Hello, I'm Sally Taylor. Welcome to South Today. In tonight's

:00:01.:00:04.

programme: Medical misadventure - a coroner's

:00:04.:00:14.

verdict after a Brighton woman died in a dentist's chair. Sacha's

:00:14.:00:17.

family hopes that the recommendations the coroner makes

:00:17.:00:19.

today will lead to better understanding and management of

:00:19.:00:22.

allergies. Warn others of the danger - a

:00:22.:00:24.

father's plea after a cliff climb went horribly wrong.

:00:24.:00:27.

Working their way through choppy financial times - the boating

:00:27.:00:30.

industry shows off its wares in the south.

:00:30.:00:38.

And trying to preserve the history of a colony of artists. Craftsmen

:00:38.:00:43.

that were around the 20th century, they had a huge influence

:00:43.:00:53.
:00:53.:00:55.

throughout 20th century and even She was described as a big-hearted

:00:55.:00:58.

woman who had everything to live for. Today the family of Sacha

:00:59.:01:01.

Rumaner heard a coroner give a verdict of medical misadventure,

:01:01.:01:06.

after Sacha died after using mouthwash at the dentists. The 30-

:01:06.:01:09.

year-old Brighton woman suffered a rare but severe reaction whilst

:01:09.:01:14.

having an extraction examined. The corner said dental staff at the

:01:14.:01:16.

Morley Street dental clinic should have recognised that she'd gone

:01:16.:01:25.

into anaphylactic shock sooner. Ben Moore reports.

:01:25.:01:29.

A rare reaction to the simplest of treatment has left a family without

:01:29.:01:34.

a beloved daughter. Shortly before her death, sachet had found

:01:34.:01:39.

happiness. Living independently in a nice flat, she was coping with

:01:39.:01:44.

her mild learning difficulties. February this year, Sacha Rumaner

:01:44.:01:49.

was given mouthwash by a dentist to rinse a cavity. Seconds later, she

:01:49.:01:55.

collapsed, frothing at the mouth. She had had eight severe reaction

:01:55.:02:01.

to a common antiseptic. -- a severe reaction. Nothing can heal the loss

:02:01.:02:04.

of this treasured daughter and sister and yet have family have the

:02:04.:02:08.

recommendations that the coroner made today will lead to a better

:02:08.:02:12.

understanding and management of allergies. The response of staff

:02:12.:02:18.

treating SAD share at the Morley Street practice was criticised --

:02:18.:02:21.

Sacha Rumaner. They said the dentist did not recognise that she

:02:21.:02:25.

was suffering from an allergic reaction. It was not, she said, at

:02:25.:02:30.

any time entertained as a possibility. This meant the small

:02:30.:02:35.

chance to give a shot of adrenalin, the only drug that could have saved

:02:35.:02:40.

her, was lost. The coroner said her collapse was so catastrophically

:02:40.:02:43.

fast that the chances of her surviving were slim. The coroner

:02:44.:02:49.

says she will they make reports to try and ensure that a tragedy like

:02:49.:02:53.

this will not happen again. She will be writing to the NHS Trust,

:02:53.:02:56.

asking them to review what equipment and what drugs are

:02:56.:03:00.

available in dental surgeries. She will also make a report to the

:03:00.:03:06.

Department of Health asking them to make sure the allergy to the

:03:06.:03:09.

antiseptic is recognised more often. There have been a couple of

:03:09.:03:13.

cannabis seizures in Hampshire in the last two days. On the

:03:13.:03:15.

Millstream industrial estate in Ringwood, police discovered a

:03:15.:03:18.

cannabis factory after reports of suspicious activity. 1,000 cannabis

:03:18.:03:22.

plants were seized and six men were arrested. Meanwhile 500,000 worth

:03:22.:03:25.

of drugs thought to be cannabis were found at Portsmouth Ferry Port

:03:25.:03:35.
:03:35.:03:38.

in a lorry from France. A man from Yorkshire has been arrested.

:03:38.:03:42.

The father of a Hampshire girl who died after falling 15 feet into a

:03:42.:03:44.

mine shaft at Perranporth in Cornwall has told an inquest he

:03:44.:03:47.

thinks tourists should have been warned about the hidden dangers.

:03:47.:03:50.

