It's being claimed tonight that a man who's thought to have died

in an explosion in Oxford had a history of mental illness and had

Human remains were found at the site yesterday.

The as-yet-unexplained blast caused a block of flats to collapse

in the Osney area of the city, and 40 homes were evacuated.

Sifting through the rubble, this grim, painstaking job may

reveal what caused the explosion that police believe killed this man

- 48-year-old Guido Schuette, a tenant in one of the flats.

The City Councillor for this part of Oxford said he had a background

of mental health issues and contact with authorities.

The police are very well aware of the person who it

seems has been killed, of the threats that he was making

before this, and of his medical history and so on.

So a lot of questions will need to be asked.

Thames Valley Police haven't responded to us today

Their crime scene investigators and detectives are likely to be

working behind these screens for some time.

And as the clean-up and demolition gets underway,

the housing association, which owns this site, is assessing

Three flats were destroyed, and it's likely another five

They must quickly try and see what stock they have available,

Those I spoke to today say this devastating blast has left

many very traumatised, but keen to move on.

There were emotional scenes at Heathrow Airport this weekend,

as the body of a Chichester man who died in Syria arrived home.

Kurdish mourners turned out to pay tribute to Ryan Lock,

who had travelled to Syria to fight against the so-called Islamic State.

He died in a battle in December while fighting with the Kurdish

It is believed he killed himself to avoid capture.

A woman has been charged with drink driving after her car crashed

into the River Medina in Newport on the Isle of Wight.

Lucy Wilton, from Northcliff Gardens, Shanklin, had to be rescued

from her Vauxhall Corsa car in the early hours

She is due to appear before island magistrates on March the 7th.

An elderly cyclist has died after colliding

The accident happened in the Cranmer Road car park

yesterday afternoon in the Winton area of the town.

It's believed the 79-year-old local cyclist suffered a serious head

injury when he hit a parked Mitsubushi car.

He was airlifted to hospital, but died of his injuries last night.

A charity single was launched this weekend to raise money

It's been written by the singer-songwriter Emma Buckley

in memory of her lost friend, a Dorset teenager

Very quiet, very loving, just a beautiful person.

Vinnie Appleby from Poole died from leukaemia last year.

He wasn't the person you'd find at the front or anything.

He'd always be in the background, making things happen.

But the nice thing is, since losing Vinnie,

all of his friends, people we don't even know, have come up to us

and told us how he's affected their lives.

Vinnie's family didn't want his memory to fade,

so this song was written in honour of him, to be sung at his funeral.

I wrote the song and sang it for the parents the night

I think the impact that it had was amazing.

This song is all about the troubles that you go through,

and how one day at a time really is how you have to live life.

And the power of that song was so strong, his family wanted it

to be released to help many other young men and women fighting cancer,

We want to raise as much money as we possibly can.

We've set ourselves a target, it's ?50,000 to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Even in his last few days, Vinnie was helping to raise funds

Well, some of us have seen some brightness today,

certainly not as much as we saw yesterday.

And we've still got some mist, some fog lingering

So the cloud is only going to thicken up.

We could even see the odd spot of light rain and drizzle.

These are the temperatures you'd expect by day,

And that sets us up for quite a grey start to tomorrow.

Some of the mist and fog will take its time to shift.

And the cloud will always be thick enough for a little bit

But particularly into the afternoon, perhaps the high ground is your best

It is going to be a mild day tomorrow, regardless

of if you see any brightness, temperatures up to 13,

Now, it does stay mild certainly for the first part of next week.

I think you can expect a lot of cloud through the middle part

of next week, with some patchy rain at times, and turning

on and on. It is because of the direction of the wind. Tomorrow's

temperatures might be higher than today by a couple of degrees. There

has been a lot of cloud. But we had some lovely pictures coming in. Some

sunshine, but predominantly the clouds have been -- the skies have

been cloudy. This will continue as well as a smattering of rain. For

all those reasons it isn't going to be a cold night. In fact a night's

temperatures will be higher than the daytime maximum averages for this
