0:00:20 > 0:00:22# Come and hide out with me. #

0:00:25 > 0:00:27Erm...

0:00:27 > 0:00:28No.

0:00:29 > 0:00:32Hello. Welcome to my Secret Hideout.

0:00:32 > 0:00:34I'm just trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle.

0:00:34 > 0:00:38There are so many different shapes and puzzle pieces,

0:00:38 > 0:00:40I can't work it out.

0:00:40 > 0:00:44I think I need some inspiration from some very smart animals.

0:00:44 > 0:00:46You know, to give me a few ideas?

0:00:46 > 0:00:48To get my brain in gear.

0:00:48 > 0:00:50First up are dolphins.

0:00:50 > 0:00:54These brilliant marine mammals have really big brains,

0:00:54 > 0:00:58so they can come up with all sorts of ways to catch their food

0:00:58 > 0:01:00depending on their surroundings.

0:01:00 > 0:01:04This pod - the name for a group of dolphins - are working together,

0:01:04 > 0:01:07and when one of them tells the others the coast is clear...

0:01:07 > 0:01:09'All good to go!'

0:01:09 > 0:01:12..they all rush in at the same time to catch their fish.

0:01:12 > 0:01:15Problems are always easier when you solve them in a team,

0:01:15 > 0:01:19which is why I'm glad you're here to help me with this.

0:01:19 > 0:01:21Now, where does this piece go? Hmm...

0:01:21 > 0:01:24How about, erm...

0:01:25 > 0:01:27..there.

0:01:27 > 0:01:29Of course!

0:01:29 > 0:01:32Now, if I had lots of arms and was very clever,

0:01:32 > 0:01:34I'd get this done in no time,

0:01:34 > 0:01:36a bit like an octopus.

0:01:36 > 0:01:39Octopuses are also very smart creatures.

0:01:39 > 0:01:43They can come up with all sorts of clever ways to find food

0:01:43 > 0:01:45and avoid predators.

0:01:45 > 0:01:47This giant Pacific octopus

0:01:47 > 0:01:49fancies snacking on some crabs that

0:01:49 > 0:01:52that fisherman has caught in his pot.

0:01:52 > 0:01:53Hmm...

0:01:53 > 0:01:56I don't think that's going to work.

0:01:56 > 0:01:59The cage is protecting them.

0:01:59 > 0:02:01Hang on a minute.

0:02:01 > 0:02:03He's figured out a way in.

0:02:03 > 0:02:05'Yummy!'

0:02:05 > 0:02:07- HE BELCHES - 'Excuse me.'

0:02:07 > 0:02:11Uh-oh. Looks like he's going to get caught himself.

0:02:11 > 0:02:12But the clever old octopus

0:02:12 > 0:02:18uses that soft body to squeeze out of the small holes to freedom.

0:02:18 > 0:02:21Ha-hey! Isn't that clever?

0:02:21 > 0:02:23Hey, maybe, like the octopus,

0:02:23 > 0:02:27I need to look at this problem from a different angle.

0:02:32 > 0:02:33Ah!

0:02:33 > 0:02:34Brilliant!

0:02:34 > 0:02:38What other clever animals are there? Let me think.

0:02:40 > 0:02:42Of course!

0:02:42 > 0:02:44Ooh-ooh! Ooh-ooh-ooh!

0:02:44 > 0:02:45An ape,

0:02:45 > 0:02:47like an orang-utan.

0:02:47 > 0:02:49Orang-utans are so good at learning

0:02:49 > 0:02:52that when they come into close contact with people

0:02:52 > 0:02:56they start picking up some of our habits,

0:02:56 > 0:02:57like paddling a boat.

0:02:57 > 0:02:58'All aboard!'

0:03:00 > 0:03:04In the wild, orang-utans have learned to use leaves as gloves

0:03:04 > 0:03:06to avoid prickly plants.

0:03:06 > 0:03:08And when it's pouring down with rain

0:03:08 > 0:03:12they'll even hold leaves over their heads like hats.

0:03:12 > 0:03:15Ah, good idea, using a hat.

0:03:15 > 0:03:17Hey!

0:03:17 > 0:03:20Maybe I need a thinking hat for me to complete my puzzle.

0:03:20 > 0:03:22Why don't we make a hat together?

0:03:22 > 0:03:24Would you like that? CHEERING

0:03:24 > 0:03:28All right, then. All you need is a piece of paper, any colour you like,

0:03:28 > 0:03:32then use some coloured pens or pencils and some stickers

0:03:32 > 0:03:35to decorate it with. Now, pop it in front of you,

0:03:35 > 0:03:39and then fold one side over to the other side...

0:03:40 > 0:03:42..like so.

0:03:42 > 0:03:49Then turn it to the side and make a triangle over here,

0:03:49 > 0:03:53and the same on the other side.

0:03:53 > 0:03:57Now come down to the bottom and just

0:03:57 > 0:03:59fold over this part,

0:03:59 > 0:04:01and turn it over

0:04:01 > 0:04:03and fold over the other side.

0:04:05 > 0:04:08And then we have one thinking hat!

0:04:11 > 0:04:13Oh! I forgot to decorate it. Hang on...

0:04:15 > 0:04:18There we go - A for Andy.

0:04:18 > 0:04:23Now I've got my thinking hat on I can finish my puzzle. Excuse me.

0:04:23 > 0:04:26Ah. That one goes there,

0:04:26 > 0:04:29and that one goes there.

0:04:29 > 0:04:31Hey! It's me!

0:04:31 > 0:04:35That's enough of a brain workout for me today. I'm off to bed.

0:04:35 > 0:04:39I'll see you next time for another adventure in my Secret Hideout.

0:04:40 > 0:04:43# Andy's Secret Hideout
