Hello. Welcome to Saturday. Internat's programme: Help find our

:00:07.:00:13.

mum's killer. The children of a murder victim make a public appeal.

:00:14.:00:18.

It's devastating for the family. It comes as a complete shock. We would

:00:19.:00:22.

appeal to anyone who has information about this matter, no matter how

:00:23.:00:29.

trivial, to help the scabs them. More storms hit the south.

:00:30.:00:34.

Forecasters warned there is more to come this weekend.

:00:35.:00:38.

Youth style justice, the new court due to be trialled in south. And the

:00:39.:00:45.

football fanatic preparing to leave his home from home dugout forever.

:00:46.:00:49.

Gut`wrenching. If I thought we could take any of it with us, we would.

:00:50.:01:08.

The son of an artist murdered in the seaside village in West Sussex has

:01:09.:01:14.

made an emotional appeal for help in finding the killer. 55`year`old

:01:15.:01:17.

Valerie Graves was bludgeoned to death between Christmas and New Year

:01:18.:01:21.

while house sitting. Forensic experts are still at the scene and

:01:22.:01:26.

police divers have been searching of `` surrounding area.

:01:27.:01:31.

They've been here four days, working in the most challenging of

:01:32.:01:34.

conditions. Much of the area around this million pounds home is

:01:35.:01:38.

flooded. Still, the search for evidence goes on. Valerie Graves's

:01:39.:01:45.

family described her as a much loved free spirit, a talented artist who

:01:46.:01:50.

would be sorely missed. Her daughter and son told a news conference she

:01:51.:01:54.

had recently returned from Scotland. She had moved back to Sussex to look

:01:55.:01:59.

after her mum. Family was important to her. We have been lucky to spend

:02:00.:02:05.

time with her over Christmas. She had a lovely time with her family,

:02:06.:02:09.

including grandchildren. She had been looking forward to seeing her

:02:10.:02:15.

granddaughter, and was interested in our ambitions. This has been a

:02:16.:02:19.

devastating... This is devastating for the family, and has come as a

:02:20.:02:24.

complete shock. We would appeal to anyone who has information about

:02:25.:02:28.

this matter, no matter how trivial, to contact the police. It was a

:02:29.:02:36.

family Christmas. Members of family from various places had come

:02:37.:02:39.

together at the house they were house sitting at to spend Christmas

:02:40.:02:45.

together. We now know that Valerie Graves went to bed here are 10pm on

:02:46.:02:52.

Sunday evening. Her elderly mother, sister and sister's partner also

:02:53.:02:58.

adhered to. Just 12 hours later, they went in to Valerie's room and

:02:59.:03:02.

found her dead. She had terrible injuries to her face and head. We

:03:03.:03:07.

would be interested to hear from anyone who knows someone who may

:03:08.:03:10.

have come home with different clothes on with bloodstained

:03:11.:03:16.

clothes, or is anyone was asked to wash clothing in unusual

:03:17.:03:18.

circumstances or to dispose of clothing. While the detectives build

:03:19.:03:23.

up a full picture of Valerie Graves' life, police are looking

:03:24.:03:27.

into the possibility a stranger may have broken in. All that Valerie may

:03:28.:03:31.

have known all killer, or known in the past. Police expect to be here

:03:32.:03:38.

for at least another week. Heavy rain and striving wins have

:03:39.:03:42.

brought more flooding to the south and cause traffic problems

:03:43.:03:45.

throughout the region. Strong winds and crashing waves battered Meon

:03:46.:03:50.

Shore around lunchtime. Diane Barnstable caught the choppy waters

:03:51.:03:58.

around the pier. People went for unusual methods of transport. Barry

:03:59.:04:04.

Colgate sent in this picture of Bosham Quay. The River Itchen burst

:04:05.:04:14.

its banks. Tony stayed dry while catching the waves at Titchfield

:04:15.:04:17.

Haven. Thank you for those pictures that you sent in. Residents of

:04:18.:04:24.

Ivybridge home Park were moved from their homes and haven't been allowed

:04:25.:04:30.

back. New Year, same old problem. The 80

:04:31.:04:34.

residents of Ivybridge home Park have been forced out by the swollen

:04:35.:04:40.