Harry Clark told the hearing his family had no idea the cave they

:03:50.:03:55.

were exploring contained a hidden shaft entrance.

:03:55.:03:59.

11-year-old Eleanor Clarke was on holiday and was exploring a

:03:59.:04:03.

Perranporth Beach in north Cornwall with her family when she climbed in

:04:03.:04:08.

to what she thought was a cave, 20 feet up Baycliff. It was, in fact,

:04:08.:04:13.

an old mine. Giving evidence today, have father said that within

:04:13.:04:16.

seconds he had his daughter cried out and he followed her inside. He

:04:16.:04:21.

called for help but there was no reply. He found her at the bottom

:04:21.:04:24.

of a mine shaft that she could not have seen in the dark. She had

:04:24.:04:28.

fallen at least 15 feet onto the rocks below. She was airlifted to

:04:28.:04:33.

hospital but died from head injuries. The inquest heard that

:04:33.:04:36.

how 10 years before the death of Eleanor Clarke, a female body Baker

:04:36.:04:42.

had fallen down the same shaft, and was badly injured but survived --

:04:42.:04:45.

holiday maker. Harry Clark said more should be done to warn

:04:45.:04:49.

holidaymakers who were not familiar with Cornwall's mining past about

:04:49.:04:54.

the hidden dangers, in particular on beaches. The coastline is

:04:54.:04:59.

littered with old mine workings. The RNLI go into schools and talk

:04:59.:05:03.

about beach safety and now have planned to highlight the danger

:05:03.:05:09.

arcades. In around the areas where mining was an issue in parts of

:05:09.:05:14.

Cornwall, we will be adding it to some of the hazards. One of the

:05:14.:05:20.

main messages is keep awake from cliffs, and mine entrances, play it

:05:20.:05:28.

-- caves and so on. The local parish has now have planned to

:05:28.:05:31.

erect warning signs on the beach. The coroner will be writing to

:05:31.:05:34.

landowners in coastal areas warning them of the dangers. The inquest

:05:34.:05:37.

recorded a verdict of accidental death.

:05:37.:05:40.

Southern Railway has launched a competition to build 130 new

:05:40.:05:42.

carriages to ease overcrowding on commuter services from the south

:05:43.:05:47.

coast into London. Bidders will need to have the trains carrying

:05:47.:05:52.

passengers in two years' time. Most of Southern's existing trains were

:05:52.:05:55.

built by Bombardier in Derby, which recently announced 1,500 job losses

:05:55.:05:58.

after losing the competition to build new rolling stock for

:05:58.:06:05.

Thameslink trains from Brighton. The show that's widely regarded as

:06:05.:06:08.

a good barometer of the health of our boating building and maritime

:06:08.:06:12.

industry started today. The Southampton Boat Show is now in its

:06:12.:06:22.
:06:22.:06:23.

43rd year. Reporter Chris Coneybeer is there for us. Press, I

:06:23.:06:30.

understand you wiry man of means. - - Chris.' will you be buying a

:06:30.:06:36.

glitzy mega yacht or a rowing boat? I haven't decided yet. Oh, for the

:06:36.:06:41.

lottery. Looking around, you would be forgiven for thinking the

:06:41.:06:45.

country's economic ills have disappeared. Plenty of lovely boats

:06:45.:06:49.

around and for those who can afford it, plenty of choice as well.

:06:49.:06:55.

You can buy a being D for a few hundred Pounds. A decent yacht for

:06:55.:07:00.

a price of a small house. Or something really special, like this.

:07:00.:07:07.

The prices start at 13.7 million. Times are hard, but not for

:07:07.:07:12.

everyone. Once again, the Boat Show provides an opportunity for the

:07:12.:07:15.

relatively well-off to indulge in some of their pleasures and the not

:07:15.:07:22.

so well-off to indulge in a little daydreaming. We like to do long-

:07:22.:07:26.

distance sailing, so we are looking at maybe up grading from what we

:07:27.:07:32.

have. Always looking to buy a. coming to have a look at the new

:07:33.:07:36.

boats. Just having a look at the new technology. Will you buy

:07:36.:07:46.
:07:46.:07:46.

something? No. There are boats here with all of the essentials. And for

:07:46.:07:52.

some of the craft, you have to be well-heeled. One of the Boat comes

:07:52.:07:55.

