from a coma after 91 days. He's been in hospital since | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
a crash at Scunthorpe on August second, and will now undergo | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
intensive rehabilitation and physiotherapy. Great news, and we | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
all wish him well in his recovery! Thanks Dawn. Now, the moment has | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
come to join Paul Mooney ` but not for the weather just yet. Paul, | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
momentous news you have for us? It comes around quickly. It is time to | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
launch the new calendar. We have been doing this for ten years and | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
that is as popular as ever. It raises thousands of pounds for | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
children in need. Let's take a closer look. It features great | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
pictures from our viewers. No price increase. If you want to get your | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
hands on one, you can use your credit or debit card. They are ?6 | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
each. The weather. Tomorrow evening, the | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
will be showers. It will be drier and clearer in the East. But there | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
will also be gusty winds. Today, after the frost, we had largely | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
clear skies and sunny spells through the day. It is going to be another | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
chilly night. That is not a lot of cloud around. A touch of frost as | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
well. The cloud begins to thicken up. By the end of the night, | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
temperatures will have listed `` lifted above freezing. The south | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
westerly breeze is beginning to pick up. Although most places start off | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
dry, that cloud and rain will spread eastwards through the course of the | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
morning and into the afternoon. It leaves us with the mix of sunny | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
spells and scattered showers. Most of the sunny spells will be East, | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
and most of the shows will be in the West. Temperatures struggle a little | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
bit. Nine Celsius best. A gusty wind as well. That takes us into the | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
evening. Most places will be dry tomorrow evening, if you are going | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
out to see any fireworks. Watch out for the gusty westerly wind. That is | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
the pattern for tomorrow. Over the next few days, the persistent rain | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
stays to the south. The westerly wind continues. If you're out and | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
about, expect a few heavy showers on and off. Temperatures are into | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
double figures. Fairly windy as well. It should stay largely frost | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
free. The will be some decent sunny spells. It could be a little bit | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
cooler overnight, and the temperatures could struggle a little | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
bit through the day. Single figures on the cards. Keep up to date with | 2:54:12 | 2:54:11
