Chrissie Reidy and John Young. Tonight's top stories: The wife of | :00:11. | :00:15.
the stunt rider Eddie Kidd is jailed for beating him as he sat in his | :00:15. | :00:20.
wheelchair - there's chaos outside the courtroom. This is an entirely | :00:20. | :00:25.
appropriate sentence. These are crimes against a vulnerable victim. | :00:25. | :00:28.
Fighting for his life in hospital tonight - the petrol station worker | :00:28. | :00:33.
carried on the bonnet of a car as he tried to stop a thief. Our reporter | :00:33. | :00:35.
Simon Jones is in West Kingsdown for us this this evening. | :00:36. | :00:39.
Also in tonight's programme: the RAC criticises Brighton and Hove City | :00:39. | :00:43.
Council for having the sixth highest parking charges outside London. | :00:43. | :00:46.
And it's an art auction in a railway station as funnyman Vic Reeves' | :00:46. | :00:54.
collection goes under the hammer. consider it all art. Acting and | :00:54. | :00:57.
painting and making pots is all artwork. It is different guises. | :00:57. | :01:01.
And how far would you travel to find the best fish and chips? All the way | :01:01. | :01:11.
:01:11. | :01:18. | ||
Good evening. The estranged wife of the paralysed former motorbike stunt | :01:18. | :01:21.
rider Eddie Kidd has been given a five-month sentence for assaulting | :01:21. | :01:23.
him. Samatha Kidd, who's from Seaford in East Sussex pleaded | :01:24. | :01:27.
gulity to beating the 54-year-old star, who uses a wheelchair, over a | :01:27. | :01:29.
four-month period. The judge told Samatha Kidd the sentence reflected | :01:30. | :01:36.
"the severity of the abuse of trust and power". | :01:36. | :01:42.
Perceiving, Samatha Kidd is getting ready to spend the first night | :01:42. | :01:47.
behind bars for punching, slapping and throttling her husband Eddie | :01:47. | :01:51.
Kidd on four separate occasions. would like to say this has been a | :01:51. | :01:57.
particularly sad case from the outset but I am especially pleased | :01:57. | :02:01.
that Samatha Kidd has admitted her wrongdoings and has been brought to | :02:01. | :02:05.
justice. Last summer, Samatha Kidd cheered Eddie Kidd on as he carried | :02:05. | :02:15.
:02:15. | :02:17. | ||
the Olympic flame through Lewes. But she furiously beat him, tried to | :02:17. | :02:23.
strangle him and had to be pulled off by a witness who described the | :02:23. | :02:33.
:02:33. | :02:34. | ||
paralysed Eddie as... In 1929 he jumped 80 foot across an Essex | :02:34. | :02:38.
railway bridge and in 1993 he jumped across the great Wall of China. | :02:38. | :02:43.
During his career, he made more than 10,000 jumps and appeared as a stunt | :02:44. | :02:46.
double in films including James Bond films but his life changed for ever | :02:46. | :02:52.
when he suffered serious injuries in a crash in 1996. Since then, he has | :02:52. | :02:56.
raised thousands of pounds for charity including walking the London | :02:56. | :03:00.
Marathon in 50 days. Today, the court heard how Eddie Kidd was also | :03:00. | :03:06.
verbally abused by his wife. It is just as important as physical abuse | :03:06. | :03:15.
and it adds up to a grim picture. There is a bigger picture here. It | :03:15. | :03:21.
shouldn't happen but it is all too common. The judge said he had to | :03:21. | :03:24.
sentence from the highest guidelines because this was repeated violence | :03:24. | :03:30.
on a Honourable disabled man who Samatha Kidd did not shy away from | :03:31. | :03:35.
assaulting. The defence team described Samatha Kidd as a victim | :03:35. | :03:38.
also, somebody who could not cope with the deterioration of her | :03:38. | :03:42.
husband of three years but the judge said the assaults would have left | :03:42. | :03:44.
