Hello, I am Sally Taylor. Welcome to South Today. In tonight's

:00:05.:00:08.

programme... We're at the scene of a large

:00:08.:00:11.

hospital fire in Winchester tonight. Staff and patients have been moved

:00:11.:00:15.

out. No through road. Why the new

:00:15.:00:17.

Hindhead Tunnel was completely closed just months after its grand

:00:17.:00:20.

opening. Helping heroes to regain their

:00:20.:00:24.

lives. The dogs giving injured service personnel a new lease of

:00:24.:00:33.

life. When the guns go quiet on the battlefield, the battle with

:00:33.:00:36.

disability and bereavement are beginning for so many.

:00:36.:00:39.

And the Christmas message in a green bottle from the recycling bin

:00:39.:00:49.
:00:49.:01:02.

Scores of firefighters are tonight tackling a major fire at one of the

:01:02.:01:06.

South's main hospitals. Ten appliances and three vehicles with

:01:06.:01:08.

aerial ladder platforms were sent to the Royal Hampshire County

:01:08.:01:11.

Hospital in Winchester after a blaze broke out in the building

:01:11.:01:18.

housing the MRI scanner. Roads around the hospital are closed. We

:01:18.:01:26.

can join Steve Humphrey. Bring us up to date. This is a major

:01:26.:01:29.

emergency at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester.

:01:29.:01:34.

There is a huge amount of emergency services activity. If I move around,

:01:34.:01:41.

you can get some idea of the number of people involved. We are told 100

:01:41.:01:45.

firefighters are on scene and a lot of people from the ambulance and

:01:45.:01:51.

police. This started in the MRI building, which is just behind me,

:01:51.:01:56.

at around about 4pm. Firefighters saved the managed to contain the

:01:56.:02:02.

fire quickly, but there was an evacuation of people. We were told

:02:02.:02:07.

that some patients were in the middle of operations at the time I.

:02:07.:02:12.

55 people were evacuated from do It areas affected. That included the

:02:13.:02:18.

intensive care unit. They have been moved to a safe area in another

:02:18.:02:25.

part of the hospital. And patients in the middle of operations have

:02:25.:02:28.

already been moved. The Accident and Emergency department is closed

:02:28.:02:36.

at the moment. So no admissions at the moment. Just joining me is

:02:36.:02:39.

someone from the fire and rescue Service. I think you came here

:02:39.:02:47.

around about four o'clock this afternoon? Yes. The MRI section was

:02:47.:02:53.

well alight and was threatening to impinge on the main hospital.

:02:53.:02:58.

was the main priority? Fortunately, the hospital had evacuated, so we

:02:58.:03:05.

could prioritise getting some water on that fire to extinguish it.

:03:06.:03:12.

big emergency. You have people from across Hampshire? Yes, nearly 100

:03:12.:03:17.

firefighters. We have surrounded the fire and had a four sided

:03:17.:03:22.

attack. A lot of the work is still being done, but we still have a lot

:03:22.:03:29.

of work to do. And no casualties? No. We have a lot of ambulances and

:03:29.:03:35.

the aerial response team standing back. I am pleased to say, we have

:03:35.:03:41.

no casualties, which is fantastic. Thank you. We were told by the

:03:41.:03:44.

hospital Accident and Emergency is likely to be closed until at least

:03:44.:03:49.

a moral and people are being advised to stay away from the area.

:03:49.:03:54.

Romsey Road is closed. If you look up here, it is clogged with

:03:54.:03:58.

emergency services vehicles. We have more later and more on the

:03:58.:04:05.

late bulletin at 10:25pm. For now, from the Royal County Hospital,

:04:05.:04:08.

back to the studio. Thank you. We will talk to you later in the

:04:08.:04:17.

programme. The controversial plans to spend

:04:17.:04:20.

more than 30 million of council tax payers' money on building a

:04:20.:04:22.

hotel at Hampshire's Rosebowl cricket ground have taken a new

:04:23.:04:26.

tonight. Within the last couple of hours, Eastleigh Borough Council

:04:26.:04:29.

has announced it won't just be building a hotel. It's going to buy

:04:29.:04:33.

the whole of the Rosebowl ground, stadium and all. Chris Coneybeer is

:04:33.:04:38.

here. This is a dramatic development. The

:04:38.:04:40.

council had already committed itself to spending 32 million on a

:04:41.:04:43.

new hotel. Now it will spend an additional 6.5 million on the

:04:44.:04:47.

whole of the Rosebowl site. The Rosebowl will then pay rent to the

:04:47.:04:51.

council. A short time ago, the leader of the council told me why

:04:52.:04:54.

they see it as a great deal for the borough.

