The council freebie sending local people reeling. I think it is

:00:15.:00:20.

diabolical that that is happening when businesses -- businesses need

:00:20.:00:27.

their sip port. -- support. Good evening. Torbay Council has given

:00:27.:00:30.

1,300 staff free permits costing more than 500 each. Not everyone's

:00:30.:00:33.

happy. Also on Spotlight tonight: Part of River Cottage HQ razed to

:00:33.:00:35.

the ground. An investigation begins after Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's

:00:35.:00:38.

training kitchen is destroyed by fire. And leaping lizards! The

:00:38.:00:46.

excess holiday baggage washed up in Somerset. Torbay Council has issued

:00:46.:00:49.

1,300 free parking permits to its staff, whilst at the same time

:00:49.:00:51.

increasing parking charges for the public and installing more parking

:00:51.:00:54.

meters. In total, the permits are worth 600,000. One local resident

:00:54.:00:57.

is so angry he's reported the council to the taxman, claiming

:00:57.:01:00.

it's handing out an untaxed benefit in kind. Our South Devon reporter

:01:00.:01:10.
:01:10.:01:16.

John Ayres has more. Pull up in the town hall car park in Torquay and

:01:16.:01:22.

you will find of these. The permits have beenishured to 90% of the

:01:22.:01:28.

council staff. But p you or which wanted to buy one it could cost

:01:28.:01:32.

over 500 a year. Ba Barry made a freedom of information request and

:01:32.:01:37.

was so surprised he has made a complaint to the taxman. This was a

:01:37.:01:44.

perk which if the council workers are getting, then why shouldn't the

:01:44.:01:50.

other trades within Torbay get the, get a similar perk? Why should they

:01:50.:01:54.

have to pay to park in roads, sometimes quite horrendous prices

:01:54.:01:59.

and the prices are going up. some time small businesses in

:01:59.:02:07.

Paignton have been complaining about parking meters and charging.

:02:07.:02:16.

It is outrageous. It is a fantastic perk, I wish I could have a free

:02:16.:02:22.

park zone and give my staff a free parking voucher for year. It is

:02:22.:02:27.

typical. Councils are always saying how tight they are with money and

:02:27.:02:31.

how they spend it should be possibly reevalued. The permits are

:02:31.:02:35.

issued for business use only on work days and not to be used by

:02:35.:02:42.

anyone else sm it will be withdrawn if abused. But how do you police

:02:42.:02:47.

that? The council say it is talking with unions about introducing

:02:48.:02:52.

charges for parking. The council says there are term and conditions

:02:52.:02:56.

attached to the permits. Yes, office staff can apply for them.

:02:56.:03:00.

But they can't park in any car park at any time. And they can't apply

:03:00.:03:05.

for permits on behalf of friend and partners. Whether or not the per

:03:05.:03:14.

mifts are a taxable -- permits are taxable is not clear cut. That

:03:14.:03:20.

doesn't apiece local businesses who feel they're being penalised.

:03:20.:03:21.

Tonight the celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall still

:03:21.:03:24.

doesn't know part of his River Cottage headquarters has been

:03:24.:03:27.

destroyed by fire. Staff have tried to get hold of him, but he's

:03:27.:03:31.

filming in a such a remote part of the world he can't be contacted. An

:03:31.:03:33.

investigation's been launched into what caused the fire last night.

:03:33.:03:42.

Spotlight's Andrea Ormsby has the story. This is the full force of a

:03:42.:03:46.

fire that destroyed the event's barn at River Cottage near axe

:03:46.:03:51.