Eddie Kidd feeling powerless and alone and she must serve a prison | :03:44. | :03:48.
sentence. A garage manager from Kent is | :03:48. | :03:51.
fighting for his life tonight after he was carried half a mile down the | :03:51. | :03:55.
road on the bonnet of a car when he tried to stop the driver from | :03:56. | :03:58.
leaving the forecourt without paying for fuel. Lekshmanan Asokkumar was | :03:58. | :04:01.
seriously injured at the Texaco service station at West Kingsdown | :04:01. | :04:04.
near Sevenoaks which he runs with his wife. Our reporter Simon Jones | :04:04. | :04:07.
is there. The police really are throwing a lot of effort into | :04:07. | :04:17.
:04:17. | :04:20. | ||
finding this car driver? Yes, this happened yesterday afternoon just | :04:20. | :04:23.
after 2pm. The manager became suspicious about a black car which | :04:23. | :04:27.
had arrived on the forecourt, there was a man and a woman inside, it | :04:27. | :04:33.
took around 40 of fuel and then he went to talk to them and was hit and | :04:33. | :04:36.
carried right down the road. Tonight, bosses are offering a | :04:37. | :04:45.
5,000 reward for information leading to a conviction. This is | :04:45. | :04:48.
Lekshmanan Asokkumar on the bonnet and then he was left for dead. A | :04:48. | :04:53.
popular manager of a garage, this was him last year filmed with his | :04:53. | :04:56.
wife. I think they are the lowest below and hopefully somebody will | :04:57. | :05:02.
see this on the news and in the papers and know who these people are | :05:03. | :05:06.
or maybe they will get a guilt complex because at the end of the | :05:06. | :05:10.
day, they could've killed my husband, the father of his two | :05:10. | :05:14.
children and I think it is despicable. People who know him say | :05:14. | :05:17.
they are not surprised he challenged the driver trying to get away | :05:17. | :05:22.
without paying. Vic Reeves shock, horror. 15 years in this particular | :05:23. | :05:25.
industry, I have never come across the likes of this before, | :05:25. | :05:32.
thankfully. Our thoughts are with the thoughts and directors and his | :05:32. | :05:37.
wife Judy and himself, we have for a speedy recovery. It is not clear | :05:37. | :05:41.
whether he fell off my crappy car or whether he was pushed off but the | :05:41. | :05:45.
police reaction to what happened is clear. The driver of that vehicle | :05:45. | :05:49.
had ample opportunity to stop. The length of the journey between the | :05:49. | :05:52.
service station and where he was thrown off is significant. | :05:53. | :05:59.
Consequently, inevitably the consequences are that he would | :05:59. | :06:03.
sustain serious injuries. Garage owners are advised not to risk their | :06:03. | :06:07.
own safety when confronted with suspected fuel thieves but everybody | :06:07. | :06:10.
is shocked at the length is one driver was prepared to go to to get | :06:10. | :06:16.
away. This happened at a busy time of the afternoon so the police are | :06:16. | :06:20.
appealing for witnesses to come forward. Last year, the number of | :06:20. | :06:25.
people driving off without paying from garages in Kent rose up to | :06:25. | :06:31.
2000, perhaps a sign of the economic times. Nobody expected would happen | :06:31. | :06:37.
here yesterday no matter how keen they are to deal with the problem. | :06:37. | :06:40.
In a moment, how Kent could have been deliberately flooded in the | :06:40. | :06:45.
1980s to prevent London being swamped by a tidal surge. | :06:45. | :06:49.
An inquest into the death of a soldier from Kent - and the second | :06:49. | :06:52.
person to be awarded a Victoria Cross in Afghanistan - has found | :06:52. | :06:55.
that he was unlawfully killed by enemy attack. Lance Corporal James | :06:55. | :06:59.
Ashworth, who was 23, died as he came under attack, trying to protect | :06:59. | :07:08.
his team in Helmand province last year. | :07:08. | :07:16.
