:00:15. > :00:23.Hello and welcome to the one show in the Queen Vic. We're kicking off the

:00:24. > :00:27.big Children in Need night for 2015 and for the third year in a row,

:00:28. > :00:32.we've set up shop or maybe I should say pub, here in Walford. It's

:00:33. > :00:36.karaoke night at the Vic. Pudsey's doing the YMCA. And lots more famous

:00:37. > :00:42.faces will be stepping up to that mic as the show progresses. Now, our

:00:43. > :00:47.heroes, Team Rickshaw have cycled nearly 500 miles. They will be

:00:48. > :00:52.arriving here later tonight. I'll be in "Cindy's Caff"having a chaff with

:00:53. > :00:59.their parents at the end of what's been a really long week. The pub is

:01:00. > :01:06.packed with celebs. We have got Nadine Coyle, file file file, Andre

:01:07. > :01:15.-- Shane Filan, Peter Andre and Years, wetting their whistle.

:01:16. > :01:20.Want to buy a Warwick Davis D-Day. Willow, Leprechaun or a sneak peek

:01:21. > :01:26.at tonight's Star Wars exclusive. Keep Willow, but we'll have the Star

:01:27. > :01:29.Wars exclusive. You've got it love. Over here, the lovely Ellie

:01:30. > :01:31.Goulding. APPLAUSE

:01:32. > :01:35.Lovely to see you. How are you? Very well, thank you. Very good. You

:01:36. > :01:40.know, Queen Vic. It's known for murder. Fights, romance. All sorts,

:01:41. > :01:46.yeah. Thinking about romance, it holds some really fond memories for

:01:47. > :01:49.you, doesn't it? I sort of met my boyfriend here, weirdly. We haven't

:01:50. > :01:54.been in EastEnders. Yeah, he's around somewhere in the background.

:01:55. > :01:59.We met here. It was on this show two years ago, you and Dougy happened to

:02:00. > :02:03.be here. And that was it. I eyed him out from across the pub basically

:02:04. > :02:07.and that was it, yeah. Very nice. You are performing on the main show

:02:08. > :02:12.tonight. Yeah. New album out last week. What single are you doing

:02:13. > :02:16.tonight? Tonight a song called Army which I wrote about my best friend.

:02:17. > :02:20.I haven't performed it on TV or anything before. I'm excited and

:02:21. > :02:24.happy to be here. It's very exciting. I'm looking forward to it.

:02:25. > :02:29.Thanks Ellie. We have our own band of brothers and sisters on the road.

:02:30. > :02:33.They are Team Rickshaw. They've raised so much money. I'm sure,

:02:34. > :02:38.yeah. Very cool. Fantastic job. Our viewers, as always, you've been so

:02:39. > :02:42.generous, both financially and emotionally. These three ladies have

:02:43. > :02:48.been very generous, donated lots of money. We've got June, Louise and

:02:49. > :02:53.Rebecca here. June, you actually met up with Team Rickshaw before they

:02:54. > :02:59.even started. Yes in Land's End. 50 quid got you a selfie with Matt

:03:00. > :03:02.Baker! Absolutely. Did you ever think that last week, a week

:03:03. > :03:06.down-the-line, you'd be in the Queen Vic? Absolutely not. Isn't this

:03:07. > :03:11.brilliant? It's fantastic. It's quite quiet in here for a pub. I

:03:12. > :03:19.think everybody's a bit nervous. Louise, what about you? You've

:03:20. > :03:24.raised ?500. Not me personally. I work at Oak Manor Golf Club in

:03:25. > :03:28.Taunton. The customers raised ?500. We were lucky announce have a selfie

:03:29. > :03:35.with Elliott and George. There it is. Are you an EastEnders fan? Yes.

