Welcome to Thursday's Look North. Tonight, a vigil for Casey. | :00:10. | :00:14.
A woman is remanded in custody charged with her murder. Casey's | :00:14. | :00:20.
family remember their beautiful young girl. She was a lovely, | :00:20. | :00:24.
vibrant young girl who was just snatched away for no reason. Yes, | :00:24. | :00:30.
hundreds of people are lining the park here, Elmfield Park in | :00:30. | :00:35.
Doncaster to pay their respects to a young lady who tragedy lost her | :00:35. | :00:41.
life. Also tonight: taking his union to court - Arthur Scargill | :00:41. | :00:45.
goes into battle with the NUM over the payment of household bills. | :00:45. | :00:50.
And off the streets and into the recording studio - the busker who's | :00:50. | :00:54.
made it big. We sea early brightness today. This | :00:54. | :00:58.
was Leeds early this morning. Will the sun shine again tomorrow? I'll | :00:58. | :01:08.
:01:08. | :01:09. | ||
have the full forecast later in the Good evening. Thank you for joining | :01:09. | :01:11.
us. Our top story: "Beautiful, intelligent and bright" | :01:11. | :01:14.
- those are the words being used by the heartbroken parents of Casey- | :01:14. | :01:17.
Lyanne Kearney to describe their 13-year-old daughter who was | :01:17. | :01:20.
stabbed to death in Doncaster. The teenager was found in Elmfield Park | :01:20. | :01:26.
on Tuesday afternoon after dialling 999 for help. Today 26-year-old | :01:26. | :01:30.
Hannah Bonser has been remanded in custody charged with her murder. | :01:30. | :01:32.
Tonight the teenager's being remembered by friends and family at | :01:32. | :01:34.
a special candlelit vigil at Doncaster's cenotaph. Phil Bodmer | :01:34. | :01:44.
:01:44. | :01:48. | ||
is there. Well, Amy, hundreds of people, as | :01:48. | :01:51.
you say, here in Elmfield Park tonight, many holding candles to | :01:51. | :01:56.
remember a girl who was popular in this community and whose life was | :01:56. | :02:00.
so brutally cut down in this park just two days ago. Family and | :02:00. | :02:05.
friends laying flowers close to the spot where 13-year-old Casey-Lyanne | :02:05. | :02:08.
Kearney died on Tuesday. The teenager was found with critical | :02:08. | :02:13.
stab wounds in a play area in Elmfield Park near Doncaster town | :02:13. | :02:18.
centre. She'd been on her way to meet a friend. | :02:18. | :02:23.
Casey was a lovely, vibrant young girl who was just snatched away for | :02:23. | :02:28.
no reason. It's a close-knit family, obviously. Oh, yeah. How are they | :02:28. | :02:32.
dealing with this situation? Not very well at the moment. | :02:32. | :02:36.
This morning a 26-year-old local young woman, Hannah Bonser, was | :02:36. | :02:41.
brought before magistrates. She appeared in court dressed in a Navy | :02:41. | :02:45.
blue loose-fitting T-shirt. She nodded when asked to confirm her | :02:45. | :02:49.
name and date of birth and spoke only to confirm her address in | :02:49. | :02:52.
Doncaster. She faces one count of murder and two charges of | :02:52. | :02:57.
possessing a knife. No application was made for bail, and she was | :02:57. | :03:00.
remanded in custody to appear before Sheffield Crown Court on | :03:00. | :03:04.
February 23. Alongside an intense media presence, members of her | :03:04. | :03:07.
family were also in court. They left without comment, but in a | :03:07. | :03:17.
:03:17. | :03:26. | ||
Hannah Bonser left court in a prison van to jeers from people | :03:26. | :03:31.
waiting outside. In Rossington, Casey's home village, the local | :03:31. | :03:36.