As Lance Corporal James Ashworth pro cover, -- broke cover, he was hit by | :07:16. | :07:21.
a bullet. Today his family were in court to hear the coroner's verdict | :07:21. | :07:27.
of unlawful killing. James passed away doing a job he loved. At times | :07:27. | :07:37.
it was hard but he experienced one of her friends. Then Nick named for | :07:37. | :07:40.
him that when the nickname for him was Jimmy and I know they miss him | :07:40. | :07:45.
as much as we do. He was killed by his own grenade as he served in | :07:46. | :07:49.
Afghanistan. In May, he was posthumously awarded the Victoria | :07:49. | :07:56.
Cross. The country's hires reward -- highest reward. A coroner ruled that | :07:56. | :08:01.
he was unlawfully killed. His family collected his gallantry award in | :08:01. | :08:08.
May, only the second soldier to be awarded the Victoria Cross in the 12 | :08:08. | :08:11.
year conflict in Afghanistan. His father spoke ahead of collecting the | :08:11. | :08:20.
award. Model -- we have a lot of pride but it brings back a lot of | :08:20. | :08:24.
grief as well so it will be an extremely difficult day but it will | :08:24. | :08:30.
be a proud day. He is thought of everyday by all of us. Lance | :08:30. | :08:32.
Corporal Ashworth's commanding officer said he was the bravest | :08:33. | :08:40.
Plans drawn up by one of Britain's leading architects to redevelop | :08:40. | :08:42.
Folkestone seafront have been agreed by councillors. Sir Terry Farrell's | :08:42. | :08:45.
designs were commissioned by the local businessman, Roger De Haan. | :08:45. | :08:48.
They include up to 1,000 new homes, business space and sports facilities | :08:48. | :08:58.
on a 23-hectare site. People leaving Gatwick on Ryanair | :08:58. | :09:01.
flights are unwittingly spending a little longer in the skies to save | :09:01. | :09:05.
on fuel bills. To make up for a drop in profits, the airline's adding two | :09:05. | :09:08.
minutes to one-hour flights. Deputy chief executive Howard Millar denied | :09:08. | :09:15.
the extra time would significantly lengthen journeys. | :09:15. | :09:19.
It's official - Brighton and Hove City Council does make the most | :09:19. | :09:21.
profit from parking charges outside London, according to figures from | :09:21. | :09:25.
the RAC Foundation - 14 million - though the council says it's nearer | :09:25. | :09:28.
13 million. Traders and visitors have long complained about the Green | :09:28. | :09:30.
council's deliberate policy of high parking charges, though many | :09:30. | :09:33.
residents have welcomed it. Our political reporter Ellie Price joins | :09:33. | :09:42.
us from Brighton now. This seems like a huge amount of money. | :09:42. | :09:47.
does. We are talking about a profit made on top of the parking | :09:47. | :09:50.
operations are parking tickets, fines and residence permits. You may | :09:50. | :09:55.
remember earlier in the week there was a case where a counsellor in | :09:55. | :10:00.
north London was found to have used parking illegally to supplement the | :10:00. | :10:07.
budget. They must not do that but it has come as little consolation to | :10:07. | :10:13.
those who say that these are ruining their livelihoods. Resident of | :10:13. | :10:17.
visitor, parking in Brighton and Hove is not cheap. But the news it | :10:17. | :10:21.
is quite such a moneyspinner has angered those who think it is bad | :10:21. | :10:26.
for business. It limits what customers can spend and they come | :10:26. | :10:32.
here and so about 30 or 40% of it is taking up by parking charges. So it | :10:32. | :10:37.
is less money for the local economy. And for some, the glorious weather | :10:37. | :10:43.
was overshadowed by the parking meter. Absolutely disgusting. I live | :10:44. | :10:49.
in London and have just paid 10 for four hours. Taking my elderly mother | :10:49. | :10:52.
to the sea, I have to drop at the top, she does not have to disable | :10:52. | :10:58.
past but she is elderly. 10 is a lot of money. It is not a green | :10:58. | :11:01.
issue, it is not green to keep people moving around looking for | :11:01. | :11:07.
parking spaces. It is a crazy situation. It is expensive but I | :11:07. | :11:13.
really think something has got to be done to actually reduce the amount | :11:13. | :11:18.
of cars that are coming into the city. Come down to Madeira Drive | :11:18. | :11:23.
next to the seafront and parking for the whole day, that will cost 15. | :11:24. | :11:29.
