It has been a stunning day across Yorkshire. Will the sunshine last as | :00:41. | :00:48.
we head into the weekend? Join me for all the very latest. Good | :00:49. | :01:06.
evening. Thank you for joining us. A row about his views on women | :01:07. | :01:10.
priests. That is the second time that Right Reverand Philip North has | :01:11. | :01:15.
had to turn down a promotion over his position of women in the church. | :01:16. | :01:23.
In 2012, he accepted the role of Bishop of Whitby, only to step down | :01:24. | :01:25.
later. A Church of England clergy man has | :01:26. | :01:26.
refused to take up the post of It is not the first time the right | :01:27. | :01:29.
reverend Philip North has stepped aside amongst | :01:30. | :01:41.
public pressure. Back in 2012 there was outcry | :01:42. | :01:42.
when he was nominated for the Bishop of Whitby, so | :01:43. | :01:45.
much so he withdrew. In the last few hours, he has | :01:46. | :01:47.
announced he will not become the His problem is his view | :01:48. | :01:50.
on women and his belief Although he is very clear | :01:51. | :01:53.
he stands for equality and wants to see women flourish, | :01:54. | :01:59.
and he is really clear about that, I think the very fact he will not | :02:00. | :02:02.
ordain women himself has the potential to give | :02:03. | :02:05.
out a very negative message that somehow | :02:06. | :02:07.
the Church of England is | :02:08. | :02:08.
a discriminatory organisation. Today in a statement, | :02:09. | :02:10.
Philip North said It was 23 years ago that | :02:11. | :02:11.
some of the first women priests were ordained | :02:12. | :02:39.
at Sheffield Cathedral. More recently, in 2015, | :02:40. | :02:41.
clergy from all over the world came to York to witness the consecration | :02:42. | :02:46.
of the first women Bishop, Libby The two are friends | :02:47. | :02:49.
and were concentrated Women who work with Philip North | :02:50. | :02:53.
says he respects everyone. For many, his refusal | :02:54. | :03:02.
to ordain or take communion from a women | :03:03. | :03:04.
is a sticking point. Well the Archbishop of York, | :03:05. | :03:06.
Dr John Sentamu, joins us live. Could this reaction have not been | :03:07. | :03:15.
anticipated? It has happened before in Whitby. Yes, in Whitby when he | :03:16. | :03:24.
was appointed, there was not a massive protest. Three people | :03:25. | :03:29.
protested and went on social media. We did not have the five guiding | :03:30. | :03:34.
principles in 2012. In 2014, the house of Bishops said women could | :03:35. | :03:42.
become bishops and be ordained and that those who have theological | :03:43. | :03:46.
objection to receiving the Ministry of women could still continue to be | :03:47. | :03:50.
part of the Church of England and offer communion. That settlement | :03:51. | :03:55.
allowed to things to happen, he women Bishop to be consecrated and | :03:56. | :04:00.
for Philip to be consecrated not by me, but three other bishops. Use. | :04:01. | :04:10.
Five guiding principles allowed flourishing, this is not what has | :04:11. | :04:15.
happened this time. Does the Church of England except this was wrong? | :04:16. | :04:18.
This was a wrong appointment, bearing in mind that this media | :04:19. | :04:24.
interest that you have got? It was not the wrong appointment. People | :04:25. | :04:29.
were interviewed and the commission came to view, he was the right | :04:30. | :04:40.
person to be appointed and would follow the guiding principles, | :04:41. | :04:43.
because of his ministry about difficulties, big estates. He is a | :04:44. | :04:50.
man of real passion for people and loves people. In his ministry as a | :04:51. | :04:56.
priest, he has sponsored more women to train for the ministry as | :04:57. | :05:05.
priests. You are still alienating, are you not, 50% of the population? | :05:06. | :05:09.
You heard one of the priests say that it sends out the wrong message | :05:10. | :05:14.
that there is a prejudice against women in the church of England, do | :05:15. | :05:17.
you not see the logic of that argument? I am sorry, logic | :05:18. | :05:25.
sometimes does not help to solve problems which we, in the family, | :05:26. | :05:30.
have accepted. Equivocal bully everybody will accept women as | :05:31. | :05:38.
bishops and deacons. -- equivocal bully. The largest part of... We | :05:39. | :05:51.
want to still remain as part of the family in Congress case | :05:52. | :05:59.
conversation. Can I just as one final question? What happens now in | :06:00. | :06:02.
