:00:00. > :00:17.Hello and welcome to The One Show with Matt Baker.
:00:18. > :00:24.We're going back to school with Hollywood star Orlando Bloom
:00:25. > :00:39.all 17 teams just outside, on tenterhooks, waiting to find out
:00:40. > :00:42.who they'll be playing as we host the FA Cup fifth
:00:43. > :00:50.If they had night for football fans. -- it's a big night.
:00:51. > :00:52.And this year's potential giant killers are Sutton United
:00:53. > :00:57.that two non-league clubs have made it this far.
:00:58. > :00:59.Later, Jake Humphrey will be helping England manager Gareth Southgate
:01:00. > :01:03.First, let's meet someone who talks a good game...
:01:04. > :01:08...Even if it's just complete gibberish.
:01:09. > :01:19.I've heard the governor is going to go up front. Or he's going to drill
:01:20. > :01:26.bit on the carpet. Yes all the "Man could do a pass across the nut off
:01:27. > :01:27.the sock, am I right? You're right, you've got three points written
:01:28. > :01:38.blind. I couldn't make head nor tail of all
:01:39. > :01:43.that football terminology. You can tell we got a football crowd into
:01:44. > :01:47.night. You forgot about that? Happy memories? We used to call that other
:01:48. > :01:52.actor whose real name I've forgotten, lightning Dave because it
:01:53. > :01:59.was always about 15 takes. LAUGHTER You are a real football fan.
:02:00. > :02:00.Massive. Long-time suffering. It ain't getting any easier at the
:02:01. > :02:09.moment. You think the shape of football
:02:10. > :02:13.could have been very different if they had won? It was a replay, they
:02:14. > :02:18.don't have that any more. We lost to Man United, the second one. We were
:02:19. > :02:22.bullied by Bryan Robson as was the referee. Ian White was recovering
:02:23. > :02:27.from a broken leg, only could play 15 minutes in each game and he could
:02:28. > :02:31.have turned it for us. Close now. You're close and very passionate, I
:02:32. > :02:36.can tell. You've probably seen our fans outside, they are hoping their
:02:37. > :02:41.team will get their hands on this very special piece of silverware.
:02:42. > :02:43.But the inhabitants of one Scottish village have got their eyes
:02:44. > :02:47.And it could make them a lot of money.
:02:48. > :02:58.A lot of people who live here leave the village. There's nothing here. A
:02:59. > :03:03.season of work and nothing else. Like many rural communities across
:03:04. > :03:04.Britain, life here in this Scottish village isn't without its
:03:05. > :03:11.challenges. But hopes for a brighter future
:03:12. > :03:22.might lie in a rather unexpected place. Locals, here are convinced
:03:23. > :03:26.that there is gold in them hills. To find out why, I'm travelling 60
:03:27. > :03:33.miles north of Glasgow to Michu Richard Gray, CEO of mining company
:03:34. > :03:35.Scott Gold -- to meet. They are opening Scotland's first commercial
:03:36. > :03:42.gold mine. What's the reaction you get from people when they find out
:03:43. > :03:48.you are mining for gold in the Scottish hillside? Initially, a lot
:03:49. > :03:54.of disbelief. This runs from the edge. This happened about 407
:03:55. > :03:59.million years ago. Inside is the black speckles. They are the
:04:00. > :04:05.sulphites. Wherever there is more sulphide, there is more gold. It is
:04:06. > :04:09.a particularly rich area. How far does it go? We are going up to the
:04:10. > :04:13.surface, which is about 160 metres but this could go hundreds of meters
:04:14. > :04:16.down. We haven't explored yet but there is a lot more than I was. Can
:04:17. > :04:23.you estimate how much gold eventually could be here? We have
:04:24. > :04:27.estimated it to about 200,000 ounces and at ?100,000 perhaps that is ?200
:04:28. > :04:32.million of gold. This exploratory tunnel was dug out in 1989 and since
:04:33. > :04:37.then has passed through several owners who have yet to make it pay.