Minster. The footage was taken by a member of staff. The fire service

:03:51.:03:59.

real sized the two appliances it had sent wouldn't be enough. We're

:03:59.:04:04.

devastated. We saw it on fire, but looking at the state of it, it is

:04:04.:04:08.

incredible. Ewith are all shocked sm people are saddened. It is a

:04:08.:04:11.

beautiful building that has been lovingly restored and people

:04:11.:04:15.

working in there, people were in there yesterday doing what we do

:04:15.:04:19.

best and that is quite a sad morning. The nature of the billing

:04:19.:04:24.

made it difficult for firefighters. This part of the billing was used

:04:24.:04:31.

as a cookery school and there were 10 ovens, each with its own gas

:04:31.:04:40.

cylinder and each could explode. And it would have sent debris over

:04:40.:04:45.

a big area. Hugh Fearnley- Whittingstall is filming somewhere

:04:45.:04:49.

in the southern ocean. As yet he does not know whether has happened.

:04:49.:04:54.

We have sent him an e-mail. He is on a boat campaigning on the fish

:04:54.:04:58.

rights and doing filming. But we're not, exactly sure where he is. It

:04:58.:05:02.

may take system time for the message to get through. They don't

:05:02.:05:06.

know the cause of fire and investigators say they may have

:05:06.:05:09.

answers tomorrow. River Cottage hope to put up a temporary building

:05:09.:05:19.
:05:19.:05:25.

and have courses running again in a matter of days. The health

:05:25.:05:28.

regulator has raised significant concerns about care for some of the

:05:28.:05:31.

most vulnerable patients at two county hospitals in Devon. The Care

:05:31.:05:34.

Quality Commission identified Owen House - which is part of Langdon

:05:34.:05:37.

Hospital in Dawlish - and two wards at Whipton Hospital in Exeter as

:05:37.:05:39.

needing to make improvements. Both care for people with learning

:05:39.:05:42.

difficulties. Simon Hall joins us from the headquarters of the Devon

:05:42.:05:46.

Partnership NHS Trust. What are the concerns with Owen House? Well this

:05:46.:05:49.

is the major concern identified by the commission and it is about the

:05:49.:05:55.

care and welfare of patients. The report says poor care planning

:05:55.:06:01.

makes it impossible to ensure patient' -- patients' needs are

:06:01.:06:05.

being met and there is a concern about safeguarding patients from

:06:05.:06:12.

abuse and another about respecting their dignity. What about the units

:06:12.:06:16.

at whipton. Well the two wards that deal with people with learning

:06:16.:06:19.

difficulties, the commission identifies improvements needing to

:06:19.:06:24.

be made to ensure safe and appropriate care. Care plans are

:06:24.:06:29.

not adequately developed and more detailed assessments are required.

:06:29.:06:35.

The commission said both hospitals have work to do. Care wasn't

:06:35.:06:38.

person-centred, so it wasn't putting people at the heart of

:06:38.:06:42.

their plans. Really understanding what their goals were, where they

:06:42.:06:46.

wanted to go and how they were going to get there. And that is a

:06:46.:06:50.

condition certain. Because these are assessment and treatment

:06:50.:06:56.

facilities, where people hope the go on to more independent settings

:06:56.:07:01.

hopefully. What have the Trust said about this? Well no one from the

:07:02.:07:04.

Trust would be interviewed, but they have released a statement us

:07:04.:07:10.

to. It says this: We have made strides to provide safe and high

:07:10.:07:16.

quality care and in most cases we're confident we achieve that.

:07:16.:07:22.

But the saiment says: It is clear some aspect of care are not good

:07:22.:07:27.

enough and for that we apologise and making efforts to address any

:07:27.:07:31.

short comings. Thank you. In a separate health story today, Torbay

:07:31.:07:35.

Care Trust has been hailed as a good example of how to link up care

:07:35.:07:37.

services for elderly people. The praise came from Parliament's

:07:37.:07:40.

Health Select Committee. But the MPs said separate systems for

:07:40.:07:42.

health and social care are leading to poorer outcomes elsewhere. Our

:07:42.:07:51.