River Stour, the second time in nine days. Luckily my photographs are OK.

:04:41.:04:52.

The demo won't make them too bad. The floor is flooded. Absolutely

:04:53.:04:59.

smelly and horrible. Yesterday's evacuation went smoothly, thanks to

:05:00.:05:04.

lessons learned from Christmas Day. People here were ready to evacuate

:05:05.:05:09.

on Christmas Eve at 9am. We were told, no, not a requirement. Then

:05:10.:05:16.

many of them were told at 4am, not on the door by the fire rescue

:05:17.:05:20.

service in a boat saying that we had to evacuate. That should never

:05:21.:05:22.

happen. Things have been more efficient this time. Some big

:05:23.:05:26.

questions in the long term about the decision`making. Some residents

:05:27.:05:29.

stayed in the neighbouring church hall last night. Now six households

:05:30.:05:36.

are living in hotels paid for by the council. Others rely on friends and

:05:37.:05:40.

family. The latest advice is not a until at least Sunday. But with more

:05:41.:05:45.

weather forecast of the weekend, it could be later than that. It's going

:05:46.:05:51.

to take a while. A lot of drying out has been done since Christmas Day,

:05:52.:05:57.

but of course it's back in again, so for a lot, it will be starting from

:05:58.:06:05.

scratch again. Along the coast, parts of Hampshire West Sussex felt

:06:06.:06:12.

the force of the flights. Mopping up in work this afternoon.

:06:13.:06:19.

It has flooded here before. Sally and her husband Peter have been up

:06:20.:06:22.

12 hours earlier in the middle of the night and managed to keep the

:06:23.:06:26.

water out with the help of family and friends who offered to lend a

:06:27.:06:30.

hand. But the next high tide at lunchtime saw their barriers

:06:31.:06:33.

breached and the water pouring. We didn't expect it. We knew what time

:06:34.:06:37.

the tide was coming in, so we were ready, but we were still busy

:06:38.:06:43.

setting everything up. It was very quick how it came in. We were still

:06:44.:06:50.

setting everything up, and suddenly it came through. Thankfully, the

:06:51.:06:53.

damage was mostly confined to the restaurant area, and the pup has

:06:54.:07:03.

remained open. `` Pablo. The water comes pouring in here, so what were

:07:04.:07:07.

trying to do is prevent it coming in. It's not going to stop it, but

:07:08.:07:11.

it will slow it down. Along the coast in Portsmouth, the council

:07:12.:07:18.

said at the city's flood barriers, shutting off smaller areas. High

:07:19.:07:22.

tide passed at noon with the defence is holding firm. But these aerial

:07:23.:07:27.

pictures show the extent of floodwaters at lunchtime's high

:07:28.:07:32.

tide. Near Guildford, motorists tried to navigate flooded roads

:07:33.:07:37.

without being marooned. The scene is set to be repeated this weekend.

:07:38.:07:43.

Sarah Farmer will be here later in the programme with a full four coast

:07:44.:07:50.

`` forecast. A man has appeared in court charged with murdering his

:07:51.:07:53.

identical twin brother who died after a fight on New Year's Eve in

:07:54.:07:57.

Hampshire. Christopher Cerqua suffered serious injuries in the

:07:58.:08:03.

incident at his house. His twin brother Robert Secker will appear at

:08:04.:08:06.

Winchester Crown Court on Monday. A second person has died following a

:08:07.:08:12.

car crash on the Isle of Wight yesterday.

:08:13.:08:13.

Kiri`Jade Hodgkinson was pronounced dead at the scene. 67`year`old

:08:14.:08:19.

Barbara Ford was taken to Saint Mary 's hospital and has since died from

:08:20.:08:22.

her injuries. Two others involved remain in a serious condition.

:08:23.:08:27.

His wife died seven weeks before they owed an anniversary. Eric

:08:28.:08:34.

