0:00:15 > 0:00:18CLUCKING Where did this come from?
0:00:34 > 0:00:35CHEERING
0:00:35 > 0:00:37ALL: Hello!
0:00:37 > 0:00:39- Hi.- Welcome to Blue Peter.- Hello.
0:00:39 > 0:00:43It is now official, there is just one sleep left
0:00:43 > 0:00:47until the opening ceremony of the Rio Olympics 2016,
0:00:47 > 0:00:49- and are we excited?- Yes, we are! - CHEERING
0:00:49 > 0:00:51Of course we are!
0:00:51 > 0:00:53We know that Team GB are going to do us so proud,
0:00:53 > 0:00:55so a massive good luck to everybody out in Rio.
0:00:55 > 0:00:58- We're jealous, aren't we?- We are very jealous. I want to be there.
0:00:58 > 0:01:01So while you're watching the action unfold over the next few weeks,
0:01:01 > 0:01:03keep your eyes peeled for this bad boy.
0:01:03 > 0:01:04- That is the BP Sport Badge 2016. - Ooh!
0:01:04 > 0:01:06Brand-new, people.
0:01:06 > 0:01:08And we have given this to every member of Team GB,
0:01:08 > 0:01:09so keep an eye out for it.
0:01:09 > 0:01:13Competition winner Sam and myself get to go to kitting out
0:01:13 > 0:01:17which is where all the athletes get their official Olympics Team GB kit
0:01:17 > 0:01:20and we'll give you an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour.
0:01:20 > 0:01:23We're keeping it with the Olympics theme as well cos Radzi and I
0:01:23 > 0:01:25are heading to the velodrome for one of those epic challenges.
0:01:25 > 0:01:27Speaking of epic challenges,
0:01:27 > 0:01:29Radzi and I go head-to-head up a mountain, surfing.
0:01:29 > 0:01:31Sounds weird, but it happened.
0:01:31 > 0:01:34The rain, I think, has now officially started!
0:01:34 > 0:01:37But it's worth pointing out actually that the Sports Badge
0:01:37 > 0:01:39isn't just for Team GB athletes or Blue Peter presenters,
0:01:39 > 0:01:42it's for all of you at home to grab one this summer,
0:01:42 > 0:01:43perfect for your badge baton.
0:01:43 > 0:01:46All the details about that are on the Blue Peter website,
0:01:46 > 0:01:49with a cheeky, handy guide.
0:01:49 > 0:01:50I think it's pretty safe to say
0:01:50 > 0:01:53that we love trying a new sport and actually the one behind us here
0:01:53 > 0:01:55is something that I want to get my hands on!
0:01:55 > 0:01:57Well, actually, it's the one thing you can't do.
0:01:57 > 0:01:59- You can't get your hands on anything.- Ha-ha!
0:01:59 > 0:02:01Because this is a different game. You can use your feet,
0:02:01 > 0:02:03you can use your shoulders, your chest, your knees,
0:02:03 > 0:02:06- anything but your hands. - Love it!- Ladies and gentlemen,
0:02:06 > 0:02:10- boys and girls, this is footvolley. - Whoa, it looks so much fun!
0:02:10 > 0:02:12And who better to talk us through it and show us the ropes
0:02:12 > 0:02:15then England's number one, David Donkin. Come on over, David.
0:02:15 > 0:02:18- Once you've done that header! Nicely done.- Hi, guys.
0:02:18 > 0:02:19- Nice to meet you, David. - Nice to see you guys.
0:02:19 > 0:02:22- Thank you for coming on the show. - Thanks for having us.
0:02:22 > 0:02:24Can you talk us through - what exactly is footvolley?
0:02:24 > 0:02:26- It looks like a lot of fun. - It's great, we love it.
0:02:26 > 0:02:28It's a combination of football and volleyball.
0:02:28 > 0:02:32So you have three touches on each side but, like in football,
0:02:32 > 0:02:34you can't use your arms or your hands.
0:02:34 > 0:02:36So it's every other part of your body - chest, feet, head.
0:02:36 > 0:02:38So are we going to see you performing in Rio?
0:02:38 > 0:02:40We are invited to a competition during the Olympics,
0:02:40 > 0:02:43but unfortunately it's not yet an Olympic sport.
