Police start searching the river Medway in Tonbridge, looking for a | :00:18. | :00:25.

searching the river Ed Drakd searching for a man who has been | :00:36. | :00:37.
missing for almost a week. His family fear the worst. H think | :00:38. | :00:42.
we will fight and dead, thing that is the outcome, the more thd days go | :00:43. | :00:44.

A Sussex Conservative MP has revealed that he will vote to leave | :01:07. | :01:11.
the European Union if his p`rty win the next General Election and hold a | :01:12. | :01:16.
subsequent referendum. Henrx Smith who represents Crawley has said that | :01:17. | :01:20.
if people voted UKIP at the next election it would split the vote | :01:21. | :01:23.
leading to a Labour Governmdnt. It comes just days after Rochester MP | :01:24. | :01:26.
Mark Reckless launched his own referendum in his constituency on | :01:27. | :01:32.
membership of the EU. Our Political Editor Louise Stewart has this | :01:33. | :01:40.
exclusive report. Earlier this week the Liberal Democrat leader, Nick | :01:41. | :01:45.
Clegg, agreed to go head to go head`to`head with Nigel Far`ge in a | :01:46. | :01:51.
TV debate on the UK in Europe ahead of the European elections. David | :01:52. | :01:54.
Cameron declined to take part in the debate but has pledged a referendum | :01:55. | :01:59.
in 2017 if the Tories win the next election. That is not enough to | :02:00. | :02:04.
satisfy even some loosely loyal MPs within his own party. Even hf there | :02:05. | :02:13.
is a Conservative win in thd next election in 2017 then there will be | :02:14. | :02:17.
a referendum and I would vote to leave. I think we should be an | :02:18. | :02:21.
independent country. His fellow MP Mark reckless would also like to | :02:22. | :02:26.
launch the EE. He has launched `` leave the EU. He has launchdd his | :02:27. | :02:33.
own referendum. Critics are worried about the UKIP ability to attract | :02:34. | :02:37.
votes, particularly in the south`east. National polling has | :02:38. | :02:41.
showed that we are number two with Labour in Folkestone and hide in | :02:42. | :02:48.
South Thanet and we say votd Tory, gets Labour. David Cameron hopes | :02:49. | :02:51.
that by negotiating a new ddal with the EU he will be able to whn a new | :02:52. | :02:55.
deal with the EU he will be able to win around your wrist kept ht MPs | :02:56. | :02:58.
and voters but his plans were dealt a blow when Angela Merkel s`id that | :02:59. | :03:07.
those who want fundamental reform... I am afraid they `re in | :03:08. | :03:12.
for a disappointment. Henry Crawley's constituency has been a | :03:13. | :03:16.
prime target for UKIP and is likely to be again. He hopes that by | :03:17. | :03:20.
speaking out on your pecan dissipate their threat. `` by speaking out on | :03:21. | :03:28.
Europe, he can dissipate th`t threat. | :03:29. | :03:30.
And Louise is with us now. Louise, is today's news from Henry Smith an | :03:31. | :03:34.
attempt to take on UKIP dirdctly on Europe? He is taking the fight | :03:35. | :03:37.
directly to them. He wants their tanks of his lawn. He is aw`re that | :03:38. | :03:42.
they targeted Crawley in thd local elections and fielded candidates in | :03:43. | :03:47.
all awards. He is also facing a squeeze from Labour because it is a | :03:48. | :03:51.
key Labour target and Ed Miliband has been to Crawley to visit. He | :03:52. | :03:55.
only has a 6000 majority and he has to step up and take the fight to | :03:56. | :03:57.
them. And you can see a longer debate on | :03:58. | :04:01.
how political parties in thd South East view Europe on Sunday Politics, | :04:02. | :04:05.
this Sunday at 11.00am on BBC One. Some specialist cancer oper`tions | :04:06. | :04:07.
have been suspended at Maidstone Hospital following the death of five | :04:08. | :04:11.
patients. All five died frol potentially avoidable complhcations | :04:12. | :04:14.
within a year of having stolach or throat surgery. | :04:15. | :04:19.
Patients now needing upper gastro intestinal surgery are being sent to | :04:20. | :04:23.
St Thomas's Hospital in London. One family has already launched a | :04:24. | :04:27.
criminal negligence claim. Our News Correspondent Mark Norman rdports. | :04:28. | :04:36.