:03:36. > :03:39.Not an avid fan, I watch, but not all the time. You've already got the

:03:40. > :03:46.drinks in. Is that real beer? I'd like to think it is. Give it a

:03:47. > :03:54.smell? It is. I'm not sure it is. We're not sure. Shame! Rebecca, you

:03:55. > :03:57.organised a Hallowe'en party and raised ?50, why did you choose to do

:03:58. > :04:06.that then, what was the idea behind it? It was because you wanted to

:04:07. > :04:11.give something back because you'd seen Team Rickshaw. You're a big

:04:12. > :04:16.EastEnders fan. We know that. Yeah I watch all the time. A little bird

:04:17. > :04:20.told me that you quite liked Alfie Moon, is that right? Yes. And Lady

:04:21. > :04:25.Di the dog? Yes. We'll see what we can do in terms of hooking you up

:04:26. > :04:32.with those later. OK? Yeah. All right. As I said, our viewers have

:04:33. > :04:36.been incredibly generous. Team Rickshaw are nearly at the end of

:04:37. > :04:44.their journey. This morning, they still had another 60 miles to go.

:04:45. > :04:53.It's the final day of our gruelling challenge. We've had highs... Lows.

:04:54. > :05:03.I miss you. And unwaivering support along the way. His Thames Pudsey.

:05:04. > :05:07.And the end is in sight. How are you feeling about this? Excited. But I'm

:05:08. > :05:12.sad as well. When you think all those miles are now behind you. I

:05:13. > :05:18.know. That's mad, hey? You'll never have to worry about another hill

:05:19. > :05:23.again. I know! Erin who wakes up daily in agony from her arthritis

:05:24. > :05:28.has been surprisingly helped by the rickshaw in ways we never imagined.

:05:29. > :05:34.My knee's normally really swollen. Since I've been cycling, it's never

:05:35. > :05:38.been so skinny. It's normally like a big balloon. Which must have come as

:05:39. > :05:42.a massive surprise to you. I thought it was going to make it so much

:05:43. > :05:48.worse, but it's actually not. Probably keep that up when I get

:05:49. > :05:55.back. Yeah, yeah. George Griffiths from Richmond is a big lover of

:05:56. > :05:59.musical theatre. I am directing a new musical which doesn't exist,

:06:00. > :06:04.which now it does, rickshaw the musical. I'd like Michael Ball to

:06:05. > :06:06.play me. LAUGHTER

:06:07. > :06:09.His passage during the week has not only been musical, but full of

:06:10. > :06:21.drama. Shall we stop again? Yeah? Yeah. And sometimes even full of

:06:22. > :06:25.surprises. Hi George, it's Michael Ball here. How's the rickshaw

:06:26. > :06:31.musical going. I might sing it myself. Go Team Rickshaw! Whoa.

:06:32. > :06:36.That's Michael Ball, man. Thanks Michael. With a musical spring in

:06:37. > :06:41.his step, George rode out this morning head held high. It's great,

:06:42. > :06:46.I mean, I love being part of this. I've had a great time cycling beside

:06:47. > :06:53.you. Thanks, Matt. Do you feel it's helped you in any way doing this? It

:06:54. > :06:59.really has. It's given my confidence back. All my gang, all my teachers

:07:00. > :07:04.and friends, they are so proud of me. You've proved to yourself that

:07:05. > :07:14.you can do stuff. Yeah, I really can. In life. I am strong. I nailed

:07:15. > :07:19.it. You did. As we near London, Team Rickshaw will take the challenge to

:07:20. > :07:23.a whole new level. About 196 feet below the ground to be precise.

:07:24. > :07:29.There's a part of the route that isn't on the map. Yeah? That's

:07:30. > :07:35.because it hasn't been created yet. OK. We are going to cycle through

:07:36. > :07:45.the cross-rail tunnel. Is it safe? It's safe. Let's do it. The

:07:46. > :07:50.cross-rail project, which doesn't open until 2018, have invited us to

:07:51. > :07:56.cycle through one of their tunnels. See ya! This is the way to get

:07:57. > :08:01.through London, I tell you. So exciting. I'll tell you what the

:08:02. > :08:05.weirdest experience is right now, it's the fact that we're cycling

:08:06. > :08:11.along and people aren't giving us money. And as we reach the end of

:08:12. > :08:16.the tunnel, the cross-rail workers don't let us down. Oh, thank you.

