Allah. Welcome to South today. Tonight, tackling the crisis in ANA.

:00:00.:00:20.

The unit which has helped keep elderly patients out of hospital.

:00:21.:00:26.

We are going to knock your house down. The letter sent by mistake to

:00:27.:00:33.

householders. We were completely shocked and disgusted that it should

:00:34.:00:38.

happen. But it has left us wondering, will this be the end of

:00:39.:00:41.

it? And we will be finding out what life

:00:42.:00:45.

is like for the sailors on the Portsmouth ships which are now based

:00:46.:00:50.

here, in Bahrain. And the pyjamas which a student

:00:51.:00:51.

hopes have healing powers. A special unit for elderly people

:00:52.:01:09.

has helped keep more than 1500 patients out of accident and

:01:10.:01:13.

emergency this year. The Oxfordshire unit sees hundreds of patients a

:01:14.:01:17.

month, with most of them going home the same day. As we reported last

:01:18.:01:23.

night, emergency departments are under increasing pressure this year.

:01:24.:01:26.

The NHS is trying to find new ways of keeping people out of hospital.

:01:27.:01:31.

Our health correspondent spent the day at the unit, in Abingdon.

:01:32.:01:35.

Morris has a weak heart. The condition has suddenly got worse and

:01:36.:01:43.

his legs are swelling. I have had water on the legs for about three

:01:44.:01:46.

weeks or so. They have been trying to get rid of it via tablets or

:01:47.:01:55.

whatever. Have you fallen over at all? The 83`year`old might have

:01:56.:02:01.

ended up in accident and emergency. Instead, he has come here, to a

:02:02.:02:07.

special unit in Abingdon. They have a nursing assessment. By the sound

:02:08.:02:14.

of it, he has been finding mobility difficult at home. We will get a

:02:15.:02:20.

therapist to see him. The unit sees 250 people a month. The average age

:02:21.:02:25.

is 85. Most are seen within 60 minutes of being referred by a GP.

:02:26.:02:30.

They come into us. We can do blood tests, x`rays, we can give

:02:31.:02:35.

treatment, fluids or give them a grip, give them the medication. And

:02:36.:02:39.

most of our patients go home the same day. And hour after he arrived,

:02:40.:02:45.

he is seen by a doctor. This unit was set up to keep its patients out

:02:46.:02:49.

of hospital. We are all living longer and that is a success, but we

:02:50.:02:53.

are living longer with multiple conditions, and this brings it into

:02:54.:03:00.

focus, that the NHS needs to do things in a different way, but still

:03:01.:03:04.

maintain high`quality, or improved quality, even with a reduced

:03:05.:03:11.

funding. This unit can be a model of the way that can be achieved. The

:03:12.:03:17.

unit is popular with patients. Most live within a 30 Minute Drive. But

:03:18.:03:22.

isn't it just a return to the cottage hospital? This we always

:03:23.:03:29.

have challenge around being called a cottage hospital, because we have

:03:30.:03:35.

21st`century standards. We are very active in supporting patients.

:03:36.:03:42.

Five hours after he arrived, Morris is getting ready to leave. Not to my

:03:43.:03:49.

hospital bed... Thank you very much for your help. But back to his own

:03:50.:03:53.

home. Let's talk more. This seems to be

:03:54.:03:57.

working. Could it be used elsewhere? Be health trust that `` the health

:03:58.:04:05.

trust that runs the unit is talking about developing the plan. The

:04:06.:04:14.

numbers concerned are within rural areas. Whether it could work in a

:04:15.:04:17.

city centre with more patients, we do not know. There is a lot of

:04:18.:04:22.

effort going into this to keep people out of hospital. There is.

:04:23.:04:26.

Especially with the elderly. I was surprised at the variety of schemes

:04:27.:04:29.

they are. Something on the Isle of Wight with cafe clinics. Surrey are

:04:30.:04:34.

doing something else, Hampshire something else. But they are all

:04:35.:04:38.

concentrating on keeping these older patients, often with difficult

:04:39.:04:45.

conditions, out of hospital, by not letting their conditions get the

:04:46.:04:47.

better of them. They do not want to see them going in with a blue light

:04:48.:04:52.

to the hospital. I have not got anywhere to go if there is not a

:04:53.:04:56.

care package for them, if they were to go home, so they are stuck in

:04:57.:05:00.

hospital. That is the other side of it. That the elephant in the room

:05:01.:05:05.

because although the NHS can perhaps control the number of patients going

:05:06.:05:08.

into hospital, they have less control about how many can go out,

:05:09.:05:11.

because that is down to social services, councils... And they have

:05:12.:05:16.

had their own financial problems. The big difficulty is elderly

:05:17.:05:18.

patients spent too long in hospital. It erodes their

:05:19.:05:22.

confidence. It could take months, perhaps, to go home.