The facts are pretty blunt. Five people died from complications | :04:37. | :04:39.
following cancer surgery at Maidstone Hospital. We know that | :04:40. | :04:45.
those deaths were avoidable. As a result specialist keyhole strgery | :04:46. | :04:48.
for our pie gastrointestinal cancer has been suspended and the hospital | :04:49. | :04:55.
is apologising. `` upper gastrointestinal. It appears there | :04:56. | :05:00.
have been complications to the keyhole surgery. Some patients have | :05:01. | :05:04.
died, five, and we believe complications could have contributed | :05:05. | :05:08.
to their deaths. Is it the fault the staff, the procedure or the | :05:09. | :05:12.
hospital? We believe it is due to the keyhole approach to the surgery, | :05:13. | :05:17.
it is the surgery itself th`t has led to the complication. Thhs | :05:18. | :05:24.
surgery can include procedures on anything including the stom`ch up to | :05:25. | :05:28.
the oesophagus. It was carrhed out as keyhole surgery which involves | :05:29. | :05:31.
making a number of small incisions on the right`hand side of the body | :05:32. | :05:36.
before tubes are inserted into the patient so that surgeons can cut | :05:37. | :05:41.
away any cancerous growths. Despite the complications of that operation | :05:42. | :05:45.
we know that five people didd from the surgery from what are ddscribed | :05:46. | :05:50.
as avoidable complications. Now the family one of those patients is | :05:51. | :05:53.
pursuing the trust for a crhminal negligence case. Our role is to help | :05:54. | :05:59.
our clients get to the bottom of this story. What exactly happened? | :06:00. | :06:04.
What surgical procedures were carried out on that day? Whx weren't | :06:05. | :06:13.
they given the choice of different or more conventional and safer | :06:14. | :06:17.
procedures? For the next 12 months patients will still be treated at | :06:18. | :06:22.
Maidstone but their surgery will happen in London. The hospital here | :06:23. | :06:25.
are making what they describe as necessary improvements. | :06:26. | :06:27.
Mark joins us from Maidstond Hospital now. Mark, how big a | :06:28. | :06:35.
problem is this for the hospital? It is clearly a serious issue. First | :06:36. | :06:40.
and foremost it is a tragedx for the families who would want the best | :06:41. | :06:44.
outcome for their loved ones. The hospital told us today that the | :06:45. | :06:47.
mortality rate for patients with this kind of cancer falls whthin | :06:48. | :06:52.
national levels. They told le that the surgery is well established and | :06:53. | :06:55.
the general outcomes for patients are falling within national levels. | :06:56. | :06:59.
It is a big issue and they have tried to act quickly and give | :07:00. | :07:02.
themselves 12 months to sort out the problem. Thank you. | :07:03. | :07:05.
In a moment: It's a burning issue in Redhill. | :07:06. | :07:07.
Desperate attempts are made to stop the stench from a landfill site | :07:08. | :07:17.
The family of a Kent man who's been missing for almost a week s`y they | :07:18. | :07:23.
fear he will be found dead. Keiron Knowlden was last seen in the early | :07:24. | :07:26.
hours of Saturday morning in Tonbridge. Today specialist police | :07:27. | :07:29.
began a search of the River Medway. The 25`year`old father of one hasn't | :07:30. | :07:33.
been seen since he left a b`r after a night out with friends and family. | :07:34. | :07:39.
Charlie Rose reports. As the search for Kieren | :07:40. | :07:45.
intensifies, his family say that they fear the worst. He would not | :07:46. | :07:50.
stay away this long with no contact. He would not be sitting herd and | :07:51. | :07:54.
letting my mum hurt as much as what she is not tell us where he is. What | :07:55. | :08:02.
do you think has happened to him? Personally, I think we are going to | :08:03. | :08:07.
find him dead, I do think that is the outcome, the more the d`ys go on | :08:08. | :08:11.
and the longer it goes, I do think he is dead and it is awful for me to | :08:12. | :08:17.
say. Kiran Nolton was reported missing last Saturday evening. He | :08:18. | :08:22.
was last seen leaving this bar. Other members of his family believe | :08:23. | :08:27.
he could still be alive and may even have been taken. What is yotr gut | :08:28. | :08:34.
feeling? Yes, if you had asked me that question yesterday I would have | :08:35. | :08:37.
said he was in the river. If you asked me this morning then H think | :08:38. | :08:40.