Baptist Minister says the community will pull together. People will | :03:36. | :03:40.
support one another, and, you know, these sort of things do tend to | :03:40. | :03:47.
bring a community together, and I'm fully confident that the town will | :03:47. | :03:51.
come on the other side of this thing and make it through. The man | :03:51. | :03:55.
who came to Casey's aid in Elmfield Park on Tuesday says the tragedy | :03:55. | :03:59.
has had a profound effect on everyone. Subsequently having now | :03:59. | :04:04.
seen some photographs of Casey being young, healthy and alive on | :04:04. | :04:10.
the internet, you know, the vibrant, young girl - lots of colour, and, | :04:10. | :04:16.
you know, hope - different to the person I saw. As the number of | :04:16. | :04:20.
floral tributes continues to grow this evening, people are gathering | :04:20. | :04:25.
for candle it will vigil in memory of a popular young teenager whose | :04:25. | :04:29.
life was all too brief. Many people here just standing silently with | :04:29. | :04:33.
their thoughts as they remember this young lady. Let's talk to some | :04:33. | :04:36.
people who were behind this vigil tonight. Lee, you were behind | :04:36. | :04:41.
organising it. What do you hope to achieve by it? Just awareness, | :04:41. | :04:48.
really. Knife crime is horrendous. Obviously, she had her whole life | :04:48. | :04:51.
in front of her. Are you pleased with the way this has turned out? A | :04:52. | :04:58.
lot of people have turned out. Absolutely. Let's talk to Charlene. | :04:58. | :05:03.
I believe your young daughters knew Casey. What was Casey like? | :05:03. | :05:07.
only met her the once, and she said she were a really lovely girl. | :05:07. | :05:12.
Really lovely. What's this mean to the community? Because it has | :05:12. | :05:19.
affected the community judging by the turnout. It is a tribute to | :05:19. | :05:24.
such a young child whose life has been taken away. It's quite an | :05:24. | :05:28.
emotional time tonight, people are alone in their thoughts. They are - | :05:28. | :05:30.
sending their respects. Thank you for talking to us tonight. As you | :05:30. | :05:35.
can see, the people here - hundreds turning up - we have seen Chinese | :05:35. | :05:40.
lanterns going up earlier on. Many have candles. They're standing and | :05:40. | :05:44.
thinking of a popular young lady who meant a lot to many people. You | :05:44. | :05:48.
can see how she touched many in this community, and this vigil is | :05:48. | :05:52.
set to continue for the next 40 minutes to an hour. | :05:52. | :05:55.
Thank you. Our thoughts are with Casey-Lyanne | :05:55. | :05:58.
Kearney's friends and family. We're back at 8.00pm and at 10.00pm, | :05:58. | :06:04.
when we'll bring you the latest from that vigil in Doncaster. | :06:04. | :06:06.
Also tonight, he was their champion and their figurehead for decades, | :06:06. | :06:10.
but today Arthur Scargill took his union to court in a row over phone | :06:10. | :06:13.
bills and a 14,000 car allowance which the NUM is refusing to pay. | :06:13. | :06:16.
Mr Scargill was honorary president of the union until the end of last | :06:16. | :06:20.
year and says he was promised the allowances. The union says not. | :06:20. | :06:25.
Alan Whitehouse has sent us this report from Sheffield County Court. | :06:25. | :06:29.
It's a sight many miners thought they'd never see - their former | :06:29. | :06:34.
President and the man who led them into the fight of their lives | :06:34. | :06:37.
arriving at court to launch a legal challenge against the NUM, the | :06:37. | :06:41.
union he led for over 20 years. The row centres on what happened to | :06:41. | :06:46.
Arthur Scargill after he retired as national President in 2002. He took | :06:46. | :06:51.
on a consultancy role with a salary of 35,000 paid jointly by the | :06:51. | :06:55.
Yorkshire and Lancashire NUM. In addition to the salary came | :06:55. | :06:58.
expenses - his phone line, a mobile phone and a car allowance that | :06:58. | :07:04.
helped pay for a new car every two years. They were all paid out of | :07:04. | :07:09.
union funds. In April 2010, the NUM cut off the phone payments, and | :07:09. | :07:13.
later in the same year, when he asked for his car allowance, he was | :07:13. | :07:18.
offered just 50. He claims he's entitled to 14,500. He's wanting | :07:18. | :07:25.
that sum paying, the telephone costs and damages of up to 50,000. | :07:25. | :07:28.