:05:23.:05:27.

The remains of the helicopter which crashed into a pub in Glasgow

:05:28.:05:32.

killing nine people at the weekend has arrived in Farnborough. The

:05:33.:05:36.

wreckage maybe 420 mile journey on a low loader from Glasgow to the Air

:05:37.:05:40.

Accident Investigation Branch site at Farnborough Airport. Police have

:05:41.:05:44.

now identified all of those killed at the Clutha Vaults pub. An

:05:45.:05:48.

investigation is under way to determine the cause of the crash.

:05:49.:05:53.

Imagine how shocked you would be if you opened your post and discovered

:05:54.:05:56.

your house was going to be demolished to make way for a road.

:05:57.:06:00.

That is exactly what has happened to residents in the village of Fareham

:06:01.:06:05.

in Hampshire. `` in a village near Fareham. That the letter was issued

:06:06.:06:11.

to them by mistake. Fred Green could not believe what he

:06:12.:06:16.

was reading. A letter sent by the property company euro telling him he

:06:17.:06:21.

may lose his home. The company sent 150 letters to people in studying

:06:22.:06:26.

to, explaining they were surveying land for a new high pass. And their

:06:27.:06:33.

houses may be in the way. It was a real shock when I opened it on

:06:34.:06:38.

Friday morning. I could not believe it. A compulsory purchase order. It

:06:39.:06:44.

was frightening. Our first reaction was absolute shock and horror. We

:06:45.:06:52.

thought, oh my God. We know... Surely it has not got to this stage?

:06:53.:06:57.

This seems even more bizarre when you look at where the letters were

:06:58.:07:01.

delivered, most two homes along two roads in stepping to them, neither

:07:02.:07:05.

of which is in the path of the two possible routes for the bypass.

:07:06.:07:10.

Hampshire county council has apologised to those who got the

:07:11.:07:13.

letter. It says they should never have been sent. The letter they

:07:14.:07:19.

received, if I had received one I would have been horrified. Are you

:07:20.:07:24.

disappointed by the consultants? Are you angry? Most of those emotions

:07:25.:07:30.

and probably a fuel on the side went through my mind. Needless to say,

:07:31.:07:35.

the consultants are no longer involved with the project and will

:07:36.:07:40.

not be paid. Residents have assurance that no homes will be

:07:41.:07:45.

knocked down, but those I spoke to are still a little sceptical. I

:07:46.:07:50.

still find it unbelievable. Why would the council go to all this

:07:51.:07:53.

expensive they are not thinking about doing something? There is no

:07:54.:07:58.

smoke without fire. I do not think it has gone away or that it was a

:07:59.:08:03.

mistake. So some considerable work may be needed to restore its

:08:04.:08:07.

reputation. The council's hopes of easing pressure on this village

:08:08.:08:15.

backfiring with a damaging gaffe. Two men have died in a crash in

:08:16.:08:20.

Hampshire. They were travelling westbound on the Southwick Road when

:08:21.:08:23.

their grey Mitsubishi Lancer came off the road. The driver, a

:08:24.:08:25.

24`year`old man from Southampton, and his passenger, a 23`year`old

:08:26.:08:28.

from Botley, were pronounced dead at the scene.

:08:29.:08:34.

The Royal Navy's mine hunting ships now spend several years at a time of

:08:35.:08:38.

this is to cut down on the number of voyages they make to and from

:08:39.:08:42.

Portsmouth. The Navy says it into chips can spend much longer where

:08:43.:08:45.

they are needed. In the second of his special reports this week, our

:08:46.:08:50.

reporter has been looking at what life is like on these patrols for

:08:51.:08:57.

the Portsmouth`based crews. HMS Atherstone and her sister ships

:08:58.:09:01.

are in the front line of trying to ensure that explosive devices do not

:09:02.:09:04.

stop oil and gas tankers travelling up and down the Gulf. The Royal Navy

:09:05.:09:10.

now has four minehunters permanently based in Bahrain. Each of the ships

:09:11.:09:13.

will stay here for around three years. The cruise change every six

:09:14.:09:20.

months. It means the ships do not have to make the long round`trip to

:09:21.:09:24.

