Is welcome to South Today. In the programme. The murder plot to kill | :00:06. | :00:09.
a grandfather for money. How a family used the internet to find | :00:10. | :00:14.
out how to do it. It is shocking that children so young should be | :00:14. | :00:18.
involved in a crime like this. Seafront history burned to the | :00:18. | :00:23.
ground, as hundreds of people nearby are moved to safety. | :00:23. | :00:27.
Climbing the stairway to heaven. The topping out ceremony for | :00:27. | :00:31.
Arundel Cathedral's spire. And Hollywood royalty and the real | :00:31. | :00:36.
thing go head-to-head at Cowes. have never done anything like this, | :00:36. | :00:46.
:00:46. | :00:51. | ||
it is superamazing. I have never They tried to kill their | :00:51. | :00:55.
grandfather for 400,000. Tonight, three members of his family from | :00:55. | :01:00.
Hampshire have been found guilty of conspiracy to murder. His youngest | :01:00. | :01:04.
grand daughter who was 13 at the time of the attack was found not | :01:04. | :01:07.
guilty of conspiracy to murder but guilty of malicious wounding. It | :01:07. | :01:13.
was a bid to get their inheritance early. Legal restrictions mean we | :01:13. | :01:20.
can't identify any of the individuals. Yes, well, this | :01:20. | :01:24.
conspiracy plot has been sitting for six weeks at Winchester Crown | :01:24. | :01:29.
Court and this afternoon we saw the conclusion of an often complicated | :01:29. | :01:32.
case. Dates back to the 15th November last year, when five | :01:33. | :01:37.
people travelled together, to a village near Winchester where they | :01:37. | :01:41.
attacked the elderly man this his front garden of his hope. Let me | :01:41. | :01:45.
show you how they were corrected. Victim was an 89-year-old | :01:45. | :01:49.
grandfather and Tay tempt to kill him involved his 48-year-old | :01:50. | :01:53.
adopted daughter. Her 19-year-old son along with his girlfriend who | :01:53. | :01:58.
was 16. The court heard the woman's two daughter, now aged 15 and 14 | :01:58. | :02:04.
played a significant part in the attack. It is shocking family | :02:04. | :02:08.
should do this to someone who is related to them. It appears to be a | :02:08. | :02:12.
crime that is motivated by greed and nothing else. But children were | :02:12. | :02:17.
involved? Yes. I think the families need to have a look at how they | :02:17. | :02:20.
influence the children and what they did. Gu again it is shocking | :02:20. | :02:24.
children so young should be involved in a crime like this. | :02:24. | :02:30.
grandfather survived but was left with serious injury, unsurprising | :02:30. | :02:35.
as he has been beaten round the head with bricks. He is in a care | :02:35. | :02:40.
home now. The police found the mother had been searching the web | :02:40. | :02:46.
using phrases like "Where can you hurt someone by hitting them". The | :02:46. | :02:50.
prosecution say the family tried to kill the grandfather on other | :02:50. | :02:54.
occasions, including trying to scare him to death and trying to | :02:54. | :02:58.
blow up his car by tampering with the battery. This afternoon the | :02:58. | :03:02.
four eldest defendants were found guilty of conspiracy to murder, a | :03:02. | :03:06.
charge which could carry a life sentence. The man's youngest | :03:06. | :03:09.
granddaughter, 13 at the time, was found guilty of malicious wounding. | :03:10. | :03:17.
They will all be sentenced later in the year. As more strike action is | :03:17. | :03:22.
planned for Southampton, the City Council says it won't rule out | :03:22. | :03:28.
sacking Taff who take part. Unions rejected an offer to end the | :03:28. | :03:32.
ongoing dispute. The council says its proposal would have seen an | :03:32. | :03:42.
improved deal for more than half of the workers. It was thought this | :03:42. | :03:46.
could all be over. This week, the council put forward an offer to | :03:46. | :03:52.
reduce the pay cut. The unions considered suspending strikes but | :03:52. | :03:55.
this afternoon their members rejected the deal, voting four to | :03:55. | :04:00.
