A two-year-old boy injured in a hit-and-run incident in Leeds has

been discharged from hospital and is back home. His sister, who was

also hit, remains in a stable condition at Leeds General

Infirmary. The children's family have thanked well-wishers for their

prayers and support. A police investigation into the incident is

ongoing. Cathy Killick reports. Literally bouncing with health

after his ordeal, two-year-old Rayhan can't remember being hit by

a car. He thinks he fell off his swing. Playing with his sister and

cousin it is clear he has made a full recovery. Our prayers have

been answered. He is returning slowly to his normal self-, causing

chaos as usual. Rayhan was crossing the road near his home with his

other sister Sabah when a car hit them. Sabah is still in hospital.

Her recovery is less certain. is slowly recovering. But from

where she was last week and to where she is today, there has been

significant improvement. Two men aged 39 and 36 have been arrested

on suspicion of dangerous driving and released on bail. A 36-year-old

man was arrested on suspicion of assisting and. He has also been

released on bail. The police investigation is continuing.

The 45th Leeds West Indian Carnival has taken place this afternoon.

Despite the rain, crowds lined the streets for the parade from

Potternewton Park in Chapeltown. The spectacle included 14 queen

costumes, three kings, seven princes and 12 princesses. Some had

a Jubilee theme, others reflected the Olympics and the event also

celebrated both Jamaica and Trinidad's 50th year of