:04:38. > :04:41.One previous owner even left what looks like an innocuous pile of
:04:42. > :04:46.rocks blasted out of the hillside. Somewhere in this pile of, excuse
:04:47. > :04:53.me, rock dust, am I allowed to say that... There is gold? There is
:04:54. > :04:56.definitely gold, 800 grams of gold. We have taken the rock with the gold
:04:57. > :05:00.it, we are crushing it and we would get out the gold and demonstrate
:05:01. > :05:07.that there is gold in this mine and more to be extracted and the project
:05:08. > :05:10.can really work. In the past, falling gold prices were blamed for
:05:11. > :05:15.the failure to make a profit but with the value of now far stronger,
:05:16. > :05:21.it is hoped that this time it will be more successful. To prove the
:05:22. > :05:24.project is viable, the team are trying some small-scale production.
:05:25. > :05:26.How much gold is in that pot? Probably about five about five
:05:27. > :05:37.ounces, ?5,000 worth. There you are, there's your goal.
:05:38. > :05:43.Once it cools down, I finally get my hands on the precious material in
:05:44. > :05:48.its rawest unpolished form. Wow. Genuine Scottish gold. Genuine
:05:49. > :05:53.Scottish gold. Is it going to make you rich? It's going to make us all
:05:54. > :05:57.very rich, we hope. LAUGHTER The company has already attracted
:05:58. > :06:03.some investors including Dorset -based builder Graham Donaldson. Had
:06:04. > :06:07.you been a gold hunter before? I have invested in a few gold mines
:06:08. > :06:12.but never one you could actually see or touch or visit. And last
:06:13. > :06:15.November, Graham got his hands on the first commercially produced
:06:16. > :06:20.piece of Scottish gold from the mine when ten golden rounds with the
:06:21. > :06:25.value of around ?1000 each will put up for auction to raise money for
:06:26. > :06:34.the project. Will you share what you spend on this? ?21,000. For ?1000
:06:35. > :06:37.worth of gold. As an investor it is important but it is important for
:06:38. > :06:40.the community. Some of the local community have got caught up in this
:06:41. > :06:45.modern-day gold rush and are investing in the new venture. How is
:06:46. > :06:50.it to say I am a shareholder in a gold it's quite exciting. It's not
:06:51. > :06:54.just been the shareholder that the community will do well. I work here.
:06:55. > :07:00.It will be brilliant. What sort of impact will it have on the village?
:07:01. > :07:04.It is a very small rural communities. It tends not to have a
:07:05. > :07:10.very exciting life. And not long-term employment. We bought
:07:11. > :07:12.shares. My husband works there, so we wanted to invest in the company.
:07:13. > :07:18.We want to have something perhaps for the children for when they are
:07:19. > :07:21.older. It would be great to have the home of Scottish gold, which is a
:07:22. > :07:25.really, really interesting. Everyone here's hoping that these first
:07:26. > :07:30.explorer tree steps will lead to a fully operational mine that can
:07:31. > :07:34.attract new skilled labour and create tens of jobs. For this remote
:07:35. > :07:40.Scottish village, that would mean a very welcome era of prosperity. That
:07:41. > :07:45.would be quite something, to wear that of Scottish gold. I like that.
:07:46. > :07:51.A lot more gold fillings around in Scotland now. I think you must be
:07:52. > :07:54.one of the luckiest actors. You started your career
:07:55. > :07:56.in The Bounty, filmed in Tahiti. You've been to the Caribbean
:07:57. > :07:58.for Death in Paradise and now you're now starring
:07:59. > :08:08.in The Good Karma Hospital, I think you just like going abroad.
:08:09. > :08:12.The difference between doing their bounty, I was 21 years old and now
:08:13. > :08:19.the Sri Lanka gig, I am 54 years old. -- The Bounty. Bear in mind, I
:08:20. > :08:27.did two years in Waterloo Road in Rochdale! OK! That is the wrong side
:08:28. > :08:31.of the Pennines, it is not called rainbow flag crackers. You get more
:08:32. > :08:37.wet your trouser legs because it is bouncing the pavement so hard. Sri
:08:38. > :08:42.Lankan, great opportunity and a beautiful place. This is the
:08:43. > :08:49.brand-new drama on ITV on Sunday night. Set it up for us. It is
:08:50. > :08:54.called good, Hospital. A story of a young girl whose life is falling
:08:55. > :08:57.apart in Nottingham -- good karma hospital. In the midst of her
:08:58. > :09:03.exasperation, she goes to the toilet in her hospital and the straw that
:09:04. > :09:07.broke the camel 's back is that there is no toilet paper. She rips
:09:08. > :09:11.the sheet of a magazine and there is an advert for a hospital, would you
:09:12. > :09:19.like to work in this hospital in India. It's a hard cost to her. A
:09:20. > :09:23.girl travelling to The Good Karma Hospital to work in southern India.
