0:00:03 > 0:00:06Do you know your neighbours well enough to call them your friends?

0:00:06 > 0:00:08Well, many of us don't -

0:00:08 > 0:00:10but today we hope to change all of that,

0:00:10 > 0:00:13when we bring the neighbourhood and the community together

0:00:13 > 0:00:16to raise money for one incredibly special person.

0:00:17 > 0:00:20Her name's Kizzy and she dedicates all her free time

0:00:20 > 0:00:25to working with inner-city kids - and along the way she changes lives.

0:00:26 > 0:00:28I know what they're going through, it's not nice,

0:00:28 > 0:00:31and when there's nobody to turn to, that's the worst.

0:00:31 > 0:00:36Meeting Kizzy gave me hope for my future.

0:00:36 > 0:00:39She's like a big role model, she's like a second mother

0:00:39 > 0:00:40to, like, all the other kids.

0:00:40 > 0:00:44We want to raise £700 to buy Kizzy a much-deserved treat.

0:00:44 > 0:00:49So, we're going into the community to find unwanted items to sell...

0:00:49 > 0:00:51This is a really good find, so, thank you so much.

0:00:51 > 0:00:55..furniture to upcycle and treasures and art to auction off

0:00:55 > 0:00:56at an amazing street party -

0:00:56 > 0:00:59but how will Kizzy react when she discovers

0:00:59 > 0:01:02that, for once, all the effort has been for her?

0:01:07 > 0:01:10Today, we're in Bristol, in the west of England,

0:01:10 > 0:01:13in the thriving artistic neighbourhood of Easton.

0:01:13 > 0:01:15It's home to a very special person.

0:01:15 > 0:01:16Kizzy Morrell.

0:01:17 > 0:01:20- You all right?- Yes!

0:01:20 > 0:01:21Kizzy works as a radio DJ,

0:01:21 > 0:01:24but she's also a youth leader, singing coach,

0:01:24 > 0:01:27and mentor to local youngsters.

0:01:27 > 0:01:31We've told her we are making a programme about community projects.

0:01:31 > 0:01:34What she doesn't know is that actually it's all about her.

0:01:35 > 0:01:39Kizzy was born in Dorset in 1964.

0:01:39 > 0:01:41When she was a child, the whole family moved to Hull,

0:01:41 > 0:01:44including Kizzy, and a younger brother, Andre.

0:01:44 > 0:01:49Being non-white in Hull, there was not many of us around,

0:01:49 > 0:01:52and my sister would always stick up for me,

0:01:52 > 0:01:56she'd be the one fighting my battles in the playground.

0:01:56 > 0:02:01Every day, I'd get beaten up at school, every single day.

0:02:01 > 0:02:03Every day, being called names,

0:02:03 > 0:02:05being pushed through glass windows...

0:02:05 > 0:02:09All the horrible stuff people don't want to talk about has happened.

0:02:09 > 0:02:14At 15, Kizzy moved to London to try and break into showbiz.

0:02:15 > 0:02:19It was just like an adventure, it was just a new adventure.

0:02:19 > 0:02:21It was almost like having wings,

0:02:21 > 0:02:23and then being able to think,

0:02:23 > 0:02:25"Right, now, the world is my oyster."

0:02:25 > 0:02:26She soon got noticed,

0:02:26 > 0:02:29and eventually worked with famous names like Prince,

0:02:29 > 0:02:31Hot Chocolate, and Take That.

0:02:31 > 0:02:34Yeah, I remember Kizzy coming home and telling me

0:02:34 > 0:02:38that she'd got a top three hit single in one of the charts.

0:02:38 > 0:02:40But not everything was going well.

0:02:40 > 0:02:44After a relationship went badly wrong, she moved to Bristol,

0:02:44 > 0:02:47and there she decided to use her showbiz experience

0:02:47 > 0:02:49to help local kids.

0:02:49 > 0:02:53Music is the common denominator that brings everybody together.

0:02:53 > 0:02:56So, I thought, "Oh, maybe I could set up a school

0:02:56 > 0:02:57"and teach them how to sing,"

0:02:57 > 0:03:01as well as helping them through their issues,

0:03:01 > 0:03:03and their dramas in life.

0:03:03 > 0:03:08She set up a project called Studio 7 to support and mentor young people.

0:03:08 > 0:03:11I call it a finishing school for artists,

0:03:11 > 0:03:17and the idea behind it is to find young raw talent,

0:03:17 > 0:03:19to polish them,

0:03:19 > 0:03:23and make them into amazing superstars.

0:03:23 > 0:03:26Many of Kizzy's proteges have gone on to careers in showbiz,

0:03:26 > 0:03:29including actor and singer Jacob Anderson,

0:03:29 > 0:03:30star of Game Of Thrones.

0:03:32 > 0:03:36But every kid who Kizzy helps is special, whatever they end up doing.

0:03:36 > 0:03:40It's important for everybody to find a place in their heart

0:03:40 > 0:03:44to help our young children, because they're so important to us.

0:03:46 > 0:03:47They really are.

0:03:48 > 0:03:49Sorry.

0:03:51 > 0:03:52As a thank you for all she does,

0:03:52 > 0:03:56we'd like to send her on a pampering break.

0:03:56 > 0:03:59£700 would pay for a really luxurious weekend -

0:03:59 > 0:04:01and here's how we going to raise it.

0:04:02 > 0:04:05Now, the plan is we knock on as many doors as possible today

0:04:05 > 0:04:09here in this community, asking all of Kizzy's friends,

0:04:09 > 0:04:13family and neighbours to donate any unwanted or unloved items,

0:04:13 > 0:04:16so we can sell them here on the street in a pop-up auction,

0:04:16 > 0:04:17in a few weeks' time.

0:04:17 > 0:04:21Now, that is a big task - but there's an even greater challenge.

0:04:21 > 0:04:24Keeping it a secret from Kizzy until after the sale.

0:04:24 > 0:04:27We want it to be one big surprise.

0:04:27 > 0:04:30It will be a tough job - but luckily I'm not facing it alone.

0:04:31 > 0:04:34I've called for backup, in the shape of auctioneer

0:04:34 > 0:04:37and toy and sporting memorabilia expert Tim Weeks.

0:04:40 > 0:04:41- Tim.- Hello.

0:04:41 > 0:04:43- It's great to see you. - Good to see you too.

0:04:43 > 0:04:44- Feeling confident? - I am feeling confident.

0:04:44 > 0:04:47- There's loads of houses.- Good. - Lots of doors to knock on.

0:04:47 > 0:04:48I reckon there's a lot of stuff here.

0:04:48 > 0:04:50So, which side of the street do you want?

0:04:50 > 0:04:52I wouldn't mind saving my feet, so can I have this side?

0:04:52 > 0:04:53Saving your feet! I tell you what,

0:04:53 > 0:04:56your feet are going to be doing a lot of running around today.

