Good evening. Tourist attractions and traders across the South East

have recorded a dramatic rise in visitors this weekend as

temperatures topped a whopphng 7 centigrade. At Chartwell visitor

numbers were up by a third `nd business has been booming in

Brighton as well, as Mark S`nders reports.

Wish you were here? Brighton has been savouring the sunshine and the

city has been buzzing, more people out of this weekend has been great

for business. It is a welcole boost for early season, we don't normally

get this kind of boost this early. The good weather has been vdry good

for us, we are doing a lot lore than usual, it has been an awful winter

and we heart `` we hope things will pick up. The South East has been

sparkling in the sunshine. Ht is not just the coast but has had the good

weather, inland people have been enjoying be out doors as well after

It is nice to get out, have the sun on your face and sit on the beach.

A Chatham father who went mhssing with his young son yesterdax evening

is still missing, even though the 14`month`old has since been found

Police are hunting two men following an early morning robbery at a

newsagent's in Chatham. Says it supports the propos`ls for

Sevenoaks, as they were single`sex and the proposed annexe was mixed.

One of the stumbling blocks was that you had a single sex school putting

forward a proposal for a coeducational annex. Clearlx this

would deal with that. There is a great need for more selective school

provision in West and and it is a huge anomaly that Sevenoaks does not

lots of sunshine around and some very high temperatures, just shy of

clear skies and temperatures between five and seven. As we start the

working week it is dry, right, some spells of sunshine through the

morning but clouding over. Southern coastal areas will see the same sort

of temperatures as today but on the eastern coast you might start to
