0:00:17 > 0:00:18Hello and welcome to Monday's One Show.

0:00:18 > 0:00:19With Matt Baker.

0:00:19 > 0:00:22And Alex Jones.

0:00:22 > 0:00:25With the Beast from the East causing extreme weather across the UK,

0:00:25 > 0:00:29we hope everyone is staying safe and warm.

0:00:29 > 0:00:31Tonight, we welcome home some people who should be pretty

0:00:31 > 0:00:36used to the cold by now.

0:00:36 > 0:00:39Yesterday, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang came to an end.

0:00:39 > 0:00:45It was a Games to remember.

0:00:53 > 0:01:00Dom Parsons, unbelievably, has his medal! Come on, Great Britain!

0:01:00 > 0:01:07Super-clean. Great Britain's Isabel Atkin takes the Bronze.

0:01:07 > 0:01:09Christie tries to make it on the inside.

0:01:09 > 0:01:15Christie crashes out!

0:01:15 > 0:01:18Christie crashes out!Lizzy Yarnold, the first British athlete to

0:01:18 > 0:01:26successfully defend her Olympic title. And for Laura Deas, who

0:01:26 > 0:01:31dreamt of medals, she wins Bronze! Yes, yes, Billy Morgan with the

0:01:31 > 0:01:39double and triple! CHEERING.

0:01:39 > 0:01:41CHEERING.

0:01:41 > 0:01:44Having landed back in the UK only a few hours ago,

0:01:44 > 0:01:46let's welcome home some of the athletes who made this

0:01:46 > 0:01:51the most successful Winter Olympics ever for Great Britain.

0:01:51 > 0:01:59Two-time skeleton gold-medallist and history-maker Lizzy Yarnold.

0:01:59 > 0:02:02Also in skeleton, Olympic debutant and bronze medallist Laura Deas.

0:02:02 > 0:02:05CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:02:05 > 0:02:09The first Brit ever to win a medal in a skiing event, Izzy Atkin.

0:02:09 > 0:02:15CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:02:15 > 0:02:19And our flag-bearer for the closing ceremony, snowboarder Billy Morgan.

0:02:19 > 0:02:27CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:02:30 > 0:02:35Great to welcome, welcome! And a huge congratulations. Thank

0:02:35 > 0:02:39you for dropping in before even going home!

0:02:39 > 0:02:44Four of the five medallists here, Dom Parsons has gone on holiday,

0:02:44 > 0:02:50which is understandable. Would you say it is colder back here than it

0:02:50 > 0:02:53was in Pyeongchang?I cannot believe it was snowing so much when we

0:02:53 > 0:03:00arrived. It was a nice welcome home! It was so much colder. It feels like

0:03:00 > 0:03:08-26, it says on my phone.It is ridiculous, isn't it?We are ready

0:03:08 > 0:03:12for it, we are Winter athletes. The cold and the different time zones,

0:03:12 > 0:03:17it would be 4am now in Pyeongchang? Don't mention that!We all fall

0:03:17 > 0:03:23asleep here. All right over their eyes to mark yes, I am flagging a

0:03:23 > 0:03:26bit. You are holding a flag a couple of

0:03:26 > 0:03:32ideas ago, how do you some that up, bringing the most successful Games

0:03:32 > 0:03:34ever to close? It was amazing, I could not believe

0:03:34 > 0:03:39I was asked to do it. It was an honour close it.

0:03:39 > 0:03:43Did you know in advance you would be doing it?No, I was told in the

0:03:43 > 0:03:51morning. I woke up and they said, you can do it if you want! Wood

0:03:51 > 0:03:54glued to what you did come up looking forward having a good chat

0:03:54 > 0:04:02with you all tonight. And this is your chance to ask them anything you

0:04:02 > 0:04:07want to know. And we know that many have been glued to the Olympics

0:04:07 > 0:04:11coverage over the last fortnight so what questions have you been dying

0:04:11 > 0:04:14to ask this lot here? Or what message would you like to give them?

0:04:14 > 0:04:18Let's know why getting in touch at the usual address.

0:04:18 > 0:04:21The 17th of February 2018 is now known as 'Super Saturday',

0:04:21 > 0:04:24marking the day Lizzy, Laura and Izzy all won medals for Team GB.

0:04:24 > 0:04:30Here are some of the people who helped them to glory.