:04:54.:04:58.

But its very much alongside other investments we have made over the

:04:58.:05:03.

last few years. -- it fits. We have acquired sites, shopping centres,

:05:03.:05:09.

hotels, with strong rental income we have been able to use to protect

:05:09.:05:13.

services from public sector cuts, produce more income and keep

:05:13.:05:17.

council tax down. It keeps within that way of doing things.

:05:17.:05:20.

Why does the Rosebowl want this development? And why does Eastleigh

:05:21.:05:25.

council want to be involved? idea is to make the Rosebowl more

:05:25.:05:29.

attractive and therefore a more profitable cricket ground. They

:05:29.:05:33.

want to build a big new hotel on the site with 175 beds. That is

:05:33.:05:37.

along with a conference centre and 18-hole championship golf course.

:05:37.:05:40.

The council says it wants to be involved, because the project would

:05:40.:05:48.

benefit its local tax payers. They say it would create 500 jobs,

:05:48.:05:51.

secure others and generally have a positive economic impact on the

:05:51.:05:55.

area. And why does the Rosebowl need all this?

:05:56.:05:59.

The ground itself does need a significant boost financially. The

:05:59.:06:02.

latest figures show the Rosebowl made a loss of getting on for

:06:02.:06:05.

900,000 last year. That is nearly double the loss of the previous

:06:05.:06:09.

year. So it needs to attract international and Test match

:06:09.:06:12.

cricket and top events. And that is where they feel these developments

:06:12.:06:18.

could help. We have followed this and it has been controversial

:06:18.:06:23.

throughout. Very much so. The plans at one stage were challenged by

:06:23.:06:27.

hoteliers, who tried to get the decision overturned by the courts.

:06:27.:06:29.

But they ultimately withdrew that challenge after reaching an

:06:30.:06:32.

agreement with the council that their concerns have been listened

:06:32.:06:35.

to. What were described as appropriate measures were taken to

:06:35.:06:41.

address those concerns and ensure the viability of the project. But

:06:41.:06:48.

there does remain opposition. Earlier I spoke to the leader of

:06:48.:06:55.

the minority Conservative group. The idea is all right, the ideas of

:06:55.:07:01.

right. But this is outside of the function of local Government to

:07:01.:07:08.

fund, build and operate a hotel. -- the idea is all right.

:07:08.:07:11.

So what happens now? This new revised plan wll go to the full

:07:11.:07:15.

council next Thursday. If they approve it, work on the hotel will

:07:15.:07:18.

start early next year and should be finished in 18 months. The we shall

:07:18.:07:24.

watch with interest, thank you. A 27-year-old man, who has been

:07:24.:07:28.

charged with the murder of a baby girl, has been remanded in custody.

:07:28.:07:30.

Jerome Edwards, who is from Midhurst, will appear at the Hove

:07:30.:07:34.

Trial Centre on 20th January, when he will enter a plea. Crystal Hall

:07:34.:07:37.

Hummell, who was from Worthing, died at St Thomas's Hospital in

:07:37.:07:42.

London in May earlier this year. It has been open for less than five

:07:42.:07:46.

months. But last night, the Hindhead Tunnel had to be closed

:07:46.:07:49.

completely after a power cut caused by bad weather. Thousands of

:07:49.:07:53.

motorists were caught in the gridlock. The tunnel takes traffic

:07:53.:07:56.

under the Devil's Punchbowl on the A3 London to Portsmouth road. The

:07:56.:07:59.

Highways Agency says the three-hour closure was necessary because a

:07:59.:08:05.

back-up generator also failed. A full investigation is underway.

:08:05.:08:11.

Then mile long Hindhead Tunnel cost 371 million to build, with the

:08:11.:08:15.

purpose to relieve a notorious bottleneck between London and

:08:15.:08:20.

Portsmouth. Traffic has slowed since the end of July. But there

:08:20.:08:23.

was a power failure last night and the back-up power generator did not

:08:23.:08:28.

kick in, meaning there was no air ventilation at no lights were

:08:28.:08:32.

switched on. The Highways Agency say closing the tunnel was a

:08:32.:08:36.

precautionary measure, also saying diversions were put in place as

:08:36.:08:39.

quickly as possible. But there was also a recognition that lessons may

:08:39.:08:45.

be needed to be learnt. But last night's the ham is not a surprise

:08:45.:08:53.

to residents who campaigned about closing the old stretch of the A3.