0:04:56 > 0:04:58That's why I've got trainers on! Great, high five.

0:04:58 > 0:05:01But which of us will come back with the most donations?

0:05:01 > 0:05:03Come on, Easton, show us what you've got.

0:05:09 > 0:05:10Just checking. You never know!

0:05:14 > 0:05:17Fingers crossed, Tim, go on, get inside, get some stuff!

0:05:17 > 0:05:20Actually, look, I'm working evenly down with Tim.

0:05:20 > 0:05:22He's not having a lot of luck, either.

0:05:24 > 0:05:26Finally, one of us gets a break.

0:05:26 > 0:05:28Tim's knocked on Cat's door.

0:05:28 > 0:05:30- I'm, like, a hoarder, so... - You're a hoarder?!

0:05:30 > 0:05:33- Oh, I love hoarders.- Yeah, yeah, yeah! I've got loads of stuff.

0:05:33 > 0:05:35I can donate Foxy.

0:05:35 > 0:05:37Pictures of animals always sell.

0:05:37 > 0:05:39This watercolour is by a local artist,

0:05:39 > 0:05:41and it should make us £20.

0:05:41 > 0:05:44- These nutcracker guys. - Nutcrackers, look.

0:05:44 > 0:05:45I think they're really cool.

0:05:45 > 0:05:46They're going to look great.

0:05:46 > 0:05:48The prince and the soldier nutcrackers

0:05:48 > 0:05:50follows a design that dates back hundreds of years.

0:05:50 > 0:05:53These are modern, but really decorative,

0:05:53 > 0:05:55and as a pair I think they'd make a tenner.

0:05:55 > 0:05:57Sorry, is that your lunch, as well?

0:05:57 > 0:06:00Finally, I've found someone in the street who will let me in.

0:06:00 > 0:06:01Oh, thank you.

0:06:01 > 0:06:04Daniel has a huge pile of textbooks to donate,

0:06:04 > 0:06:08which cost a fortune new, so should make us a few pounds each -

0:06:08 > 0:06:09and it turns out he knows Kizzy.

0:06:11 > 0:06:13- Yeah. Yeah, seen her before. - Yeah? Great singer.

0:06:13 > 0:06:16So, I've been down there to the studio and music facilities

0:06:16 > 0:06:18and stuff when I was younger, a bit younger, and stuff like that.

0:06:18 > 0:06:22So, yeah, she's a really, really positive woman.

0:06:22 > 0:06:26Just up the road, Jamila also has a couple of items for Tim.

0:06:26 > 0:06:28- You've got something?!- Yeah. - Can we come in?

0:06:28 > 0:06:30- Yeah, please. - Fantastic. Thank you so much.

0:06:30 > 0:06:32Great. Great news.

0:06:32 > 0:06:33- This one...- OK.

0:06:33 > 0:06:36This computer desk would be perfect for someone

0:06:36 > 0:06:38who's short on space who works from home...

0:06:39 > 0:06:41..and this modern glass top coffee table

0:06:41 > 0:06:43as a solid wooden base that would be ideal

0:06:43 > 0:06:46for displaying books or ornaments.

0:06:46 > 0:06:47Put it there. You've been a real star.

0:06:47 > 0:06:48Thank you so much.

0:06:48 > 0:06:50Meanwhile, out on the street...

0:06:52 > 0:06:53Oh...

0:06:54 > 0:06:57Oh, I tell you what...!

0:06:57 > 0:06:59It's getting really wet out there!

0:06:59 > 0:07:01I'll take shelter for a minute.

0:07:01 > 0:07:02I don't know where Tim is.

0:07:02 > 0:07:05Hopefully, he's inside somebody's house, but...

0:07:06 > 0:07:08That's wet.

0:07:08 > 0:07:12While I'm taking shelter, Tim's lucky streak continues at Martin's.

0:07:12 > 0:07:15- This is great.- I haven't got a record player any more.

0:07:15 > 0:07:18Why I kept these two old LPs... Sometimes, people...

0:07:18 > 0:07:20- I believe they're coming back into fashion.- It's back.

0:07:20 > 0:07:23The vinyl revival is in full flow, believe me.

0:07:23 > 0:07:26- Couple of old Chopin LPs... - Yeah, great, we'll take those.

0:07:26 > 0:07:28This disc could make £2,

0:07:28 > 0:07:32but if you found a signed copy of the Beatles' Sergeant Pepper LP,

0:07:32 > 0:07:34it would be worth £200,000.

0:07:34 > 0:07:36It's an old style mouse.

0:07:36 > 0:07:38- Oh, isn't that fun?! - Are they any use at all any more?

0:07:38 > 0:07:39Yeah, absolutely.

0:07:39 > 0:07:40Anyway, it may be something

0:07:40 > 0:07:42- that attracts somebody in some way.- Yeah, yeah.

0:07:42 > 0:07:45Retro computer hardware has rocketed in value.

0:07:45 > 0:07:49One vintage model recently made over £300,000,

0:07:49 > 0:07:52so this mouse could well be an investment for the future.

0:07:53 > 0:07:57Martin's lived here for six years, and loves his neighbourhood.

0:07:57 > 0:08:00It is diverse, it's exciting, it's just full of...

0:08:02 > 0:08:03- Different people.- Yeah.

0:08:03 > 0:08:04All living together.

0:08:04 > 0:08:06Effectively.

0:08:06 > 0:08:09It's finally stopped raining, and I'm back on track.

0:08:09 > 0:08:12At my next house, Tim's been doing some upcycling of his own.

0:08:14 > 0:08:16Ah, look at that! Bright yellow!

0:08:16 > 0:08:17- Yeah.- Did you paint that?

0:08:17 > 0:08:19- I did, yeah.- Brilliant.

0:08:19 > 0:08:22Well, we can have that, that will be somebody else's TV unit.

0:08:22 > 0:08:24This corner unit is a bit out of the ordinary.

0:08:24 > 0:08:28I like its curvy front, and the cut-out details by its legs -

0:08:28 > 0:08:30and the colour. It's a show stopper.

0:08:30 > 0:08:34I'm sure someone will give us £10 for it.

0:08:34 > 0:08:38And Tim's still on a roll, with yet another item at Sadie's.

0:08:38 > 0:08:40Yes, I've got one thing.

0:08:40 > 0:08:41- OK.- I've got a sledge.

0:08:41 > 0:08:43- OK, yeah.- A wooden sled with metal rails.- Nice.

0:08:43 > 0:08:45- Yeah, that would be great.- Have it! - Put it there.

0:08:47 > 0:08:50This traditional sled could date back to the 1930s,

0:08:50 > 0:08:53and is made of oak, with iron runners.

0:08:53 > 0:08:55I've seen these fetch up to £50,

0:08:55 > 0:08:57so I'm hoping it will make at least 20.