0:04:33 > 0:04:38We need the usual good start, can she get under 5.1 to give her a

0:04:38 > 0:04:42cracking shot at this? I saw the potential for Laura, like

0:04:42 > 0:04:46every athlete, they come in because they have something unique about

0:04:46 > 0:04:51them and Laura was no exception. She came from a completely different

0:04:51 > 0:04:54athlete population to any other on the programme, from horse riding and

0:04:54 > 0:04:59a question which has its own transfer ability to skeleton. And on

0:04:59 > 0:05:04the track, she was strong with a strong bearing in terms of the scope

0:05:04 > 0:05:07for future champions. Having seen her over the last 8-10

0:05:07 > 0:05:12years grow as an individual within the sport and as an athlete, gaining

0:05:12 > 0:05:15confidence in setting her own part of why she needs to go, and you can

0:05:15 > 0:05:21see she is someone who cares a lot about her performance. The team

0:05:21 > 0:05:30around her and making sure she gives back to everyone who supports her.

0:05:30 > 0:05:37Biggest run of her life. Starts now. When Isabel was younger,

0:05:37 > 0:05:43we used to go over and babysit. She has always been keen to do it and

0:05:43 > 0:05:49interested. Wanting to do the next thing that she could. We took her to

0:05:49 > 0:05:54a competition when she was about ten, 11, and she got a podium. We

0:05:54 > 0:05:59thought, she is in with a shout here.

0:05:59 > 0:06:04We were on a high when we realised she had won the medal, it was just

0:06:04 > 0:06:07amazing seeing her so pleased we had gone to support her.

0:06:07 > 0:06:14The youngest member of Team GB has a Bronze medal for her efforts.

0:06:14 > 0:06:17Congratulations, Isabel Atkin, her Olympic debut.

0:06:17 > 0:06:22We are just so proud of her, she has worked incredibly hard. The amount

0:06:22 > 0:06:27of training she has put in and her determination to do it, you know, we

0:06:27 > 0:06:34have got to respect her for that.

0:06:34 > 0:06:45My name is Mervyn and Lizzy kindly named her slight Mervyn.

0:06:45 > 0:06:49She was doing temp work at the firm I was working at at the time which

0:06:49 > 0:06:55was 2010. And that was when she was beginning the skeleton and was just

0:06:55 > 0:07:01leaving a bit extra out. I talked to her for a while about the sport

0:07:01 > 0:07:05generally and her ambitions and her determination came out very

0:07:05 > 0:07:10strongly. And I gave her and a bloke with the money she needed for the

0:07:10 > 0:07:15bit of equipment and it worked from there. -- I gave her an envelope

0:07:15 > 0:07:20with the money. As I helped Lizzy in her early years, she kindly put

0:07:20 > 0:07:26Mervyn on her slide. And I was very proud to have that.

0:07:26 > 0:07:31This could be at least silver for Lizzy Yarnold, she goes to the

0:07:31 > 0:07:33front! It shows you the character again,

0:07:33 > 0:07:37she is very rounded and she thinks of other people. Always wanting to

0:07:37 > 0:07:42give back. She was giving back to me in one way and she could do it when

0:07:42 > 0:07:46she gives back to a lot of schools with a lot of work and motivating

0:07:46 > 0:07:58the next generation. Lizzy Yarnold! Applause.

0:07:58 > 0:08:07A nice surprise, Laura. You nearly shed a tear.Nearly got me going.

0:08:07 > 0:08:11Having just got back to the UK, it is really nice to see some messages

0:08:11 > 0:08:16from friends and family and from the British public, it has been amazing.

0:08:16 > 0:08:21And a surprisingly relatives, Izzy. They told me they had done

0:08:21 > 0:08:25something, I did not realise to be on TV here, it was cute!

0:08:25 > 0:08:29We don't want you to feel left out, Billy, we do have a message for you

0:08:29 > 0:08:36from your girlfriend Emma Sammy. It is Sammy, I am so proud of you, I

0:08:36 > 0:08:40can't believe you are an Olympic medallist. We are watching you back

0:08:40 > 0:08:43in Southampton, everybody is so over the moon and we can't wait to have

0:08:43 > 0:08:49you back home. We were just touching on this as we

0:08:49 > 0:08:55went through that, Lizzy. There are so many volunteers and people so

0:08:55 > 0:09:00generous. So many members of the team just to get their to the start

0:09:00 > 0:09:04line, and I guess this is now your opportunity to say thank you and the

0:09:04 > 0:09:08fact that you have done it and to do your very best.

