0:00:03 > 0:00:04I'm Ricky.

0:00:04 > 0:00:06I live in Bristol.

0:00:06 > 0:00:09I work as an animator, which is lucky because I love art.

0:00:09 > 0:00:10Goal!

0:00:10 > 0:00:13I live for art. I even dream of art.

0:00:13 > 0:00:17I draw, I paint, I make things.

0:00:17 > 0:00:18Nailed it!

0:00:20 > 0:00:22I hang out with my mates.

0:00:22 > 0:00:25Gavin, Michelle, Rich and Sarah.

0:00:25 > 0:00:26It's me!

0:00:26 > 0:00:29Most importantly, I make ninja moves.

0:00:29 > 0:00:32Some people call me the...

0:00:34 > 0:00:38Today I'll show you how to make a bag with bite.

0:00:38 > 0:00:42We'll be monkeying around with this chalk pastel primate.

0:00:42 > 0:00:45And I'd be "lion" if I didn't say we make art that stinks.

0:00:48 > 0:00:49Because today it's...

0:00:56 > 0:00:58Ah! It's a new day.

0:00:58 > 0:01:00I better get my ninja on.

0:01:00 > 0:01:02And my clothes.

0:01:16 > 0:01:20What's that noise? Sounds like someone's a little hoarse.

0:01:23 > 0:01:24All right, Gav, what are you doing?

0:01:24 > 0:01:26I'm training for the Bristol marathon and a half.

0:01:26 > 0:01:30Why are you running a marathon dressed as the front end of a horse?

0:01:30 > 0:01:32Well, my running mate pulled out the back.

0:01:32 > 0:01:35You mean to say he had his face down there?

0:01:35 > 0:01:38I'm not surprised.

0:01:38 > 0:01:40Oh, that's a good point.

0:01:40 > 0:01:43I should probably find something better to dress as, shouldn't I?

0:01:43 > 0:01:44See ya!

0:01:49 > 0:01:53Gav would be better off running in an old T-shirt, like this!

0:01:53 > 0:01:57But I'm going to use this to make something really cool.

0:01:57 > 0:01:59The Art Ninja piranha bag!

0:02:01 > 0:02:03I need to start by turning this inside out.

0:02:05 > 0:02:07Ninja skills!

0:02:08 > 0:02:10Now, I'm going to pen a shape into it

0:02:10 > 0:02:13that's going to make a fish's body.

0:02:13 > 0:02:16All the way along up here. Have a little flat top.

0:02:16 > 0:02:19Then we have the same angle going back down the other side.

0:02:20 > 0:02:23Now I'm going to cut off the top part of the T-shirt,

0:02:23 > 0:02:26two centimetres above my line of pins.

0:02:26 > 0:02:27There we go.

0:02:28 > 0:02:30Right, now I need to cut out some fins.

0:02:30 > 0:02:33And for that, I'm using a dishcloth.

0:02:37 > 0:02:39First, two side fins.

0:02:41 > 0:02:42Then a tail fin.

0:02:43 > 0:02:45And finally, a back fin.

0:02:46 > 0:02:47The T-shirt's inside out,

0:02:47 > 0:02:50so I'm going to pin these fins on the inside,

0:02:50 > 0:02:53so when I turn it round the right way, they'll be on the outside.

0:02:53 > 0:02:56Just start by unpinning here and then sneaking this through the side.

0:02:59 > 0:03:01Pop that one in like that.

0:03:03 > 0:03:05There we are.

0:03:05 > 0:03:09Once it's nice and flat I'm just going to pin it back into place.

0:03:09 > 0:03:12OK. Now I need to do the same thing with these side fins.

0:03:16 > 0:03:17Pin it in place.

0:03:17 > 0:03:19And on the other side.

0:03:22 > 0:03:23Great. Now I can start sewing it.

0:03:23 > 0:03:26So I've got myself a little bit of thread and a needle here

0:03:26 > 0:03:29and I've tied a knot in the end so that when I pull it through,

0:03:29 > 0:03:30it holds it in place.

0:03:30 > 0:03:33I'm going to sew all the way along my line of pins,

0:03:33 > 0:03:35using a running stitch.

0:03:37 > 0:03:39Always be careful, because I'm using a needle.

0:03:39 > 0:03:40Right.

0:03:40 > 0:03:42Now I can turn it round the right way.

0:03:45 > 0:03:47There we are.

