0:00:17 > 0:00:19Hello and welcome to The One Show with Greg James.

0:00:19 > 0:00:23And Alex Jones, and we're counting down to what we hope will be

0:00:23 > 0:00:27the biggest Children In Need ever!

0:00:27 > 0:00:33CHEERING

0:00:33 > 0:00:37There's just 30 minutes to go and we are the official warm-up act.

0:00:37 > 0:00:39And the stars of our show tonight are, of course, Team Rickshaw,

0:00:39 > 0:00:43because, after nine days on the road, facing freezing temperatures,

0:00:43 > 0:00:46heavy rain and far too many hills, they're due to complete

0:00:46 > 0:00:50their epic 500-mile ride to the Clyde later tonight.

0:00:50 > 0:00:53APPLAUSE

0:00:53 > 0:00:56Their proud friends and family are waiting for them at the finish

0:00:56 > 0:00:59line in Glasgow and we'll find out how they're handling the final few

0:00:59 > 0:01:01miles a little later.

0:01:01 > 0:01:03A brilliant turnout.

0:01:03 > 0:01:07Our guests in the studio have been on a bit of a journey themselves

0:01:07 > 0:01:09for Children In Need. Well, if you count bringing

0:01:09 > 0:01:12Walford to the West End.

0:01:18 > 0:01:25# Such a sky you never did see # And put it in a box for me

0:01:25 > 0:01:32#Please welcome Christopher Ajer Timothy -- Christopher Timothy,

0:01:32 > 0:01:39delete keeper -- Tilly Keeper and Dean Gaffney. We're going to see a

0:01:39 > 0:01:43performance later. How are you feeling about it, is it they hide

0:01:43 > 0:01:47behind the sofa moment or are you proud?I'm really excited to see it.

0:01:47 > 0:01:52Is the first we've seen it.What did you think?I thought I had some good

0:01:52 > 0:01:57moves!We're going to see more later. It will change his career!

0:01:57 > 0:02:04I'm serious. It's the start of something. It is the last push for

0:02:04 > 0:02:08Team Rickshaw as they make their way from Edinburgh to Glasgow and this

0:02:08 > 0:02:10is how the day has gone so far.

0:02:14 > 0:02:18Oh, my work is happening, it's happening, everyone. We are about to

0:02:18 > 0:02:23leave our final start line of this challenge. It's been a heck of a

0:02:23 > 0:02:27bike ride from London to Glasgow. Goodbye! The team have loved every

0:02:27 > 0:02:36minute and it is sad it is coming to a close. It's the last day!Ooh!

0:02:36 > 0:02:45Don't be sad.I'm going to miss everyone.56 miles. We're going to

0:02:45 > 0:02:48have a party every mile.

0:02:49 > 0:02:54ROCK MUSIC

0:02:57 > 0:03:03from one last party to one more surprise and for the Doctor Who fan,

0:03:03 > 0:03:08Shona, luckily it isn't a Dalek. Because you'd been so epic... It is

0:03:08 > 0:03:13the Doctor himself. You deserve a treat.Shona, you did it! Shona,

0:03:13 > 0:03:18Shona, Shona! You should be really proud of yourself. What a job,

0:03:18 > 0:03:34goodbye!Wow!What do you make of that?Good! I'm happy.Greg is 18

0:03:34 > 0:03:39and from Dunfermline. When he was nine his dad tragically died.My dad

0:03:39 > 0:03:45was in hospital for quite a few months. And then they sent him home.

0:03:45 > 0:03:52I've seen him struggling to breathe. The hospital came in and from there

0:03:52 > 0:03:59we were told he'd died. Then Greg moved from Poland to Scotland with

0:03:59 > 0:04:05his mum and after finding a new partner she began to neglect him.My

0:04:05 > 0:04:10mum wasn't really looking after me, she doesn't feed me and I started

0:04:10 > 0:04:18living on the couch. I was wearing shoes that word two sizes down. My

0:04:18 > 0:04:25mum just turned her back on me and said, I want nothing to do with him,

0:04:25 > 0:04:31take him away.Do you ever think about how you managed to get

0:04:31 > 0:04:38through?You sit and cry sometimes, thinking why did all that happen?

