0:02:20 > 0:02:26- Hi, Andy!- What is this you're making?

0:02:26 > 0:02:31This is my completely cool Kitty Kite.

0:02:31 > 0:02:35Next time we have a windy day, I'm going to take it into the garden

0:02:35 > 0:02:39and you'll see the quickest kite in the world

0:02:39 > 0:02:42or at least in the garden.

0:02:42 > 0:02:48- I can't wait to try it out, Kip. - Me too, I love flying kites.

0:02:49 > 0:02:53- So, what have you been up to? - I've had a great morning.

0:02:53 > 0:02:56I took the baby wallaby to Wallaby Woods

0:02:56 > 0:02:58to hop around for the very first time.

0:02:58 > 0:03:00I know how he feels.

0:03:00 > 0:03:04I'm always nervous when I do something new for the first time.

0:03:04 > 0:03:08Me too. But I guess you just have to be brave.

0:03:08 > 0:03:11Hey, there's one animal that has to be really brave.

0:03:11 > 0:03:14Really? Which animals are those?

0:03:14 > 0:03:17There are lots of them but the animals I'm thinking of

0:03:17 > 0:03:21are called crested penguins and they live in New Zealand.

0:03:21 > 0:03:23Crested penguins?

0:03:23 > 0:03:28Yes, you should see them, Pip, they have to climb down a cliff,

0:03:28 > 0:03:33walk through a forest and then they have to deal with the waves

0:03:33 > 0:03:36- battering against the shore. - Oh, yikes!

0:03:36 > 0:03:39No wonder they are doing cartwheels and somersaults

0:03:39 > 0:03:41as they try and get into the water.

0:03:41 > 0:03:45Penguins doing somersaults? I'd like to see that.

0:03:45 > 0:03:47You know what this means, don't you, Kip?

0:03:47 > 0:03:49BOTH: Time to go on a wild adventure.

0:03:49 > 0:03:53We get to see penguins going into the water for the first time.

0:03:53 > 0:03:57Yeah, and we can also test out my completely cool Kitty Kite.

0:03:57 > 0:04:01What are we waiting for? Let's do it.

0:04:02 > 0:04:06- One, gadget pack.- Check.

0:04:06 > 0:04:10- Two, gizmo.- Check.

0:04:10 > 0:04:12Three, my completely cool Kitty Kite.

0:04:12 > 0:04:16- Check.- Just in case we need it.

0:04:16 > 0:04:20And last but not least, the Kipmobile.

0:04:20 > 0:04:22Seatbelts on.

0:04:23 > 0:04:26Hit it, Kip!

0:04:26 > 0:04:30MUSIC

0:04:59 > 0:05:02Lift off!

0:05:08 > 0:05:13- Come on!- We're in space. - So, where to, Andy?- New Zealand, Kip.

0:05:13 > 0:05:17That's where we'll find our cute crested penguins.

0:05:17 > 0:05:22Then, New Zealand, here we come. Go, Cat Nav, go!

0:05:22 > 0:05:26- Going down!- Ah!

0:05:41 > 0:05:46There we go, Kip. Down there. That's where the crested penguins live.

0:05:46 > 0:05:49Are you sure we've come to the right place, Andy?

0:05:49 > 0:05:53I thought penguins lived in really cold snowy places.

0:05:53 > 0:05:57Most of them do but there's one group of crested penguins

0:05:57 > 0:06:01that live here. Come on, let's land.

0:06:09 > 0:06:14- This forest is beautiful. - It certainly is, Kip.

0:06:14 > 0:06:20- CAWING What's that strange sound? - That is a kakapo.

0:06:20 > 0:06:24- A kaka-who?- A kakapo, it's the world's largest parrot.

0:06:24 > 0:06:29And just like penguins, they can't fly either.

0:06:29 > 0:06:34The biggest parrot in the world.

0:06:34 > 0:06:36Yeah. Right, come on then.

0:06:36 > 0:06:42Actually, you know what? I might just stay in the Kipmobile.

0:06:42 > 0:06:47- We wouldn't want it to overheat now, would we?- I guess not, Kip.

0:06:47 > 0:06:53- Be careful, Andy.- Careful, Kip? I'm always careful. See you later.

0:06:53 > 0:06:55Penguins, where are you?

0:07:01 > 0:07:04Kapa...po.

0:07:12 > 0:07:16Wow! A-ha! Here they are.

0:07:16 > 0:07:21I've found where the crested penguins live.

0:07:21 > 0:07:23They live right in the middle of the forest.

0:07:23 > 0:07:27Now, it's much easier to walk around the forest

0:07:27 > 0:07:29when you are as small as they are.

0:07:29 > 0:07:34I'm going to shrink down to their size. Size of a crested penguin.

0:07:34 > 0:07:37Here goes!

0:07:40 > 0:07:44Perfect. Now I'm their height, I'm going to follow them.

0:07:46 > 0:07:51The biggest parrots in the world, he says. But how big?

0:07:51 > 0:07:55Are they as big as me? As big as a car?

