0:12:13 > 0:12:16We have to work together as a band.
0:12:17 > 0:12:19Take your spot, Nue.
0:12:19 > 0:12:22I'll lift you up, Nue. You're so spoiled.
0:12:22 > 0:12:25You're getting just as spoiled as Tuna. Very nice. Come on, guys.
0:12:25 > 0:12:28Now it's just gonna be piano. Some drums, please.
0:12:28 > 0:12:31As mum and bandleader, Tuna's got to set an example
0:12:31 > 0:12:33to the other members of the band.
0:12:33 > 0:12:37Otherwise rehearsals just don't get off the ground.
0:12:37 > 0:12:38But no-one wants to play.
0:12:38 > 0:12:41There's just a lot of hanging around.
0:12:46 > 0:12:50Nice. Some drums, please.

0:13:00 > 0:13:02No glaring.
0:13:02 > 0:13:07With a sold-out gig tomorrow, their fans expect a great performance.
0:13:09 > 0:13:12- But the rehearsal isn't going to plan.- I seriously...
0:13:12 > 0:13:16I can't move another table in here so you have your own stage.
0:13:18 > 0:13:20There's enough space for you there.
0:13:20 > 0:13:22You're gonna be like this?
0:13:22 > 0:13:25They've barely rehearsed one track.
0:13:25 > 0:13:27It's all a bit of a shambles.
0:13:27 > 0:13:29Hey, hey, hey, hey. Stop.
0:13:29 > 0:13:31Stop, guys, seriously.
0:13:31 > 0:13:34This show actually has sold out,
0:13:34 > 0:13:35with a waiting list,
0:13:35 > 0:13:40so a lot of people are anxious to see the Acro-Cats and mainly Tuna.
0:13:40 > 0:13:44Sometimes they'll cheer, "Tuna! Tuna! Tuna! Tuna!"
0:13:44 > 0:13:48Pre-gig nerves seem to be getting to everyone.
0:13:50 > 0:13:52All right. Rest up.
0:13:52 > 0:13:55Big show tomorrow.
0:13:55 > 0:13:57Will The Rock Cats get over their last-minute nerves
0:13:57 > 0:14:00and put on a storming performance?
0:14:00 > 0:14:04Or are their devoted fans set to be disappointed?
0:14:07 > 0:14:09BLEATING
0:14:10 > 0:14:13Hey, sheep, I've got some questions for you. Here we go.
0:14:13 > 0:14:18When sweaters get wet, they shrink, so why don't you?
0:14:19 > 0:14:23And also how do you know when the wool's being pulled over your eyes?
0:14:23 > 0:14:28And, listen, when a shepherd counts sheep, why doesn't he fall asleep?
0:14:28 > 0:14:32And do you count people to go to sleep?
0:14:32 > 0:14:34All these questions
0:14:34 > 0:14:36and no answers.
0:14:40 > 0:14:43We're off to Essex in England.
0:14:54 > 0:14:57This is Boydells Dairy Farm, home to 300 sheep.
0:14:57 > 0:15:01Cream of the flock is six-year-old Buttercup.
0:15:04 > 0:15:07She's the farm's biggest milk producer.
0:15:07 > 0:15:12But she's about to be challenged for the top spot by rival Daisy.
0:15:12 > 0:15:17They're both mum to seven kids and both have unusually large udders.
0:15:17 > 0:15:18That's a lot of milk.
0:15:20 > 0:15:22Farmer Kiley is their boss.
0:15:22 > 0:15:26I'm a dairy sheep farmer, one of only about 30 farms
0:15:26 > 0:15:27in this country milking sheep.
0:15:27 > 0:15:30I've got just over 300 sheep.
0:15:30 > 0:15:35Milking just over 200 of them at the minute.
0:15:35 > 0:15:38We produce about 60,000 litres of sheep's milk a year.
0:15:38 > 0:15:42This is Buttercup,
0:15:42 > 0:15:44my favourite sheep last year.
0:15:44 > 0:15:46Milked really well.
0:15:46 > 0:15:48And this here is Daisy.