0:04:38 > 0:04:46Why did I have to go away from all my family and friends. Being told my

0:04:46 > 0:04:50life is going to get better and it was the worst. Thinking what it

0:04:50 > 0:04:56would be like if my dad wasn't dead. Because when my dad was alive there

0:04:56 > 0:05:01was nothing like that going on ever. Thankfully Greg was taken into

0:05:01 > 0:05:03foster care and he is life got better.

0:05:03 > 0:05:09How does that make you live your life now?Now I have a better life.

0:05:09 > 0:05:13I think about the people who helped myself. You always look for

0:05:13 > 0:05:18positives in bad things. My dad taught me how a bike when I was

0:05:18 > 0:05:25younger. I think he'd be very proud of me doing this.Every year, I'm

0:05:25 > 0:05:32bowled over by the riders that we have an The Rickshaw Challenge.

0:05:32 > 0:05:36Every single one of them has just got their heads down and worked as

0:05:36 > 0:05:39hard as they possibly can.

0:05:39 > 0:05:39got their heads down and worked as hard as they possibly can.

0:05:39 > 0:05:41got their heads down and worked as hard as they possibly can. They are

0:05:41 > 0:05:45just incredibly inspirational and they will go

0:05:45 > 0:05:47just incredibly inspirational and they will go on to do great things

0:05:47 > 0:05:50in their lives because they've got what it takes.

0:05:50 > 0:05:52in their lives because they've got what it takes. Let's see it for Team

0:05:52 > 0:05:56Rickshaw, everyone! CHEERING

0:05:59 > 0:06:08I just wanted to do something like this while I still can.You go,

0:06:08 > 0:06:21girl!The rickshaw makes me feel invincible right now.Team Rickshaw!

0:07:07 > 0:07:14A brilliant week. Preparations are underway at the finish line in a

0:07:14 > 0:07:17drizzly Glasgow to cheer our rickshaw riders home. Joe is there.

0:07:17 > 0:07:20Not long now, Joe?

0:07:20 > 0:07:28# No stopping # No stopping!

0:07:30 > 0:07:37CHEERING Yes, you are mailing this now! Yes,

0:07:37 > 0:07:42welcome to the banks of the Clyde ea in Glasgow. This is the final

0:07:42 > 0:07:47destination for Team Rickshaw. We have our choir. Boka miasma, we're

0:07:47 > 0:07:52getting the party started. We have something else that is very

0:07:52 > 0:07:56important, a remarkable finish line. This is what the riders have been

0:07:56 > 0:08:01thinking about over nine days, 500 miles. It comes down to this,

0:08:01 > 0:08:05they'll be here later and to cheer them in, their family and friends.

0:08:05 > 0:08:09We've just seen Greg and his film just now. It's been incredible so

0:08:09 > 0:08:15let's speak to you guys, Greg's. Mum and dad. He has earned himself a

0:08:15 > 0:08:20nickname, the king of the hills. Phenomenal, Lake District and

0:08:20 > 0:08:24Scotland. Surprised by the strength? Not really, Greg is the kind of

0:08:24 > 0:08:27person who goes out there and does what he wants to do. That's the kind

0:08:27 > 0:08:34of person he is.Very determined?So determined, and very strong!You can

0:08:34 > 0:08:40be very proud of him. I'm going onto Sabah's mum and that. Last night

0:08:40 > 0:08:47Sabah said that she felt invincible. What is it like to hear that as a

0:08:47 > 0:08:53parent?Amazing, I never thought I'd hear her say that. The positivity

0:08:53 > 0:08:56and strength she's gained from The Rickshaw Challenge, the best,

0:08:56 > 0:09:02totally amazing.Wow. And she's a confident young lady but this has

0:09:02 > 0:09:09helped her even more.Yeah, she is. Fantastic. Alex, you are Luke's

0:09:09 > 0:09:13brother, we've seen from Luke at the grief is very raw and fresh as it is

0:09:13 > 0:09:19for the whole family. How has this helped in processing the grief? The

0:09:19 > 0:09:24whole thing has been one large therapy session for the lot of us.