one against it. They have had 8 million taken out of their wages by | :04:00. | :04:04.
this administration, they don't accept that. They have voted to | :04:04. | :04:08.
continue taking strike action, until they pay is restored. | :04:08. | :04:13.
from the end of this week, anyone still on strike could lose their | :04:13. | :04:19.
job. Why? Because there is already been 12 weeks of action. After that | :04:19. | :04:24.
employment law says there needs to be a new ballot. Without that, | :04:24. | :04:28.
employers can legally sack staff who remain on strike. Today's vote | :04:29. | :04:33.
wasn't an official strike ballot. To say now we will sack people that | :04:33. | :04:36.
are on strike is something I don't want to consider, if I can possibly | :04:36. | :04:42.
help it. We will not allow people to continue to be disrupted by this | :04:42. | :04:46.
strike action. Whatever we need do we will do that ensure residents | :04:46. | :04:49.
are protected. Council says the deal was the best they can afford. | :04:49. | :04:53.
But unions say they will still fight on. So for now the pickets | :04:53. | :04:58.
and the -- pickets and the placards will stay. Alex is here with me in | :04:58. | :05:02.
the studio. So what is likely to happen now? That is what even wants | :05:02. | :05:06.
to know? Tfrpblgts unions say it is unlikely the council will go ahead | :05:06. | :05:10.
and sack everybody, and clearly the council doesn't want do that either. | :05:10. | :05:14.
So I think it is almost certain now, that we are going to have some more | :05:14. | :05:17.
strikes. The current round will end on Sunday, the unions are going to | :05:17. | :05:21.
meet up tomorrow to discuss who is going to go out next. They are not | :05:21. | :05:25.
ruling out anyone so we could see more bin strike, Liberian, social | :05:25. | :05:30.
worker, I am told it will start again at the beginning of September. | :05:30. | :05:35.
What we don't know is when it will end. The council thought it made | :05:35. | :05:38.
serious concessions with this offer taking half the people out of the | :05:38. | :05:42.
pay cut and reducing it for everybody else, but the unions say | :05:42. | :05:45.
they don't think there should be any sort of pay cut, so we are back | :05:45. | :05:49.
to having two sides at loggerheads. What has been interesting about | :05:49. | :05:52.
this is other councils have been watching carefully to see what the | :05:52. | :05:56.
outcome is. They have. Southampton has been the first to introduce | :05:56. | :06:00.
these pay cut, in the south so far we haven't heard of others but in | :06:00. | :06:03.
Shropshire the unions have balloting for action because the | :06:03. | :06:08.
council is doing the same thing. Thank you. Thames Valley Police | :06:08. | :06:12.
have reduced the number of officers sent to London to help deal with | :06:12. | :06:16.
riots. The other five forces retaining the same amount of ate in | :06:16. | :06:22.
-- aid in the capital. A man from Dorset has been released on bail | :06:22. | :06:28.
after being charged with inciting a riot. 15 people were arrested over | :06:28. | :06:32.
isolated incidents. The elections watchdog has confirmed it has | :06:32. | :06:36.
received a fresh complaint made about Eastleigh MP Chris Huhne's | :06:36. | :06:40.
election spending. The town's former Liberal Democrat mayor Glynn | :06:40. | :06:43.
Davies-Dear says Mr Huhne failed to properly declare his spending. The | :06:44. | :06:47.
MP has previously denied similar allegations. The Electoral | :06:47. | :06:51.
Commission will decide whether to carry out a case review or formal | :06:51. | :06:56.
investigation. A massive fire in Southsea that has destroyed a | :06:56. | :07:00.
landmark building is causing disruption for the second night | :07:00. | :07:03.
running. Alternative accommodation has had to be found for round 200 | :07:03. | :07:09.
hotel guest and loebg residents. The building is part owned by the | :07:09. | :07:12.
former Portsmouth football manager Harry Redknapp. We are live in | :07:12. | :07:20.