he is alive and they know where he is and they still have got him. I | :08:41. | :08:44.
cannot even sleep in my bed any more. Just stupid things like that, | :08:45. | :08:54.
like my kids have started to notice. His disappearance is completely out | :08:55. | :08:58.
of character and the police are extremely concerned for his | :08:59. | :09:02.
well`being as are his familx. The river search will continue over the | :09:03. | :09:07.
weekend. He is a son and a brother and a dad and an uncle, we `ll need | :09:08. | :09:13.
him. We need him home and wd need him home safe. I really can't do | :09:14. | :09:23.
this any more! I just need him home. Somebody out there must know. They | :09:24. | :09:30.
need to tell us, they need to tell us what they have done with him We | :09:31. | :09:37.
just need him home. Very emotional scenes there. Charlie has bden | :09:38. | :09:41.
following the search in Tonbridge all day and he joins us now. | :09:42. | :09:45.
Charlie, where do the policd plan to do now? | :09:46. | :09:49.
Charlie, where do the policd plan Police have been searching this | :09:50. | :09:53.
stretch of river all afternoon. They are trying to continue to sdarch | :09:54. | :09:59.
tomorrow and they are using a form of water radar to find out what is | :10:00. | :10:03.
at the bottom of the river. When they find something the polhce | :10:04. | :10:07.
divers then dive in but thex cannot see anything, that is the problem, | :10:08. | :10:13.
it is cloudy and murky survdy to touch and feel what is at the bottom | :10:14. | :10:18.
of the river. The investigation is intensifying and CCTV is behng | :10:19. | :10:21.
reviewed and enquiries are being carried out. The family are doing | :10:22. | :10:25.
their own work, putting up these posters as they desperately try to | :10:26. | :10:29.
find out what has happened. Following weeks of terrible smells | :10:30. | :10:32.
coming from a landfill site near Redhill, the company running it | :10:33. | :10:36.
Biffa, have been forced to hnstall a gas burning chimney on the site | :10:37. | :10:39.
today. The flare stack will burn off excess methane and hydrogen sulphide | :10:40. | :10:42.
gas. Biffa say the smell, while | :10:43. | :10:45.
unpleasant, is harmless, and that they're is spending almost half a | :10:46. | :10:48.
million pounds on measures to get rid of it. The smell's appe`rance | :10:49. | :10:51.
coincided with the winter's heavy rainfall. Our Environment | :10:52. | :10:57.
Correspondent Yvette Austin reports. Rubbish from across the south`east, | :10:58. | :11:02.
one of the last remaining l`ndfill sites in the region. A lot of the | :11:03. | :11:07.
time it is unnoticed, like we like our rubbish to be. In the rdcent | :11:08. | :11:10.
months the smell has been coming back to want the people of Redhill. | :11:11. | :11:15.
The place is trying to attr`ct tourists and people coming to wheat | :11:16. | :11:19.
in restaurants and it is not very nice. My friend came through on the | :11:20. | :11:22.
train and said she could smdll it as she came through from Brighton so it | :11:23. | :11:28.
is having an impact! It is bad that 500 people have complex. Whdn the | :11:29. | :11:32.
smell hits you and it is at its worst you can taste it at the back | :11:33. | :11:36.
of your throat. It really m`kes you want to shut all the windows and | :11:37. | :11:41.
pick the phone up very quickly. The problem the operators say is the | :11:42. | :11:46.
weather. The rain has rotted their waste quicker than predicted causing | :11:47. | :11:50.
hydrogen sulphide to begin `n off before the systems were in place to | :11:51. | :11:54.
deal with it. Now the company is playing catch up. Among the | :11:55. | :11:59.
emergency works, a temporarx gas flare has been installed. It is | :12:00. | :12:03.
burning 300 cubic metres of gas and hour. All around me there is another | :12:04. | :12:08.
deodorising system. You can see it here. It is effectively grabbing the | :12:09. | :12:13.
odour molecules and grounding them. There is a distinct smell of | :12:14. | :12:26.
lavender in the air which is being pumped out. This is normal but there | :12:27. | :12:28.
was also a temporary deodorhsing system there and it is all to try | :12:29. | :12:31.
and stop the smell reaching the homes. The Environment Agency has | :12:32. | :12:33.
launched an investigation. Hf if they do not keep the gas within the | :12:34. | :12:36.
site and they are breaching their environmental permit then wd will | :12:37. | :12:38.
consider formal action against them for breaching the permit. The MP | :12:39. | :12:45.
says the residents should bd compensated. I think they h`ve a | :12:46. | :12:48.
reasonable case about what they are doing but they are explaining things | :12:49. | :12:52.
that are unacceptable in terms of the lack of infrastructure so they | :12:53. | :12:55.
were not ready for the rain. The company is apologising to the | :12:56. | :13:01.
residents and say there is no risk to their health. | :13:02. | :13:09.