0:09:24 > 0:09:27Having it out in the open forces us to deal with the emotions coming

0:09:27 > 0:09:34with grieving, for all of us, it has really helped. It has brought us

0:09:34 > 0:09:42much closer together. Please to hear it. It has been a huge challenge and

0:09:42 > 0:09:46we don't just get them to ride on the rickshaw, we give the riders a

0:09:46 > 0:09:51chance to say why they wanted to be involved. Tonight it is then's turn

0:09:51 > 0:09:58and he took to the X Factor stage. -- it is Ben's turn.

0:10:01 > 0:10:04I'd like to introduce two people with a different kind of star

0:10:04 > 0:10:11quality, it is Amy, in Simon's check and her brother, Ben. Give it up for

0:10:11 > 0:10:21Ben, everyone. -- in Simon's chair. Hello, I'm Ben I'm 16 and I live in

0:10:21 > 0:10:26North Wales with my mum, my dad, my brother, two sisters, three dogs,

0:10:26 > 0:10:33lots of sheep and Davey chickens! I've always been very close to my

0:10:33 > 0:10:37sister, Amy -- and a feud chickens. Going out she always looked after

0:10:37 > 0:10:43me. When she was 14 she was diagnosed with a syndrome that is

0:10:43 > 0:10:46very rare. Children with this condition normally only live for

0:10:46 > 0:10:53eight years but thankfully, Amy is still here. She used to be able to

0:10:53 > 0:10:57run, climb and talk. But now she can't walk and even struggles to

0:10:57 > 0:11:04eat. It's heartbreaking to see how tough her life has become. I help

0:11:04 > 0:11:08her around in her wheelchair and look after her the best I can. She

0:11:08 > 0:11:13makes me smile all the time and I feel lucky to have her in my life.

0:11:13 > 0:11:18Mum started a charity called Amy and friends, which tries to support

0:11:18 > 0:11:22sibling carers like me who may be struggling, and to help other young

0:11:22 > 0:11:27people going through similar situations. This year I'm taking

0:11:27 > 0:11:33part in the Children in Need Rickshaw Challenge. I want to do it

0:11:33 > 0:11:36for my sister, Amy, and others with the same condition. We'd love to be

0:11:36 > 0:11:41able to do something so physical but can't -- they'd love to be able to

0:11:41 > 0:11:48do something. Every penny you give makes a difference. Thank you.

0:11:57 > 0:12:03I'm delighted to say that we have Amy and Ben's family here. Amy, you

0:12:03 > 0:12:09are a big fan of X Factor so that must have been incredible?Yeah.I'm

0:12:09 > 0:12:14so pleased for you. Ben's mum, he's a very sweet and caring boy,

0:12:14 > 0:12:19incredible compassion and he's clearly very motivated by his love

0:12:19 > 0:12:27for his sister but lots of others at your charity. The is, he wears his

0:12:27 > 0:12:31heart on his sleeve. This week we have lost four of our young people,

0:12:31 > 0:12:37Ben has known that and it has encouraged him to keep going for

0:12:37 > 0:12:40those children with this syndrome and illness. All of the families who

0:12:40 > 0:12:46have been behind him, even those who lost Jordan, and we are so grateful.

0:12:46 > 0:12:50-- lost children. He knew about those children who have been lost

0:12:50 > 0:12:55and it was pushing him on. Compelling stuff, thank you. Luke's

0:12:55 > 0:12:59family, given that this was a kid who not long ago had to teach

0:12:59 > 0:13:03himself to walk again, did you ever think you'd be standing here

0:13:03 > 0:13:08tonight, and he's gone 500 miles on a bike?I can't wait to see him but

0:13:08 > 0:13:12no, I never thought we'd be here. When Luke was picked to do the

0:13:12 > 0:13:15challenge all he wanted do was show other children with Zverev palsy

0:13:15 > 0:13:20that they can achieve amazing things and I think he's done that --

0:13:20 > 0:13:26cerebral palsy.Shona's family, we spoke to you last night. What on

0:13:26 > 0:13:35earth have you done to your car? Decorated my 70s classic Citroen as

0:13:35 > 0:13:45Pudsey and we raised over £1000 with our very own Stig. Thanks, guys.