:08:53.:09:03.
:09:03.:09:04.

We would have preferred that parts of it was kept open. Thousands of

:09:04.:09:09.

vehicles go through the tunnel each day. It was terrible, but I do not

:09:09.:09:12.

think there was much that could have been done. Hopefully it will

:09:12.:09:18.

get better. Obviously, it was not tested enough. There was lots of

:09:18.:09:24.

traffic trying to go up through the Old A3. Because the sat navs

:09:24.:09:28.

situation has not changed. There was a queue of lorries going

:09:28.:09:33.

straight through as a normal. local residents I spoke to said

:09:33.:09:38.

they hoped the tunnel will stand the worse whether that may be yet

:09:38.:09:47.

to come. Talks over controversial plans to

:09:47.:09:50.

build 2000 new homes on land at Barton Farm near Winchester will

:09:50.:09:53.

continue into the new year. Councillors met last night to agree

:09:53.:09:56.

proposals, despite earlier plans by a private developer being thrown

:09:56.:09:59.

out by the Secretary of State. Winchester City Council says, while

:09:59.:10:01.

the specific application by Carla Homes was rejected, Barton Farm is

:10:01.:10:05.

still a preferred site. It is part of plans for 11,000 new homes in

:10:05.:10:11.

parts of Hampshire over the next 20 years.

:10:11.:10:14.

The Politics Show on Sunday will be talking about housebuilding and

:10:14.:10:21.

homelessness. Peter Henley is with me now. It will be the final

:10:21.:10:25.

edition of the Politics Show after how long? Nearly nine years, Sally,

:10:25.:10:27.

since the first edition of our Sunday Political extravaganza.

:10:27.:10:31.

Joining up Downing Street with your street used to be the slogan. We'll

:10:31.:10:34.

be back at the same time in the new year with a new programme, new

:10:35.:10:38.

approach and some new presenters. Hour will be there still. For this

:10:38.:10:43.

last ever programme, I have look back over the last nine years that

:10:43.:10:47.

housebuilding. It is one of the things talked about with so little

:10:47.:10:51.

action. Waiting lists started at the beginning of the programme with

:10:51.:10:58.

less than 300,000 and are now up past 500,000. That is because

:10:58.:11:08.
:11:08.:11:08.

prices have risen. But incomes have not. Good festive spirit as well?

:11:08.:11:13.

Yes. Some towns are spending more on Christmas markets. But do they

:11:13.:11:16.

just drag shoppers from one place to another or actually increase the

:11:16.:11:19.

amount people spend overall? And what about towns who've cut back on

:11:19.:11:26.

lights? We found one remarkable story of a local councillor in

:11:26.:11:29.

Waterlooville who's spent 3000 of his own money to keep the fairy

:11:29.:11:32.

lights burning. I immediately was enraged, because

:11:32.:11:35.

I have grown up with Christmas festivities and decided that,

:11:35.:11:41.

whatever happens, I am going to install lights. A whole scene,

:11:41.:11:47.

including installation, is costing me about 3,000. That is a lot of

:11:47.:11:52.

money. Yes, but think of the pleasure I will get seeing

:11:52.:11:58.

everybody enjoying the lights. He is absolutely genuine. He has

:11:58.:12:07.

spent that money and the council has matched sample stop -- has much

:12:07.:12:12.

some. But will that money generate more trade? That's the question on

:12:12.:12:17.

the last ever Politics Show. 12 midday Sunday on BBC One. I hope we

:12:17.:12:25.

can stick to our time for your next job. Have a good show, thank you.

:12:25.:12:28.

Still to come in this evening's South Today... Will Irish eyes be

:12:28.:12:35.

smiling as the Exiles face crunch match across the English Channel?

:12:35.:12:41.

It is called Hounds for Heroes. And it is a new scheme to train puppies

:12:41.:12:44.

so they can help injured servicemen and women carry out basic tasks

:12:44.:12:47.

likes shopping, opening doors and getting money out of cash machines.

:12:47.:12:50.

The first six puppies are being trained up at the moment. Robert

:12:50.:12:52.

Hall has been to Hampshire to see them.

:12:52.:12:58.

Puppies on parade. This dog was named after a DD

:12:58.:13:05.

invasion beach. Monty was named after Field Marshal Montgomery.

:13:05.:13:10.

Another named after a soldier who fell in Afghanistan. And Flanders

:13:10.:13:20.
:13:20.:13:21.

and Colonel. And another named after a Red Arrows pilot this year.