0:09:08 > 0:09:14Yes, it makes me quite emotional to think of all The National Lottery

0:09:14 > 0:09:16players, people who have bought Lottery tickets, they probably

0:09:16 > 0:09:21didn't realise they were helping me to train three times a day for eight

0:09:21 > 0:09:25years I have been working up to this when the Olympics. I just could not

0:09:25 > 0:09:29do it. I am on the track by myself but I certainly do not do it by

0:09:29 > 0:09:33myself. Where do you do the majority of your

0:09:33 > 0:09:36training, you and Laura? We are based at the University of

0:09:36 > 0:09:41Bath which has a great track facility but we do not have an ice

0:09:41 > 0:09:45track in the UK. All we do in the summit is just endless gym sessions

0:09:45 > 0:09:50and running sessions.I feel like we spend our entire life in the gym and

0:09:50 > 0:09:54we definitely see each other more than our own family and friends. We

0:09:54 > 0:09:57have been away since the end of September and only home for a couple

0:09:57 > 0:10:01of weeks. We have no ice track and a gold and

0:10:01 > 0:10:04Bronze Medallist. Do you go abroad and try it on ice

0:10:04 > 0:10:09before the event? When it is cold enough to make ice

0:10:09 > 0:10:14on the concrete track, they spray it with water and then we go abroad. It

0:10:14 > 0:10:18really is six runs of training, six minutes practice before a

0:10:18 > 0:10:21competition, and that is all you have. That is against the home

0:10:21 > 0:10:25advantage of an athlete who might have had 100 runs that season. We

0:10:25 > 0:10:30learn quickly and we work together. Let's look at the run you did, the

0:10:30 > 0:10:36winning run. We are at home watching the time going green and red and we

0:10:36 > 0:10:41can see when you go up and down, but going down the run, how were you of

0:10:41 > 0:10:47how good the run is going? If I am hitting the walls,

0:10:47 > 0:10:54definitely not! On the last run, I was trying to navigate around this

0:10:54 > 0:10:57strait between corner nine and 12 and I tapped the wall and we chatted

0:10:57 > 0:11:01with my coach, if I take the hit, stay aerodynamic and be positive it

0:11:01 > 0:11:07will be a good run. It is impossible to have a perfect run in the

0:11:07 > 0:11:10skeleton, you just try to make it as good as possible. As I came through

0:11:10 > 0:11:15the finish line, it did not feel quick. Usually, you feel the air

0:11:15 > 0:11:18passing your shoulders and you can tell it is a quick run, I was

0:11:18 > 0:11:23worried it was not good enough. You are not aware? Until you see the

0:11:23 > 0:11:27number. We were both waiting for Janine in first position, so that

0:11:27 > 0:11:33was extremely stressful! The most emotional thing in my life!

0:11:33 > 0:11:36Unbelievable you were both on the podium at the same time, best

0:11:36 > 0:11:41friends as well. We have a great picture of you both celebrating

0:11:41 > 0:11:46afterwards. One of the best pictures I have seen in a long time. Do you

0:11:46 > 0:11:52think it helped each other was competing? You said, Lizzy, you are

0:11:52 > 0:11:56not get there without Laura, do you feel the same?

0:11:56 > 0:12:00Absolutely, we came in at the same time, clueless 19, 20-year-olds. We

0:12:00 > 0:12:05have grown up together doing the sport. We have not always been on

0:12:05 > 0:12:08the same circuit or physically in the same place, at the same time,

0:12:08 > 0:12:12but we have both gone through the highs and lows of the sport. We both

0:12:12 > 0:12:17a good understanding of how great it feels when it goes well and how

0:12:17 > 0:12:21rubbish it can feel when you don't do well. We keep each other going.

0:12:21 > 0:12:25It is so important when you are away for months at a time, it is the same

0:12:25 > 0:12:28for you guys commit you are competitors on the track and friends

0:12:28 > 0:12:32away from the track and you support each other.

0:12:32 > 0:12:37You are both fine examples of sheer determination and you were given an

0:12:37 > 0:12:40opportunity. You will almost pick to have a go at best and you have an

0:12:40 > 0:12:45Olympic medal. I remember sitting in an early

0:12:45 > 0:12:48meeting after being selected and given a presentation about where

0:12:48 > 0:12:52this was going and being told, we think at least one person in this

0:12:52 > 0:12:55room will in an Olympic medal in the next two cycles and here we are!