In sections. Our biggest problem has been we cannot build them as

:07:55.:08:03.

fast as we sell them. So our limitation is capacity, not sales.

:08:03.:08:07.

The success of the business carried out here over the coming week will

:08:07.:08:12.

really matter to the economy of the south coast. The industry UK-wide

:08:12.:08:17.

has been going through a tough time and our industry is no different,

:08:17.:08:20.

but we are still here. The Southampton Boat Show will look to

:08:20.:08:24.

the future and we are optimistic about what the next 10 days will

:08:24.:08:29.

bring. But with the economy as it is, it is likely some will be

:08:29.:08:35.

keeping their fingers crossed. Fingers crossed, but there is money

:08:35.:08:40.

about. The but sellers are hoping that they are looking through the

:08:40.:08:44.

economic gloom and hoping sales will be buoyant.

:08:44.:08:48.

I will leave you to choose which one you are after.

:08:48.:08:51.

Up to 1,000 new jobs are likely to be created in Reading after a

:08:51.:08:54.

supermarket giant was given the go- ahead to build a large distribution

:08:54.:08:57.

centre close to the M4. Reading Borough Council's planners have

:08:57.:09:00.

said yes to Tesco building on the former Berkshire Brewery site in

:09:00.:09:04.

Imperial Way. But it will also have to be approved by councillors in

:09:04.:09:07.

Wokingham. Local people hope the new distribution centre will help

:09:07.:09:10.

build the town's way out of the downturn.

:09:10.:09:13.

Portsmouth Council says it's managed to hold on to weekly

:09:13.:09:16.

rubbish collections thanks to a new eight-year contract. The new

:09:17.:09:20.

contractors will be the first in the country to operate a fleet of

:09:20.:09:24.

trucks powered by recycled cooking oil. While some councils have moved

:09:24.:09:26.

to fortnightly collections, Portsmouth says a new flexible

:09:26.:09:28.

contract allows weekly collections to continue and also means

:09:28.:09:38.
:09:38.:09:41.

considerable savings. Still to come: out for forecast and

:09:41.:09:44.

the message it, be prepared. -- a fall.

:09:44.:09:48.

If you are out and about, be prepared, because they could be

:09:48.:09:53.

some of this. Join me later to find out the weekend forecast.

:09:53.:09:57.

Good news for the viewers of our Politics Show - the programme is

:09:57.:10:01.

back this week and the team has a lot to talk about. Peter Henley

:10:01.:10:03.

will be live at the Liberal Democrat conference and Danielle

:10:03.:10:09.

Glavin will be in the hot seat in the studio. I spoke to her earlier

:10:09.:10:18.

about what was in the programme. First of all, we are packing Peter

:10:18.:10:20.

Henley after Birmingham to the Liberal Democrat conference. He

:10:20.:10:24.

will be seeing what is going on and getting all the gossip and also

:10:24.:10:27.

taught to the leader of EC Borough Council to find out how optimistic

:10:27.:10:32.

they arc about their future, because they think they are in

:10:32.:10:37.

meltdown. Police cuts another issue? Nobody can forget the scenes

:10:37.:10:41.

we saw in the blundered with the recent riots, well Dorset police

:10:41.:10:46.

have played their part but dark facing big cuts -- but are facing

:10:46.:10:51.

big cuts. They have to save 80 million in four years. The

:10:51.:10:54.

coalition government have been asked to rethink that but are

:10:54.:11:00.

standing firm. We were told police should be protected. These numbers

:11:00.:11:04.

showed in essence remained as they are. Holmes, houses and offices

:11:04.:11:09.

should be reopened. -- homes. What is most important is intelligence,

:11:09.:11:13.

a police officer in every rural village, every town and ensuring

:11:13.:11:19.

the public have access to them 24 hours a day. And finally, the

:11:19.:11:23.

ongoing dispute at Southampton City Council. A number of staff at

:11:23.:11:26.

Southampton City Council was sacked and we hired for less money so that

:11:26.:11:34.

has caused a lot of upset -- were sacked and higher again. There will

:11:34.:11:39.

be ahead to head on the sopor. look forward to that. So Danielle

:11:39.:11:45.