0:03:47 > 0:03:50And as you can see, our stitching is all hidden and really tidy.

0:03:50 > 0:03:53Now I'm going to stick on the back fin with a little bit of fabric glue.

0:03:55 > 0:03:58This is also called a dorsal fin, a true fact.

0:03:58 > 0:04:02And I've layered up some different coloured pieces of felt

0:04:02 > 0:04:03to make some eyes,

0:04:03 > 0:04:06and I'm going to glue them on with fabric glue.

0:04:09 > 0:04:12There we are.

0:04:12 > 0:04:15I've also cut out some triangles and I'm going to put them on the inside

0:04:15 > 0:04:17of the T-shirt to become the piranha's teeth.

0:04:19 > 0:04:21Five at the top and four at the bottom.

0:04:21 > 0:04:24Now it is a bag, it means it needs straps.

0:04:24 > 0:04:27So I need to cut a couple of holes for them.

0:04:27 > 0:04:29Just going to pinch the two layers of T-shirt together,

0:04:29 > 0:04:33just cut through them both. There we go.

0:04:33 > 0:04:35And the same on this side, too.

0:04:35 > 0:04:39There we are. Now also this bag's going to have a drawstring,

0:04:39 > 0:04:40so I'm going to make that by using

0:04:40 > 0:04:42the hem at the bottom of the T-shirt.

0:04:42 > 0:04:44I'm going to cut a hole into the side of the hem here,

0:04:44 > 0:04:47just so we can get the drawstring in.

0:04:47 > 0:04:50Do the other side.

0:04:50 > 0:04:52There we go.

0:04:55 > 0:04:56Now I've got some ribbon to become the straps

0:04:56 > 0:04:59and we need to thread this through the hem of the T-shirt

0:04:59 > 0:05:01to make the drawstring.

0:05:01 > 0:05:03Now that's quite tricky, so I'm going to tape it to a pencil

0:05:03 > 0:05:05to make it a little bit easier.

0:05:08 > 0:05:09There we go.

0:05:17 > 0:05:19- There- we are.

0:05:20 > 0:05:23One side done. Now I need to do the other side.

0:05:23 > 0:05:25A tip here to make this easier

0:05:25 > 0:05:28is to hold on to the back of the pencil and gather the material

0:05:28 > 0:05:30over the end with the point.

0:05:32 > 0:05:33There you go, two drawstrings.

0:05:33 > 0:05:35Now I need to just tie them to make the straps.

0:05:35 > 0:05:39So I'm going to tape one end again to the pencil and poke it through.

0:05:41 > 0:05:44There we go. Pull it off.

0:05:44 > 0:05:47And then I'm just going to tie that to the other end.

0:05:49 > 0:05:51Just do the same on the other side.

0:05:53 > 0:05:54And tie that last one together.

0:05:54 > 0:05:56There we go.

0:05:56 > 0:05:58Now to try it on.

0:06:00 > 0:06:01Check it out!

0:06:06 > 0:06:08You don't have to make your bag in the shape of a fish,

0:06:08 > 0:06:11there's plenty of other catchy designs, like this.

0:06:12 > 0:06:13Bat pack.

0:06:15 > 0:06:18Or how about this "turtle-ly" awesome turtle bag!

0:06:21 > 0:06:22KNOCKING

0:06:22 > 0:06:24Oh, better run and get that.

0:06:27 > 0:06:28There you are, Gavin.

0:06:28 > 0:06:31That is so much more appropriate for running.

0:06:31 > 0:06:33No! I'm wearing this underneath.

0:06:33 > 0:06:35My outfit's in here.

0:06:35 > 0:06:36Now turn around and I'll change.

0:06:38 > 0:06:41So how long do you think it will take you to finish the marathon?

0:06:41 > 0:06:42About an hour and a half.

0:06:42 > 0:06:43An hour and a half?!

0:06:43 > 0:06:46You can't finish in an hour and a half, you big cheater.

0:06:46 > 0:06:48That's exactly what I am, Ricky!

0:06:48 > 0:06:50You said something more appropriate for running.

0:06:50 > 0:06:53These guys can run 120km an hour!

0:06:55 > 0:06:56Go on, get out of here.

0:06:56 > 0:06:58This costume isn't working, is it?

0:06:58 > 0:06:59I better get something better.

