Good evening. Welcome to North West Tonight with Annabel Tiffin. And | :00:03. | :00:06.
Roger Johnson. Our top story: DNA dispute, the baby denied army | :00:06. | :00:11.
compensation following her soldier dad's death. The Prime Minister | :00:11. | :00:15.
says he's shocked and the situation "must be sorted". | :00:15. | :00:18.
Also tonight: Under attack, the fire fighters | :00:18. | :00:23.
fearing for their safety after being pelted with stones and bricks. | :00:23. | :00:26.
Up and away, the new airliner safeguarding the jobs of thousands | :00:26. | :00:36.
of workers in the region. It is cutting edge technology. This is | :00:36. | :00:40.
advanced materials. You put that together, it is looking very good | :00:40. | :00:42.
for the plant. The twins who had life saving laser | :00:42. | :00:49.
treatment before they were even And new to you, the long lost piece | :00:49. | :00:59.
:00:59. | :01:07. | ||
of music by Beethoven making its Private Daniel Wade from Warrington | :01:07. | :01:12.
was just 20 when he died for his country in Afghanistan. A tragic | :01:12. | :01:15.
loss to his family and one for which they would normally expect to | :01:15. | :01:18.
be fully compensated by the Government. But Private Wade's baby | :01:18. | :01:22.
daughter has been denied any payout. The Ministry of Defence refuses to | :01:22. | :01:26.
sanction the award without a DNA test to prove the child Lexi Mai is | :01:26. | :01:33.
really his. Now the Prime Minister's stepped in on her behalf. | :01:33. | :01:37.
Stuart Flinders reports. Spontaneous applause for Private | :01:37. | :01:42.
Daniel Wade at his funeral less than six months ago. He was killed | :01:42. | :01:48.
with five others in an explosion in Afghanistan. Wearing a cream jacket, | :01:48. | :01:52.
his fiancee, Emma Hickman, eight months pregnant at the time. The | :01:52. | :01:55.
baby has since been born and Lexi Mai, as she's called, would | :01:55. | :01:59.
normally qualify for compensation from the Government. But the | :01:59. | :02:04.
payment's been refused. According to the Ministry of Defence, there | :02:04. | :02:14.
:02:14. | :02:15. | ||
are complicated legal issues The MOD requires DNA evidence | :02:15. | :02:21.
proving that Lexi May is Daniel Wade's daughter. But it hasn't been | :02:21. | :02:24.
given his family's permission to obtain a sample from his remains. | :02:24. | :02:32.
Emma Hickman's MP has raised the matter in Parliament. I think this | :02:32. | :02:35.
is absolutely dreadful situation and it cannot be allowed to | :02:35. | :02:41.
continue. In other countries, particularly the US, the army | :02:41. | :02:46.
routinely takes DNA samples of active service men and women and, | :02:46. | :02:49.
obviously, that can be used as necessary. We do not do that here | :02:50. | :02:54.
and that is why we get into these situations. In a statement, Emma | :02:54. | :03:04.
:03:04. | :03:10. | ||
In May this year, hundreds of people were at Warrington parish | :03:10. | :03:13.
church for the funeral of Private Daniel Wade who died for his | :03:13. | :03:17.
country. Now his fiancee and their daughter believe his country owes | :03:17. | :03:23.
them something. But they may have to go to court to get it. | :03:23. | :03:26.
I'm joined now by Richard Foster, the area manager for the Royal | :03:26. | :03:33.
British Legion in Greater Manchester and Lancashire. Have you | :03:33. | :03:36.
ever heard of a case like this before? | :03:36. | :03:41.
I haven't. If I could turn it around, it is very interesting that | :03:41. | :03:47.
I have never heard of a DNA test being applied to the children of a | :03:47. | :03:51.
married couple after the father or mother has been killed on | :03:51. | :03:57.
operations that it is very surprising and disappointing. | :03:57. | :04:00.
you think everybody should be treated equally, whether they are | :04:00. | :04:04.
married, whether they were dressed partners, they should all get the | :04:04. | :04:10.
compensation? Indeed. The Royal British Legion has exercised that | :04:10. | :04:15.
policy. As long as a committed relationship is in evidence and it | :04:15. | :04:19.
can be as same-sex committed relationship, than the Legion does | :04:19. | :04:29.
