Jade Gadd suffers from a rare condition that means | :00:08. | :00:09.
she's often paralysed, but because alterations to her home | :00:10. | :00:11.
Right now I'd really like to be able to get in and out of my house | :00:12. | :00:22.
without risking my family's help every time. | :00:23. | :00:26.
Teesside boy Finley Ingles is undergoing life-changing brain | :00:27. | :00:30.
The growing number of elderly people heading into retirement in debt, | :00:31. | :00:39.
with many worried they'll never be able to pay it back. | :00:40. | :00:46.
And joy for Fester, the homeless boxer, blind in one eye | :00:47. | :00:48.
and with a protruding lower jaw, who finally gets a new home. | :00:49. | :00:53.
In sport, can Middlesbrough avoid a giant-killing and take another | :00:54. | :00:55.
step towards a first Wembley final for 20 years? | :00:56. | :00:57.
And it's no laughing matter when your favourite football club's | :00:58. | :01:00.
fighting for survival, even when you're the TV comedy star | :01:01. | :01:02.
Jade Gadd is meant to be enjoying her teenage years | :01:03. | :01:21.
but instead she's trapped in her bedroom. | :01:22. | :01:24.
The 16-year-old from Durham has been diagnosed with a rare genetic | :01:25. | :01:27.
condition, one that attacks every part of her body. | :01:28. | :01:30.
Despite this, Jade wants to be able to leave the house, | :01:31. | :01:33.
For three years her family has battled for alterations | :01:34. | :01:37.
to their home in order to make that possible. | :01:38. | :01:40.
Our health reporter, Sharon Barbour, has this exclusive report. | :01:41. | :01:46.
I would have to use a wheelchair and then I would go to my stairlift and | :01:47. | :02:05.
I can not use that while I am spasming so I get stuck. | :02:06. | :02:09.
Jade was an active, sporty girl. | :02:10. | :02:10.
But when she turned into a teenager, she began to show the devastating | :02:11. | :02:13.
symptoms of a rare genetic condition. | :02:14. | :02:18.
I am in constant pain everywhere. One doctor described it as all body | :02:19. | :02:29.
pain. What about the seizures? They come in waves. | :02:30. | :02:32.
As we filmed, Jade had numerous seizures. | :02:33. | :02:33.
She insisted we show them because she says this is what living | :02:34. | :02:36.
If Jade is well enough to go out, or if she needs to leave | :02:37. | :02:47.
the house to go to hospital, the journey is a perilous one. | :02:48. | :02:54.
She must get down a steep stairwell in the house and then the stairs | :02:55. | :03:02.
outside. And her joints are constantly painfully dislocating. | :03:03. | :03:09.
And it's help with these stairs, access to the house and around | :03:10. | :03:12.
the house that Jade's parents have been fighting for. | :03:13. | :03:14.
We have had three ambulance crews here before to move her when she is | :03:15. | :03:19.
having seizures and she has to have an appointment in hospital. | :03:20. | :03:21.
And it's taking a tremendous toll on the family. | :03:22. | :03:23.
Her father Tony, a former police officer, is now undergoing his his | :03:24. | :03:26.
Neither can work, all of their savings have gone. | :03:27. | :03:32.
If one of ours wasn't available or wasn't able to help, I don't know | :03:33. | :03:37.
what we would do. We wouldn't be able to cope. We always try to | :03:38. | :03:42.
remain very positive in our approach with things but it gets very hard. | :03:43. | :03:51.
Sometimes we have been kneeling on the floor next to her bed, one of us | :03:52. | :04:02.
trying to put different joints in. Because she is in so much pain it is | :04:03. | :04:06.
too much sometimes even think about, even eating is too much to think | :04:07. | :04:12.
about sometimes. It is very, very hard to keep going. | :04:13. | :04:16.
Durham County Council have told Look North... | :04:17. | :04:19.
"The nature of Jade's complex condition has made it difficult | :04:20. | :04:21.
to ascertain exactly what changes are required to make | :04:22. | :04:23.
However, recommendations have now been made and the maximum grant | :04:24. | :04:29.