Clifton had arranged a party at a hotel, buddy lost his ?700 he paid

:08:35.:08:40.

in advance. The hotel owners said they did not notice `` know why the

:08:41.:08:48.

party was cancelled. But there was a happy ending.

:08:49.:08:52.

Eric Clifton and his wife Joyce had been married for 49 years and ten

:08:53.:08:56.

months when she died. She got to lots of cancer. Too much for her.

:08:57.:09:08.

And she just wasted away at that point. They had booked the list is

:09:09.:09:15.

hotel for a Golden anniversary `` golden anniversary party. When Joyce

:09:16.:09:18.

passed away several weeks earlier, the party was cancelled with no

:09:19.:09:23.

refund. Joyce and I had been there on Aaron, and always had good

:09:24.:09:31.

service. Lovely. We said, yeah, let's go there. It's the only place

:09:32.:09:35.

we considered for our golden wedding anniversary. Lysses House encourage

:09:36.:09:41.

the Clifton is to take out insurance in case they had to cancel,

:09:42.:09:45.

explaining that the deposits were non`refundable. That is common

:09:46.:09:51.

practice in the hotel industry. We have, over the century, had

:09:52.:09:56.

exceptional circumstances where we have made repayments in exceptional

:09:57.:10:02.

circumstances. Do you think Mr Clifton's circumstance is

:10:03.:10:08.

exceptional? I do now. Mr Mercer did not know why he had to cancel, and

:10:09.:10:12.

assume that since he had not been in touch, he accepted the conditions.

:10:13.:10:17.

They have now met and a refund has been agreed, and a hotel staff also

:10:18.:10:21.

want to make a donation to the cancer charity Myeloma UK in memory

:10:22.:10:26.

of choice. It's a huge relief to both sides. Mr Clifton can return to

:10:27.:10:31.

his favourite hotel. Mrs house can welcome back a valued customer.

:10:32.:10:40.

Still to come, we showcase some of the very best weather pictures that

:10:41.:10:43.

you have taken and hear the stories of some of those behind the lens.

:10:44.:10:52.

Young offenders who commit crimes could be sentenced by other youths

:10:53.:10:56.

in a radical new scheme being piloted in Hampshire. Community

:10:57.:11:00.

courts will see young people act as prosecutors, defenders and jurors to

:11:01.:11:04.

sanction those who admit to low`level offences. It's the first

:11:05.:11:07.

time a scan of this kind has been trialled in the UK. The hope is that

:11:08.:11:13.

using positive peer pressure will help reduce youth offending rates.

:11:14.:11:16.

Our home affairs correspondent reports.

:11:17.:11:20.

The next case is a matter of criminal damage. It looks and sounds

:11:21.:11:24.

like a criminal court, but there's a difference. This is a community

:11:25.:11:28.

courts, where young people decide suitable sanctions for the young

:11:29.:11:32.

peers who have committed crimes. This is only a dramatisation, but

:11:33.:11:36.

from April, during site this will take place in Hampshire. It's not a

:11:37.:11:43.

court of law in the same way that a magistrate's courtiers. It's

:11:44.:11:45.

reversing, to a degree, the peer pressure that is often causing

:11:46.:11:51.

people to commit crime. Rather than having a young person tell someone

:11:52.:11:56.

to commit crime, they will say, you shouldn't have done that. The

:11:57.:12:01.

genetic will only deal with low`level offences, such as those

:12:02.:12:05.

eligible for the police warnings or a caution, such as setting fire to a

:12:06.:12:10.

bean. It won't determine guilt. The offender must have accepted

:12:11.:12:12.

responsibility for their actions and be willing to take part. The victim

:12:13.:12:16.

can choose to be present to explain the impact of the crime. It won't

:12:17.:12:19.

determine guilt. The offender must have accepted responsibility for

:12:20.:12:21.

their actions and be willing to take part. The victim can choose to be

:12:22.:12:24.

present to explain the impact of the crime. It's or ask the offender to

:12:25.:12:31.

carry out work in the community. The scheme will be supervised by

:12:32.:12:34.

Hampshire Police. We don't want people to think this is an easy

:12:35.:12:40.

ride. If you've done wrong, you will be more accountable to your peers.

