Hello, I'm Sally Taylor. Welcome to South Today. In tonight's | :00:02. | :00:05.
programme: Six-year-old Dumo died at home in a | :00:05. | :00:08.
fire seven years ago. Tonight the man who started it begins a life | :00:08. | :00:13.
sentence. A father tells an inquest how he | :00:13. | :00:16.
pleaded for doctors to keep his daughter in hospital to protect her | :00:16. | :00:24.
from herself. The pride of a city, crowds honour | :00:24. | :00:32.
the soldiers marching through Salisbury. The regiment haven't | :00:32. | :00:37.
been together for nine years, a really great event. | :00:37. | :00:41.
And it's all smiles now but are the fans happy as Pompey take a risk | :00:41. | :00:47.
with a new manager. I will always be a bit of a dark course, not one | :00:47. | :00:51.
of the favourites, but ultimately I must have done enough to be given | :00:51. | :01:01.
:01:01. | :01:05. | ||
For seven years the family waited for justice. And today the man who | :01:05. | :01:08.
murdered their six-year-old girl in a house fire in Crawley begins a | :01:08. | :01:13.
life sentence. The jury took two hours to find George Sithole guilty | :01:13. | :01:17.
of killing Dumo Sibanda in October 2004. After her death he fled to | :01:17. | :01:19.
South Africa and was only extradited earlier this year. | :01:19. | :01:28.
Natalie Graham reports. They have waited seven years for | :01:28. | :01:33.
justice, await a which they say has left their marriage in threads but | :01:33. | :01:37.
they saw the man who killed their only child convicted of her murder. | :01:37. | :01:41.
George Sithole was selfish enough not to do with the consequences of | :01:41. | :01:45.
his actions at the time. He refused to to come forward when he knew he | :01:45. | :01:50.
was sought for questioning. He also refused the extradition process | :01:50. | :01:54.
which led to the extra the clergy in him coming to the UK for the | :01:54. | :02:03.
trial to take place -- the extra delay. Dumo was six his old when | :02:03. | :02:07.
she died in a fire started deliberately, angry that his former | :02:07. | :02:10.
girlfriend he was staying with family had ended their relationship. | :02:10. | :02:15.
He was filmed buying matches and petrol to start the fire, but | :02:15. | :02:21.
afterwards he fled to South Africa and was interested in her last year. | :02:21. | :02:24.
Sentencing George Sithole the judge told him he didn't think he had | :02:24. | :02:28.
ever heard such a pathetic attempt by somebody to light their way out | :02:28. | :02:34.
of responsibility. He told him you are wicked and criminal behaviour | :02:34. | :02:38.
cost little Dumo her life and you have shown no remorse for your | :02:38. | :02:44.
actions. He will spend a minimum of 17 years in prison. The judge | :02:44. | :02:48.
praised the family with a calm and dignified manner they had conducted | :02:49. | :02:58.
themselves during the trial. The father of a young woman who | :02:58. | :03:01.
fell to her death from a block of flats in Southampton has told an | :03:01. | :03:04.
inquest he pleaded with her medical team not to release her for fear | :03:04. | :03:07.
she would kill herself. Victoria Nye had been a voluntary patient in | :03:07. | :03:10.
the psychiatric unit at the Royal South Hampshire hospital. She had a | :03:10. | :03:13.
history of alcohol and substance abuse and self harm. A psychiatrist | :03:13. | :03:21.
said he had no option but to let her go. Chris Coneybeer reports. | :03:21. | :03:26.
