0:00:00 > 0:00:01Right now, though, get inspired by Art Ninja himself.Enjoy

0:00:04 > 0:00:05I'm Ricky.

0:00:05 > 0:00:07I live in Bristol.

0:00:07 > 0:00:11I work as an animator - which is lucky, cos I love art.

0:00:12 > 0:00:15I live for art. I even dream of art.

0:00:15 > 0:00:19I draw, I paint, I make things.

0:00:20 > 0:00:22Nailed it!

0:00:22 > 0:00:26I hang out with my mates - Gavin, Rich and Sarah.

0:00:26 > 0:00:30Argh!Most importantly, I make ninja moves.

0:00:30 > 0:00:33Some people call me the...

0:00:33 > 0:00:34Art Ninja!

0:00:34 > 0:00:39Today, I'll give you a whole new look with this curly paper wig.

0:00:39 > 0:00:42We light up the dance floor with a disco animation...

0:00:44 > 0:00:46..and it's a close shave with this puff-paint peacock...

0:00:48 > 0:00:50..because, today, it's...

0:00:55 > 0:00:56HE YAWNS

0:00:56 > 0:00:58It's a new day.

0:00:58 > 0:01:00I'd better get my ninja on.

0:01:00 > 0:01:01And my clothes.

0:01:13 > 0:01:14TRAP DOOR OPENS

0:01:17 > 0:01:22Hmm. Who's sending ME a parcel?

0:01:22 > 0:01:27Hey, you there. Get rich quick with Arry Arkright's Magic Hair Potion,

0:01:27 > 0:01:31guaranteed to cheer up even the baldest baldy.

0:01:31 > 0:01:36Get your free sample today and be a gazillionaire tomorrow.

0:01:36 > 0:01:38I'm going to buy that.'No refunds.'

0:01:40 > 0:01:43'Warning - read instructions before use.'

0:01:43 > 0:01:45If this stuff works, I'll be loaded.

0:01:45 > 0:01:48I wouldn't mind having long, curly, luscious hair myself.

0:01:51 > 0:01:54Of course, another way of getting some instant hair

0:01:54 > 0:01:56is the Art Ninja paper wig.

0:01:56 > 0:01:59So, I've got some strips of card here,

0:01:59 > 0:02:02about 2cm in width, and I'm going to wrap it round my head.

0:02:02 > 0:02:03To make it easier to curve,

0:02:03 > 0:02:07I'm just going to squeeze it along like this, and that makes the cards

0:02:07 > 0:02:09really easy to roll and fold.

0:02:09 > 0:02:11I've cut these strips across the grain,

0:02:11 > 0:02:14which means you can see this in the cross-section

0:02:14 > 0:02:17and I've curved all my strips of card in the same way.

0:02:17 > 0:02:19I'm going to wrap it around my head and measure it...

0:02:21 > 0:02:23..about to there.

0:02:23 > 0:02:25I'm just going to staple that in place.

0:02:25 > 0:02:26Cut off the excess.

0:02:28 > 0:02:31Just grab another strip of card and put it on the outside.

0:02:31 > 0:02:34It will just mean it's much more comfortable to wear.

0:02:34 > 0:02:37It's important to check that your staples go through properly.

0:02:37 > 0:02:39You don't want any sharp bits sticking out.

0:02:39 > 0:02:42I'm just going to make sure it's the right size and pop it back on.

0:02:44 > 0:02:48There we go. I've got five more strips here.

0:02:48 > 0:02:50I'm going to attach this one and cross over my first strip.

0:02:54 > 0:02:58Now I'm going to add more strips at equal intervals all the way around.

0:03:02 > 0:03:04So, I've left these strips long on one side

0:03:04 > 0:03:07and now I'm going to trim off the ends of every other strip.

0:03:11 > 0:03:14I'm adding extra card across these strips to hold them all together.

0:03:16 > 0:03:19It looks like some kind of Anglo-Saxon helmet.

0:03:20 > 0:03:24There we go. This is going to be the structure for my wig.

0:03:26 > 0:03:29I think it looks cool already.