:08:17. > :08:23.Thank you so much. APPLAUSE For six courageous and

:08:24. > :08:27.inspiring young riders, this year's Rickshaw Challenge has been a

:08:28. > :08:32.magnificent experience. Their effort to raise money for Children in Need

:08:33. > :08:37.has to be applauded, all of Team Rickshaw is extremely greatful for

:08:38. > :08:42.your Jen -- grateful for your generosity and support along the

:08:43. > :08:48.way. Thank you so very much. They will complete that epic journey

:08:49. > :08:54.of 477 miles from Land's End to the East End on the Children in Need

:08:55. > :08:58.main show at around 9. 35pm. Let's give them one last final push.

:08:59. > :09:01.Here's Elliott with how you can donate.

:09:02. > :09:18.To donate ?5 text TEAM to 70705. Those texts cost your donation plus

:09:19. > :09:21.the standard network message charge. All of your donation will go to BBC

:09:22. > :09:26.Children in Need. You must be 16 or over. Do ask the bill payer's

:09:27. > :09:32.permission before you text. For full terms and conditions, go to the

:09:33. > :09:34.website, bbc.co.uk/Pudsey. Just remember, everything you donate is

:09:35. > :09:35.helping very small charities in a remember, everything you donate is

:09:36. > :09:40.helping very small charities in a very big way. There it is for you.

:09:41. > :09:45.Now all our riders have been given an extra challenge to tell people

:09:46. > :09:48.why they are taking part in the Rickshaw Challenge this year. This

:09:49. > :09:54.is the moment George D stepped up to the microphone. After that, we'll

:09:55. > :10:00.catch up with Matt and the team. It's 8. 25 and you are with 5 Live

:10:01. > :10:05.breakfast... I am in BBC broadcast house. I'm about to go to BBC Radio

:10:06. > :10:09.5 Live to do my speech in front of quite a large audience for one of

:10:10. > :10:13.the breakfast shows. I am nervous and excited for it. I think that if

:10:14. > :10:17.I just focus on the fact that I'm speaking to a studio instead of

:10:18. > :10:22.millions of people across the nation, I think I'll be able to make

:10:23. > :10:26.it pretty good. Stand by. Gather round everyone. George, it's over to

:10:27. > :10:33.you. Thank you very much. My name is George. I'm 17. I'm from Weybridge

:10:34. > :10:36.in Surrey. Three years ago everything changed when my dad was

:10:37. > :10:40.killed in a cycling accident. My dad went out for one of his regular bike

:10:41. > :10:47.rides. However, this time, he didn't come home. He'd been knocked down by

:10:48. > :10:52.a car. At first, I found it hard to believe he was dead. I remember

:10:53. > :10:56.sitting alone and only thinking negative thoughts. Sometimes I would

:10:57. > :11:00.text my dad's phone to let him know that I loved him and missed him. I

:11:01. > :11:11.knew that there would be no reply, but I found it comforting. It has

:11:12. > :11:17.been the hardest three years. One thing that has helped to make life

:11:18. > :11:21.more positive was joining the Tommy D group. It's helped me come to

:11:22. > :11:25.terms with what's happened and helped shape the way I think, act

:11:26. > :11:29.and the way I am. Please donate if you can to help support young people

:11:30. > :11:34.like me. My dad was my role model and the most inspiring and

:11:35. > :11:37.intelligent person I'd ever known. I am riding the Rickshaw Challenge for

:11:38. > :11:47.Children in Need, but I'm also riding for him. I know that my dad

:11:48. > :11:50.will be proud. APPLAUSE

:11:51. > :11:55.That was amazing. That's it, perfect. George, everybody at home,

:11:56. > :11:58.I know we're walking down the road so you won't have seen that, we're

:11:59. > :12:02.watching your speech there on the radio. Sum that up for us. I think

:12:03. > :12:06.you had the biggest audience of everybody. I think Radio 5 Live was

:12:07. > :12:11.6. 1 million people, something like that. I think it it was an amazing

:12:12. > :12:16.experience. I had so much fun doing it. Beforehand I was so nervous. Of

:12:17. > :12:19.course. Halfway through I got to point where I just sat back and

:12:20. > :12:23.relaxed and smiled. I thought, hold on, this is so much fun. We're on

:12:24. > :12:29.the final straight now. Team, come on over. We need to talk. You know,

:12:30. > :12:36.goodness me, how do we sum up the week? It's virtually impossible.