We have offered support to the family to source | :04:30. | :04:32.
They say it amounts to a loan which they cannot afford. | :04:33. | :04:52.
It's a ground-breaking operation which could change his life. | :04:53. | :04:54.
And this evening, five-year-old Finley Ingles from Middlesbrough | :04:55. | :04:56.
is undergoing that surgery in America to treat | :04:57. | :04:58.
The youngster suffers up to 15 seizures a day but his condition | :04:59. | :05:06.
cannot be treated in this country because the tumour is too deep. | :05:07. | :05:09.
So a campaign was set up and ?200,000 was raised to send | :05:10. | :05:12.
Stuart Whincup is at the hospital in Houston and has | :05:13. | :05:17.
Well, this is the day that Finley's parents desperately hoped | :05:18. | :05:29.
He currently suffers up to 15 seizures in a single day and, | :05:30. | :05:33.
for the last 3.5 years, he's tried many different forms | :05:34. | :05:36.
of treatment and drugs but nothing has worked. | :05:37. | :05:38.
That is why they have always seen this trip | :05:39. | :05:40.
to Houston, this operation, as their last chance. | :05:41. | :05:42.
They are also aware that this is a very difficult | :05:43. | :05:44.
They arrived at Texas Children's Hospital in the early | :05:45. | :05:50.
Before they went in, we had a quick word with Cara, Finley's mother. | :05:51. | :05:56.
I'm a whole host of emotions rolled into one. | :05:57. | :06:00.
I'm just praying that it's everything that | :06:01. | :06:03.
He's excited to be at the hospital, believe it or not. | :06:04. | :06:13.
Everything that we've hoped and dreamed for since | :06:14. | :06:18.
we got his diagnosis, really, when he was 18 months old. | :06:19. | :06:21.
So, today's just a life changer for him. | :06:22. | :06:24.
Finley went into surgery at around three o'clock your time now. | :06:25. | :06:28.
His family said at the time when he went down he was happy and smiling. | :06:29. | :06:32.
For all that is happening, he just knows that doctors | :06:33. | :06:34.
here in America are going to try and make him feel better. | :06:35. | :06:38.
This procedure is being carried out by Daniel Curry, | :06:39. | :06:42.
the man who developed laser ablation surgery. | :06:43. | :06:45.
He is making a small hole in Finley's skull and, | :06:46. | :06:48.
using an MRI scan for guidance, he is directing a laser | :06:49. | :06:52.
at where the tumour is and the heat is used to destroy it. | :06:53. | :06:55.
The operation is expected to take around six hours but it is thought | :06:56. | :06:58.
it will be sometime tomorrow before we get the first indication of how | :06:59. | :07:06.
And we'll have an update on Finley's condition | :07:07. | :07:12.
A man is in a critical condition in hospital after he was found | :07:13. | :07:24.
on a riverside path under York's Lendal Bridge. | :07:25. | :07:25.
The man 25-year-old from London was found at the bottom of steps | :07:26. | :07:28.
on Dame Judi Dench Walk early this morning. | :07:29. | :07:30.
Sunderland Aquatic Centre will close for up to nine months next year | :07:31. | :07:33.
The City Council says the work's needed to deal with leaks | :07:34. | :07:38.

Building work on a new ?2 billion potash mine in North Yorkshire | :07:44. | :07:53.
Sirius Minerals, the company behind the project, is currently | :07:54. | :07:57.

Council tax in Cumbria is going up by just under 4% from April. | :08:02. | :08:05.
The rise is made up of a general increase of a fraction under 2%, | :08:06. | :08:09.
plus a precept for Adult Social Care of a further 2%. | :08:10. | :08:16.
A lorry driver from Darlington has appeared in court, | :08:17. | :08:18.
accused of bringing down a bridge on the M20 in Kent by | :08:19. | :08:21.
Alan Austen is also charged with criminal damage, | :08:22. | :08:24.
A first appearance in court for Alan Austen. | :08:25. | :08:30.