The Yorkshire NUM officials and trustees were in court to give | :07:28. | :07:33.
their side of the story today, but much of the evidence came from | :07:33. | :07:37.
Arthur Scargill himself. Last week he was in Birmingham reliving a | :07:37. | :07:40.
union victory of 40 years ago. Today he was closely questioned | :07:40. | :07:45.
about how much work he'd really done for union members since his | :07:45. | :07:49.
retirement. His time as NUM leader was contentious. He took the miners | :07:49. | :07:55.
into their year-long strike against pit closures. Even his appointment | :07:55. | :07:59.
as honourary President for ten years came under controversy. | :07:59. | :08:05.
not me that thes the position. It's being discussed by the NUC, and | :08:05. | :08:07.
nobody in the National Conference opposed it. Even when this hearing | :08:07. | :08:13.
is over, the arguments won't be. A new set of disputes involving a | :08:13. | :08:17.
1.5 million flat in London and his gas bills will be heard in a new | :08:17. | :08:22.
court sitting later this year. Thank you. | :08:22. | :08:25.
A little earlier I spoke to Daily Mirror columnist Paul Routledge | :08:25. | :08:27.
who's written an unofficial biography of Arthur Scargill, and I | :08:27. | :08:31.
asked him whether he thought it was wise for the two sides to air their | :08:31. | :08:38.
dirty linen in public like this. It's a very sad day, isn't it, for | :08:38. | :08:42.
both - both for Arthur and for the union that his years and years of | :08:42. | :08:45.
leadership have come to a squalid legal argument about who pays for | :08:45. | :08:49.
his mobile phone bill. That's not the way it should end, surely? | :08:49. | :08:53.
question I would pose would be - he could end this by walking away, | :08:53. | :08:57.
accepting he's no longer President of the union, et cetera, but is he | :08:57. | :09:01.
short of cash? I shouldn't think so he's got a very good pension from | :09:01. | :09:05.
the union and he has his own house, a very nice house. I am sure he's | :09:05. | :09:09.
got his own car. It doesn't strike me he's in need of the money. It's | :09:09. | :09:13.
as if he's still trying to exercise control over the union which he led | :09:13. | :09:17.
for so long in which he was such a prominent figure. You have a tie on, | :09:17. | :09:22.
a very prominent tie. It's the 25th anniversary of the... This | :09:22. | :09:26.
commemorates the 25th anniversary of the strike which he led. You're | :09:26. | :09:31.
very much in touch with miners to this day? Two days ago I was | :09:32. | :09:39.
drinking with them in the Brooky - go there - 2 a pint. What do the | :09:39. | :09:43.
miners think of Arthur Scargill? They don't say he's wrong. He was | :09:43. | :09:47.
their leader, but they're not happy about this. It's not really the way | :09:47. | :09:50.
they want things to be. I suppose the question is, in a sense, does | :09:50. | :09:56.
he have any claim on this money? don't know the legal in's and out's | :09:56. | :10:00.
of it, but whatever the legal niceties, I don't think he has a | :10:00. | :10:04.
model claim on the union anymore, because he's had over 30 years as a | :10:04. | :10:07.
full-time official. He's got a good pension, and he doesn't really have | :10:07. | :10:10.
anything to offer the union anymore, so why should he expect money all | :10:10. | :10:14.
the time from it? What would you can ask him if you got one final | :10:14. | :10:18.
chance to ask him a question here now? I would say, Arthur, leave it. | :10:18. | :10:23.
Just walk away. Stop being a control freak. Leave the miners who | :10:23. | :10:28.
have succeeded you to run the union in the best way they see fit. | :10:28. | :10:32.
you. Thank you. Stay with us for a true double act. | :10:32. | :10:36.
The three-day either training to put her horse first in the run-up | :10:36. | :10:40.
to the Olympics. But next tonight: | :10:40. | :10:43.
Services which were set up to help deprived children and their | :10:43. | :10:46.
families in Yorkshire are being hit by spending cuts. BBC Look North | :10:46. | :10:48.
has discovered that several councils in the region are reducing | :10:48. | :10:55.
funding and services at dozens of Sure Start centres. | :10:55. | :10:58.