Police investigating the murder of 20`year`old man in Folkestone want | :13:10. | :13:11.
to speak to 22`year`old Timothy Keith Avril to help them with their | :13:12. | :13:15.
inquiries. He is five feet nine slim build and speaks with ` London | :13:16. | :13:18.
accent. A 38`year`old man and a 37`year old woman have been arrested | :13:19. | :13:21.
and bailed pending further enquiries. | :13:22. | :13:23.
Two 53`year`old Italian men have been jailed for a total of 24 years | :13:24. | :13:26.
for attempting to smuggle cocaine with a street value of ?13 lillion | :13:27. | :13:30.
through the port of Dover. 63 kilos of the drug were discovered in | :13:31. | :13:34.
carrier bags in the cab of ` Swiss registered lorry. The men wdre each | :13:35. | :13:43.
sentenced to 12 years. A woman from Ken said she considered | :13:44. | :13:47.
taking her own life after a holiday on a cruise ship better with a | :13:48. | :13:52.
debilitating condition. She says she now has a permanent feeling of sea | :13:53. | :13:56.
sickness since the trip in 2012 She has been diagnosed with a | :13:57. | :14:01.
neurological syndrome that causes a constant feeling of swaying. | :14:02. | :14:08.
It was meant to be the trip of a lifetime, a luxury cruise to Norway. | :14:09. | :14:15.
18 months after arriving back on dry land, Diane Morley feels as if she | :14:16. | :14:21.
is still at sea. Inside I al swaying, I bob, sometimes mx head | :14:22. | :14:29.
gets heavy. When I walk it hs like walking on a trampoline. Should he | :14:30. | :14:35.
was eventually diagnosed with a balanced disorder which is brought | :14:36. | :14:40.
on by exposure to motion, most commonly by journeys by sea or air. | :14:41. | :14:44.
It can go on for weeks or months or even years but the cause is unclear. | :14:45. | :14:49.
Recent research into brain `ctivity has shed some light. What is | :14:50. | :14:55.
happening is that there is `bnormal high activity or high metabolism in | :14:56. | :14:59.
specific parts of the brain and these parts deal with speci`l memory | :15:00. | :15:06.
`` spatial memory and also interpretation of movement. When she | :15:07. | :15:09.
fell down a couple of stairs a guy picked up and asked if she was all | :15:10. | :15:13.
right. She said she was and he thought she had been drinking. Diane | :15:14. | :15:17.
is undergoing physiotherapy to retrain the brain to balancd again. | :15:18. | :15:22.
Feeling all at sea is something she accepts she may have to learn to | :15:23. | :15:25.
live with. It opened with an investment of ?120 | :15:26. | :15:28.
million but in its first ye`r things couldn't have gone much worse at | :15:29. | :15:32.
Sussex Coast College in Hastings. A damning Ofsted report branddd it | :15:33. | :15:35.
inadequate and the principal left within months. But under a new | :15:36. | :15:40.
management team, the situathon has dramatically improved. The latest | :15:41. | :15:43.
inspection found the Collegd is now good overall and even outst`nding in | :15:44. | :15:54.
some areas. Piers Hopkirk rdports. With its ?120 million price tag | :15:55. | :15:57.
Sussex Coast College was once in danger of being dismissed as a | :15:58. | :16:03.
expensive failure. For the 7400 pupils and staff today marks the | :16:04. | :16:08.
resignation `` recognition of a transformation. What goes on in the | :16:09. | :16:11.
classroom makes a real diffdrence to the success of a student and by | :16:12. | :16:16.
focusing on learning, assessment and teaching, every student is working | :16:17. | :16:19.
to their maximum and feeling inspired in the classroom to learn. | :16:20. | :16:23.
Ofsted inspectors described the changes here as a dramatic | :16:24. | :16:28.
improvement. Three years ago they painted a rather different picture. | :16:29. | :16:34.
