0:00:02 > 0:00:06I'm Daisy Lowe and I've been coming to London Fashion Week for ten years.

0:00:08 > 0:00:12But this year I'm on the lookout for new trends, and with so many

0:00:12 > 0:00:15brilliant designers with their own unique styles, it's no easy thing.

0:00:16 > 0:00:19I wore this to Jonathan Saunders,

0:00:19 > 0:00:21this to the Topshop show.

0:00:21 > 0:00:24There was one photo that was taken that I look

0:00:24 > 0:00:28so much like I'm trying to be a Spice Girl. It's hilarious.

0:00:28 > 0:00:31I wore this to the Stella McCartney... I love wearing Stella.

0:00:31 > 0:00:32She's so good.

0:00:32 > 0:00:35The lovely thing about London is that it's safe to be different.

0:00:35 > 0:00:38It's all very individual. Very strong.

0:00:39 > 0:00:44I was the sweatiest human in both that coat and this one.

0:00:44 > 0:00:47It was a nightmare. Trend is sweaty.

0:00:51 > 0:00:54If I know one thing for certain about London Fashion Week,

0:00:54 > 0:00:57it's that we'll definitely have some fun along the way.

0:00:57 > 0:00:59Oh, I love that!

0:01:01 > 0:01:05So we're on the Monday of Fashion Week, it's day four.

0:01:05 > 0:01:08We are going to go and see Erdem today,

0:01:08 > 0:01:10Christopher Kane, Burberry's on,

0:01:10 > 0:01:14Giles Deacon's on, and all of them are absolute trendsetters.

0:01:14 > 0:01:17So this is what I'm going to wear for the Erdem show today.

0:01:17 > 0:01:18It's very see through,

0:01:18 > 0:01:22so there's going to have to be some big undies under it.

0:01:22 > 0:01:24I'm going to get dressed now, so get out.

0:01:29 > 0:01:32Hiya. I'm in Erdem. This is fun.

0:01:32 > 0:01:34Bye, guys!

0:01:34 > 0:01:36Love you!

0:01:40 > 0:01:43We're in a rush, we've got to go. Come on. I refuse to be late.

0:01:46 > 0:01:49- There you are. Good morning. - Good morning.

0:01:49 > 0:01:51- How are you doing? - Good, how are you?

0:01:54 > 0:01:57My favourite memories of London Fashion Week are walking

0:01:57 > 0:02:00for designers who are all perfect examples of how London does

0:02:00 > 0:02:01things differently.

0:02:01 > 0:02:04Gareth Pugh's got to be the best I think.

0:02:04 > 0:02:07I just ended up looking like a kind of insane porcelain doll.

0:02:07 > 0:02:12Vivienne Westwood's first show back in London, that was pretty amazing.

0:02:12 > 0:02:16She came in and she just looked at me and she went, "No, too normal."

0:02:16 > 0:02:18And she just went...

0:02:18 > 0:02:21And put all this purple down my face, but it looked amazing.

0:02:21 > 0:02:22Pam Hogg's was pretty amazing as well.

0:02:22 > 0:02:25- She never conforms. - Never ever conforms.

0:02:25 > 0:02:29The three of them definitely are completely 100% themselves,

0:02:29 > 0:02:32which is definitely what London's best at doing.

0:02:33 > 0:02:35- We're arriving now. - We're arriving.

0:02:35 > 0:02:37This looks pretty mental. Yep.

0:03:18 > 0:03:22The thing about Erdem is everything's so beautifully considered.

0:03:23 > 0:03:28And it's all very clean and just beautifully made.

0:03:48 > 0:03:50Hi. Thank you. I loved that.

0:03:52 > 0:03:54Hello, sweetheart. You look gorgeous.

0:03:54 > 0:03:57What did you think of the collection?

0:03:57 > 0:03:59I think Erdem is a really good designer and...

0:03:59 > 0:04:00He's very consistent.

0:04:00 > 0:04:04He's very consistent, all of his colour staples were there.

0:04:04 > 0:04:06A bit of the Edwardiana, the flowers,

0:04:06 > 0:04:10but it had a kind of, maybe more grandeur than it sometimes does.

0:04:10 > 0:04:12Yeah, his florals are usually quite pretty,

0:04:12 > 0:04:15but I think using kind of palm leaves and things were really...

0:04:15 > 0:04:19Yeah, the dresses where you were like a walking palm tree was incredible.

0:04:19 > 0:04:21On dresses, and it was very kind of...

0:04:21 > 0:04:23- Just need a few balls to go to. - I know.

0:04:23 > 0:04:26I was literally looking and going, "Where can I wear you and you,

0:04:26 > 0:04:28"and I need one of you."

0:04:28 > 0:04:31- Oh, well, thank you so much. - Pleasure.