Southsea now. Yes, the Savoy court building on South Parade was | :07:20. | :07:24.
ungulfed in what can only be described as a spectacular fire | :07:24. | :07:28.
yesterday afternoon. It was empty at the time, and no-one was hurt. | :07:28. | :07:32.
Now, many residents and hotel guests were moved from nearby | :07:32. | :07:35.
buildings, it had been hoped they would be able to return this | :07:35. | :07:38.
afternoon but that hasn't been possible because parts of the | :07:39. | :07:42.
building are structurally unsound. Another big problem is that there | :07:42. | :07:46.
is an electricity sub-station in the basement and at the moment no | :07:46. | :07:53.
power is getting to Southsea pier. Smoke was still rising today from | :07:53. | :07:58.
hotspot, deep in the basement of the Savoy court building on the | :07:58. | :08:02.
seafront. It used to house several nightclubs, it has been empty for | :08:02. | :08:07.
some time. The fire started yesterday afternoon, sending smoke | :08:07. | :08:11.
billowing into the sky. Several South Today viewers took photos. | :08:11. | :08:14.
The smoke was visible for miles round. I only walked past it a | :08:14. | :08:18.
couple of hours before it happened with my nephew and happened to say | :08:18. | :08:23.
your mummy and I used to go dancing in there, and it is weird, a couple | :08:23. | :08:28.
of hours later and this is what has happened. I think there was a | :08:28. | :08:31.
general fear, but people weren't panicking, we were talking to one | :08:31. | :08:35.
another, making sure we were all right. That was all really. | :08:35. | :08:38.
Yesterday, the next door royal beach hotel was evacuated and it | :08:38. | :08:41.
was forced to shut again this afternoon because of concerns about | :08:41. | :08:47.
the safety of the fire damaged building. Leaving staff to find | :08:47. | :08:51.
alternative accommodation for round 170 guests. From now on until the | :08:51. | :08:54.
end of the weekend I have five wedding reception, Friday, Saturday | :08:54. | :08:58.
and Sunday, so I am keeping my fingers crossed it all gets taken | :08:58. | :09:04.
care of tomorrow. The owners of the building include the Tottenham | :09:04. | :09:07.
manager Harry Redknapp. Permission had been granted to turn it into | :09:07. | :09:10.
flats. Investigators are trying to pinpoint the cause of the fire. | :09:10. | :09:14.
the moment there is no evidence whatsoever that this is linked in | :09:14. | :09:19.
any way to any civil disturbances that have happened round the | :09:19. | :09:23.
country. Until the fire damaged building is made safe, the main | :09:23. | :09:29.
seafront road, and a number of side roads will remain shut. Demolition | :09:29. | :09:33.
experts will move in tomorrow morning, to start making the | :09:33. | :09:42.
building safe, that work will start at 6.00 tomorrow morning. Thank you. | :09:42. | :09:46.

Cowes. The fifth day of the world's biggest sailing regatta and you are | :10:11. | :10:15.
right. Plenty of breeze out for the sailor, among them on the water a | :10:15. | :10:20.
couple of royals who have been in the news recently and some famous | :10:20. | :10:28.
faces. Find out who later on. An air force family from Hampshire has | :10:28. | :10:33.
been at kous with a vital mission. Trying to recruit bone Marlow | :10:33. | :10:37.
donors. David and Lou Hannard's son Alex has a rare condition that can | :10:37. | :10:41.
only be cured by a bone marrow transplant. But finding a match is | :10:41. | :10:49.
not easy. In among the crowds at Cowes today, a family looking for a | :10:49. | :10:56.
life saver. Nine-year-old Alex has CGD. A rare immune deficiency which | :10:56. | :11:01.
makes infection potentially lethal. His body has no defence against | :11:01. | :11:05.
bacteria and it is everywhere. Bacteria and fungus is everywhere, | :11:05. | :11:10.
so play grounds with bark chip, grass cuttings, leave, lake, river, | :11:10. | :11:16.
ponds, lots of things at school that he can't take part in, no | :11:16. | :11:20.
school trip, so very restrictive. The family's linked forces with the | :11:20. | :11:26.
