Good evening welcome to Friday's Look North.

:00:00.:00:00.

Temporary workers in Yorkshire take on so-called "umbrella companies",

:00:00.:00:09.

who they say are exploiting them by cutting their wages.

:00:10.:00:14.

Shocked to see they were also taking the employers's National Insurance,

:00:15.:00:18.

and I was paying a fee for drawing my money

:00:19.:00:23.

from a company who apparently I'm employed by.

:00:24.:00:34.

We will ask the trade association what it's doing to stop employees

:00:35.:00:38.

being ripped off. The sky's the limit for South

:00:39.:00:40.

Yorkshire's high-tech industry. Aircraft giant Boeing wants

:00:41.:00:43.

to invest ?20 million and build its only European

:00:44.:00:45.

factory in Sheffield, because of its world-class

:00:46.:00:47.

facilities. And look who's skipping

:00:48.:00:48.

into spring in Baaa-rnsley, where record numbers

:00:49.:00:50.

of lamb triplets have been born. as sport's first transatlantic

:00:51.:00:53.

team takes to the pitch. Can Doncaster boxer Gavin McDonnell

:00:54.:00:58.

match his brother It would make them

:00:59.:01:00.

the first twins in the country And it was a decent enough day

:01:01.:01:06.

across Yorkshire today, Now, if you are one of Yorkshire's

:01:07.:01:11.

estimated 40,000 people paid through so-called

:01:12.:01:31.

"umbrella companies", of what we are

:01:32.:01:32.

talking about tonight. Temporary workers paid

:01:33.:01:38.

through some umbrella companies have been telling us

:01:39.:01:39.

here at BBC Yorkshire that they are losing hundreds

:01:40.:01:41.

of pounds in wages every month. And that's because they say have

:01:42.:01:44.

no choice but to pay not only their employer's

:01:45.:01:46.

National Insurance, In a moment, we will be hearing

:01:47.:01:48.

from the trade organisation which defends umbrella companies,

:01:49.:01:52.

or payroll companies. Construction workers,

:01:53.:01:55.

supply teachers, care providers - people working in sectors

:01:56.:02:01.

of the economy where temporary work has become the norm,

:02:02.:02:03.

and work is less secure. And it's in this sector

:02:04.:02:09.

of the economy that some temporary contract workers are telling us

:02:10.:02:11.

they are being ripped off. It will work out somewhere

:02:12.:02:17.

just under ?4,000. I thought I was getting

:02:18.:02:21.

ripped off that much, So I phoned the union

:02:22.:02:23.

and they took my case on. The target of these complaints

:02:24.:02:27.

are so-called umbrella companies. These are, in effect,

:02:28.:02:31.

middlemen who sort out wages for contractors

:02:32.:02:35.

who have outsourced The theory is this - a contractor

:02:36.:02:37.

requiring the service of, for instance, a builder hands

:02:38.:02:42.

the umbrellas company the wage, then pays the worker

:02:43.:02:46.

their monthly or weekly wages. But it's not as

:02:47.:02:52.

straightforward as that. We spoke to workers who claim

:02:53.:02:55.

their umbrellas companies are deducting from

:02:56.:02:57.

their wages not only the normal rates of tax

:02:58.:03:02.

and employee's National Insurance, but also employer's

:03:03.:03:04.

National Insurance and holiday pay. Both of which should, in fact,

:03:05.:03:08.

the paid by the employer. They are also paying administration

:03:09.:03:12.

fees and even VAT on those fees. that can amount to significant

:03:13.:03:16.

amounts of money. This construction worker

:03:17.:03:22.

from South Yorkshire was paid through

:03:23.:03:24.

an umbrella company. His payslips show extra

:03:25.:03:26.

deductions alongside those which all employees

:03:27.:03:30.

can expect to pay. He threatened to take

:03:31.:03:32.

the company to a tribunal. when he was repaid

:03:33.:03:35.