Glavin and Peter Henley will have the Politics Show on Sunday.

:11:45.:11:48.

There's a fundraising event this weekend for a museum in a Sussex

:11:48.:11:51.

village which is world-renowned for its arts and crafts tradition. So

:11:51.:11:54.

far, the Heritage Lottery Fund has committed 1 million to redevelop

:11:54.:12:01.

Ditchling Museum, and the museum has to match that. The aim is to

:12:01.:12:04.

have a new place to celebrate the history of such an important colony

:12:04.:12:14.
:12:14.:12:16.

of artists and crafts people. Mark Sanders has more.

:12:16.:12:19.

Goldsmith Anton Pruden fashions precious metals. It is the same

:12:19.:12:24.

work his grandfather did in exactly the same Sussex village. Dunstan

:12:24.:12:29.

Pruden was part of a community of artists in Ditchling. The Guild of

:12:29.:12:33.

St Joseph and St Dominic was formed in the early 20th century and

:12:33.:12:39.

continued until the late 1980s. has got this fantastic history of

:12:39.:12:43.

some of the best craftsmen that were around at the 20th century.

:12:43.:12:46.

They had a huge influence throughout the 20th century and

:12:46.:12:51.

even now. Eric Gill, the most notable member of the Guild, is

:12:51.:12:56.

famous for his sculpture, but also designed the typeface that we read

:12:56.:12:59.

in books and used on computers today. Ditchling Museum has been

:12:59.:13:05.

home to his work and other artists from the Guild. The plan is to

:13:05.:13:08.

transform the small museum into a modern space to celebrate the

:13:08.:13:12.

creative colony that established itself in the village. The Heritage

:13:12.:13:16.

Lottery Fund has given 1 million to help this happened. The museum

:13:16.:13:21.

itself has raised about 600,000, but still needs to find around

:13:21.:13:26.

half-a-million more in these difficult Financial Times. Now we

:13:26.:13:31.

are on to the next stage of fund- raising through other trusts and

:13:31.:13:35.

foundations and individuals, and as you say, it is not the easiest time

:13:35.:13:38.

to be fund-raising. But we feel passionately about the project and

:13:38.:13:43.

what we hope to do here. There is a fund-raising event this weekend for

:13:43.:13:47.

the museum. The aim is to start redevelopment next year. The hope

:13:47.:13:51.

is that not before too long, this village, snug against the South

:13:51.:13:58.

Downs, will have a new place to remember its past.

:13:58.:14:00.

And good luck with the fund-raising event this weekend.

:14:01.:14:06.

It's back on BBC One, and it's back at the Royal Berkshire County Show.

:14:06.:14:11.

Sarah Farmer, news reporter David Allard and John Cuttell will be

:14:11.:14:15.

Strictly Come Dancing at the Strictly Come Dancing Royal

:14:15.:14:18.

Berkshire show to raise money for Children In Need. If you want to

:14:18.:14:23.

see them, after they had squeezed themselves into a light grey, then

:14:23.:14:31.

tickets are still available on the door. Do go and support them.

:14:31.:14:36.

My goodness. I was just waiting for them to put on the fake tan as well.

:14:36.:14:39.

You have to have that. Good luck to them.

:14:39.:14:45.

Now, for the last time, the very final time on South Today, here is

:14:45.:14:49.

Roger Johnson with the sport. They have asked me to do Strictly

:14:49.:14:51.

Come Dancing on most years and I always managed as worded.

:14:51.:14:56.

It is funny that we have managed to avoid it!

:14:56.:14:59.

Fittingly for my final report before I head off on a new

:14:59.:15:03.

challenge in my career, I have been to meet demand preparing for a new

:15:03.:15:07.

challenge of his own. I have reported Geoff Holt's sailing

:15:07.:15:12.

successes over the years but he has decided that sailing is not enough

:15:12.:15:17.

of a thrill. So he has launched a new boat today so he can provide

:15:17.:15:22.

some very special joy ride. God bless all who sail in have.

:15:22.:15:26.

has had his fair share of champagne moments over the years and now

:15:26.:15:30.