The magistrates' heard he was driving a lorry | :08:31. | :08:36.
with a trailer, loaded with a dumper truck and an excavator when he hit | :08:37. | :08:39.
the pedestrian bridge, causing it to come down | :08:40. | :08:41.
It caused ?1.5 million of damage to the bridge and more | :08:42. | :08:45.
than ?150,000 to the equipment, and travel chaos over the August | :08:46. | :08:47.
Mr Austen did not enter a plea to charges of dangerous driving, | :08:48. | :08:54.
causing serious injury and criminal damage. | :08:55. | :08:59.
This was a brief court appearance lasting for just a few minutes. | :09:00. | :09:02.
Magistrates decided because of the seriousness of the charges, | :09:03. | :09:05.
the case should be sent to the Crown Court and that | :09:06. | :09:08.
hearing will take place on the 17th of March. | :09:09. | :09:11.
A motorcyclist who suffered three broken ribs in the aftermath | :09:12. | :09:13.
of the bridge collapse spoke about what had happened | :09:14. | :09:16.
The bridge was sort of coming down, almost like in slow motion to start | :09:17. | :09:23.
with because it's eating its way through the lorry | :09:24. | :09:25.
But then it tore away from the other side. | :09:26. | :09:30.
As that came down, it was a matter of throw the bike | :09:31. | :09:33.
The motorway was shut for more than 24 hours. | :09:34. | :09:45.
What remained of the bridge has been demolished. | :09:46. | :09:50.
Now, we're told retirement is a time when you can enjoy the benefit | :09:51. | :09:53.
of your savings and look forward to a life free from debt, | :09:54. | :09:56.
But it seems more and more of us are finishing work without having | :09:57. | :10:00.
paid off the mortgage or credit cards. | :10:01. | :10:01.
Financial experts reckon many people fear they'll never be able | :10:02. | :10:04.
Mark McAlindon has been speaking to pensioners in West Cumbria. | :10:05. | :10:11.
At this lunch club in Egremont near Whitehaven, pensioners enjoy | :10:12. | :10:13.
Ray Bamford is a regular and understands the problems | :10:14. | :10:17.
Nowadays it is either eat or go cold. | :10:18. | :10:22.
And a lot of old folk are going down that road. | :10:23. | :10:30.
On Fridays, volunteers from the local credit union pop | :10:31. | :10:32.
in to help some save and plan for days ahead. | :10:33. | :10:36.
But Age UK staff say this part of the country is hard pressed. | :10:37. | :10:39.
People struggle and often don't know what they're entitled to. | :10:40. | :10:43.
A lot of people who we see have long-term health | :10:44. | :10:48.
They are not aware of benefits which might be able to help them | :10:49. | :10:52.
to live independently, so our job really is to speak | :10:53. | :10:58.
to them about that and make them aware of the help that is available | :10:59. | :11:02.
so that they have the means to look after themselves and it is not | :11:03. | :11:05.
According to the Prudential, 25% of people planning to retire | :11:06. | :11:12.
in 2017 expect to do so still in debt. | :11:13. | :11:16.
Of that figure, around 40% expect still to owe | :11:17. | :11:19.
Here in West Cumbria, Age UK says it has handled 8000 | :11:20. | :11:26.
enquiries about the debt alone in the last year, and | :11:27. | :11:28.
For many pensioners across the country, | :11:29. | :11:33.
incomes may have risen, retirement become comfortable, | :11:34. | :11:35.
I don't think so, because people have bailed out their children. | :11:36. | :11:43.
The changes in state retirement pension means that people | :11:44. | :11:45.
Sometimes that is not a bad thing if it is for social inclusion | :11:46. | :11:53.
but for a lot of people it is to make ends meet, | :11:54. | :11:56.
it is to pay the mortgage, the debts on the credit card. | :11:57. | :11:59.
The report by the Prudential suggests that those facing | :12:00. | :12:01.
retirement and worried about debt contact organisations such | :12:02. | :12:03.

Plus, concerns for wildlife over a planned expansion of a holiday | :12:20. | :12:25.