thousands of pounds. What I didn't understand was

:03:36.:03:41.

the margins they were taking off us. we were paying our own holiday pay,

:03:42.:03:46.

which I'm entitled to. Umbrella companies

:03:47.:03:50.

will try to get round it by not paying

:03:51.:03:53.

anybody holiday money. Also at a loss to understand

:03:54.:03:56.

his payslips was Leeds building

:03:57.:03:58.

worker Jerry Bird. Well, I was shocked to see

:03:59.:04:02.

they were also taking an employer's National Insurance,

:04:03.:04:04.

and I was paying a fee for drawing my money

:04:05.:04:08.

from the company, Jerry has tragically died

:04:09.:04:12.

since filming for this programme. But his family intend

:04:13.:04:19.

to continue his legal According to the organisation

:04:20.:04:21.

which represents umbrella companies, actually includes

:04:22.:04:29.

the umbrella company's fee, and what it must pay the Government

:04:30.:04:34.

for employer's National Insurance. Next month, select committee

:04:35.:04:39.

hearings are due to begin in the House of Commons

:04:40.:04:42.

about fairness in the workplace, and unions are bringing more

:04:43.:04:44.

challenges through tribunals. Joining us now is Julia Kermode,

:04:45.:04:52.

who's chief executive of the trade association

:04:53.:04:54.

covering umbrella companies. Paying a company purely to get your

:04:55.:05:04.

salary paid into your bank account, that grossly unfair, isn't it?

:05:05.:05:09.

Actually, it is not just about paying accompany to process the

:05:10.:05:12.

payroll. And brother firms actually employ crime -- contractors, so they

:05:13.:05:21.

are able to go to fulfil short-term assignments at a bright the event

:05:22.:05:29.

high -- at a variety of end contractors. How well they collated

:05:30.:05:34.

is this? If there are cowboys out there? What are you doing to protect

:05:35.:05:41.

people from being ripped off? Ours is a membership organisation. They

:05:42.:05:45.

sign to confirm they will operate legally and ethically and

:05:46.:05:52.

transparently. There are some less transparent firms out there, and we

:05:53.:05:58.

get very annoyed that everyone is being tarnished with the same brush

:05:59.:06:00.

because our members work really hard to make sure that contractors know

:06:01.:06:05.

exactly how they are being paid and what is being deducted, so are not

:06:06.:06:12.

these misunderstandings. We have heard about the confusion about

:06:13.:06:16.

wages, and people try to work out what the deductions are. Would you

:06:17.:06:21.

like to be paid by an umbrella company? I understand how it works,

:06:22.:06:27.

that is a major issue in terms of the National Insurance and cost to

:06:28.:06:33.

the umbrella, which need to be factored in to when the assignment

:06:34.:06:37.

rate is set in. Those are deducted before getting to the gross pay of

:06:38.:06:41.

the worker. What is happening is there is not always very good

:06:42.:06:47.

indication so what the workers are being told the full package, which

:06:48.:06:50.

includes those deductions which have to be made. But what is the worker

:06:51.:06:55.

getting out of it? They seem to be losing all the way through. They get

:06:56.:07:00.

continuity of employment. If they are employing for mortgages or

:07:01.:07:02.

credit or whatever, they have the same employer throughout. They also

:07:03.:07:09.

have the same employment rights which if they were contracting and

:07:10.:07:13.

being paid through an agency as an agency worker, they would not have

:07:14.:07:17.

those same rights or continuity of employment. They also get their tax

:07:18.:07:26.

affairs that after -- looked after. This sounds great, but there are

:07:27.:07:29.

cowboys companies out there, would you accept that? I would accept

:07:30.:07:34.

that, and we would be very happy to be better regulated because our

:07:35.:07:40.

members do operate compliantly and ethically, and we would welcome

:07:41.:07:46.

that. Parliament has got wind of this now, ie willing to give

:07:47.:07:51.

evidence to them? I absolutely am. I e-mailed this morning to say that

:07:52.:07:55.

