0:24:12 > 0:24:14pets, presenters and your post.

0:24:14 > 0:24:19We've only got five minutes, so get ready for your Blue Peter adventure.

0:24:19 > 0:24:22Lord's cricket ground in London.

0:24:22 > 0:24:26Known throughout the land as the spiritual home of cricket.

0:24:26 > 0:24:28Over its 200 year history,

0:24:28 > 0:24:31the greatest players in the world have taken to its

0:24:31 > 0:24:37iconic pitch to play in some of the sport's most famous matches.

0:24:37 > 0:24:42So what better place to show the world my cricket skills?

0:24:42 > 0:24:46Uh... What better place to beat Radzi with another skills challenge!

0:24:46 > 0:24:50Today, we'll be taking on the noble art of bowling.

0:24:50 > 0:24:56Modern cricketers can bowl a ball down the pitch at almost 100 mph.

0:24:56 > 0:25:00To try and get top level batsmen out, they'll have to be fast,

0:25:00 > 0:25:03clever and incredibly accurate.

0:25:03 > 0:25:07And these are their number one target. The wicket, or the stumps.

0:25:07 > 0:25:11But they're not easy to hit. They're just over 20 metres away

0:25:11 > 0:25:15and measure in at roughly 70 centimetres by 20 centimetres,

0:25:15 > 0:25:20and that's the challenge we're going to be taking on today.

0:25:20 > 0:25:22Linds, how hard can it be?

0:25:22 > 0:25:25- Have a go, then! - All right.

0:25:28 > 0:25:31- That's a lot harder than it looks. - You were terrible.

0:25:31 > 0:25:33- D'you know what I think would help? - What?

0:25:33 > 0:25:36- We need some good kit. - Good point! Let's get changed.

0:25:36 > 0:25:41MUSIC: Theme from Test Match Special

0:25:45 > 0:25:48Yeah! This is more like it.

0:25:58 > 0:26:00Ahh!

0:26:00 > 0:26:03- Clothes didn't help, did they? They've made us worse.- Linds...

0:26:03 > 0:26:06We need help.

0:26:06 > 0:26:09Craig and Jamie Overton are professional bowlers

0:26:09 > 0:26:12who've both recently been called up to the England squad.

0:26:12 > 0:26:16The brothers could become the first ever twins to play for England.

0:26:16 > 0:26:18With Craig being just three minutes older than Jamie,

0:26:18 > 0:26:22there's a bit of sibling rivalry between them.

0:26:22 > 0:26:23Which is handy

0:26:23 > 0:26:27as they'll each coach one of us as we go head-to-head!

0:26:27 > 0:26:29We'll get five balls each to try to try and hit the wickets

0:26:29 > 0:26:32as many times as possible.

0:26:32 > 0:26:35Better get started then!

0:26:35 > 0:26:37Right. I need all the help I can get,

0:26:37 > 0:26:40so what are your top tips on how to be a good bowler?

0:26:40 > 0:26:42Basically, all you have to do is run in straight.

0:26:42 > 0:26:44Use your front arm to make sure it's going

0:26:44 > 0:26:46towards the target. Roll your arm over as close as you can

0:26:46 > 0:26:50to your ear, and that's all you can do really.

0:26:57 > 0:27:00Aww!

0:27:02 > 0:27:06And then with this arm, follow-through past your leg.

0:27:06 > 0:27:09You're getting closer to the stumps. You're not hitting the side-nets

0:27:09 > 0:27:12- anymore.- I hate the stumps.

0:27:16 > 0:27:18I think Rads will do very well and hopefully win the competition.

0:27:18 > 0:27:21He's gone very nicely. He's actually swung a ball,

0:27:21 > 0:27:23which is quite impressive for someone

0:27:23 > 0:27:27who's not played that much cricket, but he looks in good form.

0:27:27 > 0:27:29I think she can win if she gets a couple of hits

0:27:29 > 0:27:31and Radzi goes a little bit off-bowl,

0:27:31 > 0:27:33then she's definitely got a chance, yeah.

0:27:38 > 0:27:39So, this is it.

0:27:39 > 0:27:43Five balls to take home the Blue Peter cricketing crown.

0:27:43 > 0:27:45Yes! I love crowns.

0:27:45 > 0:27:48No, Radzi. There's not an actual crown up for grabs.

0:27:48 > 0:27:50Oh!

0:27:51 > 0:27:53Anyway, I'm up first.

0:27:53 > 0:27:58Lindsey and I will take turns to aim for that tricky wicket.

0:27:58 > 0:27:59Epic fail!

0:27:59 > 0:28:04I'm feeling the pressure... and it shows.

0:28:04 > 0:28:05OK. My turn.

0:28:05 > 0:28:08In practice, I didn't hit one.

0:28:08 > 0:28:11But, can I raise my game for the big event?

0:28:11 > 0:28:14Ah! Not quite, but I'm close which is a good sign.

0:28:14 > 0:28:18- Good effort! - That was a good effort, wasn't it?

0:28:18 > 0:28:20So it's 0-0.

0:28:20 > 0:28:23- And I missed my second ball as well! - Are you all right?

0:28:23 > 0:28:25But it doesn't matter because so do I.

0:28:25 > 0:28:27RADZI BLOWS A RASPBERRY

0:28:27 > 0:28:30My third ball just misses!

0:28:30 > 0:28:33Was that my chance?

0:28:33 > 0:28:35This is it! I can feel it.

0:28:35 > 0:28:38I've got a good feeling about this one.

0:28:38 > 0:28:39Oh!

0:28:39 > 0:28:41Ah! Maybe not.

0:28:41 > 0:28:46And the less said about the fourth balls the better.

0:28:46 > 0:28:50No way!

0:28:50 > 0:28:53Will anyone hit the wicket today?

0:28:53 > 0:28:55So, this is it.

0:28:55 > 0:29:00My last ball and I've got one chance left.

0:29:00 > 0:29:02Yes!

0:29:02 > 0:29:04Look at that!

0:29:04 > 0:29:06Right down the middle.

0:29:08 > 0:29:09Nice one!

0:29:09 > 0:29:11Yeah!

0:29:11 > 0:29:15So, the pressure is on. Hit and I and I take it to sudden death,

0:29:15 > 0:29:18Miss and Radzi wins.

0:29:24 > 0:29:27But, it wasn't meant to be.

0:29:27 > 0:29:32Oh, yeah! That's a win for Radzi. Come on!

0:29:34 > 0:29:37Radz, it pains me to say that you are the winner.

0:29:37 > 0:29:39It was disappointing to lose, but congratulations.

0:29:39 > 0:29:42If you ever need me for the England team, just give me a call.

0:29:42 > 0:29:47I'm always available, because I mean, it's something I... Guys?

0:29:47 > 0:29:49That's awkward, isn't it? Because...

0:29:49 > 0:29:51- Next year.- Yeah.- Next year.

0:29:51 > 0:29:54Joining every Thursday on CBBC.