:09:24. > :09:31.The head of the hospital is Amanda Redman's character who runs it with
:09:32. > :09:37.a rod of iron. You are not a doctor even though it is in a hospital. I
:09:38. > :09:45.am a real doctor I have an honorary degree! I play against type. I play
:09:46. > :09:49.a beach bar owner. Who very rarely wears decent clothes and wears a
:09:50. > :09:53.beach bar. It is like the bar owner philosophy, that all the characters
:09:54. > :09:54.eventually come through Greg McConnell's bar. We have a nice
:09:55. > :10:08.little clip. I am a doctor, I run a hospital, how
:10:09. > :10:13.can I advertise a bar? Especially one owned by a petty criminal. I
:10:14. > :10:15.resent that slander and demanded a retraction. You have used my face
:10:16. > :10:26.without permission, that slander. I'm sorry, he said he looked like
:10:27. > :10:30.you had jowls and I ignored him. It has that comfy Sunday night feel.
:10:31. > :10:39.It's got all the elements. It has the romance, the hospital staff. It
:10:40. > :10:46.is a bit gory occasionally. And it has the beauty of the place we are
:10:47. > :10:50.in. It's stunning. That is the type of thing you want to watch in
:10:51. > :10:56.winter. Talking about your character comments does reflect real life
:10:57. > :11:03.because you do own... I own in the Midlands. What kind of landlord are
:11:04. > :11:10.you? -- Ione bar in the Midlands. I have problems working the tills. But
:11:11. > :11:15.I am a good host, wander around all the time. We have lovely regulars,
:11:16. > :11:18.locals, who come in. We are a destination site as well, lots of
:11:19. > :11:23.people come for Sunday lunch will stop the food is great, ten ales at
:11:24. > :11:26.the bar, it's fantastic. I tend to be floating about and amongst the
:11:27. > :11:32.staff, love to go in the kitchen to see the guys are sweating. And
:11:33. > :11:37.Johnny the staff along. Shoot them a smile and get on with it! Find loads
:11:38. > :11:41.of autographs and do a thousand selfies will stop we were talking
:11:42. > :11:47.about famous people who may have visited your school. You and Neil,
:11:48. > :11:52.nothing. I can't think of anyone, my mother did a fitness class once but
:11:53. > :11:56.that was it. That doesn't count. The mayor came to our school. We had
:11:57. > :12:02.Noel Edmunds in a pair of foam trousers landing in a cream and
:12:03. > :12:04.ground helicopter. You made this up! County Durham, can you imagine? That
:12:05. > :12:09.image has stayed with me forever. That's pretty good, but nothing
:12:10. > :12:11.compared to the Hollywood heart-throb who turned up
:12:12. > :12:28.to a school in Manchester He is known for being a pirate in
:12:29. > :12:33.the Caribbean. And wandering the majestic Middle Earth. So, today,
:12:34. > :12:41.right here at STUDIO: Orlando Bloom is running a masterclass -- here at
:12:42. > :12:45.Cheadle Hulme High School. You want to inspire the next generation of
:12:46. > :12:49.actors. Orlando Bloom and pub ACA do our leading workshops today in the
:12:50. > :13:02.hope they will help students apply for top universities and jobs. --
:13:03. > :13:05.Paapa Essiedu. This has been worked by Patsy Rodenburg, who has taught
:13:06. > :13:08.many of the world's famous actors including Orlando. Are we all
:13:09. > :13:18.feeling silly enough? Patsy gave me the confidence to
:13:19. > :13:29.speak. It's a muscle. When you see it in these kits... -- these kids...