Graham said his daughter and needed help. In hospital she was happy, | :03:26. | :03:29.
relaxed and buoyant. She was looking forward to being a buoyant | :03:30. | :03:33.
stock when she believed she was to be discharged she became greatly | :03:33. | :03:40.
upset. He received a phone call saying she had come out of the | :03:40. | :03:43.
meeting with a consultant psychiatrist he said she should be | :03:43. | :03:47.
discharged but in his opinion she was completely normal. Earlier in | :03:47. | :03:52.
the inquest that psychiatrist, Dr Anders Ekelund, gave evidence | :03:52. | :03:55.
saying he hadn't wanted Victoria to leave until a proper care plan was | :03:55. | :03:59.
in place but she had wanted to go and he had no justification to | :03:59. | :04:04.
detain her. He said the date Victoria left to fend hospital | :04:04. | :04:10.
saying she couldn't -- he couldn't believe she had been discharged. I | :04:10. | :04:13.
stated my fears that if she was to be released there would almost be | :04:13. | :04:19.
an incident. -- almost certainly. I felt she would throw herself off | :04:19. | :04:22.
the balcony as a fitting punishment. Earlier the court had been told of | :04:22. | :04:26.
the incident which led to a going into hospital in the first place. | :04:26. | :04:29.
She had apparently thrown for kittens from the balcony of her | :04:29. | :04:33.
flat. She had no recollection of that action the court heard, but | :04:33. | :04:38.
accepted you must have done it. In court Victoria acknowledged for the | :04:38. | :04:41.
first time in her life as a result of the kid an incident that she | :04:41. | :04:47.
needed help. He said when he sped to hospital he couldn't get them to | :04:47. | :04:51.
listen. I was trying to warn them that any would go. She wouldn't | :04:51. | :04:54.
forgive yourself for what happened to the kittens. You have just given | :04:54. | :04:59.
her a fortnight of building Harrop and giving her head, and when you | :04:59. | :05:02.
let her off the premises she will be dead before -- because she will | :05:02. | :05:06.
kill herself and they let Iraq. The inquest's verdict is expected at | :05:06. | :05:16.
:05:16. | :05:17. | ||
the end of the month. Just over an hour ago. Anti- | :05:17. | :05:19.
capitalist protestors who've been occupying land outside Bournemouth | :05:19. | :05:22.
town hall have lost their legal fight. A judge has refused them | :05:22. | :05:24.
leave to appeal against their eviction. They've been camped for | :05:24. | :05:28.
two weeks and now it's expected the bailiffs will move in. Joe Campbell | :05:28. | :05:31.
is in Bournemouth tonight, what's happening there now? They look | :05:31. | :05:37.
pretty settled behind you, not as they did they are moving anywhere. | :05:37. | :05:41.
-- not ASBO. You can see the picnic tea they are | :05:41. | :05:51.
:05:51. | :05:51. | ||
having. That belies the increased tension where a judge considered | :05:51. | :05:55.
whether or not to give them leave to appeal. Just before 5pm came the | :05:55. | :06:05.
news nobody here wanted to hear. A what is going to happen? That | :06:05. | :06:08.
announcement meant straightaway the bailiffs could move in. They | :06:08. | :06:11.
haven't done so far, the council has been looking to see if they can | :06:11. | :06:15.
get the bailiffs here on site. It hadn't wanted to waste money | :06:15. | :06:19.
keeping them on standby throughout the day. Four protesters, and | :06:19. | :06:25.
uncertain night looks to be on the cards. -- for the protesters. | :06:25. | :06:28.
want to get something done before the memorial service tomorrow. We | :06:28. | :06:32.
will not make any disruptions or interfere with those plans. I | :06:32. | :06:38.
imagine we will be off the side by then. But we want to leave under | :06:38. | :06:46.
hour in terms. At a much pressure on the council to clear the | :06:46. | :06:51.
protesters away? You had one of the protesters | :06:51. | :06:55.
mention the memorial service tomorrow marking the 11th hour on | :06:55. | :06:59.
the 11th day of the 11th month. There would normally end up here, | :06:59. | :07:05.
and we saw council workers cleaning up the war memorial in short area | :07:05. | :07:09.
from here earlier round. That means there is a pressure to get this | :07:09. | :07:13.
site clear in preparation. There is no such pressure down the coast at | :07:13. | :07:18.