0:15:48 > 0:15:50She's a bit fidgety.
0:15:50 > 0:15:53But Daisy's rivalling Buttercup.
0:15:53 > 0:15:56This year, she's doing really well,
0:15:56 > 0:15:59so I think it's a good bit of competition.
0:16:03 > 0:16:0640 years ago, there was only one or two people doing it as a hobby.
0:16:06 > 0:16:09700 years ago, lots of people milked sheep
0:16:09 > 0:16:12and not many people milked cows.
0:16:13 > 0:16:16Once a month, we measure how much milk each sheep gives
0:16:16 > 0:16:20and that way I can calculate which ones are giving the most milk
0:16:20 > 0:16:23and I know who to breed my replacement sheep from.
0:16:23 > 0:16:27This here is a tank that could hold just over 600 litres.
0:16:27 > 0:16:30The average sheep will give around 300 litres of milk,
0:16:30 > 0:16:32so around here somewhere.
0:16:32 > 0:16:37Last year, Buttercup gave up here, Daisy, down here.
0:16:37 > 0:16:40So I'm wondering, by the end of the year,
0:16:40 > 0:16:43which one will have filled it to the top.
0:16:43 > 0:16:47The milk is used to make cheese, yoghurt and ice cream.
0:16:47 > 0:16:49Daisy has never produced as much milk as Buttercup,
0:16:49 > 0:16:52but lately she's been catching up.
0:16:52 > 0:16:56And what's the best way to find out who's the farm's champion milker?
0:16:56 > 0:16:58A milking contest!
0:16:58 > 0:17:02Kiley has asked some volunteers to lend a hand, and it's the first time
0:17:02 > 0:17:04any of them have milked a sheep.
0:17:04 > 0:17:08I'm quite nervous, but I'm not terribly nervous.
0:17:10 > 0:17:12No! That's my hair.
0:17:12 > 0:17:14We're milking Buttercup.
0:17:14 > 0:17:18We think we're gonna win, but we've never done it before.
0:17:18 > 0:17:21Put this down here. What you need to do, you can go one on each side.
0:17:21 > 0:17:23You take hold of the teat,
0:17:23 > 0:17:27squeeze at the top and just slide your fingers down.
0:17:27 > 0:17:30It's Buttercup to start.
0:17:33 > 0:17:35It's really warm.
0:17:35 > 0:17:38Squeeze at the top and just slide your finger down.
0:17:38 > 0:17:41It's really difficult.
0:17:41 > 0:17:44Looks as if she's doing well.
0:17:44 > 0:17:47Last year, she produced 548 litres of milk.
0:17:47 > 0:17:50That's almost twice the average.
0:17:50 > 0:17:52It's a little bit difficult.
0:17:52 > 0:17:55We can do that.
0:17:55 > 0:17:57Sheep don't mind being milked.
0:17:57 > 0:17:59We can do better.
0:17:59 > 0:18:01And it only takes a couple of minutes.
0:18:01 > 0:18:05- When we get the hang of it, we should be OK.- Yeah.
0:18:05 > 0:18:07But it's not all technique.
0:18:07 > 0:18:10If the milk's not there, then it can't come out!
0:18:12 > 0:18:15Not much more and I think Buttercup might be finished.
0:18:19 > 0:18:23Now it's Daisy's turn. Can she take the milking crown from Buttercup?
0:18:23 > 0:18:26OK, Daisy, up we go.
0:18:26 > 0:18:28She's looking a bit sheepish about it.
0:18:28 > 0:18:32You've got some food up here, Daisy.
0:18:32 > 0:18:33Away you go.
0:18:39 > 0:18:43It's really squashy and it's pretty hard.
0:18:43 > 0:18:46It's quite difficult.
0:18:51 > 0:18:53Different from milking a cow.
0:18:53 > 0:18:56And a goat. It's different from milking cows and goats.
0:18:56 > 0:18:58I'm a little bit concerned that the jug's not gonna be big enough.
0:18:58 > 0:19:02- OK, girls, are you about there? - Yeah.
0:19:03 > 0:19:05It's all over.