Political Editor Martyn Oates joins us now from Westminster. What is so

:07:51.:07:57.

special about Torbay? Well it is one of only a handful of places

:07:57.:08:02.

where the Primary Care Trusts that were set up to commission health

:08:02.:08:08.

care also control social care. The committee said bringing the two

:08:08.:08:12.

services make them more efficient and saifrs money. But it says the

:08:12.:08:17.

Government's plans to reforce the NHS won't do anything to simplify

:08:17.:08:24.

the way the services are delivered else where. One member is the St

:08:24.:08:29.

iefrs MP. What is happening is that happened in spite of the current

:08:29.:08:32.

structures. So we have worked well and the health reforms make the

:08:33.:08:37.

creation of a single commissioning body between health and social care

:08:37.:08:41.

more difficult, not more easy. The reforms not going to help the

:08:41.:08:44.

process of achieving the efficiencies which the Government

:08:44.:08:51.

want. One thing is clear, the kind of situation we have got at the

:08:51.:08:56.

moment in Torbay where a Primary Care Trust commissions social care

:08:56.:09:02.

won't be rolled out and won't eexist in Torbay, because the

:09:02.:09:06.

Government will abolish primary care trus. That is not the only

:09:06.:09:13.

change. As we speak Torbay council is debating how many millions to

:09:13.:09:19.

cut from its adult social care budget. We're concerned on the cuts.

:09:19.:09:24.

Of 11 that will happen, 4.1 will be affecting the most vulnerable

:09:24.:09:30.

people. People who are old e people with learning disabilities and

:09:30.:09:36.

mental health issues. The commit eee said funding issues were

:09:36.:09:43.

reducing the kault of O'O'reducing the quality of care and there will

:09:43.:09:49.

be more integration between health and social care. A Plymouth

:09:49.:09:52.

hospital has apologised to the family of a baby boy who received

:09:52.:09:54.

sub-standard care. Ethan Cross died in November 2009, two months after

:09:55.:09:57.

being born with some of his organs growing outside his body. The

:09:58.:10:00.

official cause of death was recorded as misadventure, but

:10:00.:10:02.

during his inquest a coroner found evidence of sub-standard care.

:10:02.:10:05.

Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust says it's made robust changes to its

:10:05.:10:07.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Ethan's parents hope it will lead

:10:08.:10:17.
:10:18.:10:18.

to procedures being improved. have not been able to have closure

:10:18.:10:24.

on this for the two years since Ethan passed away. In light of the

:10:24.:10:27.

inquest they can at least have some closure. What they are pleased

:10:27.:10:31.

about is that clearly lessons have been learned from these event and

:10:31.:10:35.

steps put in place to the extent that hopefully it won't happen to

:10:35.:10:40.

another family. A Plymouth soldier died after volunteering to lead a

:10:40.:10:43.

team of bomb disposal experts to a haul of explosives in Afghanistan.

:10:43.:10:45.

An inquest in Plymouth today heard that 32-year-old Corporal Mark

:10:45.:10:49.

Palin was acting as point man for the group who were searching for a

:10:49.:10:51.

cache of bomb parts in Helmand Province last July. Corporal Palin,

:10:52.:10:54.

from 1st Battalion the Rifles, triggered the pressure plate of a

:10:54.:10:57.

home made bomb. The father of two was killed instantly. Plymouth

:10:57.:10:59.

Coroner Ian Arrow, recorded a verdict of unlawful killing while

:11:00.:11:09.

on active service. 51 jobs are under threat in Plymouth with the

:11:09.:11:12.

closure of the Everest call centre. The home improvement and windows

:11:12.:11:14.

company blames a very competitive marketplace. It's consulting with

:11:14.:11:18.

employees at the centre in St Andrews Street for the next 30 days

:11:18.:11:20.

and says it'll look at the possibility of staff moving to

:11:20.:11:28.

other locations. The Government has awarded a new contract to operate

:11:28.:11:31.

search and rescue services from Portland in Dorset. CHC Scotia will

:11:31.:11:33.

operate from Portland until 2017, under the management of the

:11:34.:11:36.