Brighton where there has been a similar protest. The two | :07:18. | :07:22.
Conservative MPs have condemned that a demonstration that the Green | :07:22. | :07:25.
council West as the protesters can stay. As long as it meet their | :07:25. | :07:32.
criteria as regards disturbed -- safety, disorder and noise. They | :07:32. | :07:36.
are still here in the heart of Britain, nearly three weeks on | :07:36. | :07:46.
:07:46. | :07:47. | ||
since the occupation started. The encampment has grown to around 30p. | :07:47. | :07:56.
-- 30 tents. It is not the kind of thing you would have done a year or | :07:56. | :08:00.
two ago? I wouldn't have dreamt about it, but it is circumstances. | :08:00. | :08:06.
It is not ideal. Winter coming. Living in a tent eating from a soup | :08:06. | :08:13.
kitchen, but there are people donating food and stuff. At least a | :08:13. | :08:19.
winked starve to death. -- At least I will not. The Green MP for | :08:19. | :08:25.
Brighton Pavilion visited the site last week and spoke to protesters. | :08:25. | :08:29.
The two neighbouring Conservative MPs have condemned the occupation | :08:29. | :08:33.
of victory Gardens. The green led City Council has resisted calls for | :08:33. | :08:39.
the police to move on the Cam. are not the thought police, it is | :08:39. | :08:42.
not up to us to tell people what they should I shouldn't do, it is | :08:42. | :08:46.
up to us to preserve public safety and make sure the people living and | :08:46. | :08:49.
working in the City can go about their business unmolested. If there | :08:49. | :08:53.
is evidence that isn't happening we would like to hear it. | :08:53. | :08:57.
If the council's tests on public safety, disorder and use and | :08:57. | :09:00.
continue to be met by the campers, it appears they will be allowed to | :09:00. | :09:09.
stay. Here the clock is counting down now | :09:09. | :09:12.
to the arrival of the bailiffs. The protesters have made clear when | :09:12. | :09:16.
they do come they will leave but they have already got a list of | :09:16. | :09:26.
:09:26. | :09:32. | ||
other sites they might make to here in Bournemouth. -- move to. | :09:32. | :09:34.
Eight people have appeared before magistrates charged with sexually | :09:34. | :09:36.
abusing children over a 21-year period. 49-year-old Paul Thomas | :09:36. | :09:39.
from Basingstoke, 29-year-old Paul Flynn from Reading and Tim Pittway | :09:39. | :09:42.
who's 48 and from Winnersh are accused of raping a child and | :09:42. | :09:45.
indecent assault. They will now appear at Winchester Crown court on | :09:45. | :09:47.
25th November. Five others face a range of charges including indecent | :09:47. | :09:50.
assault and child neglect. Funding from Dorset County Council | :09:50. | :09:52.
is being withdrawn from nine libraries. Councillors voted this | :09:52. | :09:56.
morning to stop paying for the smaller libraries. They were asked | :09:56. | :10:00.
to reconsider proposals that were passed in July by a single vote but | :10:00. | :10:02.
upheld the decision. Campaigners say libraries will survive and | :10:02. | :10:03.
volunteers have come forward to help. | :10:03. | :10:06.
Still to come in this evening's South Today: We have the sport and | :10:06. | :10:09.
weather. Will this mild November Flynn | :10:09. | :10:19.
:10:19. | :10:22. | ||
continue into the weekend? -- The controversial 20 million bus | :10:22. | :10:25.
route linking Fareham and Gosport will struggle to take just 2% of | :10:25. | :10:28.
traffic off the local roads, that's according to the man who's in | :10:28. | :10:30.
charge. But Hampshire County Council believes it will still ease | :10:30. | :10:33.
congestion, attract new business and improve quality of life for | :10:33. | :10:36.
residents. The route is due to open next April. Here's our Transport | :10:36. | :10:43.