And the school using dams and storytelling to teach Indian culture | :12:26. | :12:30.
and history. And it will be a mild weekend but a | :12:31. | :12:35.
fair amount of cloud in the forecast. Join me later for the full | :12:36. | :12:36.
forecast. Opponents of a planned expansion | :12:37. | :12:39.
of a holiday village in North Yorkshire say it'll | :12:40. | :12:42.
threaten a local wildlife haven. The owners of Raithwaite Hall | :12:43. | :12:45.
near Whitby are hoping to develop a site nearby, | :12:46. | :12:48.
building 200 holiday homes But the Woodland Trust says it | :12:49. | :12:50.
could adversely affect wildlife and spoil the woods, | :12:51. | :12:55.
as Phil Chapman reports. To the objectors, it's | :12:56. | :13:02.
an irreplaceable ancient woodland To the developer, it's a partly | :13:03. | :13:04.
forgotten woodland that they say could be sensitively developed | :13:05. | :13:10.
to boost tourism for the community and for Yorkshire | :13:11. | :13:12.
and the north-east. We are walking further | :13:13. | :13:16.
into the ancient woodland now, where some of the lodges will be | :13:17. | :13:19.
located, and you can see quite clearly how it's easy to put | :13:20. | :13:22.
the piles in between the trees and thus there will be none | :13:23. | :13:25.
of these trees destroyed. In fact, the whole of the management | :13:26. | :13:29.
programme will be to improve the way the whole of the ancient woodland | :13:30. | :13:32.
on the estate is handled. The Woodland Trust and some local | :13:33. | :13:38.
objectors think the wood should be Don't get me wrong, I think it's | :13:39. | :13:41.
a great idea to bring I don't think it's a bad | :13:42. | :13:46.
idea, I just think it's We've got Dalby Forest, | :13:47. | :13:50.
which is an evergreen I mean, we often compare it | :13:51. | :13:55.
to being nature's cathedrals, so it is beautiful, it's tranquil, | :13:56. | :14:05.
it's very much irreplaceable, it's You'd think we were destroying | :14:06. | :14:10.
the whole of the woodland. Of the objectors that we have had | :14:11. | :14:16.
from the Woodland Trust, many of them, most of them in fact, | :14:17. | :14:19.
are not from this area. After taking in all the differing | :14:20. | :14:25.
views during the consultation period, Scarborough Borough Council | :14:26. | :14:27.
will be weighing up the pros and cons of this potential woodland | :14:28. | :14:30.
development before making a decision A new generation has been | :14:31. | :14:32.
learning about the history Children from Braeburn School | :14:33. | :14:45.
in Scarborough met the Annapurna Indian Dance Company in a project | :14:46. | :14:50.
organised by the Stephen The aim is to bring Eastern | :14:51. | :14:53.
culture to the east coast, Connecting cultures with dance. Here | :14:54. | :15:12.
at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough, these children get a | :15:13. | :15:15.
first taste of Indian dramatic traditions. The theatre has brought | :15:16. | :15:21.
in the Annapurna Indian Dance Company to give local children on | :15:22. | :15:23.
the east Coast experience of the culture they may not have | :15:24. | :15:28.
encountered before. There is such excitement in sharing our rich | :15:29. | :15:31.
stories with a whole new generation so they grow up in this | :15:32. | :15:36.
multicultural Britain. It is all part of a new and expanded programme | :15:37. | :15:40.
of education here at the Stephen Joseph Theatre. The funding has come | :15:41. | :15:46.
from the local authority and the Arts Council. It is called the | :15:47. | :15:50.
Scarborough Pledge and it aims to widen access. Annapurna Indian Dance | :15:51. | :15:58.