Maritime and Coastguard Agency. It replaces the existing MCA

:11:36.:11:38.

helicopter service which is expiring. Beyond 2017, search and

:11:38.:11:48.
:11:48.:11:49.

rescue services will be contracted nationally. A planning decision has

:11:49.:11:51.

been formally granted for a controversial new incinerator in

:11:52.:11:54.

Plymouth. It follows a period of consultation with local residents,

:11:54.:11:57.

many of whom were fiercely opposed to the scheme at North Yard in

:11:57.:11:59.

Devonport Dockyard. The city council says there have been

:12:00.:12:02.

several conditions imposed, to help offset the impact of the

:12:02.:12:12.
:12:12.:12:17.

development. Coming up next: Cornwall's Wavehub is finally being

:12:17.:12:21.

put to use. Plus: He was homeless and living rough, now John Paton is

:12:21.:12:24.

getting his life back on track. Find out how later. And signing and

:12:24.:12:32.

singing - the youngsters taking part in a world record attempt. The

:12:32.:12:35.

Wavehub in Cornwall has finally secured its first customer almost

:12:35.:12:38.

two years after it was placed on the seabed off Hayle. A wave energy

:12:38.:12:41.

company in Southern Ireland has announced plans to plug into the

:12:41.:12:44.

device in a deal which could be worth millions to the region's

:12:44.:12:45.

economy. Our Environment Correspondent Adrian Campbell

:12:45.:12:55.
:12:55.:12:58.

reports. The Wave Hub was placed on the sea bed near Hayle in 2010. By

:12:58.:13:02.

the autumn it is hoped Irish based Ocean Energy will be the first

:13:02.:13:07.

company to tie up and connect their device into the hub. They have been

:13:07.:13:12.

testing a three quarter scale model of what is called the OE buoy in

:13:12.:13:16.

Ireland for three years and they have produced their own animation,

:13:16.:13:21.

explaining how it works. As the water enters the chaim Berks it

:13:21.:13:29.

forces the air -- chamber, it forces the air up and the turbine

:13:29.:13:31.

generates electricity. Waver hub offered the company financial

:13:31.:13:36.

support of around a million pounds to encourage them to tie up to the

:13:36.:13:42.

hub. But the question is why. have been confident of deployment

:13:42.:13:48.

activity on the site from 2013. But we needed to test our procedure and

:13:48.:13:54.

to do that we had to accept we needed to offer some grant funding

:13:54.:13:57.

and unfortunately there was funding that remained within the project

:13:57.:14:01.

budget that we have been able to offer to the company. We have

:14:01.:14:06.

chosen the test facility for a number of reasons. It has a good

:14:06.:14:10.

connection available to connect our device and we have the option of

:14:10.:14:15.

connecting an array of devices that no other test site can offer. And

:14:15.:14:24.

so it has the option of developing it into a commercial farm. So this

:14:24.:14:29.

unusual look device should be in Cornish waters by the autumn. The

:14:29.:14:35.

announcement means two of wave hubs four berths have been reserved. US

:14:35.:14:44.

and UK based Ocean Technologies are using them as well. There have been

:14:44.:14:47.

calls for speed limits on Bodmin Moor to be lowered, after a rise in

:14:47.:14:50.

the number of animals being hit by cars. Campaigners say speed

:14:50.:14:53.

restrictions should be similar to that of Dartmoor, where around 50%

:14:53.:14:58.

of the roads have a 40mph limit. Eleanor Parkinson reports. On

:14:58.:15:02.

Bodmin Moor there is nothing to separate the animals from the cars.

:15:02.:15:06.