And it is charges like that that other and the council 14.4 million | :11:29. | :11:38.
last year, an increase of 23% from 2009. The reality is the area is a | :11:38. | :11:45.
popular place and we think lots of people have come here. And while | :11:45. | :11:50.
many of them come by train or on the buses, a good number drive so we | :11:50. | :11:55.
have to try to manage the impact of that in terms of the impact on the | :11:55. | :11:59.
road network and the availability of parking. It is fine for local | :11:59. | :12:02.
authorities to operate a parking policy and get money out of it. It | :12:02. | :12:06.
is not fine or even legal for them to raise money in that way in order | :12:06. | :12:10.
to fund their general expenditures. The City Council here say they are | :12:10. | :12:15.
ploughing all the revenue back into other transport improvements like | :12:15. | :12:21.
buses. And encouraging parking of a different, green kind. I should say | :12:21. | :12:25.
that on the evidence we saw today, it has not stopped people coming to | :12:25. | :12:29.
the city and parking. We have trouble finding a space ourselves. | :12:29. | :12:33.
But the anger is coming from people who feel they need to use the cars | :12:33. | :12:38.
in the city and are being used to fund the council when it is not | :12:38. | :12:42.
It's emerged that Government officials thought of deliberately | :12:42. | :12:45.
flooding parts of Kent in the early 1980s to prevent central London from | :12:45. | :12:48.
being swamped by a tidal surge. Official papers have revealed that | :12:48. | :12:51.
gates for the Thames Barrier, that were under construction, had been | :12:51. | :12:54.
delayed by a strike, causing fears the capital could be left | :12:54. | :12:57.
unprotected. Sara Smith joins us live from the Thames Barrier in | :12:57. | :13:07.
:13:07. | :13:12. | ||
London. This sounds extraordinary? It does sound extraordinary. The | :13:12. | :13:16.
Government, thinking the unthinkable. Before the barrier he | :13:16. | :13:20.
was built, they were thinking of letting flood waters devastate Kent | :13:20. | :13:24.
or London. The archives show that it would be major political and | :13:24. | :13:31.
economic hub for the Government, not to mention a logistical nightmare. | :13:31. | :13:35.
1953 and a huge tidal surge along the east coast leaves 43,000 people | :13:35. | :13:40.
homeless and more than 300 dead. Nearly 30 years later, there were | :13:40. | :13:45.
fears of a similar type, this one threatening London. So this was the | :13:45. | :13:50.
plan - to protect the city. The only problem, the Thames barrier had not | :13:50. | :13:54.
been finished. The great steel gates which would hold back the tide were | :13:54. | :13:59.
stuck in the north-east because of a dockyard strike. It was time to | :13:59. | :14:02.
consider a secondary plan. And it was today at the National archive | :14:02. | :14:06.
Centre that the Plan B was revealed. Discussions at the highest level of | :14:06. | :14:12.
government, considered letting Kent floods to save the capital. They | :14:12. | :14:16.
talk about the possibility of explosives being used on certain | :14:16. | :14:21.
reaches of the Thames in order to deliberately make it burst its banks | :14:21. | :14:24.
and then that water might be diverted into Kent and Essex in | :14:24. | :14:31.
order to save London and the city. Without such a plan and before the | :14:31. | :14:33.
Thames barrier was built, London could only brace itself for | :14:33. | :14:43.
flooding. The Thames can only hold so much. A sudden surge tide and | :14:43. | :14:46.