Today families in Kirklees have been meeting up to discuss how they | :10:58. | :11:00.
can fight planned changes to their centres. Our local government | :11:00. | :11:06.
reporter Emma Glasbey is here to tell us more. Harry, thank you. For | :11:06. | :11:11.
almost eight years, Sure Start centre s have been providing | :11:11. | :11:15.
activities and support to families. But now as council budgets are | :11:15. | :11:19.
reduced, some of these centres are having to cut back. Funding for | :11:19. | :11:24.
Sure Start has already been cut in Sheffield, Rotherham, Wakefield and | :11:24. | :11:27.
Leeds. No centres have closed, but some councils have made some | :11:27. | :11:32.
changes to the services they offer to help save money. Colderdale | :11:32. | :11:36.
Council is planning to close some nurseries in some Sure Start | :11:36. | :11:41.
centres, but keep the centres themselves. And Kirklees Council | :11:41. | :11:46.
says it needs to save 1.5 million on its Sure Start services. Their | :11:46. | :11:51.
plans have upset many parents. A chance for children to meet up | :11:51. | :11:58.
and play - and for parents to do the same. These families in | :11:58. | :12:01.
Huddersfield say Sure Start children's centres are vital, | :12:01. | :12:04.
especially in the more deprived areas of town. Before the general | :12:04. | :12:08.
election, David Cameron said they would be a big part of the future. | :12:08. | :12:12.
We know how much families rely on tax credits, on Sure Start, on the | :12:12. | :12:16.
minimum wage, so we'll keep these things, and where possible improve | :12:16. | :12:20.
them to help families who need it most. But they've not been | :12:20. | :12:24.
protected from spending cuts. Kirklees has 32 Sure Start centres. | :12:24. | :12:29.
To save money, the council wants to keep some as they are and make | :12:29. | :12:34.
others, so-called associate centres, with fewer services available. | :12:34. | :12:37.
These parents are worried about what that will mean for their | :12:37. | :12:41.
families. Every mum who comes to the Sure Start centre is talking | :12:41. | :12:46.
about it. No-one, like, can believe it. People that, like, don't have | :12:46. | :12:50.
transport can't travel for various reasons wouldn't be available to | :12:50. | :12:54.
get to the - all the services that are offered. There will be more | :12:54. | :13:00.
people coming into the main centres, than they can cope with. I'll be | :13:01. | :13:04.
standing there with the banners - even if I have to chain myself to | :13:04. | :13:07.
do it, I'll be there supporting Sure Start all around the country | :13:07. | :13:11.
because if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be the person I am today. | :13:11. | :13:13.
This afternoon, parents who use the centres have been talking to their | :13:13. | :13:18.
local MP about what to do next. He believes Sure Start should not be | :13:18. | :13:22.
touched despite budget pressures. feel very sorry for Kirklees | :13:22. | :13:26.
Council. They're being pushed by the Government, I have to say, to | :13:26. | :13:30.
do this. So my heart goes out to them. I don't think they want to do | :13:30. | :13:35.
it, but I still appeal to them - this is the best policy anyone's | :13:35. | :13:38.
introduced by any Government for the last 50 years. Why spoil it? | :13:38. | :13:43.
There is now a petition with almost 5,000 signatures calling on the | :13:44. | :13:48.
council to leave Sure Start centres alone. | :13:48. | :13:51.
So Emma, what have Kirklees council been saying about this today? | :13:51. | :13:56.
Kirklees Council have to save 80 million, so some very tough | :13:56. | :13:59.
decisions have to be made. These planned changes to Sure Start | :14:00. | :14:04.
centres would save them around 1.5 million. I should point out we did | :14:04. | :14:07.
ask to speak to somebody from the Government today, but nobody was | :14:07. | :14:12.
available. Earlier this afternoon, Kirklees Council told Look North | :14:12. | :14:16.
that Sure Start services should still be available to everyone. | :14:16. | :14:19.
universal offer that everybody has at present will still be there. | :14:19. | :14:23.