0:12:55 > 0:13:02Amazing! It is incredible and Billy, we will get to you in a moment, and

0:13:02 > 0:13:08Izzy. We will indeed.

0:13:08 > 0:13:11We will indeed. Temperatures have plummeted with some areas set to get

0:13:11 > 0:13:14to minus 15. That is nothing to this lot! You can

0:13:14 > 0:13:16be sure the critters will be out tonight.

0:13:16 > 0:13:25Joe has been out with a couple of Night Riders fighting the tide of

0:13:25 > 0:13:29illegal fly-tipping. 9pm and the residents of Harrow

0:13:29 > 0:13:33settle in for the night and the Night Riders, Martin and his partner

0:13:33 > 0:13:37Clive, are on a shadowy flight into the messy world of illegally dumped

0:13:37 > 0:13:43waste. Together, they fight those who operate above the law.

0:13:43 > 0:13:49It is a 24 hour job clearing up the 18 tonnes of waste dumps daily on

0:13:49 > 0:13:52this borough's Street and I am joining Martin and Clive to see the

0:13:52 > 0:13:57scale of the problem myself. Illegal fly-tipping is a huge

0:13:57 > 0:14:01problem around the country. Last year, there were more than 1 million

0:14:01 > 0:14:04cases in England, arise for the fourth year running.

0:14:04 > 0:14:11How long have you been doing this? 15 years. I have been doing it a

0:14:11 > 0:14:19year. A year?Yes. OK, I got the impression you were an old hand,

0:14:19 > 0:14:22jutting out the route maps. Tell me about tonight, do you

0:14:22 > 0:14:26expect? Anything from a mattress to a

0:14:26 > 0:14:31fridge, black bags. Hopefully no hazardous waste. And if we get black

0:14:31 > 0:14:35bags, stuff like that, we will look through the bags to see if there is

0:14:35 > 0:14:40evidence. If we find any evidence, I will pass that to my team to

0:14:40 > 0:14:43investigate in the morning. Not long into the eight-hour shift

0:14:43 > 0:14:47and the team responds to reports from Wizard and is that waste on

0:14:47 > 0:14:50doors and furniture has been dumped in an alleyway. Sometimes the

0:14:50 > 0:14:58problem is so bad there is rubbish within rubbish.

0:15:02 > 0:15:09within rubbish. How bad is at the moment?We average around 17 - 18

0:15:09 > 0:15:16bags. We aim to clear them within 24-hour is.The round the hours

0:15:16 > 0:15:22operation is welcomed by residents like Leslie. How important is it? In

0:15:22 > 0:15:26my opinion, very because it starts with glittering and then you get

0:15:26 > 0:15:31graffiti. After graffiti, you get fires and then it leads to more

0:15:31 > 0:15:35anti-social behaviours. As they work into the night, Martin says he

0:15:35 > 0:15:38thinks part of the reason they are busier than ever is because of a

0:15:38 > 0:15:45rise in the number of houses of multiple occupancy, or H M oh.We've

0:15:45 > 0:15:54had 40 people in one house. Obviously, like a normal,

0:15:54 > 0:15:59three-bedroom house. We have enough bins for a normal family, not for 40

0:15:59 > 0:16:05people, so you also accumulate a lot more rubbish.The crew aren't just

0:16:05 > 0:16:09picking up rubbish. It is now 4am and they have spotted a lone bag of

0:16:09 > 0:16:13waste. They begin searching it to find clues as to who may have dumped

0:16:13 > 0:16:19it. While locals are topped up in bed, Martin is searching for

0:16:19 > 0:16:22letters, bank statement or packaging that will give them an address to

0:16:22 > 0:16:26work from. And he has hit the jackpot.I've actually found an

0:16:26 > 0:16:31address of where it has come from so I will have to leave this back here.