Anthony Nolan Trust. Recruiting potential bone marrow donors during | :11:26. | :11:31.
Cowes week. Saliva is analysed and details are record on a UK data | :11:31. | :11:36.
base which has 400,000 potential donors. If a match is found, donors | :11:36. | :11:40.
give blood in a similar patrol seedure. We have had a great | :11:40. | :11:45.
response, particularly among the sailors. The Anthony Nolan are | :11:45. | :11:49.
aiming for young men at the moment, between 18 and 30. We have a great | :11:49. | :11:53.
captive audience here. If ots of finding a match for Alex are small. | :11:54. | :12:00.
But they increase with each new recruit. -- odds. If you think you | :12:00. | :12:05.
would like to help, and try to help Alex in particular, you can find | :12:05. | :12:09.
more information about registering as a potential donor on the Anthony | :12:09. | :12:15.
Nolan website. That helps anybody looking for a donor. The skyline of | :12:15. | :12:19.
one of the south's most beautiful towns has been restored. Today | :12:19. | :12:24.
marked the completion of a project to build a new flesh or spire for | :12:24. | :12:28.
Arundel Cathedral. Conducting the topping out ceremony today required | :12:28. | :12:36.
just a bit of effort. As bishops go, the Right Rev rand Connery is | :12:36. | :12:40.
particularly nimble. He climbed ladder after ladder to conduct a | :12:40. | :12:46.
short service in a very high place. It's a rare, rare treat. You would | :12:46. | :12:51.
never get the chance to do it again, so I am thrilled. It was all to | :12:51. | :12:55.
mark Arundel Cathedral's new flesh, a slender spire rising from the | :12:55. | :13:04.
roof. We ask the Lord to bless this flesh. Make it holy. A new flesh | :13:04. | :13:07.
had to be built and installed after it was discovered the original one | :13:07. | :13:12.
was in a bad way. The existing steel structure was rusted out. | :13:12. | :13:18.
There was eight legs coming down, and five or six of those legs were | :13:18. | :13:24.
corroded to the extent of 95%. is not good It is not good. It was | :13:24. | :13:28.
precarious up there. The flesh was blessed with holy water and coins | :13:28. | :13:32.
from this year were placed on top of it to mark its completion. It | :13:32. | :13:36.
has taken a few pennys to get to this point, renewing the flesh has | :13:36. | :13:41.
cost more than a quarter of a million pounds but it means this | :13:41. | :13:44.
landmark is preserved. Whenever r Erne will lock across and see | :13:44. | :13:48.
Arundel and look at the Cathedral and the castle and think it's a | :13:48. | :13:51.
fairytale town really. So again we need to care for it and presifrt | :13:51. | :13:57.
and do our best to keep it. today's service was a once in a | :13:57. | :14:02.
lifetime event. The new flesh will last more than 100 year, helping | :14:02. | :14:10.
keep the skyline timeless. Unusual topping out ceremony. He needed a | :14:10. | :14:16.
head for heights. There was a royal visit on the Isle of Wight to name | :14:16. | :14:21.
a new lifeboat. The Princess Royal was the guest of hon Knorr nor. It | :14:21. | :14:27.
marked the opening of the lifeboat station which replaced a previous | :14:27. | :14:32.
Victorian building. It the boat is named Alfred Williams in memory of | :14:32. | :14:36.
a skip refer Gosport. It was funded after a donation of 1.8 million | :14:36. | :14:41.
from a couple who were friends with Mr Williams. Our changing | :14:41. | :14:45.
facilities is much better. The boat's bigger and better. And | :14:45. | :14:50.
faster so it gives us the ability to get on the scene quicker so it | :14:50. | :14:55.
makes rescuing people's lives easier for us. Now a bit of a royal | :14:55. | :14:59.
affair with the Princess Royal there and also her daughter was | :14:59. | :15:03.
there. As indeed is the lovely Roger Johnson there, not of course | :15:03. | :15:09.
you fit into that royal affair bit but good to see you. I have got | :15:09. | :15:15.
blue blood... I wish. A great day's sailing as you quite rightly said, | :15:15. | :15:22.
and as you can see by the boats back here in the yacht haven the | :15:22. | :15:26.
fifth day of Cowes week has been a blowy one, lots of stuff drying out | :15:26. | :15:32.
on the deck. Lots of things broken for many boats. Some stiff breezes. | :15:32. | :15:37.