0:03:29 > 0:03:31Now, for the hair, I'm going to use some paper strips

0:03:31 > 0:03:32cut from this magazine.

0:03:32 > 0:03:35To cut it up, I'm going to use some ninja skills. Yeeeah!

0:03:37 > 0:03:38Sweet.

0:03:38 > 0:03:40Just going to tear off this wedge here.

0:03:40 > 0:03:42I want to make a curly wig

0:03:42 > 0:03:44so I'm going to curl the paper around a ruler.

0:03:44 > 0:03:48The technique for this is holding the paper between the ruler and your

0:03:48 > 0:03:50finger and then dragging it over the edge.

0:03:50 > 0:03:52Going to need a lot of these, so I'd better get curling.

0:04:01 > 0:04:03That should do it. Now, using a glue stick,

0:04:03 > 0:04:06I'm going to stick them around the structure of my wig,

0:04:06 > 0:04:07starting at the bottom.

0:04:12 > 0:04:14All these curls are going in sideways,

0:04:14 > 0:04:16so I can make the hair very densely packed.

0:04:16 > 0:04:19I'm going to add a couple of strips to my vertical bits.

0:04:22 > 0:04:26I'm just covering these headbands and then I'm sticking these strips

0:04:26 > 0:04:28on in different directions each time,

0:04:28 > 0:04:30just to make sure the wig is nice and full.

0:04:31 > 0:04:32That is a big old hairdo.

0:04:34 > 0:04:36Right, it's time to try it on.

0:04:49 > 0:04:51Of course, the best thing about having hair

0:04:51 > 0:04:53is trying out new hairdos.

0:04:53 > 0:04:56There's loads of wigs you can make - like...

0:04:57 > 0:05:02..this natty hairdo of the 1700s, made from crepe paper, no less.

0:05:05 > 0:05:06Or...

0:05:06 > 0:05:09..this pointy, paper punk wig.

0:05:13 > 0:05:15KNOCK ON DOOR

0:05:17 > 0:05:20All right, Gav?Wow, nice haircut, mate.

0:05:20 > 0:05:22Gone for something different, I see.

0:05:24 > 0:05:25What's this?

0:05:25 > 0:05:28That is Arry Arkright's Magic Hair Potion.

0:05:28 > 0:05:31The plan is we try it, and, if it works,

0:05:31 > 0:05:33we sell it to the baldies of Bristol.

0:05:33 > 0:05:35It's a con. It won't work.

0:05:35 > 0:05:36Look.

0:05:41 > 0:05:44Gavin, your hair is luxurious!

0:05:45 > 0:05:49This is it - we're in the money!

0:05:49 > 0:05:51I'm off to go and look in the mirror.

0:05:52 > 0:05:54Aw, bless.

0:05:54 > 0:05:59Gav looked a picture - a moving picture, a bit like this one.

0:05:59 > 0:06:01That's because it's animated.

0:06:10 > 0:06:14It's not a great turnout. You did send out the invites, Ella?

0:06:14 > 0:06:15Er...

0:06:15 > 0:06:17Right, pack it all away.

0:06:22 > 0:06:23It's stuck.

0:06:23 > 0:06:26That'll be because there's an animation caught on the end of it.

0:06:28 > 0:06:31So, if you want to make this disco of an animation,

0:06:31 > 0:06:33you'll need a neon cable light -

0:06:33 > 0:06:36you can find these online pretty cheap -

0:06:36 > 0:06:40a pin board, some pins and a tablet with animation app installed.

0:06:40 > 0:06:43You can put it together in three ninja moves.

0:06:43 > 0:06:47Ninja move number one - work out what you're going to animate

0:06:47 > 0:06:48and make a simple drawing of it.

0:06:48 > 0:06:51I'm using a paper pad and a thick pen,

0:06:51 > 0:06:54so I can see each frame underneath as an onion skin.

0:06:54 > 0:06:57Onion-skinning is being able to see your previous frame

0:06:57 > 0:06:58before you draw your next frame.