0:08:57 > 0:08:59Go on, let's get it on the van.

0:09:02 > 0:09:04With my first donations in the bag,

0:09:04 > 0:09:07I'm taking time out to pop into the local community centre

0:09:07 > 0:09:11to meet Kizzy's best friend and right-hand woman, Victoria.

0:09:11 > 0:09:14Right... So, tell me a bit more about her.

0:09:14 > 0:09:16Everybody knows her,

0:09:16 > 0:09:19anybody within the music industry knows her within Bristol,

0:09:19 > 0:09:22and they will go out of their way for her

0:09:22 > 0:09:25- because they know what she's about. - Sure. Yeah.

0:09:25 > 0:09:29And she helps mothers, she helps families, she's...

0:09:29 > 0:09:34and it's all because of her love and her passion for our children.

0:09:34 > 0:09:36When the two women met, Victoria's daughter Angel

0:09:36 > 0:09:38was being bullied at school.

0:09:38 > 0:09:40At that time, I was distraught.

0:09:40 > 0:09:42- I bet you were.- I was in pieces.

0:09:42 > 0:09:44It was, you know, my baby.

0:09:44 > 0:09:48If it wasn't for Kizzy being by my side,

0:09:48 > 0:09:51I wouldn't have been able to manage, because I was in no state of mind...

0:09:51 > 0:09:53- No.- ..to cope with it all on my own, I couldn't...

0:09:53 > 0:09:55And she was my rock.

0:09:55 > 0:09:58You always have to have that special friend...

0:09:58 > 0:10:01- Oh, yes.- That you can confide in, you can talk to,

0:10:01 > 0:10:04- and Kizzy was that for me.- Mm.

0:10:04 > 0:10:07Victoria's seen first-hand what a difference Kizzy makes

0:10:07 > 0:10:09to the kids she mentors.

0:10:09 > 0:10:12Here, we've got Tyrell over there, for instance.

0:10:12 > 0:10:15Now, when he first came into Studio 7,

0:10:15 > 0:10:20he had the biggest chip on his shoulder you could ever believe.

0:10:20 > 0:10:22Tyrell? Come over here, mate.

0:10:23 > 0:10:26My name's Paul. How do you do?

0:10:26 > 0:10:29- My name's Ty. - Yeah, take a seat with us.

0:10:29 > 0:10:32And what has Kizzy done, specifically, for you?

0:10:32 > 0:10:34When I... When I came to Studio 7,

0:10:34 > 0:10:37I wasn't quite comfortable with myself as a person.

0:10:38 > 0:10:42Obviously, a lot of personal issues I was going through at that time,

0:10:42 > 0:10:45a lot of bullying at school, so...

0:10:45 > 0:10:48So, through that time I put up a front.

0:10:48 > 0:10:50Hence the reason I had the chip on my shoulder.

0:10:50 > 0:10:51- Sure.- Hence the reason I thought...

0:10:51 > 0:10:54- That's how you have to deal with it. - Hence the reason I thought I was it.

0:10:54 > 0:10:57How would you describe Kizzy, and what does she mean to you?

0:10:57 > 0:11:00She's like a big role model, she's like a second mother

0:11:00 > 0:11:02to, like...to, like, all the kids.

0:11:02 > 0:11:05Cos some kids don't have a mother,

0:11:05 > 0:11:07and some kids don't grow up with their mother,

0:11:07 > 0:11:12- so Kizzy's like the alternative, the alternative for a parent.- Yeah.

0:11:13 > 0:11:15She's boosted up my confidence,

0:11:15 > 0:11:19she's made me feel more comfortable within myself as a person,

0:11:19 > 0:11:22and I feel like I can branch out more, now.

0:11:22 > 0:11:25I do hope to become, like... the best singer in Bristol!

0:11:25 > 0:11:26THEY LAUGH

0:11:28 > 0:11:29Well, I hope it happens.

0:11:29 > 0:11:31I hope it happens, I really do.

0:11:31 > 0:11:32Like Tyrell,

0:11:32 > 0:11:36Victoria's daughter Angel has come a long way with Kizzy's help,

0:11:36 > 0:11:39and is taking her first steps towards a recording career.

0:11:40 > 0:11:42What was it like for you at your lowest point?

0:11:42 > 0:11:45What were you feeling? How did Kizzy turn it around?

0:11:45 > 0:11:49I felt like I wasn't like everybody else.

0:11:49 > 0:11:51I just felt completely different,

0:11:51 > 0:11:54I just felt like I was always on my own,

0:11:54 > 0:11:56I didn't feel like I had anyone there to comfort me

0:11:56 > 0:11:58or to make me feel comfortable.

0:11:58 > 0:12:00But Kizzy took Angel under her wing.

0:12:00 > 0:12:02Kizzy will phone me up and be like, "Angel, come to my house!

0:12:02 > 0:12:04"We're going to do some music."

0:12:04 > 0:12:06We used to record, do funny, like, music stuff,

0:12:06 > 0:12:09like on the computers, and it was just, she was just...

0:12:09 > 0:12:15She's just there, she's just inspiring, like, just always...

0:12:15 > 0:12:17been able to help me through everything,

0:12:17 > 0:12:19even though I don't know how.

0:12:19 > 0:12:21Like... It just seems like she's been through it herself.

0:12:23 > 0:12:26Kizzy makes a difference by drawing on her own troubled youth

0:12:26 > 0:12:28to help the next generation.

0:12:28 > 0:12:31I know what they're going through, I've been there myself.

0:12:31 > 0:12:33I've been bullied, and...

0:12:34 > 0:12:39It's not nice, and when there's nobody to turn to, that's the worst.

0:12:39 > 0:12:41You know, you want to die.

0:12:41 > 0:12:44Or you want to cut yourself, or...

0:12:44 > 0:12:48You feel isolated, and alone and afraid,

0:12:48 > 0:12:50and I don't want them to feel like that.

0:12:50 > 0:12:51I don't want...

0:12:55 > 0:12:58So... I use music to help.

0:13:00 > 0:13:04Kizzy runs workshops twice a week for talented youngsters.

0:13:04 > 0:13:08Tonight, singer and former student Emma has come back

0:13:08 > 0:13:09to talk to the group.

0:13:09 > 0:13:11I lost my voice when I was 20.

0:13:11 > 0:13:15I could have given up singing, I could have given it up.

0:13:15 > 0:13:17But then I carried on,

0:13:17 > 0:13:20I carried on working at it because I knew what I wanted, eventually.

0:13:20 > 0:13:23Kizzy was a massive inspiration for me.

0:13:23 > 0:13:25I knew what I wanted to achieve.