:12:41.:12:46.

The difference is that we will have your case heard, but your sentence

:12:47.:12:54.

will be about rehabilitation and repairing relationships between the

:12:55.:12:59.

community and victims. This open day was the young people interested in

:13:00.:13:02.

taking part in the community court project. They have to apply to be a

:13:03.:13:06.

juror or advocates, and undergo full training. For the young offenders,

:13:07.:13:11.

it is have someone of their age help them or advise them or give them

:13:12.:13:16.

support, I think it's good for them. It might make them see sense. They

:13:17.:13:21.

could understand their problems. Such as peer pressure. I think it's

:13:22.:13:29.

quite nice, because we will be around the same age, so trying to

:13:30.:13:32.

talk to them and know what they are going through. There are some with

:13:33.:13:37.

reservations. Solicitor Emma Smith works with young offenders. People

:13:38.:13:42.

who may appear on the panel may have no idea what it is like to come from

:13:43.:13:47.

a family where a mother or father is an alcoholic or drug dependent. It

:13:48.:13:53.

may work, but I have reservations that they might see the people who

:13:54.:13:57.

are judging them as having very different backgrounds to where they

:13:58.:14:05.

came from. We the jury, find you should be given a community

:14:06.:14:10.

resolution. They could be a requirement to several years jury in

:14:11.:14:14.

future. Eventually they will become part of efforts to tackle youth

:14:15.:14:18.

crime. Whether this pioneering project helps reduce reoffending

:14:19.:14:21.

will determine if it's rolled out past its three`year pilot.

:14:22.:14:30.

Onto sport, and it's FA Cup third`round weekend as the Premier

:14:31.:14:32.

League and Championship sides enter the competition. On the eve of

:14:33.:14:35.

Reading's tie at Brighton, though, the club's ownership is back in the

:14:36.:14:39.

news. This is going to be one of the key

:14:40.:14:42.

developing stories of the month ahead. We told you before Christmas

:14:43.:14:45.

that Reading were talking to investors about a possible takeover.

:14:46.:14:48.

Tonight, the club is expecting a renewed bid from an American

:14:49.:14:51.

consortium who have been talking to them since the autumn. With Anton

:14:52.:14:54.

Zingarevich seemingly on the way out at the Madejski stadium, remember he

:14:55.:14:58.

hasn't been to a game at the ground since September. Reading have been

:14:59.:15:01.

searching for a solution. With key decisions to be made during January

:15:02.:15:04.

about players in and players out, time is of the essence. I'm told the

:15:05.:15:09.

Americans are in pole position. Reading are just one of our region's

:15:10.:15:13.

clubs involved in the third round of the FA Cup this weekend. They travel

:15:14.:15:17.

to Brighton tomorrow with boss Nigel Adkins, now one of the bookies'

:15:18.:15:20.

favourites for the West Brom job, hoping for a Cup run.

:15:21.:15:25.

You always want to do well in the FA Cup. We've got Brighton away, a

:15:26.:15:30.

quick turnaround. But I want us to have a good run. We want to have the

:15:31.:15:34.

strongest possible team up that we can do. Obviously the injuries and

:15:35.:15:36.

suspensions we've already alluded to. I'm not one to use them as

:15:37.:15:40.

excuses. Don't like excuses. But there are reasons and factors for

:15:41.:15:42.

thing. Southampton have refused to accept a

:15:43.:15:45.

decision by the Premier League's refereeing body not to investigate

:15:46.:15:48.

further comments made by Mark Clattenburg in an incident involving

:15:49.:15:52.

Adam Lallana last week. Saints' initial complaint was thrown out by

:15:53.:15:55.

the referees body, who considered the matter over. But Saints hit back

:15:56.:15:59.

this afternoon, claiming that Clattenburg's comments ` he's

:16:00.:16:02.

alleged to have said, "You're very different now you have played for

:16:03.:16:05.

England, you never used to be like this" ` merited further

:16:06.:16:09.

investigation. They've restated their desire for Clattenburg not to

:16:10.:16:11.

officiate any of their upcoming games.