Company are based in West Yorkshire. On the East Coast levels of | :15:59. | :16:04.
integration are lower. It didn't stop these children having a go. It | :16:05. | :16:09.
is exciting to learn. I think it is amazing because I like the way that | :16:10. | :16:15.
the dancers have lots of colours. The monkey was weird. We have been | :16:16. | :16:23.
learning about different cultures, looking at traditional tales at | :16:24. | :16:26.
school and for them to come here and actively join in, and the dancing, | :16:27. | :16:30.
it is lovely to see them all involved and it has been a fantastic | :16:31. | :16:35.
day. Dramatic arts from distant shores bringing a new perspective | :16:36. | :16:36.
for a new generation. Fantastic. I was taught and Indian | :16:37. | :16:49.
dance once. Changing a light bulb. We just did country dancing at | :16:50. | :16:50.
school. Definitely not exotic. Well we're down to just one survivor | :16:51. | :16:54.
in this season's FA Cup. Middlesbrough fly the flag | :16:55. | :16:57.
for the region with a home tie against League One Oxford, | :16:58. | :17:00.
who knocked Newcastle out At stake for Boro | :17:01. | :17:02.
a first quarterfinal Boro head coach Aitor Karanka | :17:03. | :17:04.
insists he won't even think about the crunch Premier League game | :17:05. | :17:10.
at Crystal Palace in eight days' That said, you would expect him | :17:11. | :17:13.
to rotate his squad and rest some key players without wanting to give | :17:14. | :17:17.
visitors Oxford too much of a chance to progress | :17:18. | :17:20.
at the Teessiders' expense. My second season here was Man City | :17:21. | :17:23.
and Arsenal and this one has been Accrington and Sheffield and now | :17:24. | :17:27.
Oxford but again we have to be really, really careful | :17:28. | :17:31.
because it is going to be a tough, tough game, especially | :17:32. | :17:34.
if we don't go with the right The Spaniard's warning | :17:35. | :17:36.
to his players is that Oxford, who knocked out an under-strength | :17:37. | :17:42.
Newcastle, and will be cheered on by up to three and half thousand | :17:43. | :17:45.
fans at the Riverside must We had problems against Accrington | :17:46. | :17:48.
and our opponent beat Newcastle 3-0. When you analyse them, | :17:49. | :17:54.
you can feel that it wasn't a coincidence, | :17:55. | :17:57.
what they did to Newcastle, because they had players | :17:58. | :18:01.
who scored really good goals, they play good counterattacks, | :18:02. | :18:04.
so we have to now it has We know how difficult | :18:05. | :18:07.
a task it is going to be. A side that did ever so well | :18:08. | :18:16.
in the championship last year under Aitor Karanka and we know | :18:17. | :18:21.
the quality they have got, we know what to expect, | :18:22. | :18:25.
we just hope they have a poor day Premier League survival's | :18:26. | :18:28.
the priority but a kind draw has seen Boro edge towards Wembley 20 | :18:29. | :18:33.
years after their only FA In League Two, third-placed | :18:34. | :18:36.
Carlisle United are looking to build on their midweek win over leaders | :18:37. | :18:44.
Doncaster when they travel to Wycombe Wanderers, | :18:45. | :18:46.
who've lost their last two games. And BBC Tees DAB will have | :18:47. | :18:50.
Hartlepool's clash with Pools now just two points | :18:51. | :18:54.
above the relegation zone. Newcastle United don't | :18:55. | :19:02.
play until Monday night This was a Premier League | :19:03. | :19:04.
fixture last season but, while Newcastle are in pole position | :19:05. | :19:08.
in the Championship, In the reverse fixture in September, | :19:09. | :19:10.
Villa under Roberto di Matteo scored an own goal before equalising late | :19:11. | :19:16.
on as the sides were forced Jack Colback, who played under | :19:17. | :19:19.
The Villans' current manager Steve Bruce at Sunderland, | :19:20. | :19:25.
says Villa's position shows how Both clubs, I think, | :19:26. | :19:29.
obviously, devastating really Two massive clubs | :19:30. | :19:33.
with a huge fan base. Obviously they are not quite doing | :19:34. | :19:41.
as well as they should We have dealt with it better and it | :19:42. | :19:44.
should make for a good game. It's the second oldest competition | :19:45. | :19:51.
of its kind in the world, But the Northern League | :19:52. | :19:53.
is in danger of seeing another Earlier this season, | :19:54. | :19:58.