Sheffield? Is this something that nobody would want to take an? No, | :06:03. | :06:11.
that is not true. They have made and will make the decision soon. There | :06:12. | :06:17.
will be an alternative name given. I do not think that is going to be the | :06:18. | :06:22.
case. What is so sad for me, people disagreed with Philip in a very | :06:23. | :06:26.
unchristian way. This cannot be allowed. John Sentamu, thank you | :06:27. | :06:31.
very much for joining us this evening. | :06:32. | :06:36.
South Yorkshire Police is in the spotlight again tonight | :06:37. | :06:38.
for the wrong reasons - over its tactics during the miners' | :06:39. | :06:40.
strike in the 1980s - and its handling of the large scale | :06:41. | :06:47.
sexual exploitation of young girls in Sheffield. | :06:48. | :06:50.
But first, BBC Yorkshire has obtained newly | :06:51. | :06:53.
declassified documents that show Margaret Thatcher's | :06:54. | :06:55.
government feared a "witch hunt" if a public inquiry was held | :06:56. | :06:57.
into the policing of the miners' strike. | :06:58. | :06:59.
The documents show that despite thousands of police officers | :07:00. | :07:01.
and miners violently clashing at Orgreave, the government felt no | :07:02. | :07:04.
investigation should be held into how the police | :07:05. | :07:06.
For over 30 years, these images and what they represent have | :07:07. | :07:12.
For some, these are working men, struggling to protect | :07:13. | :07:16.
their jobs and communities at the so-called Battle of Orgreave, | :07:17. | :07:19.
the height of the miners' strike in 1984. | :07:20. | :07:22.
For others, this is the police upholding the rule of law in the | :07:23. | :07:25.
Look North has seen previously classified documents that show that | :07:26. | :07:36.
at the end of the strike, Home Secretary Leon Brittan | :07:37. | :07:38.
governement should not encourage any form of public enquiry. | :07:39. | :07:42.
The documents also show that senior officials wanted | :07:43. | :07:46.
the message to simply be, the rule of law had won. | :07:47. | :07:49.
There was no need to investigate the conduct of | :07:50. | :07:53.
They still have the same opinion today in 2017 as they had in 1985 - | :07:54. | :08:00.
For former miners, they say these documents | :08:01. | :08:03.
The suspicion is never going to go away that this was | :08:04. | :08:08.
orchestrated right from 10 Downing St to defeat the miners | :08:09. | :08:12.
and to use the police as a battering ram. | :08:13. | :08:19.
burying this, you are thinking, what's next? | :08:20. | :08:23.
The files also detail the attitude of South Yorkshire | :08:24. | :08:25.
What I detect from those documents is | :08:26. | :08:30.
that certainly there was a degree of confidence within | :08:31. | :08:32.
They way the police were so dismissive | :08:33. | :08:39.
but it is pretty clear they believe they had the full | :08:40. | :08:42.
confidence of the then Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher. | :08:43. | :08:44.
These files are not only relevant to what | :08:45. | :08:46.
happened during the strike, five years later South Yorkshire Police | :08:47. | :08:48.
would be centre stage in the | :08:49. | :08:49.
aftermath of the Hillsborough disaster. | :08:50. | :08:55.
The two events, Hillsborough and Orgreave, cannot be separated. | :08:56. | :08:57.
You cannot have the full truth about Hillsborough until we | :08:58. | :09:03.
also know what happened four years earlier when the same police force, | :09:04. | :09:08.
employed the same tactics that they were later to do | :09:09. | :09:10.
against the Liverpool supporters, but this time against the miners. | :09:11. | :09:13.
The Home Office says the police system has fundamentally changed | :09:14. | :09:16.
in the last 30 years and that very few lessons will be learned | :09:17. | :09:19.
The Home Secretary last year set out her reasons for not holding an | :09:20. | :09:23.
In this situation in Orgreave, there were no | :09:24. | :09:27.
For the miners, they say their campaign continues. | :09:28. | :09:38.
Apart from the files held by the Home Office, | :09:39. | :09:45.
65 files are also being held by South Yorkshire Police. | :09:46. | :09:48.
I asked the Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Billings wasn't it | :09:49. | :09:51.
about time they put these files in the public domain? | :09:52. | :09:53.
In a sense, that is what we are trying to do. | :09:54. | :09:56.
They have all been gone through, basements, attics, everywhere, | :09:57. | :10:01.
to try and get everything together and make | :10:02. | :10:03.