0:06:58 > 0:07:00Ninja move number two -

0:07:00 > 0:07:02it's time to turn each of your animation frames

0:07:02 > 0:07:03into a continuous line drawing.

0:07:03 > 0:07:05Draw over your animation frames

0:07:05 > 0:07:08without taking your pen off the paper.

0:07:08 > 0:07:10Finally, ninja move number three -

0:07:10 > 0:07:13grab your pin board, your pins,

0:07:13 > 0:07:16your cable light and set up your device ready to shoot.

0:07:16 > 0:07:19Your next task is transferring your continuous line drawing

0:07:19 > 0:07:21to your cable lights.

0:07:21 > 0:07:23Be careful not to pierce your lights with the pins when you're

0:07:23 > 0:07:25putting together your animation.

0:07:25 > 0:07:28Then turn off your lights so the cable is nice and bold,

0:07:28 > 0:07:30and take a frame on your animation app.

0:07:30 > 0:07:33Do the same technique for all of your frames.

0:07:33 > 0:07:35So, we've shot all of our frames.

0:07:35 > 0:07:37I think it's time to take a look at our mini masterpiece.

0:07:43 > 0:07:45Oh, yes!

0:07:45 > 0:07:47Great work.Let's party.

0:07:47 > 0:07:49Yeah!

0:07:54 > 0:07:56Gav, have you put more on?

0:07:56 > 0:07:59This hair really suits my skin tone.

0:08:01 > 0:08:02Mm!

0:08:02 > 0:08:04That's strange.

0:08:04 > 0:08:06Uh, uh, uh!

0:08:06 > 0:08:09Uh-oh.Ah, ah, ah, ARGH!

0:08:09 > 0:08:11Ricky, what do those instructions say?

0:08:11 > 0:08:15"Use this potion with great care, or all you touch will turn to hair."

0:08:15 > 0:08:18I need some water. Calm down, Chew-Gava!

0:08:19 > 0:08:21Calm down?!

0:08:21 > 0:08:25HE CRIES

0:08:27 > 0:08:30HE CONTINUES CRYING

0:08:30 > 0:08:32Oh, Gav!

0:08:34 > 0:08:35Oh, a hairy back.

0:08:35 > 0:08:37I'm turning into my dad.

0:08:37 > 0:08:40You need to have a shave - starting with your hands.

0:08:40 > 0:08:41I've got art to do.

0:08:43 > 0:08:45As one of my biggest art inspirations

0:08:45 > 0:08:46Vincent van Gogh could tell you,

0:08:46 > 0:08:49it's easy to lop off more than just your hair.

0:08:49 > 0:08:51Hey - hi, Ricky.

0:08:51 > 0:08:53Hey, Vincent, is that you?

0:08:53 > 0:08:55Yeah, for sure.

0:08:55 > 0:09:00Please, while I'm here, don't talk about how I cut off my ear.

0:09:00 > 0:09:02Of course, Vincent. I'd never bring that up.

0:09:03 > 0:09:06Ear...I mean, AREN'T you one of the most famous

0:09:06 > 0:09:08and influential artists of all time?

0:09:08 > 0:09:11That's right. Now my paintings are worth millions.

0:09:11 > 0:09:12Here's one of them now.

0:09:14 > 0:09:16Starry Night.

0:09:16 > 0:09:20I used quick brush strokes and thick paint and it meant that people could

0:09:20 > 0:09:23feel their emotions in my work.

0:09:23 > 0:09:27Well, Vincent, I'm feeling you now but I'm afraid I'm going to have

0:09:27 > 0:09:30to cut you off - poor choice of words.

0:09:30 > 0:09:32Bye, Vincent.Bye, Ricky.

0:09:34 > 0:09:38Right, I've got myself a nice piece of white card here and I'm going to

0:09:38 > 0:09:41sketch out my drawing. I'm going to draw a peacock.

0:09:43 > 0:09:44I'm just sketching this roughly

0:09:44 > 0:09:47because we're going to cover it in thick paint.

0:09:47 > 0:09:49I'm going to start drawing the feather shapes,

0:09:49 > 0:09:51which are like teardrops, like this.

