0:13:29 > 0:13:33Rasto seems to have taken to carrying the ranger well,
0:13:33 > 0:13:38but the difficult part is kneeling for mounting and dismounting.
0:13:38 > 0:13:42He has to do this with little or no complaining
0:13:42 > 0:13:44when he carries tourists.

0:18:57 > 0:19:00With that, we'll leave our novice Boonsoy.
0:19:00 > 0:19:04That's the end of Boonsoy's first day. Good job!
0:19:04 > 0:19:08He'll get to stay and what better reward for a water buffalo
0:19:08 > 0:19:09than a nice shower!
0:19:12 > 0:19:16We've been looking all over to find you the best stories
0:19:16 > 0:19:19about the craziest critters.
0:19:21 > 0:19:24Meet Dotty, she's a goalkeeping dog!
0:19:29 > 0:19:32Wow, good save!
0:19:32 > 0:19:35That dog should play for Wolverhampton!
0:19:39 > 0:19:42Maybe this dog's a four-legged Beckham?
0:19:46 > 0:19:50We're jetting back over to Hollywood, in the USA.
0:19:53 > 0:19:57Rowdy was a dog down on his luck, but this being Hollywood, he got
0:19:57 > 0:20:01the big break and now he's a movie star and getting the treatment
0:20:01 > 0:20:04a celebrity canine deserves!
0:20:04 > 0:20:06Christy is Rowdy's right paw woman.
0:20:06 > 0:20:10She tells him what to do on the film set,
0:20:10 > 0:20:13but Rowdy's day has started on the wrong paw.
0:20:13 > 0:20:17Three big scenes to do and already something's gone wrong.
0:20:17 > 0:20:19Somebody ate the prop food.
0:20:19 > 0:20:23The scene requires Bill, father, to prepare a sandwich
0:20:23 > 0:20:25and he loves Rowdy so much
0:20:25 > 0:20:29that he gives him pastrami instead of putting it on the sandwich
0:20:29 > 0:20:33and the food was in the refrigerator and somebody ate it.
0:20:33 > 0:20:34It was marked, "Props"
0:20:34 > 0:20:38so they're out buying more pastrami.
0:20:38 > 0:20:41These humans just have no manners, do they, Rowdy?
0:20:41 > 0:20:43Finally the scene can be shot.
0:20:43 > 0:20:45Rowdy's part looks easy,
0:20:45 > 0:20:49but it takes discipline to watch a piece of pastrami float by
0:20:49 > 0:20:53and that's what being a professional pooch is all about.
0:20:53 > 0:20:54And that's a cut.
0:20:54 > 0:20:56Time for the next big scene.
0:20:56 > 0:21:00This is a hard one as working dogs can't use computers,
0:21:00 > 0:21:02not even clever ones like Rowdy!
0:21:02 > 0:21:05So this is a very difficult scene to get right.
0:21:05 > 0:21:10Are we close cos I don't want to put him up until we're ready?
0:21:10 > 0:21:11Looking good.
0:21:11 > 0:21:13It'll hurt his back to do it too long,
0:21:13 > 0:21:16so if let him come down in between...
0:21:16 > 0:21:19Dog trainer Tom Roach knows the shot is difficult,
0:21:19 > 0:21:23but Christy won't make Rowdy do anything he doesn't want to.
0:21:23 > 0:21:28If we're asked to do something for a shot that's not fair to the dog,
0:21:28 > 0:21:32Christy will say, "We need to do this another way or compromise."
0:21:32 > 0:21:36She never puts the dog in a position where he's uncomfortable,
0:21:36 > 0:21:40so the dog will do whatever she asks, because he's got that trust.
0:21:40 > 0:21:43With a carefully placed piece of food,
0:21:43 > 0:21:48Christy gets Rowdy to look where the cameraman wants him to look.
0:21:48 > 0:21:52Just a bit of movie magic that the audience will never see.
0:21:52 > 0:21:54Perfection. And cutting.