London could be flooded. If you live, work, or travel in London, | :14:46. | :14:53.
make sure you know the flood drill. Ask for details now. They would move | :14:53. | :14:57.
the buses to the higher ground, warned people not to sleep in the | :14:57. | :15:03.
basements, they called it the flood drill. Now when the surge tide | :15:03. | :15:12.
approaches, the barrier gets into action. These were mock-ups, but | :15:12. | :15:17.
today the nightmare for Kent was revealed which was at least | :15:17. | :15:22.
considered for a possible alternative. In fact, the barrier | :15:22. | :15:27.
was finished by the end of 1982. No flood, no need to sacrifice London | :15:27. | :15:32.
or Kent and today, you can go and several years without it being used | :15:32. | :15:41.
or it can be used to dozens signs -- two dozen times in a year. | :15:41. | :15:46.
These are the top stories tonight: The estranged wife of the paralysed | :15:46. | :15:51.
former motorbike rider Eddie Kidd has been given a five-month sentence | :15:51. | :15:57.
for assaulting him. The judge told Samatha Kidd, who's from East | :15:57. | :16:00.
Sussex, that the sentence reflected "the severity of the abuse of trust | :16:00. | :16:02.
and power". Also in tonight's programme: how far | :16:03. | :16:06.
would you travel to taste the best fish and chips? A Brighton chippy is | :16:06. | :16:11.
drawing customers from as far away as China. | :16:11. | :16:18.
Will this hot weather continue? Two emulator to find out. -- join me | :16:18. | :16:22.
later to find out. For more than a week now, a small | :16:22. | :16:26.
village in Sussex has found itself at the centre of an international | :16:26. | :16:28.
row over oil production and we've brought you some extraordinary | :16:28. | :16:32.
pictures. If the company behind it hoped the protests in Balcombe would | :16:32. | :16:37.
soon die away, they've been sorely disappointed. Today, four more | :16:37. | :16:39.
people were arrested. Our environment correspondent Yvette | :16:39. | :16:48.
Austin has today's developments for Moved to the side. They ate and | :16:48. | :16:53.
tensions are running high and the test drilling for oil could | :16:53. | :16:59.
beginning at any time now. Holding up lorries, carrying equipment, that | :16:59. | :17:03.
is their main aim. The police are trying to clear their way. One woman | :17:03. | :17:08.
ended up on the floor and was treated for minor injuries. It was a | :17:08. | :17:12.
much calmer atmosphere earlier this morning when the protesters felt | :17:12. | :17:14.
they had the upper hand. They blocked the entrance to the site. | :17:14. | :17:23.
The protesters have brought in this decommissioned fire engine at | :17:23. | :17:27.
6:40am. There are two protesters chained to the steering wheel, two | :17:27. | :17:31.
more inside and two on the roof and they are standing firm. They are | :17:31. | :17:36.
having difficulty getting one door off so I have a feeling that we will | :17:36. | :17:40.
be here for a while. We have food and water and we can stay as long as | :17:41. | :17:46.
possible. A week might be optimistic we want to delay this process for as | :17:46. | :17:50.
long as possible. It did not last a week. Mid-morning and four | :17:50. | :17:53.
protesters are cut free by police with specialist equipment and | :17:53. | :18:01.
arrested. this test drilling goes ahead, it | :18:01. | :18:11.
:18:11. | :18:20. | ||
will lead to a wave of fracking. testing does involve some flaring if | :18:20. | :18:27.
there is gas, which are not expecting to find it but again it is | :18:27. | :18:32.
shielded. But the protests entered a new level. Many children from | :18:32. | :18:39.
Balcombe came to hear stories by a top political cartoonist. If the | :18:39. | :18:44.
company who are drilling here does this test well, the chances are they | :18:44. | :18:48.
can do it all over Sussex so I think it is something we should all be | :18:48. | :18:51.
concerned about. The fire engine may have been towed away but protesters | :18:51. | :18:56.
will no doubt be thinking now more ways to block work here. | :18:56. | :19:00.