0:09:56 > 0:09:58OK? I'm going to mix up some paint,

0:09:58 > 0:10:02and what I want is the effect of oil paints but without the really,

0:10:02 > 0:10:03really long drying time.

0:10:03 > 0:10:07I'm going to get that by mixing together some acrylic paint,

0:10:07 > 0:10:11PVA glue and, the secret ingredient, shaving foam.

0:10:15 > 0:10:18The shaving foam is what's going to give my paint loads of volume,

0:10:18 > 0:10:20just like oil paint. Mix that in.

0:10:22 > 0:10:24That's the kind of consistency I'm looking for.

0:10:24 > 0:10:27To do my picture, I'm going to need a lot more of those,

0:10:27 > 0:10:29so I'm going to ninja some more.

0:10:37 > 0:10:38Ninja skills!

0:10:39 > 0:10:40Right, now, using a fork,

0:10:40 > 0:10:42I'm going to start applying this to my sketch

0:10:42 > 0:10:45and the reason I'm using a fork is so I can give it texture later.

0:10:49 > 0:10:53Remember, I want to work thick and quick because this paint might dry.

0:10:53 > 0:10:54There we go.

0:10:54 > 0:10:57I'm going to move on and add some turquoise...

0:10:57 > 0:11:00..to the inside of the teardrops that make up my peacock's feathers.

0:11:05 > 0:11:06Moving on to the light blue.

0:11:10 > 0:11:14I'm going to use the tip of the fork to blend them in and just

0:11:14 > 0:11:15drag it through the colours.

0:11:16 > 0:11:19Long, flowing swirls, just like Vincent's work.

0:11:20 > 0:11:23Right, I'm going to add some green. I'm going to start with some light.

0:11:29 > 0:11:33These long teeth on the fork are great for dragging one colour

0:11:33 > 0:11:36through its neighbour. There we go.

0:11:36 > 0:11:38I'm going to add some nice, rich yellow.

0:11:38 > 0:11:39Each time that I'm switching colours,

0:11:39 > 0:11:42I'm using a new fork, because I want the paints to mix on the page,

0:11:42 > 0:11:44not in the pots.

0:11:44 > 0:11:47Now, notice I've only done this one part of the picture here

0:11:47 > 0:11:49and that's because if I carried all the way on to the end,

0:11:49 > 0:11:52this might be dry before I got to give it any texture.

0:11:52 > 0:11:53A little bit of white.

0:11:57 > 0:11:59Right, I've got the first section done.

0:11:59 > 0:12:01I can move on and finish the rest.

0:12:08 > 0:12:12Moving onto his body, but I'm using shorter strokes here,

0:12:12 > 0:12:14to give the impression of shorter feathers.

0:12:14 > 0:12:16Onto the beak.

0:12:18 > 0:12:20Now I'm going to move on to his crest,

0:12:20 > 0:12:22and that's the feathers on top of his head.

0:12:22 > 0:12:24For that, I'm going to use the side of my fork.

0:12:29 > 0:12:31Just some dots around the top there.

0:12:31 > 0:12:33Finally, I need to finish his eye.

0:12:33 > 0:12:35For that, I am going to use a brush, since it's so small.

0:12:37 > 0:12:40There we go, a beautiful peacock picture

0:12:40 > 0:12:42in the style of Vincent van Gogh.

0:12:42 > 0:12:45I'm so happy with it, I think it deserves a frame.

0:12:58 > 0:13:00Hi, Ricky.Hey, Dad.

0:13:00 > 0:13:02Is this one of your heavy metal friends?

0:13:02 > 0:13:03What heavy metal friends?

0:13:03 > 0:13:06This is Gavin.Gavin?

0:13:06 > 0:13:09Don't tell anyone but he got a little bit carried away

0:13:09 > 0:13:11with some of Arry Arkright's Magic Hair Potion.

0:13:11 > 0:13:13My advice - sleep it off,

0:13:13 > 0:13:15or else you'll turn the whole of Bristol hairy.

