0:00:15 > 0:00:20We've only got five minutes, so get ready for your Blue Peter adventure.

0:00:20 > 0:00:22I've been set an Irish dancing challenge.

0:00:24 > 0:00:27In just 24 hours, I need to train to perform a routine with

0:00:27 > 0:00:31some of the best young dancers live on stage in Dublin.

0:00:33 > 0:00:36But it won't be any old stage - oh, no.

0:00:36 > 0:00:37I'll be performing as part

0:00:37 > 0:00:42of the actual Riverdance show at the historic Gaiety Theatre.

0:00:42 > 0:00:46Under the watchful eye of legendary professional dancer Padraic,

0:00:46 > 0:00:49I quickly learnt just how hard this is going to be.

0:00:49 > 0:00:52This is so tough. Proper challenge.

0:00:56 > 0:00:59At this moment in time, you wouldn't put her on there.

0:00:59 > 0:01:03But I kept at it, and even though time is so tight,

0:01:03 > 0:01:05I've started to make progress.

0:01:06 > 0:01:09Which is good, because the performance is just hours away

0:01:09 > 0:01:12and I need to see the stage I'll be dancing on.

0:01:13 > 0:01:18OK, here we go. This is the space. Wow! It is huge.

0:01:21 > 0:01:22Oh, my goodness.

0:01:22 > 0:01:26To think that that's going to be full of people later...

0:01:26 > 0:01:29watching me do what I've learnt in 24 hours.

0:01:33 > 0:01:36It's all becoming a bit real now.

0:01:36 > 0:01:39The guys I'll be dancing with have had years of training,

0:01:39 > 0:01:42and those coming to watch expect a real professional show,

0:01:42 > 0:01:45so Padraic is really pushing us.

0:01:45 > 0:01:48..and you just turn, and you have your right foot in front.

0:01:48 > 0:01:50Good. And then we'll just take hands again.

0:01:52 > 0:01:54I'll be part of the chorus line in the final scene.

0:01:54 > 0:01:56If I'm out of time, I'll ruin it,

0:01:56 > 0:01:59so I need to make the most of final rehearsals.

0:01:59 > 0:02:02Stamp, two, three, stamp, two, three, turn. And hands.

0:02:02 > 0:02:04And one, two, three, and two, two, three, and three, two, three,

0:02:04 > 0:02:07and four, two, three, and stamp, two, three, stamp, two, three, turn.

0:02:07 > 0:02:09And treble, then go, and stamp.

0:02:09 > 0:02:11- Well done! - APPLAUSE

0:02:11 > 0:02:13I think, maybe, I'm getting there.

0:02:14 > 0:02:17So, that's it. Rehearsals are over.

0:02:17 > 0:02:18Now I need to go and get changed,

0:02:18 > 0:02:20and in just a few hours' time, I'm going

0:02:20 > 0:02:22to be coming on to do that for real in front of an audience,

0:02:22 > 0:02:26and I've got to say, at the moment, that makes me feel very sick.

0:02:26 > 0:02:27Help!

0:02:29 > 0:02:32If anyone is going to help with some last-minute advice,

0:02:32 > 0:02:34it's the show's lead dancers.

0:02:36 > 0:02:40Kiera and Ciaran, how long have you guys been in Riverdance?

0:02:42 > 0:02:45- Whoa! A decade.- And I've been here for three years.

0:02:45 > 0:02:48So how does it feel going out on to that stage for the first

0:02:48 > 0:02:49time in front of the audience?

0:02:49 > 0:02:52Cos I'm going to experience that later, and I'm very nervous.

0:02:52 > 0:02:56There is a mixture of nerves... Erm, but elation at the same time.

0:03:10 > 0:03:12- I think you listen to the music...- Yeah.

0:03:12 > 0:03:13And you just count yourself in,

0:03:13 > 0:03:16and all that concentration really comes into play.

0:03:16 > 0:03:19And the nerves are gone, and before you know it,

0:03:19 > 0:03:21- you're looking at an audience member who's clapping you.- Really?

0:03:21 > 0:03:23It's the most exciting thing ever.

0:03:26 > 0:03:29I'm trying to squeeze in practice wherever I can.

0:03:31 > 0:03:34there's going to be a whole audience there.

0:03:34 > 0:03:36Can I go home?