It is in the Sheffield archives and the plan | :10:04. | :10:08.
was to hand it over to the | :10:09. | :10:10.
Now that is not happening, we have to have a managed | :10:11. | :10:13.
Some things that may have to be redacted because it | :10:14. | :10:32.
has personal information in there, that sort of thing. | :10:33. | :10:34.
I totally accept the thrust of your question and that is | :10:35. | :10:38.
why we worked with the Orgreave truth and justice campaign. | :10:39. | :10:41.
We're not trying to delay here, quite the | :10:42. | :10:43.
We want to get them into the public domain as quickly as we | :10:44. | :10:47.
The problem is this, if you were to go into a mining area now, | :10:48. | :10:52.
it is almost like Orgreave and the miners' strike | :10:53. | :10:54.
That is where that frustration comes in. | :10:55. | :10:58.
If I had my way, there would hve been a public | :10:59. | :11:13.
I think you are right to suggest that | :11:14. | :11:16.
if public trust and confidence in Yorkshire police is to be fully | :11:17. | :11:19.
restored and if the police themselves are to get underneath all | :11:20. | :11:24.
this stuff, we want it in the public domain. | :11:25. | :11:33.
We want all to be open, transparent and we all want to | :11:34. | :11:35.
That is what we have got to do as quickly as we | :11:36. | :11:39.
My funding of an archivist is designed to ensure that | :11:40. | :11:44.
The Orgreave campaigners feel that they | :11:45. | :11:46.
The previous Home Secretary and now the | :11:47. | :11:49.
Prime Minister and then the new Home Secretary comes | :11:50. | :11:51.
in and destroys their hopes of a public enquiry. | :11:52. | :11:54.
There is a difficulty now because I think the previous | :11:55. | :11:56.
Home Secretary, now Prime Minister, led them up to | :11:57. | :11:58.
the top of the hill and the present Home Secretary marched them down. | :11:59. | :12:01.
I think we could have an independent means of managing this process now | :12:02. | :12:06.
that is a bit short of a full enquiry, which the campaign | :12:07. | :12:09.
done and should be done in fairness and justice to them. | :12:10. | :12:14.
Next tonight; thirty current and former police officers | :12:15. | :12:16.
in South Yorkshire could be facing criminal charges over Rotherham's | :12:17. | :12:19.
The police watchdog has confirmed today that there are still a number | :12:20. | :12:22.
of officers it wants to talk to as it investigates what police | :12:23. | :12:27.
knew about 1400 girls in the town being abused over a 20 year period. | :12:28. | :12:30.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission | :12:31. | :12:31.
So far nine investigations into police wrong doing | :12:32. | :12:35.
have been concluded - but the investigator decided | :12:36. | :12:36.
211 allegations are being looked into - | :12:37. | :12:44.
and 91 police officers are still part of the investigation. | :12:45. | :12:46.
30 them could face criminal or misconduct charges. | :12:47. | :12:48.
1400 victims, 19 prosecuted. Hundreds of allegations about | :12:49. | :13:05.
feelings but no officers disciplined yet. Two and a half years after the | :13:06. | :13:09.
scandal was first revealed, there are still many questions about the | :13:10. | :13:15.
role of South Yorkshire Police. Nine investigations into allegations | :13:16. | :13:19.
about police have found there was no case to answer. One survivor has | :13:20. | :13:25.
told us she has no face in the IGCC whatsoever to get this right. I am | :13:26. | :13:30.
disappointed. I feel frustrated by it but I am not surprised. I had no | :13:31. | :13:36.
faith in them for various reasons. There have been a lot of time past | :13:37. | :13:41.
but it has come out in court cases and a lot of evidence destroyed, | :13:42. | :13:45.
deliberately lost and you can only do something with evidence, it can't | :13:46. | :13:49.
be one person's word against the other. The Independent Police | :13:50. | :13:54.
Complaints Commission says this is the biggest investigation since the | :13:55. | :13:59.
Hillsborough enquiry and has identified failings and how we South | :14:00. | :14:03.
Yorkshire Police dealt with the issue. There has found there was a | :14:04. | :14:07.
lack of evidence in some cases and refuse to be drawn on whether any | :14:08. | :14:12.
officers would be facing prosecution in future. We do not know if there | :14:13. | :14:17.
will be any charges. At the moment, for us, some of our investigations | :14:18. | :14:23.
are criminal investigations as of them are conduct investigations. | :14:24. | :14:26.