Norton and Stockton Ancients resigned from the League, | :19:59. | :20:02.
in the face of dwindling And, as Jeff found out, as far | :20:03. | :20:04.
as their president's concerned, He put Hebburn on the national | :20:05. | :20:11.
and international map with a BBC But what you might not know | :20:12. | :20:18.
about Tyneside comedian and writer Jason Cook is that he's also heavily | :20:19. | :20:24.
involved with the town's Though not, he admits, | :20:25. | :20:27.
on the playing side. I'm a very good spectator, | :20:28. | :20:31.
I'm a very skilled spectator, I could do spectating at probably | :20:32. | :20:34.
league level, to be honest. I am life president | :20:35. | :20:37.
for Hebburn Town Football Club. Much like President Trump, | :20:38. | :20:43.
I am in a controversial Worrying times too for a club | :20:44. | :20:45.
which has been around The simple fact is it's | :20:46. | :20:51.
dying from neglect. Despite a successful youth section, | :20:52. | :20:54.
the senior side is struggling We're getting 20, 30 at the moment, | :20:55. | :20:57.
at a good gate and all. So, from a couple of hundred | :20:58. | :21:03.
a couple of year ago, Unless people come through the gate, | :21:04. | :21:07.
we just can't continue. Fixture clashes with | :21:08. | :21:12.
Newcastle United, Premier League football beamed live into pubs | :21:13. | :21:15.
and the success of neighbours South Shields have all contributed | :21:16. | :21:17.
to the drain on numbers. There's 300 businesses in Hebburn, | :21:18. | :21:20.
if just a small percentage were to sponsor the team in a small | :21:21. | :21:29.
way, that would be And Jason is planning a comedy | :21:30. | :21:32.
fundraising night in September called "Let's All Laugh At Hebburn" | :21:33. | :21:38.
in a nice way. Hebburn does mean an awful lot | :21:39. | :21:42.
to you, the town itself? Oh, yeah, I was born | :21:43. | :21:45.
here, I was raised here, I've just been to see my mam, | :21:46. | :21:48.
she only lives not far from there. It's Hebburn and to watch | :21:49. | :21:52.
bits of its closing down and crumbling is really, | :21:53. | :21:59.
really heartbreaking for us because this is one of the hearts | :22:00. | :22:01.
of our community and I think we need And tomorrow, Hebburn's | :22:02. | :22:05.
neighbours, South Shields, are at home to Newport Pagnell | :22:06. | :22:11.
in the quarterfinals of the FA Vase. Now to cooler climes and it's | :22:12. | :22:14.
a tough transition from Junior Derwentside's Mica McNeil | :22:15. | :22:18.
and her brake woman They were recently crowned | :22:19. | :22:25.
World Junior Bobsleigh Champions. This afternoon though | :22:26. | :22:32.
they were competing in the senior women's event | :22:33. | :22:33.
at the World Championships But after two runs, they'll | :22:34. | :22:35.
begin Day Two tomorrow Finally good luck to our rugby | :22:36. | :22:39.
league clubs in their first competitive games of | :22:40. | :22:47.
the season on Sunday. The first pool matches | :22:48. | :22:49.
of the League One Cup give Whitehaven an early chance | :22:50. | :22:51.
for revenge over West Cumbrian neighbours Workington, | :22:52. | :22:53.
winners of the pre-season Following their winter takeover | :22:54. | :22:55.
York City Knights host North Wales Crusaders | :22:56. | :23:02.
at Bootham Crescent and Newcastle Now, you may remember last | :23:03. | :23:04.
month we told you about Abandoned, blind in one eye | :23:05. | :23:12.
and with a protruding jaw. But, after he featured | :23:13. | :23:20.
on Look North, the shelter where he was staying was overwhelmed | :23:21. | :23:23.
with requests to re-home him. And this afternoon, he left | :23:24. | :23:25.
with his new owners. It is easy to look at Fester, | :23:26. | :23:27.
a dog who has had a sound thrashing with the ugly stick, | :23:28. | :23:42.
and conclude that only his mother But to his new owners, | :23:43. | :23:44.