:04:29. | :04:29. | ||
not draw any lines. It has never had any problem with supporting | :04:29. | :04:36.
families. You can understand the MoD has to set up rules and rules | :04:36. | :04:40.
on who can get compensation and they have to stick to them. | :04:40. | :04:46.
course. As a servicemen myself, I was 35 years in the Royal Air Force, | :04:46. | :04:50.
that is axiomatic to what we do. We would never comment on whether the | :04:50. | :04:56.
rules are right or take any political position, but the whole | :04:56. | :04:59.
point of our existence is to honour the dead, in this case Private | :04:59. | :05:06.
Daniel Wade, and to support the living, Lexi May. And we hope to | :05:06. | :05:10.
work hard to make sure they are properly supported after that | :05:10. | :05:14.
tragic loss. It is particularly apt this year because you poppy appeal | :05:14. | :05:19.
is focusing on the families of servicemen. Absolutely right. It is | :05:19. | :05:28.
that brought us Brecht from -- that broad spectrum we are talking about. | :05:28. | :05:32.
We are there to help them. Thank you very much for coming in and | :05:33. | :05:38.
talking to us. The job of a fire fighter is, by | :05:38. | :05:40.
its nature, hazardous. But fire fighters in Greater Manchester have | :05:40. | :05:43.
been facing an additional hazard in recent weeks. They've been coming | :05:43. | :05:46.
under attack from youths pelting them with stones and bricks. The | :05:46. | :05:49.
latest incident was last night in the Gorton area of Manchester. Fire | :05:49. | :05:52.
crews say it's got to stop before someone gets seriously hurt. This | :05:52. | :05:57.
from our chief reporter, Dave Guest. A run of the mill rubbish fire in | :05:57. | :06:01.
Gorton. This is bread and butter stuff for fire crews. But at this | :06:01. | :06:11.
incident, they've got an audience. Notice the youths in the background. | :06:11. | :06:19.
One of the youth's through a brick at the firefighters. It's difficult | :06:19. | :06:23.
to make out, but you can just see the youth hurling the brick which | :06:23. | :06:30.
hit one of the fire fighters striking him on the chest. A second | :06:30. | :06:36.
brick was then thrown. Fortunately, that one list. You don't expect | :06:36. | :06:41.
this when putting a fire out. attack was the 8th on fire crews in | :06:41. | :06:45.
Greater Manchester since the beginning of this month. Some years | :06:45. | :06:48.
ago, Greater Manchester Fire Service was at the forefront of a | :06:48. | :06:53.
campaign which saw the introduction of a new law which makes attacks on | :06:53. | :06:58.
emergency crews a specific offence. Here, they say, they need to make | :06:58. | :07:06.
sure that law is used to punish the perpetrators of such attacks. | :07:06. | :07:10.
Firefighters put their lives at risk every single day protecting | :07:10. | :07:15.
the community. They are to rescues and traffic conditions. I do not | :07:15. | :07:19.
expect my firefighters to be put out additional risk in the | :07:19. | :07:24.
community. On this occasion, no-one was hurt. But that's not always the | :07:24. | :07:27.
case. Fire fighters say their job is hazardous enough without others | :07:27. | :07:33.
trying to make it more hazardous. A Manchester United player has been | :07:33. | :07:36.
banned from the road for drink driving. 19-year-old Ryan | :07:36. | :07:39.