:12:37. > :12:39.Elliott, come forward. I need to ask, right, what is the secret

:12:40. > :12:43.within this team, why do you think it's gelled so much? I think it's

:12:44. > :12:46.gelled because we're all so different, but it works with each

:12:47. > :12:50.other. It's amazing that we've all got something that has affected us

:12:51. > :12:54.in our lives and is still affecting us, but it helps us to get along

:12:55. > :13:00.with each other and understand each other's situations. Lucy, I know

:13:01. > :13:07.that you are delighted, aren't you, to be riding the final leg. Listen,

:13:08. > :13:15.if you think back, 476 miles ago. Yeah. What were you afraid of back

:13:16. > :13:21.then and have you conquered it now? I have. I was afraid of what was

:13:22. > :13:25.going to happen. I think I've conquered it because I know how to

:13:26. > :13:28.do it now. What would you say to all those people, at the moment,

:13:29. > :13:32.watching this, that haven't decided whether or not to donate yet.

:13:33. > :13:38.Donate, definitely donate because your money could help someone like

:13:39. > :13:44.me and the rest of the team too. I think it's a great thing to do. Get

:13:45. > :13:49.and donate in now. Listen, I cannot say how proud - George, everybody, I

:13:50. > :13:54.am so proud of everything that you have achieved over the last eight

:13:55. > :13:57.days. It's been a privilege for me to cycle alongside you. Team

:13:58. > :14:02.Rickshaw have done everything they possibly can and I know that they've

:14:03. > :14:07.stolen your hearts. I know that they have captivated you over the past

:14:08. > :14:12.week. And now, you know what, now it is your turn. It is your chance to

:14:13. > :14:18.give this inspirational bunch the total that they deserve when they

:14:19. > :14:22.walk out on that stage tonight. So, please, I'm asking you, from the

:14:23. > :14:26.bottom of my heart, donate, because this, to me, is what Children in

:14:27. > :14:30.Need is all about. They've been given an opportunity and they've

:14:31. > :14:35.taken it. That's all from us for now. Join us on the stage for

:14:36. > :14:39.Children in Need when hopefully they'll have a whopping tour. I'm

:14:40. > :14:45.sure they will. Couldn't have put it better myself. Matt has been such a

:14:46. > :14:48.wonderful and integral part of Rickshaw Challenge this year. I'm

:14:49. > :14:54.here with the parents, who have had a very long week as well as the

:14:55. > :14:57.riders themselves. Lisa, Erin's mum. From a parent's perspective, because

:14:58. > :15:03.you've got to know each other, how has it been for you guys? A total,

:15:04. > :15:08.emotional roller coaster for the whole family. One minute laughing

:15:09. > :15:13.and smiling with them. Then you're in tears every time you see her on

:15:14. > :15:20.the TV. You have to pinch yourself. We are crossing our fingers for that

:15:21. > :15:24.big total. Sarah, we saw George do his speech earlier on. You must have

:15:25. > :15:28.seen him grow into a young man over the course of the week. He's been

:15:29. > :15:31.one of the strongest riders. He's tackled all the hills. It's very

:15:32. > :15:35.poignant that he's riding the rickshaw as we heard. What changes

:15:36. > :15:40.have you then, as a mother, seen in him this week? I've seen a really

:15:41. > :15:44.determined young man, very brave and never giving up. Won't let anything

:15:45. > :15:49.get him down. I'm sure your husband would have been hugely proud of him.

:15:50. > :15:55.He'll be so proud of him, he'll be watching him. Over here to Michelle.

:15:56. > :16:00.All the families here have benefitted from Children in Need.

:16:01. > :16:04.What would you say to anybody who's watching tonight, who are in two

:16:05. > :16:09.minds maybe about donating? Well, please dig deep. These young people

:16:10. > :16:13.have really dug deep themselves. They've found inner strength when

:16:14. > :16:17.it's been pouring with rain, when they've been going through pain. So,

:16:18. > :16:21.please, just support the Rickshaw Challenge. They've done a fantastic

:16:22. > :16:27.job. Absolutely. We go over to see Mark, the other George's dad over

:16:28. > :16:30.here. We've been overwhelmed at the one show by the support of

:16:31. > :16:35.everybody's who's lined the streets and donated. Have you got a lovely

:16:36. > :16:39.message for people at home who have supported Team Rickshaw this year

:16:40. > :16:43.more than ever before. I cannot express the gratitude. We are

:16:44. > :16:48.totally overwhelmed, all of us as parents, totally overwhelmed.