0:13:25 > 0:13:28'Places like this are really important for young people'

0:13:28 > 0:13:31because you don't know what they are going home to,

0:13:31 > 0:13:34you don't know what's happening behind closed doors,

0:13:34 > 0:13:37and you don't know how they're feeling inside,

0:13:37 > 0:13:39and what's beating them down every single day,

0:13:39 > 0:13:43but just one night a week they get together in their family unit,

0:13:43 > 0:13:46and they support each other, and it's incredible.

0:13:46 > 0:13:48ALL SING

0:13:52 > 0:13:54The studio provides a space for students

0:13:54 > 0:13:56to train, rehearse and hang out.

0:13:56 > 0:14:00If you get the young people to trust you and to love you,

0:14:00 > 0:14:02if you capture that energy,

0:14:02 > 0:14:05you can direct it into a really positive place.

0:14:05 > 0:14:06That's what I wanted to do,

0:14:06 > 0:14:10is build a place where I could look after, protect and provide

0:14:10 > 0:14:12for these young people, and...

0:14:12 > 0:14:14I suppose, like a mother.

0:14:14 > 0:14:17What did I love about that song?

0:14:17 > 0:14:18Beautiful lyrics?

0:14:18 > 0:14:21I love the lyrics, the lyrics are awesome.

0:14:21 > 0:14:23The emotion. What else?

0:14:24 > 0:14:27- The movement.- The movement!

0:14:27 > 0:14:29The movement of the song.

0:14:29 > 0:14:33What he did is he started off low, and then he built the song up

0:14:33 > 0:14:37into a crescendo and that's when he caught you all.

0:14:37 > 0:14:42Meeting Kizzy gave me hope, for my future.

0:14:42 > 0:14:46Meeting Kizzy gave me a family unit that I could come to,

0:14:46 > 0:14:48and I felt like I had a place in it,

0:14:48 > 0:14:51and I could give something back myself,

0:14:51 > 0:14:53and I felt a lot of value through that.

0:14:54 > 0:14:57Kizzy's made such a difference to so many over the years -

0:14:57 > 0:15:00and, what's more, she does it all for nothing.

0:15:00 > 0:15:02I like that!

0:15:02 > 0:15:03But my rule...

0:15:03 > 0:15:05No bad language!

0:15:05 > 0:15:08- Sorry.- You can write a rap without any swearing in it.

0:15:08 > 0:15:10- It was an accident. - You're intelligent!

0:15:11 > 0:15:14While Tim's on the hunt for more goods to sell,

0:15:14 > 0:15:15I'm off to meet Kizzy -

0:15:15 > 0:15:17but she mustn't guess what we're really up to.

0:15:17 > 0:15:19Let's hope I don't get rumbled.

0:15:19 > 0:15:21Now, this is the street that Kizzy lives in,

0:15:21 > 0:15:24so I've got to keep my voice down, now, because I can see her house.

0:15:24 > 0:15:27We're about three doors away.

0:15:27 > 0:15:29I want to go inside, hopefully get inside,

0:15:29 > 0:15:32and meet her, find out all about her,

0:15:32 > 0:15:35and try and get some things so that we can sell them

0:15:35 > 0:15:36at the pop up auction, and hopefully,

0:15:36 > 0:15:39fingers crossed, we can get her to sing for us, as well -

0:15:39 > 0:15:40but wish me luck.

0:15:44 > 0:15:46We're after donations for a pop-up auction.

0:15:46 > 0:15:47Yes.

0:15:47 > 0:15:48I develop young artists.

0:15:48 > 0:15:51- Do you?- Yes. - What, you're a voice coach, then?

0:15:51 > 0:15:52I'm a professional singer.

0:15:52 > 0:15:54I'd love you to sing, and get the kids to sing.

0:15:54 > 0:15:57- Oh... That would be awesome! - It would make our day.

0:15:57 > 0:15:59And you'd love them, because they're actually quite amazing.

0:15:59 > 0:16:01- I do cry.- Oh, do you?

0:16:01 > 0:16:03I do. Yeah. A lot, because they're just brilliant.

0:16:03 > 0:16:05Because there's a good music scene in Bristol...

0:16:05 > 0:16:07- A brilliant music scene! - A brilliant music scene.

0:16:07 > 0:16:10- I love it so much.- It's been buzzing for 20 years.- I know, it's great.

0:16:10 > 0:16:12So, what's the community like around here in general?

0:16:12 > 0:16:15I've had a great experience of Bristol,

0:16:15 > 0:16:17so I might be the wrong person to ask...!

0:16:17 > 0:16:19- No!- I love this city!

0:16:19 > 0:16:21No! No, you'll be brilliant.

0:16:21 > 0:16:23You know, I can see, it's written all over your face.

0:16:23 > 0:16:24There's so much passion and love.

0:16:24 > 0:16:27- So, we want to see that on stage! - Yes, absolutely.- OK.

0:16:27 > 0:16:29- Absolutely.- Fantastic! Fantastic! - Oh, I'm so excited!

0:16:29 > 0:16:32- Can I have a hug? - Yeah, course you can.

0:16:32 > 0:16:33Thank you!

0:16:36 > 0:16:38What a fantastic lady!

0:16:38 > 0:16:40Oh, do you know what? I can't wait to hear her

0:16:40 > 0:16:43and all the kids that she teaches and mentors sing.

0:16:43 > 0:16:45If they turn up, it's just go to be brilliant.

0:16:45 > 0:16:47Well, of course she's going to turn up -

0:16:47 > 0:16:48we're going to make that happen.

0:16:48 > 0:16:50But do you know what? She volunteered.

0:16:50 > 0:16:51I didn't have to push it.

0:16:51 > 0:16:54Sadly, we didn't get any items, but I tell you what,

0:16:54 > 0:16:56we've got her talent for the day!

0:16:58 > 0:17:00'But we can't sell talent.

0:17:00 > 0:17:03'We still need items to put up for auction.'

0:17:03 > 0:17:04Hello, puss-puss.

0:17:04 > 0:17:06'While I'm making friends with a local,

0:17:06 > 0:17:08'Tim's struck lucky again - at Ali's house.'

0:17:10 > 0:17:13Ali's donations alone will fill up a whole toy stall.

0:17:13 > 0:17:15There's stuff here for all ages,

0:17:15 > 0:17:18and this lot could bring in £30 towards our cause.

0:17:18 > 0:17:20- Go on, have this.- Well, thank you so much!

0:17:20 > 0:17:23That's great. It's going to go a long way. It'll really help.

0:17:23 > 0:17:26Let's hope this little one doesn't miss those toys.

0:17:26 > 0:17:28- Fantastic!- Yeah.- Well, I'll shake your hand, just about.

0:17:28 > 0:17:30- OK!- Thank you so much.

0:17:30 > 0:17:32That's so kind of you. I'm going to get this on the van.

0:17:32 > 0:17:36While Tim's got a mountain of toys, Wendy's just got one to donate...

0:17:36 > 0:17:37but it's a monster!

0:17:37 > 0:17:40- OK.- It's a massive, big, tatty teddy bear.