Geoff Holt wants to share his enjoyment of the sea with other

:15:30.:15:34.

disabled people. It is not all about getting wet than putting

:15:34.:15:38.

sales up. Sailing is wonderful, but for some people it is about getting

:15:38.:15:43.

out on the water and experiencing life on the waves. He has always

:15:43.:15:46.

had a love of the sea and I think he just wants other children to

:15:46.:15:50.

experience what he has and work out for themselves what the enjoyment

:15:50.:15:56.

is. Geoff Holt made history when he became the first quadriplegic to

:15:56.:16:00.

sail unassisted around Britain. He achieved the sale Milestone across

:16:00.:16:06.

the Atlantic and is not ruling out further challenges. And there is

:16:06.:16:09.

the round-Britain powerboat challenge next June and it has

:16:09.:16:13.

crossed my mind that no one with a disability has done that.

:16:13.:16:16.

disability means the boat has been specially adapted for him to drive

:16:17.:16:19.

and although he will always have an able-bodied skipper on board, he

:16:20.:16:24.

will always have complete control. That is not something high speed

:16:25.:16:28.

racers can always guarantee, although he will not be going flat

:16:28.:16:33.

out. When you take people out for the first time, the expression on

:16:33.:16:37.

their face, it is just a picture. You can't explain how exciting it

:16:37.:16:42.

is. It is brilliant what he is doing. He has inspired many through

:16:42.:16:46.

his voyages, riding 600 horse power will be a whole new thrill for

:16:46.:16:52.

Geoff Holt to share. And I wish him many enjoyable and

:16:52.:17:00.

incident free trips. Hard on the heels of their

:17:00.:17:02.

relegation from Division One of cricket's County Championship,

:17:02.:17:04.

Hampshire have already started making changes for next season.

:17:04.:17:07.

Winchester-born Jimmy Adams will skipper the side in 2012 after

:17:07.:17:10.

Dominic Cork was released. He impressed while leading the side in

:17:10.:17:12.

the final few matches of the season. Australian opening batsman Simon

:17:12.:17:15.

Katich has signed as Hampshire's overseas player. He represented the

:17:15.:17:18.

county from 2003 to 2005. Championship leaders Brighton will

:17:18.:17:21.

aim to continue what Gus Poyet refers to as a "dream" start to the

:17:22.:17:24.

new season when they play at Sven- Goran Erikkson's Leicester City

:17:24.:17:33.

tomorrow. Peak hours of local radio football coverage on the screen. --

:17:33.:17:36.

details. Albion's win at Bristol City last week means they've taken

:17:37.:17:41.

16 points out of a possible 18 at the start of the campaign - a point

:17:41.:17:43.

ahead of Southampton, who play Birmingham on Sunday. Here's Albion

:17:43.:17:48.

boss Gus Poyet. Every game is important, every three points. We

:17:48.:17:52.

can talk for ages about why it is good or bad, but not for the

:17:52.:17:57.

football players. This season, Leicester away, West Ham away,

:17:57.:18:03.

Birmingham away, Leeds United away, these games are going to be special.

:18:03.:18:07.

Gus Poyet air and Portsmouth fans will want to watch on Monday, a

:18:07.:18:10.

special report on your club from Tony Husband, who will be filling

:18:10.:18:14.

the best part of the so fat from now on.

:18:14.:18:20.

He well. Let's move on to the weather now. -- he will. We had a

:18:20.:18:24.

warning earlier of showers to come. Yes, there will be some sunshine

:18:24.:18:26.

and we have had some lovely photos today.

:18:26.:18:29.

Susie Strand took this photo of Arundel Castle from the river bank.

:18:29.:18:32.

She described it as a beautiful and tranquil place.

:18:32.:18:34.

Anni Stevens captured the scene at Littlehampton in the dry sunny

:18:34.:18:36.

conditions. And Robin Boultwood photographed

:18:36.:18:39.

the many people making the most of the warm sunny September day in

:18:39.:18:44.

Swanage. It certainly was a warm September

:18:44.:18:46.

It certainly was a warm September day, but it turns very unsettled

:18:46.:18:49.

overnight tonight and for the weekend as well, sunshine and

:18:49.:18:54.

blustery showers on the cards. The driest they will probably be Sunday.

:18:54.:19:00.