0:13:45 > 0:13:51They should be here in 90 minutes. Give us a wave, crowd. Tallo! To

0:13:51 > 0:13:55keep them all we have the choir. So, take it away.

0:14:04 > 0:14:14# I'm a racing car # There's no stopping me. If

0:14:14 > 0:14:20families and parents are going to be so relieved to see the team going

0:14:20 > 0:14:24over the finish line. I'm sure it will be the highlight of the night.

0:14:24 > 0:14:31Extraordinary.It is. In 17 minutes, Children in Need will kick off and

0:14:31 > 0:14:34as ever we are promised a night of famous faces making us laugh, smile

0:14:34 > 0:14:42and cry. The question is, which category do you lot fall into? Come

0:14:42 > 0:14:47on, Dean?We don't want to give too much away. But here it is the bit of

0:14:47 > 0:14:51what you've been up to four Children in Need.

0:14:51 > 0:14:56# He's getting married in the morning

0:14:56 > 0:15:01# Ding-dong, the bells are going to chime

0:15:01 > 0:15:14# Let's have a whopper # And get me to the church on time

0:15:14 > 0:15:21# Step, step, step, step, step, step, step

0:15:21 > 0:15:25#

0:15:28 > 0:15:34We saw in the clip, I'm going to the first bit, giving it some welly!

0:15:34 > 0:15:39Always. It was nice to see it was shot differently, obviously in

0:15:39 > 0:15:45EastEnders we filmed in HD but that is ultra HD.It looks amazing. You

0:15:45 > 0:15:51got a really busy schedule on EastEnders so where did you fit that

0:15:51 > 0:16:00in?On a Saturday.In one day?!It was pre-recorded which meant, I

0:16:00 > 0:16:05can't speak for the rest because there are some voices you will hear

0:16:05 > 0:16:11that are to die for, wonderful singers. That's not how you would

0:16:11 > 0:16:16describe me! But pre-recorded means you can do it again and again. Even

0:16:16 > 0:16:22I sound almost acceptable! I'm delighted and I think it looks

0:16:22 > 0:16:28fantastic.Tilly, you are no stranger to the West End, you must

0:16:28 > 0:16:32have loved it.I love musicals anyway and I was in Oliver Webb I

0:16:32 > 0:16:38was about ten years old and ten years later I have come full circle.

0:16:38 > 0:16:42I'm still thinking it like I did when I was ten! I don't know if that

0:16:42 > 0:16:48is a good thing now that I'm 20! EastEnders always do these epic

0:16:48 > 0:16:52performances but how do they choose who gets the lead parts?I don't

0:16:52 > 0:17:00know.You don't have to audition? No, there are some amazing singers

0:17:00 > 0:17:04in the cast like Shona and Jacqueline but I'm quite competitive

0:17:04 > 0:17:10as well! I want the solo.Like the nativity play at school? Were you

0:17:10 > 0:17:16happy?We went into the recording studio and I literally realised then

0:17:16 > 0:17:23that I can't sing! I was told to hold a note. In the musical director

0:17:23 > 0:17:30said, don't worry, in the edit will make it look OK.Maybe it isn't

0:17:30 > 0:17:34singing that is for you but we wanted to show something from when

0:17:34 > 0:17:40you were on Children In Need a few years ago, 1996, hosted by Paul

0:17:40 > 0:17:46McKenna who was hypnotising you. This is extraordinary the

0:17:50 > 0:17:55-- extraordinary TV.Can you remember any of it?I can't even

0:17:55 > 0:18:03answer because I'm looking at my hair! I think I was under! It was 21

0:18:03 > 0:18:10years ago.Amazing.You are worried about the hair but it needs to come

0:18:10 > 0:18:17back!And we have to mention quickly gone Strictly is Blackpool this

0:18:17 > 0:18:22weekend and Davood is doing incredibly well.Incredible.And he

0:18:22 > 0:18:30is one of the nicest guys as well. I hope he goes really far.I can see

0:18:30 > 0:18:37you doing this, Dean.I would be the funny one that everybody watches to

0:18:37 > 0:18:43see what he's doing! But I want to win.Thank you for being here this

0:18:43 > 0:18:44evening.