0:17:40 > 0:17:42It's in good condition. It's just a bit dusty.

0:17:42 > 0:17:44Big Ted! Oh, he's still got...

0:17:44 > 0:17:46He's still got a little sticker on him.

0:17:46 > 0:17:48He is in very good condition, isn't he?

0:17:48 > 0:17:50Well, I'm hoping that will help.

0:17:50 > 0:17:51- Oh, and some DVDs.- Big Ted.

0:17:51 > 0:17:53Don't you fall down, Ted.

0:17:53 > 0:17:55Stay. And some DVDs?

0:17:55 > 0:17:57Oh, brilliant! Thank you!

0:17:57 > 0:17:58That's brilliant.

0:17:58 > 0:18:01Teddy will go down well with the kids, and I reckon there's...

0:18:01 > 0:18:0525, 30 DVDs in there.

0:18:05 > 0:18:07£1, 50p each.

0:18:07 > 0:18:08You add it up.

0:18:10 > 0:18:11Oh, really?

0:18:11 > 0:18:14Meanwhile, down the road, David's got furniture going begging,

0:18:14 > 0:18:16and Tim's cashing in.

0:18:16 > 0:18:19One thing we will be doing is a lot of upcycling.

0:18:19 > 0:18:21- Oh, yeah?- And, I mean, that is a good sized chest of drawers

0:18:21 > 0:18:22that you've got there.

0:18:22 > 0:18:26Three long drawers, which is always desirable, great for a bedroom.

0:18:26 > 0:18:29Obviously, it's had its day, like this,

0:18:29 > 0:18:32that I think we could get our upcycling team onto that.

0:18:32 > 0:18:36We could definitely add value to this 1920s veneer chest of drawers.

0:18:36 > 0:18:40In its current state, we'd be lucky to get a fiver for it...

0:18:41 > 0:18:44..but upcycled, it could fetch three times that.

0:18:44 > 0:18:46What else has Tim spotted?

0:18:46 > 0:18:50And this is a bit of a dated piece, now, like this, but...

0:18:50 > 0:18:51I think...

0:18:51 > 0:18:54with a bit of work, again, we could turn this around,

0:18:54 > 0:18:56because it's got this lovely edge, there.

0:18:56 > 0:18:59Isn't that beautiful? Absolutely lovely.

0:18:59 > 0:19:04This 1930s mahogany dressing table has a stepped central panel,

0:19:04 > 0:19:06Art Deco curved detailing to the front of the middle drawer,

0:19:06 > 0:19:09and inlaid oval handles.

0:19:09 > 0:19:11Brown furniture like this is sadly out of fashion,

0:19:11 > 0:19:14so this could be another upcycling project for us.

0:19:14 > 0:19:17We could do something with it. Just spruce it up a little bit,

0:19:17 > 0:19:18- add a bit of vibrancy to it.- Yeah.

0:19:18 > 0:19:21I'd love to take those two pieces, that would be...

0:19:21 > 0:19:22- You're more than welcome. - ..incredible.

0:19:22 > 0:19:24- Before you rush off... - Is there something...?

0:19:24 > 0:19:26..there's some quite interesting chairs

0:19:26 > 0:19:28- under the carpet there. - OK, what have we got there?

0:19:28 > 0:19:30Oh, yeah.

0:19:30 > 0:19:32As we have a look, we can see the Ercol label.

0:19:32 > 0:19:36Ercol is so much in demand at the moment, it is so fashionable.

0:19:36 > 0:19:39What's great about this, as well, it's got the lighter shade of Ercol.

0:19:39 > 0:19:41the darker one doesn't do quite as well.

0:19:41 > 0:19:44The fact that is the lighter shade of wood,

0:19:44 > 0:19:47that is really going to help it sell.

0:19:47 > 0:19:49These elm chairs are a '50s classic.

0:19:49 > 0:19:52Ercol made the first mass produced Windsor chairs,

0:19:52 > 0:19:56a design going back centuries, with a solid seat and a pierced back.

0:19:56 > 0:20:00In a vintage shop these could set you back up to £50.

0:20:00 > 0:20:02These, you'd struggle to sell ten years ago,

0:20:02 > 0:20:04but now they are absolutely flying.

0:20:04 > 0:20:06Auction houses can't get enough of them.

0:20:06 > 0:20:08This is a really good find, so thank you so much.

0:20:08 > 0:20:09- It's a great donation.- Be my guest.

0:20:09 > 0:20:12So, you mentioned there might be something else hiding around there?

0:20:12 > 0:20:15There's another... It's a glass fronted cabinet, that...

0:20:15 > 0:20:18actually dates back to my early childhood.

0:20:18 > 0:20:21I don't ever not remember... it not being there.

0:20:21 > 0:20:24I think we need to get some out to then have another look.

0:20:24 > 0:20:26- Can we do that?- Yeah. - Yeah. Let's go get some help.- Yeah.

0:20:28 > 0:20:31While Tim's clearing out the first of David's donations,

0:20:31 > 0:20:35I've also stumbled across and Aladdin's Cave around Will's.

0:20:35 > 0:20:39This is a laser level...for DIY.

0:20:39 > 0:20:42This is actually professional grade.

0:20:42 > 0:20:46A laser level projects a beam of light up or along a wall,

0:20:46 > 0:20:49making it useful for DIY jobs like putting up shelves.

0:20:49 > 0:20:52It's a smart bit of kit, and is worth £50.

0:20:52 > 0:20:54This clips on there...

0:20:54 > 0:20:55- Yeah. - I should have put that on first.

0:20:55 > 0:20:58- And then that... - OK, that drops down the pole.- Yeah.

0:20:58 > 0:20:59And then that sits on there,

0:20:59 > 0:21:02and it spins around and casts a laser all around the room.

0:21:02 > 0:21:04Brilliant. Thank you very much.

0:21:04 > 0:21:06Have you heard of a lady called Kizzy?

0:21:06 > 0:21:07- Oh, Kizzy Morrell?- Yeah.

0:21:07 > 0:21:09Yeah, she's brilliant. Great singer.

0:21:09 > 0:21:11Great entertainer. Character.

0:21:11 > 0:21:14- Bristol character. - She's got a great personality.

0:21:14 > 0:21:16- She has, hasn't she? Yeah. - Yeah. Brilliant.

0:21:16 > 0:21:19- And you can have that, as well. - Thank you. One high hat stand.

0:21:19 > 0:21:21A high hat's part of a drum kit.

0:21:21 > 0:21:23This stand's worth £30.

0:21:23 > 0:21:25Cheeseboard kind of thing?

0:21:25 > 0:21:27We'll take it. We'll put that on our bric-a-brac stall.

0:21:27 > 0:21:28There is a bit of olive wood.

0:21:28 > 0:21:31Olive wood makes decorative, tough chopping boards.