:13:21.:13:30.

Juno! 6 new recruits that could change lives. These puppies are

:13:30.:13:34.

destined for the homes of those who have lost mobility and independence.

:13:34.:13:39.

For now, it is the basics that count. The first simple commands

:13:39.:13:43.

and the idea that doing something right will be rewarded with praise

:13:44.:13:49.

and, perhaps, a treat. It is very rewarding and the past few months

:13:49.:13:56.

are difficult, because that is when we are learning so much so quickly.

:13:56.:14:00.

You see servicemen coming home on television, what they have been

:14:00.:14:04.

through, especially those with serious injuries. I do not think

:14:04.:14:10.

enough is done for them. initiative has been driven by a

:14:10.:14:16.

former chief petty officer. Left partially paralysed after the Gulf

:14:16.:14:21.

war, he says his chance encounter with one special dog gave him the

:14:21.:14:25.

strength to fight back. His head injuries were so severe that he

:14:25.:14:30.

remembered little of his past life and nothing of his wife and family.

:14:30.:14:35.

That was before his labrador became his friend and helper. Little by

:14:35.:14:40.

little, he regained his memory and his love for those dearest to him.

:14:40.:14:44.

He brought me back to my wife and children in such a manner that,

:14:44.:14:49.

having lost memories of my wife, we were remarried. He saved my life.

:14:49.:14:57.

Today, the dog has been followed by another one, he is something of an

:14:57.:15:06.

expert with buttons. Cash machines. And the weekly shop. Good boy. This

:15:06.:15:11.

is life in the billing. 900,000 people could benefit from this. It

:15:11.:15:16.

does not stop here. And it is to remind people, when the guns go

:15:16.:15:20.

quiet, the battle with disability, trauma and bereavement are

:15:20.:15:24.

beginning for so many. The new recruits have a fine example to

:15:24.:15:31.

follow, achieving the standard will be a lot of hard work. But for the

:15:31.:15:35.

dogs and owners, the awards are an ending.

:15:35.:15:41.

Robert Hall on the new puppies. We had That doggie in the studio, an

:15:41.:15:49.

absolutely amazing animal. Gorgeous and brilliant. They are superb. You

:15:49.:15:55.

have all the sport for the weekend? Yes. A really busy weekend. The

:15:55.:15:58.

cross country Championships in Europe. We can hopefully update due

:15:58.:16:03.

on Monday. A full diary of football fixtures

:16:03.:16:07.

this weekend, with all the teams in action. Reading have one of the

:16:07.:16:10.

biggest games. Their meeting with second-placed West Ham at the

:16:10.:16:14.

Madjeski Stadium is a sell-out. It is the first match to do so since

:16:14.:16:17.

the Royals' days in the top flight. Noel Hunt and Joseph Mills were

:16:17.:16:20.

back at training after injury. They should be in contention for the

:16:20.:16:23.

game against the Hammers, who have the championship's strongest away

:16:23.:16:26.

record. It is the kind of game you want to be in Bolton. They are

:16:26.:16:31.

flying high in the championship and you expect them to have players to

:16:31.:16:36.

play against. -- you want to be involved in. Look through their

:16:36.:16:43.

teens and indications and look at the bench and they have top players.

:16:43.:16:47.

-- their teams. But it is about us doing what we can do and respecting

:16:47.:16:52.

them, but there is nothing to fear from our point of view.

:16:52.:16:55.

Brighton have had a recent resurgence in form, winning their

:16:55.:16:58.

last three league games. An injury- time goal was enough to upset

:16:58.:17:01.

Nottingham Forest last weekend. But tomorrow, they head to

:17:01.:17:04.

Middlesbrough for what is likely to be a much tougher challenge.

:17:04.:17:07.

Middlesbrough are 4th, tipped for a top six finish. The Seagulls are

:17:07.:17:15.

currently seventh. One of the toughest places at her. For us, it

:17:15.:17:21.

is a nice challenge. -- toughest places abroad. But they have been

:17:21.:17:29.

in the position, the Premier League, everything looks in their favour.

:17:29.:17:39.
:17:39.:17:40.

90 minutes of a football game, anything could happen.

:17:40.:17:42.

Elsewhere in the Championship, top of the table Southampton were

:17:42.:17:45.

defeated by stragglers Doncaster last week. As they felt the loss of

:17:45.:17:48.

top scorer Rickie Lambert. Lambert is still an injury doubt for

:17:48.:17:50.

tomorrow as they host Blackpool. And Portsmouth travel to Burnley,

:17:50.:17:55.

seven places above them, buoyed by a 2-1 win against Coventry.