0:07:55 > 0:07:58Or as big as a house? Oh!

0:07:58 > 0:08:03What's that? Oh no! They're coming this way!

0:08:03 > 0:08:06Oh, it's not that big!

0:08:06 > 0:08:11And look, they can't even fly!

0:08:11 > 0:08:16But it certainly can run! See you later, kakapo.

0:08:30 > 0:08:35And now we can see why they are called crested penguins.

0:08:35 > 0:08:40Because it looks like they've got really long blonde eyebrows

0:08:40 > 0:08:41that go all the way back.

0:08:41 > 0:08:45They have got a crest of yellow feathers

0:08:45 > 0:08:47that sit on their head like this.

0:08:47 > 0:08:55Ah, look at the baby chick. He looks all fluffy and cute.

0:08:55 > 0:08:58Oh, and the young ones over there

0:08:58 > 0:09:01look like they're asking for food.

0:09:01 > 0:09:04Hang on, wait for me.

0:09:04 > 0:09:06It's great being this size.

0:09:06 > 0:09:10It means I can go anywhere that penguins go.

0:09:10 > 0:09:14They must be heading to the sea.

0:09:21 > 0:09:23Excuse me.

0:09:25 > 0:09:28Isn't this great?

0:09:38 > 0:09:42These penguins are going fishing for the first time.

0:09:42 > 0:09:45But because they're penguins, they can't fly,

0:09:45 > 0:09:50which means they have to climb down this huge cliff.

0:09:51 > 0:09:55'Hi, Andy, is everything all right?'

0:09:55 > 0:09:58Hi, Kip. Yes, everything is great.

0:09:58 > 0:10:01I followed these penguins out of the forest.

0:10:01 > 0:10:06They are climbing down this huge cliff. Look how steep it is.

0:10:06 > 0:10:10They're braver than I am. How am I going to get done this cliff?

0:10:10 > 0:10:13I know, my completely cool Kitty Kite.

0:10:13 > 0:10:18- You can use it as a parachute and float down.- Great idea, Kip.

0:10:18 > 0:10:21You are a genius, nice one.

0:10:26 > 0:10:31Right, I'm all set. I hope this works.

0:10:31 > 0:10:37Ready, one, two, three. Into the wild.

0:10:38 > 0:10:41Here I come, penguins. I'm floating.

0:10:41 > 0:10:46Be careful down there. Make sure you don't slip.

0:10:46 > 0:10:49Wow!

0:10:51 > 0:10:57Watch out, here I come. Prepare for landing.

0:10:59 > 0:11:02I'm glad I didn't have to climb down that cliff

0:11:02 > 0:11:06like these brave young penguins here.

0:11:06 > 0:11:09But their adventure is still not over.

0:11:09 > 0:11:12If they are going to catch some fish,

0:11:12 > 0:11:15they need to jump into the ocean for the first time.

0:11:16 > 0:11:20And look, here they go.

0:11:26 > 0:11:29This is exactly what I wanted to show you.

0:11:29 > 0:11:34Look at them, somersaulting, cartwheeling. Head over heels.

0:11:34 > 0:11:37They are tough, aren't they?

0:11:37 > 0:11:41Penguins have a thick layer of fat underneath their feathers

0:11:41 > 0:11:43so they don't get hurt.

0:11:43 > 0:11:45It acts like a cushion.

0:11:45 > 0:11:50I don't have that so I am going to stay here where it is safe.

0:11:50 > 0:11:55Wow! This isn't good.

0:11:55 > 0:11:59I am not sure how much longer

0:11:59 > 0:12:04I can hold on to this slimy seaweed for.

0:12:04 > 0:12:08Kip!

0:12:08 > 0:12:12- Kip!- It's all right, Andy, I'm coming.

0:12:12 > 0:12:17Nice one, Kip, I knew I could count on you.

0:12:17 > 0:12:23- Andy, upload. - See you later, penguins.

0:12:25 > 0:12:29Nice one, for a moment, I thought I was going to slide off

0:12:29 > 0:12:32this slippery seaweed and slip into the sea.

0:12:32 > 0:12:35Not with me around. Come on, let's head home.

0:12:35 > 0:12:38Good idea.

0:12:39 > 0:12:44MUSIC

0:13:04 > 0:13:09'Andy, come in, Andy. Andy, are you receiving? Over.'

0:13:09 > 0:13:12It's Mr Pickles, the boss.

0:13:12 > 0:13:17Hello, Mr Pickles, Andy here receiving loud and clear. Over.'

0:13:17 > 0:13:20'Is everything all right?

0:13:20 > 0:13:24'You haven't been answering your walkie-talkie. Over.'

0:13:24 > 0:13:27Yes, everything is fine. I have just been...um...

0:13:27 > 0:13:30Seaweed, seaweed. Andy, the seaweed.

0:13:30 > 0:13:36I've just been collecting some seaweed for the seahorses, over.

0:13:36 > 0:13:42- 'Well done, Andy, excellent job. Pickles out.'- Thanks, Kip.

0:13:42 > 0:13:46- What are friends for? - See you next time.