0:21:31 > 0:21:33This should make £5.

0:21:33 > 0:21:35- There you are.- Look at that. There we go.- There you go.

0:21:35 > 0:21:37- Oh!- Brilliant.- Do you know what? You've been a real star.

0:21:37 > 0:21:39- Thank you.- All the best.

0:21:39 > 0:21:43Back at David's, Tim's checking out another of his donations -

0:21:43 > 0:21:45this lovely '50s cabinet.

0:21:45 > 0:21:46It just screams retro.

0:21:46 > 0:21:50My favourite thing, by far, is these legs.

0:21:50 > 0:21:52Real bit of style, bit of class to it.

0:21:52 > 0:21:55The big question, have we got the shelf?

0:21:55 > 0:21:57Unfortunately, the shelf came to a sticky end...

0:21:57 > 0:21:58- Uh-huh.- ..some time ago.

0:21:58 > 0:22:01If this travelled from house to house, it's going to happen.

0:22:01 > 0:22:03But this is a very cool, stylish piece.

0:22:03 > 0:22:05This is absolutely fantastic.

0:22:05 > 0:22:06I'm really excited.

0:22:06 > 0:22:08And with that fantastic donation,

0:22:08 > 0:22:11our rummage day has come to an end on a high note.

0:22:15 > 0:22:18But which of us has managed to dig out the most items?

0:22:20 > 0:22:21You've had a brilliant day.

0:22:21 > 0:22:24- I haven't done too well, as you can see!- No.

0:22:24 > 0:22:26- TV stand.- Yeah.

0:22:26 > 0:22:28High hat stand for a drummer.

0:22:28 > 0:22:30Big Ted, which is great.

0:22:30 > 0:22:31But look what you've got!

0:22:31 > 0:22:33I know!

0:22:33 > 0:22:35- Bit of work to be done. - I think we can upcycle that.

0:22:35 > 0:22:37I think three colours.

0:22:37 > 0:22:38That'll look really, really good.

0:22:38 > 0:22:41We'll sand it down and paint it.

0:22:41 > 0:22:43Ercol Chairs. Great name.

0:22:43 > 0:22:46- Great name. I mean, it's 20th century modern, isn't it?- Exactly.

0:22:46 > 0:22:48Auction rooms are desperate to get their hands on Ercol at the moment.

0:22:48 > 0:22:50So let's get into the saleroom.

0:22:50 > 0:22:53- Sled.- I thought you'd like that. - That's really nice.- Yeah.

0:22:53 > 0:22:55I'll sell that on the pop-up rostrum.

0:22:55 > 0:22:58That's sort of 1920s, 1930s.

0:22:58 > 0:22:59- Love the ironwork.- Yes.

0:22:59 > 0:23:01That was a little kid's sled.

0:23:01 > 0:23:02- Love that cabinet!- Yeah.

0:23:02 > 0:23:04I think we'll sell that on the pop-up rostrum.

0:23:04 > 0:23:06- I was going to say, I agree.- Yeah.

0:23:06 > 0:23:07That's really nice.

0:23:07 > 0:23:09- Yeah.- It's compact,

0:23:09 > 0:23:11but because it's got that sort of box on those legs,

0:23:11 > 0:23:14it says, "Look at me, look how important I look."

0:23:14 > 0:23:16- That's it!- And that sums up the '50s, doesn't it?

0:23:16 > 0:23:18- Yeah, it's proper retro. - It really does.

0:23:18 > 0:23:21So, we'll send the Ercol chairs to our saleroom auction.

0:23:21 > 0:23:24We'll upcycle the chest of drawers and the dressing table,

0:23:24 > 0:23:26and everything else, we'll sell on our pop-up auction

0:23:26 > 0:23:28and at our bric-a-brac stalls.

0:23:28 > 0:23:30I have to say, Tim, fantastic.

0:23:30 > 0:23:32- Yeah, thank you.- Hands up, you know.

0:23:32 > 0:23:34- You're the man.- It was a good day.

0:23:34 > 0:23:36- You're the man.- It was a good day.

0:23:36 > 0:23:37High five!

0:23:37 > 0:23:38Come on.

0:23:41 > 0:23:43It's the day of our street auction.

0:23:43 > 0:23:45We've only got a few hours until we open for business.

0:23:48 > 0:23:51And we've got a stage to erect, stalls to set up,

0:23:51 > 0:23:54and a street to transform into a street party.

0:23:56 > 0:23:58Look at this! In a few hours' time,

0:23:58 > 0:24:02this will be a throng full of people enjoying themselves,

0:24:02 > 0:24:04spending money, having a good time.

0:24:04 > 0:24:07There's going to be such a vibe here.

0:24:07 > 0:24:11This has got all the ingredients of a great street party, believe me.

0:24:12 > 0:24:14And one more key ingredient is bric-a-brac -

0:24:14 > 0:24:16and we've got stacks of the stuff.

0:24:16 > 0:24:19You could furnish your house with what we've got to sell -

0:24:19 > 0:24:21and decorate it, too.

0:24:21 > 0:24:25To help us shift it, we've recruited a band of local helpers.

0:24:25 > 0:24:28Yeah, that's it. Now you're in the team.

0:24:28 > 0:24:29- Morning, everyone.- Hello.

0:24:29 > 0:24:30Thank you for helping us out.

0:24:30 > 0:24:34I can see you've already met Tim, great to see you, Victoria. Hello!

0:24:34 > 0:24:36We've got a lot of bric-a-brac, we've got a lot of furniture.

0:24:36 > 0:24:37Everything must go.

0:24:37 > 0:24:40We do not want to go home with this at the end of the day.

0:24:40 > 0:24:42So, sell with a big smile, OK?

0:24:42 > 0:24:45Everything is £2 and £1, or 50p.

0:24:45 > 0:24:46Just give people change back

0:24:46 > 0:24:48and hopefully they'll spend the change

0:24:48 > 0:24:49on the teas, coffees and cakes.

0:24:49 > 0:24:51Because that's where the money's going to be today.

0:24:51 > 0:24:53Get selling, and have fun, OK?

0:24:53 > 0:24:54Let's make this work.

0:24:54 > 0:24:55- Come on!- Go on, guys, let's do it!

0:24:55 > 0:24:58- Come on!- Yay!- Whoo!

0:24:58 > 0:25:00- ALL:- One, two, three... Easton!

0:25:02 > 0:25:05The volunteers go straight to work getting the bric-a-brac priced up,

0:25:05 > 0:25:09while Tim makes himself useful putting up the pop-up rostrum.

0:25:13 > 0:25:15Put it there.

0:25:15 > 0:25:17Meanwhile, performers have started arriving.

0:25:19 > 0:25:21Wow, your hands hardly moved!

0:25:21 > 0:25:23Well, how about that?! That was brilliant.

0:25:23 > 0:25:26- Are you helping out as well? - Oh, I'm the dancer.