That report by Yvette Austin and she joins us live now from Balcombe. Any | :19:00. | :19:06.
news on when the test drilling will start? What is lined up for the | :19:06. | :19:12.
ninth day? It has entered a pre-drilling phase. In the equipment | :19:12. | :19:15.
has gone in to be assembled and it is now being tested. Some changes | :19:15. | :19:20.
may have to be made but it suggests that we are close to that test | :19:20. | :19:25.
drilling. Tempers were afraid more today when the lorries began | :19:25. | :19:28.
arriving again. The protesters now in their heart of hearts they cannot | :19:28. | :19:37.
stop this drilling that they have succeeded in delaying it. | :19:37. | :19:40.
And you can find out much more about both sides of the argument on | :19:40. | :19:48.
fracking by logging on to the BBC's website. | :19:48. | :19:51.
A unique collection of paintings, sketches, pottery and sculptures are | :19:51. | :19:54.
up for auction this weekend. Not that surprising, perhaps until we | :19:54. | :19:58.
tell you who the artist is behind them. It's the artist and comedian | :19:58. | :20:01.
Vic Reeves, best known, perhaps, for his appearances on "Shooting Stars" | :20:01. | :20:05.
but he was having a clear-out of his home in Kent, so now they're up for | :20:05. | :20:08.
grabs. And as our reporter Robin Gibson explains, there's a final | :20:08. | :20:18.
:20:18. | :20:24. | ||
twist. The auction is in a railway You are entering the world of the | :20:24. | :20:31.
artist Jim Moir, also known as Vic Reeves. A small fraction of the art | :20:31. | :20:35.
he has been working on over many years. This is how he started out | :20:35. | :20:41.
and it is still how he sees himself. I do a lot of artwork in many forms | :20:41. | :20:45.
but this lot goes back about ten years. I don't count the years. | :20:45. | :20:52.
began in art, didn't you? Yes, I went to art school. I consider it | :20:52. | :20:57.
all art. Acting, painting, making pots, it is all art works in its | :20:57. | :21:04.
various guises. A one off artist in a one-off auction. Having it in a | :21:04. | :21:14.
:21:14. | :21:17. | ||
railway station seems very Vic years? I keep going back to it. It | :21:17. | :21:21.
will never be finished but somebody has bought it now. But I did say I | :21:21. | :21:26.
would come round to their house and touch it up every now and then. | :21:26. | :21:29.
is selling around 200 artwork from his Kent home because he has to make | :21:29. | :21:35.
space for more. It will be hard to say good night to the favourite when | :21:35. | :21:39.
the hammer finally falls. Some of them I would like to keep for ever | :21:39. | :21:43.
and never look at them and think I don't want to lose them but you have | :21:43. | :21:47.
to read things go. It is like letting go of children or creating | :21:47. | :21:53.
orphans. It is an exhibition as well so this is a chance to see another | :21:53. | :21:59.
side of a famous face. It includes some of his own memorable takes on a | :21:59. | :22:09.
:22:09. | :22:13. | ||
auction, I think you will agree. The Bluewater Shopping Centre in | :22:13. | :22:16.
Kent is a popular spot for many reasons but being a wildlife haven | :22:16. | :22:20.
is not one of them. And yet, we've discovered that it's home to a | :22:20. | :22:24.
nesting pair of peregrine falcons. They're not swooping through the | :22:24. | :22:27.
shopping precincts, but they are nesting in the chalk cliffs above | :22:27. | :22:31.
the site and our reporter Richard Taylor Jones has had his camera on | :22:31. | :22:34.
them as part of our new BBC series looking at wildlife in surprising | :22:34. | :22:41.
places. Peregrine falcons are not what you | :22:41. | :22:49.
would expect in a out-of-town retail Park. But Bluewater was built in an | :22:49. | :22:52.
old quarry which means it is surrounded by chalk cliffs which are | :22:52. | :22:56.
ideal for Peregrine Falcons. Why have you brought me to this | :22:56. | :23:03.
spot? This is their home range, where this particular Falcon is | :23:03. | :23:08.
sheltered and so sheltered that the male and female can rear their young | :23:08. | :23:14.
in relative safety and security. What sort of behaviour are we seeing | :23:14. | :23:22.
going on in this particular part of the cliff face? Wilsey flight | :23:22. | :23:29.
school, training the young bird all the skills... I can hear one. There | :23:30. | :23:39.