:13:30. > :13:34.You see them just take the space and stand there with confidence and use
:13:35. > :13:38.this language and how that will translate into job interviews,
:13:39. > :13:41.interviews to get into Oxford or Cambridge or wherever they want to
:13:42. > :13:47.go. They are not from this background necessarily getting the
:13:48. > :13:54.opportunity to have. Get off! Cast it off! It is my lady, it is my
:13:55. > :13:58.love! He's like... Enact any language because that's their but
:13:59. > :14:04.everybody does. -- and actor needs language. Paapa Essiedu was at the
:14:05. > :14:10.Royal Shakespeare Company and was their first ever black hamlet.
:14:11. > :14:17.I always used to speak with my hands in front of my mouth. I was used to
:14:18. > :14:22.mumbling my words. Then you do this craft training and you discover your
:14:23. > :14:26.voice. It allows you to share yourself with people so much more
:14:27. > :14:31.effectively. And confidently. Sponsoring this initiative is Andrew
:14:32. > :14:37.Lohr, hedge fund manager, who set up the Laurus Trust. Look at the top
:14:38. > :14:40.echelons of industry, acting, sports, politics, business, they are
:14:41. > :14:43.filled with a long night of the very best private schools and those from
:14:44. > :14:48.privileged backgrounds. What we want to try and do is level the playing
:14:49. > :14:51.field and teach that they need to have a voice, a presence. Those
:14:52. > :14:54.grades are just numbers and letters on a piece of paper, they need to
:14:55. > :15:01.get across why it is they want that job. Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art
:15:02. > :15:06.thou Romeo. Drive that the end of the line. It's a road map. There's
:15:07. > :15:11.no road map, but there is in Shakespeare, oddly, because of this
:15:12. > :15:15.I am bit will stop it is but thy name that is my enemy.
:15:16. > :15:28.She's saying been not a Montague. What's Montague? What's Montague?
:15:29. > :15:32.What's Montague? LAUGHTER It's like a dream come true. Finally
:15:33. > :15:36.getting to be taught by somebody who is so experienced and get to take
:15:37. > :15:40.things away from them and use it in everyday life. You can see that they
:15:41. > :15:42.were better once they had taken the advice and put it into what they
:15:43. > :15:48.were doing. It's helped me a lot. So nice. He
:15:49. > :16:10.was so funny as well. You were taught by Patsy. How
:16:11. > :16:13.important is drama? It should be in every school. You learn a lot of
:16:14. > :16:17.confidence from it. It changed my life because I was in care homes at
:16:18. > :16:22.the same time as I started doing drama. It was an extra thing for me.
:16:23. > :16:26.Number one, I was getting noticed. Number two, I was occupied. I had
:16:27. > :16:29.things to do. Number three, it gives you confidence. Confidence in
:16:30. > :16:33.yourself. Being able to stand up and speak. Being able to voice what is
:16:34. > :16:37.in your head. Not that I have ever had a problem with that, anyway!
:16:38. > :16:47.It's almost time for the fifth round FA Cup Draw right here.
:16:48. > :16:49.First Matt's outside with some very anxious fans.
:16:50. > :16:52.17 teams are still in the FA Cup all waiting to hear
:16:53. > :16:56.Sutton United and Lincoln City are the underdogs and are gathering
:16:57. > :17:12.Tom you were there. What was the atmosphere like? It was 1-0, knocked
:17:13. > :17:16.Leedsouted out. Did you expect that? . We thought the artificial surface
:17:17. > :17:20.would make it difficult for them. The buzz around the club is
:17:21. > :17:24.tremendous. Looking around this lot then, who are you hoping for and
:17:25. > :17:30.home or away, that is the question? For me, the dream draw is Man United
:17:31. > :17:34.away. Away? Absolutely away. All the money the club would get for it
:17:35. > :17:39.would set us up for the foreseeable future. I hope things still go your
:17:40. > :17:43.way. I really do. We have Rob and Luke here. Lincoln City supporters.
:17:44. > :17:47.You used to play for the youth team, back in the day. I had a couple of
:17:48. > :17:51.outings when they were short. Nothing fancy N there for a while.
:17:52. > :17:54.Good! We have Luke here as well. Is it right you play for the youth
:17:55. > :17:59.team? Yeah. How old are you? I'm ten. Which team would you like to
:18:00. > :18:03.play against, your team play gens if the next round? Probably just one of
:18:04. > :18:09.the Premier League teams away, just for the money. Like who - Chelsea?