0:16:31 > 0:16:36I wonder how frustrating the Night Riders find the continual fight

0:16:36 > 0:16:40against fly-tippers. There is an argument that says if you keep

0:16:40 > 0:16:44clearing them up, then they will just keep coming. If someone deals

0:16:44 > 0:16:48with it and takes it away. But actually you can't win if you don't

0:16:48 > 0:16:52either, so you have to keep going. Yes, we just have to keep plodding

0:16:52 > 0:16:59on. And just keep clearing it and keeping the residents happy. It's

0:16:59 > 0:17:035am, and back at the depot, the Knight bus McCall is labour. It

0:17:03 > 0:17:09really is shocking, the amount of waste we have picked up from Sophos,

0:17:09 > 0:17:15mattresses, beds, lots of black bags and domestic waste, a couple of

0:17:15 > 0:17:20fridges. All of this just dumped on the street. Martin and Clive's shift

0:17:20 > 0:17:25comes to an end, and as the sun rises, it is time for the Council's

0:17:25 > 0:17:28investigations team to take over. Environmental compliance officer

0:17:28 > 0:17:32Andreas Holden is the man in charge of bringing the fly-tippers to

0:17:32 > 0:17:37justice through fines and prosecutions.I will be notified by

0:17:37 > 0:17:43the crew is downstairs of what we have found and the evidence. And six

0:17:43 > 0:17:46hours after the Night Riders discovered the bag of rubbish by a

0:17:46 > 0:17:51bus stop, Andreas has suspect. It is a load of correspondence, all

0:17:51 > 0:17:56addressed to the same address. Why bring the area down? You live here.

0:17:56 > 0:18:01And she does to slip down the road. Essentially, we will offer them the

0:18:01 > 0:18:06chance to pay the clear up cost or attend an interview under caution to

0:18:06 > 0:18:10tell us how the waste came to be here.So Andreas's message to

0:18:10 > 0:18:16fly-tippers...I will get you, eventually. We are hunting. We don't

0:18:16 > 0:18:20get you all the time and we want to get you every time, but we will get

0:18:20 > 0:18:34you.Big thanks to everybody who took part in that film.

0:18:36 > 0:18:40We guess that you were celebrating. So in what state did you leave the

0:18:40 > 0:18:44village?I think we were all right. We had to come back and do the media

0:18:44 > 0:18:48so we had to be sharp. We went straight to the closing ceremony as

0:18:48 > 0:18:53well.And then we then had to kind of stay awake because we were going

0:18:53 > 0:18:56on to the airport so it was a situation where we couldn't go to

0:18:56 > 0:19:02bed. We had to stay awake.I don't know how they -- I don't think they

0:19:02 > 0:19:07know how they left it.

0:19:09 > 0:19:13Izzy, you're also the youngest member of Team GB and the first ever

0:19:13 > 0:19:16Brit to win a skiing medal.

0:19:16 > 0:19:21You have also had the chance to try out for team USA, but at the age of

0:19:21 > 0:19:2515, you decided to try out for Team GB. How did you come to that

0:19:25 > 0:19:32conclusion, because you actually beat the US skiers in the final?I

0:19:32 > 0:19:35think it was first female skier to win a medal because there is a bit

0:19:35 > 0:19:44of a great area.Right.I just knew that I had dual nationality and I

0:19:44 > 0:19:48was talking to my father at the time and we went over to meet him and he

0:19:48 > 0:19:53knew that I was not merely as outspoken as some of the girls on

0:19:53 > 0:19:58the US team, so he thought maybe a smaller team come a close, smaller

0:19:58 > 0:20:03team would suit me, and obviously it has. I think the support has been

0:20:03 > 0:20:10amazing.So it is incredible. Well, it's worked well for us. And on

0:20:10 > 0:20:14Saturday, you won bronze, bringing our tally to five medals. Now, this

0:20:14 > 0:20:19was as big a surprise to you as anybody else, really, wasn't it?

0:20:19 > 0:20:24Yes, I definitely didn't go into the game is expecting a medal.And as we

0:20:24 > 0:20:28were just talking about there, that final trick, you had only landed it

0:20:28 > 0:20:34once before the Olympics?Yeah, we were training out on English year

0:20:34 > 0:20:41and it was one of the last chances I would have to try it. -- on a

0:20:41 > 0:20:47glacier. And if I got two ticks down, I would have been really happy

0:20:47 > 0:20:52and they were enough to get me a medal, so that is awesome. So how do

0:20:52 > 0:20:56you overcome the fear, then? Because you don't know how it's going to go.

0:20:56 > 0:21:02We were talking earlier on, in the Summer Olympics, no one is scared of

0:21:02 > 0:21:07running an long jump, are you guys? It is really scary, dangerous stuff.

