0:00:20 > 0:00:23# Come and hide out with me. #

0:00:26 > 0:00:28HE SIGHS

0:00:28 > 0:00:30Oh, hello. I didn't see you there.

0:00:30 > 0:00:33I've had a fantastic day of adventures today.

0:00:33 > 0:00:35Sorry about the mess.

0:00:35 > 0:00:38It's going to take me quite a while to tidy it up.

0:00:38 > 0:00:42Oh, you're not going to want my smelly socks over there.

0:00:42 > 0:00:44Whoo! Ho-ho!

0:00:44 > 0:00:46Oh, look.

0:00:46 > 0:00:49Even my T-shirt doesn't want to be near my smelly socks.

0:00:49 > 0:00:52Hang on a minute.

0:00:54 > 0:00:56Whoa!

0:00:56 > 0:00:58How did you get in here?

0:00:58 > 0:01:00She must have jumped in my backpack

0:01:00 > 0:01:03when I was on an adventure in South America.

0:01:07 > 0:01:10Do you know what this is? This is an armadillo.

0:01:10 > 0:01:14Now, it's basically made of armour, hence the name "armadillo".

0:01:14 > 0:01:18They use this armour to protect themselves against stinging

0:01:18 > 0:01:22and biting ants and termites that they love to eat in the wild.

0:01:22 > 0:01:26Then to protect themselves against any predators,

0:01:26 > 0:01:28they roll up so almost nothing can hurt them.

0:01:28 > 0:01:31Hmm...hang on a minute.

0:01:36 > 0:01:38I think I'm too tall to ball.

0:01:38 > 0:01:40But there are lots of other animals

0:01:40 > 0:01:43that roll up to protect themselves.

0:01:43 > 0:01:45- Hedgehogs may look sweet... - Aw!

0:01:45 > 0:01:49..but they can roll up into a spiky ball, so no matter where

0:01:49 > 0:01:54a predator tries to bite them, they'll get a mouthful of prickles.

0:01:55 > 0:01:58And you've probably got woodlice around the house

0:01:58 > 0:02:00or the garden somewhere.

0:02:00 > 0:02:03They normally live under bark and wood outside.

0:02:03 > 0:02:06They have a lot of strong little plates

0:02:06 > 0:02:08to look just like a tiny football.

0:02:08 > 0:02:12I can't think why anyone would want to eat them.

0:02:12 > 0:02:16My armadillo friend has given me a brilliant idea.

0:02:16 > 0:02:18Would you like to make an armadillo ball, too?

0:02:18 > 0:02:20- Yay! - All right.

0:02:20 > 0:02:25All you need is a blanket or a duvet any kind of soft bedding will do.

0:02:25 > 0:02:27Great.

0:02:27 > 0:02:31So, jump up on your feet, make sure you have plenty of space around you

0:02:31 > 0:02:33and that you're on the floor.

0:02:33 > 0:02:37Grab your blanket or duvet and spread out like this behind you.

0:02:37 > 0:02:41Then, as you go down, we're going to fold the blanket in,

0:02:41 > 0:02:43roll over like this,

0:02:43 > 0:02:48bring your blanket all the way over, try and tuck your feet in, too.

0:02:48 > 0:02:50And there we have it.

0:02:50 > 0:02:54Are you ready to roll? Let's do it.

0:02:54 > 0:02:57Wahey! Whoohoo!

0:02:57 > 0:02:59Yay! Whoohoo!

0:03:01 > 0:03:04Ah, that was fun.

0:03:04 > 0:03:06I'm getting a bit tired now, though.

0:03:06 > 0:03:10I think I need to tidy the rest of the room up and then go to bed.

0:03:10 > 0:03:16See you next time for another adventure here in my secret hideout.

0:03:16 > 0:03:19# Andy's Secret Hideout
