A father whose son died in the Warrington bombing says

Martin McGuiness should be respected as a peace maker.

Colin Parry's son Tim died in the 1993 attack

along with Jonathan Ball, who was three.

Mr Parry said although he had respect for the former IRA leader

He's been talking to our political editor Nina Warhurst.

24 years and one day since Warrington's heart was ripped out by

a double bomb attack. The IRA took the lives of two children that

afternoon, Jonathan Ball and Tim Parry. Tempers macro father told me

today he does not hate the former IRA leader Martin McGuinness. He

came across as a very reasonable man, this may seem crazy, but in

later life he was an easy man to talk to. They first met in 2001 when

Martin McGuinness sought:'s permission to that it Warrington. In

2013 he was invited back. Colin welcoming Martin McGuinness as a

guest speaker at his flourishing peace Centre set up in memory of his

son. What happened in Warrington disgusted thousands in Ireland, who

took to the streets of Dublin asking for peace. McGuinness would later

condemned the attack. Many see this as a pivotal moment in the demise of

public support for the IRA. This was something that could not be

supported from the deaths of two children full stop I have four

children myself, if that happened to one of my children, that would have

had a very profound, deep impact on me as a father. Do you feel you

basically. Please stop working for Cuadrilla. I was bullied at school,

I don't like the idea of bullying in any shape or form Underwood put up

with it. Some campaigners say this isn't just about fracking, it's

about protecting democracy. The county council voted no to fracking

here and targeting suppliers here is one way to get the message across.

It doesn't matter to me who does those blockade as long as they take

place. And as long as the people who are still asleep have their eyes