0:13:15 > 0:13:18I'd better be off. Rest assured - my lips are sealed.

0:13:20 > 0:13:22He's going to tell everyone. I'm taking your dad's advice.

0:13:22 > 0:13:26I'm off for a lie down. All right, but don't touch anything.

0:13:28 > 0:13:29PHONE RINGS

0:13:29 > 0:13:31'Hi, Ricky, it's your mum.

0:13:31 > 0:13:34'Dad just told me about Gavin's hairy situation.'

0:13:34 > 0:13:36So much for HIM keeping mum.

0:13:36 > 0:13:40'If you do get rich quick, take Dad to the salon for a back wax.'

0:13:40 > 0:13:44'Here's what's coming up on your hair-larious show.'

0:13:44 > 0:13:47Comb is where the art is with this painting you can't brush off.

0:13:47 > 0:13:51Keep it under your hat, as this guy makes some monster headgear.

0:13:51 > 0:13:56You sweep up some leftover locks to create something surprisingly hairy.

0:13:56 > 0:13:58'Anyway, got to go -

0:13:58 > 0:14:01'a long line of bald men have just walked past the front door.

0:14:01 > 0:14:02'Bye.'

0:14:02 > 0:14:05Bye.Ricky, Ricky, Ricky!

0:14:05 > 0:14:07Let's see what the ninja apprentices have for me.

0:14:07 > 0:14:10Ricky, can you make art with tools?

0:14:10 > 0:14:13I'm sorry, but, today, you're going to have to do it yourself.

0:14:13 > 0:14:14No.

0:14:14 > 0:14:15Hey, Ricky.

0:14:15 > 0:14:19It's DanTDM. He's a top vlogger and a professional gamer.

0:14:19 > 0:14:23So, Ricky, I was thinking, can you make art with a games console?

0:14:23 > 0:14:25Sorry, no.

0:14:25 > 0:14:27NO!

0:14:27 > 0:14:30You could say he's in-console-able!

0:14:31 > 0:14:33Consolable.

0:14:33 > 0:14:34What have these guys got?

0:14:34 > 0:14:37Ricky, can you make art with a comb?

0:14:37 > 0:14:38Neat idea. I choose you.

0:14:38 > 0:14:41BOTH:Yay!

0:14:41 > 0:14:43So, what are your names? My name's Nicky.

0:14:43 > 0:14:46And I'm Rohai.Nice to meet you, and where are you from?

0:14:46 > 0:14:49BOTH:We're from Scotland.

0:14:49 > 0:14:51It's a great suggestion. Let me just grab some bits.

0:14:52 > 0:14:56So, I've got myself some paint, a couple of bits of paper,

0:14:56 > 0:14:59some sticky tack, and, of course, some combs.

0:14:59 > 0:15:02OK, I'm going to start by painting one of these pieces blue.

0:15:05 > 0:15:07I'm going to paint this on quite thick.

0:15:11 > 0:15:13Now I'm going to take one of the combs

0:15:13 > 0:15:15and I'm going to drag it through the paint,

0:15:15 > 0:15:18and it's the teeth in the comb that make a really cool pattern.

0:15:18 > 0:15:21So, you guys have got some art on the walls behind you.

0:15:21 > 0:15:25This is a picture of half of my face and then I drew the other half.

0:15:25 > 0:15:27That's a really good likeness.

0:15:27 > 0:15:29Thank you.

0:15:29 > 0:15:31The next piece of paper I'm painting yellow.

0:15:35 > 0:15:39Now, I'm going to move on to a really nice small comb here,

0:15:39 > 0:15:41and I'm going to do a crosshatching effect,

0:15:41 > 0:15:43so the lines go in both directions.

0:15:44 > 0:15:46So, that one's looking like this.

0:15:46 > 0:15:47It's like a farmer's field.Yeah.

0:15:47 > 0:15:50It is like a farmer's field, like when you look out of an aeroplane.

0:15:50 > 0:15:53Yeah.On my next piece of paper,

0:15:53 > 0:15:55I'm painting stripes in two shades of green.