Portsmouth. It is not a short journey for us. It takes a number of

:09:25.:09:31.

weeks and involves quite a lot of stopovers on the way. So by basing

:09:32.:09:35.

them here, we are able to maintain that continuous presence out here in

:09:36.:09:38.

the Gulf and it is much better for the ships in the long run. The

:09:39.:09:45.

minehunters are 60 metres long and ten metres wide. 45 sailors live on

:09:46.:09:49.

board. So what do they think of the crew rotation system? For us it

:09:50.:09:55.

works quite well. You just come out and set up ready to go. But my

:09:56.:10:05.

family say, we cannot see you come back or leave. I miss coming back

:10:06.:10:10.

and seeing all the banners in Portsmouth. It works well. We

:10:11.:10:14.

maintain the high tempo out here because of that process. The

:10:15.:10:19.

minehunters are not alone in Bahrain. Their mother hen is the

:10:20.:10:24.

giant feet auxiliary ship Cardigan Bay, which boast a helicopter, and

:10:25.:10:30.

the current capacity of a cross`channel ferry. Our job is to

:10:31.:10:35.

make sure we have stalls, fuel, water and ammunition to keep them

:10:36.:10:41.

doing their job at sea. Along with the mine hunting squadron, the Navy

:10:42.:10:45.

has two other frigates and supply ships in the region at the moment.

:10:46.:10:50.

There is also a shoreside support system in Bahrain, supplying spare

:10:51.:10:55.

parts and engineering expertise. Our aim is to get the ships to see

:10:56.:11:01.

wherever possible `` as quickly as possible. The Navy is making a big

:11:02.:11:08.

commitment to the Gulf at the moment and Portsmouth`based minesweepers

:11:09.:11:10.

are making an important contribution.

:11:11.:11:17.

Police investigating a collision in Reading that left a police officer

:11:18.:11:20.

critically ill will stage a reconstruction of the events

:11:21.:11:24.

tonight. PC Gareth Browning suffered serious head injuries after being

:11:25.:11:27.

hit by a car he was trying to stop. Police believe the vehicle had been

:11:28.:11:32.

stolen from Sonning Common. Three people have been arrested, two on

:11:33.:11:37.

suspicion of attempted murder. Access to Lower Earley will be

:11:38.:11:41.

restricted from 8pm for the reconstruction.

:11:42.:11:49.

Plans to build homes on the former site of a school in Reading have

:11:50.:11:51.

been dismissed. There have been calls for Elvian School to be turned

:11:52.:11:58.

back into a school. The housing developer Taylor Wimpey has

:11:59.:12:01.

recommended that the majority of the site be used for educational

:12:02.:12:04.

purposes. Stay with us. Still to come:

:12:05.:12:10.

Fighting for his right to fight. The boxer who cannot get a license from

:12:11.:12:19.

the British authorities. Latest figures show that prices in

:12:20.:12:24.

the shops have continued to fall in the run`up to Christmas. But does

:12:25.:12:27.

that make things any easier for those on low incomes in the South?

:12:28.:12:31.

As the economy starts to recover and the Chancellor considers his plans

:12:32.:12:38.

for this week's Autumn statement, we report on the continuing gap in the

:12:39.:12:43.

cost of living. With three children under eight, it

:12:44.:12:46.

is a struggle to make ends meet. With other parents at this primary

:12:47.:12:55.

school, she was talking to Harriet Harman. We worked out it would cost

:12:56.:13:02.

?2000 a month for childcare. So for me to go back to where am I would

:13:03.:13:06.

have to be earning too much money that it is just not doable. Has

:13:07.:13:12.

prices are getting less and less affordable. Fuel prices are going

:13:13.:13:18.

up. Childcare costs are going up through the roof. It does not feel

:13:19.:13:23.

like a recovery for us. The Government should be addressing the

:13:24.:13:27.

cost of living crisis. The Government says there is room for

:13:28.:13:33.

manoeuvre. The Autumn statement should just be a pit stop. The road

:13:34.:13:38.

ahead set by the budget. It is just adding political fine`tuning. But

:13:39.:13:43.

the Chancellor has extra fuel in the tank this year because of the

:13:44.:13:47.

emerging economic recovery. Also in Reading, which she was one of the

:13:48.:13:50.

first to receive a Government new business loans for his online games

:13:51.:13:56.

comparison site. He said opportunities are opening up. ``

:13:57.:14:02.