Correspondent Paul Clifton. With six months to go some parts of the | :10:43. | :10:47.
bath suite are almost finished. Wood panels to hide it from houses | :10:47. | :10:53.
behind are in place. Here is what you should look like next April. | :10:53. | :10:58.
The project had a very slow birth. For years it was going to be a | :10:58. | :11:04.
tramp with a tunnel beneath Portsmouth harbour but at 20 | :11:04. | :11:08.
million the shorter bus weight is a fraction of the cost. We have got | :11:08. | :11:14.
the last 5th of the surfacing to be done, and then a lot of | :11:14. | :11:17.
infrastructure for all the technical, electrical bits and | :11:17. | :11:22.
pieces, the real time information, CCTV cameras. When the railway line | :11:22. | :11:27.
through the centre of this image closed down Gosport became the | :11:27. | :11:31.
largest town in country without a train station. Now the track but | :11:31. | :11:36.
will be used to take buses off the congested a 32, the only main road | :11:36. | :11:44.
into the area. It will make a big difference. A small percentage of | :11:44. | :11:47.
the cars taken off the road will make a big difference for the | :11:47. | :11:50.
problem area. Most people here want this bus route, though some of its | :11:50. | :11:54.
neighbours do not. Those who protested against it still think | :11:54. | :12:04.
:12:04. | :12:05. | ||
this is a waste of money. It is not from Gosport 2 Fareham. It doesn't | :12:05. | :12:07.
effectively E feet from anywhere to anywhere. I don't think it will | :12:07. | :12:14.
work. How many people will it take off the road? We don't know that. | :12:14. | :12:19.
We cannot be too ambitious. The tram system in Manchester only took | :12:19. | :12:24.
2% of people out of their cars. will open in April. For now this is | :12:24. | :12:28.
where it will end. But in the longer term it could be extended | :12:28. | :12:32.
for another mile into Gosport. The council owns the land, it has got | :12:32. | :12:42.
:12:42. | :12:44. | ||
planning permission. But it doesn't yet have the money. But | :12:44. | :12:47.
Thousands of people turned out in Salisbury today to honour the | :12:47. | :12:52.
service of local troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. 600 members of 32 | :12:52. | :12:55.
Regiment Royal Artillery marched through the city. Guest of honour | :12:55. | :12:58.
was England World Cup legend Sir Geoff Hurst who paid tribute to the | :12:58. | :13:00.
soldiers' bravery. Steve Humphrey was there. | :13:00. | :13:03.
They clapped and cheered and waved their flags in Salisbury in | :13:04. | :13:07.
recognition of the service of these local soldiers in Iraq and | :13:07. | :13:12.
Afghanistan. It is quite a strong emotion to show they are | :13:12. | :13:15.
representing our country and fighting for us. Nice we can give | :13:16. | :13:21.
our thanks to them for what they have done. The regiment is based on | :13:21. | :13:27.
Salisbury Plain. They haven't been together for nine years, so they | :13:27. | :13:31.
are all here today, a really great event. Peanut of support shown by | :13:31. | :13:35.
local people for what we have done and what we have been doing is | :13:35. | :13:41.
unbelievable. He has been away five times in the last nine years. To | :13:41. | :13:45.
Iraq and Afghanistan and it is nice to know we are not alone relief, | :13:45. | :13:48.
there are other people grateful of the job they are doing while they | :13:48. | :13:55.
are out there. Members from the regiment are responsible for the | :13:55. | :13:59.
army drains which provide critical pictures of the battlefield. There | :13:59. | :14:09.
:14:09. | :14:09. | ||
After the March the troops took part in a service of sacked -- | :14:09. | :14:15.
backs giving at Salisbury Cathedral. They will now enjoy a break from | :14:15. | :14:19.
operations but it will not last long. Around 120 soldiers from the | :14:19. | :14:29.
regiment are due to go to Afghanistan next May. | :14:29. | :14:32.