Tunnicliffe from Heywood crashed his Range Rover into a parked van | :07:39. | :07:43.
after drinking heavily the night before with his family. His front | :07:43. | :07:47.
seat passenger received minor injuries. The midfielder's been | :07:47. | :07:52.
banned for 18 months. No police action will be taken | :07:52. | :07:55.
against an Oldham footballer accused of racially abusing a ball | :07:55. | :08:01.
boy at Bramall Lane. The allegation against Lee Croft was made after | :08:01. | :08:04.
the match against Sheffield United earlier this month. He denied any | :08:04. | :08:09.
wrongdoing. There's been a huge rise in the | :08:09. | :08:13.
number of people diagnosed with whooping cough in the North West. | :08:13. | :08:16.
380 cases have been confirmed in the region so far this year | :08:16. | :08:19.
compared to 73 last year. Pregnant women are being urged to have a | :08:19. | :08:22.
vaccination in the hope they'll pass the protection on to their | :08:22. | :08:26.
unborn babies. 11,000 fish have been put into the | :08:26. | :08:29.
River Weaver in Cheshire today to restock it after 5,000 died there | :08:29. | :08:33.
in the summer. The Environment Agency said those that were killed | :08:33. | :08:36.
had been affected by algae in the water, which had reduced oxygen | :08:36. | :08:42.
levels. Plans have been approved for a new | :08:42. | :08:45.
skyscraper in Manchester city centre. The River Street Tower will | :08:45. | :08:50.
be 42 storeys high and will house 600 new apartments. It will be | :08:50. | :08:53.
built on a site near the Mancunian Way and will be the second tallest | :08:53. | :08:57.
building in the city after the Beetham Tower. | :08:57. | :09:00.
Next month, we have the most important elections of the year for | :09:00. | :09:03.
Police and Crime Commissioners. These are new positions with one | :09:03. | :09:07.
commissioner being elected per police force. Commissioners are | :09:07. | :09:10.
supposed to better reflect the views of the public and community. | :09:10. | :09:13.
But how feasible is that, given the size of the areas they're | :09:14. | :09:16.
representing? Our Political Editor Arif Ansari has been considering | :09:16. | :09:26.
:09:26. | :09:33. | ||
the challenge in Lancashire. On election patrol in Blackburn. | :09:33. | :09:37.
Lancashire Constabulary's new police and crime commissioner will | :09:37. | :09:41.
be expected to gather views in places like this and pass them on | :09:41. | :09:45.
to the Chief Constable. I am worried about these youngsters, | :09:45. | :09:49.
hanging out on the streets around because they've got no jobs and I | :09:49. | :09:54.
worry about the future of these youngsters. Doesn't matter if they | :09:54. | :09:59.
are Asian or English. They are this same. We hear about kids being | :09:59. | :10:05.
taken away. I want keep my kids are safe. We get teenagers after hours. | :10:05. | :10:11.
They will go around the area, smoking drugs and stuff. Those are | :10:11. | :10:15.
some of the issues facing the Community and Blackburn but how | :10:15. | :10:20.
different is it 20 miles away in love them? Up it is quite quiet of | :10:20. | :10:23.
an evening, but recently we live nearer college and we have had | :10:23. | :10:30.
quite a few gangs hanging around. The level of policing, I would say, | :10:30. | :10:35.
is adequate. To be honest, we don't have any particular problems here. | :10:35. | :10:40.
So, what does the commissioner do when one community's priorities are | :10:40. | :10:48.
different to another? There will be communities competing for the | :10:48. | :10:53.
police crime Commission and if one community gets ignored, it may | :10:53. | :10:57.
affect community tension. So, you think it could make things worse? | :10:57. | :11:01.
It could cause problems. There are all sorts of communities with | :11:01. | :11:05.
different needs and priorities. This woman runs an organisation | :11:05. | :11:09.
representing gay people. Discrimination is discrimination | :11:09. | :11:14.
across the board, whether it is around a -- religious context, | :11:14. | :11:18.
disability or sexuality. So, you had the police commissioner might | :11:18. | :11:22.
be able to bring communities together? That is an element of it. | :11:22. | :11:26.
With the limited resources and so many different communities, that | :11:26. | :11:33.
will be a big job. So, clearly, representing these | :11:33. | :11:38.
people is going to be extremely difficult. | :11:38. | :11:43.