Richard. It is known that your product is out there and it is

:14:03.:14:11.

working. And to employ more people. It is in high`tech areas like video

:14:12.:14:15.

games that the Government sees future jobs, but perhaps the

:14:16.:14:18.

clearest sign of confidence is the housing market. The boom in London

:14:19.:14:22.

is rippling out to the wider South East. There are concerns the

:14:23.:14:30.

Chancellor must... The concerns we are not building enough houses but

:14:31.:14:33.

until we can sort that out we do not want to building up the price,

:14:34.:14:38.

creating boom and bust. For Christmas shoppers on the high

:14:39.:14:41.

Street, like the Chancellor, this year is not a time to go overboard.

:14:42.:14:45.

The economy may be moving in the right direction but times are still

:14:46.:14:50.

tight. We will be looking towards Thursday

:14:51.:14:55.

because we will have full coverage of and reaction to the Chancellor's

:14:56.:15:00.

Autumn statement. That is on South Today on Thursday night.

:15:01.:15:06.

More than 90 firefighters spent the night tackling a severe fire at a

:15:07.:15:12.

thatched cottage in the new Forest. They were called to the large

:15:13.:15:15.

property in Brockenhurst soon after 7pm yesterday. Crews came from a

:15:16.:15:22.

dozen different fire stations. No one was injured.

:15:23.:15:27.

We all know that sleep is good for us, but could the pyjamas that we

:15:28.:15:32.

wear also be good for us? The student in the South has developed

:15:33.:15:35.

night`time clothing which it is thought can help to fight off this,

:15:36.:15:41.

the deadly MRSA infection. It is all based on the medicinal qualities of

:15:42.:15:45.

copper. We have been finding out more.

:15:46.:15:50.

The antimicrobial properties of copper have been known for millennia

:15:51.:15:56.

but Hippocrates never dreamt of copper pyjamas as a measure of

:15:57.:16:01.

infection control. That was And the's idea. She is a forensic

:16:02.:16:04.

psychology student at Portsmouth University. `` Amber. On my fabric

:16:05.:16:17.

compared to an NHS gallon there was zero growth of MRSA. `` NHS

:16:18.:16:24.

nightgown. The properties of copper are being researched at the

:16:25.:16:29.

University of Southampton. They know that dogs die on contact with copper

:16:30.:16:36.

alloys. The books on the left`hand picture here were stained green.

:16:37.:16:41.

They were destroyed in five minutes on copper. It stops bacteria respire

:16:42.:16:48.

in. It can punch holes in their membranes so like a balloon they

:16:49.:16:54.

start to leak and sometimes explode. It destroys their DNA. It is

:16:55.:16:57.

fantastic news because that means there is no chance of mutation.

:16:58.:17:06.

Template to's fabric is patented but she did `` Amber's fabric. She did

:17:07.:17:13.

her own critical trials but was able to put her tests into practice when

:17:14.:17:18.

her friend had a Caesarean and became infected with MRSA. She

:17:19.:17:24.

claims the pyjamas helped to save her life after powerful drugs failed

:17:25.:17:31.

to bring the infection under control. With the pyjamas, it cut

:17:32.:17:38.

the recovery time. I was better by Christmas. They saved my life. Bat

:17:39.:17:44.

at Amber's student house in Portsmouth, her friend models the

:17:45.:17:52.

design. They are very soft and comfortable. There have been

:17:53.:17:58.

hospital trials of hard copper surfaces before with varying

:17:59.:18:02.

results. Now there will be trials of Amber's fabric.

:18:03.:18:07.

If that is the answer, that would be amazing for people. Extraordinary.

:18:08.:18:13.

Let's move on to sport. Tony is here. We both art with boxing

:18:14.:18:18.

tonight. A fascinating story for a young man. Yes, a man that has had

:18:19.:18:23.

an up`and`down time in what could still be a very promising boxing

:18:24.:18:29.

career. The boxer whose biggest fight is with the boxing

:18:30.:18:32.

authorities. Iain Weaver was a talented amateur with more than 100

:18:33.:18:35.

fights under his belt. Iain Weaver was refused the right to fight

:18:36.:18:38.

professionally by the British board due to a type of cyst on his brain.

:18:39.:18:42.

The Ferndown boxer says several medical experts have declared him

:18:43.:18:46.

fit to fight. As I found out on a visit to his dad's gym, he's

:18:47.:18:49.

launched his professional career by fighting abroad.

:18:50.:18:55.

