I've got the details of how you will be affected

These were the angry scenes outside a meeting

in Bristol's City Hall tonight, as councillors agreed a budget aimed

at saving ?100 million over the next few years.

Wiltshire has also set its budget today and plans to shed 100 jobs

Councillors were discussing a budget which will cut tens of millions

It seems like such a busy swimming pool at the moment.

The traffic in and out of here is quite high.

Bristol's been slower to make cuts than many other councils.

The contrast is particularly striking with Swindon.

Bristol's population is 440,000, about twice the size of Swindon.

The city has 28 libraries, while the Wiltshire town

Bristol provides 23 children's centres, Swindon has none.

Band D householders pay ?1,475 to the city council,

a lot more than the ?1,224 charged by the borough.

Bills will rise by 5% in the budget voted through this evening.

There will be further job losses but much more controversial,

The social glue that holds the city together is going to be eroded.

Our libraries, our community partnerships, our leisure

How are parks going to pay for themselves?

His first budget hasn't been an easy one for the city's new Labour mayor.

We are not saying this is a great thing.

That the consequences of this budget are great.

And one of the best things we can do for Bristol and for the people that

depend on the services of Bristol City Council

is to confront those challenges head on.

Police searches have continued on Broad Street throughout the day.

Specialist officers have combed garages and Gardens,

the sound of concrete drilling echoed down the alley.

The Hewletts underground reservoir supplies all the water

Now it's being drained for maintenance, giving our cameras

170 years ago when Cheltenham was running out of water,

this was the solution the Victorians came up with, the Hewletts

reservoir, and today we have a rare chance to look around.

So, this is one of our service reservoirs, this is where we keep

water before we deliver it to our customers.

So, we got it out of service at the moment for a routine

We are looking after these old Victorian assets

and we want to look after them for the long term.

When full, this tank can supply Cheltenham

for two or even three days, 45 million litres of clean water.

It may be huge down here but it is also hidden from sight.

Most people have no idea the reservoir exists.

As you can see, where we are standing at the moment,

just looks like a bit of a green and people are just have no clue

at all about what is actually under the ground.

This is one of our biggest reservoirs, where we store clean

water and we have got about 500 of these across the region

and a range anything from kind of the size of your bedroom to this

Soon, this vast space will be refilled, which will take about two

weeks, and then reservoir will continue to quietly supply

water to Cheltenham just as it has done for the last 170 years.

The favourite for this year's Cheltenham Gold Cup will miss

Thistlecrack, which is trained by Colin Tizzard in Somerset,

has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

although nothing significant in terms of the wind gusts.

Looks like Gloucestershire might fare best for dry weather

as the Welsh mountains knocks out a lot of the heaviest of the rain

but it is bits and pieces of drizzly rain through the afternoon

Look at that, 12, 13 Celsius, 55 in Fahrenheit.

Now, you may be aware that Storm Doris is on its way towards the UK.

It comes in Thursday and gives us some rain first thing.

As that cold front pulls away, a real squeeze on the isobars.

It will be windy and in Gloucestershire, the Met office

weather warning for the strength of the wind gusts could be up to 50

miles per hour, perhaps more, on Thursday afternoon.