Some things may not be happening in all the centres, and there may be | :14:23. | :14:29.
ways of looking at that, but we're very conscious and very focused on | :14:29. | :14:31.
delivering a service to the people rather than looking necessarily at | :14:31. | :14:36.
where it happens. It's making sure it gets to the right people at the | :14:36. | :14:40.
right time. No final decision has been made yet, but I am told that | :14:40. | :14:43.
will happen within the next few weeks. The parents who use these | :14:43. | :14:46.
Sure Start centres in Kirklees say they'll be out on the street | :14:46. | :14:49.
protesting if any centres are downgraded. | :14:49. | :14:52.
I am sure they will. Thank you, Emma. | :14:52. | :14:55.
An inquest into the death of a Royal Marine from York who died | :14:55. | :14:57.
from injuries received in Afghanistan has taken place today. | :14:57. | :15:00.
David Hart was killed by an improvised explosive device which | :15:00. | :15:02.
eighteen other British and Afghan soldiers had unknowingly stepped | :15:02. | :15:04.
over. The 23-year-old left the proceeds of his life insurance | :15:04. | :15:08.

of a man from York. Jordan Sullivan was last seen running towards the | :15:28. | :15:30.
River Ouse at Naburn on Tuesday morning. It's been confirmed that | :15:31. | :15:33.
his clothes have been found by the riverside. Police liaison officers | :15:33. | :15:40.
are currently supporting Jordan's family. | :15:40. | :15:43.
More than 2 million has been given to a project which has supported | :15:43. | :15:45.

with money from the European Regional Development fund to | :15:48. | :15:55.
encourage entrepreneurs and create jobs. Funding for phase two of the | :15:55. | :15:58.
scheme was announced today by Communities Minister Baroness Hanam. | :15:58. | :16:00.
22 men have appeared before magistrates in Doncaster in | :16:00. | :16:04.
connection with a riot at Moorland Prison. Around a million pounds | :16:04. | :16:08.
worth of damage was caused during three nights of rioting in 2010. | :16:08. | :16:17.
The men are due to appear before Sheffield Crown Court in March. | :16:17. | :16:23.

also about making sure her horse, Opposition Buzz, is in the best | :16:54. | :16:57.

than she does. Opposition Buzz is building up to London 2012. He just | :17:06. | :17:09.
doesn't know it. Does he have any idea when it's a | :17:09. | :17:14.
big event or anything like that? hasn't a clue where he's going, but | :17:14. | :17:18.
he knows he's building up to something big. It is a lovely | :17:18. | :17:20.
feeling when they're that experienced and know there is | :17:20. | :17:23.
something special around the corner. Give us an idea of what it takes to | :17:23. | :17:28.
get you and him to the start line of the Olympics? It's a huge team | :17:28. | :17:32.
affair. He has Liz who looks after him on a day-to-day basis. Wherever | :17:32. | :17:38.
he goes, she goes tending to his needs. Obviously, there is farrier. | :17:38. | :17:42.
Sponsors are involved. It's quite huge. Obviously, I do the training | :17:42. | :17:45.
and competing, but I just can't do everything, and everybody does | :17:45. | :17:51.
their bit to make it a successful show hopefully. One of those doing | :17:51. | :17:57.
her bit is British equine physio Vikki whose job it is to give him | :17:57. | :18:01.
his monthly massage. He would be seen regularly over the course of | :18:01. | :18:05.
the event season, particularly this year, so we can keep his muscles | :18:05. | :18:09.
soft and his joints mobile and we can pick up on any problems and | :18:09. | :18:14.
niggles he gets. As any athlete working at this level does, before | :18:14. | :18:18.
they develop into major problems that are going to put him off form | :18:18. | :18:25.
and take him out of competition for awhile. Going the direct route, the | :18:25. | :18:30.
last of four water jumps - makes it look easy. When did you bring him | :18:30. | :18:34.
back into training? He came back in the beginning of November. The | :18:34. | :18:38.
European - his last run was at the European Championships in the | :18:38. | :18:43.
beginning of AUso he's had quite a holiday, then he started in light | :18:43. | :18:48.
work, building him up hopefully to peak fitness in April as he's going | :18:48. | :18:53.
to hopefully run at Badminton. Presumably, he has a programme. | :18:53. | :18:57.