Pounding the punch bags at his father's gym in Ferndown is a

:18:56.:18:59.

regular part of training for Iain Weaver, that this is a boxer whose

:19:00.:19:02.

biggest fight is currently outside the ring. Over the past 18 months,

:19:03.:19:06.

his boxing ambitions have been dealt some major blows. I was four years

:19:07.:19:13.

on the Great Britain squad. But two Sheffield every week. Not to get to

:19:14.:19:17.

the Olympics was a big blow. So I decided to turn pro. I thought

:19:18.:19:24.

everything was going well, and then they found the cyst. It was in a

:19:25.:19:32.

routine scan. All boxers undergo MRA brain scans. But medical experts

:19:33.:19:37.

discovered the cyst on his scum, refusing to the `` leading to the

:19:38.:19:42.

refusal by the British boxing authorities to grant him a licence.

:19:43.:19:48.

We have had seven newer surgeons look at the scans, looking from the

:19:49.:19:55.

UK, Europe and America. The neurosurgeons that the boxing

:19:56.:20:03.

authorities use have said no. Seven newer surgeons cannot be wrong.

:20:04.:20:07.

There are other boxers with no cysts on their brains that have been

:20:08.:20:15.

granted licenses. `` with no cysts. But the board said last month...

:20:16.:20:24.

Their letter added that the board believed...

:20:25.:20:35.

Despite the British board's ruling, Iain has still be able to start his

:20:36.:20:44.

professional career, fighting with licenses granted by foreign boards.

:20:45.:20:47.

For example, he is fighting in Barcelona in December, sanctioned by

:20:48.:20:54.

the Spanish board. It will be in's fifth professional fight but his

:20:55.:20:57.

dream of competing for a British title is over for now. It is my

:20:58.:21:03.

life. I do not know anything else but boxing. From an early age I have

:21:04.:21:09.

been trying in three times a week. `` training three times a week. It

:21:10.:21:15.

is a big boxing family. Iain will go as far as he wants to go in life. He

:21:16.:21:21.

will definitely make it. Iain Weaver back in the ring in

:21:22.:21:27.

Spain on the 14th of December. It's a busy week of football on and

:21:28.:21:31.

off the field. Tomorrow night we'll be at St Mary's for Southampton

:21:32.:21:34.

against Aston Villa. Saints goalkeeper Artur Boruc is facing six

:21:35.:21:37.

weeks on the sidelines with a broken hand. Tonight Bournemouth and

:21:38.:21:40.

Reading are in action in the Championship. Reading, in sixth,

:21:41.:21:43.

host Charlton at the Madejski stadium. Tim Dellor's there now.

:21:44.:21:45.

Tim, the Royals will start favourites tonight, won't they? That

:21:46.:21:54.

is right. Reading unbeaten here at this stadium this season. And with

:21:55.:21:59.

the boosting win at Nottingham Forest on Friday under their belts,

:22:00.:22:03.

tonight sees the return of Simon Church, a striker who made more than

:22:04.:22:07.

100 appearances for Reading before moving to Charlton last summer.

:22:08.:22:10.

Reading start to write six in the table that we could see them right

:22:11.:22:16.

two places. A defeat and they could slip down two places. They beat

:22:17.:22:22.

Bournemouth here on Saturday. Chris Gunter for Reading is suspended

:22:23.:22:24.

following his Friday night sending off. Goalkeeper Alex McCarthy will

:22:25.:22:29.

want to celebrate his 24th birthday by keeping a clean sheet. The copper

:22:30.:22:34.

pyjamas will not be pleaded until later tonight workers the kick`off

:22:35.:22:40.

is not until 8pm. I wonder what Chris Temple is

:22:41.:22:42.

wearing. Bournemouth have a reunion tonight

:22:43.:22:45.

in West London, as they travel to Loftus Road to face Queens Park

:22:46.:22:51.

Rangers. Can Eddie Howe get the better of fellow Dorset resident

:22:52.:22:58.

Harry Redknapp? He became manager in 1983. The Cherries will take heart

:22:59.:23:10.

from Saturday's draw. Their winless sequence is six matches. QPR who

:23:11.:23:16.

they are playing tonight lost at Doncaster at the weekend. The top

:23:17.:23:21.

scorer for the Cherries is fit again after illness. Income Andrew Surman,

:23:22.:23:29.

Sean but Donnell and one other player. Kick`off at 7:45pm.

:23:30.:23:36.

You can follow of those games on BBC local radio tonight. We will have

:23:37.:23:38.

the goals tomorrow. SWINDON Meanwhile, Swindon Town are under

:23:39.:23:43.

new ownership again tonight. A company led by director Lee Power

:23:44.:23:46.

has taken over from Jed McCrory's consortium.