0:19:07 > 0:19:09But who's the farm's champion milk producer?
0:19:09 > 0:19:12Buttercup or rival Daisy?
0:19:12 > 0:19:16Results time. Let's measure the milk.
0:19:16 > 0:19:23I reckon she has given us, oh, 500 millilitres of milk.
0:19:23 > 0:19:26Now it's Daisy's turn.
0:19:26 > 0:19:30What a full jug and you spilled some as well.
0:19:32 > 0:19:35550!
0:19:35 > 0:19:39Well done. Daisy is the winner.
0:19:41 > 0:19:46Poor Buttercup. She's lost her title! But she's not too bothered.
0:19:46 > 0:19:48There's always the next milk-off.
0:19:51 > 0:19:56We've been looking out for your home videos of what animals get up to.
0:19:56 > 0:20:01Check out these chinchillas and their daily sand bath.
0:20:05 > 0:20:09But some of these cheeky chappies will do anything to avoid bath time!
0:20:15 > 0:20:18It's much more fun with two chinchillas squashed in the tub!
0:20:26 > 0:20:30Now it's time to go to the west coast of Canada.
0:20:35 > 0:20:38This is Barkley the golden retriever.
0:20:38 > 0:20:41He's a very special dog, with an amazing job.
0:20:41 > 0:20:45He's a search and rescue dog with the Vancouver Fire Department.
0:20:48 > 0:20:52As a crucial member of Canada's first urban search and rescue team,
0:20:52 > 0:20:55Barkley's job is to save the lives
0:20:55 > 0:20:57of people trapped in rubble and collapsed buildings.
0:21:00 > 0:21:04Three years ago, Barkley's skills were put to the ultimate test
0:21:04 > 0:21:07when Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans.
0:21:07 > 0:21:11He was one of the thousands who did their best in the rescue efforts
0:21:11 > 0:21:13to save the lives of the survivors.
0:21:15 > 0:21:21Today, the team are getting ready for one of their training exercises.
0:21:21 > 0:21:22Search for him.
0:21:22 > 0:21:25These are vital to make sure everyone's skills,
0:21:25 > 0:21:27including Barkley's, stay sharp.
0:21:27 > 0:21:29Flynn is his boss.
0:21:29 > 0:21:33His major function is the location of people that are trapped.
0:21:33 > 0:21:35He just tells me where those people are.
0:21:35 > 0:21:39Part of the training ground has been designed as an earthquake zone.
0:21:39 > 0:21:41BARKING
0:21:41 > 0:21:44The first exercise for Barkley
0:21:44 > 0:21:47is finding survivors amongst the rubble of a collapsed building.
0:21:49 > 0:21:54The next exercise is searching for survivors trapped in pipes.
0:21:56 > 0:22:01Barkley's nose for the job is what separates him from human colleagues.
0:22:01 > 0:22:04As humans shed millions of skin cells every day,
0:22:04 > 0:22:08they leave a trail of air scent that Barkley can follow.
0:22:08 > 0:22:12His nose is one million times more sensitive than a human's.
0:22:17 > 0:22:20Another survivor found!
0:22:24 > 0:22:28Not all Barkley's rescue work is underground.
0:22:28 > 0:22:32Sometimes he has to go into damaged buildings. Any way he can.
0:22:34 > 0:22:40Being strapped into a harness is another part of Barkley's training.
0:22:40 > 0:22:44This part of the exercise does not come naturally to dogs,
0:22:44 > 0:22:47as they have no sense of height and depth.
0:22:47 > 0:22:51But Barkley is no ordinary dog and he takes it all in his stride.
0:22:51 > 0:22:55The practicality of being able to raise and lower a dog
0:22:55 > 0:22:58would be valuable if we were dealing with structural collapse.
0:22:58 > 0:23:02To actually raise and lower him in a controlled situation
0:23:02 > 0:23:05is a valuable exercise for everybody.
0:23:05 > 0:23:08Should the situation ever present itself,
0:23:08 > 0:23:13we've now prepared for that eventual day. Good boy!
0:23:13 > 0:23:15We have a great bond.