I was at an event where Ed Miliband was launching as the Police | :11:43. | :11:46.
Commissioner elections for his party and it was a queue and a | :11:46. | :11:51.
session in which people were raising issues from services for | :11:51. | :11:57.
elderly people, services for younger people, all sorts of things. | :11:57. | :12:01.
Considering Lancashire has 16 MPs and there will only be one Police | :12:01. | :12:04.
Commissioner representing everybody, that is a huge job. The Government | :12:04. | :12:10.
would say it is better that one person does it than nobody. | :12:11. | :12:14.
So that is part of a series that we are building up. What other issues | :12:14. | :12:18.
will you be looking at was meant we will be going to other forces like | :12:18. | :12:22.
Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, and a range of | :12:22. | :12:25.
different issues from anti-social behaviour to gun crime to police | :12:25. | :12:30.
numbers. That police patrol will be out and about on this trip. | :12:30. | :12:35.
We look forward to seeing you in the back of a police car again. | :12:35. | :12:37.
The country's officially out of recession today and there's more | :12:37. | :12:40.
good news on the economic front. The aircraft manufacturer Airbus | :12:40. | :12:43.
says 6,000 jobs at its factory at Broughton near Chester have been | :12:43. | :12:48.
safeguarded by the new A350 airliner. The main production line | :12:48. | :12:51.
in France has officially opened and before the plane has even flown the | :12:51. | :12:55.
company has sold nearly 600 of the aircraft. Here's our Transport | :12:55. | :13:04.
Huge excitement in Toulouse as the A350 production line is officially | :13:04. | :13:09.
opened. There's a lot riding on the success of the plane including the | :13:09. | :13:19.
:13:19. | :13:19. | ||
future of 6,000 jobs at Broughton. Metal replaced by lighter materials | :13:19. | :13:28.
is a new way of building airliners. What you are looking at his a major | :13:28. | :13:34.
assembly delivered by another British company. They are based in | :13:34. | :13:39.
Prestwick and Preston. That is primarily carbon fibre | :13:39. | :13:44.
infrastructure. The plane as wide bodied, offering a quieter cabin | :13:44. | :13:49.
for passengers amongst other things. It isn't even flying yet, but | :13:49. | :13:55.
nearly 600 have already been bought by its airlines obviously attracted | :13:55. | :13:59.
by a 25% reduction in fuel costs. With many airlines due to replace | :13:59. | :14:02.
their fleets, experts reckon 27,000 aircraft will be needed in the next | :14:02. | :14:08.
20 years. 558 A350s have already been sold. 70% of the plane is made | :14:08. | :14:14.
of advanced materials bringing down the weight and running costs. In | :14:14. | :14:17.
Broughton, new engineering techniques have had to be learned | :14:17. | :14:21.
to make the wings which are mainly carbon fibre. This new factory has | :14:21. | :14:24.
cost 400 million and production is about to increase now that the main | :14:24. | :14:28.
French plant is up and running. is going to mean longer term job | :14:28. | :14:33.
security. This is cutting-edge technology using advanced materials. | :14:33. | :14:41.
Put that together and it is looking very good for the planned. -- for | :14:41. | :14:44.
the plant. With the celebrations over, the real work starts making | :14:44. | :14:47.
sure the A350 lives up to expectations. The first plane will | :14:47. | :14:52.
fly for real next year. That is impressive. | :14:52. | :14:57.
Still to come on North West Tonight: I will have more on the | :14:57. | :15:01.
mountain bike trail in Lancashire causing a headache for mountain | :15:01. | :15:08.
rescue teams. And new to you, the long-lost piece | :15:08. | :15:17.
of music by Beethoven making its world premiere in Manchester. This | :15:17. | :15:20.
is a very lovely story. Their chances of surviving to full | :15:20. | :15:24.
term were one in ten. But now twins Finlay and Oliver have made medical | :15:24. | :15:27.
history for the region. A faulty blood flow meant they weren't | :15:27. | :15:30.
developing properly in the womb. But Liverpool Women's Hospital | :15:30. | :15:34.
offered life-saving laser surgery before they were even born. Our | :15:34. | :15:42.