These drivers have to be patient. Even when they have to get out of

:15:06.:15:11.

the car to persuade this horse to move. Landowners say accidents are

:15:11.:15:16.

on the rise, particularly horse and motorists are driving too fast and

:15:16.:15:19.

the animals are being drawn on to the roads, because people are

:15:19.:15:24.

bringing them food. We have had problems all righted almost daily

:15:24.:15:29.

of people feeding animals at the side of the road. They shouldn't do

:15:29.:15:34.

that. The animals are not starving. We have animal health and Trading

:15:34.:15:38.

Standards doing spot checks and alerting us if there is an issue.

:15:38.:15:44.

In the last tw years, ten horses have been kill and five injured.

:15:44.:15:51.

Three - there were three accidents in one month. I'm convinced

:15:51.:15:57.

somebody will be killed or severely injured before long. It's just...

:15:57.:16:07.
:16:07.:16:08.

The odds are stacked that way. road has the worst record. But

:16:08.:16:16.

landowners call for a 40mph speed limit on all roads on the moor. A

:16:16.:16:20.

man who told us how he was sleeping rough on the streets of Dorset says

:16:20.:16:23.

he believes he's now on the road to a normal life. We first heard from

:16:23.:16:26.

John Paton in September last year. He showed our reporter Simon

:16:26.:16:29.

Clemison the tents and doorways in Bridport where he says he and

:16:29.:16:32.

others had been staying. Since then John has been getting help from a

:16:32.:16:35.

Christian charity which offers refuge to people in crisis. Simon

:16:35.:16:38.

went to see him in rural Dorset as he looks again at homelessness in

:16:38.:16:48.
:16:48.:16:50.

the countryside. This is a few miles from the streets where John

:16:50.:16:57.

says he scavenged for food and slept in a wheelie bin. Now, he has

:16:57.:17:02.

somewhere he can call home. You're not on the sleep living in cold and

:17:02.:17:09.

in a tent or wherever you decide to live in, and it is more secure.

:17:09.:17:15.

It's a safe haven and I just feel much better. For more than 50 years,

:17:15.:17:20.

this has been a place where people can rebuild their lives. Some

:17:20.:17:26.

suffer from depression, others from addiction, divorce or bereavement.

:17:26.:17:32.

John has battled with drink. Not the reason he ended up sleep rough,

:17:32.:17:36.

but perhaps what kept him on the street. How have you been getting

:17:36.:17:40.

on? Basically I have gone a long way from being an alcoholic and I'm

:17:40.:17:46.

trying to sort my life out. And it has been difficult. But I sort of

:17:46.:17:54.

get counselling. And for stress and for depression, which is helping.

:17:54.:17:58.

What also helps is the part he plays here. In keeping food grown

:17:59.:18:03.

in the gardens on the table. Everyone has a role. It creates a

:18:03.:18:08.

family atmosphere, restoring what is in many cases a loss of

:18:08.:18:14.

confidence. A lot of things that folks in general can take for

:18:14.:18:20.

granted, be it a roof over your head, or a regular pattern of meals,

:18:20.:18:25.

or friends or family around, aren't necessarily there for folks who are

:18:25.:18:27.

struggling. Does it make it difficult to beat the problems if

:18:28.:18:33.

you don't have those in place? John doesn't feel ready to return

:18:33.:18:37.

to his family and friends yet. But after seeing him again, he has

:18:37.:18:42.

taken a significant step forward. feel so much better here, with the

:18:42.:18:47.

help and support I'm getting from the worker, that I think I'm on the

:18:48.:18:53.

road to a normal life. In football, Exeter City's relegation worries

:18:53.:18:56.

have increased after they were beaten 2-0 at Bournemouth in League

:18:56.:18:59.

One last night. Two late goals sunk City, the first scored by

:18:59.:19:01.

Bournemouth's record 800,000 signing from Crawley Town, Matt

:19:01.:19:04.

Tubbs. The Cherries quickly doubled their lead to leave City only two

:19:04.:19:13.

points above the danger zone. Plymouth Albion rugby coach Nat

:19:13.:19:16.