0:18:44 > 0:18:46Let's take a look at some of the other highlights planned

0:18:46 > 0:18:48for tonight's Children In Need.

0:18:48 > 0:18:50Tess and Ade kick things off at 7.30pm with a special performance

0:18:55 > 0:19:01And an exclusive first-look at the Dr Who Christmas special.

0:19:01 > 0:19:04Then it's over to this lot and the rest of the EastEnders

0:19:04 > 0:19:06cast with their West End medley.

0:19:06 > 0:19:08And after 8pm, Peter Kay takes to the driver's seat

0:19:08 > 0:19:14with a Car Share exclusive.

0:19:17 > 0:19:20The Countryfile presenters don their stetsons for a special

0:19:20 > 0:19:24live performance after 8.30pm.

0:19:24 > 0:19:29And then, fingers crossed, Team Rickshaw will be crossing

0:19:29 > 0:19:32the finish line in Glasgow just before 9pm.

0:19:32 > 0:19:34APPLAUSE

0:19:34 > 0:19:37Then there's Strictly Blue Peter, Poldark, Weakest Link,

0:19:37 > 0:19:40performances from Rita Ora, Sam Smith and of course Ore Oduba!

0:19:40 > 0:19:45The list is endless.

0:19:45 > 0:19:50I think it is about time we truly kicked off Children In Need and

0:19:50 > 0:19:54launched the official phone number.

0:19:54 > 0:19:57Grab a pen because this is the number you'll need to call

0:19:57 > 0:20:00if you want to donate at any point during tonight's big show.

0:20:00 > 0:20:02I have been practising all day.

0:20:02 > 0:20:03The number is...

0:20:03 > 0:20:0703457 33 22 33.

0:20:07 > 0:20:10APPLAUSE

0:20:10 > 0:20:11Standard geographic charges from landlines

0:20:11 > 0:20:13and mobiles will apply.

0:20:13 > 0:20:16And the great news is that if you phone that number right now,

0:20:16 > 0:20:18the money you donate will go towards the Team Rickshaw total

0:20:18 > 0:20:20so please give what you can.

0:20:20 > 0:20:23We've heard all week about some of the amazing charities that

0:20:23 > 0:20:26are supported by your donations, and I've been to visit one

0:20:26 > 0:20:27group that helps children facing life-changing brain

0:20:27 > 0:20:30injuries and illnesses.

0:20:36 > 0:20:39It was Friday, she was playing with her brother in the bath and

0:20:39 > 0:20:45everything was fine and within five minutes she was unconscious.Coco

0:20:45 > 0:20:51was just six years old and suffered a stroke. When we first arrived at

0:20:51 > 0:20:57A&E there was a big team of doctors ready to work on her and I remember

0:20:57 > 0:21:01thinking at that point, this is not good, and that was when we were told

0:21:01 > 0:21:05they had found this big lead on her brain. She needed emergency surgery

0:21:05 > 0:21:13to release the pressure on her brain -- the big bleed. We had to sign the

0:21:13 > 0:21:17forms that advised us she was likely to die.Coco survived surgery and

0:21:17 > 0:21:24was put in an induced coma for a week. A stroke was caused by a

0:21:24 > 0:21:28tangle of arteries and veins in the brain. She was not waking up and

0:21:28 > 0:21:32that was almost as difficult as being told she was likely to die.

0:21:32 > 0:21:40But then she smiled. And from there, she gradually got better.Three

0:21:40 > 0:21:46months after her stroke, Coco came here to the children's trust in

0:21:46 > 0:21:49Surrey, a leading charity specialising in helping children

0:21:49 > 0:21:56with brain injuries. Here, individual children receive

0:21:56 > 0:22:00tailor-made individual Tilly rehabilitation programmes including

0:22:00 > 0:22:06speech and language therapy and a bit of play therapy.