Tonight, showers are also possible. One or two heavy bursts. Through

:19:00.:19:03.

the early hours of the morning it, temperatures staying in double

:19:03.:19:09.

figures. Those showers will rattle their way through tomorrow and a

:19:09.:19:14.

very brisk westerly breeze, with the odd heavy burst and the odd

:19:14.:19:19.

rumble of thunder with temperatures reaching a high of 19 or 20C. But

suppressed under the cloud and way you have the showers. Brisker winds

:19:24.:19:28.

tomorrow and gale-force gusts in the Channel, and the showers will

:19:28.:19:32.

continue for some through the early hours of Sunday morning. Some

:19:32.:19:36.

respite and temperatures staying in double figures.

:19:36.:19:40.

So cooler conditions tomorrow night and tonight. Sunday daytime, once

:19:40.:19:45.

again, the risk of one or two showers, possibly the driest day of

:19:45.:19:49.

the weekend with some sunshine. If you are heading to the well County

:19:49.:19:55.

of Berkshire Show, go prepared for a shower and there will be a

:19:55.:20:00.

blustery wind. I am apologising for the graphics, they are slightly

:20:00.:20:04.

jumpy this evening. Monday daytime, some rain on offer during the

:20:05.:20:08.

second part but a bright start to the working week and then more rain

:20:08.:20:12.

on the way from this weather front which led southwards, the wind will

:20:13.:20:17.

be brisk. All in all, the weekend is looking pretty unsettled. The

:20:17.:20:20.

driest of they will be Sunday, the wind will be pretty brisk over the

:20:20.:20:26.

weekend with some hefty showers -- of them. A dry start to Monday but

:20:26.:20:30.

rain will arrive later on the day, and that will stay with us on and

:20:30.:20:31.

and that will stay with us on and off on Tuesday.

:20:31.:20:36.

Alexis, thank you very much. So a final day for Roger. If you have

:20:36.:20:42.

just joined us and he went with us last night, Roger is going on to...

:20:42.:20:46.

It is still the BBC, but we should say when it is.

:20:46.:20:50.

Lots of people would know it, I am going to Manchester and I am going

:20:50.:20:56.

to be the main anchor man on north- west tonight, the regional news.

:20:56.:21:01.

Also like here, but up north. Same programme, same time-slot but

:21:01.:21:07.

in the north-west will start you will notice those things on screen.

:21:07.:21:11.

-- you will notice those things on screen. Lots of people have been

:21:11.:21:14.

getting in touch and sending messages. Are you looking forward

:21:14.:21:19.

to going, sad to be leaving? And sad believing, I have had the

:21:19.:21:23.

pleasure to work with people here for years -- I am sad. But I am

:21:23.:21:28.

excited, I will be succeeding Gordon Burns who is a real legend

:21:28.:21:31.

within broadcasting and latterly of regional programming, he has been

:21:31.:21:35.

doing it for 15 years. That is a real honour.

:21:35.:21:40.

Sad, I should think, because 14 years, there have been a number of

:21:40.:21:43.

high moments and we have put a little film together so we could

:21:43.:21:46.

see some of the lovely moments that have involved Roger Johnson over

:21:46.:21:52.

the last 14 years. Hello and welcome to Thursday's

:21:52.:21:56.

edition of South Today. One night only, there is only one

:21:56.:22:01.

show in town. Saints were underdogs in 1976, can

:22:01.:22:06.

they do it again in 2003? The ability of football to unite a

:22:06.:22:13.

community. The City of Portsmouth is providing it this afternoon.

:22:13.:22:17.

Jackson back in business. Ball-tampering is what it is all

:22:17.:22:21.

about. Not allowed in cricket. -- cricket.

:22:22.:22:28.

In the original film of the Great Escape, Steve McQueen is D... It I

:22:28.:22:32.

have done some amazing things in my time but we heart of passing out

:22:32.:22:36.

from a sandbank in the middle of the Solent where we are about to

:22:36.:22:41.

play a game of cricket. Look at the size of the place. It

:22:41.:22:47.

is huge. I am good, aren't I?

:22:47.:22:52.

People are going to blush at the sight of me with my share top.

:22:52.:22:57.

Find all the details... Nothing quite so relaxing as flying

:22:57.:23:03.

a kite. 70,000 people, a cauldron of noise.