0:04:31 > 0:04:32It was lovely to see you.

0:04:32 > 0:04:33Bye.

0:04:41 > 0:04:43OK. Thanks, guys.

0:04:43 > 0:04:45Where's the car?

0:04:45 > 0:04:47I've spotted my very good friend Mr Justin O'Shea.

0:04:47 > 0:04:50I want to talk to him away from the photographers,

0:04:50 > 0:04:52so we're going to give him a lift to his next show.

0:04:52 > 0:04:53- Hi! - Hi!

0:04:53 > 0:04:55- Good hat. - You like it?

0:04:55 > 0:04:56Check you out.

0:04:56 > 0:04:58So what's been your highlights?

0:04:58 > 0:05:01Well, London actually was just Erdem.

0:05:01 > 0:05:04I mean, he's probably one of the most influential designers

0:05:04 > 0:05:09coming from London and globally, and his show today was beyond beautiful.

0:05:09 > 0:05:13Have you seen any similarities between the collections?

0:05:13 > 0:05:15Everything is moving back to a more pared-back look.

0:05:15 > 0:05:17I would completely agree.

0:05:17 > 0:05:20I've seen a lot of '70s vibes going on this season.

0:05:23 > 0:05:27The beauty of the '70s idea, it's like a little bit looser silhouette.

0:05:27 > 0:05:29It's very glamorous. It's a little bit longer,

0:05:29 > 0:05:30there's a lot of natural fabrics.

0:05:30 > 0:05:32So who do you think are the trendsetters?

0:05:32 > 0:05:35Do you think it's the designers or the buyers that dictate the trends?

0:05:35 > 0:05:37Fashion is so global now

0:05:37 > 0:05:40because of the digital stratosphere that everyone is

0:05:40 > 0:05:43searching for their own identities and they feel that they are

0:05:43 > 0:05:46more confident doing it because they had so much more information.

0:05:46 > 0:05:48You know, the thing is, you come to London,

0:05:48 > 0:05:50you live to see brands like Christopher Kane

0:05:50 > 0:05:54and Erdem, these new generation of designers.

0:05:54 > 0:05:55You just don't know...

0:05:55 > 0:05:57What they're going to pull out the bag.

0:05:57 > 0:05:58Exactly.

0:06:02 > 0:06:06There's just enough time for a quick change before the next show.

0:06:06 > 0:06:08And it's the big one. Christopher Kane.

0:06:34 > 0:06:37Cool. Sweet, yeah.

0:06:39 > 0:06:41OK. Let's pause a second.

0:06:43 > 0:06:46There's a few things you need to know about Christopher Kane.

0:06:46 > 0:06:48He's been adored by the fashion world ever since

0:06:48 > 0:06:52his first show after graduating from Central St Martin's in 2006.

0:06:52 > 0:06:55If you're looking for future trends then this is the man to look to.

0:06:55 > 0:07:00Neon dresses, he did it first. Bodycon styling, him too.

0:07:00 > 0:07:02He's fearless and he does not do boring.

0:07:02 > 0:07:04Where Christopher Kane leads the fashion world follows.

0:07:41 > 0:07:45Oh, I absolutely love Christopher. He's just so talented.

0:07:45 > 0:07:48He seems to do three shows in one show every time.

0:07:48 > 0:07:51He always manages to come up with something original, exciting.

0:07:51 > 0:07:53His clothes look super chic, expensive.

0:07:53 > 0:07:56For me it's, like, one of my favourite shows.

0:07:56 > 0:07:59And every look that comes out is incredibly well crafted

0:07:59 > 0:08:00and really, really feminine.

0:08:00 > 0:08:02People are always saying, "I wonder what," before hand.

0:08:02 > 0:08:04It's really exciting for London.

0:08:14 > 0:08:19Have you noticed any trends this season in London Fashion Week?

0:08:19 > 0:08:21It's funny, there's a bit of an incipient nautical thing,

0:08:21 > 0:08:25isn't there? Christopher did it with all the knots and that kind of stuff.

0:08:42 > 0:08:46One thing I've noticed is leg lengths, skirt lengths are going up.

0:08:46 > 0:08:51High-waisted, A-line just above the knee skirt.

0:08:51 > 0:08:54It'll be all over the high street in every other version.

0:08:54 > 0:08:55Knees are out again. Damn.

0:08:55 > 0:08:58I'm not great with knees, but, yeah, they're back.

0:09:03 > 0:09:05A lot of really bright colours.

0:09:07 > 0:09:10There's a lot of green, which is kind of unusual.

0:09:10 > 0:09:11I love green.

0:09:11 > 0:09:14There was lots of yellows and poppy colours and prints and things.

0:09:14 > 0:09:17I think it's very feminine and very playful.