0:25:26 > 0:25:28- One of the dancers.- Yeah. - OK, dancing to this?

0:25:28 > 0:25:29Dancing to Richard's drumming?

0:25:29 > 0:25:30It is so very good. Yeah, I can try that.

0:25:30 > 0:25:32Go on, give us a few moves.

0:25:32 > 0:25:35The problem is my back is hurting, so...

0:25:38 > 0:25:40In such a creative corner of the city,

0:25:40 > 0:25:42and with our musical guests,

0:25:42 > 0:25:46we've pulled out all the stops with the entertainment today.

0:25:46 > 0:25:48- Teach me something. - Teach you something?

0:25:48 > 0:25:50OK, let's start with something nice and simple, then.

0:25:50 > 0:25:53So, hold the hula hoop at the bottom, like so.

0:25:53 > 0:25:55Yeah, hand on the inside.

0:25:55 > 0:25:57And then, what you're going to do is open your hand out into an L shape,

0:25:57 > 0:26:00and let the hoop rock over one side.

0:26:00 > 0:26:03- Oh, I see.- To the side. And then, it will spin round on your hand.

0:26:03 > 0:26:04There we go!

0:26:04 > 0:26:06Yeah!

0:26:06 > 0:26:07OK. And how do you stop it?

0:26:08 > 0:26:11Street art is a big part of the Bristol scene,

0:26:11 > 0:26:14and this father and son duo, Keane and Dondy,

0:26:14 > 0:26:17are here to create some magic.

0:26:17 > 0:26:20It's given me an idea for some upcycling, Bristol style.

0:26:21 > 0:26:24Could you turn that around into something quite special,

0:26:24 > 0:26:26full of colour and graffiti? Which says...

0:26:26 > 0:26:27- Yeah.- Which says "Bristol",

0:26:27 > 0:26:29which says, "Yeah, this is the city of culture."

0:26:29 > 0:26:31- Could you do that? - Yeah.- Could you do that?

0:26:31 > 0:26:32I could probably do that.

0:26:32 > 0:26:35Well, looking at that, it's so tatty, we'd never sell that,

0:26:35 > 0:26:39but with those guys working on it, my problems are now solved.

0:26:39 > 0:26:40We'll turn that into money.

0:26:44 > 0:26:46And it looks like everything's falling into place.

0:26:48 > 0:26:50Ooh...

0:26:50 > 0:26:52- Oh, no...- It's split.

0:26:52 > 0:26:55- Oh, dear.- Look at that.

0:26:55 > 0:26:57- Do you know who put this together? - Yeah, I do.

0:26:57 > 0:26:59- Me.- Oh!

0:26:59 > 0:27:00Yeah.

0:27:00 > 0:27:02- It's repairable, we can repair it. - Yeah, we can fix it.

0:27:02 > 0:27:05- We can repair it. We just need a screwdriver.- Yeah, yeah.

0:27:05 > 0:27:07It's not long until the party opens, and without the rostrum,

0:27:07 > 0:27:11I'm going to be stuck. Luckily, I've had a bit of carpentry experience,

0:27:11 > 0:27:16and if a screwdriver doesn't do it, good old gaffer tape will.

0:27:16 > 0:27:17And the final touch...

0:27:20 > 0:27:24That's good. Time for a progress check on the stalls.

0:27:24 > 0:27:25Rose, it's looking great.

0:27:25 > 0:27:26- Thank you.- It really is.

0:27:26 > 0:27:29Hopefully, more will arrive throughout the day.

0:27:29 > 0:27:31Apple pie.

0:27:31 > 0:27:33Do you know what? It's making me feel hungry!

0:27:33 > 0:27:36What have we got here? Let's have a check through these.

0:27:36 > 0:27:39Wow, we're going through the vinyl revival at the moment.

0:27:39 > 0:27:43Everybody wants vinyl - just the fact that now you can get records

0:27:43 > 0:27:45in major supermarkets says it all.

0:27:45 > 0:27:48If they're selling it, it means people are buying it.

0:27:48 > 0:27:51The first seven inch singles were introduced in 1949.

0:27:51 > 0:27:55Rare ones from the '60s and '70s can be worth thousands.

0:27:55 > 0:27:56So, if you can find originals,

0:27:56 > 0:27:58they can be worth some serious money.

0:27:58 > 0:28:02This is one of David Bowie's earliest singles, from 1967.

0:28:02 > 0:28:06In a specialist shop, it could set you back £5 to £20.

0:28:06 > 0:28:08That is definitely the best one in there.

0:28:08 > 0:28:11Obviously, sad that David Bowie has passed,

0:28:11 > 0:28:13but it makes his items more collectable,

0:28:13 > 0:28:14more current at the moment.

0:28:14 > 0:28:17I'm going to put that at the very front of the box,

0:28:17 > 0:28:19because I think it will draw some attention.

0:28:19 > 0:28:20There is David Bowie in there,

0:28:20 > 0:28:23they might think there's other gems from the '60s,

0:28:23 > 0:28:25and I think some of them will want that in their record box

0:28:25 > 0:28:26by the end of today.

0:28:28 > 0:28:30Now, remember the unloved chest of drawers Tim found

0:28:30 > 0:28:32on our rummage day?

0:28:32 > 0:28:35Look at it now. We gave it to our upcycling queen Irina

0:28:35 > 0:28:37to work her magic.

0:28:37 > 0:28:41Bristol is famous for its bright, massive, colourful balloons.

0:28:41 > 0:28:43I always see them flying in the sky.

0:28:43 > 0:28:46So I'm going to put a gorgeous stencil, really colourful.

0:28:46 > 0:28:48I'm going to go for it on the side, here.

0:28:48 > 0:28:51And then, I always associate Bristol with Banksy,

0:28:51 > 0:28:55so I'm going to put one of my favourite pictures that he does,

0:28:55 > 0:28:57a girl with a balloon. Perfect.

0:28:58 > 0:29:00Irina has done a brilliant job.

0:29:00 > 0:29:05We've got the balloons on the side, and a little nod to Banksy.

0:29:05 > 0:29:08So how much will we get?

0:29:08 > 0:29:09Well, I'm not sure,

0:29:09 > 0:29:13but an awful lot more than we would have done in its original condition.

0:29:13 > 0:29:16This chest should be one of the stars of my auction later,

0:29:16 > 0:29:19hopefully helping us towards our target.

0:29:19 > 0:29:21But we're going to need the street full of people

0:29:21 > 0:29:23before we can get the party started.

0:29:23 > 0:29:25Could you just put this on the outside of the door

0:29:25 > 0:29:29- for the next few hours?- OK. - And direct people down that alley.

0:29:29 > 0:29:30- Through that alleyway, just there. - Thank you.

0:29:30 > 0:29:33There is a basket, there is a bicycle...