You mention the Royal, she is indeed here in Cowes. She was | :15:37. | :15:41.
involved with that lifeboat, tomorrow, she will be on the | :15:41. | :15:45.
starting platform at the royal yacht squadron starting the D class, | :15:45. | :15:49.
the largest class here at Cowes week and she will be firing the gun | :15:49. | :15:53.
to get them under way in their centenary race. Her daughter is | :15:53. | :15:57.
here too. She was one of a number of celebrities taking part in the | :15:57. | :16:01.
headline eevent of the day. The Artemis challenge for the open 60 | :16:01. | :16:05.
yachts and they needed somebody to help them with a good eye for the | :16:05. | :16:11.
weather. Who could they get, none other than Alexis. Ewan McGregor | :16:11. | :16:17.
known for his starring roles in Trainspotting and Star Wars swapped | :16:17. | :16:21.
Tinseltown to race round the Isle of Wight We are trying to win the | :16:21. | :16:26.
prize money, to give to my charity UNICEF because they need a lot of | :16:26. | :16:31.
help with the east African appeal. I have never done anything like | :16:31. | :16:36.
this, raising -- racing yachts. I have never been on anything like | :16:36. | :16:43.
this. He joined the British round the world skipper Alex Thompson on | :16:43. | :16:48.
his boat hue Hugo boss He will get a bit of a shock. It is going to be | :16:48. | :16:54.
exciting. He wasn't the only well- known face in the race. Zara | :16:54. | :16:59.
Phillips was with Dee Caffari onboard Artemis. Dee is competitive. | :16:59. | :17:06.
It will be good to get out there, and go and beat the other guys. | :17:06. | :17:12.
was a battle between knight and royalty. Or just simply boys versus | :17:12. | :17:17.
girls. The girls are going to show the boys how it is done. Are you | :17:17. | :17:20.
excited? Yes Artemis challenge is the high light so we will see how | :17:20. | :17:26.
we get on. In a with less than a minute half to go they are getting | :17:27. | :17:32.
the boat ready. It will be a gruelling 50 miles round the island. | :17:33. | :17:37.
So if you are not one for sailing to put this into perspective these | :17:37. | :17:45.
are like the Formula One of the sea. The fastest boats on the planet. | :17:45. | :17:50.
Hugo boss recorded a top seed speed of 25 knots after coming round the | :17:50. | :17:55.
neetles. It was a fast and furious day but knight over the two boats | :17:55. | :17:59.
won the race. First and second place went to two French boats. | :17:59. | :18:07.
Hugo boss came in third and Artemis fourth. I think she enjoyed herself. | :18:07. | :18:11.
She will be back with the let -- weather later. Summer sport | :18:11. | :18:15.
continuing as Cowes week is on, big day in cricket. We will have some | :18:15. | :18:20.
scores for you but news that the Hampshire batsman Michael Lumb has | :18:20. | :18:23.
decided to leave the county. He will go at the end of the season. | :18:23. | :18:28.
He won't play for Hampshire because he has has a long-term ankle injury. | :18:28. | :18:35.
So to the scores. First day Hampshire playing for pride now, | :18:35. | :18:45.

day interrupted by the weather at Football. Big night in the Carling | :19:02. | :19:06.
Cup last night. Shane Long has completed hi move as you know from | :19:06. | :19:10.
Reading to West Bromwich. He could make his debut against Manchester | :19:10. | :19:14.
United at the weekend, if those games go ahead, because you will | :19:14. | :19:24.
:19:24. | :19:29. | ||
know that the civil diso beans -- Of the games that did take place, | :19:29. | :19:38.
we had a couple of big winners. Bourm dispelled the disappointment | :19:38. | :19:44.
of opening day defeat at Charlton. Mark Pugh's le reflected free-kick | :19:44. | :19:50.
put on their their way. Another set piece, doubled the Cherry's lead. | :19:50. | :19:54.