0:22:16 > 0:22:23Coming here, therapists were very positive about everything. For the

0:22:23 > 0:22:27physio, her goal was to walk again which she did after five months

0:22:27 > 0:22:36which was an amazing moment.Look at you!That's really pretty, isn't it.

0:22:36 > 0:22:42Another one.Going from not being able to do anything apart from lift

0:22:42 > 0:22:51her head to this... It's incredible. How rewarding is it for you to work

0:22:51 > 0:22:54with children like Coco and see their development? We have children

0:22:54 > 0:23:01coming in who are not mobile and more on their beds and need a lot of

0:23:01 > 0:23:05input, to being able to start to walk and seeing that progression is

0:23:05 > 0:23:14amazing.I'm doing some colouring. The Children's Trust provides

0:23:14 > 0:23:17opportunities for children who have a brain injury or neuro visibility

0:23:17 > 0:23:24which has been caused by accident or illness. -- neuro disability. We

0:23:24 > 0:23:28have supported 900 children and their families in the last year. She

0:23:28 > 0:23:34was paralysed down one side of her body. She can only just sit up and

0:23:34 > 0:23:38now she can crawl. At 1.I was told she might never walk and she might

0:23:38 > 0:23:45have a different outcome -- at one stage. It is the best thing in the

0:23:45 > 0:23:48world.Fundraising is challenging but without that we could not

0:23:48 > 0:23:52provide the vital therapy that the children received. It's really

0:23:52 > 0:23:58inspirational to come here and see first-hand what great causes your

0:23:58 > 0:24:01money is going towards and to meet parents and children like Coco who

0:24:01 > 0:24:06are being helped. Your money can help a lot of other projects and

0:24:06 > 0:24:09children across the country so please keep giving what can. Thank

0:24:09 > 0:24:21you.Well done, Coco.We love Coco. Amazing.

0:24:21 > 0:24:23Last year Alex visited The London Centre for Children

0:24:23 > 0:24:26with Cerebral Palsy which helps support children with the condition

0:24:26 > 0:24:27and their families.

0:24:27 > 0:24:29Like Andy and his mum Afrothedi.

0:24:29 > 0:24:32Welcome to the show.

0:24:32 > 0:24:38It is great to see you. You have grown so much! And your ears are

0:24:38 > 0:24:46enormous!When I saw you last the focus was on improving Andy's

0:24:46 > 0:24:50balance and walking and you had a fundraiser to help with that.Yes,

0:24:50 > 0:24:55he has been given the OK to have a life changing operation at Great

0:24:55 > 0:24:58Ormond Street Hospital to unfortunately it is not completely

0:24:58 > 0:25:03funded by the NHS so we have been fundraising for him. Fantastic

0:25:03 > 0:25:08community support and the school he attends have recently fundraiser

0:25:08 > 0:25:16over £19,000.APPLAUSE That is a big donation!And the, you

0:25:16 > 0:25:22are amazing, and we are waiting at each other which is good fun but I

0:25:22 > 0:25:26know you like in years and also dressing up. There is an amazing

0:25:26 > 0:25:36photograph of you as Luigi! That's great!And your brother Christopher

0:25:36 > 0:25:46was Mario, wasn't the?Yes!And you met Spiderman?Yes!What did you say

0:25:46 > 0:25:58to him?Help! When did you shave off your moustache?A few years later!

0:25:58 > 0:26:03And how important is the Children In Need money for Andy and when he has

0:26:03 > 0:26:11been cared for?He attends a centre as you know and Children In Need

0:26:11 > 0:26:17give the centre of grant which goes towards funding the sessions he goes

0:26:17 > 0:26:19to and the professionals and specialists that help teach him to

0:26:19 > 0:26:24do everyday things like walking and sitting.Thank you so much for being

0:26:24 > 0:26:31here.Good luck with the operation. APPLAUSE

0:26:35 > 0:26:38Now while team which have been racking up the miles on the road we

0:26:38 > 0:26:42would like to thank everybody who has taken a spin on virtual rickshaw

0:26:42 > 0:26:48-- Team Rickshaw. That includes Harry who has raised more than

0:26:48 > 0:26:58£2000! Well done. And then there is Lauren, her bike broke down so she

0:26:58 > 0:27:04set up her exercise bike and cycled 65 miles and raised £193! Brilliant.

