:00:22. > :00:29.Hello and welcome to the Children in Need fundraisers party in Belfast.
:00:30. > :00:33.This is where we say thank you to everyone who has been donating to
:00:34. > :00:38.Children in Need. It is not too late to give money to help children in
:00:39. > :00:57.Northern Ireland who need it most. This is how you can do it... .
:00:58. > :01:02.At the teddy bears picnic, we will hear from some fundraisers who have
:01:03. > :01:07.been all over the country doing that yet, and I have bought my Teddy
:01:08. > :01:15.Long, a bunny rabbit from the good old days. He is a big softy. I
:01:16. > :01:18.brought my husband 's from when he was a little boy. He is in safe
:01:19. > :01:27.hands which you must donate to see him again! His friends will be happy
:01:28. > :01:32.with that! So what is going on? It has been a easy Children in Need
:01:33. > :01:38.this year. Coming up later, rate musical formance is including a 150
:01:39. > :01:43.strong choir who have been performing Gary Barlow and Andrew
:01:44. > :01:49.Lloyd Webber's hit song. And find out what happened when two Radio
:01:50. > :01:54.Ulster presenters went head-to-head in the Bake Off Challenge. That was
:01:55. > :02:07.supposed to be prevented. It is not great! I look forward to
:02:08. > :02:11.seeing that! But your money does make a difference. Last year, over
:02:12. > :02:15.50,000 children and young people were helped by Children in Need in
:02:16. > :02:21.Northern Ireland and one project that has been supported is Horizon
:02:22. > :02:25.West and County Fermanagh. This is a children's Hospice providing respite
:02:26. > :02:28.care in April setting for families of children like Grace. -- in April
:02:29. > :02:43.setting. Grace was born after a normal
:02:44. > :02:49.pregnancy probably within the first 24 hours though, we noticed
:02:50. > :02:56.something was not right. The neurologist diagnosed Grace with an
:02:57. > :03:04.extremely rare condition. With her condition, 50% are dead within the
:03:05. > :03:11.first year so it is fantastic she is now three and a half. Every day has
:03:12. > :03:17.been a bonus. Having a rise in West on the doorstep is a major step
:03:18. > :03:26.forward for families in this area -- one. We are about five miles outside
:03:27. > :03:29.Enniskillen and Hoople want to access Horizon West, they have a
:03:30. > :03:31.long journey. Children have specialist equipment that has to be
:03:32. > :03:38.long journey. Children have packed up and some children do not
:03:39. > :03:42.travel well. So the journey by car can be very tiring for the children.
:03:43. > :03:47.When Grace comes in for day care, she is greeted courteously, as we
:03:48. > :03:58.all are, but especially Grace because everybody loves her.
:03:59. > :04:06.We do see how she interacts and smiles. She looks around. We know
:04:07. > :04:11.that she knows we are there. She is just a beautiful child. We went
:04:12. > :04:16.through a grieving process, if that makes sense, because we would
:04:17. > :04:28.grieving for the child we thought we had and she was gone. We have a
:04:29. > :04:33.different child now. Yes. I was reading a poem about when you are
:04:34. > :04:39.thinking due boarding a flight to Italy but it is Holland, but as you
:04:40. > :04:41.get your head around it and you accept the diagnosis and the
:04:42. > :04:47.prognosis that you have a child living with a condition that is life
:04:48. > :04:55.limiting, you look at Holland and you think, it is not a bad place. It
:04:56. > :05:01.has windmills and it has tulips. It has lovely attractions.
:05:02. > :05:05.If you have a family of children who are healthy and well, you sometimes
:05:06. > :05:10.do not appreciate the difficulties that some families we see would
:05:11. > :05:16.experience. And in order to give families those opportunities, we are
:05:17. > :05:18.able to provide respite here in a safe environment.
:05:19. > :05:25.able to provide respite here in a We have two of the daughters also

:05:31. > :05:34.That is why the Hospice is very important.
:05:35. > :05:45.We can get some respite and do things with our other daughters.
:05:46. > :05:53.Any donation you make will make an enormous difference to the children
:05:54. > :05:57.and families that use Horizon West. The Children in Need money will be
:05:58. > :06:04.vital for that so please pick up the phone.

:06:48. > :06:54.photographs and sell them to parents. And over the years, we have
:06:55. > :06:58.raised ?20,000. You have a lot of children from the nursery here. They
:06:59. > :07:02.have been going round in pyjamas every week and they are having fun.
:07:03. > :07:13.Look at these faces, hello! Lovely smile! Tell us what you have done. I

:18:23. > :18:26.nervous before going on stage? Everybody has nervous but it is good

:19:38. > :20:08.North Belfast. New Lodge Arts provides
:20:09. > :20:13.opportunities for young people in North Belfast to get involved in
:20:14. > :20:18.arts activities. Tonight we are down in the 13 getting ready for the
:20:19. > :20:23.dance performance which is taking place at the Water Works Park as
:20:24. > :20:28.part of the North Belfast and Antrim magical evening. Without the support
:20:29. > :20:32.of people like Children in Need, we would not be able to do what we are
:20:33. > :20:36.doing because the young people we work with are not necessarily from
:20:37. > :20:41.families that can afford to go to theatres across Belfast and maybe
:20:42. > :20:45.don't have access to transport so we try to provide activities in their

:20:56. > :21:03.I feel that a large arts are very supportive and they provide projects
:21:04. > :21:09.that will get young people off the street. My favourite thing is they
:21:10. > :21:14.help me make new friends from different communities and do
:21:15. > :21:19.something we love to do. It is an amazing organisation. It is
:21:20. > :21:22.multicultural and is a great chance for young people to come together
:21:23. > :21:27.and create and be expressive through the arts. We all have the same goal,
:21:28. > :21:38.it is about enjoyment and reaching our full potential. New Lodge Arts
:21:39. > :21:44.has given me a chance to work with people and do help me with dancing
:21:45. > :21:55.and acting. We have been doing stuff that I never thought I would have
:21:56. > :21:58.done before. It is about being self expressive, learning respect and
:21:59. > :22:02.self-identity and teaching confidence. It is a vast range of
:22:03. > :22:11.skills and very beneficial for young people to take part. Sometimes I
:22:12. > :22:15.think people think about the arts as entertainment, which of course it is
:22:16. > :22:20.entertainment, but it is a lot more than that. Community arts has the
:22:21. > :22:25.ability to change people 's lives and Children in Need of money really
:22:26. > :22:28.helps projects, we could not do projects like this without that

:23:39. > :23:48.glass in all these paintings has been broken from the inside. SMASH
:23:49. > :23:55.As you can see, all the paintings are landscapes. No figures of any
:23:56. > :23:58.kind. So? There used to be. Something's got out of the
:23:59. > :24:04.paintings. Lots of somethings. Dangerous. This whole place has been

:27:15. > :27:19.eat your heart out! Look at that. The buns are gone. They are both
:27:20. > :27:29.inconsistent sizes. We will go to icing now. How do you get down to

:27:37. > :27:45.How would the toothpaste in your house look? You're helping him. The
:27:46. > :27:54.point of holding it around your fist is to prevent that. Shall I wash my

:32:06. > :32:11.So he had a lot of advice to share with the choirs. They say if you