0:21:54 > 0:21:55He did it!
0:21:55 > 0:21:59Now it's time for the day's hardest scene.
0:21:59 > 0:22:03This one is going to take a really long time to set up.
0:22:03 > 0:22:07He has to get it right or everyone's hard work will come to nothing.
0:22:10 > 0:22:13This is the toughest challenge of the day.
0:22:13 > 0:22:17Rowdy has to endure getting mud on his paws, then
0:22:17 > 0:22:21jump through a window, find where he is meant to be and make it look like
0:22:21 > 0:22:24he's being dragged out of the room.
0:22:24 > 0:22:27Will he do it?
0:22:27 > 0:22:30- Here we go. Roll sound. - Rolling. Quiet please.
0:22:33 > 0:22:35And action.
0:22:35 > 0:22:37Stay.
0:22:37 > 0:22:41Eddie has arrived but please everyone hold your applause.
0:22:56 > 0:22:58And cutting. That's a cut.
0:22:58 > 0:23:00Oh, the take wasn't perfect.
0:23:00 > 0:23:04Rowdy didn't struggle enough when he was being dragged out.
0:23:04 > 0:23:06They'll have to do it again.
0:23:27 > 0:23:28And cutting. That's a cut.
0:23:28 > 0:23:31Perfectly done! Such a pro.
0:23:31 > 0:23:34Ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much.
0:23:34 > 0:23:38Working with Rowdy is working with Hollywood's finest.
0:23:38 > 0:23:39Rowdy is...he's a champ.
0:23:39 > 0:23:44He always shows up on time, he hits his marks and he knows his lines.
0:23:44 > 0:23:47Not bad for the funny-faced dog who nobody wanted.
0:23:47 > 0:23:52Rowdy proves that even in Hollywood looks aren't everything.
0:23:55 > 0:23:58And we're back to Laikipia in Kenya.
0:24:01 > 0:24:06Today is a big day for six year old Rasto, the grumpy camel.
0:24:06 > 0:24:10Normally he carries cargo but today he will try and get promoted
0:24:10 > 0:24:13with his very first human passenger.
0:24:13 > 0:24:17Being a passenger camel is a lot more prestigious than baggage
0:24:17 > 0:24:21and only the cleverest camels of the pack have that job.
0:24:21 > 0:24:24The problem is that Rasto is a moaner
0:24:24 > 0:24:30and yesterday he was having difficulty getting up and down on command.
0:24:30 > 0:24:33Rasto did well in training yesterday,
0:24:33 > 0:24:36but things are going to be different today.
0:24:36 > 0:24:39He's going on a full trek with the rest of the camels
0:24:39 > 0:24:42and carry a passenger the whole way!
0:24:42 > 0:24:46Since this is the first trek on passenger duty, it's been
0:24:46 > 0:24:50decided he'll be carrying Lucas the ranger and not a paying customer.
0:24:50 > 0:24:56Rasto watches as his experienced co-workers saddle up for the journey.
0:24:56 > 0:25:00Can he keep his cool and impress Lucas in front of the tourists?
0:25:00 > 0:25:04Yesterday, Rasto had trouble with kneeling on command.
0:25:04 > 0:25:07Let's hope today he's in a better mood and gets it right.
0:25:07 > 0:25:12The camel train is off but Rasto hasn't even set off yet!
0:25:12 > 0:25:16ROARS AND GRUNTS
0:25:16 > 0:25:18Good lad, good lad.
0:25:18 > 0:25:22Camel boss, Verity, is on hand to make sure Rasto is ready for the trek.
0:25:22 > 0:25:28The caravan of camels gets going but the more experienced camels
0:25:28 > 0:25:32know what to do and soon a gap opens between them and Rasto.
0:25:34 > 0:25:41The experienced trekkers are getting further into the distance but poor old Rasto just can't keep pace.
0:25:41 > 0:25:44# She told me to...walk this way
0:25:44 > 0:25:46# Talk this way
