0:01:54 > 0:01:56I beg your pardon?

0:01:56 > 0:02:00That's rather a selfish attitude, Lucy.

0:02:00 > 0:02:05- You don't want to be like Beverley Beaver!- Who's Beverley Beaver?

0:02:05 > 0:02:09How could SHE be as selfish as Lucy?

0:02:09 > 0:02:11I'M not selfish!

0:02:11 > 0:02:14Am I?

0:02:14 > 0:02:18Just sit down and listen to my story.

0:02:18 > 0:02:23The forest we lived in was full of beautiful, tall fir trees.

0:02:23 > 0:02:26All the animals loved the trees.

0:02:26 > 0:02:32Melanie Moose scratched her antlers against them when they got itchy!

0:02:32 > 0:02:36Ooh, how I love a good tree massage!

0:02:36 > 0:02:42Randolph Raccoon needed the trees to shade his lush mushroom garden!

0:02:42 > 0:02:44102, 103...

0:02:44 > 0:02:47104...105 mushrooms!

0:02:47 > 0:02:50My best crop ever!

0:02:50 > 0:02:55I was particularly fond of fallen trees. That's where the bees lived.

0:02:55 > 0:02:58Where there's bees, there's honey!

0:03:01 > 0:03:05Mmm! Yummy honey! Mmm!

0:03:05 > 0:03:09Of course, Beverley Beaver needed the trees too.

0:03:09 > 0:03:15She used them to make her dam, a bigger and better one every year.

0:03:15 > 0:03:18Ti-i-imber!

0:03:30 > 0:03:35Hmm...not much bigger or better than last year's model!

0:03:37 > 0:03:42- Looking good, Beverley! - Yup! Another fine log dam!

0:03:42 > 0:03:46You build them bigger and better each year!

0:03:46 > 0:03:48You ain't seen nothin' yet!

0:03:48 > 0:03:54This year, I'll build the biggest, greatest log dam in the whole world!

0:03:58 > 0:04:01Trust YOU, Beverley!

0:04:01 > 0:04:03When you do things, you go too far!

0:04:03 > 0:04:08Let us know when you've finished your "log palace"(!)

0:04:08 > 0:04:11Huh! I'll show THEM!

0:04:11 > 0:04:17Beverley decided she would build the biggest, greatest log palace ever.

0:04:17 > 0:04:20Ti-i-imber!

0:04:21 > 0:04:23Timber!

0:04:24 > 0:04:27But, to build her log palace,

0:04:27 > 0:04:30she had to cut down lots and lots of trees.

0:04:30 > 0:04:35Randolph noticed first that something was not right.

0:04:35 > 0:04:37CRASH!

0:04:37 > 0:04:41Hmm... I say, who's stolen my mushroom shade?

0:04:42 > 0:04:45Then Melanie...

0:04:49 > 0:04:52Hey! Who stole my scratching post?

0:04:52 > 0:04:55And, finally, me!

0:04:56 > 0:05:02- BUZZING - Don't buzz ME! I'm not the one who stole your tree!

0:05:04 > 0:05:06It wasn't fair.

0:05:06 > 0:05:11Beverley took all the trees to build her palace, leaving us with nothing!

0:05:11 > 0:05:16- This time, she's gone too far! - She's stealing all the trees!

0:05:16 > 0:05:21Time to have a word with that busy beaver, I think.

0:05:30 > 0:05:33A word in your ear, if you please.

0:05:35 > 0:05:37About the trees, Beverley.

0:05:39 > 0:05:43Or LACK of trees, if you see what we mean!

0:05:45 > 0:05:49Sorry, folks, I've no time for chitchat!

0:05:49 > 0:05:52My masterpiece is almost finished!

0:05:55 > 0:05:58What a selfish beaver!

0:05:58 > 0:06:02She's using up all the trees, and just doesn't care!

0:06:02 > 0:06:08- I can't grow mushrooms without 'em! - I can't scratch my antlers either!

0:06:08 > 0:06:10I can't find honey!

0:06:10 > 0:06:16Well, I guess we'll have to find ourselves another forest to live in!

0:06:16 > 0:06:19So, off we went again, to find a new home.

0:06:19 > 0:06:23Beverley didn't notice her friends leaving.

0:06:23 > 0:06:27She was still too busy chewing down trees.

0:06:27 > 0:06:29TIMBER!

0:06:30 > 0:06:35One, maybe two more trees, then it should be done!

0:06:35 > 0:06:36Yippee!

0:06:38 > 0:06:43Beverley's palace was almost done, and that's all that mattered to her.

0:06:44 > 0:06:46There!

0:06:46 > 0:06:52That's the biggest, greatest log palace in the whole wide world!

0:06:52 > 0:06:56Even if I DO say so myself!

0:06:56 > 0:06:58OK, everybody!

0:06:58 > 0:07:01It's ready!

0:07:02 > 0:07:05Hey...where IS everybody?

0:07:05 > 0:07:07Where are all the trees?!

0:07:07 > 0:07:10At first, Beverley didn't understand

0:07:10 > 0:07:14why the forest looked so empty and deserted.

0:07:14 > 0:07:17Oh, no! I've done it again!

0:07:17 > 0:07:21I've gone too far and cut down all the trees!

0:07:23 > 0:07:28But what about everybody else? Where have they gone?

0:07:28 > 0:07:30Melanie! Where are you?

0:07:33 > 0:07:37Oh, no! I cut down Melanie's scratching-post tree!

0:07:39 > 0:07:41Boris?

0:07:41 > 0:07:44YOU'RE still here, aren't you?

0:07:45 > 0:07:50I can't believe it! I took Boris's honey tree!

0:07:52 > 0:07:56Randolph! Don't tell me YOU'VE left too!

0:07:58 > 0:08:04Oh, how could I? I took all the shade from Randolph's garden!

0:08:04 > 0:08:09No wonder they've all left me! How could I be so selfish?

0:08:16 > 0:08:19Oh, I wish I was with my friends,

0:08:19 > 0:08:23instead of sitting on this useless pile of logs!

0:08:23 > 0:08:27Then Beverley got angry with herself, and her log palace!

0:08:27 > 0:08:31Stupid palace! You're no good to me any more!

0:08:33 > 0:08:38Oops! I take it back! Sorry!

0:08:38 > 0:08:40A-A-Agh!

0:08:47 > 0:08:49Hmm...

0:08:49 > 0:08:54As she floated down the river, Beverley had lots of time

0:08:54 > 0:08:58to think about how badly she had treated her friends.

0:09:01 > 0:09:03Oh!

0:09:03 > 0:09:08- What brings you here, Beverley? - Run out of trees where you were?!

0:09:08 > 0:09:13I hope you don't plan to cut these down. We've just found them!

0:09:13 > 0:09:17No, I wouldn't dream of it. Never again - I promise!

0:09:17 > 0:09:20All I want to do is to make things up to you.

0:09:20 > 0:09:24How about I build a log house for you to live in?

0:09:24 > 0:09:27Thanks, but no, thanks.

0:09:27 > 0:09:30As usual, you'll go too far!

0:09:30 > 0:09:34And that's a talent that can be put to better use!

0:09:34 > 0:09:39Especially now that the forest needs replanting!

0:09:40 > 0:09:42Say no more.

0:09:42 > 0:09:47I'll plant the biggest, greatest forest in the whole world!

0:09:47 > 0:09:50Trust YOU, Beverley!

0:09:54 > 0:10:00And so, Beverley Beaver learned not to be so selfish!