Fester is quite the Bobby Dazzler. He bounces around, | :23:45. | :23:51.
he is so happy and loving He loves a good cuddle | :23:52. | :23:58.
so it's all very nice. Since Fester's first appearance | :23:59. | :24:05.
on Look North a month ago, the Dogs' Trust near Darlington has | :24:06. | :24:11.
been overwhelmed with people Once our first appeal went out | :24:12. | :24:13.
with yourselves, it was really good. We thank everyone who enquired, | :24:14. | :24:20.
everyone that came down and everyone that has adopted another dog | :24:21. | :24:23.
instead as well. So you were able to find | :24:24. | :24:27.
homes for other dogs? We managed to find some and we have | :24:28. | :24:30.
had a lot more visitors to the site He looks a bit like an extra | :24:31. | :24:35.
from Lord Of The Rings but when you meet Fester, | :24:36. | :24:40.
he is an excellent dog, He has found a home | :24:41. | :24:42.
but they are keen to stress here that there are about 100 other | :24:43. | :24:47.
dogs that need a home, although none of them are quite | :24:48. | :24:50.
as distinctive looking as him. I can hear people all over the | :24:51. | :25:09.
region going awww. Time for the weather. We have skipped spring and | :25:10. | :25:11.
gone straight to summer? It does feel like that. It has been | :25:12. | :25:20.
a bit of a cloudy day today. This was one of the pictures across the | :25:21. | :25:24.
Lake District earlier showing blue sky just trying to break through the | :25:25. | :25:29.
cloud, but it didn't quite do so. This weekend, the cloud will stick | :25:30. | :25:34.
around. A few outbreaks of light rain mostly on Saturday, and it is | :25:35. | :25:39.
going to be mild. This is a satellite which earlier. We can see | :25:40. | :25:43.
the cloud across the UK, of the north-east had sunshine for a time | :25:44. | :25:47.
this morning. Cloud is rolling and it will be with most of us through | :25:48. | :25:52.
the night. A few outbreaks of mostly white and patchy rain across | :25:53. | :25:56.
Cumbria, some clear spells as well and so we might see a touch of mist | :25:57. | :26:01.
and fog. Nothing too significant. A mild night. Tomorrow morning, parts | :26:02. | :26:09.
of the north-east will wake up to blue skies but it will not last long | :26:10. | :26:13.
as the cloud will roll in and we will see some outbreaks of rain | :26:14. | :26:16.
spreading the most parts through the afternoon, but fairly light and | :26:17. | :26:21.
patchy. This is 3pm. The rain will start to clear northern parts of | :26:22. | :26:26.
Cumbria and Northumberland. Temperatures around 10-11 by this | :26:27. | :26:31.
point. Much of the North East will be dry, a fair amount of cloud | :26:32. | :26:36.
around and quite able is as well. Through Saturday night into Sunday, | :26:37. | :26:40.
some further rain. Quite a cloudy picture. There is the rain coming | :26:41. | :26:47.
through on Sunday morning. A lot of cloud and a mild night. Sunday | :26:48. | :26:52.
morning looks like this. Starting on a damp note and then some blue skies | :26:53. | :26:58.
breaking through. Western parts of Cumbria are likely to stay cloudy | :26:59. | :27:03.
through Sunday afternoon and it will still be quite breezy but | :27:04. | :27:09.
temperatures fairly mild. 12 Celsius, 54 Fahrenheit in some | :27:10. | :27:16.
spots. For the start of next week, we see temperatures getting up to | :27:17. | :27:21.
13, feeling quite mild, but a lot of cloud and it will be quite windy. | :27:22. | :27:27.
Here is how things work for Cumbria over the weekend, some rain, a lot | :27:28. | :27:30.
of grey cloud at times, but the north-east is most favoured to see | :27:31. | :27:34.
some sunshine on Saturday and especially Sunday. | :27:35. | :27:37.
So you can do all the jobs, do the garden, wash the car. Whatever you | :27:38. | :27:44.
do, have a good one. See you on Monday. | :27:45. | :27:47. |