Like any athlete does, you have a set programme for him, do you? | :18:57. | :19:03.
Absolutely. Obviously, you have to be set to change it at any point, | :19:03. | :19:05.
but we have a training programme for him and a competition programme | :19:05. | :19:09.
for him as well. I think just to have the support and for those | :19:09. | :19:14.
people to be a part of my team is unreal, really. He has no idea | :19:14. | :19:18.
what's around the corner. He has no idea what we're hoping and praying | :19:18. | :19:24.
for, but we keep doing our training and hope that dreams can come true. | :19:24. | :19:27.
Good luck to them. Woksop golfer, Lee Westwood, hopes | :19:27. | :19:30.
receiving an OBE from the Queen today will help spur him on to win | :19:31. | :19:34.
his first major. The 38-year-old golfer said it was | :19:34. | :19:37.
"amazing" to receive the honour adding "I can't quite believe it". | :19:37. | :19:40.
Westwood spent five weeks as world number one last year, but has yet | :19:40. | :19:43.
to win a major. I don't know anybody in sport that doesn't wish | :19:43. | :19:46.
that would be the case this year. He's a top guy, and congratulations | :19:46. | :19:53.
to you. Now you may remember a busker we | :19:54. | :19:57.
featured here on Look North back in 2010 called Tristan McEye, who was | :19:57. | :20:05.
wowing audiences in Leeds City centre. Well, he was spotted on the | :20:05. | :20:08.
internet by an award winning producer, and has recorded an album | :20:08. | :20:13.
due for release next week. In a recent review he's even been dubbed | :20:13. | :20:18.
the next James Blunt! A I have heard of him as well. | :20:18. | :20:28.
:20:28. | :20:31. | ||
We'll ask him how he feels about that in a moment. But let's get a | :20:31. | :20:34.
little taste of what we can expect from his debut album Out Along the | :20:34. | :20:37.
Wire # Cos I see your face in my face | :20:37. | :20:47.
# And I feel your heart in mine # And your voice comes out of my | :20:47. | :20:49.
mouth from time to time # Oh, I am a liar | :20:49. | :20:55.
# And I'm a fool # And at times I have been cruel | :20:55. | :21:04.
# So it seems fair to conclude # That I'm like you # | :21:04. | :21:09.
Oh, it sends shudders, doesn't it? He joins us in the studio now. | :21:09. | :21:13.
Lovely to see you. Thank you for coming in. You were a student here | :21:13. | :21:17.
almost a decade ago. Busking was about paying the bills for you, | :21:17. | :21:22.
wasn't it? Definitely. To get by, student life is tough. You're | :21:22. | :21:25.
living on pasta. You have to get out and earn a crust. Guitar was | :21:26. | :21:35.
the only way I could do it. Did you make anything? Yeah, I earned a few | :21:35. | :21:45.
:21:45. | :21:46. | ||
bob? Probably 150 a day, best. I was learning my craft. It was good. | :21:46. | :21:52.
Leeds was the place it started. Yeah, it feel goods coming back for | :21:52. | :22:00.
this gig on the 1st of March. It gave me adrenaline coming back. | :22:00. | :22:05.
was Martin Levin's assistant next door at the College of Music who | :22:05. | :22:09.
spotted you, a couple of years later started you with this pludge | :22:09. | :22:16.
deucer who has worked with the likes of Andrew Lloyd-Webber and | :22:16. | :22:20.
said, I know someone working in Leeds... It was literally a lucky | :22:20. | :22:26.
break. He saw me busking, and we started working in the studio and | :22:26. | :22:30.
started shortly thereafter. It was exciting. Tell us about the album. | :22:30. | :22:34.
It's inspired by my heroes like Eric Clapton. It's a blues record | :22:34. | :22:38.
with a leaning towards pop. You don't hear a lot of that around | :22:38. | :22:41.
these days. I think we're doing something a little bit different. | :22:41. | :22:48.
So a bit of fusion, a bit of blues, pops... Fusion, yeah, yeah! | :22:48. | :22:55.
have collaborated with a lot of well-known producers - Bob Clareot? | :22:55. | :22:59.