Health Correspondent Nina Warhurst Two perfect twin boys. Two very | :15:42. | :15:46.
proud parents who know how different life could have been. | :15:46. | :15:48.
Their 22 week scan revealed Finlay's artery way carrying too | :15:49. | :15:54.
much blood to Oliver, making their chance of survival just one in ten. | :15:54. | :16:04.
Heartbreaking for a couple who had already miscarried once before. | :16:04. | :16:11.
When we found out that was what we had, then we were devastated. We | :16:11. | :16:14.
thought we might not have a good outcome for. Today they were | :16:14. | :16:17.
reunited with the lady who saved their son's lives. Incredibly, she | :16:17. | :16:24.
performed laser treatment on the boys before they were even born. | :16:24. | :16:27.
They are gorgeous. Finlay wasn't getting enough nutrients and was | :16:27. | :16:30.
struggling to grow. Oliver's heart was under too much pressure from | :16:30. | :16:33.
the faulty artery. So Dr Bricker used a camera to identify the right | :16:33. | :16:36.
vessels and using a tiny laser, blocked the excess flow and the | :16:36. | :16:45.
twins' survival made history for the region. It is amazing to see | :16:45. | :16:49.
these two because it is our first successful double survivor from | :16:49. | :16:54.
this procedure in Liverpool and it has taken us some time to be able | :16:54. | :17:00.
to do this in the North West and it is important to us. When times were | :17:00. | :17:06.
hard, she came through and made us all laugh. The cleaners, the ladies | :17:06. | :17:10.
who brought us cups of tea, everybody. We want to thank | :17:10. | :17:15.
everybody for how well they have looked after us and for giving us | :17:15. | :17:22.
our to beautiful boys. -- two beautiful boys. The laser procedure | :17:22. | :17:26.
is still high risk. One in three babies will die. So Finlay and | :17:26. | :17:29.
Oliver's mum says one day when they're a bit bigger, she'll tell | :17:29. | :17:33.
them why they're so lucky to have each other. | :17:33. | :17:36.
That is a very cross baby! A adorable! | :17:36. | :17:39.
Now, the popularity of cycling has soared in the last few years thanks | :17:39. | :17:42.
to the likes of Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish with many people | :17:42. | :17:44.
taking up mountain biking, something that's caused problems in | :17:44. | :17:48.
rural East Lancashire. The Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue team says | :17:49. | :17:51.
it's struggling to cope with the number of callouts to injured | :17:51. | :17:53.
riders at Gisburn Forest. Stuart Pollitt reports. | :17:53. | :18:00.
It's not hard to see why you'd want More and more mountain bikers are | :18:00. | :18:08.
making tracks here. So, too, though are mountain rescue teams. | :18:08. | :18:13.
We have seen a rapid increase, which has led to 11 call-outs this | :18:13. | :18:17.
year. So the amount of incidents is putting at risks the entire | :18:17. | :18:23.
operation? It is not getting that critical yet. As a small charity, | :18:23. | :18:28.
we only need 40,000 a year but we cannot afford to maintain that if | :18:28. | :18:33.
the level of incidents continues as it is. It was Martin's idea to open | :18:33. | :18:36.
the forest to cyclists 15 years ago. These trails now welcome 50,000 | :18:36. | :18:45.
people a year. We always try to learn from the incidents. We visit | :18:46. | :18:49.
the site where it has happened. It is comparable to other bike trial | :18:49. | :18:53.
centres and comparable to other outdoor activities. Nigel rides | :18:53. | :18:58.
here regularly. He's well equipped but says others aren't. He wants | :18:58. | :19:02.
them to be better trained. There is an increase in people and possibly | :19:02. | :19:08.
an increase in people who are not properly equipped. You know, simple | :19:08. | :19:12.
things like a lack of helmet. what is the most important thing to | :19:12. | :19:16.
be done? Training, the right equipment and following the colour | :19:16. | :19:21.
code. Most people come with the proper kit, that I have seen. | :19:21. | :19:27.
very safe, yes. You have got to write to your ability. If there is | :19:27. | :19:32.
no adrenalin, don't bother coming out. As the forest grows in | :19:32. | :19:36.
popularity, the onus is on each and every cyclist to make sure the | :19:36. | :19:42.
mountain rescue team doesn't become a victim of its success. | :19:42. | :19:52.