:18:10. > :18:15.Chelsea, Man City, anyone like that. Can you take them. Umm, yeah. Of
:18:16. > :18:22.course you can! We have Gareth Southgate, an
:18:23. > :18:28.ex-professional footballer, Robbie Savage, obviously. Have you thought
:18:29. > :18:34.about techniques you will use for drawing the balls? I have seen Rod
:18:35. > :18:39.Stewart. I might go for Rod Stewart. We have a clip of Rod Stewart
:18:40. > :18:43.drawing balls. Number two...
:18:44. > :18:51.Wow, I mean look at that dive in there! I am not sure how the green
:18:52. > :18:55.room was... I think you will pull an arm if you do something like that!
:18:56. > :19:01.You have both played in the FA Cup. How exciting it is for the fans
:19:02. > :19:05.here? There is a real atmosphere? It is a special competition, for
:19:06. > :19:12.supporters a chance to win a trophy. The Cup is a special occasion for
:19:13. > :19:15.supporters and players alike. From an England manager's perspective, it
:19:16. > :19:21.gives you a great opportunity to see some of the players who may not be
:19:22. > :19:25.on show week-to-week. You have some playing in the last few weeks for
:19:26. > :19:31.our junior national team. It is a great opportunity for them to play
:19:32. > :19:35.under pressure. It is great to see. Obviously March will be a big month
:19:36. > :19:38.for you, where are you at the moment with managing the teams and making
:19:39. > :19:44.decisions? What process are you using? It is great. I have not lost
:19:45. > :19:49.since November. But, you have a chance to plan and
:19:50. > :19:54.get all the support team in place and get around and see the players
:19:55. > :19:57.playing at their clubs. It's nice to have that opportunity to take stock.
:19:58. > :20:01.October and November were quite mad. It is a chance to put all the plans
:20:02. > :20:04.in. And Robbie, you must obviously think back to when you were a young
:20:05. > :20:09.player and the opportunity that's on offer here tonight. This must be an
:20:10. > :20:14.honour for you. It is amazing. When you see the balls come out the jar,
:20:15. > :20:21.as a kid, to dream, to do it, it's fantastic.
:20:22. > :20:24.BT Sport's Jake Humphrey is ready for the FA Cup Draw.
:20:25. > :20:26.First, here's a reminder of what the fourth round brought us.
:20:27. > :20:40.Game on! It is so cruel on them. This is unbelievable! It has come
:20:41. > :20:45.through to Pedro. Oxford United into the fifth round. Another
:20:46. > :20:49.giant-killing story. Sutton United are into the last 16. Lincoln City's
:20:50. > :20:57.FA Cup adventure continues! Good evening, thanks for joining us
:20:58. > :20:59.live from BBC New Broadcasting House We are moments away
:21:00. > :21:16.from the draw for the fifth We are joined by viewers from across
:21:17. > :21:17.the world. For the first time in this
:21:18. > :21:18.great competition's 146-year history, we have two
:21:19. > :21:22.From all of us, a huge congratulations, to Sutton
:21:23. > :21:35.That's worth a round of applause, isn't it? Here are the all-important
:21:36. > :21:38.numbers. Stand by in South London. Sutton United you are ball number
:21:39. > :21:42.four. For you in Lincoln, you are ball number seven. Others to look
:21:43. > :21:47.out for, Spurs number one. Oxford, number three. Chelsea, number eight.
:21:48. > :21:52.Nine, that is Manchester United. There are a few championship sides
:21:53. > :21:57.that remain, Huddersfield, Fulham, 14. And Pep's Manchester City is
:21:58. > :22:00.ball 16. Obviously you cannot do something as important as this on
:22:01. > :22:05.your own. With me for this one, Robbie Savage, who played in 36 FA
:22:06. > :22:10.Cup ties. Alongside him Gareth Southgate, who played in the final
:22:11. > :22:14.17 years ago with Aston Villa. What was the further you -- furtherest
:22:15. > :22:19.you got in the Cup? I think tonight, to be fair! You had a couple of big
:22:20. > :22:24.games, didn't you? A couple of big ones. It is fantastic. You were also
:22:25. > :22:33.on the receiving end of one of the biggest shocks, but also one of the