I'm the person to come and justify what it is all about. It is a shame

:07:56.:08:04.

it is not more widely known about in public. Thank you.

:08:05.:08:05.

Next tonight to more good news for South Yorkshire with aircraft

:08:06.:08:08.

giant Boeing announcing a ?20 million investment

:08:09.:08:09.

in what will be the company's first,

:08:10.:08:11.

If planning permission is granted, the site -

:08:12.:08:14.

next to the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre

:08:15.:08:16.

will make high-tech aircraft parts and also use local suppliers.

:08:17.:08:19.

This is the part of South Yorkshire where ideas are made. 15 years ago,

:08:20.:08:35.

Sheffield University had the idea to partner up with Boeing to create a

:08:36.:08:39.

centre where engineers could work on designs to make engines, turbines

:08:40.:08:43.

and aeroplanes more efficiently. That partnership has just paid off,

:08:44.:08:49.

because Boeing are on their way. This is called the factory of the

:08:50.:08:52.

future. It's where all of the research is done here. It is the

:08:53.:08:55.

partnership they already have with Boeing that has made the American

:08:56.:09:00.

firm think, the expertise is ready here, why not build a factory next

:09:01.:09:05.

door? It's fantastic news. It is the culmination of 16 years hard work by

:09:06.:09:10.

the team here, showing the capability of what Sheffield has to

:09:11.:09:15.

offer. This is the other recently have come here, apprentices learning

:09:16.:09:20.

the buttocks and computer aided design. Boeing knows their engineers

:09:21.:09:23.

being trained up just yards away from their new factory. There is a

:09:24.:09:28.

lot of local employers with global present or -- already, but these big

:09:29.:09:37.

ticket companies are positive for the sector. It will be bowing's

:09:38.:09:43.

first factory in Europe, and they have chosen to build it here,

:09:44.:09:47.

building some of the most important parts of the plane, which moved the

:09:48.:09:50.

wings. The factory is itself important for South Yorkshire. It is

:09:51.:09:57.

the secondary effect for all of the suppliers and providers. We will

:09:58.:09:59.

create four times as many jobs in the secondary businesses as in the

:10:00.:10:08.

primary businesses. McLaren announced job creation here a few

:10:09.:10:13.

months ago. Rolls Royce be making turbine blades here for a couple of

:10:14.:10:20.

years. South Yorkshire build itself on heavy industry, but it is the new

:10:21.:10:23.

stuff, the ideas that will drive it forward.

:10:24.:10:26.

Well, the president of Boeing Europe, Sir Michael Arthur,

:10:27.:10:28.

told me why they chose South Yorkshire.

:10:29.:10:34.

We've chosen this because we've had a long relationship with the area

:10:35.:10:41.

through the AM RC, we were co-founders there. We find there are

:10:42.:10:46.

high skills in the area, particularly in advanced Manny

:10:47.:10:49.

factory technology, which we think is world-class. So the first ever

:10:50.:10:53.

factory that Boeing has in Europe is going to make these parts near the

:10:54.:10:59.

AM RC outside Sheffield. How many jobs will this create, just in the

:11:00.:11:03.

plant but in the supply chain as well? The initial build that we are

:11:04.:11:09.

planning is ?20 million, but there will be a supply chain of the steel

:11:10.:11:13.

rods that we use coming from the local area. Once we are up and

:11:14.:11:19.

running, that will multiply out. How important is the relationship with

:11:20.:11:25.

the University? They play a key role as well. They do, and it is an

:11:26.:11:31.

important research Centre. Alongside the fabrication we are doing at the

:11:32.:11:34.

new factory, people double down and put more investment into research

:11:35.:11:39.

that as well. In manufacturing techniques, because that is what

:11:40.:11:45.