Football, and Dougie Freedman is the new Bolton Wanderers Manager. | :19:53. | :19:58.
He used to be called Doogie. Wanderers made the former Crystal | :19:58. | :20:01.
Palace boss their top target after the sacking of Owen Coyle more than | :20:01. | :20:05.
two weeks ago. News of the expected appointment leaked out from Palace | :20:05. | :20:13.
48 hours ago. I thought you were not going to | :20:13. | :20:18.
stop there. I know, I was so excited! And so it | :20:18. | :20:20.
was no surprise when it was confirmed this morning. Richard | :20:20. | :20:22.
Askam has been gauging the reaction of Bolton's fans. | :20:23. | :20:25.
He's young. Just 38. And was described by his new chairman today | :20:26. | :20:33.
as a man with drive and passion. is untried. Is he good, is he bat, | :20:33. | :20:39.
time will tell. It has been a tough 18 months. Let's hope the good | :20:39. | :20:43.
times come back. He will not be introduced to the media until next | :20:43. | :20:46.
week but there are a couple of quotes from him on the club's | :20:46. | :20:51.
website. He says, on surprisingly, that he is delighted to join Bolton | :20:51. | :20:55.
and he talks about how the club is geared up for the Premier League | :20:55. | :20:58.
and how excited he is about the challenge ahead. Before Freedman | :20:59. | :21:01.
left Crystal Palace, they went on an eight-match unbeaten run, taking | :21:01. | :21:04.
them up to fourth in the Championship. A former Scottish | :21:04. | :21:06.
international and Premier League striker, Freedman's playing | :21:06. | :21:11.
experience is deep and varied. But he is inexperienced as a manager | :21:11. | :21:20.
with less than two years under his belt at Palace. It is the same as | :21:20. | :21:24.
Owen Coyle. Young manager, untested but I think he deserves a chance. | :21:25. | :21:32.
And not 100% on the acquisition of him. Somebody new and young might | :21:33. | :21:36.
give them a boost. Because they need something. Dougie Freedman is | :21:36. | :21:38.
expected to watch Saturday's match against Middlesbrough from the | :21:38. | :21:46.
stands before taking charge of his first training session on Monday. | :21:46. | :21:50.
This next story is all yours, read all of it! | :21:50. | :21:52.
In the Champions League, Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini says | :21:52. | :21:56.
his side will need a miracle if they're to qualify from their group. | :21:56. | :21:58.
Despite taking the lead through Samir Nasri, City slumped to a | :21:58. | :22:03.
disappointing 3-1 defeat against Ajax. So far, after three games, | :22:03. | :22:12.
they're bottom of Group D with just one point. They say it is my fault | :22:12. | :22:17.
for this defeat, but on the beach, there are always 11 players. We | :22:17. | :22:22.
scored one goal, we missed some other trances. The second half, the | :22:22. | :22:26.
same. Blackburn Rovers' caretaker boss | :22:26. | :22:30.
Eric Black has picked up his first win since Steve Kean's departure. | :22:30. | :22:33.
This close-range effort early on from Grant Hanley was enough to | :22:33. | :22:41.
secure a 1-0 win at home to Sheffield Wednesday. Rovers are | :22:41. | :22:47.
fifth in the Championship. The former Burnley and Blackburn | :22:47. | :22:50.
footballer John Connelly has died. The winger, who also had spells at | :22:50. | :22:52.
Manchester United and Bury, played 20 times for England including | :22:52. | :22:57.
their opening match of the 1966 World Cup finals against Uruguay. | :22:57. | :23:07.