:23:47.:23:49.

Oxford manager Chris Wilder has been given permission to speak to

:23:50.:23:51.

Portsmouth about succeeding Guy Whittingham. He joins a list of

:23:52.:23:54.

candidates which also include Steve Claridge. Claridge himself is on the

:23:55.:23:57.

short list. Chris Wilder has taken Oxford to the top of League Two. The

:23:58.:24:02.

club said they did not want to lose him but didn't want to prevent him

:24:03.:24:05.

from talking to Pompey. Claridge had a spell as player`manager at the

:24:06.:24:09.

turn of the century and is keen for another front line role in football.

:24:10.:24:16.

I can remember that. That would equate a return, if Steve Claridge

:24:17.:24:21.

's... What is the time frame? Probably later this week. There

:24:22.:24:27.

might be one surprise name to come, so who knows. We will bring you the

:24:28.:24:36.

news as soon as we get it. We will talk about Tim Dellor again in a

:24:37.:24:41.

minute. Let's get on to the weather. He said there would be a cold snap

:24:42.:24:46.

coming on. Yes, Thursday night into Friday, where temperatures will

:24:47.:24:50.

really struggle in the daytime. Unfortunately a lot of clout about

:24:51.:24:53.

at the moment. A splash of colour on a grey day. This Mandarin duck was

:24:54.:24:57.

captured on Sherborne St John pond in Hampshire by Roy Venkatesh.

:24:58.:25:00.

Another colourful picture sent in by George Andrews in West Wittering.

:25:01.:25:04.

And a chilly but dry scene at the Madjeski Stadium captured by Radio

:25:05.:25:05.

Berkshire's commentator Tim Dellor. Temperatures will be around five or

:25:06.:25:18.

six Celsius for kick`off at 8pm. Through the course of tonight, a

:25:19.:25:23.

cloudy scene. Mainly dry. Through the early hours of the morning the

:25:24.:25:27.

cloud will increase further. Maybe patchy fog. With increasing wind we

:25:28.:25:32.

are expecting the rain to edge into northernmost fringes through the

:25:33.:25:33.

early hours of the morning, temperatures falling to two to four

:25:34.:25:38.

Celsius. A less cold night than last night. The rain will sink its way

:25:39.:25:44.

southwards. Clearing the northernmost areas around lunchtime

:25:45.:25:47.

onwards. We will start to see the sunshine finally making an

:25:48.:25:52.

appearance. Cloud lingering for the South coast until mid`afternoon,

:25:53.:25:55.

with temperatures reaching around six or seven Celsius. Perhaps on the

:25:56.:25:58.

Isle of Wight up to about 10 degrees. The wind will increase in

:25:59.:26:02.

strength from the North. That will be a key feature into Thursday

:26:03.:26:07.

daytime. Tomorrow night, clear skies and treat averages, perhaps a touch

:26:08.:26:10.

of frost in sheltered spot in the countryside. Through the early hours

:26:11.:26:20.

of Thursday morning, those of around freezing or just above. Maybe a

:26:21.:26:23.

frosty start on Thursday. A dry start for some with sunny spells.

:26:24.:26:30.

The isobars start to increase, so that means the wind will increase. A

:26:31.:26:34.

weather front pushing its way southwards. It is a cold front so

:26:35.:26:39.

behind it the air will be a lot colder. Straight from the Arctic.

:26:40.:26:43.

This the right in the early hours of Friday morning. Sunny conditions for

:26:44.:26:49.

northernmost areas on Friday. The best of any sunshine there. Windy on

:26:50.:26:56.

Thursday, perhaps gale force in northern parts of the region. And

:26:57.:27:00.

then a cold day on Friday, temperatures struggling to rise in

:27:01.:27:04.

the daytime. A lot of cloud to start the day tomorrow. The rain will

:27:05.:27:07.

clear swiftly during the morning time, following sunshine for

:27:08.:27:11.

northernmost areas. The wind will increase on Thursday but we will see

:27:12.:27:15.

some sunshine through the morning and early afternoon. A cold day on

:27:16.:27:18.

Friday with northerly wind straight from the Arctic but turning slightly

:27:19.:27:22.

moulder for the weekend, but we hold onto the cloud.

:27:23.:27:28.

We spotted, top right`hand corner, a bit of sleep also? Yes, not for us.

:27:29.:27:40.

For Scotland. More at 8pm and 10:25pm. We are back tomorrow at

:27:41.:27:42.

6:30pm. Good night.