0:21:07 > 0:21:10Combined with the competitiveness and all of that stress, but it is

0:21:10 > 0:21:17also...The fear factor.It is proper, dangerous stuff.I love the

0:21:17 > 0:21:21fact that when you talk to athletes who do other sports, everyone thinks

0:21:21 > 0:21:24that they are the only sane ones and that everyone else is mad. It

0:21:24 > 0:21:29doesn't matter who you talk to. Everyone thinks that they have made

0:21:29 > 0:21:32the right decision and everyone else is crazy. But to see all these guys

0:21:32 > 0:21:36doing their thing, it was cool. And to think of the respect you all have

0:21:36 > 0:21:40for each other. I know snowboarding in particular is one where you just

0:21:40 > 0:21:43stand back and you respect some people that are pushing themselves

0:21:43 > 0:21:49to these limits.Yes, it is pretty wild. We would say that we can't let

0:21:49 > 0:21:54the risks. We try and use that to push the few to the side, but it

0:21:54 > 0:21:58does have consequences if we get it wrong. But that is what we started

0:21:58 > 0:22:03doing the sport for, and we love it. That is why we do it.And as the

0:22:03 > 0:22:07oldest finalist in that final, I guess you thought it is all or

0:22:07 > 0:22:13nothing?It just hurts more from you. I keep getting reminded of my

0:22:13 > 0:22:21age.You're only 29. You're all right, honestly.Keeps happening.

0:22:21 > 0:22:23Between skiing, sledding, skating and skeleton-ing,

0:22:23 > 0:22:25the Winter Olympics showed there are many ways

0:22:25 > 0:22:26of getting from A to B.

0:22:26 > 0:22:34Emma Massingale's just found another.

0:22:34 > 0:22:38Wait till you see what she can do with board on wheels and

0:22:38 > 0:22:43a couple of ponies.

0:22:43 > 0:22:47I'm Emma Massingale. I have good horses all over the UK, but now I

0:22:47 > 0:22:51have decided to try something different. Come on. Let's go! I'm

0:22:51 > 0:22:54taking my two ponies back to their ancestral home in the Outer

0:22:54 > 0:23:02Hebrides. And for the next 20 days, my plan is to travel nearly 200

0:23:02 > 0:23:06miles from the south to the tip of Lewis and Harris in the north. We

0:23:06 > 0:23:11are trying something new. These ponies are too small for me to

0:23:11 > 0:23:14write, so to add excitement to the journey, had adopted a mountain

0:23:14 > 0:23:18board for them to pull me along. It is going to have a quick practice on

0:23:18 > 0:23:21this beautiful beach. I want to make sure the ponies will work together

0:23:21 > 0:23:25and I can keep my balance on this board. Will be camping as we go,

0:23:25 > 0:23:28meeting some of the people that work you and make the somewhat islands

0:23:28 > 0:23:32are home. Stunning as is my little dog, Inca, who will be travelling in

0:23:32 > 0:23:40a special backpack. Ready to go? Right, then, boys. Let's go. We are

0:23:40 > 0:23:45heading to Barra over one of the many causeways built to connect the

0:23:45 > 0:23:49various islands, and my first up is to get something for dinner tonight.

0:23:49 > 0:23:53Angus John Morrison is one of the island's top cockle pickers, and

0:23:53 > 0:23:55he's taking me to one of his favourite spots, which also serves

0:23:55 > 0:24:00another purpose for the island. I don't think I have search for

0:24:00 > 0:24:04cockles anywhere as beautiful as this before. On a nice day, it is

0:24:04 > 0:24:09beautiful.Finding cockles is a simple process of breaking the sand

0:24:09 > 0:24:14to locate the big ones, and as we start, it's not long before the

0:24:14 > 0:24:18beach's other role becomes apparent. That's crazy. This beautiful stretch

0:24:18 > 0:24:24of sand was first licensed as a runway in 1936, and is the only

0:24:24 > 0:24:29beating the world to have scheduled flights. The cockle picking is safe,

0:24:29 > 0:24:32as long as we remain outside of the marked runway areas. How often would

0:24:32 > 0:24:40you come down here?I'm coming down here every day to get cockles for

0:24:40 > 0:24:48the hotels in the summer. They take maybe 30-40 kilos per week.In the

0:24:48 > 0:24:52summer months, the cockles can earn and is £3 per kilo, but they have to

0:24:52 > 0:24:57be the right size. Not any smaller than that. They are so abundant on

0:24:57 > 0:25:00the beach, that it is not long before we have enough for both

0:25:00 > 0:25:08Angus's hotels and my supper. They are so tasty. After a good night's

0:25:08 > 0:25:16rest, we are off again. Our next stop is the island where my ponies

0:25:16 > 0:25:19breed originates from. I will get to see some of these ponies running

0:25:19 > 0:25:24freely, but to get there we have to take the ferry and unfortunately it

0:25:24 > 0:25:33is a bit of a rough ride. Oh, my goodness!