:16:12.:16:16.

Meanwhile, Saints host Burnley in the FA Cup tomorrow. If selected,

:16:17.:16:19.

Saints striker Jay Rodriguez will be facing his former club. Rodriguez

:16:20.:16:23.

was born and bred in the Lancashire town, making his steps as a

:16:24.:16:26.

footballer in the north`west. Tomorrow, he faces the club who sold

:16:27.:16:32.

him to Saints for ?7 million. It would be a great feeling. It's an

:16:33.:16:36.

occasion to look forward to. Obviously I'm still a professional,

:16:37.:16:40.

and I have to perform for the team, which is Southampton. I've got to do

:16:41.:16:47.

my best and work hard to improve for myself and for my teamates.

:16:48.:16:52.

And the full interview with Jay Rodriguez can be seen on Football

:16:53.:16:56.

Focus tomorrow at 12:00pm on BBC One. One player not involved

:16:57.:16:59.

tomorrow is Dani Osvaldo. He's received a three`game ban today for

:17:00.:17:03.

his part in a scuffle in the dugout at Newcastle last month.

:17:04.:17:08.

30 years ago, Bournemouth pulled off one of the great FA Cup upsets when

:17:09.:17:12.

they beat Manchester United at Dean Court. Tomorrow, they host Burton

:17:13.:17:16.

Albion of League Two. Manager Eddie Howe is likely to make some changes,

:17:17.:17:20.

including a return in goal for Ryan Allsop.

:17:21.:17:23.

Elsewhere, MK Dons are at the holders, Wigan. Oxford's tie at

:17:24.:17:30.

Charlton will now be played next Wednesday due to a waterlogged pitch

:17:31.:17:33.

at the Valley. Portsmouth's league match with Accrington has also been

:17:34.:17:39.

postponed. Michael Carberry's England career is

:17:40.:17:42.

hanging by a thread after the Hampshire batsman failed to score on

:17:43.:17:46.

day one of the fifth test in Sydney. It's thought Carberry needs to

:17:47.:17:49.

finish the tour well, but was dismissed for a duck early in

:17:50.:17:52.

England's reply to Australia's first innings of 326 all out at the SCG.

:17:53.:17:55.

The 33`year`old has averaged 30 during the series, but England may

:17:56.:17:58.

turn to younger talent this summer if Carberry doesn't register a high

:17:59.:18:07.

score. With the arrival of the New Year,

:18:08.:18:10.

some people's thoughts turn to moving home. There's one particular

:18:11.:18:13.

house at Palestine near Andover which might catch the eye of

:18:14.:18:16.

Southampton football fans. The ?695,000 four`bed house looks

:18:17.:18:20.

like any normal home when you walk into the hallway ` but down in the

:18:21.:18:23.

basement, there's a surprise in store, as Sean Killick has been

:18:24.:18:28.

finding out. That second innings important In estate agent speak,

:18:29.:18:32.

it's an ideal family home in the countryside just over an hour's

:18:33.:18:34.

commute from London. But this 4`bed detached house has

:18:35.:18:37.

unique features, as owner Richard showed me. Down in the basement,

:18:38.:18:41.

there is a sizeable piece of football history, the dugout from

:18:42.:18:43.

Southampton's old football ground, the Dell. It's five metres wide, and

:18:44.:18:48.

the basement of the self`build home was redesigned to accommodate it.

:18:49.:18:51.

Lifelong Saints fan Richard bought it in 2001, when items from the

:18:52.:18:54.

ground were being auctioned off after the final game there. Richard

:18:55.:19:02.

was building his house at the time and decided the dugout would make a

:19:03.:19:06.

winning feature for his underground sports room. For ?240, it was his.

:19:07.:19:11.

Since then, he and his family have watched hundreds of matches in it on

:19:12.:19:15.

TV, sitting in a dugout used by some of the greatest managers in English

:19:16.:19:19.

football. It still gives me goose bumps to

:19:20.:19:22.

actually include names like our current England manager, Roy

:19:23.:19:29.

Hodgson, Blackburn in '98. Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Bobby Robson.