In November 2011 the collegd was rated as inadequate and the | :16:35. | :16:37.
principal stepped down a short time later. In March 2012 Clive Cook took | :16:38. | :16:44.
over and today the college was ranked as good, with outstanding | :16:45. | :16:48.
leadership. The teaching has really improved and you can really feel the | :16:49. | :16:51.
difference. I had friends who were here before and they are je`lous of | :16:52. | :16:54.
me that I have come here and it is better than our was for thel. There | :16:55. | :17:00.
is a lot of emphasis on better teaching and subsequently bdtter | :17:01. | :17:03.
exam results as well. You would not want to say you went to Hastings | :17:04. | :17:07.
College because people look down at you. How do you feel today to be a | :17:08. | :17:14.
student here? I am proud! This girl left school with no GCSEs btt the | :17:15. | :17:18.
college gave her a place and now she is taking three A`levels. I have | :17:19. | :17:22.
gone from nothing to the best I can possibly be and I think this college | :17:23. | :17:29.
delivers `` deserves a lot of recognition. The pressure now for | :17:30. | :17:34.
the college is to stay on the up. And Piers joins us from Hastings | :17:35. | :17:38.
now, so how confident are they that they can not only maintain the | :17:39. | :17:42.
standards but improve even further? They are really bullish. Thdre is a | :17:43. | :17:46.
real sense of optimism and confidence at the college. Having | :17:47. | :17:50.
been there today, the one thing you really notice emanating frol the | :17:51. | :17:54.
staff and pupils is a sense of pride. They talk about being proud | :17:55. | :17:58.
to study there and proud to work there and I suspect that fedling has | :17:59. | :18:02.
been missing for a little while now. When I spoke to the principle he | :18:03. | :18:05.
said that the journey does not finish here. We want to be | :18:06. | :18:09.
outstanding in everything wd do and we are still on target. Thank you | :18:10. | :18:12.
very much. This is our top story tonight: | :18:13. | :18:19.
Sussex Conservative MP Henrx Smith has announced he will vote to leave | :18:20. | :18:24.
the European Union if his p`rty leads `` winds the next election and | :18:25. | :18:28.
hold a referendum. He is sahd he is concerned that voting for UKIP could | :18:29. | :18:32.
split the vote and lead to ` Labour government. | :18:33. | :18:36.
Also in tonight's programme: join me to find out what is going on at | :18:37. | :18:41.
Gatwick on Southeast today. After a dry and sunny week we have a | :18:42. | :18:46.
dry and warm weekend. Join le later for the details. | :18:47. | :18:51.
Emily Parker had just finished her second year at university when she | :18:52. | :19:02.
was diagnosed with leukaemi`. She had to endure five months of | :19:03. | :19:05.
chemotherapy to tackle the disease, leading to her losing her h`ir and | :19:06. | :19:09.
dealing with a host of other unpleasant side`effects. But the | :19:10. | :19:11.
21`year old from Uckfield ddcided to keep a fog of her experiencds, | :19:12. | :19:15.
sharing beauty tips and hints as well as detailing her personal | :19:16. | :19:18.
experiences. And she struck a chord, her last entry has been seen by | :19:19. | :19:21.
thousands of people. Sara Slith has been to meet her for tonight's | :19:22. | :19:23.
Special Report. When I was having treatment one | :19:24. | :19:26.
thing that happened to my skin was it became very dry. I have patches | :19:27. | :19:29.
of dry skin... It might seel that hair and make`up tips would be the | :19:30. | :19:32.
last thing on your mind when you have had treatment for cancdr but | :19:33. | :19:36.
for Emily Parker writing her fog helped her to deal with | :19:37. | :19:38.
chemotherapy. It helps a lot for me because when | :19:39. | :19:45.
you are typing you can typing and if I was talking to my parents they | :19:46. | :19:49.
would stop me or change the subject and it would still all be bottling | :19:50. | :19:55.
up. When you are typing you can just keep typing and cry a bit and then | :19:56. | :19:58.
go back to it and carry on going. The fog `` the fog talks about | :19:59. | :20:04.
coping with losing hair and the best products for dry skin and the | :20:05. | :20:10.
essentials for hospital vishts. Emily is taking a make up course | :20:11. | :20:14.
while she waits to return to university in September so there are | :20:15. | :20:18.
general make up tips which `re striking a chord. Her latest post | :20:19. | :20:25.
has had over 7000 visits. When you are diagnosed with something like | :20:26. | :20:28.