Shaun Cooper finishing from a corner as Lee Bradbury's training | :19:54. | :20:01.
ground orchestration paid off T third goal came from a defence pass | :20:01. | :20:07.
from Mark Pugh. The final two goals came late in the game. This one | :20:07. | :20:11.
from Taylor was memorable for the fact it was his first for the club. | :20:11. | :20:15.
His second came just two minutes later. A composed finish to round | :20:15. | :20:25.
off a thumping 5-0 win. Southampton sold Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for | :20:25. | :20:30.
14 million. The man many thing has been signed to replace him scored | :20:30. | :20:37.
his first goal since a summer move from Holland. Torquay equalised but | :20:37. | :20:42.
Saints went back in front. Ricky Lambert with a free-kick. The | :20:42. | :20:48.
victory was confirmed with two late goals. Chaplow squeezing in the | :20:48. | :20:58.
third before helping set up the next for Fort. Brighton welcomed | :20:58. | :21:02.
former landlords Gillingham to their new home. After Buckley had | :21:02. | :21:08.
been fouled in the area, Albion saw them off, thanks to an Ashley | :21:08. | :21:14.
Baaned penalty. No such good fortune for Portsmouth, one of six | :21:14. | :21:17.
Championship sides to scudge to lower league opposition. Mark | :21:17. | :21:27.

Hughes got the only goal as Barr net one 1-0. -- Barnet. Shame about | :21:28. | :21:33.
form last night. Real breeze as I was saying do you earlier. Look at | :21:33. | :21:38.
the flags and banners on the rigging here. There are really big | :21:38. | :21:42.
boats here this year, the Olympians are not here because they are down | :21:42. | :21:48.
in Weymouth, going through the Olympic test event, but this one is | :21:48. | :21:55.
the real beast of the regatta. And the team origin, because the | :21:55. | :21:58.
British America's Cup challenge is no more, their boat is here, so | :21:58. | :22:02.
they are out on the water. Tomorrow we won't be seeing anything as big | :22:02. | :22:09.
as this. We will be with the X1 designs who are celebrating their | :22:09. | :22:14.
seen reen -- centenary. There is a 90-year-old sailing in that class. | :22:14. | :22:17.
More tomorrow night. I look for Bard to that. That is the wonderful | :22:17. | :22:19.
thing, that everybody has the opportunity to race, whether you | :22:19. | :22:25.
have a small boat or a monster. Thank you so much for that. Now, | :22:25. | :22:28.
does your village need money? Listen up, because villagers across | :22:28. | :22:32.
the south have being given the chance to bid for a share of | :22:32. | :22:36.
Lottery funding. 5 million is to be used to help transform rural | :22:36. | :22:41.
areas. The project called Village SOS is run in conswrung shunning | :22:41. | :22:51.
with a TV series that starts tonight on BBC One. -- conjunction. | :22:51. | :22:55.
Tonight's programme high lighting how someone's business idea could | :22:55. | :23:00.
help rebuild their communities. Village life can seem idyllic but | :23:00. | :23:04.
the economic life can be less than perfect. Problems with housing, | :23:04. | :23:09.
access to public transport and shops and pubs closing down. | :23:09. | :23:13.
loss of local amenities can rip the heart out of village life, yet we | :23:13. | :23:18.
know there are people living there who have brilliant ideas that could | :23:18. | :23:21.
make a difference to regenerate the communities. One of the ideas to | :23:22. | :23:26.
take advantage of Lottery Funding in the past was this cycle hire | :23:26. | :23:31.
business, started and run by local volunteers. We have purchased | :23:31. | :23:37.
cycles so that is our asset now, and the hut, and through volunteers | :23:37. | :23:43.
we are able to sustain that and provide a service to the community | :23:43. | :23:47.
and tourists. Why does the pub matter So our villages with a | :23:47. | :23:52.