0:23:15 > 0:23:18That's one of the things that you get with a dog like this.
0:23:18 > 0:23:21You get a really good working bond, a really good buddy bond.
0:23:21 > 0:23:23I trust him, he trusts me.
0:23:28 > 0:23:32At the end of the day's training, Barkley's back to the stationhouse
0:23:32 > 0:23:35and he's just one of the guys.
0:23:35 > 0:23:37Attaboy.
0:23:37 > 0:23:40Barkley's confident he can do anything the other firemen can do.
0:23:43 > 0:23:45Well, except drive the truck!
0:23:50 > 0:23:53It's back to Chicago with The Rock Cats.
0:23:55 > 0:23:58It's the morning of The Rock Cat gig.
0:23:59 > 0:24:04Rehearsals have been going badly thanks to pre-gig nerves.
0:24:04 > 0:24:07Nue, you're slacking on the keyboards. Nue!
0:24:07 > 0:24:11- Yesterday, things pretty much ground to a standstill.- Stop, stop, guys.

0:24:16 > 0:24:19to pull off a great performance tonight.
0:24:19 > 0:24:21But, right now,
0:24:21 > 0:24:26manager Samantha's priority is to get The Rock Cats on the road.
0:24:26 > 0:24:29The Rock Cats have their own touring bus.
0:24:29 > 0:24:31They travel in style.
0:24:31 > 0:24:35At the venue, The Rock Cat fans are out in force.
0:24:35 > 0:24:38I'm here tonight to see cats.
0:24:38 > 0:24:41EXCITED SHOUTING
0:24:41 > 0:24:46Everyone's working hard to get the stage set.
0:24:46 > 0:24:50To calm her nerves, Tuna's gone for a walk.
0:24:50 > 0:24:53You can't make a cat do anything that they don't want to do.
0:24:53 > 0:24:55But with not much rehearsal,
0:24:55 > 0:24:59no-one's really sure if the gig will be a success.
0:24:59 > 0:25:04Unaware of the problems, The Rock Cat fans start piling in.
0:25:07 > 0:25:13First up on stage are the support act, the Acro-Cats.
0:25:15 > 0:25:21Meanwhile, backstage, Tuna is saving herself for her big performance.
0:25:21 > 0:25:24- Here's Nue. - The Rock Cats are up next.
0:25:24 > 0:25:26Pinky's doing a solo as a warm-up act.
0:25:28 > 0:25:30All right, take it away, Pinky!
0:25:30 > 0:25:32PINKY PLUCKS GUITAR
0:25:34 > 0:25:36Keep going.
0:25:38 > 0:25:44- Keep going.- It's so good, Dakota can't resist joining in!- Keep going!
0:25:48 > 0:25:51Is that the end of the song?
0:25:51 > 0:25:53All right, excellent first song!
0:25:53 > 0:25:57The audience laps up Pinky's performance!
0:25:57 > 0:25:59OK, I am gonna try to get Tuna to play her guitar.
0:26:01 > 0:26:03It's the band's big moment.
0:26:03 > 0:26:06Will they all pull together to give a great performance,
0:26:06 > 0:26:10or will the bad rehearsal come back to haunt them?
0:26:18 > 0:26:20THE CATS PLAY THE INSTRUMENTS
0:26:20 > 0:26:23ROCK MUSIC PLAYS OVER CATS
0:26:35 > 0:26:38Tuna and the band play like they've never played before.
0:26:38 > 0:26:42They give it their all and it goes down a storm!
0:26:46 > 0:26:47Good job, Tuna!
0:26:49 > 0:26:51I was blown away with Tuna's performance tonight.
0:26:51 > 0:26:57Tuna never fails. She comes through like the rock star she is.
0:26:58 > 0:27:03Because Tuna is such a trooper, The Rock Cats are a wow.
0:27:06 > 0:27:10Hey, I just got a new dog with a talent for sniffing flowers.

0:27:23 > 0:27:27Nothing? What does it take to get a rise out of a tiger?
0:27:27 > 0:27:30You know what? You stay here and guard, OK?