0:07:04 > 0:07:07I don't know about a cheetah, but Gav can be a cheeky monkey.

0:07:07 > 0:07:10Speaking of which, I'm going to do a picture of a baboon.

0:07:11 > 0:07:14Baboon, it's a good word that, isn't it? Anyway.

0:07:15 > 0:07:18I'll start by drawing quite a simple line drawing.

0:07:18 > 0:07:20First, I'm drawing the baboon's nose.

0:07:21 > 0:07:23I'm going to make this nice and dark so I can trace it later.

0:07:25 > 0:07:27Glad I haven't got a baboon's nose.

0:07:27 > 0:07:29Or have I?

0:07:29 > 0:07:30A little beard.

0:07:32 > 0:07:34Wish I had a beard like a baboon.

0:07:34 > 0:07:35And a great big mane.

0:07:40 > 0:07:43And finally, two eyes looking pretty baboony.

0:07:43 > 0:07:47Now using another piece of paper I'm going to trace the mane.

0:07:47 > 0:07:48This is going to be my template.

0:07:49 > 0:07:51All will become clear later.

0:07:51 > 0:07:54Just joining it up. Sweet.

0:07:54 > 0:07:55Now I'm going to cut that out.

0:07:58 > 0:08:00I'm not so worried about cutting into the inside shape here,

0:08:00 > 0:08:02it's all about maintaining the shape on the outside,

0:08:02 > 0:08:04because this is a stencil.

0:08:05 > 0:08:09Now I need stencils of all the other parts of the baboon's face

0:08:09 > 0:08:11so I'm going to use my ninja skills!

0:08:12 > 0:08:13There we go.

0:08:13 > 0:08:16Lovely. Won't be needing this.

0:08:16 > 0:08:21I do need a fresh piece of paper and some chalk pastels.

0:08:21 > 0:08:23So I'm going to start with the baboon's nose.

0:08:23 > 0:08:25Pop it in the middle of the page.

0:08:25 > 0:08:26Get some chalk pastels.

0:08:26 > 0:08:30This chalk is going to help me recreate the colour grading

0:08:30 > 0:08:32favoured by American artist, Georgia O'Keeffe.

0:08:33 > 0:08:36Hey, Ricky, it's me.

0:08:36 > 0:08:40- Hey, Georgia. - I like to paint desert landscapes,

0:08:40 > 0:08:42animal skulls and flowers.

0:08:42 > 0:08:44Here is some of my work now.

0:08:46 > 0:08:49Wow, I'd love to own some of your work, Georgia.

0:08:49 > 0:08:51Well, unlikely, Ricky.

0:08:51 > 0:08:55My painting, Jimson Weed/White Flower No 1,

0:08:55 > 0:08:57sold for 44.4 million

0:08:57 > 0:09:02and is the most expensive painting ever by a female artist.

0:09:02 > 0:09:07I'm not sure this baboon will make me a monkey, ie £500.

0:09:07 > 0:09:09Anyway, I best get on with it.

0:09:10 > 0:09:12- Bye, Ricky!- Bye!

0:09:16 > 0:09:20I'm drawing with a chalk hostel around the outside of my stencil

0:09:20 > 0:09:24and then rubbing the pastel in to get this lovely grading.

0:09:24 > 0:09:25If you're worried about your stencil moving,

0:09:25 > 0:09:28you can tape it down with a bit of masking tape

0:09:28 > 0:09:30or use a little bit of sticky tack.

0:09:30 > 0:09:33An important thing here is to blow off the excess pastel powder,

0:09:33 > 0:09:36not to rub it, because you'll smudge your picture.

0:09:36 > 0:09:39Now I'm going to move onto this bit, its kind of round blueish cheeks.

0:09:41 > 0:09:44I'm being mindful not to overlap the colours,

0:09:44 > 0:09:46so I'm just filling in the white spaces.

0:09:50 > 0:09:51Give my hands a wipe.

0:09:51 > 0:09:55It's important to have clean fingers when you change colours.

0:09:56 > 0:09:58I'm going to do the main part of his face

0:09:58 > 0:10:00using my lightest grey.

0:10:08 > 0:10:10Now for the beard.

0:10:12 > 0:10:15See, you don't always just fade inwards like this.

0:10:15 > 0:10:17Another technique is to rub along the edge

0:10:17 > 0:10:20and that gives you a more defined colour.

0:10:26 > 0:10:29Moving onto my last stencil now and that's the mane.