Some of the allegations involve a number of retired officers. Victims | :14:27. | :14:32.
say they want justice. Do you trust them to get this right? No, it is | :14:33. | :14:38.
about justice. Lots of people played a role in this. The main people who | :14:39. | :14:43.
did wrong whether abusers but there were so many failings within the | :14:44. | :14:48.
authorities. The icing, we are sorry and lessons have been learnt that I | :14:49. | :14:53.
do not think they have. -- they are saying. They are looking for a | :14:54. | :14:57.
conclusion by the end of 2017. 110 guns, more than 150 knives | :14:58. | :15:04.
and 300 rounds of ammunition have been handed in at police stations | :15:05. | :15:07.
across West Yorkshire - as part of a two week | :15:08. | :15:09.
long weapons amnesty. It comes as figures out today show | :15:10. | :15:11.
that the number of people caught carrying knives | :15:12. | :15:14.
in West Yorkshire has risen The weapons will be now be examined | :15:15. | :15:16.
by forensic officers - and some will be used for a knife | :15:17. | :15:20.
sculpture being created as a tribute Two weeks ago, all these weapons | :15:21. | :15:32.
were out on the streets of west Yorkshire. Now we have got hold of | :15:33. | :15:37.
them, we are in a safer place. Some will go to Leeds armoury and some | :15:38. | :15:41.
will be disposed of. Some of the knives are going to a charity who | :15:42. | :15:43.
are building a statue. Latest figures show that ALL | :15:44. | :15:45.
the hospital trusts in our region - failed to meet the government's A | :15:46. | :15:51.
target in January - with the exception of | :15:52. | :15:53.
Sheffield Children's Hospital. Guidelines say that ninety five | :15:54. | :15:55.
percent of patients should be The figures released by NHS England | :15:56. | :15:57.
show that the Mid Yorkshire Trust only managed 77% of patients in that | :15:58. | :16:01.
time, while York Teaching Bereaved relatives of some | :16:02. | :16:04.
of Yorkshire's fallen soldiers were among those who witnessed | :16:05. | :16:11.
the unveiling by the Queen today of a memorial for the Armed Forces | :16:12. | :16:14.
who served in the Iraq The ?1 million memorial was designed | :16:15. | :16:17.
by sculptor Paul Day - and also marks the contribution made | :16:18. | :16:26.
by civilians in both conflicts. The event in London | :16:27. | :16:31.
was attended by more than 2,000 Among them was the mother | :16:32. | :16:33.
of Corporal Kris O'Neill, from Halifax, who died | :16:34. | :16:36.
in Iraq in 2007. The service was gorgeous and the | :16:37. | :16:45.
memorial, it is nice to see that the country has got behind the memorial. | :16:46. | :16:49.
It is the people of this country who have paid for it and they are | :16:50. | :16:54.
showing their respect for our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. | :16:55. | :16:58.
Barnsley Council is spending a total of a hundred and twenty million | :16:59. | :17:01.
pounds on the redevelopment of the town centre. | :17:02. | :17:07.
'The Glass Works' in the centre of Barnsley | :17:08. | :17:12.
will include a cinema, bowling alley, market and library. | :17:13. | :17:14.
If the scheme gets planning permission, it'll be completed | :17:15. | :17:26.
in three years' time and will create around 800 | :17:27. | :17:28.
People have been waiting 15 years for this. It was first muted in | :17:29. | :17:40.
2002. We are now in 2017, there has been a lot of disbelief along the | :17:41. | :17:44.
way, but finally the day is here that we can say it will definitely | :17:45. | :17:45.
go ahead. Now, have you been watching | :17:46. | :17:46.
The Big Painting Challenge? If not, then imagine a 'Great | :17:47. | :17:50.
British Bake Off' for artists! The BBC One show has become must-see | :17:51. | :17:53.
viewing for a Sunday tea time, and one of its stars is from right | :17:54. | :17:56.
here in Yorkshire. Suman Kaur from Leeds has made it | :17:57. | :17:58.
through to the show's semifinal - after excelling at painting | :17:59. | :18:02.
landscapes, still life, It's lovely to meet you. Nice to | :18:03. | :18:14.
meet you. I understand that you had not done any painting before. You | :18:15. | :18:19.
were not trained, where you? I am self tarts or a lot of work was like | :18:20. | :18:25.
a hobby after work. -- self-support. Taking part in the short was not | :18:26. | :18:31.
your idea? Not really. I heard about it through a friend and my best | :18:32. | :18:36.
friend said you should enter this. I filled out the form right there | :18:37. | :18:40.
because he said, I am not leaving until you do it. Then I got a call. | :18:41. | :18:46.
