arrested on suspicion of murdering a 17`year`old in Surrey has bden

sectioned under the Mental Health Act. The girl's body was fotnd in a

flat in Amy Road in Oxted on Friday, as Rebecca Williams reports.

Floral tributes have been ldft today for the young girl whose body was

found in this sorry flat on Friday night. Forensics are continting

their investigations as thex wait to hear the cause of death. As you can

see, there is still a big police presence in Oxted. We understand the

boy he was arrested, 16, has been sectioned under the Mental Health

Act. He will remain in a secure hospital whilst on bail. During the

church service today residents prayed for the younger of you died.

This is grievous and shocking news, first of all for those whosd lives

have been shattered by it. Neighbours are friends in this town

and we should be praying for all of those at the heart of this tragedy.

We prayed for the poor girl who died the night before last. It is a

tragedy and I'm sure it will shake everybody very deeply because this

Engineers have been working to restore power to hundreds of homes

across the South East that were cut off in yesterday afternoon's storm.

Trees were brought down, blocking roads and damaging property, as Jon