0:29:34 > 0:29:36And I'm not the only one drumming up support.

0:29:36 > 0:29:39THEY DRUM AND SING

0:29:51 > 0:29:55There's a party inside, come in, everyone!

0:29:56 > 0:30:01And the hard work's paying off, as the partygoers begin to arrive.

0:30:01 > 0:30:04Tyrell, Angel, how you doing?

0:30:04 > 0:30:06- Thank you for coming down. - All right!- Thanks for coming down.

0:30:06 > 0:30:09- How have you been? - Been really good.

0:30:09 > 0:30:11- Yeah?- Good.- Been rehearsing?

0:30:11 > 0:30:12- Yes.- Down the studio?

0:30:12 > 0:30:14Yeah, trying to bite my tongue from not telling Kizzy the surprise.

0:30:14 > 0:30:16Oh, I bet, I bet! How's it going with her?

0:30:16 > 0:30:18- Hasn't got a clue?- She doesn't know.

0:30:18 > 0:30:21- She still thinks it's a community street party.- Ooh, bless Kizzy!

0:30:21 > 0:30:23- She should be turning up any minute, shouldn't she?- Yeah.

0:30:23 > 0:30:24And she is going on stage.

0:30:24 > 0:30:26She did promise she'd go on stage.

0:30:26 > 0:30:28- Are you going onstage?- Yeah.

0:30:28 > 0:30:30Cool, man, that's really good.

0:30:30 > 0:30:32And, right on cue, Kizzy's here -

0:30:32 > 0:30:36our VIP guest, who is unaware that all of this is for her.

0:30:36 > 0:30:39She's brought her daughter and sister along, too,

0:30:39 > 0:30:41and the community's turned out in force -

0:30:41 > 0:30:43we've got an amazing crowd.

0:30:43 > 0:30:46And it's time to get this street party started.

0:30:46 > 0:30:48So, let's get it off. Five...

0:30:48 > 0:30:51- ALL:- ..four, three...- Good luck!

0:30:51 > 0:30:53- ..two, one... - We're going to need it.

0:30:53 > 0:30:55ALL CHEER

0:31:08 > 0:31:09There's great stuff on the stalls -

0:31:09 > 0:31:13let's start selling, and try and raise our target of £700.

0:31:15 > 0:31:18Even the Lord Mayor's after a bargain.

0:31:20 > 0:31:22Today is turning out to be everything I'd hoped for.

0:31:23 > 0:31:25It's fun for everyone, and the money's coming in.

0:31:29 > 0:31:32If you can round that up to a pound...?

0:31:32 > 0:31:34And what will you throw in for a pound?

0:31:34 > 0:31:36- A big smile.- Yes!

0:31:36 > 0:31:39- No problem at all.- No, I like this.

0:31:39 > 0:31:40- There you go.- I like this.

0:31:40 > 0:31:43What a fantastic start to the street party.

0:31:43 > 0:31:46There really is such a cracking atmosphere here.

0:31:46 > 0:31:49Already, it literally is only just five minutes in.

0:31:49 > 0:31:51A lot of people have turned up -

0:31:51 > 0:31:54I just hope they start digging deep into their pockets,

0:31:54 > 0:31:56and start spending money.

0:31:56 > 0:31:58This isn't just a street party,

0:31:58 > 0:32:00this is our very own mini carnival -

0:32:00 > 0:32:04but we've set ourselves a big target, of £700.

0:32:04 > 0:32:08Luckily, everybody here is 100% behind the cause.

0:32:08 > 0:32:10Yeah, I've known Kizzy for a while, she's a wonderful lady.

0:32:10 > 0:32:14Does a lot for the local kids in the area, and is a fantastic singer,

0:32:14 > 0:32:15- as you will see later. - Really?!

0:32:15 > 0:32:16I think she's going to sing a song.

0:32:16 > 0:32:19- I didn't know that. - She knows that, but that's about it.

0:32:19 > 0:32:21- She definitely doesn't know, does she?- No, she doesn't know,

0:32:21 > 0:32:23but apparently, earlier, she said...

0:32:23 > 0:32:25I heard her saying, "There's been a funny vibe,

0:32:25 > 0:32:28"a funny energy for a few weeks, I don't know what it is."

0:32:28 > 0:32:29Can this lovely lady...

0:32:29 > 0:32:32- Yeah?- ..get up on the stage? Because she said to me,

0:32:32 > 0:32:34when we were rummaging her house...

0:32:34 > 0:32:35- Yeah.- ..that she's a singer.

0:32:35 > 0:32:37- Yes, she is, yeah.- Go on, please? - Mm-mm. All right.

0:32:37 > 0:32:39- Ready?- Yay, great!

0:32:39 > 0:32:42Right, I'm going to sing a little something for you.

0:32:42 > 0:32:43It's a gospel track,

0:32:43 > 0:32:45so I'm dedicating this to everyone.

0:32:45 > 0:32:47Doesn't matter whether you're religious or not,

0:32:47 > 0:32:49I just want to sing you the song, so...

0:32:49 > 0:32:52Here it goes.

0:32:52 > 0:32:57# Jesus, how I love you

0:32:57 > 0:32:59# Saviour

0:32:59 > 0:33:04# I'll sing your praises, O Lord

0:33:04 > 0:33:07# I love you. #

0:33:13 > 0:33:14Well, well, well!

0:33:14 > 0:33:16Wasn't expecting that.

0:33:16 > 0:33:17Kizzy, that was amazing.

0:33:17 > 0:33:18- Was that all right?- Yeah!

0:33:18 > 0:33:20That was better than all right, wasn't it?!

0:33:20 > 0:33:21It was a bit special.

0:33:22 > 0:33:26Everyone is having a great time, but this is all about raising money.

0:33:26 > 0:33:29The Ercol chairs that Tim found on the rummage day

0:33:29 > 0:33:30have been sent to a saleroom auction.

0:33:32 > 0:33:34They could make up to £50,

0:34:25 > 0:34:26Thank you! So, that's for you.

0:34:26 > 0:34:28- I'll give that to you, look. - Can you hold that?

0:34:28 > 0:34:30- Is that too heavy?- What do you think, have you got it?

0:34:30 > 0:34:34Well, that is it. The stalls are now officially closed.

0:34:34 > 0:34:36That is it, we have to stop selling -

0:34:36 > 0:34:38which means we can now start counting the money.

0:34:40 > 0:34:42Adding up our takings so far,

0:34:42 > 0:34:44we've raised nearly £300...

0:34:44 > 0:34:46which is great progress,

0:34:46 > 0:34:49but it still leaves me with 400 to make on the rostrum,

0:34:49 > 0:34:51and that's a big ask.

0:34:53 > 0:34:55Our first lot is the 1930s wooden sled.

0:34:55 > 0:34:57It's got to be worth £20.

0:34:59 > 0:35:01It's oak, retro, it's got the look -