:23:04.:23:06.

Pictures of the Pompidou players as they walk out...

:23:06.:23:14.

A fantastic stadium. Wembley will be really rocking.

:23:14.:23:24.
:23:24.:23:26.

Stop cheating. I will let you go. He nutmegged me. And we didn't

:23:26.:23:31.

practise that! Yours truly was sent out for the

:23:31.:23:35.

second half. My lack of talent but did little to help.

:23:35.:23:41.

I bet you would love to get your hands on these, Sally.

:23:41.:23:46.

Nobody knew my name was William. William the Conqueror.

:23:46.:23:52.

We are having a brilliant time. Our very own racing thoroughbred is

:23:52.:23:57.

down in the paddock. Thanks very much indeed, welcome to

:23:57.:24:04.

Goodwood in West Sussex. A few of the region's warm yacht people will

:24:04.:24:09.

be miles away. What was it like out there? There

:24:09.:24:13.

are no words to describe it, the most amazing experience of my life.

:24:13.:24:19.

Britain should believe, we have a genuine, humble, a real superstar.

:24:19.:24:23.

Do you think you should be wearing shorts with those legs? It may be

:24:23.:24:33.
:24:33.:24:40.

I don't believe it. I am so sorry. Are you all right? Excuse me while

:24:40.:24:50.
:24:50.:24:54.

CHEERING. They brought back some memories,

:24:54.:24:58.

didn't they? People have often reminded me of

:24:58.:25:03.

the one in the hat at Goodwood. And that starts this weekend. That was

:25:03.:25:07.

a several years ago. I had no idea how often you took

:25:07.:25:14.

your clothes off. Did you? And your legs. We asked for comments last

:25:14.:25:18.

night and thank you for all of the ones you've sent in. We have them

:25:18.:25:22.

all here. Rather than read them had, we will give them to you that you

:25:22.:25:27.

can read them at your leisure. But I will read one from Rachel, who is

:25:27.:25:32.

11. Don't tell my mum, but I am on Harry male. My mum enjoys watching

:25:32.:25:38.

the present board, she says that football is poisonous but likes it

:25:38.:25:40.

when he presented -- present sport. Could you say hello to Lesley

:25:40.:25:44.

Palmer? Lesley Palmer, thank you very much

:25:45.:25:50.

and everybody who e-mailed. We had so many and it is so lovely.

:25:50.:25:55.

14 years, a lot of sporting heroes you have met. Some of them want to

:25:55.:26:02.

wish you well personally. Hello, Roger. All the very best, it

:26:02.:26:06.

was a pleasure working with you down the years. Hello, Roger, I

:26:06.:26:09.

can't believe you are leading us. Just a quick thank you for all of

:26:09.:26:14.

your help and support over the years, I really appreciated. A best

:26:14.:26:18.

of luck. Roger, I would just like to wish it every happiness and

:26:18.:26:24.

success with your move Ann De Vecchi if you need a body to -- if

:26:24.:26:29.

you ever need somebody to attend a charity events with you again, just

:26:29.:26:34.

give me a call. It is really sad to see you are leaving it, and to go

:26:34.:26:39.

back to that moment at the finish years ago, it was as bigger day for

:26:39.:26:43.

me as it was for a year and it was wonderful to see a friendly face in

:26:43.:26:47.

that huge crowd. So I wish you all the best with your future ventures

:26:47.:26:51.

and will miss you. Indeed we will.

:26:51.:26:56.

That is so kind. I have to say, quite a few people have asked me

:26:56.:27:00.

what my highlight have been. Alan McArthur, she is just as lovely now

:27:00.:27:04.

when no one had heard of that -- Ellen McArthur.

:27:04.:27:09.

The two cup finals that we did special programmes for and Children

:27:09.:27:12.

In Need, which I happen up. We have loved having you here, we

:27:12.:27:16.

will Nishi but we wish you all the best. I will let you say good night.

:27:16.:27:20.

-- we will Misha. Thank you to everybody who has e-

:27:21.:27:23.

mailed, all the lovely people I have met over the years, it has

:27:23.:27:27.

been a privilege to sit next to the consumer professional for so long

:27:27.:27:31.

and to have worked with such a great team but it is the view was

:27:31.:27:33.