0:10:32 > 0:10:34The mane's pretty big.

0:10:34 > 0:10:36So I want this colour to fade in quite a long way.

0:10:43 > 0:10:46Now a little finishing touch of some eyes.

0:10:50 > 0:10:51OK, let's see how it looks.

0:10:51 > 0:10:54Oh, yeah!

0:10:54 > 0:10:58A nice colour gradient for a Grade A picture of a baboon.

0:10:58 > 0:11:00And I think it's so good, it deserves a frame.

0:11:02 > 0:11:05When your picture's finished, you can fix the chalk pastel

0:11:05 > 0:11:08with hairspray and it stops it from smudging.

0:11:11 > 0:11:14Here's a quick art tip of how to draw a roaring lion.

0:11:14 > 0:11:16So I'm going to start with his head.

0:11:16 > 0:11:21That's going to be a big egg shape, wider at the bottom than at the top.

0:11:21 > 0:11:24And in it I'm going to draw a big wide mouth.

0:11:24 > 0:11:27Because he is roaring. A couple of teeth.

0:11:29 > 0:11:31His tongue.

0:11:31 > 0:11:33Lions have like little triangle noses.

0:11:33 > 0:11:35Little eyes.

0:11:35 > 0:11:37And then I'm going to draw a nice big mane.

0:11:37 > 0:11:41So a wavy line like that, a couple of bits at the top.

0:11:41 > 0:11:45Maybe some ears, just between the mane and the face.

0:11:45 > 0:11:47The same distance between the two.

0:11:47 > 0:11:49Now I'm drawing his front legs.

0:11:49 > 0:11:51It's like two long stalks at the bottom.

0:11:51 > 0:11:52Little balls for the feet.

0:11:52 > 0:11:55Little lines for the separate toes.

0:11:55 > 0:11:58Body in between. There's his little belly.

0:11:58 > 0:12:04Out for his legs. Little wavy tail with a ruffly bit at the end.

0:12:04 > 0:12:06And for the roar, I want like a big wave of sound coming out.

0:12:06 > 0:12:09Draw these quick lines shooting out from him.

0:12:12 > 0:12:15A couple of speed lines round the side just to give it the energy.

0:12:18 > 0:12:19There we go.

0:12:19 > 0:12:22Another quick art tip.

0:12:35 > 0:12:37Did that picture just move?

0:12:37 > 0:12:40Yeah. That's because it's animated.

0:12:40 > 0:12:43I'm telling you, it's a magic box.

0:12:43 > 0:12:44What are Rich and Ella doing?

0:12:44 > 0:12:46- It's not a magic box.- It is!

0:12:46 > 0:12:48Totally magic, trust me.

0:12:48 > 0:12:50Get in!

0:12:52 > 0:12:55Whoa! Is this some kind of magic box portal?

0:12:56 > 0:13:01No. It's thinking inside the box and outside the box.

0:13:01 > 0:13:03Now to make this cool teleporting box animation,

0:13:03 > 0:13:07you'll need a couple of cardboard boxes, a large open space,

0:13:07 > 0:13:10some friends and a tablet with animation app installed.

0:13:10 > 0:13:13And you can put it together in just three ninja moves.

0:13:13 > 0:13:15Ninja move number one.

0:13:15 > 0:13:18You need to delegate. You need one person to teleport,

0:13:18 > 0:13:19one person to be the box master

0:13:19 > 0:13:21and somebody to direct.

0:13:21 > 0:13:22Ninja move number two.

0:13:22 > 0:13:24Right, I'm going to set up our tablet device

0:13:24 > 0:13:27and we're going to start shooting and just see where it takes us.

0:13:27 > 0:13:30The fun here is working out how we're going to make Ella disappear

0:13:30 > 0:13:31and reappear inside the boxes.

0:13:31 > 0:13:35And top tip, if you angle the boxes at the right level,

0:13:35 > 0:13:37you can hide behind them so it looks like

0:13:37 > 0:13:39you're fully getting inside each time.

0:13:39 > 0:13:40Ninja move number three.

0:13:40 > 0:13:42We're going to be making an animation loop

0:13:42 > 0:13:45which means will go to re-use the same frames.

0:13:45 > 0:13:48It's going to look like Ella here is stuck flying between two boxes.