population of less than 3,000 can apply for a share and get some free | :23:52. | :23:57.
face to faced a vice. Through the campaign, we want, with a bit of | :23:57. | :24:04.
help, advice, support, and some cash, to equip them to turn those | :24:04. | :24:08.
villages round, and really generate communitys for the better. Which | :24:08. | :24:11.
could include anything, from re- opening the pub to a bike hire | :24:11. | :24:17.
business for tourists. I am sure you must be interested in that. If | :24:17. | :24:21.
you want to get involved in your community, and want to get your | :24:21. | :24:29.
hands on some money, so to speak, go to the BBC website to find out | :24:29. | :24:33.
how to tap into that fund. Don't forget that television series | :24:33. | :24:37.
starting tonight. She has rushed back from the island to be with us. | :24:37. | :24:41.
You have left the stars behind. have. I thought I would keep you | :24:41. | :24:45.
company tonight. That is sweet of you. Look. Ewan McGregor. I know. | :24:45. | :24:50.
Big name. Zara Phillips, royalty. Did you like the whizzing about on | :24:50. | :24:55.
the boat. I did. It was choppy. The mean wind speeds got up to 25mph, | :24:55. | :25:00.
up to 30 knots at some point. it has been a fabulous week so far | :25:00. | :25:05.
for sailing. It has. But it is all for sailing. It has. But it is all | :25:05. | :25:10.
change. Here are some weather pictures. Shirley took this photo. | :25:10. | :25:16.
What a great view to wake up to. A beautiful scene of a summer's day. | :25:16. | :25:21.
Paul took this photo, while on a tandem ride this morning. I assume | :25:21. | :25:26.
he stopped otherwise there would have been an accident. Yes, lovely | :25:26. | :25:30.
sunny conditions. Breezy but we will see increasing cloud cover | :25:30. | :25:34.
overnight tonight. And that could give the possibility of some | :25:34. | :25:38.
outbreaks of rain. It is from this massive cloud moving in, it is a | :25:38. | :25:42.
weather front, it will produce outbreaks of rain. Not even will | :25:42. | :25:47.
see the wet conditions, some places could stay dry. One or two clear | :25:47. | :25:50.
spells, but with that cloud cover overhead it will be a mild night. A | :25:51. | :25:56.
lot milder than last night with lows of 14, 15. Cooler in the | :25:56. | :26:01.
countryside. These are values in towns and cities. So to start the | :26:01. | :26:06.
day tomorrow a dry note for some, but rain will spread in. Some | :26:06. | :26:09.
heavier bursts were for most we will see light showers and | :26:09. | :26:15.
temperatures up to 21C. Perhaps some late evening sunshine. So a | :26:15. | :26:20.
dry end to tomorrow night, cloud will increase, mist and murg is | :26:20. | :26:25.
possible, the winds will be a lot lighter than today. Temperatures | :26:25. | :26:31.
will stay mild. So an uncomfortable night for sleeping. Low pressure is | :26:31. | :26:36.
not far away. It stays with us, a squeeze on the isobars so the winds | :26:36. | :26:42.
will be brisk. Yet, another weather front pushes eastwards through the | :26:42. | :26:46.
day on Friday, Saturday night will be a damp one as well. Saturday | :26:46. | :26:50.
daytime a damp start but improving picture. As we head into Sunday, | :26:50. | :26:53.
probably the best day of the weekend to enjoy the dry conditions. | :26:53. | :26:58.
Sunny spells and feeling fresher so a decent day all in all. Here is | :26:58. | :27:02.
your summary, a damp start. Brighter later on and a for the | :27:02. | :27:07.
rest of the week. Rain about tomorrow. Maybe the odd rumble of | :27:07. | :27:11.
thunder. We could have heavy shower, on Friday the chance of a few | :27:11. | :27:15.
showers and that is the case on Saturday. The winds, gradually die | :27:15. | :27:19.
down towards Sunday and the sunshine makes a return. The long | :27:19. | :27:24.
range forecast suggests it will be dry and bright for next week. Thank | :27:24. | :27:29. |