Let's have a look at you in action. This is you doing what you do best, | :18:47. | :18:51.
by the looks of it. How are you feeling about the massive canvas? I | :18:52. | :18:55.
am feeling more relaxed now. It is looking good. Thanks for giving me a | :18:56. | :19:01.
general fish. It was a kick up the bum. -- giving me a massive push. I | :19:02. | :19:16.
could know sooner drop an elephant as I could an ant. How do you do it? | :19:17. | :19:22.
It was very stressful, wasn't it? It was the first time I painted at that | :19:23. | :19:28.
scale. You painted animals and it is not your thing? I thought, what do I | :19:29. | :19:32.
do and then I just went with what was right and came out with that. | :19:33. | :19:37.
What was it like taking part in the short? Have you enjoyed it? It is a | :19:38. | :19:42.
great experience and so different from working on your own. As an | :19:43. | :19:47.
artist, you are in your own studio space and having everyone around is | :19:48. | :19:52.
fantastic. It's a great atmosphere. Tell us about the portrait. What was | :19:53. | :19:59.
that about? It was the flamingos. That's how good I am at art. I did | :20:00. | :20:07.
not think it was my best one, to be honest. I prefer my elephant one. | :20:08. | :20:12.
You are always working hard to improve what you are doing, | :20:13. | :20:16.
especially working on hard. You have given up the day job already. What | :20:17. | :20:24.
was the day job? I was rehabilitating people with mobility | :20:25. | :20:32.
problems and helping them to get walking and working with amputees, | :20:33. | :20:36.
which was incredibly rewarding. I am sure it was but now you are | :20:37. | :20:40.
following your heart, aren't you? You have gone back to school. When | :20:41. | :20:44.
you meet people who have been through difficult times in their | :20:45. | :20:49.
lives or may be they have got their own goals that they have not | :20:50. | :20:52.
achieved and then they go through something traumatic and it gives | :20:53. | :20:57.
them determination to go after those goals, and then they achieve them, | :20:58. | :21:01.
it is so inspiring. I was thinking, I want to do this, so why not give | :21:02. | :21:06.
it a shot? They were your inspiration. Yes. And you have not | :21:07. | :21:15.
looked that. -- have not looked back? No. It is on at six o'clock on | :21:16. | :21:18.
Sunday. Nice to meet you. Yorkshire former world champion has | :21:19. | :21:32.
confirmed she will be back on home soil to run on the women's race on | :21:33. | :21:35.
Saturday 29th of April. The Women's Tour will take | :21:36. | :21:38.
place on the same course as Stage Two of the men's race, | :21:39. | :21:41.
starting in Tadcaster, and finishing It was easier when she was Lizzie | :21:42. | :21:44.
Armistead, wasn't it? It was. Some disappointing news now | :21:45. | :21:51.
for Yorkshire's Big Air - The Freestyle snowboarder | :21:52. | :21:57.
from Brighouse has suffered a broken back, and will have to miss | :21:58. | :22:01.
the World Championships in Spain. Ormerod describes the injury | :22:02. | :22:03.
as "nothing too serious" on social media, and hopes to return to action | :22:04. | :22:06.
before the end of the season. The teenager is one of Britain's | :22:07. | :22:09.
biggest medal hopes for the 2018 She has broken her back and says it | :22:10. | :22:21.
is not as serious. It is about as serious as it gets. | :22:22. | :22:22.
As we reported last night, changes are on the way | :22:23. | :22:25.
at the National Media Museum in Bradford. | :22:26. | :22:26.
It's been losing visitors and at one time, its future looked doubtful. | :22:27. | :22:29.
But from now on, it's going to be called | :22:30. | :22:33.
the National Science and Media Museum, and concentrate more | :22:34. | :22:35.
It's also opening a new interactive gallery and a spaceship is dropping | :22:36. | :22:40.
The it's been a Bradford favourite from more than 30 years, but over | :22:41. | :22:46.
the last ten, the Media Museum has lost around one third of its | :22:47. | :22:49.
Its director wants to woo them back, keeping the best of the | :22:50. | :22:53.
old, like this TV moments gallery, but also offering something new. | :22:54. | :22:57.
It is these kinds of investments in new and exciting and innovative | :22:58. | :23:00.
experiences for visitors that we are convinced | :23:01. | :23:05.
will attract people back and provide people with a reason to keep | :23:06. | :23:10.
coming back again and again and again. | :23:11. | :23:17.