0:02:43 > 0:02:46But when we're there, lots of countries will be there,
0:02:46 > 0:02:49to show basically everyone what footvolley is
0:02:49 > 0:02:52and the skills that are involved. It should be a great opportunity.
0:02:52 > 0:02:54It is hosted by an old footballer called Romario.
0:02:54 > 0:02:57- Absolute legend. - Yeah, so it's really cool,
0:02:57 > 0:02:58hopefully get an opportunity to go there.
0:02:58 > 0:03:00- Amazing.- I'd prefer to play it in Rio.
0:03:00 > 0:03:02- Bit warmer there, isn't it? - A nice beach, in the sun.
0:03:02 > 0:03:04So normally you do play on sand with bare feet.
0:03:04 > 0:03:07But today, we're just on a slightly smaller court, on grass.
0:03:07 > 0:03:10Which you can do, you can play on grass, hard court, anywhere, really.
0:03:10 > 0:03:12- Can you show us the ropes? - Sure. Yeah, let's go.
0:03:12 > 0:03:15We'll do some tryouts. So, to start with,
0:03:15 > 0:03:17Matt here will demonstrate a few skills.
0:03:17 > 0:03:19Two skills we're going to do is the header and the knee.
0:03:19 > 0:03:21- OK?- Absolutely. - So if we just come over here.
0:03:21 > 0:03:24- Did he mention the word "skills", then? He did, didn't he?- Yeah!
0:03:24 > 0:03:26- So Matt here is going to do an attacking header.- OK.
0:03:26 > 0:03:28So just head it over the net.
0:03:28 > 0:03:31- Good, Matt!- Wow! He's not messing around, is he?
0:03:31 > 0:03:33- He's not, is he? - So do you guys fancy having a go?
0:03:33 > 0:03:34- Yes!- Let's do it.- OK.
0:03:34 > 0:03:38- So, Lindsay, do you want to go first?- Go on, then.- Go on, Linds!
0:03:38 > 0:03:39- So...- Go on, Linds!
0:03:39 > 0:03:41Oh, yes!
0:03:41 > 0:03:44- That was good!- I've got a foggy head now, but it's fine!
0:03:44 > 0:03:46- That was very good.- No pressure! - Go on, Barn, go for it.
0:03:46 > 0:03:49Cheers, Fred!
0:03:49 > 0:03:52- Boom!- Just like that!
0:03:52 > 0:03:55- We're naturals!- That is good. OK.
0:03:55 > 0:03:58- Yes, Fred!- All right, Radz. - Go on, Radz.- Here we go.
0:03:58 > 0:04:02- Oh, yes!- Very good. - Top of the 'fro, that one was.
0:04:02 > 0:04:04So the final skill we're going to do is the knee.
0:04:04 > 0:04:05So Matt's going to demonstrate.
0:04:05 > 0:04:07You can use this as a pass to your team-mate
0:04:07 > 0:04:09or over the net like that.
0:04:09 > 0:04:11- He makes it look really easy, doesn't he?- Well, not always!
0:04:11 > 0:04:14You've all got red patches on your right knee!
0:04:14 > 0:04:17- All right, here we go. - So, Lindsay, you're up again.
0:04:17 > 0:04:19Go on, Linds.
0:04:19 > 0:04:21- Oh! Good effort!- Unlucky.
0:04:21 > 0:04:23Under the net, does that count? Not really!
0:04:23 > 0:04:25My favourite thing about that was the finish position.
0:04:25 > 0:04:27It was like that, it was like superhero!
0:04:27 > 0:04:29Go on, Barns, show me how it's done.
0:04:29 > 0:04:31- OK, ready when you are, Fred. - Go on, Barn!
0:04:31 > 0:04:35- Oh!- It's a good pass.- The knee is hard, actually, isn't it?
0:04:35 > 0:04:37- It is hard.- Go on, Radz, you can do it.
0:04:37 > 0:04:40If Radz can't do it, no-one can!
0:04:40 > 0:04:43- Yes, Radzi!- Great shot. - You love that corner over there.
0:04:43 > 0:04:45- Great shot.- Fantastic. So that's just two of the skills.
0:04:45 > 0:04:48I mean, we could do the feet and the chest, the other things,
0:04:48 > 0:04:50- but I think that's good enough for now.- OK.- Brilliant.
0:04:50 > 0:04:52- So now it comes to selection time. - Oh, goodness.