:19:30.:19:33.

It's a who's who of English football, isn't it?

:19:34.:19:36.

Yeah. Kevin Keegan, Brian Robinson. Glenn Hoddle, Terry Venables. The

:19:37.:19:43.

list is endless. As well as the dugout, the other

:19:44.:19:46.

star attraction is this turnstile, which dates back to 1898. It's

:19:47.:19:50.

amazing to think how many people must have walked through this on

:19:51.:19:53.

their way into the Dell. There's plenty of other memorabilia in this

:19:54.:19:56.

basement shrine to the Saints, which was given an official opening by

:19:57.:19:59.

club legend Lawrie McMenemy. One of the rooms has been named in his

:20:00.:20:07.

honour. But Richard and his wife, Jean, are downsizing, and prepared

:20:08.:20:09.

to sell the collection with the house, separately.

:20:10.:20:15.

Gut`renching. If I thought we could take any of it with us, we would. I

:20:16.:20:19.

don't know what Lawrie would think of it, especially his suite.

:20:20.:20:23.

When the final whistle blows, this is one loss Richard will find

particularly hard to take. Every night on South Today, we offer

:20:40.:20:43.

you the chance to show off your fabulous weather pictures. Hundreds

:20:44.:20:46.

of you get out ` in all weathers ` across the south every day, and send

:20:47.:20:50.

us your view of the region. We can only show a few on the

:20:51.:20:54.

programme each night, but our Facebook page has become home to

:20:55.:20:57.

many of the pictures you send us. Alexis Green has been taking a look

:20:58.:21:01.

back at some of the best photos you sent in 2013, and has been to hear

:21:02.:21:05.

the stories of some of those behind the lens.

:21:06.:21:07.

Weather`wise, 2013 gave us everything from frost and snow to

:21:08.:21:11.

the blue skies of summer. And through the year, you've sent us

:21:12.:21:14.

your pictures taken around the region. We show some of them on the

:21:15.:21:20.

programme, and post more on Facebook as often as we can. One of our

:21:21.:21:24.

regular contributors, Raymond, took this picture of Salisbury Cathedral

:21:25.:21:31.

back in September. But I went to meet him at another of his favourite

:21:32.:21:34.

locations in Guildford. I do like historic Guildford in

:21:35.:21:39.

itself. I think we are blessed in this area because of the history of

:21:40.:21:44.

the castle going back to about 1086. I think it's a fitting composition.

:21:45.:21:49.

You've got a massive selection of photos that you sent in. Tell me

:21:50.:21:52.

about this one. I think that was a pretty cold day

:21:53.:21:56.

when I took that. This is down by the River Way. A lot of people feed

:21:57.:22:00.

their pigeons. I'm learning all the time. I learn from photography

:22:01.:22:03.

magazines, the Internet, YouTube, and when I'm out and about, I always

:22:04.:22:06.

come across professional photographers who are willing to

:22:07.:22:12.

give advice. Lynn Roger's husband, Graham, was

:22:13.:22:14.

another keen photographer who enjoyed sharing his pictures with

:22:15.:22:22.

South Today. This lifeboat station is a special

:22:23.:22:27.

place for both of us. It was his favourite place. Graham was

:22:28.:22:30.

passionate about photography. He really loved it and he was

:22:31.:22:34.

especially proud to see it used on the television. Just before he

:22:35.:22:37.

passed away, it was the lifeboat station that was his favourite photo

:22:38.:22:41.

that he sent in to South Today, and to see it there really lifted his

:22:42.:22:45.

spirits. He wanted to go out and take more photos, which made the

:22:46.:22:50.

last few days really happy for him. Over the water in Gosport, Maureen

:22:51.:22:54.

Coles has a room with a view. This is the view. Look at that!

:22:55.:23:00.