:16:49. > :16:53.George, I mean, just shouts down the phone, "I can't believe it, dad!

:16:54. > :16:58.They're pushing money at me!" Yeah. Absolutely fantastic support. On

:16:59. > :17:02.behalf of the one show we couldn't have done it without the help of you

:17:03. > :17:07.parents as well to facilitate this, thank you very much. Making the

:17:08. > :17:11.coffee and sandwiches here is Peter Andre, who was with us on launch

:17:12. > :17:18.night. What would you like? An egg sandwich thanks. We've all been so

:17:19. > :17:21.inspired by these young people, who've just done, you know, amazing

:17:22. > :17:25.things this week and raised such a big total. What was your initial

:17:26. > :17:31.feelings when you met them the first time?

:17:32. > :17:38.It's just how passionate they are, how much they want to do this.

:17:39. > :17:41.That's what's so touching. You see people digging deep and like this

:17:42. > :17:51.gentleman said before, they are digging in deep soap we want people

:17:52. > :17:57.out there to dig in deep because we have seen the kids do it themselves.

:17:58. > :18:00.Well, we absolutely hope tonight that Children In Need will raise

:18:01. > :18:08.millions and millions. Here is Harry Heal telling us what antics he's

:18:09. > :18:15.going to get up to. -- Harry Hill. Without giving too much away, I'm

:18:16. > :18:19.rehearsing for Children In Need. I'm taking the history of TV and

:18:20. > :18:22.condensing it down into four minutes, using various cameo

:18:23. > :18:28.appearances plus the theme tune is from what we consider the most

:18:29. > :18:44.important TV shows ever to have been broadcast. BENNY HILL THEME. TV Burp

:18:45. > :18:50.didn't make it in actually, so I will write a letter. People would be

:18:51. > :18:58.surprised how little work... How much work, Surrey, goes into this...

:18:59. > :19:01.This is something the BBC does so well. It has the infrastructure that

:19:02. > :19:06.no other broadcaster has. Oh! I've just been handed a box with some

:19:07. > :19:11.props in that will give us a clue what to expect on Children In Need

:19:12. > :19:15.tonight. First of all, a top hat. I wonder what that could be, perhaps

:19:16. > :19:22.something going on in the East End of London. A baby in a sequinned

:19:23. > :19:32.dress. Can babies dance? Let's hope so! What's this? A torch... No, it's

:19:33. > :19:48.a light sabre. I wonder what film that comes from. Is it ET, or...? A

:19:49. > :19:57.leek, of course favoured by the Welsh, overlook, it is Rick Astley

:19:58. > :20:05.and Suzanne Shaw. Which is better? Only one way to find out. At last!

:20:06. > :20:11.Do you think I'm sexy? That's a clue.

:20:12. > :20:35.Well, if I'm Elton John, this is Kiki Dee,, Warwick Davis and Shane

:20:36. > :20:44.Ritchie. Warwick, nice to see you. It's been ages. Thank you. You are

:20:45. > :20:58.on the show more readily than I am! You have worked with Harry Hill

:20:59. > :21:04.before and Children In Need? Yes, it was fun, I got to play the piano

:21:05. > :21:10.with sausages. Harry is observed with sausages! I hope it has been in

:21:11. > :21:14.the fridge for a couple of years... I can't promise that, it has kind of

:21:15. > :21:21.been out there, don't worry about it though. Now then, this is exciting,

:21:22. > :21:28.Shane. Warwick has used his Jedi powers to get a Star Wars

:21:29. > :21:31.exclusive. Later on we have but a Star Wars sketch coming up featuring

:21:32. > :21:40.loads of a list celebrities. Martin Freeman is in there. Shane Ritchie?