Sheffield is good at. What is the timescale on this? How soon can we

:11:46.:11:50.

see this up and running? We are waiting for planning permission,

:11:51.:11:52.

that is the first stage, we have to get them to agree with this.

:11:53.:11:56.

Hopefully we'll get that and then we go ahead as fast as possible so that

:11:57.:12:00.

by the end of next year, it is up and running and churning out 7000 or

:12:01.:12:06.

8000 parts a month, to go back to Seattle to go into planes.

:12:07.:12:10.

We're finding out how thousands of new trees planted on moorland

:12:11.:12:15.

in the Calder Valley could help prevent future flooding.

:12:16.:12:25.

after he knocked down a cyclist, killing him, in Bingley last year.

:12:26.:12:30.

Akash Rashid, who's 22 and from Bradford,

:12:31.:12:32.

had been trying to get away from police

:12:33.:12:35.

when he hit Andrew Platten on Cottingley Cliffe Road in July.

:12:36.:12:38.

Mr Platten's family has paid tribute to him,

:12:39.:12:40.

and a "truly inspirational" father who will be deeply missed.

:12:41.:12:50.

The Huddersfield middle-distance runner

:12:51.:12:51.

and former mile world record holder, Derek Ibbotson,

:12:52.:12:52.

Ibbo, as he was known, set a time of three minutes

:12:53.:13:02.

and 57.2 seconds to break the world record in 1957.

:13:03.:13:06.

He won a bronze medal in the 5,000 metres at the Melbourne Olympics

:13:07.:13:09.

the year before and also went on to run a mile

:13:10.:13:11.

the first man to literally run a four-minute mile.

:13:12.:13:18.

The case against two men who were arrested following protests

:13:19.:13:21.

about the felling of trees in Sheffield has been dropped.

:13:22.:13:23.

Simon Crump and Calvin Payne had been charged under Trade Union

:13:24.:13:26.

legislation and were due before magistrates next month.

:13:27.:13:30.

The Crown Prosecution Service say it's not in the public interest

:13:31.:13:33.

The case against two other people, also arrested during protests,

:13:34.:13:38.

Now the latest flood prevention scheme was unveiled high

:13:39.:13:44.

on the moors above the Calder Valley today - but rather than building

:13:45.:13:47.

barriers or dredging ditches, this one is totally natural.

:13:48.:13:51.

The plan is to plant hundreds of thousands of trees

:13:52.:13:54.

to stem the flow of water, and encourage moss to grow

:13:55.:13:57.

This is the latest battle ground in the fight against flooding

:13:58.:14:06.

Yorkshire Water's bright idea is to fight nature with nature.

:14:07.:14:11.

The moorland around Gorpley Reservoir near Todmorden

:14:12.:14:13.

is to be planted with up to 200,000 trees,

:14:14.:14:15.

in a bid to reduce the risk of flooding.

:14:16.:14:18.

This will take a long, long time to fully work.

:14:19.:14:24.

But once you start, you know it's going to happen.

:14:25.:14:27.

The benefits are clear in terms of water quality, habitat,

:14:28.:14:32.

and there's also a lot of evidence to show

:14:33.:14:35.

you get greater economic investment in well wooded landscapes.

:14:36.:14:40.

In the coming decades, this moorland above Todmorden

:14:41.:14:43.

There's going to be thousands of new trees growing up.

:14:44.:14:49.

They will be native species like oak and birch

:14:50.:14:53.

and then, further up the more, there is going to be blanket bog

:14:54.:14:56.

and sphagnum moss created, all of which will work together

:14:57.:15:01.

to keep the water in the hills, away from the Calder Valley.

:15:02.:15:05.

Centuries of grazing sheep on the moors

:15:06.:15:07.

has compacted the earth, meaning water just runs off.

:15:08.:15:12.

The trees will break up the soil, making it more porous,

:15:13.:15:14.

and the moss will act as a giant sponge.

:15:15.:15:18.