Wonderlab is the museum's opening salvo, a new 1.8 million | :23:18. | :23:19.
interactive gallery which opened in two weeks. | :23:20. | :23:21.
We can only show you the entrance for now but it looks good. | :23:22. | :23:24.
It has been designed by Keithley artists Adept and uses | :23:25. | :23:26.
We have build essentially a laser harp. | :23:27. | :23:35.
As you walk through it, you pluck the strings | :23:36. | :23:38.
We wanted to create something that worked with light and sound | :23:39. | :23:47.
but something in a more unusual way where you could see the | :23:48. | :23:52.
light, hear the sound but have to work out how to make it work | :23:53. | :23:55.
It stops and make you think, how does this work? | :23:56. | :23:59.
How do science and art come together in this? | :24:00. | :24:03.
Another attraction arives in September, all | :24:04. | :24:05.
It's the Soyuz capsule that carried astronaut Tim Peak | :24:06. | :24:08.
back from International Space Station. | :24:09. | :24:10.
It's a deliberately scientific exhibit to underline the | :24:11. | :24:12.
When the new sign goes up, it will say the National | :24:13. | :24:15.
What can you say to people to assure them | :24:16. | :24:19.
that this isn't just another rebranding? | :24:20. | :24:20.
To some people the word media meant journalism | :24:21. | :24:22.
and newspapers, actually we are | :24:23. | :24:23.
about the science and technology of our collections of photography, | :24:24. | :24:25.
The new name provides a really clear focus about | :24:26. | :24:34.
what we're going to be doing in the future. | :24:35. | :24:38.
Will the changes be enough to halt the museum's decline? | :24:39. | :24:40.
Well, everyone in Bradford will certainly hope so. | :24:41. | :24:42.
It is that one word, "science", in the new name | :24:43. | :24:44.
that could be worth its weight in gold, attracting grants and funding | :24:45. | :24:47.
Science, it helps Paul to get his forecast right occasionally. Thank | :24:48. | :25:10.
you for the occasional bit. Let's look at some pictures. Here is a | :25:11. | :25:15.
beautiful one, my old stomping ground. This one is very special. | :25:16. | :25:21.
This was taken at Whitby Abbey. Very nice, too. Keep your pictures coming | :25:22. | :25:28.
in at the address. It has been a stunning day today. More cloud | :25:29. | :25:33.
around tomorrow. The bright start in the east and less windy. High | :25:34. | :25:38.
pressure in charge. The warm front will bring thicker cloud from the | :25:39. | :25:42.
north-west. Thick enough for a bit of drizzle over the Pennines. This | :25:43. | :25:47.
cold front will push in through Saturday. There could be a bit of | :25:48. | :25:54.
rain. Any rain amounts will be quite small. There is a satellite picture. | :25:55. | :26:01.
Spot the cloud competition. Not many in the sky. It is fine and clear at | :26:02. | :26:07.
the moment. Long, clear periods overnight. Later on, a veil of cloud | :26:08. | :26:13.
increasing from the west, but not before we have had widespread ground | :26:14. | :26:18.
frost. Real pirates down to one Celsius. Up to five in some areas. | :26:19. | :26:31.
-- countryside places. Here is the sunrise. It will already be cloudy | :26:32. | :26:38.
across the Pennines. The cloud thickens through the west. A little | :26:39. | :26:44.
drizzle and spots of rain in places. The emphasis is on dry weather and | :26:45. | :26:49.
much less windy compared with today. Let's look at the top temperatures. | :26:50. | :26:55.
13 Celsius today but down tomorrow because of the cloud. We are looking | :26:56. | :27:04.
at nine or 10 Celsius in your. Some areas only 11 Celsius. Friday | :27:05. | :27:09.
evening, cloudy and down in places. The emphasis on dry weather. As for | :27:10. | :27:14.
the weekend, was the cloudy on Saturday and patchy rain for north | :27:15. | :27:21.
and west Yorkshire. Sunday, the risk of patchy rain but drier and | :27:22. | :27:26.
brighter periods. Monday, dry with some sunshine. Temperatures will be | :27:27. | :27:32.
above the long-term average. That is the forecast. Time to ditch the | :27:33. | :27:36.
winter coat? Not yet. A bit premature. We are back at eight | :27:37. | :27:42.
o'clock and we will see you later at 10pm. Goodbye. | :27:43. | :27:47. |