0:04:52 > 0:04:55- Right, for the game at the end of the show?- Yeah.
0:04:55 > 0:04:57So, yeah, you've all been brilliant.
0:04:57 > 0:04:59I think we'll have to go...
0:04:59 > 0:05:02- You've all been brilliant! - ..for Radzi and Barney.
0:05:02 > 0:05:04- But you've been brilliant! - Well done, Linds.
0:05:04 > 0:05:07- That's fine! I don't mind.- You can be the commentator.- Yeah.- OK.
0:05:07 > 0:05:10- You're good at commentating.- I've got a stinging knee anyway.- Yeah.
0:05:10 > 0:05:13I think it's safe to say we need all the help we can get,
0:05:13 > 0:05:14which is actually a little bit
0:05:14 > 0:05:17like the challenge Lindsay and I recently went on.
0:05:17 > 0:05:21We went head-to-head, surfing up a mountain!
0:05:21 > 0:05:22Check this out.
0:05:26 > 0:05:28Catching the first wave of the day...
0:05:30 > 0:05:34..breaking the surface of the water...
0:05:34 > 0:05:36the freedom,
0:05:36 > 0:05:38the ride.
0:05:40 > 0:05:44Surfing. Some say it's in the soul.
0:05:44 > 0:05:46- Linds...- Radzi, shh,
0:05:46 > 0:05:49I'm trying to make the start of the film look really cool.
0:05:49 > 0:05:51But aren't we missing something?
0:05:51 > 0:05:54- What do you mean?- A beach!
0:05:54 > 0:05:56Ah.
0:05:56 > 0:05:58Yeah, fair point, Radz.
0:05:58 > 0:05:59When you think of surfing,
0:05:59 > 0:06:02you'd probably imagine sandy beaches and the sea.
0:06:02 > 0:06:04Not a lake in the Welsh countryside.
0:06:05 > 0:06:08This is Surf Snowdonia
0:06:08 > 0:06:11and it attracts some of the best surfers in the world,
0:06:11 > 0:06:15like four times Welsh champion, Jo Dennison.
0:06:15 > 0:06:19I'm pumped to be here, we can see how big those waves are.
0:06:19 > 0:06:20But we're not at a beach.
0:06:20 > 0:06:22How on earth does this work?
0:06:22 > 0:06:24And we've got a tub for you to help explain it to us.
0:06:24 > 0:06:27It's really simple. Basically, there's big snowplough
0:06:27 > 0:06:30that goes down the pier and that creates the waves.
0:06:30 > 0:06:31Just like this.
0:06:31 > 0:06:33The snowplough goes through the water,
0:06:33 > 0:06:37which pushes the water out of the way and you get really fun waves.
0:06:37 > 0:06:40Oh, right, so it's actually creating a wave each side of the plough,
0:06:40 > 0:06:42- isn't it?- Exactly. - And you can surf on them.
0:06:42 > 0:06:43Well, you made it look so easy,
0:06:43 > 0:06:45I don't think we're going to look quite like that, are we?
0:06:45 > 0:06:49I've actually done a lot of surfing myself, on the internet.
0:06:51 > 0:06:52Unlike in the sea,
0:06:52 > 0:06:56the snowplough creates a two-metre wave every 90 seconds.
0:06:58 > 0:07:01Jo's going to give us a surfing masterclass,
0:07:01 > 0:07:03but we need to start on dry land.
0:07:03 > 0:07:05OK, so this is the front,
0:07:05 > 0:07:07this is the tail,
0:07:07 > 0:07:09the top, where we're going to be standing on,
0:07:09 > 0:07:11and we've got our fins and they help you with steering
0:07:11 > 0:07:13when you're on a wave.
0:07:13 > 0:07:15'But before we even think about steering,
0:07:15 > 0:07:17'we need to master standing up.'
0:07:17 > 0:07:19OK, when you're lying on your board,
0:07:19 > 0:07:21you want to keep nice and streamlined,
0:07:21 > 0:07:24so keep your toes together. So you can see the wave coming,
0:07:24 > 0:07:26so if you just look over your shoulder
0:07:26 > 0:07:30- and you're going to start to paddle. - Linds, paddle, quick!
0:07:30 > 0:07:33OK, right. So I'm going to go one, two,
0:07:33 > 0:07:35and you're surfing.
