:01:07. > :01:24.
:01:24. > :01:28.Thanks very much Blue Peter crew. Lovely - good to see you. This Blue
:01:29. > :01:34.Peter is interactive, you can e- mail us, send us a message and we
:01:34. > :01:42.could read it out at the end of the show. Avengers Assemble is number
:01:42. > :01:47.one at the box office. We want to know from you, if you could have
:01:47. > :01:52.any superpower, what would it be? All we want to know is if you could
:01:52. > :02:00.have any superpower, what would it be? I would be invisible. I would
:02:00. > :02:06.like to be like Spiderman. Shoot things up the wall. Avengers
:02:06. > :02:10.Assemble is about superheroes who use their superpowers to save the
:02:10. > :02:20.world. Superpowers don't just exist in fiction. If you look hard enough,
:02:20. > :02:30.you will see they are all around us. Famous author Douglas Adams once
:02:30. > :02:35.
:02:35. > :02:40.What he meant to say, is why do humans want to believe in mythical
:02:40. > :02:46.creatures when real life superpowers exist around us every
:02:46. > :02:51.day? Nature. Our planet is a truly enchanting place, with extreme
:02:51. > :03:00.landscapes, alien-like plants and tens of thousands of species of
:03:00. > :03:05.remarkable animals. The owl, whose head and neck can
:03:05. > :03:11.rotate up to 270 degrees. The bat, who can find his way in the dark
:03:11. > :03:17.through sound, not sight. And the gecko, whose sticky feet allow it
:03:18. > :03:23.to walk up walls. But there are some animals on our
:03:23. > :03:31.planet who possess their own superpowers. Here is a list of the
:03:31. > :03:39.most jaw of dropping five. First up, at number five, the weird, but
:03:39. > :03:45.wonderful sea cucumber. This ocean- dwelling creature has an
:03:45. > :03:52.unbelievable defence system. It can flex muscles to force a torpedo out
:03:52. > :03:59.of its body parts. It shoots them out of its body. These body parts
:03:59. > :04:04.are quickly regrown. Amazing! At number four, it is the humble
:04:05. > :04:09.cockroach. This six-legged ce hur has been
:04:09. > :04:13.around as -- creature has been around as long as the dinosaur.
:04:13. > :04:19.They can remain active for one month without food. Can go without
:04:19. > :04:23.air for 45 minutes and can survive under water for half an hour.
:04:23. > :04:31.They also have a much higher resistance to radiation than humans.
:04:31. > :04:37.Some people believe that one day they may inherit the Earth. Scary!
:04:37. > :04:42.In at number three, in our countdown of the top five animal
:04:42. > :04:52.superpowers, it's the octopus. This eight-legged beast has several
:04:52. > :04:52.
:04:52. > :04:57.remarkable defence signals. They can throw away an arm to get rid of
:04:57. > :05:07.predators. They can take on the appearance of a rock or lump of
:05:07. > :05:17.seaweed, giving them the ultimate disguise. Wow! Awesome!
:05:17. > :05:17.
:05:17. > :05:21.At number two, it is the colourful kammeellion. This -- cameleon. It
:05:21. > :05:27.can change colour depending on its mood or disappear. It does not stop
:05:27. > :05:31.there. Its eyes, which operate independently, can rotate to give a
:05:31. > :05:37.360 degrees of vision, meaning he can look behind him and in front of
:05:37. > :05:43.him at the same time. Put this together with its super
:05:43. > :05:53.sticky long tongue and you have a powerful reptile. Finally, in poll
:05:53. > :05:53.
:05:53. > :06:00.position, the animal with the best superpower of all Earthly creatures
:06:00. > :06:06.is... The immortal jellyfish. This see-through specimen will only
:06:06. > :06:12.grow up to four-and-a-half millimetres in size but has between
:06:12. > :06:18.80-90 tentals. The incredible thing is it is the only recorded creature
:06:18. > :06:21.can revert back to an infant and start the game of life over and
:06:21. > :06:28.over again as many times as it likes.
:06:28. > :06:34.Wow, that is impressive. So, there you go. Five creatures roaming our
:06:34. > :06:42.planet right now that could be out of a fantasy novel. Sometimes real
:06:42. > :06:48.life is stranger than fiction. can prove - you want to see my
:06:48. > :06:53.brother! I love the octopus. think cockroaches get a really hard
:06:53. > :06:58.press. They are incredible. On to another pair of incredible
:06:58. > :07:04.characters, they are Rizzle Kicks. They have invited us along on a
:07:04. > :07:09.personal journey and they are getting behind the steering wheel.
:07:09. > :07:16.# Yes # Rizzle Kicks
:07:16. > :07:25.They are the UK's hottest new music duo. They are swapping tearing up
:07:25. > :07:30.the dance floor for tearing up the UK roads.
:07:30. > :07:34.Jordan and Harley are learning to drive.
:07:34. > :07:40.Rather than taking on months of lessons, they have got just one
:07:40. > :07:45.week to master staying in control of their cars. Mirrors and clutch
:07:45. > :07:49.and positions and... They are not parallel to these in front. It
:07:49. > :07:53.makes life so difficult. At the end, they will need to prove they have
:07:53. > :08:00.the skills behind the wheel, as they take on the challenge of a
:08:00. > :08:07.mock driving test. Oh, no! It's day one of the driving mission.