Well, clearly here we are above Todmorden in the topmost

:15:19.:15:22.

water catchment, so we are right at the top of Calderdale.

:15:23.:15:24.

Anything that we do here really ought to have some small benefit,

:15:25.:15:27.

It's about managing flows right at the top end of the catchment.

:15:28.:15:31.

Obviously, the further down you go, the more sub catchments

:15:32.:15:34.

you've got coming in, the less the effect that

:15:35.:15:36.

But I think doing things within the top end of the catchment

:15:37.:15:41.

is the right place to start all of these kind of measures.

:15:42.:15:44.

It's impossible to completely prevent flooding.

:15:45.:15:47.

But it's hoped the new measures will make scenes like these in 2015

:15:48.:15:51.

with four of our teams playing each other.

:15:52.:16:02.

It's Yorkshire derby day in the championship tomorrow

:16:03.:16:06.

and there's certainly plenty to play for.

:16:07.:16:08.

Barnsley, in ninth, still have hopes of making the playoffs.

:16:09.:16:10.

They host third placed Huddersfield who are knocking on the door

:16:11.:16:14.

Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday are locked together on 58 points

:16:15.:16:20.

Being a derby game, both teams on the same points,

:16:21.:16:28.

both fighting for the higher end of the league.

:16:29.:16:31.

All those ingredients make it a little bit more interesting,

:16:32.:16:35.

shall we say, from the perspective of both sets of fans.

:16:36.:16:38.

But all we have to do is remain focused on ourselves.

:16:39.:16:41.

both teams will be in the sixth positions,

:16:42.:16:49.

nothing will be decided in this game.

:16:50.:16:54.

It's an important game, more because it is a derby,

:16:55.:16:56.

but it is the three points we will discuss in this game.

:16:57.:16:59.

But we are ready and we are positive about the derby tomorrow.

:17:00.:17:03.

British boxing history could be made tomorrow night

:17:04.:17:05.

when Doncaster's Gavin McDonnell fights for the world title.

:17:06.:17:09.

He's taking on Rey Vargas for the vacant WBC super-bantamweight

:17:10.:17:12.

If he wins, he and his brother, Jamie, will be the first twins

:17:13.:17:18.

in the country to be world champions.

:17:19.:17:20.

There was an unexpected free gift for shoppers

:17:21.:17:25.

at Prince's Quay in Hull - a chance to see Gavin McDonnell

:17:26.:17:29.

as he prepares for the most important day of his career.

:17:30.:17:33.

Biggest night of my life, you know what I mean?

:17:34.:17:35.

I intend to grab it with both hands and really make a name for myself.

:17:36.:17:40.

In training, he's got the perfect partner.

:17:41.:17:42.

Twin brother Jamie is already the WBA bantamweight champion,

:17:43.:17:46.

and Gavin's more than ready to join him,

:17:47.:17:49.

Some will say Gavin will have the best belt

:17:50.:17:54.

out of the two of them, which is up for debate.

:17:55.:17:57.

I think there's a lot of banter that goes off in this gym, in our gym.

:17:58.:18:02.

It's understandable, they're twins,

:18:03.:18:04.

and if they both become world champions,

:18:05.:18:06.

Gavin is a former British and European champion,

:18:07.:18:10.

but he faces tough opposition on Saturday, in Mexico's

:18:11.:18:13.

Rey Vargas, who is unbeaten in his 28 fights so far.

:18:14.:18:19.

The Mexican is the favourite going into the contest,

:18:20.:18:22.

but Gavin's counting on a vociferous Yorkshire crowd

:18:23.:18:27.

at Hull's Ice Arena tomorrow to help him upset the odds.

:18:28.:18:30.

Everybody in that arena is going to be wanting me to win,

:18:31.:18:34.

If they can raise me half a percent in a fight that is won or lost

:18:35.:18:41.

on the slightest margins, it could be crucial.

:18:42.:18:44.

that brings one Doncaster family a second world boxing champion.