A medal awarded to the master of Admiral Lord Nelson's flagship, HMS | :14:32. | :14:36.
Victory, has been sold for 9,000 at auction. It had belonged to | :14:36. | :14:39.
Thomas Atkinson, who was at the ship's helm throughout the Battle | :14:39. | :14:45.
of Trafalgar. The medal went under the hammer at a sale in Cheshire. | :14:45. | :14:55.
:14:55. | :14:57. | ||
The new owner got a bargain, it sold for 6,000 less than expected. | :14:57. | :15:00.
Village traders in West Sussex are starting a cooperative in a bid to | :15:00. | :15:03.
attract more shoppers to the area. 17 shop owners in Cuckfield are | :15:03. | :15:06.
paying into a pot for advertising and say they'll market themselves | :15:06. | :15:10.
as a boutique village. Danielle Glavin has more. | :15:10. | :15:14.
Cook field has a lot going for it, including three award-winning close | :15:14. | :15:19.
shops -- Cuckfield. It also has a problem. The nearby towns get the | :15:19. | :15:23.
customers. I have been open for just over two years. I still get | :15:23. | :15:28.
people to come in and say it is a boutique, we never knew you existed, | :15:28. | :15:30.
from Haywards Heath. There are living on our doorstep but don't | :15:30. | :15:36.
know. And so 17 of the shops from cafes to hairdressers are forming a | :15:37. | :15:41.
Co-op to put Cuckfield on the map. Together we have an advertising | :15:41. | :15:45.
budget, and we have branding which means collectively we can talk | :15:45. | :15:51.
about Cuckfield and it is about to retailers being part of a bigger | :15:51. | :15:55.
slice of the cake. The cult members will open on Sundays and stay open | :15:55. | :16:05.
:16:05. | :16:05. | ||
late on Thursdays. Now to Children In Need and how | :16:06. | :16:08.
your generous donations are being spent. Laura Trant has been to the | :16:09. | :16:11.
community radio station Express FM. They received a grant for over | :16:11. | :16:14.
18,000. The money is helping to run workshops for children in | :16:14. | :16:21.
disadvantaged areas of Portsmouth. We had a chat about EastEnders, her | :16:21. | :16:30.
looks, Coronation Street... These school pupils are planning to write, | :16:30. | :16:33.
produce and star in their own episode of a radio soap. I will | :16:33. | :16:43.
:16:43. | :16:46. | ||
It is a bit of a unique opportunity. When Vicky came to our school | :16:46. | :16:51.
looking to help out about what Children In Need was about a mother | :16:51. | :16:55.
money went and really put her hand off when she said there was radio | :16:55. | :17:01.
soap workshops, and for free. I thought yes, I will have it, bring | :17:01. | :17:07.
it on. So we have just established a drama group and they will tour a | :17:07. | :17:11.
playground and the schools. Children In Need gave us 18,000, | :17:11. | :17:15.
which is wonderful. We have chosen to work with some of the and people | :17:15. | :17:20.
in some of the more challenging wards in the City, almost like a | :17:20. | :17:23.
generational leap of underperforming. We have discovered | :17:23. | :17:28.
over the years if you can give people of all ages and opportunity | :17:28. | :17:32.
to put them in a different environment where they can begin to | :17:32. | :17:42.
:17:42. | :17:54. | ||
perform in a different way, magic We learnt something new today. It | :17:54. | :18:00.
is better than school. It is about literacy, teamwork, understanding | :18:00. | :18:07.
how to speak, communication. It is teamwork, learning through | :18:07. | :18:12.
something that is interesting. We have got a brilliant opportunity to | :18:12. | :18:16.
do that. You are bonkers if you don't take it up, that is my | :18:16. | :18:24.
opinion. You have to be able to talk and deal with these things | :18:24. | :18:31.
going on, and it helps you shop -- stop being shy about it and work at | :18:31. | :18:40.
it. It is overwhelming, to be honest. To be here and doing what | :18:40. | :18:47.
we're doing, it is not many do every day. Children need project -- | :18:47. | :18:50.
projects like this are the lifeblood of organisations like | :18:50. | :18:55.
this. Baking come up with a creative idea that Children In Need | :18:55. | :19:05.

