Good evening. There's more disappointment for rail comluters

this evening with the news that the Hastings to London line now won t

reopen fully tomorrow after all Several landslips along the route

have seen train services disrupted since December. Charlie Rosd

reports. Engineers have been working to

repair the embankments and the track Which in some cases simply

collapsed. It was all due to reopen for tomorrow morning's commtte. But

there's been a delay. And it's not the first time. How can passengers

land for their journeys? Yot can plan your own work. We had to

landslips. Then we had eight heard landslip which added a week on top.

We're still on target. We got a bit ahead of ourselves and not really

get everything ready I Mond`y but unfortunately the one landslip that

we need to be dealt with st`rted moving again. They will fix it when

they fix it. It has taken so long and it is bad. I think they are

doing their best. They need to come forward. They need to say, here and

now, that they will compens`te season`ticket holders for the

disruption they have faced since Christmas. Since December there had

been at least 40 landslips `cross East Sussex Network Rail saxs it

wants to apologise to custolers for the disruption and delays.

Detectives investigating a robbery at a Chatham shop where a mdmber of

staff was threatened with what's described as a meat cleaver have

just released CCTV images of a man they'd like to speak to. It happened

at the Co`Op on Kestrel road at about 9pm on Saturday Febru`ry 2nd.

Police say the man produced a large knife from the waistband of his

trousers before ordering st`ff to fill a bag with cash. A neglected

horse rescued from a field hn East Sussex has died. The animal was

discovered near Hailsham on Tuesday. The RSPCA is trying to track down

the owners of around a dozen animals.

A Conservative MP and a prospective Labour MP, both from the Sotth East,

have agreed that more needs to be done to give people time off work if

they've just suffered a stillbirth. A campaign's already underw`y for

births to be formally registered as stillbirths rather than miscarriages

if they happen less than 24 weeks into a pregnancy. Two local

politicians told the Sunday Politics South East it's an important issue.

I would like employment education `` legislation to be looked at. And it

is not just the women that the men as well. To the weekend's football

Things didn't go so well for our Kent teams but there was better news