Portsmouth Harbour. It's incredible. As day turns to night, the picture

:23:01.:23:05.

changes dramatically. About ten minutes later, the clouds

:23:06.:23:09.

came over the moon and I would never have got the chance again. I'm here

:23:10.:23:13.

at all times of day, so I can get the views first thing in the

:23:14.:23:16.

morning. The afternoon is wonderful because of the light. I like to try

:23:17.:23:21.

to catch the light on the buildings, if I can. I absolutely love sending

:23:22.:23:26.

my photos in. It's so exciting to spot something, and you think, "That

:23:27.:23:31.

would be brilliant to send in". You send them off and wait for them to

:23:32.:23:35.

appear, and of course you get all the people who are the Facebook

:23:36.:23:38.

followers, and it's wonderful when you get a good response to your

:23:39.:23:45.

picture. Here are some more of your photos

:23:46.:23:47.

from 2013. Lovely pictures.

:23:48.:24:29.

Thank you to everyone who sent us a picture last year. Sorry we can't

:24:30.:24:32.

name you all. Please keep them coming this year. Our email address

:24:33.:24:36.

is [email protected]. And there are more pictures on our Facebook

:24:37.:24:45.

page, BBC South Today. Beautiful pictures. We've had some lovely

:24:46.:24:51.

ones, despite the weather. We've shown a few storm winds, but we've

:24:52.:24:57.

had a mixed bag today. We had a few hailstorms.

:24:58.:24:59.

Take a look at these hailstones collected by Henny Grant. The peas

:25:00.:25:03.

give you an idea of how big they were when they came down just north

:25:04.:25:06.

of Hungerford. Incredibly big waves at Stokes Bay `

two walkers there about to get a soaking by the looks of it. Thank

:25:10.:25:13.

you to Roger Forster for braving the storm.

:25:14.:25:15.

But it wasn't all thunder and lightning ` Sandy Burnfield captured

:25:16.:25:18.

this beautiful sunset over the River Test at Longstock in Hampshire. We

:25:19.:25:24.

have some more of those scattered showers to come over the next few

:25:25.:25:29.

hours. Plenty of weather warnings through the weekend. One or two

:25:30.:25:33.

downpours this evening. More hail and blunder. They showers do is the

:25:34.:25:38.

first part of the night. The winds is down. We've seen the peak now,

:25:39.:25:43.

but we could see gusts up to 70 mph early this evening. Later tonight,

:25:44.:25:48.

we see another area of wet weather arriving. This could bring us some

:25:49.:25:55.

intense spells of rain, again some hail and rain too. Temperatures for

:25:56.:25:59.

all five degrees. A warnings about southeastern corner seeing up to 30

:26:00.:26:05.

millimetres of rain. That band of rain shifts quite nicely into the

:26:06.:26:10.

afternoon. Dry conditions, brighter paps as well if you are lucky. A

:26:11.:26:15.

glimmer or two of sun shines. Temperatures up to 10 degrees, and

:26:16.:26:19.

the wind is lighter than today. Tomorrow evening, more intense

:26:20.:26:24.

showers. Once again, maybe some rain or fund. For tomorrow night, this

:26:25.:26:28.

spells developing. Some patchy fog developing. Temperatures close to

:26:29.:26:34.

freezing. We could see Frost versus being Sunday morning. A risk of ice

:26:35.:26:40.

as well. This is the area of low pressure that is taking out whether

:26:41.:26:44.

through during the day on Sunday. Not quite as terrible as we first

:26:45.:26:47.

thought, but the find will still bring is substantial rain once again

:26:48.:26:52.

will stop we could see up to 30 millimetres in some localised spots,

:26:53.:26:55.

especially coastal counties like I'll `` Isle Of Wight. Wind is not

:26:56.:27:02.

quite as strong as today. Those still a gusty day. Warnings were

:27:03.:27:07.

both days this weekend. More intense spells of rain. As we start the new

:27:08.:27:12.

working week, scattered showers on the way, but easing down for

:27:13.:27:16.

Tuesday. Still plenty more weather to come, so disruption is possible.

:27:17.:27:25.

Localised flooding. Thank you so much. Take care of this

:27:26.:27:32.

weekend. For the latest on travel and traffic, listen to your local

:27:33.:27:35.

BBC Radio station. We'll be back with a bulletin at

:27:36.:27:40.

10:25pm. That's it from us this evening. Good night.