support that creates magic. Thank That is how your money is being | :19:05. | :19:15.
:19:15. | :19:25. | ||
spent. Portsmouth Football Club finally appointed in you manager. | :19:25. | :19:31.
We are here to find out who he is and find out a bit about him. The | :19:31. | :19:35.
Wordstar course and risk came up today. Michael Appleton has come | :19:35. | :19:39.
from nowhere to get this job. Portsmouth think they have found a | :19:39. | :19:46.
real gem and a talent for the future. | :19:46. | :19:52.
So what do we know about Michael Appleton? He's one of the game's | :19:52. | :19:55.
younger bosses, aged 35. He started out as a Manchester United academy | :19:55. | :19:58.
player, but the bulk of his playing career was spent with Preston and | :19:58. | :20:01.
West Bromwich Albion. But it was at West Brom that he suffered a career | :20:02. | :20:05.
ending knee injury which set him on the road to coaching at the age of | :20:05. | :20:08.
just 27. Since June 2009 he's been an assistant head Coach at West | :20:09. | :20:11.
Bromwich Albion working under Roy Hodgson. And it's there that his | :20:11. | :20:13.
reputation within football has apparently blossomed, today | :20:13. | :20:23.
Portsmouth put the welcome signs up for him, literally. He has rarely | :20:23. | :20:26.
been up in lights but he has been ready to take the step into | :20:26. | :20:30.
management for a while. I needed a challenge, have been at West Brom | :20:30. | :20:34.
for years. To get an opportunity to be manager of a club that have big | :20:34. | :20:40.
plans, it interested me more than anything. Schooled at Manchester | :20:40. | :20:44.
United he knows Portsmouth are at the beginning of a long process to | :20:44. | :20:47.
bring the whole club from training ground and stadium up to scratch. | :20:47. | :20:51.
He must balance that with the reality of the results driven | :20:51. | :20:55.
business. I can say I want to improve the infrastructure and all | :20:55. | :20:59.
these things but I very well aware of the results on the pitch don't | :20:59. | :21:04.
pan out as we expect a woman -- not get the opportunity to do that. | :21:04. | :21:08.
Portsmouth had a shortlist of 10 for the job. They admit Appleton is | :21:09. | :21:14.
a risk, and he was a dark horse. would like to think it is more | :21:14. | :21:17.
indicative of the that we have done our homework and try to get the | :21:17. | :21:27.
:21:27. | :21:28. | ||
best man for the job he will fit in. If they can they need to get a | :21:28. | :21:32.
situation where they are playing at the highest level of football and | :21:32. | :21:39.
sustain it LEVEL without putting football at risk. The 35 Royal has | :21:39. | :21:44.
a week to settle in before he takes Portsmouth to Watford. -- 35-year- | :21:44. | :21:51.
old. And the full interviews with new | :21:51. | :21:54.
manager Michael Appleton and Chief executive David Lampitt are already | :21:54. | :22:02.
online at the BBC website. The Brighton boss Gus Poyet has | :22:02. | :22:04.
marked two years in the job by admitting standards in English | :22:05. | :22:07.
football need to rise. Gus Poyet led Brighton to the League One | :22:08. | :22:10.
title last season before their move to the new Amex Stadium. It's | :22:11. | :22:13.
Poyet's first full time managerial job but he's passionate about his | :22:13. | :22:16.
belief that English football must develop its players from a young | :22:16. | :22:19.
age. I'm very critical of what has been happening in England. I'm fed | :22:19. | :22:24.
up with people talking about the technical ability of the English | :22:24. | :22:34.