Saumi, seen here behind one of his predecessors Graham Dawe, is

:19:16.:19:19.

staying at the Brickfields for next season. The Fijian, a former player

:19:19.:19:22.

with Albion, succeeded Peter Drewett, who left over the New Year

:19:22.:19:32.
:19:32.:19:32.

period. Saumi will become head coach and Director of Rugby. Now

:19:32.:19:35.

earlier today children at a school in Paignton took part in a world

:19:35.:19:38.

record attempt. The pupils at White Rock Primary were among thousands

:19:38.:19:41.

across the country all singing and signing at the same time. The event

:19:41.:19:44.

is designed to raise awareness of issues affecting people who are

:19:44.:19:47.

deaf or have hearing problems. John Danks joined them for the big

:19:47.:19:57.
:19:57.:20:00.

performance. # It is win word in any language # We have got to sign

:20:00.:20:09.

and sing at the same time. We are excited. I can't stop smiling.

:20:09.:20:13.

have got to tell your friends and spread the word, make it seen as

:20:13.:20:18.

well as hear. This afternoon more than 400 pupils crammed into this

:20:18.:20:22.

hall to do just that. Across the country, thousands of children were

:20:22.:20:26.

doing the same thing. All in a bid to enter the record books. It

:20:26.:20:32.

involved those with and without a hearing impairment. It is to raise

:20:32.:20:37.

awareness of what we're and how hard it is that we have to hear. We

:20:37.:20:42.

can't usually speak normally. We have to use our hands, sign

:20:42.:20:49.

language. The event is organised by the charity Sign Health. Last year

:20:49.:20:54.

they set a new world record of 95,000 people singing and

:20:54.:21:02.

signinging at the same time. White rock primary is one of 900 schools

:21:02.:21:08.

taking part. It has gone really well. The children have performed

:21:08.:21:12.

so well. And even down to the little ones who, I mean it is more

:21:12.:21:16.

difficult for them. Because this there is so much going on. But they

:21:16.:21:21.

have all tried hard and I'm proud of them as a school. So a thumbs up

:21:21.:21:25.

for this performance. But they won't know if they're record

:21:25.:21:35.

breakers for a few weeks yet. Brilliant stuff. Superb they can

:21:35.:21:40.

sign at such a young age. Now then, how's this for an amazing story of

:21:40.:21:43.

survival against the odds. A rare lizard is recovering in Somerset

:21:43.:21:46.

after surviving a 3,000 mile flight from his native isles and on top of

:21:46.:21:48.

that a washing machine cycle. Sue Banwell-Moore was certainly

:21:48.:21:52.

surprised to find her stowaway when she went to hang up her washing

:21:52.:21:54.

after her trip to Cape Verde Islands. Our Somerset reporter

:21:54.:22:04.
:22:04.:22:06.

Clinton Rogers takes up the story. She is looking in good condition,

:22:06.:22:13.

considering what happened. He is doing well in his new home. A

:22:13.:22:17.

wildlife park in Somerset. Seemingly no worse for his ordeal.

:22:17.:22:26.

He may only be six inches long, but Larry is... Well almost

:22:26.:22:31.

indestructible. He has done 3,000 miles in the hold of the aircraft.

:22:31.:22:36.

You would expect him to freeze death there and a trip around in a

:22:36.:22:42.

washing machine on a delicate wash. We're released it was Nat hot wash.

:22:42.:22:49.

Otherwise he would have come out well dead. Nadge surprise of suer

:22:49.:22:53.

after returning -- imagine the surprise of Sue after returning

:22:53.:22:59.

home from holidays in the Cape Verde isles and did her washing.

:22:59.:23:05.

But it wasn't just the smalls that got a short spin. At the end out

:23:05.:23:11.

popped Larry. Clean but barely alive. Shock horror, let out a

:23:11.:23:17.

little scream. Maybe quite oo big scream. And yes, frozen to the spot.