:17:55.:17:59.

Some sad news for Portsmouth fans today. Former Pompey and England

:17:59.:18:04.

footballer, Len Phillips, has died at the age of 89. He spent his

:18:04.:18:10.

entire professional career at Portsmouth. He made 245 senior

:18:10.:18:14.

appearances and scored 48 goals and won three caps for England. He was

:18:14.:18:17.

a member of the Pompey teams which won the First Division title in

:18:17.:18:21.

1949 and 1950. To round up the rest of the

:18:22.:18:25.

fixtures, then. In League One, Bournemouth have a trip to

:18:25.:18:31.

That is the scene of their play-off heartbreak back in May. Their

:18:31.:18:35.

opposition are currently third. And Aldershot, who went out of the FA

:18:36.:18:43.

Cup last weekend, host fourth- Crawley are still flying high. But

:18:43.:18:46.

it is a big weekend in the League with the potential for upset. The

:18:46.:18:48.

second placed Red Devils are pitched against fifth-placed Burton

:18:49.:18:51.

Albion Bay. In another match at this weekend, it is first versus

:18:52.:18:56.

third. The managers hoping the results will go in their favour.

:18:56.:19:01.

They are statistics for 2011 a extraordinary, a very strong win

:19:01.:19:07.

ratio. We have to keep that going, because that a Jew success. As a

:19:07.:19:14.

single week goes, it is huge. -- because that brings you success. We

:19:14.:19:21.

want things to go in our favour. And coverage on BBC local radio, as

:19:21.:19:23.

always. London Irish play in France

:19:23.:19:28.

tomorrow in a crunch match in the Heineken Cup. They go into their

:19:28.:19:31.

clash against Parisian side, Racing Metro, bottom of Pool 2 having lost

:19:31.:19:34.

their first two matches against Edinburgh and Cardiff.

:19:35.:19:37.

Realistically, they have to win three out of their four remaining

:19:37.:19:40.

games to stand a chance of staying in the competition. But the Exiles

:19:41.:19:47.

are up for it. We know the challenge, we need to

:19:47.:19:51.

win. We trained hard to give everything we can. It is not so

:19:51.:19:57.

much Racing Metro's form which is daunting. The French side are only

:19:57.:20:01.

one point ahead and lost their two previous Games. But the lack of a

:20:01.:20:06.

salary cap means it is a side packed with internationals. We have

:20:06.:20:11.

to watch out for those X Factor players. But as we had seen -- but

:20:11.:20:16.

as we have seen this season, week after play as well as possible.

:20:16.:20:21.

we respect them, of course, because of the quality of their players.

:20:21.:20:27.

Their wage bill, and so on. But we are very competitive and up energy

:20:27.:20:34.

can take you a long way. penalty kicker is currently the

:20:34.:20:38.

Premiership's top points scorer, he was not here, an injury doubt. But

:20:38.:20:44.

this match is billed about being more about tries than penalties.

:20:44.:20:49.

Because it is do or die, you will see two teams going forward.

Whoever can do that the best and the clinical and make less errors

:20:53.:20:58.

whilst going for it will come out on top. It is special and it will

:20:58.:21:08.

be great if we can get that victory over France. And good luck to them.

:21:08.:21:11.

There was an all-British fight in the Finn class at the World Sailing

:21:11.:21:14.

Championships in Perth. Lymington's Ben Ainslie won the first race of

:21:14.:21:18.

the day. He lost out to Weymouth's Giles Scott in Race Two.

:21:18.:21:21.

Bournemouth's Ed Wright came third. However, the results mean Ainslie

:21:21.:21:28.

once again leads the class overall. Some quick news. Monty Panesar was

:21:28.:21:35.

named in their squad against Pakistan. Great for him.

:21:35.:21:40.

Thank you very much. Christmas is just around the corner. Argue

:21:40.:21:48.

having a clear-out in preparation for their presents? Do you recycle?

:21:48.:21:55.

I do some of that. Well, people taking their rubbish to the

:21:55.:21:58.

household waste and recycling centre in Hove over the next few

:21:58.:22:01.

weeks may get more than they bargained for. Sean Killick went

:22:01.:22:03.

along to find out why. People came to throw away their

:22:03.:22:13.

rubbish, none expected this greeting.

:22:13.:22:23.
:22:23.:22:23.

SINGING. Come and recycle. A host of bin men singing carols

:22:23.:22:29.

with the lyrics changed to promote a recycling message.