0:09:17 > 0:09:18It is very feminine.

0:09:18 > 0:09:22The thing about London is it's pure creativity. Constant.

0:09:22 > 0:09:24You're bombarded with so many ideas

0:09:24 > 0:09:26that you just feel like you're being fed.

0:09:26 > 0:09:29Do you think that then it's quite difficult to spot a trend?

0:09:29 > 0:09:32- London isn't about trends. - It's not.

0:09:32 > 0:09:34It's about celebrating individuality.

0:09:34 > 0:09:37For London, you're never going to even...

0:09:37 > 0:09:39If you did see a trend in London, you'd be a bit like,

0:09:39 > 0:09:42"What's happened to London?" You'd be a bit miffed by it.

0:09:44 > 0:09:47It's nice to have a little sit-down after the Christopher Kane show.

0:09:47 > 0:09:48These shoes are killing.

0:09:48 > 0:09:51But it's nice to have a little reflect on

0:09:51 > 0:09:53what everyone's been saying. As far as trends go,

0:09:53 > 0:09:59there's been leather and lace has been very much loved,

0:09:59 > 0:10:01it's a bit of a '70s vibe,

0:10:01 > 0:10:05but what I found the most interesting was what Sophia said about how

0:10:05 > 0:10:10it's really difficult to spot trends in London because everyone is

0:10:10 > 0:10:13so purely individual and being 100% themselves,

0:10:13 > 0:10:15and that's what makes London so brilliant.

0:10:18 > 0:10:19Thanks, guys.

0:10:19 > 0:10:21Trend spotting during Fashion Week isn't easy,

0:10:21 > 0:10:24but thanks to live-stream catwalks we can find out

0:10:24 > 0:10:27which collections are trending with the general public.

0:10:27 > 0:10:30A few minutes away from the glamour of Fashion Week, this team

0:10:30 > 0:10:34are analysing social media, collating every tweet, hashtag and like.

0:10:34 > 0:10:36So this is quite literally what is trending at the moment

0:10:36 > 0:10:38at London Fashion Week.

0:10:38 > 0:10:40This is real-time data that's being pulled through.

0:10:40 > 0:10:43So in particular British Vogue was retweeting

0:10:43 > 0:10:47Marchesa's pink peonies designs that were coming out on the runway.

0:10:47 > 0:10:48They were really stunning

0:10:48 > 0:10:50and they really resonated with the British public.

0:10:50 > 0:10:52So we saw stuff like that getting retweeted

0:10:52 > 0:10:55time and time again as they were coming through.

0:10:56 > 0:10:59Big conversations around JW Anderson's leather hats.

0:10:59 > 0:11:00Yeah, they were great.

0:11:00 > 0:11:03Yeah, they really, really resonated again with people sharing

0:11:03 > 0:11:05images of them and tweeting about how cool they were.

0:11:05 > 0:11:07So we saw leather becoming a really big fabric

0:11:07 > 0:11:09being spoken about as a forthcoming trend.

0:11:09 > 0:11:13The big brands are getting really savvy about how to promote

0:11:13 > 0:11:15and actually translate some of this buzz

0:11:15 > 0:11:17that's going on on Twitter and Facebook into sales.

0:11:17 > 0:11:20One that I'm really interested to see how it happens is

0:11:20 > 0:11:24for the first time the Burberry show this afternoon, really exciting,

0:11:24 > 0:11:28they've got a Twitter buy-now button, and you'll actually be able to buy

0:11:28 > 0:11:30the nail varnish that the models are wearing on the catwalk.

0:11:30 > 0:11:32You could be part of that straightaway.

0:11:34 > 0:11:37The final designer we're seeing today is a man I've adored

0:11:37 > 0:11:39for such a long time.

0:11:39 > 0:11:42Giles Deacon reinvigorated the fashion scene

0:11:42 > 0:11:44with his unique mix of glamour and wit.

0:11:47 > 0:11:50Over ten years on and he still never disappoints.

0:11:50 > 0:11:52Guys, not on the cobbles, please.

0:11:54 > 0:11:59So we are at the Giles show now. I'm so excited, it's always so much fun.

0:11:59 > 0:12:03There's always the best, most tongue-in-cheek, brilliant bags,

0:12:03 > 0:12:05he always plays with lots of colour,

0:12:05 > 0:12:07he always has great models, great music,

0:12:07 > 0:12:09so let's get in.

0:12:09 > 0:12:12Yeah, the light's from there and you don't have a flash.

0:12:25 > 0:12:29Yes, I'm wearing Giles. My amazing outfit is Giles.

0:12:29 > 0:12:31He designs the most beautiful clothes

0:12:31 > 0:12:33that always make a woman look ladylike,

0:12:33 > 0:12:35but like she likes a lot of fun,

0:12:35 > 0:12:38which is exactly what fashion should be, right?