cancer that is life or death you want to try and retain as mtch of | :20:29. | :20:32.
yourself as possible becausd it changes you, you lose weight and put | :20:33. | :20:36.
on weight and mentally it is hard to deal with. If you keep as mtch of | :20:37. | :20:43.
your local routine `` normal routine going as possible it helps xou to | :20:44. | :20:47.
get through. Those who professionally look after pdople's | :20:48. | :20:50.
performance are not surprisdd at all that during such difficult times it | :20:51. | :20:56.
still matters. By doing this fog I think she is getting in touch with | :20:57. | :21:02.
her identity again because cancer is not everything about her, she is | :21:03. | :21:06.
very gorgeous, young and lively 21 your old girl who is very p`ssionate | :21:07. | :21:11.
about make up. I think that is a way of her expression. Emily is now in | :21:12. | :21:18.
remission but she will keep going with the blog as long as shd thinks | :21:19. | :21:19.
it will help her and others. She was runner`up in the X Factor, | :21:20. | :21:32.
losing out to Matt Cardle, but it's fair to say that Rebecca Ferguson's | :21:33. | :21:35.
career has gone from strength to strength since then. She's now | :21:36. | :21:38.
embarking on a UK tour, takhng in Margate and Brighton later on this | :21:39. | :21:41.
month. Jane Witherspoon has been to meet her and to find out wh`t really | :21:42. | :21:45.
happened when she passed out last week on live televison. | :21:46. | :22:02.
Those X Factor nerves are a thing of the past for Rebecca Ferguson. She | :22:03. | :22:10.
is about to hit the road on a new tool which starts in Margatd before | :22:11. | :22:14.
heading on to Brighton. She is expecting big things from the | :22:15. | :22:18.
south`east crowd. You can gdt a bit rowdy, actually. It gets rowdy and | :22:19. | :22:22.
everyone has a good time and everyone has a dance. It is funny, | :22:23. | :22:27.
different areas, some peopld will be more subdued and some cities people | :22:28. | :22:28.
will be full on ravers. It is all systems go. She is busy | :22:29. | :22:43.
plugging her new single, not always easy when you feel poorly. She | :22:44. | :22:48.
collapsed on live television last week. It was so dramatic, w`sn't it? | :22:49. | :22:54.
You know what, I needed to collapse mid song but I fought through it. | :22:55. | :22:58.
And then I got to the end and I thought the camera had gone because | :22:59. | :23:01.
I had finished the song so H could go now. So I slowly went to the | :23:02. | :23:07.
floor and the next thing yot knew it was everywhere but I was lahd up in | :23:08. | :23:13.
bed for two days. As a workhng mother of two it is on with the show | :23:14. | :23:17.
although it is not always glamorous. It is hard. I thhnk other | :23:18. | :23:22.
mums make it look more glowdred `` glamour, people like beyond say and | :23:23. | :23:28.
Alicia Keys. They have trainers and dieticians and I am just as scruffy | :23:29. | :23:32.
mother. I am keeping it real in my onesie! Let us hope she has packed | :23:33. | :23:39.
it along with the bucket and spade as she embarks on a tour of the | :23:40. | :23:46.
seaside resorts in the south`east. She is hardly scruffy, is she? | :23:47. | :23:50.
The opening ceremony of the Winter Paralympics has taken place in Sochi | :23:51. | :23:53.
this afternoon. And the British team was led out by teenage flag bearer | :23:54. | :23:56.
Millie Knight from Canterbury. The 15`year`old visually impairdd skier | :23:57. | :23:59.
is the youngest member of Paralympics GB. She was joined by | :24:00. | :24:02.
team mates including skier James Whitley, seen here on the ldft, from | :24:03. | :24:09.
Wilmington in East Sussex. Charlton boss Chris Powell says he'd | :24:10. | :24:13.
like his side to make headlhnes this weekend by securing a place in the | :24:14. | :24:16.
FA Cup semi`finals. The famous trophy has been at the Addicks | :24:17. | :24:19.
training ground ahead of Sunday s sixth round tie at Sheffield United. | :24:20. | :24:22.
Despite their lowly league position, Powell says his side are focused on | :24:23. | :24:25.
getting through to a cup selifinal at Wembley. I went on a spyhng | :24:26. | :24:33.
mission to Sheffield United with the assistant manager. It was good to | :24:34. | :24:38.
get a feeling of the place. We have come back and trained reallx well | :24:39. | :24:41.
and obviously it is all gearing up to Sunday. | :24:42. | :24:43.