0:15:57 > 0:16:00And, with this one, I'm going to do a tight zigzag.

0:16:00 > 0:16:03Because I've done two shades of green, they blend into each other.

0:16:06 > 0:16:08So, guys, I'm going to need some more of these

0:16:08 > 0:16:09and I need for them to dry.

0:16:09 > 0:16:12Now, I could wait, or I could use my ninja skills.

0:16:12 > 0:16:13BOTH:Ninja skills!

0:16:13 > 0:16:14Yeah!

0:16:16 > 0:16:19BOTH:Whoa!Some lovely different patterns in there.

0:16:19 > 0:16:21It's going to make a great picture with those.

0:16:21 > 0:16:24Now I'm taking a big bit of paper here and I'm going to draw on

0:16:24 > 0:16:25some rolling hills, I think.

0:16:27 > 0:16:30I'm using the thick pen to draw my lines and you'll see why later.

0:16:34 > 0:16:37I'm going to cut all the white bits of the paper out,

0:16:37 > 0:16:38leaving the black line behind.

0:16:42 > 0:16:46So, I've cut out all the white bits, which I'll use as templates.

0:16:46 > 0:16:49I don't need this, so I'm just going to put it to one side.

0:16:49 > 0:16:53I'm going to tack the templates onto my coloured pieces of paper.

0:16:53 > 0:16:55The sticky tack will hold the template in place

0:16:55 > 0:16:56while I cut it out.

0:17:00 > 0:17:05Now I need to do the rest, and I'm going to use some ninja skills.

0:17:05 > 0:17:06Yeeeeah!

0:17:06 > 0:17:08BOTH:Whoa!

0:17:08 > 0:17:11I've got another piece of paper and I'm going to stick

0:17:11 > 0:17:13all of my cut-outs down with a glue stick.

0:17:19 > 0:17:21Where I cut out that black line, I'm now leaving a gap.

0:17:23 > 0:17:25I've used different textures for different areas

0:17:25 > 0:17:28so none of the same ones go next to each other.

0:17:28 > 0:17:29And the last piece.

0:17:31 > 0:17:32Are you guys ready to see it?

0:17:32 > 0:17:35BOTH:Yeah.OK, what do you think?

0:17:35 > 0:17:37BOTH:Wow!

0:17:37 > 0:17:40It's so good. What would you guys score it?

0:17:40 > 0:17:41BOTH:A 10.

0:17:41 > 0:17:46I'm so happy with your suggestion, I'm going to give it a frame.

0:17:46 > 0:17:48Bye. BOTH:Bye, Ricky.

0:18:02 > 0:18:04I see your beard's grown back. Yeah, but...

0:18:04 > 0:18:06KNOCK ON DOOR

0:18:04 > 0:18:06What now?

0:18:06 > 0:18:08PEOPLE SHOUT OVER EACH OTHER

0:18:08 > 0:18:10Give me the potion!

0:18:10 > 0:18:13CLAMOURING

0:18:13 > 0:18:16There's loads of bald people outside. What do they want?

0:18:17 > 0:18:20Come on, mate!What do you want?

0:18:20 > 0:18:24ALL:Hair, hair, hair!

0:18:24 > 0:18:28Gav, grab the potion. It's time to make some moolah.

0:18:28 > 0:18:31ALL:Hair, hair, hair!

0:18:31 > 0:18:33Get a move on - they're getting impatient.

0:18:33 > 0:18:36ALL:Hair, hair, hair!

0:18:36 > 0:18:39Ahem!Ooh, ooh, ooh!

0:18:39 > 0:18:41I'm OK, man.

0:18:41 > 0:18:45Greetings, dude.Oh, Grand Master, just in time.

0:18:45 > 0:18:48We've got some seriously unchilled eggheads outside.

0:18:48 > 0:18:49Pft.

0:18:49 > 0:18:54Lesson number 505 to enlightenment -

0:18:54 > 0:18:57head cover-upper with scary opticals.

0:18:59 > 0:19:02Monster hat.Let's do this.

0:19:02 > 0:19:04Grab a baseball cap and an old sock.