0:07:35 > 0:07:38- OK.- OK?
0:07:38 > 0:07:40- OK, right.- I'm surfing!
0:07:40 > 0:07:43- Linds, you're off! - Time to get in the water?
0:07:43 > 0:07:47- Yes!- Sounds good!- Linds, are you up for getting in the water?
0:07:48 > 0:07:51'Never again... No more water...'
0:07:52 > 0:07:56- Linds, Linds.- Sorry. Yeah? - Linds.- Sorry.- Shall we go?
0:07:56 > 0:08:00- Yeah.- Yeah, let's go.- I love a water-based challenge.- Yeah.
0:08:03 > 0:08:07'First up, Jo wants us to get used to catching the waves.'
0:08:07 > 0:08:12'We need to lie down and paddle as hard as we can, with our arms.'
0:08:12 > 0:08:14Whoo!
0:08:14 > 0:08:18'And when you get it right, it's so much fun!'
0:08:24 > 0:08:28'Now we've got a feel for the waves, it's time to try and stand up.'
0:08:28 > 0:08:31LINDSAY SCREAMS
0:08:31 > 0:08:33'This is so much harder than it looks
0:08:33 > 0:08:36'and Jo hasn't finished with us yet.'
0:08:38 > 0:08:40OK, so we've got time for one more surf session.
0:08:40 > 0:08:42- OK.- We're going to do a challenge. - Yes!
0:08:42 > 0:08:45Whoever stands up for the longest on a wave
0:08:45 > 0:08:48will be crowned Blue Peter surfing superstar.
0:08:48 > 0:08:50- Oh!- Wow.
0:08:50 > 0:08:53'So it's the best of three waves.
0:08:53 > 0:08:55'Who can stay up the longest?
0:08:55 > 0:08:57'And I'm first. Here we go!
0:08:58 > 0:09:01'Ah, that didn't go quite to plan.'
0:09:01 > 0:09:03'Unlucky, Linds. My turn now.
0:09:05 > 0:09:08'No, got the timing all wrong.'
0:09:08 > 0:09:10'OK, here we go. Round two.
0:09:10 > 0:09:12'I manage to catch the wave...
0:09:14 > 0:09:18'..but again, I just can't stand up.'
0:09:18 > 0:09:20'Let's see if I can do better.
0:09:20 > 0:09:22'Up! I'm actually up!
0:09:22 > 0:09:24'That must count, surely!'
0:09:25 > 0:09:27'OK, time for my final go.
0:09:27 > 0:09:29'I can't let Radzi win.
0:09:30 > 0:09:31'Oh, nearly!
0:09:33 > 0:09:35'Oh, no!'
0:09:35 > 0:09:38'Come on, Radzi, one last chance to get this right.
0:09:38 > 0:09:40'This is the one!
0:09:42 > 0:09:46'I'm surfing! I'm actually surfing!
0:09:46 > 0:09:48'I'm up! I'm balancing!
0:09:48 > 0:09:49'I think... I've done it!'
0:09:51 > 0:09:54I just surfed the line properly!
0:09:54 > 0:09:55HE LAUGHS
0:09:55 > 0:09:57Mwah!
0:09:57 > 0:10:00I loved it. I absolutely loved it.
0:10:00 > 0:10:02And when you get it, you feel on top of the world.
0:10:02 > 0:10:05Well, Radz, here you go.
0:10:05 > 0:10:07I think you won this fair and square today.
0:10:07 > 0:10:09- Ah, look at that!- Well done.
0:10:09 > 0:10:12Now, get in the water and go and ride it in.
0:10:12 > 0:10:16- Let's go!- No, don't, don't! - No, I won't, I'll hurt myself!
0:10:19 > 0:10:22- Mum, I surfed a wave! - You looked so pro, Radz.

0:10:25 > 0:10:27- I was not.- No, you were good. Well done for trying.- Thanks.

0:10:44 > 0:10:46It was Tabitha's idea to involve Lottie
0:10:46 > 0:10:48and teach her how to do the crab.
0:10:48 > 0:10:50Apparently Lottie fell over a bit while she was practising.
0:10:50 > 0:10:52- That's how you learn.- Absolutely.
0:10:52 > 0:10:54I'm delighted to announce that Lottie is now starting

0:11:00 > 0:11:02That's not going to happen!