:23:17.:23:21.

As doubtless was Larry. Now this particular lizard can only be found

:23:21.:23:26.

on Cape Verde islands off the coast of Africa and Larry is thought to

:23:26.:23:32.

be the first to visit England. It us unlikely he will make it back

:23:32.:23:41.

now. But then west Somerset is a popular retirement spot! Good job

:23:41.:23:46.

it was a delicate cycle. But he looks none the worse for it. He

:23:46.:23:51.

seems perky after a spin around the world and a spin around the washing

:23:51.:23:56.

machine. Now the weather forecast and maybe some snow? Not a great

:23:56.:24:01.

deal but some in the east by the time we wake up on Friday morning.

:24:01.:24:07.

We have had another fine day, another cold one. Not every where

:24:07.:24:12.

has seen the sun. The further east we have been the more cloud. But

:24:12.:24:18.

here are some pictures from Sutton here are some pictures from Sutton

:24:19.:24:23.

harbour, where it was fine. If we could run those pictures now that

:24:23.:24:29.

would be good! The blue sky shows how good it was in Plymouth and in

:24:29.:24:35.

St Agnes. Some high level cloud there, but it has been a good day.

:24:35.:24:39.

And also in Hayle, where we had fine weather. But despite the

:24:39.:24:44.

sunshine, it has been really quite cold. There has been that gentle

:24:45.:24:48.

but chilling easterly breeze. It is the cold wind from the east that

:24:48.:24:55.

has made it feel bitter. Not every where had sunshine to the east, the

:24:55.:25:01.

Koller it has felt, because there has been a - old colder it has felt,

:25:01.:25:06.

because there has been a blanket of cloud. Now the winds will bring

:25:06.:25:11.

more cloud and rain, sleet and snow. Not necessarily for tomorrow, but

:25:11.:25:14.

Friday looks quite fraught. The boundary between where it will fall

:25:14.:25:18.

and rain and as snow is probably just to the east of our region.

:25:18.:25:23.

Most likely to affect parts of Somerset and Dorset for Cornwall

:25:23.:25:27.

and Devon it will fall as rain. Not though tonight and tomorrow. A lot

:25:27.:25:31.

of fine weather and a fair amount of clear sky. That will disappear

:25:31.:25:40.

as the cloud rolls in, having said that, it won't top the staement

:25:40.:25:47.

temperatures falling. BeLee he -- stop the temperatures falling. It

:25:47.:25:52.

will be below freezing tonight. A lot of cloud for most of the day

:25:52.:25:55.

tomorrow. But taefpltds again struggling. The highest figures

:25:55.:26:01.

will be in the western parts of Cornwall. Here you may get up to

:26:01.:26:07.

seven degrees. But further east you won't get much above one degree.

:26:07.:26:12.

For the Isles of Scilly we sould see some bright weather. Seven

:26:12.:26:22.
:26:22.:26:28.

degrees the top temperature. Times For surfers, some good surf.

:26:28.:26:34.

Tomorrow four or five feet and clean. Coastal waters forecast, the

:26:34.:26:39.

winds light to start with, become southly and picking up to force

:26:39.:26:43.

four. Mainly fair with moderate or good visibility. Tomorrow nights

:26:43.:26:50.

and into Friday is when we see the weather front come in. Some rain

:26:50.:26:55.

and patchy sleet and snow. To the east it will fall as sleet and snow.

:26:55.:26:59.

If you're head out of region up along the M4 corridor there could

:26:59.:27:04.

be some snow to contend with through the day on Friday. Looking

:27:04.:27:08.

further ahead, well there should be some dry weather by Saturday and

:27:08.:27:13.

Sunday. Some patchy rain around on Saturday. Clearing westwards and

:27:13.:27:16.

then mainly bright and dry on Sunday. But there is a warning

:27:16.:27:20.

about the snow on Friday. You can find out more on the BBC weather

:27:20.:27:25.