0:19:05 > 0:19:08Cut the end off the sock and keep hold of the toes.

0:19:10 > 0:19:14Cover the peak of the cap in double-sided sticky tape.

0:19:14 > 0:19:16Peel the back off.

0:19:16 > 0:19:20Stretch the sock over the cap, man.

0:19:20 > 0:19:22Grab some material and a pen.

0:19:22 > 0:19:24I'm using felt.

0:19:24 > 0:19:28Fold the material in half, draw the top of a head and a horn.

0:19:30 > 0:19:33Draw some eyes,

0:19:33 > 0:19:35and some scary teeth.

0:19:35 > 0:19:40Sharp! Cut everything out carefully, dudes.

0:19:40 > 0:19:44Unfold your material to reveal a head.

0:19:44 > 0:19:49Monstrous! Get some glue, lolly sticks and some strips of material.

0:19:49 > 0:19:52Glue the lolly sticks to the back of the horns

0:19:52 > 0:19:54and cover with the material.

0:19:54 > 0:19:59Cover it in PVA glue and stick it to the front of your hat.

0:19:59 > 0:20:01Glue the teeth to the sock.

0:20:05 > 0:20:07Glue on these white bits...

0:20:09 > 0:20:14..these yellow bits, and some angry eyebrows.

0:20:17 > 0:20:21And some little black pieces for the pupils.

0:20:22 > 0:20:25Yeah. Fantastic, dudes.

0:20:26 > 0:20:29Lesson 505 complete.

0:20:31 > 0:20:32Oh!

0:20:33 > 0:20:36Thanks, Grand Master. I am enlightened,

0:20:36 > 0:20:38and enriched, and I'm going to be rich

0:20:38 > 0:20:40when we sell our magic hair potion.

0:20:40 > 0:20:42Yeah, about that, Ricky.

0:20:42 > 0:20:47It is possible that I just might have used all of your potion.

0:20:47 > 0:20:51All of it?Right, I'm off-ski, dudes.

0:20:51 > 0:20:53Thanks, Grand Master.

0:20:56 > 0:20:59KNOCK ON DOOR

0:20:59 > 0:21:02CLAMOURING

0:21:06 > 0:21:08So many questions.

0:21:08 > 0:21:11Who are they? And who's your hipster mate?

0:21:11 > 0:21:16That's Gav. He's used up all of my magical hair potion and now all the

0:21:16 > 0:21:18baldies of Bristol are outside wanting hair.

0:21:18 > 0:21:20Stay cool, Sarah's got this.

0:21:20 > 0:21:23I can make the bald men disappear.

0:21:23 > 0:21:28BOTH:How?It's a little-known fact - bald men hate mice.

0:21:28 > 0:21:31It's not even real. Come on, Squeakles.

0:21:31 > 0:21:33CLAMOURING

0:21:35 > 0:21:36ALL:Argh!

0:21:40 > 0:21:43Now the baldies are gone, what are we going to do about your hair?

0:21:43 > 0:21:45Um, plaits?

0:21:47 > 0:21:50Here's a quick art tip of how to draw some hairstyles.

0:21:50 > 0:21:52I'm going to start with some pigtails.

0:21:52 > 0:21:56Just going to split the fringe on this one here like that,

0:21:56 > 0:21:58then draw the top of the head.

0:21:58 > 0:21:59A couple of bows...

0:22:01 > 0:22:03..and then the pigtails.

0:22:03 > 0:22:06These just, like, flowing squiggles like this.

0:22:06 > 0:22:09Now I'm going to draw a nice, big, curly do.

0:22:09 > 0:22:12It's like a cloud on your head and then this overlapping

0:22:12 > 0:22:15from the back of your head, all the way over the top.

0:22:15 > 0:22:17And, then, just a classic quiff.

0:22:17 > 0:22:20I'm going to bring it up from the ear and do a sweep like this

0:22:20 > 0:22:21out to one side.

0:22:21 > 0:22:25A couple of flicks on it and follow it back across the head

0:22:25 > 0:22:28and cut in at the same point where I started the quiff

0:22:28 > 0:22:30and have a little bump that goes down to the ear.