Yeah, he's an amazing organ player, people much better than me. I just | :22:59. | :23:04.
try to keep up with them, really. James Blunt you have been compared | :23:04. | :23:10.
to. How do you feel about that? He's loved by many people. My music | :23:10. | :23:20.
:23:20. | :23:24. | ||
is more like Mayer. You have a gig in London? We're | :23:24. | :23:31.
sold out in London, but we have one in Budenel. I think there are 50 | :23:31. | :23:35.
tickets left. We'll be hearing from Tristan McEye | :23:35. | :23:45.
:23:45. | :24:02. | ||
at the end of the programme, but Keep your photos coming in at the | :24:02. | :24:05.
website. It has been another mild day. We have seen temperatures | :24:05. | :24:09.
around 10-11 Celsius. Tomorrow seems similar, mild and some | :24:09. | :24:14.
outbreaks of rain at times. You can see the reason why - we look at the | :24:14. | :24:19.
pressure charts - with this weather front approaching from the west, it | :24:19. | :24:23.
goes downhill as this weather front approaches through the day. You can | :24:23. | :24:27.
see the cloud that thickened up around lunch time that brought in | :24:27. | :24:30.
cloud along the coast and Pennines is clearing through this evening, | :24:30. | :24:34.
but we still have that cloud across the Pennines. It's here through the | :24:34. | :24:38.
course of the night we have outbreaks of rain, mostly light in | :24:38. | :24:43.
nature. Further east we'll see clearer spells and to the Vale of | :24:43. | :24:49.
York where we see clear spells, it's here where we the lowest | :24:49. | :24:55.
temperatures - 2-3 Celsius. As we head towards the Pennines, 5-6 | :24:55. | :24:59.
Celsius. Let's look at the sun times across the region. It will | :24:59. | :25:07.
rise tomorrow morning at 22 minutes past 7.00pm, setting again at | :25:07. | :25:11.
5.19pm. Those are your times around the coast. Not too cool to start | :25:11. | :25:14.
the day. We'll see a touch of ground frost in the east. Here | :25:14. | :25:18.
we'll see bright, sunny spells. Cloud already in the Pennines. | :25:18. | :25:23.
Through the course of the morning, the cloud gradually thickens as it | :25:23. | :25:26.
spreads east. The morning will be dry, though the Pennines see | :25:26. | :25:31.
outbreaks of rain. For the afternoon, the rain pushing into | :25:32. | :25:38.
the coastline, very light in nature. Through Peak District, the rain is | :25:38. | :25:42.
persistent. We're still looking at the west south-west, so we're still | :25:42. | :25:46.
in the mild air for tomorrow. 9 Celsius along the coast for | :25:46. | :25:51.
Scarborough, 10 Celsius for the Vale of York, and into Leeds, 10 | :25:51. | :25:54.
Celsius is 50 Fahrenheit. That's a couple of degrees above average for | :25:54. | :25:58.
the time of year. We'll keep the cloud overnight into Saturday. It | :25:58. | :26:02.
will be frost free to start the day. As the band of rain pushes its way | :26:02. | :26:06.
southwards, it turns cooler. A frost overnight. Plenty of sunshine | :26:06. | :26:13.
on Sunday, but temperatures only Thank you very much indeed. The one | :26:13. | :26:18.
thing I have always wanted to do in my career in Look North is end with | :26:18. | :26:23.
a bit of fusion.So Tristan McEye is already number ten in the pre-album | :26:23. | :26:29.
charts. We think he's due for big things. This is something from his | :26:29. | :26:34.
album. # Though we're miles apart | :26:34. | :26:44.
# You and I # We've valleys and seas between us | :26:44. | :26:53.
# We still share the same sky # So no matter where you are | :26:53. | :27:01.
# I'm always by your side # Wherever you lay your hat | :27:01. | :27:11.
:27:11. | :27:14. | ||
# You are always on my mind. # Oh, now, the ground you walk on | :27:14. | :27:19.
# Is just like mine # Yeah. | :27:19. | :27:28. |