:22:29.:22:37.

And a recycled DVD! The workers formed a choir. They

:22:37.:22:43.

had to overcome some nervousness. Oh my God was the first official

:22:43.:22:47.

thought, but we are getting on with it and having some fun. I like to

:22:47.:22:56.

sing. We love a bit of karaoke. I was up on it. Workers also hope to

:22:56.:23:00.

encourage people not to throw their Christmas waste into landfill bins.

:23:00.:23:05.

After the Christmas period, there is a lot of packaging and materials

:23:05.:23:09.

that people tend not to recycle. The choir was heavenly, to most

:23:09.:23:19.
:23:19.:23:23.

people. The Cancer Inc. Maybe slightly off-key. -- they can sing.

:23:23.:23:27.

Fantastic. Made my journey enjoyable. They are in the festive

:23:27.:23:33.

spirit. This is the first time doing this, but the plan to do next

:23:34.:23:40.

year, recycling the songs. -- but the plan to do it next year,

:23:40.:23:45.

recycling the songs. That is wonderful. I wonder what

:23:45.:23:50.

Gareth Malone would think. Oh, all the wasteful, that is what we've

:23:50.:23:58.

got. We should think of more. Put a smile on our face for the weather.

:23:58.:24:03.

It is pretty good on Saturday. Not so good on Sunday.

:24:03.:24:06.

What a difference a day makes. From the wet and windy conditions

:24:06.:24:09.

yesterday to a calm sunny day at Lee-on-the-Solent.

:24:09.:24:12.

Ken Gillam captured a little egret hunting in the sunshine at

:24:12.:24:15.

Farlington Marshes near Portsmouth. And Tony Hughes from Chichester

:24:15.:24:18.

captured the full moon in the clear skies as the sun went down this

:24:19.:24:28.
:24:29.:24:29.

Lovely conditions, but very cold conditions through the early hours.

:24:29.:24:33.

Widespread frost. Where we have had some showers from the Bristol

:24:33.:24:39.

Channel, the risk of some ice on untreated services. These are

:24:39.:24:44.

values in towns and cities. In the countryside, or more than most

:24:44.:24:50.

areas, maybe even lower. A chilly start tomorrow. Temperature

:24:50.:24:59.

struggling to rise despite the sunshine. Some chances of showers.

:24:59.:25:04.

And some just -- and some drifting in from the Bristol Channel. More

:25:04.:25:09.

cloud tomorrow night. We have some clear spells down towards the South

:25:09.:25:16.

and east, hovering towards freezing. Once again, the risk of ice. A main

:25:16.:25:20.

band of rain arriving from the North West. A weather front will

:25:20.:25:25.

slowly sink its way southwards and these words on Sunday. With it a

:25:25.:25:32.

breeze, but not as strong as yesterday. -- eastwards on Sunday.

:25:32.:25:35.

Clearing in the North and west by the end of the day, clearing by

:25:35.:25:43.

Monday. That will be a bright day before a band of rain arrives.

:25:43.:25:47.

There is a low pressure wrapping itself around, coming in towards

:25:47.:25:52.

the North of Scotland, producing some wet weather and all so very

:25:53.:25:58.

strong winds. There is an early warning in force for as with gale-

:25:58.:26:05.

force winds gusting up to 60 mph. This low pressure swings in from

:26:05.:26:10.

the Atlantic, very light yesterday, saw winds will be strong and there

:26:10.:26:15.

will be rain at times. Enjoy the sunshine tomorrow. Very cold after

:26:15.:26:19.

a frosty start, a wet and windy on Sunday, watch out for the wind on

:26:19.:26:23.

Tuesday. Thank you to. Let us returned to

:26:23.:26:29.

the main story and that large buyer. We can join Steve Humphrey again. -

:26:29.:26:39.

- that large fire. What is the You can see smoke behind me. That

building houses the MRI scanner, where the fire started. 100

:26:45.:26:48.

firefighters have been battling the flames and a large presence from

:26:48.:26:53.

ambulancemen. We have paramedics with breathing sets in case anyone

:26:53.:27:01.

has to go into. As we understand, no casualties. 55 people moved out

:27:01.:27:05.

of the areas affected. We were told the intensive care unit was built

:27:05.:27:11.

at the time, all those people moved. Also some people in the middle of

:27:11.:27:14.

operations. All of those people moved to safety and the Accident

and Emergency section will be closed until tomorrow morning. Back

to you. Thank you. And bbc.co.uk/hampshire will be