He was 74. He was Bernie's top scorer when they won the title in | :23:07. | :23:12.
1960 and also won the Championship with United. | :23:12. | :23:16.
We like to bring new musical firstRevolution even if there are | :23:16. | :23:19.
200 years old. A previously unheard Beethoven | :23:19. | :23:27.
score has been unearthed by an academic in Manchester. A professor | :23:27. | :23:30.
came across the rare piece of music when he was searching through the | :23:30. | :23:33.
composer's old notebooks. It's believed that it was written and | :23:33. | :23:36.
forgotten nearly 200 years ago. Today it made its debut at the | :23:36. | :23:39.
University of Manchester where it was performed in public for the | :23:39. | :23:42.
very first time. Kelly Foran reports. | :23:42. | :23:46.
A long last piece of music by one of the greatest composers in | :23:46. | :23:52.
history. It looks like a series of courts of no particular description. | :23:52. | :23:55.
But when I looked at it more closely, I realised it was a | :23:55. | :24:00.
complete him setting. He has clearly composed it himself because | :24:00. | :24:05.
he makes changes as he goes along. Tucked away for 200 years, it was | :24:05. | :24:12.
discovered by a professor at Manchester University. I was amazed | :24:12. | :24:16.
and thought, this is quite exciting to find a piece like this which we | :24:16. | :24:20.
didn't know Beethoven had written. A new addition to his output is | :24:20. | :24:30.
:24:30. | :24:39. | ||
quite a rare. It was performed It may well be an ancient piece of | :24:39. | :24:44.
music but it struck a chord with a whole new generation. To be | :24:44. | :24:50.
involved in a premier by a piece -- of a piece by Beethoven is a | :24:50. | :24:58.
fantastic. It has got some very special moments. It is great to see | :24:58. | :25:03.
the corrections he made. It is a real sense of occasion. And they | :25:03. | :25:13.
:25:13. | :25:19. | ||
hope it is no longer a forgotten Different from Beethoven's usual | :25:19. | :25:27.
compositions. It was quite mild in Macclesfield. | :25:27. | :25:32.
Then, when I came out of the car, it was very cold. | :25:32. | :25:36.
If you had listened to me yesterday, none of this would have been a | :25:36. | :25:41.
surprise to you! I am sure I should have known. | :25:41. | :25:44.
I thought you listened more than will Roger. | :25:44. | :25:49.
Talking about the cold weather, tonight is cold, Saturday looks | :25:49. | :25:54.
like being dried and bright and by Sunday, there is a chill in the air | :25:55. | :25:59.
but also some rain. This chart shows everything. You can see the | :25:59. | :26:03.
direction of the wind, it is pushing the mild air out of the | :26:03. | :26:07.
weight and the cold air extends everywhere. That moves in through | :26:07. | :26:13.
the night tonight. Through the day, you saw some sunshine, but some | :26:13. | :26:17.
places saw hardly any at all. As we head through the next couple of | :26:17. | :26:22.
hours, no matter how much cloud cover you have now, it will | :26:22. | :26:26.
gradually start to finish and disperse. From almost blanket cloud | :26:26. | :26:30.
cover through the day, through the night, the minute this guys start | :26:30. | :26:35.
to clear, the Blue comes in. We are talking about the temperatures | :26:35. | :26:42.
going much lower for many nights. Tonight, as a minimum, we could be | :26:42. | :26:49.
talking minus one. Towns and cities, two and three. The difference | :26:49. | :26:53.
tomorrow is it is chilly in the morning but the sun will be there | :26:53. | :26:57.
from the word go and what a nice- looking day we have got. It will be | :26:57. | :27:01.
a very pretty day. It is crisp and called but some really long spells | :27:01. | :27:08.
of sunshine. Look at the Pennines. They could be a light wintry flurry. | :27:08. | :27:15.
It will not amount to anything but it is something to look at. | :27:15. | :27:20.
Temperatures, 6 or 7. Were you listening? | :27:20. | :27:23. |