:18:45.:18:57.

because Toronto Wolfpack will become the first transatlantic sports team

:18:58.:19:01.

when they take on Siddal in rugby league's Challenge Cup tomorrow.

:19:02.:19:05.

Nine years in the making, the Wolfpack will compete

:19:06.:19:09.

in their first professional game in round three

:19:10.:19:11.

The Canadian club start this season in the third tier

:19:12.:19:15.

of English rugby league, but they have high ambitions.

:19:16.:19:18.

Canada is renowned for, amongst other things,

:19:19.:19:20.

the Maple Leaf, their Mounties, and the Rocky Mountains.

:19:21.:19:25.

The Wolfpack are hoping to change all that.

:19:26.:19:30.

I'll just say that Never-Never Land does exist.

:19:31.:19:32.

There's so many messages in life that say you can't do things,

:19:33.:19:36.

but I think to not try and not to make this a success

:19:37.:19:40.

I think we need a new audience, I think we need new fans,

:19:41.:19:45.

Clearly everywhere I've been there's been a lot of enthusiasm.

:19:46.:19:50.

You're right, there are some people that might knock.

:19:51.:19:52.

But we'll have a huge crack this and try to make this successful.

:19:53.:19:55.

Most of the players are from the M62 corridor,

:19:56.:19:59.

and they've been training in West Yorkshire.

:20:00.:20:02.

They have one Canadian recruit, a rookie player called Chad Bain.

:20:03.:20:05.

Though you'd probably struggle to find many Canadians

:20:06.:20:08.

who heard of Siddal, he says there will be

:20:09.:20:10.

plenty of interest in tomorrow's match back home.

:20:11.:20:12.

I think everyone is pumped right now,

:20:13.:20:14.

and everyone wants to see a game right now.

:20:15.:20:16.

but everyone will be watching online and everything.

:20:17.:20:20.

The Wolfpack captain, Craig Hall, was playing for Wakefield

:20:21.:20:22.

but he was persuaded to step down two divisions.

:20:23.:20:28.

They are very ambitious, from the top and then into the coaches.

:20:29.:20:30.

Obviously, it's something absolutely brand-new,

:20:31.:20:34.

I've never been, so I just can't wait to go.

:20:35.:20:44.

Due to what can often be a long, hard winter in Toronto,

:20:45.:20:47.

he's going to have to wait until May for that first home game.

:20:48.:20:51.

But the journey towards it starts against the amateur side Siddal -

:20:52.:20:54.

through to the third round, courtesy of this win

:20:55.:20:56.

Are you going to be a little bit nervous over at Siddle on Saturday?

:20:57.:21:05.

Somebody told me the other day that it's the site

:21:06.:21:09.

of the old zoo at Halifax, so I'm thinking,

:21:10.:21:11.

"I hope there's not some ghosts of animals out there

:21:12.:21:13.

who give us a hard time at the weekend."

:21:14.:21:16.

and looking forward to seeing what the boys have got to do.

:21:17.:21:23.

And that match will be streamed, worldwide,

:21:24.:21:25.

on the BBC Sport website - kick off is at 1pm.

:21:26.:21:39.

So with Storm Doris blown away, what better for a Friday evening

:21:40.:21:52.

than to start feeling more spring-like?

:21:53.:21:54.

In Barnsley, they've already started their lambing season,

:21:55.:21:56.

and given kids on half-term a real hands-on experience

:21:57.:21:59.

The farmers at Cannon Hall have - in a first for them -

:22:00.:22:04.

also given a wider audience that same experience,

:22:05.:22:06.

by broadcasting live on social media!

:22:07.:22:07.

New arrivals enjoying an afternoon nap before their next feed. This is

:22:08.:22:33.

lambing season at Cannon Hall farm. It's been an incredible busy week,

:22:34.:22:39.

with it being half term, and that sheep giving birth is week. We have

:22:40.:22:43.

had more triplets as a ratio than any time I can ever remember, so I

:22:44.:22:50.

will put it down to pledge for grass when they were making it the autumn.