0:13:48 > 0:13:50Now, because Rich is stood there,

0:13:50 > 0:13:52he needs to stay as still as possible

0:13:52 > 0:13:54while Ella moves across the floor.

0:13:55 > 0:13:57And each time you move something, capture a frame.

0:14:02 > 0:14:04OK, we've shot all of our frames.

0:14:04 > 0:14:05We've added some cool sound effects.

0:14:05 > 0:14:08I think it's time to take a look at our mini masterpiece.

0:14:34 > 0:14:36Oh, sweet!

0:14:36 > 0:14:38It's a pretty simple animation but it came out brilliantly.

0:14:38 > 0:14:40What do you think, guys? Guys?

0:14:40 > 0:14:42Guys?!

0:14:43 > 0:14:44In the box.

0:14:49 > 0:14:51Ah, better clean up these boxes, then.

0:14:53 > 0:14:55Don't close the box! I'm inside the box. Richard, don't. Ahh!

0:15:05 > 0:15:07I'm bursting for the loo.

0:15:07 > 0:15:09PHONE RINGS

0:15:09 > 0:15:10MACHINE BLEEPS

0:15:10 > 0:15:12Hi, Ricky, it's your mum.

0:15:12 > 0:15:14Hope I haven't stopped important business.

0:15:14 > 0:15:15Oh, if only she knew.

0:15:15 > 0:15:18Here's what's coming up on your number one show.

0:15:18 > 0:15:20Stop talking about number ones.

0:15:21 > 0:15:24Treesy does it with the masking tape.

0:15:24 > 0:15:25Om!

0:15:25 > 0:15:27This guy is anything but stony faced.

0:15:28 > 0:15:31And where there's muck, there's art at the safari park.

0:15:33 > 0:15:35- Bye, Ricky!- Bye, Mum!

0:15:40 > 0:15:41Ah, finally I can relax.

0:15:41 > 0:15:44Ricky, Ricky, Ricky!

0:15:44 > 0:15:45Spoke too soon.

0:15:45 > 0:15:47Can you make art with twigs?

0:15:47 > 0:15:49I could branch into it but not today.

0:15:49 > 0:15:51SHE SIGHS

0:15:51 > 0:15:53- Hey, Ricky.- Hi.

0:15:53 > 0:15:55Hey, it's Naomi and Ed.

0:15:55 > 0:15:56How's it going, guys?

0:15:56 > 0:15:57Great, thank you. We were just wondering,

0:15:57 > 0:16:00do you think you can make anything out of these biscuits?

0:16:00 > 0:16:01Er, no.

0:16:01 > 0:16:02But I wouldn't mind one.

0:16:03 > 0:16:05Thanks!

0:16:05 > 0:16:08Ooh! That takes the biscuit.

0:16:08 > 0:16:09Oops!

0:16:09 > 0:16:11Hey, what have these guys got?

0:16:11 > 0:16:14Ricky, can you make art with masking tape?

0:16:14 > 0:16:16OK, I'm sticking with you.

0:16:16 > 0:16:17Yeah!

0:16:17 > 0:16:19So what are your names?

0:16:19 > 0:16:21- Callum.- And Kian.

0:16:21 > 0:16:23Nice to meet you guys. And where are you from?

0:16:23 > 0:16:24- Leicester.- Leicester.

0:16:24 > 0:16:28Masking tape is a great suggestion, I'll just go and grab some things.

0:16:28 > 0:16:31I've got some watercolour paper.

0:16:31 > 0:16:34Some water colour paints and I couldn't find any masking tape.

0:16:34 > 0:16:36- Can I borrow yours?- Yes.

0:16:36 > 0:16:38OK.

0:16:38 > 0:16:41Sweet. I'm going to use masking tape to make a wild picture.

0:16:41 > 0:16:45So I'm going to start by taping it down to the table.

0:16:45 > 0:16:49And that means that it won't move and when I'm getting the paper wet,

0:16:49 > 0:16:52it won't all crease up. I'm going to take lines across the paper.

0:16:52 > 0:16:56So what kind of art do you guys like to do?

0:16:56 > 0:16:58- Drawing.- What do you draw?

0:16:58 > 0:17:00Superheroes.

0:17:00 > 0:17:02Oh, cool. What kind of powers do they have?

0:17:02 > 0:17:04- Lasers.- Awesome.

0:17:04 > 0:17:07I'm going to get a bit of masking tape and I'm going to cut down it

0:17:07 > 0:17:10to create a thinner piece so I have different sizes on my picture.