:21:41. > :21:45.Not Shane! Disney has joined forces with Lucasfilm and Children In Need

:21:46. > :21:50.to make this happen. It is so special. Basically I'm on the quest

:21:51. > :22:00.to find the ultimate Star Wars super fan who can go on stage live and

:22:01. > :22:08.press the first totaliser moment. That is about 8:50pm. If I seem

:22:09. > :22:11.slightly sweaty at the moment it is because myself and the cast of

:22:12. > :22:15.EastEnders, we have just been rehearsing. Every year the

:22:16. > :22:19.EastEnders cast try and do something special and this year we have got an

:22:20. > :22:24.incredible dance routine. That's why I'm sweaty, I just been out

:22:25. > :22:31.rehearsing it. From Tenby, we flipped over to BBC Two and we are

:22:32. > :22:36.live in the Queen Vic with lots of special guests. -- from 10pm. Some

:22:37. > :22:42.very special faces will be here. Make sure you join me then. Now

:22:43. > :22:46.then, this is a very important announcement. Because, it's time to

:22:47. > :22:51.launch the official Children In Need donation line for this year. If you

:22:52. > :23:03.would like to donate, this is the number you will need.

:23:04. > :23:09.Some standard geographic charges from landline and mobile apply. That

:23:10. > :23:12.is the number if you want to donate tonight, it is that number that you

:23:19. > :23:24.Laura, Jack Ashton and Peter Andre back in the pub. Fed up with coffee

:23:25. > :23:36.and sandwiches, Peter? Well, I wanted to switch to this. Call the

:23:37. > :23:44.Midwife do Strictly tonight. Peter as we have seen is a dab hand at the

:23:45. > :23:52.whole Strictly thing. Pretend you are head judge Len. What sort of

:23:53. > :23:57.picks and flicks would you be looking for from Jack and Laura's

:23:58. > :24:02.performance? Honestly I'm the worst person to ask. I get so nervous

:24:03. > :24:07.before I go on. It was absolutely terrifying! I was like, this is

:24:08. > :24:12.Strictly and I'm trying to join in! You want to enjoy it but it is the

:24:13. > :24:16.most terrifying... It goes so quickly. When it does happen, the

:24:17. > :24:22.judges are nice and you just feel elated, don't you? When the judges

:24:23. > :24:27.are nice, yes! Peter is a very good person to get tips from because you

:24:28. > :24:34.achieved 38 out of 40 your Charleston. Couldn't believe it! It

:24:35. > :24:40.was the highest score of the series so far, wasn't it? I remember saying

:25:06. > :25:09.good at making you go over it and over it until you get it right. She

:25:10. > :25:17.is fantastic. One of the people you're up against is the lovely

:25:18. > :25:22.Helen George from The Midwife. We were just saying, you were just

:25:23. > :25:32.praising Helen. She is terrific and you are terrific and it is a great

:25:33. > :25:38.line-up. -- Call The Midwife. Do you think we could see Helen and Peter

:25:39. > :25:43.in the final? That would make Ashton and Jeanette happy, because they are

:25:51. > :25:57.forward to. Did you know that I was a qualified bus driver? No. But it's

:26:03. > :26:12.Here we are in Hyde Park. It is just gone 7am and all the other cars are

:26:32. > :26:40.for many things but driving a bus isn't one of them. Crawley, it's the

:26:41. > :26:47.halfway point and Chris has done his bit and now it's my turn. Well, I

:26:48. > :26:56.think I know what I'm doing, steering wheel, basics. Clutch,

:26:57. > :27:02.accelerator, starting button, horn. What more do you need? Ladies and

:27:03. > :27:10.gentlemen, it is my turn, so hold on! Unfortunately, I don't get off

:27:11. > :27:18.to the best of starts. My first corner and I'm stuck. No assisted

:27:19. > :27:21.steering on this bus! But Peter is here to save the day.

:28:21. > :28:25.for Children In Need. Now then. There will be a brand-new duet

:28:26. > :28:32.hitting the main stage later on. It is Nadine Coyle and Shane Filan. How

:29:03. > :29:10.sort of at home behind the bar? -- such a massive fan. Do you know your

:29:11. > :29:19.way around the pipes here? You have a bar in LA. Normally I had to ask

:29:20. > :29:20.people what is in that drink exactly, what kind of glass do you

:29:21. > :29:33.want? But they are in safe hands. Shane,

:29:34. > :29:42.you are on tour next year? I am, it is a tour all over the UK next