:22:34. | :22:36. | ||
play. I had that for the first time in 1997. -- heard that. 2025, maybe | :22:36. | :22:40.
we have got 100 bear to play his plane in the Premier League. Really | :22:40. | :22:49.
interesting stuff. More on BBC Sussex in the next couple of days. | :22:49. | :22:51.
Meanwhile tonight The Amex Stadium hosts its first international match. | :22:51. | :22:54.
England under 19's will play Denmark. The game is sold out at | :22:54. | :22:58.
the new stadium, and is set to be a record crowd for an under 19 | :22:58. | :23:00.
international. Another significant date in the sailing. Some of the | :23:00. | :23:05.
region's top sailors in London for a press conference, one of the | :23:05. | :23:08.
toughest races in the sport, single-handed non-stop around the | :23:08. | :23:14.
world. It is the ultimate test of what people are made of. It is | :23:14. | :23:17.
taking you to some of the most hostile environments in a plaid, | :23:17. | :23:21.
you go down the Atlantic, north and south, around the bottom of | :23:21. | :23:28.
Antarctica. You are further from other human beings than it is | :23:28. | :23:35.
possible to be than in space. hear about the cricket? South | :23:35. | :23:40.
Africa and Australia. The Australia all out for 47. 21 for 9 at one | :23:40. | :23:50.
point. That is just an Hurdle. I feel so sorry for them. The weather | :23:50. | :24:00.
:24:00. | :24:02. | ||
was a much better for them. The weather has been cloudy once | :24:02. | :24:12.
:24:12. | :24:12. | ||
again. It is cloudy, mild, a bit of rain, light spots this evening. It | :24:12. | :24:18.
was a mild and cloudy. Nothing to spectacular. A bit of help fog, | :24:18. | :24:24.
maybe even some fall lower levels. What is quite fascinating is the | :24:24. | :24:27.
lowest temperatures are closer to what our daytime high temperatures | :24:27. | :24:32.
should be. A bit of early drizzle, that eases away fairly quickly. A | :24:32. | :24:39.
lot of cloud through the day. A high of 15 degrees. A bit of a | :24:39. | :24:46.
south-easterly breeze. The temperatures are quite high for | :24:46. | :24:56.
Southampton. Normally you should be around 12 degrees. That is the | :24:56. | :24:59.
scene for much of the day through Friday. The rain is in Dorset for | :24:59. | :25:04.
the second half of the afternoon. For other parts past the evening | :25:04. | :25:14.
:25:14. | :25:14. | ||
rush-hour. Behind it, a lot of cloud. A great across the board. | :25:14. | :25:22.
But things will improve. We will see some sunshine, it will stay dry. | :25:22. | :25:31.
The odd shower creeping into Dorset. Saturday, very mild. Sunday, Kaddy | :25:31. | :25:36.
to begin with, then improving through the day. Certainly dry, a | :25:36. | :25:46.
:25:46. | :25:47. | ||
bit on the breezy site. The same severely air on Monday. -- so that | :25:47. | :25:57.
:25:57. | :25:57. | ||
you wind. Friday, of the cast and breezy. Saturday, mainly dry. A | :25:57. | :26:07.
:26:07. | :26:12. | ||
Sunday, more of the same. No chance Pupils at a school near Southampton | :26:12. | :26:15.
have a new addition to their class. This jackdaw flew into Bursledon | :26:15. | :26:19.
Junior School yesterday. After tapping on the window he decided to | :26:19. | :26:22.
join the students indoors. He's been named Fred and appears to be | :26:22. | :26:25.
fairly tame. It's thought he may be a pet that's escaped. The children, | :26:25. | :26:29.
of course, are hoping he'll become a permanent member of the school. | :26:29. | :26:35.
He flew through our classroom and landed on my friends work. Then | :26:35. | :26:43.
flew across onto my back. We like this both very much. He is friendly | :26:43. | :26:50. |