0:17:10 > 0:17:12Have you guys ever made art with masking tape?

0:17:12 > 0:17:14- Yeah.- What did you do?

0:17:14 > 0:17:16- A mummy.- A mummy?

0:17:16 > 0:17:19I wrapped up my actual mummy.

0:17:19 > 0:17:20Oh, your actual mum!

0:17:20 > 0:17:24Poor mum. I'm going to add my slightly thinner one further back

0:17:24 > 0:17:28and these masked-off lines are going to become trees later on.

0:17:28 > 0:17:32So a thinner one further back would look like it's away in the distance,

0:17:32 > 0:17:34using a little bit of perspective.

0:17:34 > 0:17:36I've also got some slightly thinner strips of masking tape

0:17:36 > 0:17:39and I'm going to start dotting these around across the others.

0:17:40 > 0:17:43I'm really building up all the masking tape over my paper.

0:17:43 > 0:17:45All right, guys, now I can start painting.

0:17:45 > 0:17:47I'm going to start just by wetting my paper

0:17:47 > 0:17:49so that it's ready for the paint.

0:17:49 > 0:17:51I'm just going to wet it all up like this...

0:17:51 > 0:17:53I'm going to start with some purple.

0:17:53 > 0:17:56Guys, I'm doing a little technique here with the paint.

0:17:56 > 0:17:58I'm mixing it all up to get a dappled light effect

0:17:58 > 0:18:00so I don't have to be neat at all.

0:18:00 > 0:18:02I can make a right mess.

0:18:02 > 0:18:03THEY LAUGH

0:18:03 > 0:18:06Now I'm going to move on to the top colour, and for that I'm going to do

0:18:06 > 0:18:08a nice rich yellow, and that's because yellow

0:18:08 > 0:18:10is the complementary colour of purple.

0:18:12 > 0:18:14Literally, just going for it with the yellow now.

0:18:14 > 0:18:16Do you like drawing at home?

0:18:16 > 0:18:17If I'm watching TV, yeah,

0:18:17 > 0:18:20I'll be sketching and drawing in my pad doing doodles.

0:18:20 > 0:18:24I'm just dotting on a slightly darker colour now

0:18:24 > 0:18:27and I want to dapple it a little bit more,

0:18:27 > 0:18:29so I'm going to add a little bit of water and just drip it on.

0:18:29 > 0:18:34My picture doesn't look amazing yet, but it will soon. Honest!

0:18:34 > 0:18:37Now I need that to dry and I'm going to use my ninja skills.

0:18:39 > 0:18:40There we go, lovely and dry.

0:18:40 > 0:18:43Now I'm going to start peeling off the masking tape.

0:18:43 > 0:18:47What's great here is all the places where the masking tape was

0:18:47 > 0:18:48has been kept perfectly white

0:18:48 > 0:18:51and I've got these really nice crisp lines.

0:18:51 > 0:18:54- It looks really good!- Ah, thanks.

0:18:54 > 0:18:56Now I get to do the long ones.

0:18:56 > 0:18:58Oh, look at that.

0:18:59 > 0:19:01I have to be careful when I'm peeling off the masking tape,

0:19:01 > 0:19:04just in case it takes off a bit of the paper as well

0:19:04 > 0:19:06and ruins the picture, so I'm just taking my time.

0:19:06 > 0:19:08Now I'm going to add some shadows.

0:19:08 > 0:19:11So I'm going to add a little bit of grey all along one side

0:19:11 > 0:19:12of all my white lines,

0:19:12 > 0:19:14on the right-hand side of the vertical pillars

0:19:14 > 0:19:17and on the underside of the diagonal ones

0:19:17 > 0:19:20because the light is all coming from one direction, not the band.

0:19:20 > 0:19:23Just doing some very quick horizontal and vertical marks,

0:19:23 > 0:19:25with a couple of quick little diagonal ones.

0:19:25 > 0:19:29I'm using a flat fine brush but you can just use a thin brush.

0:19:30 > 0:19:33This is looking really good, guys. I hope you like it.

0:19:34 > 0:19:36Are you ready to see it?

0:19:36 > 0:19:38- BOTH:- Yes!

0:19:38 > 0:19:40Get a load of this!