0:11:02 > 0:11:04I love this. It's been sent in by Megan.
0:11:04 > 0:11:07Check her out right there, in the coolest leggings ever, by the way.
0:11:07 > 0:11:10She inspired her friend Imogen to take up wheelchair basketball

0:15:54 > 0:15:55Go on, Barn.
0:15:55 > 0:15:58'Now all I need to do is remember my training,

0:16:23 > 0:16:26Come on, Barney! Come on!
0:16:27 > 0:16:29'I try to sprint for two laps instead of one

0:16:32 > 0:16:35'The one event I've always been strongest at
0:16:35 > 0:16:37'and I've thrown it away. I am gutted.'
0:16:37 > 0:16:38Is that it?
0:16:40 > 0:16:42'Unlucky, Barney.
0:16:42 > 0:16:43'Now it's my turn.'
0:16:46 > 0:16:48'I keep as high as I can and when it matters
0:16:48 > 0:16:50- 'I drop down on the bell...' - BELL RINGS
0:16:50 > 0:16:52'..just as my last lap starts.
0:16:56 > 0:16:58'But I go a bit wide on the corner
0:16:58 > 0:16:59'and it's slowing me down.'
0:16:59 > 0:17:02Hold your line! Hold your line!
0:17:02 > 0:17:05'My legs are burning but I keep on pedalling.
0:17:05 > 0:17:07'Come on, Radzi. This is the last bend.
0:17:07 > 0:17:09'I have to go for it now.
0:17:12 > 0:17:16'Oh, I've done it. Beating Barney by three seconds.
0:17:16 > 0:17:18'That's one to me.'
0:17:18 > 0:17:20I just gave that everything.
0:17:20 > 0:17:22Absolutely everything.
0:17:23 > 0:17:25Next, the match sprint.
0:17:25 > 0:17:28A tactical race with both riders going head-to-head on track
0:17:28 > 0:17:32and sprinting flat out for the finish.
0:17:32 > 0:17:35And before we hit the track, our training partners, Josh and Tilly,
0:17:35 > 0:17:38arrive to offer us some advice.
0:17:38 > 0:17:39Josh, I'm in trouble, what can I do?
0:17:39 > 0:17:43Make sure you can always see Radzi so you can anticipate his moves.
0:17:43 > 0:17:46- OK, Tilly?- I think you need to move around the track,
0:17:46 > 0:17:48- confuse him a little bit. - I can do that, I reckon.
0:17:48 > 0:17:50It doesn't take a lot to confuse me. You know that, mate.
0:17:50 > 0:17:52'Let battle commence.'
0:17:52 > 0:17:54Go on, Barney. Go, Radzi!
0:17:54 > 0:17:58'I decide to take the lead early and see what Radzi does.'
0:17:58 > 0:18:00'Don't you worry, Barn. 'I'm close behind.'
0:18:00 > 0:18:02I've got you, Radz.
0:18:02 > 0:18:03'I'm trying to keep an eye on Radzi
0:18:03 > 0:18:06'but it's hard looking over your shoulder.'
0:18:06 > 0:18:08'I am hanging back for a surprise attack.'
0:18:11 > 0:18:15'As the bell rings, I decide to go for it.'
0:18:15 > 0:18:18'My only hope is to overtake him on the bend.
0:18:18 > 0:18:20'But again, I go wide.
0:18:23 > 0:18:26'I try to catch him but he's left me so much to do.'
0:18:27 > 0:18:29'I have no idea where Radzi is any more.
0:18:29 > 0:18:33'My head is down and I'm going for the line.
0:18:33 > 0:18:35'And that makes it one-all.'
0:18:35 > 0:18:38I tried so hard to come back at you then.
0:18:38 > 0:18:42You were just absolutely pedal to the metal.
0:18:42 > 0:18:45Once that bell went, I didn't know where you were.
0:18:45 > 0:18:50So I took the flying lap, Barney took the sprint.
0:18:50 > 0:18:52It all comes down to this.
0:18:52 > 0:18:55Only one of us can win this.
0:18:55 > 0:18:59This is the decider, the kilo.
0:18:59 > 0:19:01Starting from opposite sides of the track,
0:19:01 > 0:19:04we have just four laps to try and catch each other up.
0:19:04 > 0:19:07First person across the finish line wins.
0:19:07 > 0:19:09You know what you're doing.
