Good Evening. A 72-year-old man has died in a

collision between his car and a lorry in Dorset. It happened just

after 1:00pm this afternoon on the A35 near the Monkeys Jump

roundabout at Dorchester. Roads in the area were closed for four hours

while an investigation was carried out.

Around 40 jobs have been lost in Plymouth after an electrical

contractor ceased trading. Administrators say that Belliver

based BFEC is likely to go into liquidation.

There was little sign of activity at the unit here today, and not

because of the Bank Holiday. The business has confirmed it has

ceased trading, news already delivered to around 40 staff, most

of whom had been made redundant. The company began 22 years ago and

grew to provide a range of building services. It is understood to have

been in difficulty for some time. A high in contracts seem to have come

-- seemed to have come too late. There were problems with companies

paying late when they allowed cash. A meeting is said to be held next

week, when a liquidator will be appointed.

A charity that provides emotional and practical support to vulnerable

women in Devon and Cornwall is to close. Platform 51 has 15 centres

across the UK but is shutting three of them, including Plymouth and

Truro. Here is our Cornwall reporter.

Over the years, the charity has helped thousands of women rebuild

their lives, and these are just some of them. This woman has had a

mental health problems since she was 15. She says the service has

been a lifeline. I have been through many youth groups over the

years and there is nothing like this. It has got me out of the

House. I have made new friends. It is great. Tracey has spent most of

her care here and it has affected her life with her own children. She

does not want to be identified but wants to talk about how the charity

affected her. I had quite a hard life and very low self-esteem. They

have come and help me with all of my problems and helped me do

letters to people who are important to me. This has helped me with

every issue I have had in my life. As well as offering practical

advice, there are regular meetings and workshops. These women say this

has helped them build a support network and make friends. Today we

were not allowed to film inside the building. The charity says the

reasons for closing the buildings are financial. They said that they

ended last year with a substantial deficit and are having to review

the structure. It is such a valuable service. There is nothing

else like it. This woman has had drug and alcohol problems and is

now living in emergency B&B accommodation. She says she has

real fears for the future. Easter weekend walkers are being

warned to look out for ticks. The bloodsucking insects live in the

countryside and carry bacteria which can cause Lyme disease.

Incidents are rising. This type of terrain is we're ticks

both humans and animals. There has been an increase in the tick

They include tucking trousers into socks and considering using insect

The anti capitalist movement Occupy Totnes has started another protest

against global capitalism. The pressure group has set up camp on

Veer Island in the town. Organisers have not said how long they plan to

stay there. Last December, South Hams Council gained a possession