:22:51.:22:56.

That must be the reason. It is partly because it is a family

:22:57.:23:01.

affair. His father has been farming for 58 years, and is fond of the

:23:02.:23:05.

young lambs. You get attached to quite a few animals in a way. You

:23:06.:23:12.

have to spend a bit more time with them, bringing them round,

:23:13.:23:14.

especially if they are looking like a lost cause and you bring them

:23:15.:23:20.

round. The special cases all the time. The lambs born this week

:23:21.:23:28.

include young Roger, who is one of three triplets, but his mum only has

:23:29.:23:32.

milk for two, so I am giving a helping hand.

:23:33.:23:39.

But this is not just about fluffy lambs. There meerkats and these

:23:40.:23:46.

piglets arrived this morning. But for most visitors, it's all

:23:47.:23:51.

about the lambs. It was cool seeing the man feeding the lambs, because

:23:52.:23:59.

they just look so cute. They are like little teddy bears, but

:24:00.:24:02.

walking. They are really cute. We haven't seen one give birth yet, but

:24:03.:24:07.

I'm hoping to see one today. This is what they are all waiting for. An

:24:08.:24:14.

easy delivery. She's called Shirley. And there's another one on the way.

:24:15.:24:18.

It was a bit more of a struggle to bring him into the world. Both mum

:24:19.:24:24.

and twins are doing well. Two sets of twins on the programme

:24:25.:24:34.

tonight! I know, people talk! What can I win

:24:35.:24:41.

tell us about the weather this evening?

:24:42.:24:46.

Let's have a look at some of your weather pictures first. Look at

:24:47.:24:54.

that. Some lovely blue sky, captured across-the-board in Yorkshire. Let's

:24:55.:24:58.

have a look at the next one as well. Thank you for these pictures, some

:24:59.:25:02.

swans there I think. As always, keep sending those into worse. -- into

:25:03.:25:09.

us. As I said, things are going downhill

:25:10.:25:13.

weather-wise, despite it being a lovely day today. Tomorrow will be

:25:14.:25:20.

cloudy, we will see rain at times. Not a brilliant forecast for

:25:21.:25:25.

Saturday, but better for Sunday. This is the band of rain moving in.

:25:26.:25:31.

We will see heaviest spells of rain over high ground. Temperatures down

:25:32.:25:38.

to five Celsius. A blustery start to do morrow. Let's look at the high

:25:39.:25:45.

water. That rain continues to move across towards the east throughout

:25:46.:25:50.

the day to borrow. It's not going to be a complete write-off, we will see

:25:51.:25:53.

some drier spells, especially as the rain moves over higher ground. Let's

:25:54.:25:57.

take you on a tour of the temperatures. Not a lot to talk

:25:58.:26:03.

about, ten or 11 Celsius. These winds are from a milder region, but

:26:04.:26:18.

they are mild but quite strong, so it will take away the warmth.

:26:19.:26:27.

Another one affront which -- another weather front pushes in on Sunday.

:26:28.:26:31.

It will still be quite blustery, with some rain later. Looking at the

:26:32.:26:37.

weekend and thinking what will be the best day, Sunday is a better day

:26:38.:26:40.

if you're going to get out and about because we will see more of that dry

:26:41.:26:47.

weather. More online. We are going to see some sunny spells over the

:26:48.:26:50.

weekend, Sunday is the best for that. Showers on Monday and Tuesday,

:26:51.:26:56.

we hold onto the strong breeze. The weekend, we have some usable

:26:57.:26:57.

weather! Is this to do with the confounded

:26:58.:27:06.

jet stream?! It has so got something to do with

:27:07.:27:10.

that, I will tell you more at ten 5pm.

:27:11.:27:16.

Hope you can join us then. -- 10:25pm.