0:19:09 > 0:19:12I just want to see you give it all out on the track.
0:19:14 > 0:19:15'And we're off.
0:19:15 > 0:19:18'I get a better start and pedal as hard as I can.'
0:19:18 > 0:19:21'It takes me a while to build up my speed.'
0:19:21 > 0:19:22Come on!
0:19:22 > 0:19:25'After the first lap, it's neck and neck.'
0:19:25 > 0:19:27'And I've decided to go for it.'
0:19:27 > 0:19:28Go, Radz!
0:19:28 > 0:19:31'But will I last the whole race?'
0:19:31 > 0:19:34'I'm still in this, I just have to keep on pushing.'
0:19:36 > 0:19:40'I begin my last lap but my legs are really starting to tire.'
0:19:40 > 0:19:43'Me too. I'm giving it everything and I have no idea where Radzi is.
0:19:43 > 0:19:48'I can just see Barney. For the first time I know I'm catching him.
0:19:48 > 0:19:50'I see the finish line and I realise I've done it.'
0:19:50 > 0:19:53Thank you!
0:19:53 > 0:19:55'I may have won but, more importantly,
0:19:55 > 0:19:59'we've absolutely loved this challenge.'
0:20:00 > 0:20:04Well, didn't that look like a nice, dry indoor challenge?
0:20:04 > 0:20:06Unlike today's, but we're going to have fun regardless.
0:20:06 > 0:20:09Now, earlier on Barney, Radzi and I, we kind of did a bit of a tryout...
0:20:09 > 0:20:12- Yeah, you did really well. - ..for the England team.
0:20:12 > 0:20:15You say I did well but I didn't quite make the cut, did I, today?
0:20:15 > 0:20:18No. So it's going to be Barney and Radzi there
0:20:18 > 0:20:20with the English footvolley team. We're going to do a bit of a match.
0:20:20 > 0:20:22- Yeah.- Before we do, Dave...- Sure.
0:20:22 > 0:20:24..could you just chat us through the rules again?
0:20:24 > 0:20:26It's a mixture of football and volleyball.
0:20:26 > 0:20:29So, like in football, you can't use your arms or your hands
0:20:29 > 0:20:31- but you can use all the other parts of your body.- OK.
0:20:31 > 0:20:34And it's three touches each side of the net and then if
0:20:34 > 0:20:36you land the ball in your opponent's area, you win the point.
0:20:36 > 0:20:38- Fine.- Normally you can play to 18
0:20:38 > 0:20:40but I think today we're just doing a one-minute match.
0:20:40 > 0:20:43A bit of a mini one-minute match. The boys are limbering up there.
0:20:43 > 0:20:45They're trying not to pull any muscles today.
0:20:45 > 0:20:47- Shall we start it?- Go for it. - Three, two, one.
0:20:47 > 0:20:50- WHISTLE BLOWS - Off you go, boys.
0:20:50 > 0:20:52- There they go. - They're off to a good start.
0:20:52 > 0:20:54Nice little chest move... Oh.
0:20:54 > 0:20:56Straight past Barney's legs there.
0:20:56 > 0:20:58- Barney, you can use your legs... - Thank you!- ..remember.
0:20:58 > 0:21:01It's no hands. Here we go. Second go.
0:21:01 > 0:21:02It's back over the net.
0:21:02 > 0:21:05Radzi, oh! I think we've got to count...
0:21:05 > 0:21:08- Is that in?- Yeah, that was in. When it touches the line, it's in.
0:21:08 > 0:21:09To anyone at home, Dave,
0:21:09 > 0:21:12who thinks this looks great fun, which it is, actually.
0:21:12 > 0:21:14It's kind of more fun in the rain, to be honest.
0:21:14 > 0:21:15What can they do to have a go?
0:21:15 > 0:21:18Sure, so, you can play on sand, on grass, on a hard court.
0:21:18 > 0:21:20It's good to just get in there,
0:21:20 > 0:21:23get some friends and try and play and have some fun, really.
0:21:23 > 0:21:26A top tip as well...
0:21:26 > 0:21:29- Radzi's diving all over the shop here.- A top tip for beginners...
0:21:29 > 0:21:32- Yeah.- ..sometimes when you start, just getting that rally going
0:21:32 > 0:21:34to start with while you develop technique.