0:22:30 > 0:22:34There we go. There's a quick art tip on how to draw some hairstyles.

0:22:40 > 0:22:41ALL:Aw.

0:22:43 > 0:22:44ALL:Yay!

0:22:46 > 0:22:49I've finally accepted that I'm not going to make a fortune

0:22:49 > 0:22:51selling magical hair potion.

0:22:51 > 0:22:54Things are almost back to normal.

0:22:54 > 0:22:56Er, hello?I said "almost."

0:22:56 > 0:22:58Where's my package?

0:23:00 > 0:23:02Bingo!What's that?

0:23:02 > 0:23:04This, my happy, hairy hamster, is the antidote.

0:23:04 > 0:23:06I should have checked there earlier.

0:23:06 > 0:23:09Arry Arkright's Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow.

0:23:09 > 0:23:12"Spray liberally to get rid of all unwanted taches,

0:23:12 > 0:23:13"toupees and topknots."

0:23:13 > 0:23:14Awesome - let's do it!

0:23:27 > 0:23:28All gone?

0:23:31 > 0:23:33Aw! Mine's run out, too. What are we going to do?

0:23:33 > 0:23:34There's only one thing for it -

0:23:34 > 0:23:36we'll have to take you to the hairdressers,

0:23:36 > 0:23:38and I know just the place.

0:23:40 > 0:23:43SHOUTING

0:23:49 > 0:23:51SHOUTING

0:24:04 > 0:24:07Let's have a look. Oh, there's a lot of it, isn't there?

0:24:07 > 0:24:11Coffee, yeah? OK, so I'm thinking maybe bouffant? A bit of frizz?

0:24:11 > 0:24:12A nice little bob?

0:24:12 > 0:24:14A quiff? Dreads?

0:24:14 > 0:24:17But, first, I think, let's give it a wash.

0:24:23 > 0:24:27SCISSORS SNIP

0:24:33 > 0:24:35How do I look?Shiny and new.

0:24:35 > 0:24:39Gav, all this hair-ing around has given me an epic idea

0:24:39 > 0:24:42for some big art, but, first, we're going to get our ninja on.

0:24:48 > 0:24:50Art Ninja!

0:24:51 > 0:24:54Strike a pose.Art Ninja!

0:25:03 > 0:25:05Hey, even some curly bits.

0:25:05 > 0:25:07But what's the picture going to be of?

0:25:07 > 0:25:11Let me give you a clue. Stop your rabbiting and come give me a hand.

0:25:12 > 0:25:14A bit rude.

0:25:14 > 0:25:16You take that side and I'll take this side.

0:25:16 > 0:25:18OK.You want to lay the hair down in a long line.

0:25:31 > 0:25:32Look at all these ace wigs.

0:25:32 > 0:25:35They're brilliant. You can be anyone you want.

0:25:35 > 0:25:36See if you can guess who I am.

0:25:39 > 0:25:40A hippy!

0:25:43 > 0:25:44A punk?

0:25:46 > 0:25:49Your mum? Come on, now - let's get on with it.

0:26:02 > 0:26:05I'm just going to hop off and grab some more hair.

0:26:20 > 0:26:22Whoa, turn it off - you're going to ruin the art.

0:26:22 > 0:26:24Turn it off, turn it off! Give it here.

0:26:27 > 0:26:31Hey, this little scrap is a big clue to what's in the art.

0:26:31 > 0:26:34Got any ideas? You'll kick yourself when you realise.

0:26:46 > 0:26:48Come on, Gav - follow me.

0:26:48 > 0:26:49I can't wait to see it.

0:26:50 > 0:26:52It's a hairy hare picture.

0:26:59 > 0:27:01It's brilliant. I still don't get why you did a picture

0:27:01 > 0:27:03of a couple of rabbits, though.

0:27:03 > 0:27:07They're hares.Yeah, I know that - most of them are mine!

0:27:07 > 0:27:09No - boxing hares, Gavin.