:08:07. > :08:12.Their first stop is a fun fair and a date with the dodgems. As for as
:08:12. > :08:19.driving goes, this is as good as they get. I have never had lessons
:08:19. > :08:22.before. To pass in one week... It depends how intensive the course is.
:08:22. > :08:29.I have never driven anything more than 10 miles per hour before.
:08:29. > :08:36.There is a chance I could be quite a dangerous driver. This DC has
:08:36. > :08:40.failed his driving test twice, but he is eager to pass in two weeks'
:08:40. > :08:44.time. Rizzle Kicks can get on with most things, they can sing and rap.
:08:44. > :08:53.I think they should add driving to that as well. Intense driving, we
:08:53. > :09:00.can learn to drive together. I am pretty excited. We have quite
:09:00. > :09:07.a short time to learn. Ultimately I want to get from A to B and drive
:09:07. > :09:12.away and chill out without having to get a cab or Tube.
:09:12. > :09:18.Dodgems are fun, but it is time for the boys to get some real wheels.
:09:18. > :09:22.This is a custom-designed driving school and where their instructions
:09:22. > :09:26.will put them through intensive training. The boys will have to be
:09:26. > :09:30.focused on what they are doing. We need total concentration from them.
:09:30. > :09:33.They have not had a lot of experience before. I expect them to
:09:33. > :09:41.listen to us carefully, understand what we are trying to teach them.
:09:41. > :09:44.We will see how they get on. Lesson one, driving basics.
:09:44. > :09:51.Driving a car is complicated because you have to learn how to do
:09:52. > :09:55.lots of things at the same time. You have to control the speed,
:09:55. > :09:59.using the accelerator and brake pedals. Control the car's movements
:10:00. > :10:05.with the steering wheel and keep an eye out for other vehicles by using
:10:05. > :10:10.your mirrors and looking around you - that's called "observation."
:10:10. > :10:15.Observation is all the way around, just before you drive off.
:10:15. > :10:25.mirror checking, that is where everyone slips up. From this side,
:10:25. > :10:25.
:10:25. > :10:29.Jordan. All the mirrors. Last check over your shoulder. Harley is
:10:29. > :10:33.trying to master the hardest part of driving - changing gear. If you
:10:33. > :10:38.have a bike you will know that changing gears is as easy as
:10:38. > :10:43.flicking a switch. In a car you have to push a pedal, called the
:10:43. > :10:49.clutch, while you change gear. If you take your foot off at the wrong
:10:49. > :10:55.time the engine will stop. This is called "stalling." Remember, what
:10:55. > :11:03.will you do with the clutch? Let it go slowly. Very steady. Oh, no!
:11:03. > :11:08.That is why you have to let go slowly. I stalled in the last
:11:08. > :11:12.minute. Are the instructors pleased with the first attempt? A couple of
:11:12. > :11:19.hiccups. Everybody does. Jordan did well, considering the amount of
:11:19. > :11:22.time he spent in the car, he picked it up very, very quickly.
:11:22. > :11:29.After the stress of their first real driving lesson, the boys
:11:29. > :11:36.decide to unwind with a friendly go-karting race. Hugh has invited
:11:36. > :11:39.some Radio One mates to join the fun.
:11:39. > :11:46.With no gears or mirrors to worry about, the boys are in their
:11:46. > :11:50.element. Champion I got third place, at
:11:50. > :11:55.least! They are smiling now. Their mock
:11:56. > :12:05.driving test is only days away. They still have got a lot to learn.
:12:06. > :12:08.
:12:08. > :12:12.Lesson two Oman know vers. For their final -- Oman know vers.
:12:12. > :12:16.Reversing around a corner and the most difficult of all, the parallel
:12:16. > :12:21.park. Three out of the top ten reasons
:12:21. > :12:26.for failing a driving test are a lack of observation and accuracy
:12:26. > :12:31.during these moves, so the Rizzle Kicks better pay attention. Take it
:12:31. > :12:36.slowly. It is better to be safe than sorry.
:12:36. > :12:41.Back towards me then. That's it. That's nice. There are a lot of
:12:41. > :12:45.things to think about when you are doing the movements. Is that
:12:45. > :12:51.reverse? No. How you steer and looking back.
:12:51. > :12:58.Stop about now. That, mate, is bang on. Yeah!
:12:58. > :13:02.love it. Not bad for a first attempt. The big question is, can
:13:02. > :13:05.they repeat the success on test day? I don't think I will do very
:13:05. > :13:10.well. I am quietly confident. I need to make sure I don't get ahead
:13:10. > :13:13.of myself and I go through the motions slowly and safely. They
:13:13. > :13:18.have had just two days to learn everything they need to know for
:13:18. > :13:23.their test. Will it be enough to pass?
:13:23. > :13:26.Stay tuned to find out how the boys get on later on. If you are a
:13:26. > :13:31.football fan, it is at this point of the season that things start to
:13:31. > :13:36.hot up. So many questions - who will win the title, will it be City
:13:36. > :13:41.or United? Who will win at the FA Cup? Who will win the FA Cup -
:13:42. > :13:51.Liverpool or Chelsea? Who will win the Champions League? Players play
:13:52. > :13:54.
:13:54. > :14:02.their part in the team success. Footballers, a modern dead rock