In the football league games tomorrow Brighton take on Rdading at | :24:44. | :24:47.
the Amex. And there's a south east derby in League One as Gillhngham | :24:48. | :24:50.
welcome Crawley Town to the Priestfield. | :24:51. | :24:58.
Gary Lineker was at Gatwick Airport today to help teams of compdtitors | :24:59. | :25:02.
raise money for sport relief. It was a 50 metre event that made | :25:03. | :25:07.
particular use of the locathon. The teams were racing to pull a huge | :25:08. | :25:13.
passenger jet across the finish line. Ian Palmer went to watch. | :25:14. | :25:18.
This is your British Airways captain not speaking, but pulling an | :25:19. | :25:24.
aircraft. Come on! Come on! Supporting the teams was thd former | :25:25. | :25:27.
England captain Gary Lineker. Terry Hollands is Britain's strongest man | :25:28. | :25:30.
aiming to be the world's strongest in two weeks time. He's 28 stone of | :25:31. | :25:39.
prime English beef. I have pulled numerous vehicles and planes over | :25:40. | :25:44.
the years. The biggest key to it is keeping your centre of Gravhty low. | :25:45. | :25:50.
Especially as a team they nded to work as a team. Even my own I felt | :25:51. | :25:54.
like I was starting to get ht moving. That is a lie! When you said | :25:55. | :26:01.
you would be on the poll today I bet you didn't... Get into it! | :26:02. | :26:06.
The rugby team crossed the line in 47 seconds. Have you practised or | :26:07. | :26:19.
just turned up? Earlier there was a warm up. | :26:20. | :26:22.
The aim of Sport Relief is to get the nation active and raise money to | :26:23. | :26:26.
improve the lives of people both here and abroad. 150 tonnes of steel | :26:27. | :26:32.
being pulled by man and wom`n power alone, all in aid of charitx. Does | :26:33. | :26:39.
it get any wackier than this? The Force is strong in this teal. It is | :26:40. | :26:47.
great to be a of. My first time I would it again. | :26:48. | :26:51.
The plane can carry 280 people and their luggage at 35,000 feet. It's a | :26:52. | :26:55.
wonder it can off the ground, let alone be pulled by human hands. | :26:56. | :27:09.
If you want to get involved in Sport Relief all the information xou need | :27:10. | :27:13.
to join in or donate is on the website. | :27:14. | :27:19.
Shall we keep going with thd good news? Now we have the weathdr and it | :27:20. | :27:24.
is going to be lovely! It will be a bit of a misty start on | :27:25. | :27:28.
Saturday but it brightens up nicely and stays sunny as we go into | :27:29. | :27:32.
Sunday. If anything it will be warmer than Saturday on Sunday. | :27:33. | :27:37.
Ex`week we have high pressure which means it will be staying drx with a | :27:38. | :27:42.
lot of warm sunshine around. Quite frosty at night and chilly starts to | :27:43. | :27:47.
the day. More cloud cover in the morning today but it brightdned up | :27:48. | :27:50.
this afternoon. The temperatures have been mild for the time of year. | :27:51. | :27:59.
Initially the skies were cldarer tonight but then we had lowdr cloud | :28:00. | :28:03.
around with mist and fog and it was a mild night. Temperatures dropped | :28:04. | :28:08.
to five or six degrees. Low cloud to start the weekend then the southerly | :28:09. | :28:13.
breeze is get to work and it will brighten up nicely. By the `fternoon | :28:14. | :28:17.
we could see temperatures of 14 or 15 so it will be real pleas`nt for a | :28:18. | :28:22.
Saturday afternoon. On Saturday and into Sunday it will stay drx and be | :28:23. | :28:27.
quite mild. Temperatures will only drop to five or six degrees. With | :28:28. | :28:31.
clearer skies you might see some list and fog as we start thd day on | :28:32. | :28:35.
Sunday. A lot of sunshine from the word go. At the weekend there is | :28:36. | :28:40.

Tell them what is on the show. OK, musical legend Jeff Lynne is here | :29:45. | :29:48.
and we will be finding out where the food tastes better hot or cold. And | :29:49. | :29:55.
the funny accent thing. I was just getting to that. Alistair McGowan | :29:56. | :29:57.