0:12:39 > 0:12:41Hello, Fashion TV. How you doing?

0:13:24 > 0:13:26I love what Giles does because it's really playful

0:13:26 > 0:13:29and it has this immediate impression of being very light and fun.

0:13:29 > 0:13:32When you actually look at the pieces, they're not light at all,

0:13:32 > 0:13:34they're brilliantly done.

0:13:34 > 0:13:36- I always love Giles shows. - Yeah, me too.

0:13:36 > 0:13:38Love his use of colour

0:13:38 > 0:13:41and there's always some glamorous dresses, like with the capes.

0:13:41 > 0:13:42- Yeah. - Knitted sweaters.

0:13:42 > 0:13:44Yeah.

0:13:44 > 0:13:46It was so good. So good! Did you enjoy it?

0:13:46 > 0:13:49- I did enjoy it a lot. - I love how it's so wild.

0:13:49 > 0:13:51It was a bit like a Bikram yoga centre backstage though,

0:13:51 > 0:13:54and I thought people were going to literally pass out.

0:13:54 > 0:13:56- Oh, yeah, fair enough. - Myself included.

0:13:56 > 0:13:58- I thought I was going to pass out. - Yeah, it was very hot.

0:13:58 > 0:14:00The best for me was all of the flat shoes with dresses.

0:14:00 > 0:14:03- Yeah. - Yes. Cos I'm too tall anyway.

0:14:03 > 0:14:07Gorgeous mental masculine shoes with very pretty, beautifully made...

0:14:07 > 0:14:08Very beautifully made.

0:14:08 > 0:14:11..slightly sideways dresses is kind of what we do, I think.

0:14:11 > 0:14:13Yeah. Very well. And that pink jumpsuit.

0:14:13 > 0:14:16Yeah, that's got your name on it. And that metallic leather.

0:14:16 > 0:14:18No. No more metallic leather!

0:14:18 > 0:14:20- I love you, Giles. - Oh, cheers, sweetheart.

0:14:20 > 0:14:23- Thank you so much, Daisy. - Thank you, you're the best.

0:14:23 > 0:14:24- Take care. - And you.

0:14:24 > 0:14:26I wish I had my heels on now. I'm like a little midget.

0:14:28 > 0:14:30- Let's do one. Just one. - Oh, you're so sweet.

0:14:30 > 0:14:32Oi! Pick it up!

0:14:32 > 0:14:35- Pick it up. - Right, OK.

0:14:35 > 0:14:37Have you spotted any trends this season?

0:14:37 > 0:14:39The main trend I think is the death of the high heel.

0:14:39 > 0:14:41- That's something that I noticed. - I love that.

0:14:41 > 0:14:42- So happy. - So happy.

0:14:42 > 0:14:45Everybody's been wearing their trainers in the front row,

0:14:45 > 0:14:46which was amazing.

0:14:46 > 0:14:49Yeah, flats everywhere, even with evening gowns. It's been so good.

0:14:51 > 0:14:54For me, also, the emerging designers were really strong this season.

0:14:54 > 0:14:56Shrimps showed for the first time.

0:14:56 > 0:14:58Really fun presentation of faux fur, really colourful.

0:14:58 > 0:14:59What every girl wants to wear.

0:14:59 > 0:15:01Have you spotted any trends?

0:15:01 > 0:15:03That's a really hard one. I think we're...

0:15:03 > 0:15:04I think it's hard in London.

0:15:04 > 0:15:07It's hard in London cos everyone has their own identity

0:15:07 > 0:15:09and you almost don't want to group people.

0:15:09 > 0:15:12I think something we're seeing a lot of is this kind of real

0:15:12 > 0:15:16embracing of primness and femininity, but done in an powerful way.

0:15:23 > 0:15:24So we've come to the end of the day.

0:15:24 > 0:15:27It's actually quite sad I'm not going to be seeing you guys anymore.

0:15:27 > 0:15:32We've seen three incredible shows by three wonderfully talented men.

0:15:32 > 0:15:34And, um...I think that, you know,

0:15:34 > 0:15:37we've been looking for trends of what everyone wants to wear

0:15:37 > 0:15:40in the spring/summer 2015, and I think ultimately that

0:15:40 > 0:15:44what we've realised is that coming to London, they don't really

0:15:44 > 0:15:47stick by the trends, they kind of stay true to their own colours

0:15:47 > 0:15:50and I think that that's a great thing to realise

0:15:50 > 0:15:53when you're looking for your clothes of spring/summer 2015, is to actually

0:15:53 > 0:15:56go with your own personal style and what you love

0:15:56 > 0:15:57and what makes you feel good.

0:15:57 > 0:16:00That's the advice I've always taken for myself anyway.