:14:10. > :14:14.modern day. Behind that is the person who orchestrates from the
:14:14. > :14:19.sidelines. I am talking about the boss - but football manager. Sir
:14:19. > :14:24.Alex Ferguson is the most successful manager in Britain with
:14:24. > :14:30.Manchester United. He can still deliver the hairdryer treatment.
:14:30. > :14:37.Arsene Wenger is there master tactician at Arsenal off. He is one
:14:37. > :14:42.of the shrewdest buyers and sellers in a game. Jose-Maria neo- has a
:14:42. > :14:49.won it all in four Gytha -- different countries. There is more
:14:49. > :14:55.to it than liking football. You have to understand the tactics and
:14:55. > :15:00.the mind games. I went to Tottenham Hotspur. This is the Spurs youth
:15:00. > :15:04.academy where players as young as seven come to train and tried to
:15:04. > :15:09.become Premier League superstars. John McDermott oversees the
:15:09. > :15:14.youngsters and he has challenged me to pick a manager team against one
:15:14. > :15:21.of his. I would never criticise them if they try something that
:15:21. > :15:25.breaks down. If they are not courageous or lazy, I am bad cop.
:15:25. > :15:32.You really need to know your players in order to now have to

:15:37. > :15:44.first team train. They are under the watchful eye of Harry Redknapp.
:15:44. > :15:48.Gareth Bale has some top tips for me. What makes a good manager?
:15:48. > :15:54.Authority is one of the biggest things. Our manager shows himself
:15:54. > :15:59.as the boss and everyone respects him. If you tell players
:15:59. > :16:04.information that makes sense, it makes their competence go up.
:16:04. > :16:09.do managers get the best out of you? I enjoy running down the line
:16:09. > :16:18.and crossing the ball. When a manager let the play might own game,
:16:18. > :16:23.I really enjoy it. What about the skills? Someone who can score a
:16:23. > :16:28.goal. If I really want to win the Challenge, I need to pick the
:16:28. > :16:32.brains of the gaffer - Harry Redknapp. One of the Premier League
:16:32. > :16:38.top managers and, until recently, at the front runner for the England
:16:38. > :16:46.national job. I need a crash course on have to be a good manager. What
:16:46. > :16:52.will I need to know? I don't know. You need to be enthusiastic.
:16:52. > :17:00.Fantastic! Well played, well done. You go for good cop more than bad
:17:00. > :17:05.cop? Sometimes you have to have a go if they're not doing well. You
:17:05. > :17:13.need enthusiasm. You need a goalscorer. I would have a couple
:17:13. > :17:20.of defenders, a midfield player and someone up front. We have loads of
:17:20. > :17:24.viewers who are good footballers who may not be premier football has,
:17:24. > :17:31.could they be Premier League managers? They could. Start with
:17:31. > :17:37.your badges and work your way up. There is hope for me yet. My test
:17:37. > :17:42.is this afternoon. I am looking forward to see how you do. I have
:17:42. > :17:48.my tips and now I have come to the kit -- the kit room to run through
:17:48. > :17:56.tactics. They have said I need pacy players and the attacking strike