0:19:42 > 0:19:46You see what it is? They're trees with a lovely sort of purpley floor

0:19:46 > 0:19:49and a beautiful dappled bright yellow sky.

0:19:49 > 0:19:52Well, I think it's so good, it deserves a frame.

0:19:52 > 0:19:54So, guys, what would you rate it?

0:19:54 > 0:19:57- BOTH:- We give it a ten!

0:19:57 > 0:20:00Ah, great. Thanks for your suggestion, guys. Bye-bye.

0:20:00 > 0:20:02Bye, Ricky!

0:20:09 > 0:20:11STAMPEDE APPROACHING

0:20:11 > 0:20:12What is that noise?

0:20:12 > 0:20:15Sounds like a stampede.

0:20:16 > 0:20:22- Gav, is that you?- This costume is going to get buckets of sponsorship!

0:20:22 > 0:20:25- You look ridic. - Lucky I've got thick skin then.

0:20:27 > 0:20:29CRASHING

0:20:31 > 0:20:33Om!

0:20:35 > 0:20:36Om!

0:20:36 > 0:20:40- And you think I look silly! - Shh, it's the Grand Master.

0:20:40 > 0:20:42Om!

0:20:43 > 0:20:45Very Zen(!)

0:20:45 > 0:20:48Greetings, dudes!

0:20:48 > 0:20:50Salutations, Grand Master.

0:20:50 > 0:20:53What can you teach us, O wise one?

0:20:53 > 0:20:58Lesson number 333 1/3 to enlightenment.

0:20:58 > 0:21:04Decorative attachments for your cupboard of coldness!

0:21:06 > 0:21:07Fridge magnets.

0:21:07 > 0:21:10Yeah! Use a small stone, dude.

0:21:12 > 0:21:14Paint it your favourite colour.

0:21:18 > 0:21:21Oh, no! Oh!

0:21:21 > 0:21:23Blue is not my colour.

0:21:27 > 0:21:29Carry on painting, dudes!

0:21:30 > 0:21:33Now, let it dry.

0:21:33 > 0:21:37Stick on some googly eyes with strong glue.

0:21:40 > 0:21:43Draw a funny mouth.

0:21:47 > 0:21:51Stick a magnet on the back.

0:21:56 > 0:21:59Ah, so cute.

0:21:59 > 0:22:02Put it on your cupboard of coldness.

0:22:02 > 0:22:03So cool!

0:22:03 > 0:22:08Lesson number 333 1/3, complete.

0:22:08 > 0:22:11Cool. You rock, Grand Master.

0:22:11 > 0:22:13I am enlightened.

0:22:13 > 0:22:16You are most welcome.

0:22:18 > 0:22:19Om!

0:22:19 > 0:22:23Anyway, how long have you got until the Bristol marathon starts?

0:22:23 > 0:22:25Hmm, a little while, why?

0:22:25 > 0:22:28Because I've got an idea for some art involving animals.

0:22:28 > 0:22:30Sounds wild, let's do it.

0:22:30 > 0:22:31Follow me.

0:22:45 > 0:22:47Ninja skills!

0:22:47 > 0:22:50Come on, Gav, I thought you said you were fit enough to run a marathon.

0:22:50 > 0:22:53I haven't run so far in my life!

0:22:53 > 0:22:55Ah, you're saying you've never run so far,

0:22:55 > 0:22:59but you should be saying "so fari" because this is a safari park.

0:23:00 > 0:23:01Who's this?

0:23:01 > 0:23:03All right.

0:23:03 > 0:23:06It sounds like Sarah. Sarah, is that you? Can you take your mask off?

0:23:07 > 0:23:10Very funny(!) What are we doing here, anyway?

0:23:10 > 0:23:13Well, all your animal antics have given me an idea for some art.

0:23:13 > 0:23:15But first, we better get our ninja on.

0:23:22 > 0:23:24Are you aping my style?

0:23:24 > 0:23:26Art Ninja!

0:23:26 > 0:23:28Strike a pose.

0:23:38 > 0:23:40- Hiya.- Hello.

0:23:40 > 0:23:43OK, guys, this is Mark. He's a safari ranger

0:23:43 > 0:23:46and he's going to be showing us where we can get our art materials from today.

0:23:46 > 0:23:49Yeah, we're going to get your materials from the bottom of the park.

0:23:50 > 0:23:52- Oh, poo.- Exactly.