0:25:33 > 0:25:39goodness! A sunny day in the Hebrides. Luckily, the horses are

0:25:39 > 0:25:44safely housed below, and after a topic crossing, we eventually make

0:25:44 > 0:25:48it. This is one of the smallest inhabited islands in the UK, with

0:25:48 > 0:25:52around 150 people living here. With no supermarkets, supplies about from

0:25:52 > 0:25:57the only shot on the island, run by Katrina Hawker. And in our case,

0:25:57 > 0:26:09that is dog biscuits and some food for the ponies.Hello.Intel.You're

0:26:09 > 0:26:14having a wonderful time, aren't you? Normally, the wild ponies run free

0:26:14 > 0:26:19here. But during the summer, they are sent to the hills, as they can

0:26:19 > 0:26:24become a bit of a nuisance.They are sent away because otherwise they

0:26:24 > 0:26:27become a bit of a pest because they are still came. They would be in the

0:26:27 > 0:26:30garden and people would start feeding them and then you can't get

0:26:30 > 0:26:38rid of them.So I head to the hills, and as -- it's not long before I see

0:26:38 > 0:26:42my first wild pony. They are so happy up there. There's something

0:26:42 > 0:26:47truly special about seeing a native pony in its natural habitat. This

0:26:47 > 0:26:51breed came close to extinction in the 1970s as the need for working

0:26:51 > 0:26:54ponies diminished. But on my next up, I find out where they are once

0:26:54 > 0:27:04again a central part of island life. Nice way to travel in general. We

0:27:04 > 0:27:10have loads of questions from the viewers. OK, this is quickfire. It

0:27:10 > 0:27:13out of the same question. Lizzy, we will start with you. Do any of you

0:27:13 > 0:27:22were lucky pants?Yeah.No, I try not to have any superstitions.I

0:27:22 > 0:27:27don't. I am pretty superstitious but I don't have special pants.Its

0:27:27 > 0:27:32thermal, isn't it? Fran, age 13, would like to know who was your

0:27:32 > 0:27:46inspiration growing up?Denise Lewis.Lucinda Green.Mine was

0:27:47 > 0:27:56probably a stuntman.Have we got time for the music?What music do

0:27:56 > 0:28:05you listen to?Grime.Hip-hop rap.I don't listen to anything. I just

0:28:05 > 0:28:09chat with my mates. We will be keeping an eye on the very cold

0:28:09 > 0:28:12weather this week and we would like your help because we want to create

0:28:12 > 0:28:16a people's visual weather report. Yes, show us how it is affecting

0:28:16 > 0:28:21you. Recorded ten second video. Hold your phone like this, landscape, to

0:28:21 > 0:28:25show as wherever you are tonight or tomorrow. It could be on your way to

0:28:25 > 0:28:29work or school or even with your pets. If you have a thermometer

0:28:29 > 0:28:36handed, filmed the Tebbit as well. -- temperature as well.

0:28:36 > 0:28:38Been great to have Lizzy, Izzy, Laura and Billy with us.

0:28:38 > 0:28:40Let's have one more big round of applause

0:28:40 > 0:28:41for our Winter Olympians!

0:28:41 > 0:28:47Tomorrow, we'll be back with Sharon Horgan.

0:28:47 > 0:28:51Before we go, as a tribute to Emma Chambers, we are going to finish our

0:28:51 > 0:28:55show in Diddley tonight and there is a whole episode for YouTube enjoy it

0:28:55 > 0:29:07later on tonight.Knock- knock. Who's there?Ronnie.Ronnie who?

0:29:07 > 0:29:13Ronnie Barker. It would be funny if Ronnie Barker came to your door.

0:29:13 > 0:29:17Yes. I'm not quite sure you understand how these jokes work.

0:29:17 > 0:29:30Knock knock.Who's there?Belief. Believe.