0:27:04 > 0:27:08Thank you to everybody who has got on their bikes and together you have

0:27:08 > 0:27:15ridden more than 38,000 miles and raised over £30,000.Well done and

0:27:15 > 0:27:22thank you.Team Rickshaw do not have long left to complete their right to

0:27:22 > 0:27:28the Clyde with one last push.Matt has sent us a final update.

0:27:31 > 0:27:34Hello! We are in touching distance of the Finnish!

0:27:37 > 0:27:40-- of the finish line. I can't believe I'm saying it, what a week

0:27:40 > 0:27:49it has been. Starting with the highlights, Shona?Just going

0:27:49 > 0:28:01through the borders, and through Hawick because nobody really knows

0:28:01 > 0:28:07where it is!Your highlight?Being on the road with my idol. We have

0:28:07 > 0:28:13had fun times and learned a lot of things. We should go to keep

0:28:13 > 0:28:19yourself?!Yes!Being with the best people and making the best memories.

0:28:19 > 0:28:28Well said.Getting to know the whole team and the stories.Yeah, I agree

0:28:28 > 0:28:32and also the support we have got from the crowds of people has been

0:28:32 > 0:28:40really special and amazing.Luke, we cycled out of The One Show studio

0:28:40 > 0:28:46last Thursday. The finish line it up ahead. Can you believe it?No. There

0:28:46 > 0:28:51have been a few tough days of the hills in the Lake District, but as

0:28:51 > 0:28:55you said we have got near to Glasgow and that is thanks to the

0:28:55 > 0:28:59camaraderie and team spirit. We have bonded so well and that has helped

0:28:59 > 0:29:05us get to this stage. That is the key, the team spirit, this lot have

0:29:05 > 0:29:11left nothing back there in the 490 odd miles they have achieved and it

0:29:11 > 0:29:15has been brutal at times. But they have found the strength to do this

0:29:15 > 0:29:21because of the support of Children In Need. Each and every one of them,

0:29:21 > 0:29:25and if you have donated in the past, you have been a big part of what you

0:29:25 > 0:29:31can see here. We don't need to be a kidney specialist, a bereavement

0:29:31 > 0:29:36counsellor or a doctor of science, all you have to do is help to

0:29:36 > 0:29:41provide that expert care. And then this happens. And each and every one

0:29:41 > 0:29:46of them cannot wait to see how many children they are going to help.

0:29:46 > 0:29:50When they are standing there underneath the total, they will know

0:29:50 > 0:29:55what a difference that money is go to make to the children who are now

0:29:55 > 0:30:00in the same position that they used to be in. And you know what? Let's

0:30:00 > 0:30:06make it a brilliant total, total they absolutely deserve. And if you

0:30:06 > 0:30:10have already donated that a huge thank you for all of us. If you have

0:30:10 > 0:30:14come and supported on the road, thank you, thank you, thank you all

0:30:14 > 0:30:18so if you have not had chance to show your admiration and respect,

0:30:18 > 0:30:25there is still a chance. We will not get that total until 8:50pm and I

0:30:25 > 0:30:29hope you are watching to see how big it is. From all others here, we are

0:30:29 > 0:30:35going to enjoy last few miles. Let's do this, team! Let's take the

0:30:35 > 0:30:42rickshaw at home! APPLAUSE They are going to do it.

0:30:42 > 0:30:43That's almost it for tonight's show.

0:30:43 > 0:30:46Thanks to our guests, Christopher, Tilly and Dean.

0:30:46 > 0:30:47And Mary Berry's here on Monday!

0:30:47 > 0:30:50On behalf of everyone at The One Show, thank

0:30:50 > 0:30:51you to all who've supported Team Rickshaw.

0:30:51 > 0:30:53It means the world.

0:30:53 > 0:30:55Now, all that's left for us to do is hand over

0:30:55 > 0:30:57to Children In Need 2017.

0:30:57 > 0:30:58Everyone got their ears ready?

0:30:58 > 0:31:00Children In Need 2017 is live in...