0:23:52 > 0:23:55And Mark here is an poo expert so he's going to show us

0:23:55 > 0:23:57- where we can find it.- Shall we go?

0:23:57 > 0:23:59Yeah.

0:24:06 > 0:24:11I have a poo fact. Did you know that male hippos fling their poo around

0:24:11 > 0:24:15- by swishing their tails to impress females?- Oh, charming.

0:24:15 > 0:24:17Well, we don't have hippos. We have rhinos.

0:24:17 > 0:24:20They only poo in one spot and they stamp on theirs

0:24:20 > 0:24:21to spread their scent around.

0:24:23 > 0:24:25You asked for poo, and here it is.

0:24:25 > 0:24:26So if you want to get stuck in?

0:24:26 > 0:24:29Not the choice of words I would use, but, yeah, why not?

0:24:34 > 0:24:37- Oh, yeah! - Oh, that's hard.

0:24:37 > 0:24:41Look at that poopy!

0:24:41 > 0:24:44Right, guys, that's enough mucking about - and enough mucking out -

0:24:44 > 0:24:45let's go get on with the art!

0:24:45 > 0:24:48Come on, Gav, you can take that.

0:24:48 > 0:24:50Yeah, this is heavy.

0:24:54 > 0:24:57We've also borrowed some dung from these guys, the giraffes.

0:24:57 > 0:25:00Well, I say borrowed, but I don't think they want it back.

0:25:00 > 0:25:01Cheers, fellas!

0:25:01 > 0:25:02PARP!

0:25:02 > 0:25:04Oh, rude!

0:25:06 > 0:25:09OK, guys, we've got our lovely tarpaulin canvas.

0:25:09 > 0:25:13We've got our great art materials, the dung, and some sawdust bedding,

0:25:13 > 0:25:14all from the safari park.

0:25:14 > 0:25:18Ah! We're grown-ups and we're wearing gloves

0:25:18 > 0:25:21and protective clothing so we can make art with some poo,

0:25:21 > 0:25:23but I don't suggest that you do do this.

0:25:23 > 0:25:26Ha-ha! He said doo-doo!

0:25:26 > 0:25:27Good one, Gavin!

0:25:27 > 0:25:29Let's get on with the picture.

0:25:32 > 0:25:36This is the smelliest bit of art you've ever got us making, Rick.

0:25:36 > 0:25:38It's got a pretty hefty whiff.

0:25:38 > 0:25:40Oh, good work, Sarah, it's looking great.

0:25:40 > 0:25:43Gav, if you can just sprinkle that over the brown bits,

0:25:43 > 0:25:44gives it texture.

0:25:46 > 0:25:48I am sprinkling poo.

0:25:54 > 0:25:56- Hey, Sarah.- Hi.

0:25:56 > 0:25:58What do you get if you sit under a cow?

0:25:58 > 0:25:59A bad joke?

0:25:59 > 0:26:00A pat on the head!

0:26:07 > 0:26:09Mark told me that one's called Ian.

0:26:09 > 0:26:10All right, Ian?

0:26:17 > 0:26:20- There's your giant bucket of poo, madam.- Thanks!

0:26:25 > 0:26:27I'm just about to run out of poo.

0:26:27 > 0:26:30Don't worry, Sarah. We're nearly finished.

0:26:33 > 0:26:34Wow!

0:26:34 > 0:26:37Who knew you could make art from poo!

0:26:37 > 0:26:39It's the Serengeti plains.

0:26:50 > 0:26:51Thanks for all your help, guys.

0:26:51 > 0:26:54And I've still got time to make the Bristol marathon and a half!

0:26:54 > 0:26:57And I know just the animal costume I'm going to wear.

0:27:10 > 0:27:12Good news, I got a text from Gavin.

0:27:12 > 0:27:14He did his marathon in the end dressed as a giraffe.

0:27:14 > 0:27:18And he persuaded Sarah to go as the giraffe's bottom.

0:27:18 > 0:27:21Don't worry, I sponsored them both.

0:27:21 > 0:27:24Today has taught me a valuable Art Ninja lesson.

0:27:24 > 0:27:2726 miles in a suit is some run

0:27:27 > 0:27:30but art using Rhino poo is my kind of fun.

0:27:30 > 0:27:34If I never see another animal again, it'll be too soon.

0:27:38 > 0:27:40Hi, mate!

0:27:40 > 0:27:43HE SCREAMS