:18:00. > :18:07.-- strikers. That is half the job. Now I need to pick the right
:18:07. > :18:17.players to make the strategy work. I need tall players. To want to be
:18:17. > :18:17.
:18:17. > :18:24.in my team? Yes sir. Do you want to be in mind? I need nifty dynamos.
:18:24. > :18:34.- in mind. Do we have a winning score art? John really knows his

:19:24. > :19:30.frantic start to the second half. She has the goalkeeper and the
:19:30. > :19:39.biggest players but we have the style. They are playing better this
:19:40. > :19:45.second half. I do not want to lose this game. I need a tactical

:20:02. > :20:11.learned a lot of dead but you're team were fantastic. They played
:20:11. > :20:19.really well. So did yours. That meant it is time for John's team to
:20:19. > :20:24.start scrubbing. Good game! Good game! I think you would make a
:20:24. > :20:32.great manager. I got told off for questioning the referee. That is
:20:32. > :20:37.not very sporting. I look forward to seeing you in the Premier League

:22:01. > :22:11.of activities. You do not want to miss it. What you did not see was
:22:11. > :22:15.me doing an Arab Spring into a back flip but that comes later. There'll
:22:15. > :22:18.be Olympic sports to try out. A chance to be a sports commentator.
:22:18. > :22:21.Crafts, experiments you can do on your body, even a Horrible
:22:21. > :22:25.Histories area. So, let's tell you a bit more about where we're going
:22:25. > :22:28.to be, and when. The Olympic Torch arrives here in the UK on 18th May
:22:28. > :22:31.at Lands End. It travels around the South West of England for a week,
:22:31. > :22:35.before arriving here in South Wales on Saturday 26th May. That's where
:22:35. > :22:38.we'll be having our first show, in Caerphilly. We'll be on air at 9am
:22:38. > :22:45.on CBBC. And then, after the TV show's finished, that's when our
:22:45. > :22:52.free all-day event kicks off. Then we will be travelling to Belfast. A
:22:52. > :22:58.week later we will be in Dumbarton. On 16th June we will be in

:23:03. > :23:11.and on 7th July we will be in Saffron Walden. On 14th July, we
:23:11. > :23:15.will be in the Isle of Wight. We end up on 20 such -- 22nd July
:23:15. > :23:25.where some big event is happening. By that point there were only be a
:23:25. > :23:30.week to go. You know the details. That is a rubbish photo! I think we
:23:30. > :23:36.look lovely. Now it is time to find out how the Rizzle Kicks got on
:23:36. > :23:40.with their driving challenge. Did they pass or fail? Rizzle Kicks
:23:40. > :23:46.have swapped the stage for the steering wheel. The mirror checking,
:23:46. > :23:53.that is where everyone split -- slips up. They have gone from
:23:53. > :24:00.driving Norris's -- novices to learning as much as they can about
:24:00. > :24:05.a car. Will it pass or fail their mock driving tests? You can
:24:05. > :24:10.turninto excitement. I am most worried about checking, like my
:24:10. > :24:16.mirrors all the time. I have the good chance but we will have to
:24:16. > :24:22.wait and see a. The mock test will take place under real exam
:24:22. > :24:26.conditions with the instructors as their examiners. It is like a test
:24:26. > :24:31.scenario. They will be under pressure. I mark hard. I want my
:24:31. > :24:36.pupils to show a good degree of skill when it comes to driving.
:24:36. > :24:44.the driving test there are two categories of mistakes - the major
:24:44. > :24:54.or minor. You can pass it up to 15 minor mistakes but make one major
:24:54. > :24:55.
:24:55. > :25:04.mistake and it is an instant fail. Ali is first up. When you are ready,
:25:04. > :25:08.start us up? -- Harley. It is instantly all over. Harley was
:25:08. > :25:16.worried about looking in his mirror but he actually forgot to look over
:25:16. > :25:21.his shoulder for other vehicles - a major driving error. Next up,
:25:21. > :25:31.Jordan. Will he remember the over the shoulder observation? You may
:25:31. > :25:31.