:23:40. | :23:40. | ||
we go, lovely. That was so quick. My goodness me, see the speed of that. | :23:40. | :23:46.
Peregrines are the fastest creatures on earth. A hunting swoop can reach | :23:46. | :23:54.
200 mph. What we are seeing is what Phil calls flight school. I have | :23:54. | :24:03.
filmed these all over the UK but I And you can see much more about that | :24:03. | :24:06.
in Urban Jungle, presented by Richard Taylor Jones, in ten minutes | :24:06. | :24:16.
:24:16. | :24:17. | ||
here on BBC One. Now, for some people who spend a day | :24:17. | :24:21.
out near the seaside, there's nothing better than a fish and chip | :24:21. | :24:24.
supper. But how far would you travel to search for the best chippy? Well, | :24:24. | :24:27.
an upmarket sort of chippy in Brighton. It's a seafood restaurant | :24:27. | :24:31.
really, but we couldn't resist the story!-- has seen a steady increase | :24:31. | :24:34.
in tourists from China, all thanks to a review by a celebrity chef. | :24:34. | :24:37.
Adina Campbell was the lucky reporter we sent to find out more. | :24:37. | :24:45.
It is described as perfectly cooked fish on the website and even goes | :24:45. | :24:49.
far as to say one visit and you are hooked. It has been open for nearly | :24:49. | :24:53.
15 years but it has seen a rise in the number of tourists from one | :24:54. | :25:00.
country more than 5000 miles away. couple of years now, we have seen a | :25:00. | :25:03.
steady stream of Chinese visitors coming into the restaurant and we | :25:03. | :25:08.
could not work out why we are getting so many Chinese. It is due | :25:08. | :25:13.
to one of the most famous chefs in China, who ate a meal and was so | :25:13. | :25:17.
impressed he wrote a review online. That has been getting lots of hits, | :25:17. | :25:23.
delighting the owner and tourists. It is likely travel diary -- like a | :25:23. | :25:33.
:25:33. | :25:35. | ||
travel diary and a blog about his seafood. We researched on Google and | :25:35. | :25:42.
this always absurd as -- always showed as the top one. It has become | :25:42. | :25:48.
a destination for Chinese visitors. It is not just the reviews, the food | :25:48. | :25:51.
is pretty good as well and it looks like this business will continue to | :25:51. | :26:01.
stay busy as the word spreads from chips, let's see if it will stay | :26:01. | :26:11.
:26:11. | :26:17. | ||
like that. Rachel joins us from the And we saw 31.9 degrees in other | :26:17. | :26:22.
places. Sunshine from the word go. We have had gentle, southerly breeze | :26:22. | :26:26.
is and always a bit cooler along the coast, highs of around 29 Celsius. | :26:26. | :26:33.
Further west, that is where we saw temperatures dipping over into 32 | :26:33. | :26:36.
Celsius. Lots of late evening sunshine around, we will see more | :26:36. | :26:40.
cloud cover building and with that, perhaps some showery rain out | :26:40. | :26:48.
bursts. And then an uncomfortable night with low temperatures of 18 or | :26:48. | :26:52.
19 Celsius if you can call it low. Muddy and close and tomorrow will | :26:52. | :27:02.
:27:02. | :27:06. | ||
start overcast with outbreaks of rain -- muggy. Into Saturday, it | :27:06. | :27:10.
will become a mixture of clear skies, some outbreaks of rain, | :27:10. | :27:17.
temperatures a bit fresher. Lows of 14 Celsius and then for the weekend, | :27:17. | :27:21.
lots of sunshine around with the outside chance that you might see | :27:21. | :27:23. |