0:21:34 > 0:21:36Yeah. It can take a bit of time so you can allow one bounce...
0:21:36 > 0:21:38- OK.- ..just to develop that technique.
0:21:38 > 0:21:41And we want all the kids at home, if you're enjoying it and want to play,
0:21:41 > 0:21:43- speak to your PE teacher.- Hello.
0:21:43 > 0:21:45Whoa! Nearly took out the commentators.
0:21:45 > 0:21:46Three, two, one.
0:21:46 > 0:21:50- I think that might be game over. - WHISTLE BLOWS
0:21:50 > 0:21:52Stop, boys. It's over.
0:21:52 > 0:21:54Come on over, Radzi.
0:21:54 > 0:21:57Radzi's made up some nice moves during footvolley there.
0:21:57 > 0:22:00It looked nice. Come on over. What was the final score?
0:22:00 > 0:22:02- It was 11-6 to us. - I think you might have made that up.
0:22:02 > 0:22:06- Yeah, I did. I don't know what the score was.- I think my afro won.
0:22:06 > 0:22:08- That was fun.- You're all looking a little bit drained.
0:22:08 > 0:22:10- You did all right, actually. First time.- Yeah.
0:22:10 > 0:22:13Thank you so much for coming and showing us the footvolley ropes.
0:22:13 > 0:22:16- You definitely earned your BP Sport Badge.- Oh, yes.
0:22:16 > 0:22:18I've got it on already.
0:22:18 > 0:22:21Everybody loves their Blue Peter Sport Badge,
0:22:21 > 0:22:24including members of Team GB and that's because if they qualified
0:22:24 > 0:22:27for Rio, they got one of them themselves and I was there
0:22:27 > 0:22:28for the kitting out.
0:22:30 > 0:22:33Back in February, we launched a competition
0:22:33 > 0:22:37to design the 2016 Blue Peter Sport Badge.
0:22:38 > 0:22:42It's time to show you all about our brand-new Team GB competition.
0:22:42 > 0:22:46Thousands of you applied but the judges had to pick just one design.
0:22:46 > 0:22:48The winner is...
0:22:48 > 0:22:50Sam from Stafford.
0:22:50 > 0:22:52Sam, Sam, Sam. Straight up top, my friend.
0:22:52 > 0:22:56'As well as his design becoming our badge,
0:22:56 > 0:23:00'Sam also got to visit the Team GB kitting out session.
0:23:00 > 0:23:02'This is where all the athletes collect everything they need
0:23:02 > 0:23:06'for Rio, from rucksacks to running shoes.
0:23:06 > 0:23:10'But before we go in, there's something I need to do.'
0:23:10 > 0:23:12- So you've actually applied for the Sport Badge?- Yes.
0:23:12 > 0:23:15I actually know that you've applied for it. How do I know that?
0:23:15 > 0:23:17Because I've got your form right here.
0:23:17 > 0:23:20So let's open it up and see who you...
0:23:20 > 0:23:23Who did you inspire and what did you inspire them to do?
0:23:23 > 0:23:25I inspired my friend to do cricket.
0:23:25 > 0:23:28- And he did it?- Yes. - Did he enjoy it?- He enjoyed it.
0:23:28 > 0:23:33You've now got your very own, YOUR Blue Peter Sport Badge 2016.

0:23:40 > 0:23:43- Thank you.- My pleasure. It's down to you.
0:23:43 > 0:23:47So now Sam officially has his own badge,

0:23:56 > 0:23:59Each day, a different team of athletes collect everything
0:23:59 > 0:24:04they need for the Olympics, and that even includes fancy suits.
0:24:04 > 0:24:08Today, it's the turn of the sailing team, who have high hopes for Rio.
0:24:08 > 0:24:12Just behind me we've got all of Team GB's sailing squad
0:24:12 > 0:24:15and they're all getting fitted out with some of their clothes.
0:24:15 > 0:24:17This is a really special moment for them.

0:24:20 > 0:24:22and get the Team GB logo on.
0:24:22 > 0:24:24As well as being an incredible designer,
0:24:24 > 0:24:28Sam's eyes are also razor-sharp because he's noticed something

0:24:29 > 0:24:33- What is that, Sam?- It's messages. It says, "Good luck.
0:24:33 > 0:24:35"Raise the bar.
0:24:35 > 0:24:36"Go far."
